Default Potions 2

The class is the same with the proper chairs with soft cushions to sit and lean back on, and they are still are charmed to take the most comfortable shape and height once a student is seated. The walls are still a soft, calming blue. There are one big, grey rubbish bin by the door and a white, porcelain washbasin with a tap for those who wants to wash their hands before/after the class and who can't perform 'Aguamenti' charm.

The door is open 15 minutes before the class time. Professor Culloden is sitting at his desk and greets every student who enter politely.

OOC: If you are going to RP your characer use the washbasin or the bin, you don't have to take Cosgrach's permission. Just assume he has granted it.

We have begun, so please don't post the character's late arrival. Instead, please act as if they have been here all along.

  • 3 glasses of 61-69 degree Celcius water
  • 3 green leaves (top quality)
  • 3 pinch of chopped parsley (prepare before starting)
  • 3 leeches
  • 3 cherry stalks
  1. Chop the parsley
  2. Heat the water until it's 61-69 degrees Celcius
  3. Put out the fire when the water is 61-69 degrees Celcius
  4. Steep the green leaves for 30 seconds and take them out (don't throw away yet)
  5. Light a low fire
  6. Once the colour is green, add the leeches
  7. Stir 3 times clockwise, 6 times counter clockwise and 9 times clockwise with a wooden stick
  8. Get the fire to maximum
  9. Steep the tea leaves for 20 seconds, then take them out
  10. Sprinkle all of the chopped parsley (Note: If all went right, the smell should make you feel very full)
  11. Steep the tea leaves for 10 seconds, then take them out
  12. Add the cherry stalks and wait until it's red
  13. Take out your wand and wave it once
  14. Trace the edge of the cauldron clockwise while saying "Amittere pondus"
  15. Wave your wand twice
  16. Trace the edge of the cauldron counter clockwise while saying 3 times "Gracilis"
  17. Wave your wand thrice
Notes:
  • The colour is green and it stinks like a rotten egg
  • Take while hungry (or else, you'll only throw up)
  • NEVER take more than a table spoon, and take that only once in every 3 months. Otherwise, it may be lethal.
  • One full table spoon makes you lose 20% of your initial weight (so that you can arrange that by taking less).
  • It will burn fat from everywhere of your body proportionally.
  • It will cause diarrhea 30 minutes after consumption (duration depends on how much weight you'll lose).

Ethan's hand caught Cosgrach's attention, and he turned to look at the boy. Ah, excellent question. He smiled.

"The colour changes are great indicators," he said, "and the... look of the potion. Of course, every potion looks different and it's impossible to memorise all, but... potion's masters understand if something is wrong."

He laughed briefly at AJ. "Good to know your potion is on track." Hehehe. He liked this potion.

Cosgrach approached to the girl's cauldron, and looked. He frowned, and didn't answer right away. "I'm not... sure which step was wonky," he said, "but carry on. It'll just be weaker, is all. Not harmful at all."

So far, there was only one mistake, and it wasn't even a proper one, and Cosgrach was thoroughly pleased with their effort (and his teaching ability, of course).

"Now, let's focus and get these VERY easy steps right," he said, "then we'll be nearly done." Were they excited? Hehehe.

"First, take out your wand and wave it over the potion once. Then, trace the edge of the cauldron clockwise while saying Amittere pondus once. Ah-mittereh pon-doos. Amittere pondus. Let's repeat it altogether." He paused to hear them say it, and to correct anyone who got it wrong. After he was pleased with their pronunciation, he went on. "Wave your wand twice. Again, trace the edge counter clockwise while saying Gracilis. Grah-ceelis. Gracilis. Please do not cast these spells unless you're sure with the pronunciation. Altogether now, Gracilis..."

Did anyone say it wrong, again???

OOC: Real life didn't let me post yesterday, sorry guys. <3 Hence, four steps at once. You'll get extra time though, so don't worry!

