If you know the password, or where the entrance is from the Secret Passage you can make your way through a portal in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room:

The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room tends to stay a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Scattered around the room are very comfy green bean bag chairs. Once you get in them you just might think you've been attacked by Devil's Snare as you find that the bean bags are almost impossible to get out of. With the common room being located under the lake, you can occasionally see mermaids, grindylows and the giant squid swim by when you look out the windows. A rug covers the floor in front of the fireplace that has a hunter green fire burning in it. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere, as house pride is one of Slytherin's strong qualities. It reminds students of what being a Slytherin means and allows them to share those feelings with others.

This is where Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with one another. There is a room straight ahead that students may use as a quiet place to study and ask prefects and high scoring students questions. To the left, a corridor that leads to the Boys Dorms, and to the right a corridor that leads to the Girls Dorms. Beside each corridor is self inking quill and parchment with the words Attendo Thea Vipera on it. This is where you can leave a little information about yourself so your housemates can get to know you better.

On the side of the fireplace is a Notice Board for class and homework announcements, as well as general announcements. The Roster is also there for Students to make sure their name is listed and spelled correctly. Placed around the room there are four different Wizard Chess game boards. Find a partner and see who can keep their pieces from getting smashed by the opposing team.

A podium stands to the side with a copy of Hogwarts a History, which is where you will learn that even though the whole dungeon had once been flooded, nothing was waterlogged or permanently damaged.

First post!!! For anyone

Walking into the familiar common room, the finally healed fourth year, Gregoire looked around at the Snake Pit.

This was where he'd spend most of his years. In this room he'd make so many memories and recount on the old ones. It was in this room, last year, around this day too, that the Fairy Tale Book of Fairy Tales had made it's way into the Snake's den. In the Study Area was the location of where the dirty blonde read that infernal book. That book nearly destroyed all of Hogwarts, but...thankfully, they were able to destroy the book, and everything went back to normal. Thankfully there would be no more fairy tale characters...right? Please tell me that was the last of it...

Gregoire had a feeling that was semi-normal at Hogwarts.

this is for Ju xD

Bianca now realized why the final examination for the seventh year students was called NEWTs. It stands for Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Test and it seriously made her exhausted. The brunette girl just got back from the library where she preferred to study for her NEWTs. So many things to be studied and her brain was cramping now. Not to mention that she had so many homework and started writing essay for her university application. Oh my..

Entering the common room, the brunette girl just sat at the comfy couch there with a flask of hot chocolate that she'd made at the kitchen before going down to the dungeons. This place wasn't that crowded as usual, weird. She grabbed a latest copy of Witch weekly magazine from her bag. Though NEWTs are coming, it didn't mean that she had to miss the juicy gossips around the wizarding world, right?

That had been a very long day. Morgana...

Agatha entered the Slytherin Common Room ready to do nothing for the rest of the night. She wasn't going to bed yet because she wasn't that type of tired; she just wanted to rest her body for a bit, even though herm ind was still in full speed.

Maybe start planning her lessons and such. Yes, that sounded much better than doing homework. That was what she was going to do.

There was a girl sitting on her favourite sofa. Hm. Agatha stood there and stared at the girl before sighing and going to take a seat nearer the fireplace.

Flipping the witch weekly, Bianca was trying to find if there's an interesting article in this magazine. Merlin, since when witch weekly became a boring crap like this? There's nothing interesting there besides the gossips about the minister candidates. Well, that's better. She sipped her hot chocolate and realized that there was a younger Slytherin stood and stared at her. She didn't look friendly, wait.. the population of friendly Slytherins were as rare as seer population. The brunette girl couldn't help but just ignore that girl.

Weird girl She thought.

Why in the world that girl was staring at her? Was she jealous of her beauty or something?

Oh, Agatha saw the look the girl gave her, alright. Oh yeah, it was an imperceptible look, but Agatha SAW it, okay. She did. And it wasn't just in her head either.

Whatever.

The room was dark enough for her to ignore the other girl completely, so she'd do just that. Agatha chose a place nearer the fireplace for many reasons that weren't really important mentioning right now, but as soon as she sat down... the sofa wasn't as comfortable as she recalled. And it was BREATHING too.

"WHAT?" She yelped, jumping up at once and looking at what what she had just used as a cushion instead of the comfy couch. "What are you DOING here, you lazy elf???" Those creatures weren't supposed to leave the kitchens, WERE they???? She turned to the girl she was ignoring. "Did YOU bring this here??"

RandomRaven 01-23-2015 12:47 PM

Bianca then threw away the witch weekly. Maybe she should stopped subscribing this magazine since there's nothing interesting in it. Muggle magazines were much better than this. Sipping back her hot chocolate, the older Slytherin then realized that the younger girl yelping. What now? She couldn't help but rolled her brown eyes.

There was an elf, sleeping on the couch.

SERIOUSLY?

Did she bring that creature? Huh? Why in the world she had to accuse her like that? Elves could come in from nowhere. "I did not." The brunette girl answered shortly. Speaking of, why did the elf take a nap here? Bianca then walked closer and noticed that yeah, there was a napping elf on that couch."Hey." She poked that creature with her wand. "Wake up, you're not supposed to be here."

SlytherinSistah 01-25-2015 05:17 AM

Good evening, Ladies! *feeling stupid tonight so wth*

You know that look that people sometimes get when they walk passed the fresh cheese at organic markets? Like you know they think it stank but they're also enjoying it a bit? Cutty had a look something like that. The boy had come a long way from his first year and had in this interim learned a thing or two about grooming. The hair was did!

