Post 4 - Hi Dot! Quote:
Decidedly numb and bored from all the sitting, the boy pushed himself up and walked toward the source of the noise. Unfortunately, by the time he got there it was all gone. "I found you." He bluffed, taking one step then the next. It was just as he hit maybe the other step or so that he felt his foot hit against something. ...?????? Curious, the boy reached for what he couldn't see and found himself tugging on fabric. "I really hope this is your sash 'cause I don't think the Professor wants us losing our clothes just cause we're invisible." Well...because whoever it was was invisible. Blaise wasn't invisible. Nope. He didn't magic well. Hi. |
Post 2 - Paulina's wandering around doing her own thing (1 sash) What an interesting game this was turning out to be with everyone hiding. Paulina had to admit it was rather amusing, because everyone was going invisible around her and as far as she knew they were all probably hiding by the ruins they way that she was. She could probably sit here by this rock for the rest of the lesson and nothing would happen. Her legs were starting to feel stiff though. Maybe getting up and walking for a bit would be a good idea. Hopefully she wouldn't bump into anyone, but who knows what could happen. Getting to her feet, she gave a long stretch before straightening her sash. Time for her to explore the ruins a little though she was going to be cautious. Getting hurt didn't seem in the least bit fun, and Paulina wanted to avoid the hospital wing for as long as she could. |
Post 1 - On the hunt.No sash. Quote:
He waved,"Hello, umm...if you don't mind...is it okay if I go with you? Its fine if you don't want to...I can just go hide,"he smiled.Partners? They would get more coverage of the area to make the search easier right? Also, he needed a recap of the game rules again. |
Post 2 - found by Norah (still one sash) Quote:
She decided to stay here for a while until she thought it safe enough to start hunting someone. Ava lurked around and see if there's someone who didn't cast the spell perfectly. But then the young lioness realized something's wrong on herself. WHAAAAAAAAAAAT????!!!! She was NOT invisible!! She remembered that she had cast the charm perfectly. Boo.... "YOU!!!" She shouted to... nobody. "Whoever you are, show me your face and let's face it like a real gentleman!" Or gentle-lady. Whatever. Pout. Pout. Pout Maybe she'd better to find someone after this and take a revenge! |
2 - 1 sash (concealed), searching/attempting to tag The longer Daxton stayed up here, the more confused he started to get. Darkest had definitely said this was a tagging game, and yet... Daxton could see very little tagging going on. Had he misunderstood the instructions? Privately, he thought that was likely; it was often that someone would say something to him and their words would make zero sense. But it was hardly his fault that people would say one thing and mean something else. He tried to work out if that was what had happened here. The hide-and-seek part was obvious, but it just looked as though everyone was doing the hiding and barely anyone was doing the seeking. Daxton considered the matter, thinking hard as he carefully paced along the wall of the stone ruin. He thought it must still be a tagging game, except that everyone was too focused on concealing themselves. That meant that he was even less likely to get tagged, as the seekers would be looking for invisible people, and the former were so few and far between that that the probability of one tagging Daxton was low. Not impossible, but low. Especially while his own sash was hidden. Suddenly, Daxton did not feel so apprehensive about the activity. Nobody was coming to tag him, and yet from here he had already watched no less than six students conceal themselves. That meant he had an opportunity. He still did not understand the point of the game, but Daxton found himself wanting to get one over on some of the other students, and have another go at being strategic. As soon as he noticed more people trying to tag others, he would beat a hasty retreat again. With this sudden new mindset, Daxton scanned the area. The mist was actually rather helpful; if you looked closely enough, you could see how it was disturbed, and the fact that there was mist in the first place meant that it was cold enough to see people's breath. Often, the disillusionment charm did not create perfect invisibility, and if you looked closely enough at the area that surrounded where a disillusioned person was hidden, it was a lot more still and dead than the strange 'rippling' air that meant someone was concealed. SPOILER!!: Zander Daxton had just hopped back down from the wall and was trying to decide which of those probable hiding places he would