The potion was almost done, and Lux was pleased that she hadn't made any mistakes. But then she never made mistakes in this class. That was something rare, because it seemed that she was confused in most of her other subjects. Potions just made sense to her.

Recording the next four steps, she knew that it was important to have the pronunciation for the spells down perfectly before doing anything else. Under her breath she practiced both until she said them exactly the way Professor Culloden had. The first one had been harder than the second and fingers crossed she wouldn't botch it when it came to performing the spells.

Picking up her wand, she waved it once before tracing the edge of her cauldron with it in a clockwise direction. "Amittere pondus." Her wand was waved two more times then she traced the cauldron again, but in a counter-clockwise direction this time. "Gracilis. Gracilis. Gracilis."

There. That had been really easy. Smiling, Lux wondered how Kace was coming along with things.

Adrienne practically sighed with relief. Not that this potion had been particularly hard (as a matter of fact, some parts of it had actually been rather dull), but if she had to chop all of that parsley again she was going to pitch a fit. Working like house-elves was for, well, house-elves, not for those who were intelligent enough to have something to do better with their time than mincing herbs. "Okay, thanks," she replied, smiling at the professor.

SPOILER!!: Notes

Ingredients
  • 3 glasses of 61-69 degree Celcius water
  • 3 green leaves (top quality)
  • 3 pinch of chopped parsley (prepare before starting)
  • 3 leeches
  • 3 cherry stalks

Instructions
  1. Finely chop parsley
  2. Heat the water to 61-69 degrees Celcius, then put out the fire
  3. Steep the green leaves in the water for 30 seconds, then remove but save them for future use
  4. Light a low fire
  5. When the potion is green, add the leeches
  6. Using a wooden stick, stir 3 times clockwise, 6 times counterclockwise and then 9 times clockwise again
  7. Turn the fire up to maximum
  8. Sprinkle in all of the chopped parsley
  9. Steep the tea leaves again for 10 seconds, then take them out
  10. Add the cherry stalks and wait until the potion turns red
  11. Wave your wand over the potion once
  12. Trace the edge of the cauldron with it clockwise while saying Amittere pondus (Ah-mittereh pon-doos)
  13. Wave your wand over the potion twice
  14. Trace the edge again, counter clockwise, while saying Gracilis thrice (Grah-ceelis)

Scratching down what the teacher was saying with her slightly rumpled quill, Adrienne obediently repeated the spells with all of the others and then dug around in her bag until she found and pulled out her wand. So first she was supposed to just sort of... wave it? Nothing more specific than that? That is what the instructions said, after all. Somewhat awkwardly, she flicked her wand over the top of the potion, and then glanced back at her notes. Right. Tracing. Dragging the edge of her wand around the lip of the cauldron (and yes, she did still have to imagine a clock over it before she could figure out which way was clockwise), Adrienne pronounced the words she'd written carefully. "Amittere pondus."

That sounded pretty close to what Professor Culloden had said, if you asked her. Then she just had to wave her wand again- oh, and yet another time over the cauldron, feeling rather foolish just waving the thing around without actually casting any spells. She repeated the earlier action, only this time to the left, and quickly said, "Gracilis, gracilis, gracilis." There! Easy enough, right?

The green leaves went into the potion once more. Benny then counted out the ten seconds one by one and cautiously took them out again. Could they throw the soggy leaves out now that they were supposedly done with? He guessed they would have to wait as he added the cherry stalks before sitting back and watching for the potion to turn red.

Almost...almost...yes!

They were moving on...to very easy steps.

