Water Sports

The Fireworks Festival had begun and Jasmine had been assigned to man the Water Sports activities. She made her way down to the lake and took her place at her post. This was going to be very interesting. Jasmine just hoped that everyone would have a good time and there would be no drama. Jasmine walked around looking at the equipment and marveling at how warm it felt by the lake. They had really done a great job with the heating charms. All there was to do now was wait so she found a comfortable spot and waited. |
Cinna ^^ Lux had heard about the water skiing, and how could she NOT take part in it. She had never done this before and it sounded like an amazing opportunity and a lot of fun too. Making her way over to the lake, she couldn't spot her bestie, but she did see Jasmine. Smiling, she walked over to her friend. "Hey! How are you? Enjoying the event so far?" Hopefully manning this station would be fun for her. Where was Cinna? They were supposed to do this together. It wasn't breaking her promise to Bay not to swim in the lake if she was water skiing over it. Nothing bad would happen to her and she would never break a promise to him. |
SPOILER!!: Lux Jasmine was just busy finding ways to entertain herself when she saw a friend approaching. "Oh a customer", she thought to herself. "Hi Lux. What's up? I'm doing OK, but I haven't really had a chance to check out the festival. I've pretty much been here. I'm assigned to the water sports area." Lux appeared to be looking for someone. Bay perhaps? "Are you up for a little water skiing today?", Jasmine asked her friend. Jasmine hoped that everyone would enjoy themselves. Anyway, she would do her best to give them a good time. |

As she approached Lux she grinned. "Are you ready?" She was. This was right up her alley sports and water. Water sports. Yes. She was very excited. Her best friend was going to do it with her. They almost always done stuff together. Like getting their belly buttons pierced together last summer. That was so much fun. |
Mention of Lux, Cinna and Jasmine! Kace decided to go and try the water sports. He never had much experience trying water skiing but he did like water jet skis. He rode one before as he made his way to the lake, he noticed Lux Cinna and Jasmine were there. He smiled at the ladies and waved. "Hey girls didn't think I would see you down here.." He saw the life jackets and made a mental note to grab one. He had his swim trunks on underneath his sweatpants that he changed to for this event. "Have you guys water skied before? Because I am totally new to this.." he shrugged but he was curious to try it. He might fail but that was the fun of it. |
You three. ^_^ It was nice to hear that Jasmine was doing well even if she hadn't had much of an opportunity to wander around. "I want to try out the water skiing. There isn't much chance I'd fall into the water, is there? I promised Bay I'd never go swimming in the lake." She was not going to break that promise if she could help it. EEEP! Her bestie was here! Now they could get started water skiing together. This was going to be so much fun. "I am so ready! Are you?" Of course she already knew the answer because she knew Cinna so well; she was always up for anything no matter what it was. And now Kace had joined them as well. Awesome. More people were coming to try out the water games and the more the merrier. "Hey! I've never tried it either, but it does sound like a lot of fun. Are you going to ski with Emmy?" Lux hadn't seen her at all today and wondered if she would join them at the lake. Bay was busy watching over the rock climbing station, but she wished he could join them too. |
Anyone/Everyone Having recently escaped the castle through one of the windows, Rapunzel silently weaved through the crowd of people trying to remain inconspicuous. Perhaps the only unusual thing about her appearance would be the woman's now blonde hair which seemed to have tripled in length and, even though it was done up in elaborate braids, it still trailed along the ground. But she still did not want to get caught where she was not supposed to be even if the temptation had been too great. She wandered out to where she found a large lake. Was this the lake she had heard about? The one from where all the magical lights came that she could see from her window? Maybe that's why all the townspeople had gathered... today was the festival of lights, wasn't it? She was in luck to have left the castle on the very day to be able to witness the lights up close and Rapunzel walked up to the nearest local girl. "Pardon me, Miss," she began, glancing from the people towards the lake. "Is this where they'll be setting off the lights? Where are the rowboats?" She would probably have the best view that way, but perhaps she could sit on the shore among the townspeople. The boats already docked here looked strange.. and so did those oar-like things. They might take some getting used to. |
Angel decided that she might as well come and check out the prefect event to support her big bro Adi... well he wasn't her big bro but well things were going amazing and she loved her sister and she was going to help her big brother by seeing what was here even though she was a bit scared of the events. Angel saw something that said water sports. "So what is this water sport, that this sign is on about?" Angel had no idea and she thought she might as well ask everyone that was already there. |