His wand was out, of course. It was never not these days it seemed. And the sword like instrument cleared his path casually as he entered the common room. He fired his wand with an incantation, rather impatiently and turned up the green flames in the fire place. "Merlin's right...!" He stopped seeing the company at hand (Agatha and Bianca) to edit himself, the sneer previously there now replaced with dragon-manure-eating grin. "Cold in here a bit, don't yer think, ladies?" He asked approaching the couch from the back and in the now amped luminescence.

"Awww...T'sk...Awwwwwwww. Agatha, is he yers?" He said in what could've been mock adoration, the way someone who doesn't really like babies coos over a baby that he's been obligated to coo over.

Harron Peasley 01-25-2015 03:48 PM

Anyone?

The eleven year old dragged his heels from the dorm, hands drawn up into the sleeves of the top that was far too big for him, and flopped into a chair near one of the Common Room windows. Outside he could see no creatures, just plants and seaweed and a murky green sheen, and so he turned away and slumped backwards in the chair.

Dalton had homework he should have been doing, but staring at the bag by his feet was as close as he was getting to starting it.

"seess asks hims questions" hahahaha xD

Agatha was still frowning at the other girl (Bianca) when she said she hadn't brought the elf there. So it had come by itself!! Unnacceptable!!!! "You're not meant to be here, elf! Go back to the kitchen NOW!" Agatha barked an order just in time to turn around and see Cutty.

Who asked the stupidest question ever. "No, it's not mine." The ballerina rolled her eyes and turned to glare at the elf again. What was it even saying?? Couldn't it speak proper English? WHY not? "It is your home, but this place is not your bedroom!" Agatha gestured around them, making sure the silly creature understood she was talking about THEIR Common Room. "You're not meant to be here unless you're doing something for us. Cleaning or something, but NOT sleeping!" Was she CLEAR enough???

The little elf was up and though, Cutty normally preferred West's seat, he'd take the one pre-warmed by the elf's tiny body for at the moment, he was quite cold. "Thanks, Tippin!", ever advantageous, he seized the moment in Agatha's yelling to assume his place on the pre-warmed seat and pulled out a copy of what looked like notes. But not his own. He'd properly blackmailed someone into giving up his or her OWL notes so that he could pass this year.

Probably. Yes. Maybe. Probably.

Probably.

Agatha, Cutty and Tippin

Bianca still pointed her wand to the elf until it stood up and answered their question.

Hogwarts is Tippins home whats you here doing?

What a little bold creature. Yeah, Hogwarts was its home but... Weren't they supposed to stay at students common room? "But you cannot stay here. This is the house of Salazar Slytherin." She said with a pride. Yeah, they were sorted to this house and nobody could enter this place besides the Slytherin students and staffs. So.. no. House elf didn't belong here.

"Just.. go. Now. I gave you three choices. One, you leave here immediately. Two, I'm gonna call healer Murdoch or.. Three..." Her wand now was pointed to the elf's head. Normally she wouldn't do this but.. this was her last choice if the elf still didn't want to leave.

"I am gonna hex you." The brunette girl said it as she meant it.

Kolyander 01-26-2015 11:33 AM

Open for claiming :)

It was time to just take a small break. Sometimes a break was well deserved and today, right now was one of those times. With a small yawn that was covered by her hand Hady made her way into the snake pit. Dragging one of the beanbag chairs across the room she set it down near the large windows. Plopping herself down onto it she laid her head back and shut her eyes.

Maybe some quiet time alone or a nap would help the young girl clear her mind. Not that she figured it would do any good but sometimes just a little bit of relaxation did someone good. Even with the voices around her she kept silent not wanting to disturb anyone.

From behind the OWL notes, Cutty froze for a moment as he heard the threats Rush was dealing out. One in particular caught his interest. 'I am gonna hex you.'. Apart from their stringent obedience, there was a reason why people rarely employed spellwork toward their house-elves. They were magical creatures and as such, not all spells applied on them would be as effective as they were on other witches or wizards. Would he bother telling Bianca this?

Maybe. She had caught a photograph of the catfight of the year and he wouldn't mind seeing it, He also had a feeling that this was something of her modus operandi and between what he knew and what she caught on film there could've been a lot of money to be made. Nonetheless he kept his mouth shut. For all he knew she had a house elf herself and knew of at least one sort of hex that was effective, so he let her do her thing.

When he finally did move the notes from his face, Cutty noticed the small snake pushing a beanbag larger than herself over toward the waterfront glass of the common room. Perhaps, she was stressed out. He heard that people watched fish to relax sometimes. Agatha was going to be shouting soon, though. Hopefully that didn't interfere with the little snakettes sleeping.

Cutty didn't remember being that small as he went back to overlooking his notes.

Homework and notes still weren't coming out of his bag. Nope. Dalton continued to stare at it mindlessly, almost completely oblivious to the commotion around him.

Almost.

And he would have remained so if it hadn't been for the... thing that was now attached to his leg. The eleven year olds eyes bulged as he stared down at the creature. "What the actual..." Managing to snap his jaw shut before a torrent of words that no eleven year old should know came out, he shook his leg a little and turned his wide eyes to the older students. Not that he needed their help at all.