As in steps that could make you think higher of yourself and thus make stupid mistakes. Benny was just as cautious of these kind of steps as he was of the harder ones, not wanting to do anything wrong. And as Professor Culloden seemingly knew, the incantations could seriously mess things up. "Amittere...Ah-mittereh pon-doos...Amittere pondus," he repeated until he was echoing the man correctly. The same with the second incantation they would need in this set of steps. "Gracilis...Gracilis...Gracilis...Gracilis"

The incantations under his belt, it was time to proceed with the actual brewing steps. Ben slipped his wand out first and foremost and waved it once over his potion. He then let the tip of his wand trace the edge of the cauldron clockwise as directed while using the first incantation, "Amittere pondus." So far so good for him. Everything seemed to be going smoothly with no adverse reaction from his potion.

Wand waved twice over the cauldron now. Check and check. With a look to his notes to make sure of the last, Benny finished up the latest round. The fifth year tracing the edge of his cauldron once more, this time counterclockwise, as he pronounced the second incantation. "Gracilis."

Woah there. One second Norah had been day dreaming about lunch and suddenly there were four whole more steps on the board? She scrambled to write the new information down before straightening up and reciting the incantations along with the rest of the class. "Amiterre pondus. Ah-mittereh pon-doos. Amittere pondus" Yeah? Yeah. And the other one now. "Gracilis. Grah-ceelis. Gracilis." Cool beans. She squinted at the steps she'd written down, then picked up her wand.

The third year waved her wand over her cauldron, then traced the the edge of her cauldron in the clockwise direction while saying "Amittere pondus" just like she'd practiced. After waving her wand twice more, she traced the edge of the cauldron in the opposite direction from before while saying "Gracilis." TA DA! That was good, riiiiight?

As he saw his potion was still red, he smiled and was glad he caught up with the help of Lux of course. Now he heard the next set of directions and he got his wand out of his robes. He needed to wave it once and he did so over his cauldron. But wait he needed to say a spell? He couldn't hear it quite well but he saw him writing in on the board. He began to chant it so he could get the gist of it.

He began saying....

"Ah-mittereh pon-doos......Ah-mittereh pon-doos......Ah-mittereh pon-doos......Ah-mittereh pon-doos......Ah-mittereh pon-doos..."

He nodded and put it all together.

"Amittere pondus.....Amittere pondus.....Amittere pondus......Amittere pondus.......Amittere pondus.....Amittere pondus.....Amittere pondus"

He was gonna do one spell at a time. He began to wave his wand and traced the edge of his cauldron with his wand and said..."Amittere Pondus!" and then he thought he did well. Now onto his next spell. He saw Lux looking at him and he nodded. "I am doing well, I got the first spell down and now I am doing the second spell. How do you even say it?" he asked. "I can't see because of all the steam and plus Professor is blocking the board.." he said grinning sheepishly.

Sweet Merlin, a spell. Multiple spells. Okay. Okaaaay. As Culloden spoke and let them say it aloud, Sophie did so while writing down the spells phonetically. Ah-mit-ter-eh pon-doos. Grah-cee-lis. Then, once it was on the board, she wrote the correct spelling along with it. She rehearsed them in her head a few times, but did so quickly so she could get on with performing the next steps, and took a deep, cleansing breath before proceeding.

She could do this. It was no big deal. She was a pro. People believed in her, and she believed in herself.

She totally had this.

Waving her wand once over the potion, Sophie kept a careful eye on the cauldron's contents as she then traced the rim of the cauldron clockwise, "Amittere pondus." Then, her eyes briefly flickering up to the board to check her progress, she waved her wand twice. This time, her eyes flickered to her notes to check the pronunciation as she traced her wand along the rim of the cauldron in a counter-clockwise motion and spoke clearly, "Gracilis."

Ha. It was nothing.

Ahhh. TWO spells for one potion. Alrightey then. Adi listened to the first one carefully and pronounced it just as Culloden had. That one was kind of tricky. Heh. "Amittere pondus, Amittere pondus, Amittere pondus.'' That done, he proceeded to make the necessary notes about the spell before moving on to the next one. "Gracilis, Gracilis, Gracilis.'' Notes were made for spell number two also.

Now to the practical part!