SPOILER!!: Eden With a gasp, she suddenly spun around. Rapunzel was not permitted out of her tower much less out of the castle.. and what if she got caught? But it was simply one of the girls from the town here, she was sure, and she gave her a relieved smile. Though... what did she call her? But Rapunzel completely glossed over that once she heard the townsgirl's next words. "Fireworks?" she exclaimed with a glint in her eye. "So the fireworks are the lights that I have been seeing from my tower window? And they are happening tonight? What luck!" She grasped the girl's arms in her excitement and grinned happily. "Where is the best place to view these fireworks?" Who would know better than one of the locals? |
Everyone SPOILER!!: Kace Jasmine was happy to see more people coming to checkout the water sports. It was time to get the party started. Spotting Kace, Jasmine greeted him. "Hey Kace, ready to give water skiing a try? It will be lots of fun." When he said he'd never done it before, Jasmine smiled. "Well you've come to the right place and you are in for a treat. You can ski alone or partner up with another student." You'll be next after these ladies.", she said, pointing to Lux and Cinna. SPOILER!!: Lux Oh good, Lux wanted to try water skiing. Jasmine noticed that she was there with her navel piercing partner in crime and they looked ready for adventure. Something else to cross off the bucket list, Jasmine guessed. In response to Lux's question, Jasmine paused a moment. Well, there is a chance that you might fall into the water. You'll be wearing a life vest so you won't drown or anything. Absolutely no one was allowed to drown on Jasmine's watch. "If you want to give it a try, you ladies will be first. Go over there and grab a life vest. Then put it on and we can get started." SPOILER!!: Rapunzel? Jasmine looked up and did a double take. Was that Professor Glendower with ridiculously long braids? She wasn't sure why anything surprised her anymore. She was more likely to see a Professor gone crazy than one in their normal state. As the Professor spoke, Jasmine decided to play along. Hello there. The fireworks will be over there, around the lake a bit. We're having water skiing over here. You can take a ride around the lake. The rowboats aren't here. These boats move a little faster." All the while, Jasmine was trying not to stare at Professor Glendower. Was she supposed to be Rapunzel? SPOILER!!: Angel The traffic was really starting to pick up. They had better get things started because a line was starting to form. Jasmine noticed one of the triplets arrive and she approached her. "Hi there. Are you ready for a little water skiing? You can take a ride around the lake on water skis or you can have the boat pull you on that little floatie disk. The ride is a little easier that way, compared to the skis." As Jasmine waited for a response, she noticed her housemate arriving. SPOILER!!: Eden Jasmine gave Eden a wave and then headed over to her. "Hi Eden. Ready to take a ride? It should be fun. How about it?" Then Jasmine watched as Eden seemed shocked by Professor Glendower's appearance. Sadly Jasmine had figured that it was just a matter of time before all of the Pofessors were possessed. At least they came back to normal, eventually. In her second year at Hogwarts, Jasmine had kind of learned to just roll with things. |

SPOILER!!: Rapunzdower and Jasmine Eden just tilted her head at...Professor Glendower? and had to smile a little--because this was a NICE person, obviously. And Eden had released the idea that the teachers were pretending--she knew. They were POSSESSED. Because Professor Morgan would never be THAT mean to her students..like she had been in class. And now this...while Glendower was normally a nice person this...was different. Very different. SIGH. And then..she looked up.."Um..--from over there--wh--what's your name?" she wanted to know which character Glendower thought she was. Hmph. SHe pointed at the area that would be best to see the pretty lights--kind of near the lake, yes. Not too far from them. Jasmine was waving to her, and Eden had to smile and wave back. "Hi, Jasmine!" she said enthusiastically--and she glanced from Jasmine, to Glendower, and back to her prefect. "Yes! I am so ready--" and she kind of...shot her look like...HELLO WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? Because Eden was very confused. |
SPOILER!!: you two Cinna smiled as she approached her bestie. Hehe this was going to be so much fun. She was so excited. "Oh Yes." When was she ever not down for anything? She really liked this living on the edge stuff. It was fun. Her brown eyes looked around for a bit. There wasn't a lot of people around, why? This was the best part of the festival except for the fireworks show which that was going to be later way later because they were fireworks. Hey, look it's Kace. "Hey, Kace." She smiled as he joined them. Did he want to go water skiing too? Cool. Was Emmy coming? Fall off,she wasn't going to be falling off. She was way too athletic to fall off a pair of water skis. So Emmy wasn't coming then? Well that was okay too. Maybe they all could hang out at the blankets and watch the firworks together later. That would be fun too. "Come on what are you two waiting on?" She gave both Kace and Lux a excited grin before moving closer to the perfect who was in charge of the water sports thing. |
SPOILER!!: Jasmine and Eden But then she looked back at the very helpful and friendly girl (Eden) as she pointed out the very best spot! And her face lit up again. Of course this townsgirl would know the best spot, she probably came to see them every year. "Oh, thank you!" she exclaimed with a bright smile. "Are there blankets and things to sit on over there?" Perhaps if Rapunzel had thought ahead, she would have brought her own, but alas, she'd have to make do with what she had. How many opportunities would she have to see the lights up close and personal? "My name is Rapunzel.. what is your name?" How fun to make friends with the townfolk! |
Honestly Jasmine's response wasn't one that Lux wanted to hear because there WAS a chance she could fall into the water. It would be breaking her promise if she swam after falling in and she never wanted to do that. "Well, I will just have to not fall in then. And if I do, can someone pull me out immediately?" That best not happen, however. Kace's comment made her laugh. "I am sure you will do great." They all would do spectacular, she just knew it. Total shame that Emmy wouldn't come since they didn't see each other too often anymore, but there was always the fireworks. It would be shocking if Emmy missed those because fireworks were awesome. Beaming at Cinna, she eagerly went to grab a life jacket and put it on. Now she would be extra safe though there was no way she was going to let herself fall into the water. |