investigate further, when he noticed another series of sounds. Heavy footsteps, (gross) sounds of breathing, the sounds of clothes swishing against each other, all while moving about the activity area. Unmistakeable sounds of running. The runner was invisible, obviously, but it did not take a genius to work out exactly where they were. The sounds, the way they disturbed the forest floor and surrounding leaves by running by. In the end, Daxton knew exactly what to do, and he stepped up right to the edge of the wall in the ruins, in a way that he could peek around if he wanted to. He stopped, waited, listened, watched the environment, and then, when the disillusioned person was about to run past his hiding place, Daxton ducked his head back in and stuck his foot out in order to trip them up. This, no doubt, counted as 'tagging'. At least it did in his mind. It was still within the rules in his mind, too, as Dakest had only mentioned not using spells that may cause injury, and this was not a spell. Never mind the fact that Daxton seemed to have no concept of when he might potentially and accidentally hurt someone else. He just wanted the sash, and that was what they were supposed to be collecting, after all. |
post 2 sash 1 Quote:
As he lay on his stomach, using only his eyes to look around in fear of making any noise, the Gryffindor had not thought about that other people would think of using his observing / hiding place as well. He didn’t know who was near him, but there was noise coming from his left side. He carefully grabbed his wand, the leaves rustling a little bit as he did so but before he could use any spell he felt a strange sensation go through him. He unconsciously shivered. This was bad. He didn’t know where that came from nor had he heard anyone near him say an incantation. But still, he felt like he had been seen. Which could only mean that an older student was nearby capable of using non-verbal spells. Time to get away. He grabbed the leaves off the ground and threw them around him in the air as a sort of diversion and got up and tried to run away. Trying to get the feeling off of him as if there was a big marker pointing at him with the word *HERE* written on it. |
post 1 (hiding 1 sash) Angel had followed the rest of the class to the next activity, she had felt like hiding behind the Professor again but the look she had gotten from him the last time had made her decide to take part in the lesson and since she was hiding she could actually avoid a certain lion that she didn't want to be anywhere near at the moment. "Disillusio" Angel pointed the wand at her head as she thought about what she wanted to do and she looked down to see that she was completely invisible, well this spell was awesome and she hoped that she could actually find someone to take a sash from because she had a feeling that an invisible game of tag would be fun. |
Post 2; 1 sash, Coming for you Brooklyn SPOILER!!: Brooklyn Janelle was quickly getting tired of sitting still. Even though she had been safe so far, she felt like a sitting duck. Better to go on the ofensive, she thought. Now where would the other students be likely to hide? Would anyone else hide behind the ruins like she did? Janelle decided that that would be the first place that she would look. Taking care to be very, very, quiet, she slowly got up from her hiding place. Taking every step carfully, Janelle walked around the walls of the ruins, listening for any sound of life. She was trying ver hard not to give away her position in the process. Too bad Janelle could not perform nonverbal spells because that would be extremely helpful right about now. Walking like a ninja, she continued to circle around the walls hoping to get a clue of someone's presence. Then a thought struck her. Hiding near a wall might be an obvious choice, but what would be the most unlikely place to hide near a wall? With an invisible smile on her face, she crept up close to the wall near Professor Dakest. And then Janelle waited and listened. Would someone dare hide themselves close to the professor. Of course they would. Were her ears playing tricks on her or was someone besides the professor there? Taking out her wand, Janelle softly said, "Finite". She didn't want to give her position away if she hadn't guessed right. |
Post 3- One sash SPOILER!!: Yoongi! <3 Okay, so his Revealing Spell revealed nothing. Maybe he was pointing the wand in the wrong direction. Maybe no one was around here, who could tell with all these invisible students wandering around? Adi remained as still as he could possibly be (which was super duper difficult for him), as he tried to zone in on any give away sounds. Then... waaah! Leaves! Leaves were up in the air and blowing around in the wind! That was NOT nature, yo! Some of the leaves blew towards the Hufflepuff, catching in his hair but it was the sounds of pounding footsteps that got his attention. Ahhh! His first victim! We mean first target! Adi gave chase in the direction of the sound. "Finite!'' He had aimed in the direction of the footsteps and hopefully it was enough to reveal the student. |