The wand was waved once over the potion. "Amittere pondus!'' Adi said while tracing around the edge of the cauldron in a clockwise direction. Then for the next step, the wand was waved twice. This time, moving the wand around the cauldron's edge in a counter clockwise direction, the spell was cast. "Gracilis."

And just when he thought they were almost done… Of course there were four billion steps to go. Well okay, they only had four more steps at the moment. BUT STILL. All at once? And they were some of the more difficult ones too, well, in Zander’s opinion. Reaching for his wand, he pulled it out of it’s holster and glanced over at the board once more. Just… Y’know, checking.

…. Uh. Would waving the wand over the potion really do something? Especially if there wasn’t an incantation to go along with it yet? But… Culloden WAS the Potion’s Master here, so -uh- we’re trusting you Culloden. Yes, wand waving happened. But only once. Just like instructed. He was reading the board this time, see? Ah-mittereh what-us??

Um. It was a real good thing they were all repeating it together because that was a mouthful. “Ah-mittereh-pon-doos,” he struggled trying to get through the middle of it, but okay it wasn’t TOO bad. Amittere pondus. Amittere pondus. Amittere pondus. Okay. Got it. Slowly he traced around the edge of the cauldron (CLOCKWISE), whilst repeating the incantation yet again. “Amittere pondus,” how many times had he said it so far? Like twenty million probably. And now they were doing the waving thing again, which Zander was okay with actually because it was easy. Not once, but TWICE. And then another incantation? TWO? Woah there.

Tracing the edge COUNTER clockwise this time, because apparently this stuff was a huge deal or something, he repeated the other incantation. “Gracilis.” This one was MUCH easier to say, by the way.

… Were they done yet?

It was nice to see that Kace was doing well with the steps, and Lux was happy to help him out some more. The only thing he needed was the second spell which was at least easier than the first. That one was quite the mouthful.

"Sure thing! It's Gracilis." Speaking slowly, she tried to make it so he heard everything correctly. The right pronunciation was important.

Again, no cauldrons exploded or anything - on the contrary, ALL of them got the spells perfectly, and Cosgrach was SO proud of them. But... not all of them said 'Gracilis' thrice, did they? He wasn't sure who said and who didn't, so he quickly added: "I forgot to tell you: you say Gracilis 3 times. Don't worry, it's not a big deal - just make sure you say it three times before the next and last step, while holding your wand but without tracing the edge or something." So they only had to SAY it twice more while only holding their wand, if they hadn't already.

After everyone was done, he tapped his wand on the blackboard for the last time that day.

"Wave your wand thrice, and congratulations! All done." Now, let's not mess this EASY step up, and they were all getting a piece of chocolate - even Kace - for a great class.

"Please note: The colour is green and it stinks like a rotten egg," he said, reading the last notes out loud for them to hear AND understand better, "Take while hungry, otherwise it will just cause you to throw up. NEVER take more than a table spoon, and take that only once in every 3 months, otherwise, it may be lethal. One full table spoon makes you lose 20% of your initial weight, so you can arrange that by taking less. It will burn fat from everywhere of your body proportionally. Lastly... it will cause diarrhea 30 minutes after consumption - duration depends on how much weight you'll lose." What did they say to this last one, huh? He looked at them to see their reaction, then announced: "If you are done and have no other questions, leave me a sample and you can go."

Ah. So they needed to say 'Gracilis' thrice. Adi adjusted his notes then went on to say the spell two more times since he had said it once before. "Gracilis. Gracilis!'' There! The magic word was repeated while he just held his wand.

Annnnd finallllly, wave the wand one, two three times! DONE! Here's to another successfully brewed potion! Woot!

Also, yeah... the potion was green and man, did it stink! Heh. Wrinkling his nose, the Puffer tried to ignore the foul odor by listening to Culloden. The thing was, he didn't even like the sound of the effects of the darn potion. He decided it wasn't a potion he wanted to take. Nope.