Cinna followed Lux over to the life jackets. If she absolutely hand to wear one she would. She grabbed one and walked back over with Lux to back to Kace and the line. Should she go ahead and strap it on her now or wait until she was ready to go in. Once she got back to him. "I'm doing really good Kace." She grinned at him. She had been doing really good lately. So her and Lux were going first before Kace. Awesome. Lux was going first. This was interesting. If Lux wanted to go first then she was all for it. "Lux are you sure you want to go first?" She asked sheepishly. Because Cinna could and would totally go first. |
SPOILER!!: RAPUNZEL Eden thought Glendower...whoever she was pretending to be, or possessed by, was probably Rapunzel because of the hair. And she certainly wasn't being mean...so it wasn't like she was someone evil...like Professor Morgan. She then pointed at the blanketed area--"Actually--yes--look--" she chuckled, showing her which way they were. "I was juuuuust over there--you don't even need your own blanket--" she said with a big smile up at her. Hmmm. This was..interesting. Yep. Eden's theories were confirmed. She INDEED thought she was Rapunzel. YEP. She nodded and pretended like nothing was amiss..."Oh--Eden--" she said softly. "Name's Eden." Your student that you don't remember...yep. |
Everyone.........My apologies to the real water skiers. SPOILER!!: Lux and Cinna Seeing that the girls had their life jackets, Jasmine made sure they both had them on properly. "You two can ride together. Follow me over to the boats.". Then Jasmine took a moment to explain what they would be doing. "I'm going to get you all set up here. You need to put on the skis and ease your feet into the water. I will hand you the tow rope and you hold onto it. Then I want you to tuck into a ball. Once the boat starts to move, you stand up slowly. While leaning back at the same time. Hold onto the rope tightly and the boat will pull you around for a nice ride.". Jasmine tried to get Lux and Cinna all squared away and ready to go. SPOILER!!: Kace Kace offered to be Jasmine's partner for the ride around the lake. "Oh Kace, I would love to ride with you, but I can't. I have to stay here and man the water rides. Prefect duty, sorry." Jasmine really was sorry. She would like nothing better than to take a spin around the lake, but duty called. "Would you like to ride with one of the other girls, or go solo? I can get you set up on the second boat. Make sure that you go and get a life vest though, before we start." Jasmine prepared the second boat for Kace. She would wait to hear what he wanted to do before giving him instructions. SPOILER!!: Angel So Angel was game for a little water skiing. "That's great. You can be in my third group. Do you want to ride alone or would you like to pair up with one of the others?" Pointing toward the life vests, Jasmine said, "You'll need to put on one of those before you can ride though. I know you're going to enjoy it." SPOILER!!: Eden Oh great, Jasmine had another willing customer. Eden was going to water ski too."Come on over. There are afew people ahead of you but it shouldn't take long for you to get your ride. Let me know whether you prefer to ride alone or with another student. I can take two at a time if you like." Jasmine decided that she would give instructions to everyone at the same time. That way she didn't have to repeat the instructions more than necessary. "Eden, be sure to put a life vest on before we start. No drowning allowed.". SPOILER!!: Rapunzel Professor Rapunzel seemed a little unsure about the whole water skiing concept, so Jasmine tried to explain. Those long things over there are water skis. You attach them to your feet and you hold onto a rope. The rope is attached to a boat and when it moves, it pulls you along and you glide on the skis. Basically you take a fast ride around the lake. Are you interested? Jasmine assumed that Rapunzel was more of the indoor type. She didn't think that water skiing looked like something she'd be into. |
Angel looked at the Prefect and smiled as she went over and put on a life vest. "Can I go with you?" Angel thought it would be amazing if she went with a prefect. "I thought that it would be cool if we could, but if we can't because your busy then that's okay." |