Post 2 - 1 Sash So far so good. This hiding spot was turning out to be awesome but only for one thing. HIDING! It didn't appear that anyone was coming her way and if they were they were incredibly quiet. Sneaky bunch of people they all were. However even though she had yet to find anyone Hady choose not to leave the comfort of her spot. Remaining crouched down she quietly lowered herself onto her knees so at least she was more comfortable and not at complete risk of toppling over at any given moment. Shifting just a little to the left allowed her to lean her shoulder against one of the thin trees she was currently hidden between, several more trees were right behind her in a small group. From here she could see everything in front of her as well as the small stream just a foot of two off to her left. Covering her mouth with a small yawn she had to admit to herself that sometimes waiting was boring and tiring but for the moment she wasn't moving. Moving meant making noise and that would probably give her up. And so she waited. Waited silently for someone to come her way. |
Post 2 (1 sash) finding Ava & hiding SPOILER!!: Ava .....once her business in the shrubbery was over, the fifth year turned her wand on herself. "Disillusio!'" She cast the spell one more time to make sure she was REALLY all invisible. "DISILLUSIO!" Aaaaaaand break! Instead of hiding like Ava had, she took of running in the opposite direction, not holding back the funny faces as students whizzed past her field of vision. This was the life. |
Post 3 - 0 sash T__T and disillusioned again Quote:
The young lioness didn't want to give her sash. NOOOOOO WAAAAAAAY!!! Especially to Hufflepuff. Well, she didn't want to give it to ANYONE but but but... She found her and tagged her. Sigh, Dima had taught her to play fair and stuffs. So like it or not, she had to give it to Norah. Pout. Bye bye sash T__________T Okay, now Norah had taken her sash, she set up for revenge. GET MORE SASH, it would be better if she got it from Hufflepuff but other house was fine. She started disillusion herself again "Disillusio!" BAM! She went invisible again and wandered around. |
Post #1; 1 sash, hiding? It was no wonder that the first year was smiling as Dakest explained the activity: they were going to play GAMES! Sure, it was only hide and seek with these sashes but it was better than NOTHING at least. That was the way Phillip was seeing things as he took hold of one of the green sashes. GREEN for SLYTHER-- Everyone was getting started already? NO WAIT. WAIT FOR HIM!! Starting to get a bit more frantic, Phillip made a wild dash towards the nearest large pile of ruins. Nope, can't catch him, don't even TRY. Once he was near enough, the boy crouched down and started trying to disillusion himself. Practice HAD helped but that didn't mean that it was perfect just yet. Just LOOK at the way his fourth attempt made him only three-quarters disillusioned. HOW was he going to be sneaky if he still had the bottom half of his legs showing? HMMM? Maybe THIS should have been his Halloween costume: visible legs with an invisible body. "Disillusio!" Was that...... was he invisible? Really and truly? YES! The boy beamed and wiggled his fingers out in front of him. Or, at least, tried to but he couldn't SEE his fingers. Now he needed his first victim. |
Post #2- Hiding/ Picking on Kate (1 Sash) As Colt was hiding very stealthy, he was a genuis because he used to play man hunt with his cousins. He began to strategize and pick out great spots. As he had a clear view of the main concourse, he saw Kate was there. She was gonna be a perfect victim to creep up onto. He hoped he wouldn't get tagged but he was gonna keep his distance. He began to tip toed and tried not to step on the leaves. He grinned mischievously and crept up behind her and whispered in her ear.... "Boo!" It was worth it if he got caught but he wanted to scare her. He hoped not another person heard him. He ran away quickly from Kate incase she casted a spell. |
OOC: Heya again all! So sorry I am unable to do a proper post to respond. Life has my time today, so I won't be able to post for you properly until tonight. I do have a quick second, so I wanted to put down a quick reminder. The lesson will close in approximately 9-10 hours from now (around 10:30-11:30pm GMT-6). Continue to have fun and be your awesome selves until then ^_^ |
