The Office of Professor Glendower Once Professor Glendower welcomes you into her office, you are greeted with her own brand of chic and artsy decor. Fine art adorns the wall and shelves in the spacious room, giving her plenty of room for an impromptu tap dance if the mood should strike. Comfy couches and chairs in classic tones are just begging to be sat in by her guests. The desk, while stylish, is often cluttered with her papers in her organized chaos. But she claims to know where to find everything. |

"Thanks." The Slytherin said as she walked through the office door and looked around. Oooooh. "Your have a very nice office, professor." Polite, she was. But that was also the truth. |

"Why, thank you!" she beamed at Agatha upon hearing her compliment. "Some of the artwork was done by a friend of mine." She gestured towards the small sofa. "Won't you have a seat?" |
Quote:
The Slytherin nodded her head once. "You're welcome." Oh, a friend of hers? The information made Agatha take a better look at the pictures to see if professor Glendower's friend was a real good artist or if the pieces were just there because it had been her friend who gave her those. "Interesting." Was her final observation before she took a seat. "Thank you, professor." |

Now, about those dance lessons.. Nessa was rather excited that one of her students had such a strong interest that she was not only eager to dance herself, but was also willing to help others in that endeavor. Good.. good.. she wanted to get started soon and the professor nodded enthusiastically to this information. "Oh!" Her face lit up considerably. "Of course you're welcome to use my room next door.. I had it arranged so that a good part of it is much like a dance studio. There are ceiling to floor mirrors and even a ballet barre." She could check it out if she wanted to, but Nessa knew that it would be perfect for that sort of thing. |
Permission to skip into the Office given by MJ It was ridiculous how easy Aegis found it to sneak into Professor Glendower's office...seriously she had the door open Probably thought that no one would visit her now with the Swamp so Swampy around here? He had cleaned his tracks of swampy murk he left to get here so as to not raise suspicion too. He found her to be easily trusting over Winter Break, but this was RIDICULOUS! He hiked a bag up onto her desk and began shifting through it to find what he needed to get back at her for DATING HIS UNCLE!! AND MAKING HIM FORGET TO MOURN HIS MOM!! So he had easily convinced his GeeGee by New Years that he wanted to buy some of the Fireworks at Weasley's to put on a show for some friends on New Years Eve. He pulled out the lot of them from his bag and hid them around the perimeter of room. He tied long string on each of them and disillusioned them all. The Moment Professor Glendower walked into her office Aegis would light the fuse and wait for the surprised screams as the Prank fireworks light up around her. THAT'D TEACH HER!! He jumped into her windowsill and pulled the curtains closed...then he disillusioned himself and played the waiting game. |

See, this is exactly why Agatha had come to see professor Glendower. The woman understood. Ceiling to floor mirrors and ballet barre. What else did she need?? "I assume there is something to play music there too." And she was probably right, since the professor seemed to be quite aware of the necessary equipment for dance lessons. "I would be interested in using that room, professor." Much easier than that room up in the seventh floor that Agatha couldn't even find by herself. Silly Hogwarts and its crazy rooms that move places all the time. If only everything could happen down in the dungeons life would be a lot easier. The first floor was close enough. "I'm still not exactly sure when I'll start the lessons, because... um" Awkward. How could she put this in a way to not ruin her reputation? "I'm studying really hard for my OWLs and, even though I know I can do both, I don't want to lose focus." Agatha used a very casual tone as she lied. She wouldn't let anyone, not even a professor, know she was actually freaking out and not really studying for OWLs. She'd figure something out when the time |

She had spent much of the morning in her Wizarding Suite, making sure her supplies were stocked, and that everything was ready for Agatha and her little friends to begin their own creative endeavors. She still had things to talk over with Cassie and an idea to run by Leo, but she found the morning slipping by and before she knew it, it was time for lunch. It had been a late lunch, unfortunately, that she found herself eating alone, but her daydreaming thoughts kept her company enough, she supposed. Maybe she should just grab some of her notes and go find Cassie. She was in need of some girl talk too. Hm, odd.. had she left her office door ajar like that? Nessa quirked an eyebrow at the door as she walked in but didn't dwell much on it. Instead, she glanced at her fwooper on her perch who seemed awfully agitated. "Ophelia? Are you all right?" she asked, stepping a little closer to the bird. Perhaps she should take her up to Cassie's office too. It had been a while since she visited with her feline friends. Maybe the bird just needed out of the office. Quote:
"Oh.. Oh yes, of course," she nodded happily. "There is a piano there and also a player for recorded music if you needed that as well." Perhaps she had a musician friend who wanted to play music for the little dancers. She tried to think for a moment if any of her students were musically inclined, but she wasn't sure. It was too bad there wasn't some sort of club for the students she was sure would enjoy it, but maybe this was a good start. "Well, great!" she exclaimed with a clap of her hands. "Would you like to go over and see it?" But then she seemed unsure about the situation and Nessa tilted her head as she looked at her curiously. Oh yes, OWLs did take a significant amount of preparation and she nodded her understanding. "That is certainly understandable," she said with a reassuring smile. "I'm sure we could work out a schedule.. or if I can help with anything?" With the lessons in general or even with the History of Magic OWL. |