"Gerroff." Weird thing.

natethegreat 01-26-2015 08:24 PM

All of you

Just as Gregoire was about to fall asleep gently near the fireplace, he heard a commotion from behind him near the couches. Turning his head he noticed several people there, one being Agatha, and a house elf who was being yelled at...Seriously!? Did the other Snakes not know respect or something! Yeah the thing might have tried to fall asleep instead of doing it's job, but that no excuse to threaten hexing the poor being! The House Elves worked hard all year to take care of the students here, so they should be shown at least a bit of respect!

Swiftly getting up, Gregoire walked over to the group wand pulled out. Defensively, he stood in front of the house elf who, the first year, Dalton, had just shooed away. "Your going to have to hex me first then." Gregoire said, his French accent thick and strong, yet still assertive and protective. Wand pointed at the girl (Bianca), an icy cold blue glare at her as well. A grim smirk fell across his face. "If you do, I'm not afraid to hex you either. House Elves are beings too. They deserve to be treated with at least a bit of decent respect."

With his other hand, the Slytherin fourth year signaled for the house elf, Tippin? Yeah, it said it's name, and it was Tippin. To come to his side.

Studenties behaving badly towards elf. Toddles angries. Yes Toddles was.

SlytherinSistah 01-27-2015 07:08 AM

Cutty was enjoying his elf-warmed spot near the fire and looking over his ill-begotten notes when Gregoire did it.

An attempt at a wand whipping Bianca Rush.

He wasn't from Beauxbaton, was he? No petit prince from the French school would've displayed such defensive behaviour AT a witch no matter the severity of the offense she'd done. They were taught chivalry and on top of that, Cutty had met enough students from the school to understand that they were just too high post to dirty their hands that way. No. Bastion wasn't a Beauxbaton. But then, where was he from? And why had he let people think that he was. He found this interesting.

But what if Healer Murdoch had shown her face at that exact moment? To see Gregoire with his wand all in Bianca's face?

Hey! What if Professor Bellaire was?

Cutty drew down his notes again this time to fix his stare somewhere on Agatha Hapgood. Perhaps, in a subtle manner given all that was going on in the room. He had to muster a happy thought somehow.

Cutty raised his wand in the practiced fashion that Professor Culloden had taught him and uttered the spell, "Expecto Patronum!" The thinnest whisp of non-corporeal cloudiness dodged the situation in the common room completely as it exited. Or did it?

Then they were joined by another elf. The one and same that had had the encounter with Professor Bellaire the day of the opening feast. "Toodles." Cutty began with a warm smile, the happiness mustered for having casted a call for the protector still lingered like a veil over his countenance. "Why don'tchyer take Tippin somewhere safe and owtoff the dungeons? Professor Bellaire might be on her way." Cause he called the ladies there with the spell.

joining in just 'cause xD

The whole elf situation had hardly reached Brooklyn’s notice, the tiny redhead curled up in one of the chairs nearest the fire, her face half hidden by the familiar book with a crown on the cover that was usually up in her dorm room. She’d been bored, so out had the book come to entertain her with the adventures in Westeros and beyond. She hadn’t seen any reason to worry about the elf that had been sleeping on one of the other chairs when she’d gotten to the common room. It hadn’t been in the chair she’d wanted, so she hadn’t bothered it. Apparently, others had felt differently, yet she’d continued reading even as Agatha and the others had started yelling at the elf.

Who cared who brought the elf in there anyway? She didn’t blame it for choosing the best House at Hogwarts to hide out in, as long as it kept her room clean and was willing to do whatever else she needed. At least, whatever she couldn’t convince other students to do. Agatha had had a point there. Maybe the elf shouldn’t have been sleeping, but whatever. She’d been slightly curious if the other girl really would hex the creature, though. Just not enough to bother lowering the book, until the faintest wisp of light had flickered and disappeared toward the common room door and she’d finally let her blue eyes peer over the top of the book.

Oh, now there were two elves in the common room.

Kolyander 01-27-2015 01:28 PM

Taking notice to everyone :)

Sitting there on her beanbag seat Hady did her best to focus on the fish and whatever else she could see out the large window. However all the noise in the room was slightly distracting. It wasn't that though that got the youngun to turn in her seat and look around.

It was the voice of the little elfsies. Her friends. What was going on? Why were they here, was Tippins hurt? Frowning she focused her gaze on everyone in the room in turn. It seemed that Cutty possibly had things under control for the moment. At least that's what she hoped because messing with the elfsies wasn't a good move on anyone's part.

Staying on her knees she watched everything in silence fiddling with the locket around her neck.

RandomRaven 01-28-2015 10:04 AM

all of you!

Did she really want to hex the house elf? Maybe, if she really didn't have any other choice. Bianca was not a very reckless person though, she did offer that house elf three choices: leaving with peace, calling Murdoch or hexing it. And of course hexing was the last choice and she hoped that this elf.. Tippin was its name, wasn't it? didn't make her hex it. She still had a heart as a witch.

Then she noticed that there a younger French boy (Gregoire) pointed his wand to her. Wow, finally there's a superhero huh? Was she afraid of that boy? No. She was older and had more experience with duelling. Oh, come on. Don't exaggerate this little problem. Urgh.

And there was another elf.

"Could you please bring your friend outside, now? Seriously, I don't wanna make any trouble here." Bianca spoke to the other elf with an extra emphasize on please word. Hopefully this elf did understand English. "I'm not gonna do a harm to you, or your friend if you leave immediately."