Still scrunching up his nose, the Puffer scooped some of the potion into a vial labelled with his name, House and year. "Interesting potion this is, Professor,'' he commented as he placed his sample on the man's desk. When he returned to his workstation, he cleaned up, packed up his stuff annnnnd got all set to leave. But first, were the besties ready?

Whoa. Stop for one second to write down a few notes and there's like five more steps. Hady blinked several times rubbing at her eyes with the palm of her hand. She was ready... at least the Professor was going on the proper way to say these incantations. Saying them out loud was good though she repeated each one several more times before moving on.

Pulling out her wand the second year waved it once over her cauldron. Then she traced the edge of her cauldron with her wand as she spoke clearly, "Amittere pondus". One part done.

Hady glanced at the board quickly before continuing on. Wand still in hand she waved it twice of the cauldron. Now the wand tip was traced along the rim of her cauldron in a counter-clockwise motion while she recited "Gracilis". When she was finished she said recited "Gracilis. Gracilis" just holding her wand. There done. Right? Right?

Good and now moving on. What was next? Another quick look towards the board told her all that was left to do was wave her wand three more times of the cauldron which she then went ahead to do.

Checking on the potion Hady saw that is was indeed green and sadly for her she inhaled at the same time making herself cough at the horrible smell! Gross! Anyhow trying not to cough more she quickly spooned the potion into a labelled vial with her info on it. Setting that aside for a moment she quickly cleaned up her work station putting everything away.

Slinging her bag over her shoulder she brought the vial to the front and set it on the Professor's desk. "Nice lesson Professor" She replied smiling a bit and giving a wave as she exited the room. She was ready to go relax.

It was RED. HUZZAH.

Okay, so... magic now. Alrightalrightalright. Just a few moments to write down those instructions and practice the incantations along with the rest of the class, and READY.

Toby still had his wand to hand from all the levitating of ingredients and stuff, so it didn't take too long to wave it over the potion just once. Then, repeating Culloden's instructions over and over in his head, placed the tip of his wand to the edge of the cauldron and traced it alllll the way around the edge, clockwise.

"Amittere pondus."

Aaaaaaand then... a DOUBLE wand wave, before Toby traced the egde of the cauldron with his wand, this time in the opposite direction.

"Gracilis. Gracilis. Gracilis."

Aaaaaaand almost done. Just WAAAAAAAVING THE WAND three more times aaaand, hey presto! Uh... shame about the smell, though. In fact, Toby wondered if his potion had gone WRONG somewhere with the smell it was giving off, but no... apparently that was normal. Uh. Maybe he'd pass on testing this one. Maybe definitely, after hearing that last little note, too.

Toby hurriedly copied down the notes from the board and packed up his stuff. He labelled a flask of the potion and all but bounced to the front of the room to leave it on Culloden's desk.

"CoollessonthanksProfessor," he said one big rush of enthusiasm. "Haveaniceday, byeeeee."

Aaaaaaaaaaand, then he was off, WHOOSH. Gonna go grab his pogo stick and get rid of some energy.

Norah picked up her wand only a little sheepishly when it turned out she had to more things to say, but it hadn't messed anything up so it was all good, alright? "Gracilis. Gracilis." There. All better. She picked up her quill to record the last step and all the new notes Professor Culloden put up there. Diarrhea? Ewwwwww. The third year wrinkled her nose at the cauldron as she picked up her wand again and waved it one two three times. And then she wrinkled her nose some MORE 'cause it smelled capital G Gross. Capital everything GROSS. She inched away from her cauldron to retrieve a vial from her bag, which she cleaned with a quick "Scourgify!" and labelled with her name. Once a sample of her potion was all scooped in there, Norah set it on Professor Culloden's table and with her hand freed, pinched her nose the block out all the grossness as she packed up her things.