#2 (has the 1 sash FOR NOW lol has been properly tripped ok) SPOILER!!: Daxton Okay so maybe the running thing wasn't all that smart because he could definitely hear the crunch, crunch, crunching of the forrest beneath him. But hey, he wasn't good at hiding apparently so this was the best way to go about it. With movement. That way, he didn't have to worry about being discreet. He just had to dodge the spells. Easy enough, right? Wrong. Clearly. Because though he was planning on dodging everything, he didn't think of possible traps. Like the oldest one in the book. Tripping someone. Which just so happened to be the one thing that threw him off course. Or well, off his feet. Because he hadn't seen the foot sticking out in time to stop himself from running, and just as he noticed he was flying straight through the air to-- "OOOOF!!" Oh man. Talk about a rough landing. The Gryffindor not only went flying into the air, but he landed straight on his face managing to scrape his chin and get dirt basically EVERYWHERE. Including into his mouth. Blegh. Forget the sash business. He was eating dirt??? The Prefect spit out a huge chunk of the gross bit of ground he managed to get in his mouth, before making faces of ultimate disgust. Was his chin bleeding? ... Also whose foot was that? |
3 - 1 sash (for now?) Quote:
After waiting a moment or two, Daxton took a step closer towards where the spluttering individual was now lying on the ground. He still could not see them, but it was fairly obvious they were still there. Looking in their general direction, Daxton silently held his hand out for the sash, with no apparent concern for the mystery individual's welfare. He was a little curious, he had to admit, about who exactly he had just tagged. |
#3; 0 sashes we're visible now Quote:
And that's when he saw the hand reaching towards him. Oh, well that was the least the guy could do. Offer him some help of the ground. Yeah, Zander wasn't angry then. Obviously this person didn't mean for him to get hurt. Offering a hand. It was a peace thing, he was sure. So before he got up he cast a quick, "Finite," on his own spell, allowing his entire self to reappear, before reaching over to grab the individual's hand. "Thanks," he said finally getting back on his feet with the help of that extended hand mhm. Also, Merlin there were scrapes along his arms and legs too. Welp. You can't win 'em all. "I er... Owe you this, right?" he extended his sash over, clearly embarrassed that he had to give it up to a much... younger student. He sort of recognized this kid. He was the earmuff guy, right? |
4 - 2 sashes \o/ SPOILER!!: Zander Daxton was quickly growing impatient, stood there with a hand outstretched to an invisible person, looking like a total idiot, probably. He gave a huff, just as the boy on the ground became visible again. The Head Boy, Daxton quickly discovered, which was... interesting. One would have thought that the designated head prefect would have had a smarter plan for hiding than the one he had opted for. Of course, there was not much time to continue on this line of thinking, because not a moment later, he had grabbed Daxton's hand. Daxton froze, his eyes going wide as he stared at their hands, unable to do much else. It felt as though a thousand volts were going through his hand, like it was burning, and after a split second Daxton wrenched it away again. Once the panic had passed, anger quickly took over. When the sash was dangled in front of him, Daxton snatched it from the older boy and promptly responded with an almighty shove (not unlike the time when Char had grabbed his hand when they had first met, causing Daxton to send her right into the fountain), maybe even giving the Head Boy an accidental zap with his wand at the same time. He did not hang around to exchange pleasantries (or not-so-pleasantries), but turned on his heel, shoving the second sash down his shirt with the first as he went. Moments later, Daxton had scaled his way back to the top of his wall in the ruins, turned, and fixed the Head Boy with an unmistakeable glare. By his side, Daxton flexed and shook the hand that had been grabbed, trying to shake off the pseudo-pain that lingered. He had not even been hiding, and yet someone had still managed to inflict physical contact on him. This entire game was stupid. Daxton took both sashes out from his shirt and bunched them up in his hand. In his other hand, he gripped his pine wand tightly. Nobody else was getting near him. Nobody. |