Hey Ju 01-28-2015 07:05 PM

AAHHHH *runs in circles and tries to catch up*

Agatha only had time to react as Bianca whipped out her wand and menaced to hex the elf. Morgana, was the girl crazy? Even Agatha knew elf magic was powerful. Agatha would've never pointed her wand at an elf. She would've shoved the creature away, sure, but never point her wand at it. She wasn't crazy.

But then there was that French kid happening again. Agatha even ignored the fact Cutty had taken her spot because this particular fourth year was really irritating her. He always seemed to do that, didn't he? Wanting to be the little hero. 'Your going to have to hex me first then.' "Oh, please." Agatha rolled her eyes. "You're not a stupid Gryffindor, Gregoire, stop acting like one." The ballerina would've shover him away if he hadn't drawn out his own wand too. Oh, great. Now there was going to be a stupid duel in the middle of their Common Room! "Stop being ridiculous! It's just an el- two elves." She said when the second creature appeared out of nowhere.

"Why are you two here???" Agatha asked angrily once again. They still hadn't answered her. ANSWER HER!!!!!!

Then Cutty was casting some silver thing and then... said professor Bellaire should be on her way there. The fifth year looked at him and considered what he was saying. Now that would be brilliant. Agatha just thought Cutty should've kept his mouth shut about their professor's imminent arrival. She was sure those two idiots would put their wands away before the woman got there.

Eh, so much for a good show.

First post in soo many years, might as well fall straight in hehe (excuse the lamness)

Tristans stomach flipped with nerves as he made his way from his Dorm. It was his first day after transferring to Hogwarts and he really wasn't looking forward to being classed as the new kids again, a trait he was all to used too with his fathers job involving a lot of moving around. This time would be different though, he had decided that within moments of waking this morning so holding his head up high he entered the common room.....and promptly tripped over his own feet and landed flat on his face.

Well done Trist, well done.

Kolyander 01-30-2015 11:24 AM

For the newcomer Tristan :D

Watching the commotion before her Hady sighed deeply. She'd thought sitting here in the common room watching the water through the large windows would help her relax and possibly even get some sleep. Clearly she'd been wrong. It might be helpful to go somewhere else...like the library.

Getting to her feet the second year gave a small wave as a "bye" to whomever was around and paying attention to her. It was then that she noticed the transfer student. Uh...what was his name again? Tristan something or another right? Deciding to make her way over to him and say hi she brushed nothingness from her pants and headed towards him.

Just as the boy fell on his face?! Whoa that seriously wasn't good. Frowning slightly stopped near him and held a hand out to help him up. "Hey, you alright?" Hady asked the other boy curiously. Getting hurt on his first day wouldn't be good.

kleanne 01-30-2015 03:58 PM

For Hady :)

Feeling the heat rise through his face as it turned bright red, Tristan reached out for the girls hand "Er yeah all good" he rubbed his nose a little before adding "Unless it is possible to actually die from embarrassment?"

Brushing himself off Trist gave a small smile "Let me try this again, Hi! I'm Tristan" he gave a playful wave while inwardly cursing himself Great first impression dude...

Hady helped the boy to his feet patting her grip on his hand loosen once he was stable, her hand dropping to her side. At spotting his reddened face she gave a small smile. He was probably embarrassed. As if falling wasn't bad enough she, a girl had helped him up. "Uh maybe it is though I've never seen it happen." She replied with a small shrug.

He was trying to hard and she tried not to laugh. "Nice to meet you Tristan, I'm Hady. Introductions done the small girl looked him over. "So what do you think of Hogwarts?"

Hady shifted her attention from the new boy she'd been talking to in order to glance about the common room. It had gone was being really loud and crazy to rather quiet now. Actually the quietness around the room was a bit off-putting and making the young girl nervous.

Slowly she focused her attention back on the boy. He was alright wasn't he? He was on his feet and talking so it couldn't be all that bad now.

Dante had his potion ready and was just looking to see who would be a perfect candidate for his awesome potion. It had to be someone he knew because really who would randomly accept to drink a random potion. Well never-mind he could think of one person. But he is not in school right now.

He flopped onto a couch and people watched.

It was one of his talents.

Find someone who'd take the potion for him? Easier said than done, man. Why? Because he had to THINK about who would trust him enough to take this potion but when most of the school's population didn't like you, giving them a potion was kinda hard and all.

So, he came here. Because one of the greatest satisfactions out there was making someone you didn't like do something that they didn't want to do. MAN, was that a good feeling. And his victim?

Agatha I'm-Think-I'm-Better-Than-You-When-I'm-Not Lockwood.

The boy glanced around the common room, looking for that freaking loony, when his eyes landed on............. Dante? Little Dante. Would HE do anything Grayson made him do? Dude was kinda sneaky and all and it was hard to tell whether he'd get away with this or if he'd end up feeling bad about it all.

"Yo Dante!" he called, heading over there and flopping down on a couch opposite the dude's, "You want a drink? Just got some seriously great blend of juice here." Because he wasn't about to give the kid something illegal. No. He had morals, thank you very much.

For Kita & Erock

He was carrying a tray of what looked and smelled an awful lot like hot chocolate. And maybe it was. Sweets biz 'n all. But how likely was it that Cutty Mordaunt was to do anything usual?