The Puffer paused by the professor's desk one more time before leaving the classroom. "Thanks for a cool lesson, professor!" And a STINKY one, but she didn't wanna make Professor Culloden feel bad or anything. But now, FOOOD.

After doing the first spell, he was going to attempt the second spell. He heard Lux saying it and it was gracilis? Hmm sounded like gracias in spanish. He chuckled and began to repeat it a bit to get into the mood of it.

"Gracilis....Gracilis....Gracilis....Gracilis....G racilis....Gracilis....Gracilis....Gracilis..."

Time to put this spell in action. He waved his wand twice and said the incantation, "GRACILIS....Gracilis...Gracilis.." he needed to say it three times while tracing his cauldron counterclockwise which he did! Now onto the next set of steps he saw the Professor but on the board. He didn't think they were too bad. Now he needed to say the spell three times? He shrugged and went along with it.

"Gracilis....Gracilis....Gracilis!" and then he was still holding his wand and waved his wand three times and then he noticed his potion was starting to smell. He scrunched his nose from the smell. Ergghhh gross!

The Last of Her Kind

Haha, Adrienne had already said it three times. Because she actually listened. She waved her wand distractedly a couple of times over her cauldron and, when she looked over the lip of it anxiously, she was surprised to find that... she'd done it correctly? What? It was a light green, and when she got a little bit closer, she found that yes, it did smell. Terrible. She recoiled from the cauldron, because wow that was disgusting. Definitely not something she ever wanted to put in her mouth.

And from what Culloden was saying, she wouldn't have liked the results anyway. Puking? Diarrhoea? It may be lethal? Adrienne felt like it was in her best interests to never ever touch the stuff. Losing weight could not be worth that.

Trying not to smell very much (or at all), she scooped some of the potion into a vial, stoppered it up, and then Vanished the rest, shoving all of her materials into her bag and then slinging it onto her back. She stopped by Culloden's desk on the way out, handing the professor her sample and giving him the standard "Thanks-Professor-have-a-nice-day" before leaving the classroom. Did she have time to stop down in the Great Hall before her next class? Disgusting as that potion had been, she could really use a snack...

SPOILER!!: Notes

Ingredients
  • 3 glasses of 61-69 degree Celcius water
  • 3 green leaves (top quality)
  • 3 pinch of chopped parsley (prepare before starting)
  • 3 leeches
  • 3 cherry stalks

Instructions
  1. Finely chop parsley
  2. Heat the water to 61-69 degrees Celcius, then put out the fire
  3. Steep the green leaves in the water for 30 seconds, then remove but save them for future use
  4. Light a low fire
  5. When the potion is green, add the leeches
  6. Using a wooden stick, stir 3 times clockwise, 6 times counterclockwise and then 9 times clockwise again
  7. Turn the fire up to maximum
  8. Sprinkle in all of the chopped parsley
  9. Steep the tea leaves again for 10 seconds, then take them out
  10. Add the cherry stalks and wait until the potion turns red
  11. Wave your wand over the potion once
  12. Trace the edge of the cauldron with it clockwise while saying Amittere pondus (Ah-mittereh pon-doos)
  13. Wave your wand over the potion twice
  14. Trace the edge again, counter clockwise, while saying Gracilis thrice (Grah-ceelis)
  15. Wave your wand over the potion thrice

The potion should be green and smell like rotten eggs. Only ever take while hungry (otherwise it will just induce vomiting.) NEVER take more than a table spoon, and take that at maximum once every 3 months. Overuse may be lethal. One full table spoon makes you lose 20% of your initial body weight. It will burn fat from everywhere on your body proportionally. It will cause diarrhoea 30 minutes after consumption (duration depends on how much weight you'll lose).

Three times? Oh whoops. He held out his wand, took another good look at the potion inside of his cauldron, and "Gracilis... Gracilis." There. Two plus one made three. See, even though he wasn't an Arithmancer-um-Arithmancogropher-um-Arithmanciologiest-um-Professor Tanner, he could deal with some numbers. Well, he could do it most of the time. And he was getting pretty okay at Arithmancy too. See young ones, cramming your Fifth Year for a whole five years worth of lessons isn't actually that hard. He was SO going to ace those OWLs. Or erm... O-them.