He let out a quiet sigh from behind the Window Curtains and peered around the room, he hadn't missed any other kind of wanted alarm had he? No, and he was good with covering his tracks. With a quiet "Incendio" he muttered under his breath Aegis lit the tip of this invisible fuse ad let go. He watched as they the light of the fuse moved down then split into multiple tinier lights that went to all the small fireworks he had hidden around Glendower's office. GAH wait she could see the lights moving around the office now! He couldn't Charms the flames to be invisible! Just the Fuses! It was too late. The first of the small fireworks went off!! Followed by the next, and another, and a few more!! There was small fireworks show going off in the History of Magic Professor's Office. All she had to do now was JUMP IN FEAR! HA-HA! |
Quote:
What.. was going on? As much as she liked a good fireworks show, she was more startled at the sudden appearance and her eyes darted around the room in confusion as she tried to make sense of it. Not to mention that this room was much to small for what was happening making it seem louder than it might have actually been. But the one really startled by the sudden noise and lights was the fwooper that resided in her office. As soon as the first explosion went off, the already agitated bird began flying erratically and frantically around the room, not caring what or who she might be flying into, she just wanted out of the room and away from the fireworks. Nessa hadn't noticed at first, her eyes still focused on the bursts of lights as her mind tried to quickly process what was going on. And the fwooper happened to have a silencing charm on her as she usually did, otherwise she was sure to have been making plenty of noise. But it was hard to miss the flying around the room and the History of Magic professor soon became aware of her distraught bird, just before she flew out of the open door. "Oh! Ophelia, wait!" Nessa's face fell a bit as she started after her. The poor bird, she knew she was already so sensitive as it was. The last thing she needed was an anxiety-filled bird on the loose in the castle. Or worse. |
Quote:
He was so pleased with the his work he did not see the fwooper fly at him.. it knocked him off balance and he fell down from the windowsill onto the floor. "UUGPH" OH HOPEFULLY PROFESSOR GLENDOWER HAD LEFT AFTER HER FWOOPER BEFOR SHE SAW HIS FALL |
Quote:
She started after the bird as it flew out the door and into the corridor, but stopped just short of leaving her office completely as she heard a noise coming from behind her. Or, more accurately, a voice. "Who's there?" she nearly demanded as she turned back around, brown eyes quickly searching one end of the room to the next. "Is someone there?" But she didn't immediately see anyone. Nessa stood in her doorway a moment, her forehead knotted with confusion as she thought a moment. Was the person who set up this display still in the room? She flicked her wand at the center of the room. "Homenum revelio." |
Quote:
Quick Aegis maybe you can still pull yourself out of this! "Nobody?" He also disguised his voice the best he could as he attempted to impersonate Kevin Hirase poorly It's a stupid attempt, but it was the first one to come to mind, and Aegis doesn't do second guesses. OH AND Technically No body was present as he was still disillusioned. |
Quote:
Nessa stood in the doorway with her hand on her hip, an eyebrow raised as she looked less than impressed at the area where the person shape had been revealed to her. While the show might have been impressive, clearly the person who had done it was trying to remain hidden to her. Not to mention the trauma inflicted on her poor bird. She was starting to grow uncharacteristically annoyed. "Well, Nobody," she began a tad firmly, though her voice still retained her normally pleasant tone. "I'm going to give you one chance to reveal yourself to me and explain just what is going on here." Otherwise she might have to take more serious action. But she was a reasonable person. She'd hear this Nobody out. |
Quote:
He hated giving up. Maybe he could concoct a Plan B up real fast. He stood up from the floor and pointed his wand at himself. "Finate". With that, Aegis went from Nobody, to Aegis Dane. "Ummm sorry about... Ophelia" Aegis mustered up as he started his second ditch effort to get out of Trouble. "She was so quiet, I hadn't factored into my Surprise I wanted to give you." He stuffed his wand back into his robe and kept both his hands in his pockets. He then put on a apologetic face, like he hadn't meant to try and scare his History of Magic Professor half-to-death. |
*the attempt to not double post yet continue* Cutty had stepped right up to the door. In their intention to seek out Gregoire swimming in the swamp he'd misdirected the conversation toward other things and had lost his opportunity. And also time, he thought. He saw the waiting area. Comfy and elegant-looking as before, but wanted to see if the Professor was even in her office. He stepped up to the door and pressed his ear against it. What if she wasn't in there? Or what if she were entertaining other students at the moment. |
Quote:
"Aegis?" The confusion was evident on her face as she looked at him for a moment, listening to the start of some sort of explanation. Right.. Ophelia. She frowned with concern as she thought about her poor, easily startled bird and she threw a glance towards the door nearly subconsciously at the sound of her name. Shaking her head a bit, Nessa turned back to Aegis. "Surprise..? I.. don't understand, what were you meaning to do exactly?" She did like a good fireworks show, but the confined space of her office was a very poor choice for a location. Something wasn't quite making sense here. "That really would have scared the life out of anyone all of a sudden like that.. but it was quite spectacular," she added with a small smile. It was a good attempt on his part, she thought, and she'd hate to discourage anyone's efforts. "I just wish you would have thought it through better. I think you'd better help me find Ophelia." It was his doing that sent her away in a frenzied state. He could take responsibility and help her out. Quote:
Getting up from her desk, she crossed the room and opened the door. A surprised, 'oh!' left her mouth as she suddenly came face to face with a student. "Cutty?" Well, that had been unexpected, but she gave him a bright smile all the same once she composed herself. "What brings you by today?" |
Quote:
"Professor Glendower." Cutty returned both the bright smile and the greeting. "I realized I'd never shared the thing I'd brought fer yer that time I'd waited outside yer office." For obvious reasons the boy recounted but with undisclosed annoyance more than regret. He'd caught himself, however and cast a gaze downward deciding not to mention Gregoire's name. It might distract from his overall purpose for being there. "Might I coom in?". |
Quote:
Of course it seemed that Cutty was thinking perhaps the very same thing for as her brown eyed gaze momentarily swept over him, she saw that he appeared to be in reverential thought. She didn't feel it necessary to say anything about it, unless the boy needed to talk about it and then she would certainly comply. But she was soon snapped out of her thoughts as he spoke again. "Oh, certainly.. come in.." She stepped aside to allow him entrance to her office. |