He made his way into their snake den from the dungeon corridor and secret entrance and set down the cupped concoctions on the small table immediately in front of Barrington and Whitlock. "Perfect! It's yew two. And yer don't look busy." Although, truthfully if both Dante and Grayson had been studying for Transfig, whilst swallowing swords and crying, Cutty wouldn't said the same thing. "I'm testing out bevvies for me sweets selling operation. I need yer honest opinions on soomthin' I've whipped oop in the kitchens."

He helped himself to a seat near the other two he-snakes.

Well either Dante was lucky that people came to him or he was now in for something he could not even imagine. He hoped it was the first one. First it was Grayson showing up. Stay cool, Dante. It was The Grayson Whitlock. He got a hey and a smile as he sat down. Perfect. "Blend of Juice..Huh..I will try it if you try this awesome potion."

He should because it was awesome.

And more to drink? Well this was suspicious. Though Cutty did sell some good sweets. So maybe it was only right he was making drinks now.

"Hmm.......sure"

What was the worst that could happen....Dante did not really want to know the answer to that.

A smirk ha spread itself across Grayson's face before he even got a chance to see who had appeared out of nowhere. There really was no mistaking that accent, of course. "'Sup, Cutty." He had comments about what the younger Slytherin had just said but Dante was here. Couldn't mess up the dude's innocent mind after all.

Juice for whatever potion Dante had? Shrug. "Yeah, alright then," he said, pulling out his flask and sliiiiiiiiiiiiding it over, "What makes the potion so awesome?" It was a potion after all. His area of expertise. Kinda.

Bevvies? Sweet selling operation? Jeez, how was it that Cutty was making a lot of money already? "Didn't know you were good at making beverages, Mordaunt. Will you try some of my juice if I try some of those drinks you've got?"

Wait, where'd that juice come from? Wasn't it Whitty's juice?

Sneaky, sneaky Whitty.

But, Dante was game soooo....

"Yay!" Clap. "Yer a good man, Barrington! Helpin' me out like." Even if he didn't feel like dancing when they'd approached him that day. The fateful, fateful day.

Whitty was wearing his smirk. The one that meant thoughts of ill-begotten nature were happening and consequently, events of likesame could follow. And nod of how'dyer-do followed Whitty's greeting.

"Ohhhhh, are we taking potions?" He said, skooting his seat closer to Dante and Whitty and leaning in. "Yeh. Well, I'm new to it, booht I've got soom practice in. It's based off of the holiday chocolate frogs they sell in Hogsmeade. Shame it only lasts for the season. So I thought, 'Cutty yer brilliant and handsome wizard! Why not make the flavour available all year long?!'. And lo! The holiday chocolate frog drink idea was born." That was half the story at least. "Yeah. Gimme yer juice, Whitty." Oh, dear.

They were taking potions! And Dante was offering some awesomeness to Grayson Whitlock. Cutty plopped onto the seat almost sitting on Grayson's lap. "I want some! If it's awesome I want some!" His arms reached out as if blocking Grayson from Dante's potion. "Don't let 'im have any. If it's awesome I want it all!" He joshed, mocking his own greed, which he didn't think he had but which he knew people had to think he had.

Dante smirked. Well the obvious answer was it made you more awesome. But Dante had a even better answer than that. "It will make you feel invincible" Dante explained nodding. And he was just about to fill a glass up for Grayson when Cutty wanted some? Well, not like he would say no. But Dante guessed he just wanted some before Grayson for some reason.

Who knows. Shrug

Though did Cutty just want it all to himself? Dante could not tell if he was joking or not.

HOLY FREAKING MERLIN!

Grayson's eyes widened as he heard Cutty's explanation on the brief history of his business. "Dude! Duuuuuuuuuuude! That is freaking BRILLIANT! What a way to make some extra cash, man." Grayson definitely approved. "You could start that up properly when you're done with Hogwarts and all. Bet it'd sell TONS out there."

Oh. MAN! LOLOLOL! The comment? Oh Cutty Mordaunt. His mind was going to all kindsa places at this rate and it didn't help that the guy was practically sitting on his lap. He had a strong urge to reply with a comment that would make a house elf faint but........ Dante. Dude was kinda young and needed his innocence to be preserved. Nothing like that should be said so........ smirking was happening.

LOL. There you go.

PSH. Let Cutty have all of a potion that made you feel invincible? YEAH RIGHT. "Just goes to show that your potion's popular, Dante," he said, right before taking up some of the potion, "Thanks, man! Let's test this bad boy out."

And with that, he held up the glass and said, "Cheers!" And............ DOWN it went. The taste? "Sweet. That's really sweet." He approved.

And you know what else he approved of. How GOOD he felt. It was as if he'd had a cup of hot chocolate on a really cold day and MAN did he feel good. Good about HIMSELF, thank you very much. Cutty watched as Grayson downed his portion of Barrington's flavour of invincibility, then took the last bit for himself. "Yeah!" He said roughly. "I know I will!" > : D

Cutty threw back the potion and down it went. He noted the flavour. It was, as Whitty described a bit on the sweeter side. VERY on the sweeter side if he were to compare it to other potions, which tended to taste like someone invented a bouillon cube for urine and sweat and then dropped it in hot water for the most part.

Cutty listened to Grayson as he casually mentioned his universal greatness. But decided to keep on with the conversation about his great and brilliant idea. "Of course yew are, Whitty. Wow they both actually drank his potion. Now things will get interesting. But on that note. Dante had a potion to drink also. He took Grayson's drink thing and drank it. Hmm not bad for a blend of juice. Whatever that is. Though he could not really describe what it tasted liked. Just that it was not bad.

