Forgotten Bathroom The rickety old door that previously would not budge no matter who tried to open it for nearly a century has suddenly become a bit more accommodating. |
All the exploring. Noelle had practically been on every floor. Of course, she wasnt doing a hardcore look around but she was looking around. She needed to know things, and find things. Plus, she was just nosy. Noelle reached the sixth floor. Her tiny limbs ready to fall off. ALL THE STAIRS! There were about a gazillion! She slumped. She had to use the bathroom too... which was unfortunate because she wasnt sure where one was. Her excitement was running short as she started looking around for the bathroom. "Here bathroom! Come out, come out wherever you are!" She called sleepily. Yawning, she opened a door. A BATHROOM! She perked up a bit at being able to relieve herself. Noelle entered the bathroom and looked around. She cocked a brow though. This bathroom had boxes everywhere in it. With the letter W on them. What did... W mean? Curiosity made Noelle peek inside one of the boxes closest to her. She lifted the lid slowly, afraid something might pop out. She cocked her head to the side unsure what she was looking at when she saw things in the box. Picking a ball like thing up, she examined it closely. What was this? |

AND THERE WAS A PERSON THERE. A girl person, judging by the skirt, but apparently that was no real indication because the Scots wore kilts and that was apparently really comfy and airy. Hmm. Maybe should try a kilt, and carry a bagpipe for effect. That was definitely a thought. Tiptoeing inside, Brian looked around. Cobwebs EVERYWHERE. It was like last year, only he knew for sure now that man-eating spiders were a real thing and not another story. Shudder. Wait, she was examining something. How scienteriffic of her! He acknowledged the awfulness of that mental word mentally, but it really was pretty cool. Also, "What is that thing?" SQUINT. CUE SQUINTING AND PEEEERING. |
Noelle turned the little ball in her hands. It looked familiar. Like something she had seen before. She knew she had seen it. Sometime... somewhere... but where? She tilted her head and rubbed off some of the cobweb that was still on it. W labelled box and little balls and other gadgets... What was thissss? Noelle was just about to put it down again when she heard a voice behind her. Yelping, she accidentally sent the little ball flying. " AHH! you scared me!" she managed to squeak out just before the ball hit the floor. BOOOM!!! A puff of smoke escaped from the ball and a horrible odor started to leak from it. A stink bomb. Noelle was putting two and two together as she covered her mouth and dived to the floor. EW! Stinky bathroom cobby webbed floor! Disguuuusting! It must be the Weasley's Dungbombs. And of course, the bomb had exploded right by the door. There was no going out of there. Noelle reached up and pulled the big goof who scared hers robes to help him down before his eyes started watering for the putrid smell. |

and he was being pulled to the floor. This time, his body reacted quickly. Painfully so, since he came CRASHING down onto the floor. Ouch? Definite ouch. Pulling himself up into a sitting position on the floor, he held his robes up to cover his nose and mouth and gestured for her to do the same. Yeah, do that before you end up vomitting because that was definitely not a very nice thing to inhale. It wasn't a nice thing to inhale AT ALL. Nope. "I'm really sorry I scared yOU," he said, from behind his robe. And then had to resist the urge to facepalm when his voice cracked at the end of it. Nooooo. That was just not cool. Awful way to make first impressions. |
Oh Gosh he is just precious! Quote:
"Are you okay??" She asked the older looking boy as she moved into a tiny crawl space. She was not going anywhere near that smell. She was trying her hardest to get away from it the best she could. "I know you didn't mean to scare me. i dont usually frighten easily but...." But she was in a room that she didn't think she was supposed to be in so she was scared she had been caught. Now they definitely would be caught because the smell was sure to be wafting down the corridor. BAH! The smell. It was reaching her nostrils. She pulled the robes tighter to her nose and looked until she saw a crawlspace above one of the toilets. Beaming, but her smile hidden due to robes, she started towards that crawlspace. She was getting out of here and away from that horrible, putrid smell! |