Anyways.

That was it then wasn't-- EUGH. The Gryffindor wasted no time taking steps back and plugging his nose. This stuff was NASTY. Forget food. Had the earlier stench of the potion not taken away his hunger, then this smell sure did. It was terrible. Horrible. Professor, WHY?

And uh... Diarrhea? Zander couldn't even help but stick out his tongue in disgust. Forget leaving a sample, he was going to leave the entire potion behind for Professor Culloden. Ain't nobody got time to try out foul potions that smell like rotten eggs. Especially not Zander Adair. If there was a practical aspect to the homework, he'd just have to pass this time. Ahem. Heh. No offense.

The Gryffindor wasted no time putting away his things, giving them a quick clean before putting it all away. And then he slipped out of the classroom with no more than a quick look over at his Professor. Potions put him in a weird place today. It was Kevin's favorite class.

Mod Babysitter | be curious, not judgmental

... "Gracilis, Gracilis," Sophie murmured to her cauldron with her wand still in hand, side-eyeing Culloden and clearing her throat casually as if she hadn't just thrown those last ones in there. She hadn't seen those on the board, okay? She was just listening to what he said. And she would take down anyone who tried to make her feel stupid.

Calmly waving her wand three times to finish out the potion, Sophie examined the surface of the concoction curiously, breathing only through her mouth as to not smell the rotten egg scent emitting from it. Twenty percent of their weight, though? That was... Merlin, this wasn't something she needed to be taking any time soon. She was already mostly skin and bone. It was a cool potion, though, to be fair, and would've been better if the taste and smell were less putrid. Still... this was the kind of potion that could change someone's life, so... still cool, yes.

Carefully flasking a phial of her potion, she corked the top and set to clean up her workstation thoroughly, noticing how Tobes was quick to leave - so there'd be no leaving with him, then - and... well. Merlin. Zander did the same.

Guess there was no hurry to leave, then. Soph took her time making some last notes, cleaning up her things, and would just wait for Dot, then.

And she still wanted food, too.

As the whole classroom was beginning to smell like rotten eggs. He noticed the professor wrote some information on the board. He saw it and some of the facts were disgusting. He scrunched his nose at the diarrhea part. Well he knew he wouldn't be taken this potion anytime soon. He scooped his potion in a new vial and brought it to the Professor's desk. He grinned sheepishly and said, "Sorry for messing up Professor but at least I have the potion here now.." he referred to his vial. "It was an awesome lesson though. Thanks.." he said being the polite puff he is.

He went back to his desk and cleaned up his supplies. This was a one interesting lesson but he felt exhausted. Maybe he would take a nap? Yup naps sounded good right now. He cleaned his work area with "Scourgify!" and even his cauldron. Once he was satisfied, he swung his bag over his shoulder and left the classroom. He gave Lux one last big hug before leaving.

It seemed that Kace was doing alright with practicing the spell, so after giving her friend a thumbs up, Lux wrote down the last step as well as the extra information. Even though she had no need to take the potion herself, it was important to know this stuff - especially since it could be FATAL on overdose.

That sorted, she picked her wand up again and waved it over the cauldron three times, completing the potion. UGH!! Professor Culloden hadn't been lying - it stank exactly like rotten eggs. O_O

Removing a vial from her kit, Lux cleaned it then placed some of the green potion inside before stoppering it. A label with her name, House, and year was attached and it was placed on the Professor's desk. Heading back to her work area, she cleaned everything so that it was spotless and took off her gloves and placed them in her bag.

Happily she returned Kace's hug before following him to the door. "Thanks for the lesson, Professor. Have a great day!" And with that she was off.