But he felt great. Better than great. Incredible.

"You both should have a dance off on that table to prove how great you both are?"

As much as you try to forget somethings you can. Though why not make some amusement from it. Well it all depended on if they would listen to a second year.

Still it would be funny to watch.

It was with a heavy heart that Healer Murdoch walked into the Slytherin Common Room this evening. As much as she hated having to make this announcement, it was something that had to be done. Her students needed to know what was going on.

Standing just inside the Common Room entrance she didn't waste any time with what she had to say. She didn't even look behind her to see if Professor Bellaire was there or not.

"Attention Students!

I'm sure you are all wondering why the school has been placed on immediate lock-down this evening. I'm here to inform you that one of your very own housemates, Gregoire Bastion has lost his life due to an unfortunate incident in the FORBIDDEN FOREST. Until further notice, students are only allowed outside of the common room to go to classes and to eat meals in the Great Hall. Absolutely no one will be allowed out on the grounds at this time. Anyone caught sneaking around where they should not be WILL face dire consequences."
Taking a deep breath she looked around the room. "For those of you that want to talk to someone about this, I will be in my office all day tomorrow. Please feel free to stop by."

Not waiting for questions or comments from the students, she turned and left the common room. There were just so many things she needed to do right now.

So. Many. Things.

As Healer Murdoch left the common room, Cilla clapped her hands to her mouth as tears fell down her cheeks. She hadn't known Gregoire too well, only seeing him briefly. She felt conflicted about her emotions. She had heard that the forest was out of bounds to students for whatever reason so she felt some anger at Gregoire's stupidity. However, she was saddened at the death of a fellow Slytherin. These conflicting emotions were doing her head in. She will probably need to talk to someone.

Somebody died?

Bianca was just about to go outside while Murdoch was giving that announcement. She wanted to go to the library spending her entire days to prepare her NEWTs. She could not help but gasped when she heard about Gregoire--yeah she knew that guy since he was about to hex her if she was dared enough to hex the house elf. That guy was kinda reckless and stupid and now he died. Murdoch didn't tell them why in the world that guy was gone too soon but the brunette could guess he died because of his stupidity. Wandering around the forbidden forest, huh?

"It's so sad that a Slytherin student died. Sad, but stupid." She said to the younger student next to her and exhaled. Wait, was she crying? The brunette girl then offered her kleenex--a muggle tissue paper. "Do you really know him well?" Bianca curiously asked.

Cilla wiped her eyes as she shook her head. "No, I didn't know him. I guess I am more frustrated at his stupidity. I am saddened that a fellow Slytherin has died..." Cilla sighed. "My emotions are very conflicting right now."

As Healer Murdoch entered the common room Hady straightened up in her seat, setting her book down on her lap. Someone from their house had been killed...in the Forbidden Forest. Their House! That was what she caught first. Then the name slowly made it's way to her brain and the young girl froze.

Gregoire Bastion. Gregoire.

She knew him. Not incredibly well as he wasn't like her best friend or anything but she knew him. He had helped her on the moving staircases when it had gone all bonkers like... or well she had ended up helping him. Hady had gave him tissues and a clothe when he bashed his finger making it bleed and offered to bring him to the healer. Then together they had helped Professor Airey as well that day. They'd even gained house points for their spellwork when they slowed the staircases down...

The second year dropped her gaze to her lap letting her hair fall around her face. She wasn't sure how she was feeling but she knew one thing for sure. Hady wouldn't cry...Slytherin's didn't cry. So she sat there in numbed silence wondering if maybe she could find a certain little lion to talk to...

For Ju and her Agatha <3

He didn't feel like going to the library tonight. Making that trek seemed too much of an effort for him so the boy decided to sit down and do his homework in the common room. It felt weird being back here after being gone from Hogwarts for such a long time. It felt the same but at the same time- it didn't. It was a strange sensation indeed. He had caught up with most of his friends; however, he hadn't seen Agatha yet. So many things had happened and she'd probably forgotten his feelings for her.... Perhaps she was dating someone now.

Simon took a seat on the sofa with textbook tucked gently under his arm. Right, it was time to start working on his pre-reading for Ancient Runes. He opened the textbook, turning to the chapter that they had left off and began reading.

Agatha stomped into the Common Room, eyes red and slightly puffy, typical frown much deeper than normal. She chewed the inside of her cheek and tossed her hair nervously to the side as if it were some sort of twitch.

The fifth year's vision was probably blury, and since she couldn't see anyone in the Common Room, she took the opportunity to violently throw the Transfiguration book she was holding across the room, almost into the fireplace. She just didn't aim for it because that way there would be no way in the WORLD she could make it through her OWLs.

But honestly, so WHAT? There was no way she would make it through them anyway.

FLYING BOOK INCOMING!!! DANGER. DANGER. DANGER. SOUND THE ALARM!!

The boy saw the book coming from his periphery vision and quickly ducked to avoid it. When he heard the book make a loud thud against the floor, Simon looked up to find that the book had almost landed very nearly in the fireplace. Merlin's Beard! That's not how to treat a book. This person could have set the book on fire.

He turned to find the almost-book-murder had been Miss Agatha Hapagood herself. He was about to start smiling when he realized how puffy and red her eyes were. Had.. Had she been crying? Merlin. What was wrong? He stood up, picking the book off of the floor and gently placed it on the nearest table. There. Now the book was safe and hopefully out of anyone else's reach for now.