Oh. There was a way. And he couldn't quite do it last term because it seemed show-offy but now seemed like a good time to need it and so he pulled out his wand and pointed it at his face. "Viseo ebullio," he said, with the last bit of air in his lungs and with the bubble formed around his head, he looked for the girl. Where did she go? This charm would probably wear off soon because his spell-casting ability was miserable. MORE IMPORTANTLY, he'd lost the girl. HE HAD LOST A STUDENT. IN A BATHROOM. AT HOGWARTS. It was like 1942 all over again, students going missing in toilets and there were MONSTERS in this school like you wouldn't imagine. And he lost the girl. OH NO. "Where'd you gooooooo?" he asked, freaking out a little. Yeah, now he couldn't remember the spell to suck up all the toxic fumes that he had learned in potions last year. Great. It would come eventually, but BRIAN COULDN'T THINK WHEN HE WAS FREAKING OUT, OKAY? ALL HE COULD SEE WERE FUMES AND HE WAS NOT OKAY. SOMEONE SEND HELP. "Oh my God, I think I just killed a firstie." It was the only logical conclusion. Excuse him while he just stood there in shock and horror at himself. |

Noelle was almost in the stall to the toilet. Her face was RED. Like... TOMATO RED. But when she tried to breathe she kept choking. The smell was so horrid! She climbed up onto the toilet and reached for the crawl space. She couldnt reach and she couldnt breathe. Oh lord. She was going to die. HER FIRST YEAR AT HOGWARTS AND SHE WAS GOING TO DIE BECAUSE OF A DUNGBOMB! Looking around for the boy, she found him with a... a.... bubble on his head? Holy mess she needed to figure out that spell. SHe waved frantically to get his attention. She couldnt call out because breath holding and face reddening. LOOk OLDER BOY LOOK AT ME! Except he was looking everywhere but here. Stamping her food, she tried not to fall into the bowl... okay. New plan. Grabbing a toilet paper roll she threw it at him... which managed to hit him in the shoulder. More waving. COME ON BLOKE! LOOK AT ME! |
with Dante. same timeline? different timeline? WHO KNOWS! With Mr. Barrington hopefully still behind him - the astronomer had been a little eager on the staircases and taken several at a time - the duo at the bathroom. Using his shoulder to push the door open, he stumbled inside. "Here we are," he announced. "Just need to figure out which box is housing fireworks." |
Quote:
Nope. Well he had never been here before. "You sure there are fireworks that wont blow up in your faces the moment we open the box?" Dante would not doubt it for a second in this school |
Quote:
No, he wouldn't allow himself to think that just yet. "No," he said with a cheeky smile. What? He couldn't say with absolute certainty that nothing in her wouldn't blow up in their faces. Where was the Slytherin's sense of adventure? Oh, wait. He knew where that probably had gone. The sense of reckless abandonment that came with Gryffindor exploration, that is. It had probably perished along with Mr. Bastion. Clapping his hands together, he took a few steps further into the loo and examined a few boxes. "Life is like a box of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes," he chuckled, selecting one off the floor and presenting it to the young man to take. "You never know what you're gonna get." |
Quote:
He expected that answer from him. This was like an adventure to the Loo, expect a lot cooler because they were searching for Fireworks. Though now he would have to do some work. Which he did not really want to do. He did not even know what to expect so he guessed this was better than no fireworks. Shrug. And please Airey. That line sounded like that famous line in a really old movie that Dante has forgotten the name too. Though it was genius. Anyway, time to get searching. Dante walked over to the box closet to him and opened it COUGH....COUGH. "Professor, this one is a dungbomb." And oh did it smell horrible. Dante had to pinch his nose hoping for the smell to go away. |
Quote:
Scampering off to a different section of the loo, they could cover more ground that way, the astronomer wiggled his fingers eagerly over the orange boxes. Some looked a little worse for wear than others and he discarded some of the more water logged options - fireworks would surely be ruined by this point if they were in those boxes - he selected one juuuuuuuuuuuuuuust as a certain putrid smell filled his nostrils and caused his eyes to water. The Slytherin need not even say it. Airey was all too familiar with the odor. Wand out, he cast a Bubble-Head Charm around himself and tried to relax his tense shoulders. Oh sweet solstice. "Ooooooooooooh!" the professor giggled as he opened up his box. "I remember these. Merlin, it's been years." And how he was feeling quite nostalgic over something as simple as a Weasley's Wet Weather. |
Quote:
Also, what would happen if he hit a ghost with that charm? Would the bubble pass through them? It sounded uncomfortable. More importantly, though, what would happen if the school found out he'd killed a first year? He could get EXPELLED! But he was just 13 and hardly knew any magic! He'd be forced to live in the Muggle world, probably. He'd heard about how they broke criminals' wands. Was that going to happen? He quite liked his wand, even if it rarely ever cooperated with him. Or what if they sent him to prison? His ma would be so devastated. He'd just pretty much ruined his life. He killed a first year. Even if it was an accident. OH NO. |