Post 3 - 1 Sash This was getting tiring. Just sitting here that is. Hady hadn't moved nor made one sound the entire time she had been kneeling between these trees. From her spot Hady saw the Head Boy fall face first therefore getting a mouth full of dirt. She cringed inwardly knowing that couldn't have been very pleasant at all. How had he not seen the younger NOT hidden boy was beyond her really. With a small shake of her head she moved ever so slowly and quietly to sit down not. Her back resting against the tree as well as her head, one knee pulled to her chest and the other resting straight out with her shoe hitting the trunk of the tree across from her. At least now she was more comfortable. Sooner or later someone would come this way. Or so she hoped. |
post 2 - 1 sash [attempt at revealing!] Quote:
And now he faced the problem that he side-tracked earlier. How to find people when they were invisible. That was literally impossible. He did think of using his wand to spray water around and see if it'd bounce on any concealed body but that would backfire and make HIM visible for anyone. Not a smart idea at all he needed another one. But time was running out and he had only one available choice that was most likely to work eventually. The small Ravenclaw wandered around carefully making sure not to make any sounds or step on anything that would give away his location. Oh look trees! That could help. First he could sit there and watch everything and see if someone stepped on anything or made a sound while he was completely concealed. PERFECT plan! The first-year walked up there eagerly. And just as he was passing one of the trees to stand behind the other he bumped into something.. or someone!! Immediately Aldous extended his arm and grabbed whatever he could. Which was clothes. He paused for a moment before speaking, "I just tagged you... I think." Whoever this was. And what now? They should be disillusioning themselves right? That's what the professor said. Or was it the other way around. |
Post 2 - (1 sash) anyone? Angel was now hiding, she decided that she would hide for as long as she could but what would be better for her, would it be for her to just sit and wait and see what happens or would it be for her to just go for a walk, with everyone else hiding she thought that it would be fun to go for a walk. Angel decided to go for a walk around the lake to see if she could find anyone, she was walking around near a tree, reaching out but not finding anything of note, she continued to walk and walk, she knew it would give her away but she couldn't help it she started to sing a song. "Hi Ho Hi Ho , Its Off On A Walk We Go!! With a sash on my shoulder and my boot on my shoes, Hi Ho, Hi Ho, Hi Ho, Hi Ho." Angel couldn't help it the song was just in her head and before long it was coming out of her mouth. |
Post 4 - Handing over her sash (0 Sashes) SPOILER!!: Aldous Hady hadn't moved at all. At least until she was bumped into that is. Where in the world did this kid come from?! It was a kid or well someone younger then her. Frowning slightly she almost had to laugh. Whoever it was had tagged her due to luck it seemed. "Yeah, you got me," She replied reached out and attempting to grab the kids arm to steady him since he had grabbed her shirt. "Finite." She cast on herself cancelling the disillusioning charm so he'd see her. Sitting up a little she removed her sash and held it out to him. Or it sounded like a him anyways. Once he took the sash from her she'd be able to disillusion herself again and hide somewhere else. |
Post 3 (2 sashes)- attempted reveal of Phillip With Ava AND her own sashes bouncing with each stride, Norah ran and ran until she was completely out of breath and had to duck behind a tree to catch it again. Apparently she hadn't perfected the art of breathing quietly yet, but she hadn't exactly perfected the art of doing anything quietly, so it made sense. She bent over to pause with her hand resting on her knees, breathing in out in out until her heart rate felt a little less like a hoard of elephants playing tag. Once she'd recovered, she went right back to running again, this time going for a pile of ruins that was near where they'd begun. Nobody would EVER find her here, right? RIIIIIGHT? Norah stood as still as she could as she caught her breath all over again. She watched her surroundings closely, when all of a sudden there was a pair of visible legs with no body to speak of, AND a little voice saying dillusio! and THEN nothing at all. Still invisible, she pulled her wand out slowly and cast "Finite" in a soft whisper, aiming around where the legs had been. She cast one more time, aiming in the opposite direction, then slid her wand back into her invisible robes. She could get used to this life, uh huh. Except for the whispering part. That was getting old reeeallly fast. |
Post 3 - (1 sash, tagging Blaise) Quote:
So that ended that indecision. Dot touched the boy on the arm and hissed at him quietly under her breath. "Tag. Give me your sash and I'll let you hide with me. I'll even make you invisible." |