Turning now to face Agatha, he bit his lip. How could he help her? He had no clue but he would try nevertheless to comfort her. He approached her and then hugged her tightly. "Agatha... Everything's going to be okay..." he said. A few seconds later, he realized what he had been doing. Taking a couple steps away from her, he turned a slight pink. "Sorry about that... What's wrong?"

Agatha was going to take her time before plucking up the courage to pick up the book she had just thrown and go to her dormroom. She didn't even have time to consider anything, though, when she suddenly saw a figure getting up from one of the couches and going to get her book from the floor.

No need to say she was startled, because she could swear there was no one else there, and her eyes widened when she noticed who exactly the person was.

And he was coming to- and he hugged her. Agatha was still in shock and just stood there with the most ridiculously surprised expression on her face. It wasn't until he apologised that she realised how stupid she might look, so she cleared her throat and blinked a few times to try and regain composure.

"Wha-" Staaaaaaaaaaare. "What are you doing here???"

And she didn't slap, hit, or punch him when he hugged her. She hadn't reacted. Well, something must have been very wrong, thought Simon at first. Or perhaps there was nothing wrong at all. Perhaps she was just glad to see him.... He let her have a moment to compose herself just in case any of their other housemates should come in to see her in such a distraught state. He had a feeling that Agatha wouldn't like it at all if Ethan or Grayson saw her crying. Simon was off in his own world for a bit, worrying about Agatha. A couple seconds later, he realized that she was staring at him.

Huh? Had she said something?

He replayed the moment in his mind.

What are you doing here?

Well that was a rather excellent question... I'm just at my school, he thought with a smirk. No, no, that was too... That wasn't the right thing to say to someone who was emotionally compromised at this moment. Simon bit his tongue in order to fight back a sarcastic comment. It was really hard not to say it, but he was Agatha's friend. Friends didn't do that to each other when they knew they weren't or seemed to be alright. Besides, he didn't think that Agatha would appreciate it that much. "I'm finally home... Did you miss me?" he said as his smile grew slightly larger on the word home. Oh how he had missed this place, Ethan, Zander, Grayson, Bianca, his other mates.... And her. He had missed her so much. "Anyway... What made you fling your book across the room?"

So he seemed as surprised as her now, which was strange. HE had come up to her and hugged her, WHY was he so surprised now? Agatha kept staring at Simon until he decided to answer her.

Actually, she just kept staring as he asked her if she missed him. Truth be told, she had. Dealing with the stupid boys in her house by herself wasn't an easy job - not that she dealt with them that often, since she just ignored them most of the time. She had missed him, but that did not mean she would let him know that.

So a neutral expression was all he got for that one.

His next question, though, made her frown make its way back into its rightful place. "Transfiguration is what made me fling my book across the room. That, and STUPID OWL'S!" The last words were emphasised not only by her yelling, but also a very childish foot stomp.

And now the beautiful girl that he had a crush on for at least two years just stared at him when he asked whether or not she had missed him. Errr... :err: This was a great boost for his confidence. Simon paused, holding his breath. Well, her reaction could have been worse. It was better than being yelled at by her for leaving her all alone. He had expected that outcome too. A neutral expression was better than anything else. He'd take that and roll with it.

Soon she had a frown on her face again. Oh dear. He listened to her. Ah, OWLS were the problem. And then his friend stamped her foot on the ground in a very childish manner. She was acting like a little brat but there was something so adorable about her whole movement. He gave her a small reassuring smile. "Hey, it's going to be okay. You can do this. There's a lot of pressure on us this year, but we can do it," he said. She needed confidence in her ability to succeed. "In fact, I can help you with Transfiguration if you'd like... It's okay to ask for help. It doesn't mean that you're weak or a bad student. Heck, I think asking for help makes you a wiser student for you're using your resources sufficiently," he said.

"NOOOOOO, no no no, it's not, you don't UNDERSTAND." She exclaimed, her tone a mix of irritation and frustration as she kept moving about as a little child. It was NOT going to be okay, Simon, it wasn't!

And she COULDN'T do it. She could not. But she wasn't going to TELL him that and she hoped that her face wasn't speaking for her. Agatha tried to look angry - which she was a bit - but there was more frustration in her face than anything else and her eyes started to get watery again.

NO. URGH, STUPID THING, NO. She would NOT CRY IN FRONT OF ANYONE, GO AWAY.

Agatha immediately turned away from Simon and stomped her way angrily towards the table where her book now was, using that time to roughly wipe at her eyes and get rid of those stupid tears. No tears for Agatha Hapgood. NO. TEARS.

She was about to get her book, but she was SO angry at the subject that she had to refrain from throwing it across the room again. The ballerina huffed and finally looked back to Simon. "You can't help me. You wouldn't help me, why would anyone help me?" She asked angrily, narrowing her eyes at him.

Oh, she was aware, alright. Agatha knew not many people liked her, but did she care? No, she did not.

Besides, it wasn't like they could take her OWLs in her place, so what was the POINT??? Huff.

And the Agatha he knew finally showed her true colours. He watched as she began yelling and breathing fire all around the common room. Usually the boy would have taken a couple of steps back and quietly witnessed her temper tantrum but something was different today. Simon Holden wasn't going to do it anymore. She needed to be told something. Something very important. He opened his mouth and was about to say it, but chickened out. Agatha continued on her rampage around the common room.

Hell truly hath no fury like a woman scorned by classwork.