Quote:
Using your advanced knowledge of magic to put a bubble on your head. While the fourth year Slytherin has to suffer with the horrible smell of a dungbomb. So unfair. Dante was still trying to get the smell off of him and failing spectacularly. So he almost missed what Airey got from his box. "What did you get. If it is not dangerous. Why not use it to get this dungbomb smell away" Dante opened another box and got a screaming yo-yo. Which he used because why not. Uh, he thought the scream would be worse. |
Quote:
After her breathing became normal, she pointed to the space above her. She needed him and he was still looking crazy and horrified. Poor kid. She did a little dance on the toilet and gestured to him. Wait, could she talk in the bubble?? Trying it out, she realized that it sounded to her like she was in a fish bowl. Is that what her voice sounded like? Boy.. no wonder people found her annoying. Noelle didn't know if he could hear her but she gestured and told him to come to her. She needed to see where the space went but she couldn't reach it. She needed him. |
Quote:
"Weasley's Wet Weather," he declared triumphantly before contemplating the young man's suggestion. "There is potential, but no real guarantee that it will do anything to relieve the smell. You know, there are three primary sources of smells that commonly occur after rain that give it that refreshing and clean aroma. One being the ozone layer...which I doubt these products were charmed to mimic..." Although the challenge of patenting something so dangerous as pure ozone - which in high concentrations could destroy cells in your lungs - did seem the sort of Gryffindor challenge the twins would have been down for. Assuming they even knew about the ozone layer...which...well.... Then there was the soil dwelling bacteria that...well...they WERE in a loo so there was bound to be bacteria in here....not the SAME sort...but still may be....spores around these here parts. Mold spores most likely... And speaking of mold...there were....plant-LIKE things around here...so two out of three ish wasn't so bad, right? "Sure. Why not," he mused, taking the box and flattening it a little to create a makeshift hat of sorts to cover his head. "You want to do the honors or shall I?" |
Quote:
He had no idea. But he was not sure i he expected Airey to say yes to giving it a try or just not surprised. Yeah lets go with option two. "You can do it" Dante wanted to watch and see what happens. Keeping his expectations low, of course |
Quote:
"I certainly can," he winked. Nothing wrong with his opening abilities. Just had to hope that they didn't have a dud on their hands. Discarding the wrappings over his shoulder, he quickly pulled off the umbrella-shaped lid...and nothing happened. Not immediately anyway. Maybe it was a dud? But then something began to happen, a sort of dark grey smoke oozed from the bottle and swirled up into the air to form a humble little black rain cloud. So...only partly a dud. Because it wasn't actually raining. Although it was continuing to grow in size, just very subtle so to the point it was not noticeable unless you looked away and looked back after an extended period of time. "Uh...rather anticlimactic, isn't it?" he sighed as he looked back at the box for a magical expiration date or something. |
Evie <3 Noel needed to go. But then, wrong bathroom. Six years and he still got it wrong. Pathetic, Wallace. But could you blame him? The boys bathroom was like two seconds away from this one - which also made him wonder why he hadn't stumbled in here sooner. Dropping his bag by the door, Noel walked further into the shabby bathroom. Usually he wouldn't have paid much attention to places like these because Hogwarts had a history of storing scary evil things in said places, but he had noticed the boxes everywhere and he was curious. |
FINALLY, sorry Quote:
Bolting it down the hallway after class, Evie held her bladder as long as she could and bursted right through the door of the first bathroom she found. She flung her bag onto the ground.... and then stopped when she realized where she was. Or... DIDN'T realize where she was? What the heck was this place? Clearly, it was a bathroom, but it was DIRTY and unused and filled with little orange boxes. Weasley boxes, even. She briefly wondered if the boxes had things in them, but she then realized that she was not the only one in said bathroom. And the other person was none other than Noel, Benzi's friend. "Err... hi." This was awkward. She still had to pee. |