"Oh stop being a ridiculous baby and throwing a temper tantrum" he said rather harshly. Woah. That had come across way too harsh, but he didn't care. Perhaps this was the only way she'd listen. He gave this method a try.

"Why wouldn't someone help you? I'd help you because you're my friend. Despite you being moody and unpredictable and driving me crazy, I think you're pretty awesome. We're friends and friends help each other, okay? I don't care if others say you're mean, you're not mean to me or maybe I just ignore it because I see something in you. I see..." he said, raising his voice but speaking in a calm manner. He paused as he searched for the right word. "Ambition... A kindness that you're afraid to show to everyone but only to a few. Intelligence. Hope. Bravery. Persistent. Rigorous." And that was how he truly felt about Agatha Hapagood.

Truly.

He took a deep breath. He could only help her so much with her work and being a friend for she would have to do the rest. Simon knew Agatha was strong. If she didn't believe it, well he'd have to show her how beautiful she was on the inside out. "Now Agatha, I can help you but only if you're willing to try. Are you willing to try?"

As soon as Simon told her to stop being a ridiculous baby, Agatha looked at him with wide eyes. Pursing her lips, she wasn't very sure how to react to that. He sounded angry and authoritarian and that was actually effective to make her stop yelling. She was surprised, to say the least.

Maybe Simon was kind of like Zander.

But that thought was soon gone from her mind when the boy started to say how moody she was - which, by the way, made her frown - but then he went on and on about how awesome he thought she was and he even bothered to name some of her qualities.

The fifth year honestly had no clue how to react to that and just stood there with many different feelings boiling in her chest. She felt ridiculously confused and lost, and she HATED that. Why was he saying those thing?? Agatha wasn't kind... nor intelligent, nor brave!

The girl was still frowning, but not in an annoyed way anymore. She was frustrated and what was the point in bringing her angry shield up if Simon already knew she was weak? She shook her head pathetically and avoided his gaze as stupid tears came down her cheeks. "You can't help me. I can't help myself, I'm stupid, you don't understand. I can't learn, I'm stupid." The ballerina took several steps back and looked back at the fire.

She wondered if it'd be worth it to get rid of that Transfiguration book once and for all. Sigh. But that sadly wouldn't change her situation...

Ah. Brilliant. The yelling had finally ceased. Simon smiled a little bit, grateful that his harsh words had made her listened. He wasn't happy that he had to speak roughly towards her, but it apparently was the only method to get her to listen. He kept his blue piercing eyes on her for the whole time as he spoke, trying to get a read on her mood. From what he could see, she looked completely stressed out. Stress was never a good thing to have in one's life or so Simon believed. Things seemed to be good okay for Agatha had a frown on her face.

And then she turned away. Agatha Hapagood broke.

"Stupid?" he repeated, blinking his two blue eyes in awe. No, no, no. What was Agatha saying? She wasn't stupid. Sure, she wasn't the brightest in their class, but that didn't mean she was stupid. Merlin, Simon wondered where this girl's thoughts were coming from. "Agatha.. Agatha.." he said as he approached the fireplace to stand next to her. He hugged her.

"Don't you ever dare call yourself stupid. Just because you're not the best student in the class doesn't mean your stupid. It just takes a while for things to sink in or maybe you just have a different learning style. But you are definitely not stupid," he explained as he hugged her, hoping to try to comfort her as best as he could. He hated seeing her so distressed.

Agatha was too busy being frustrated and considering getting rid of her school material to even notice Simon coming to hug her. HUG her. She didn't step away, though she didn't hug him back either. The girl stood still and she reeeally wanted to believe what he was telling her.

But she didn't. "No. No, no, no, I don't have a different learning style." The fifteen year-old shook her head as she finally released herself from Simon's arms and started to take steps back again. "I can call myself that because I am! I can't learn and I'm going to fail all my OWLs! Then I'll be kicked out from this stupid school and then my mother is-" She suddenly stopped speaking and bit the inside of her cheek. Never mind that.

"I don't have a learning style, the only thing I can learn is... is ballet." She said almost as if it all made sense now and she blinked in surprise. "I can only learn ballet and that's what I should do!" Agatha finally looked at Simon in the eyes to share her ultimate discovery. "I'm going to leave this school and just learn ballet!"

And urgh, if only she had reached that conclusion before admiting to Simon she was stupid. URGH.

Well at least she had accepted his hug. He sighed, holding her in his arms. Something felt so natural about this and that unnerved him for some bizarre reason- he couldn't put his finger on it.

She truly believed she was stupid? That was truly saddening. He stayed silent and continued to listen to her. Now it was his turn to frown. With every statement that came out of her mouth, Simon kept frowning more and more. Biting his lip, he began to feel more upset. Agatha was going to leave the school? Forever? It took him a moment to really fully comprehend what she had said.

Merlin. He couldn't even fathom what Hogwarts would be like without Agatha. It'd be sadder and weirder. However, Simon couldn't stop her decision. He couldn't change it. If it was what Agatha truly wanted to do then he'd accept it. "Well...." he said and then paused. He was at a loss for words. He bit his lip and then looked at his feet.

"Well if you are truly passionate about ballet and that's what you want to do with your life, then who am I to stop you." He gave her a small smile. All Simon wanted was to see Agatha happy. "If it makes you happy, then I'm happy for you.... I'lll..." he paused, wondering if he truly could ever admit his feelings for her in words..

" I'll really miss you."
