Was Benny having luck with this activity? Was he actually seeing something? Adi eyed his bestie. Since when did he have the Inner Eye? The Dragon had been keeping secrets. The Hufflepuff peered shamelessly over to the parchment on which Benny was writing. The Snitch, huh? Go figure. Benny probably missed playing Quidditch a lot.

Just as that thought occurred to him, he heard AJ's voice. Adi looked around at her. "Speaking to me now?'' he whispered, half liking an idea to be all sulky at her. But she had a cookie for him. AJ and cookies. Nope, Adi couldn't be sulky. "Thanks.'' She got one of his smiles. "I'm going to wait for Benny to finish up.'' Maybe AJ wanted to do the same for Angel.

Even though he'd stopped attempting the scrying thing, Toby had zoned out again, staring at the crystal ball. Not crystal gazing, more like... crystal dazing.

Thankfully enough, he didn't really have enough time to accidentally See anything in it, because Professor Morgan was talking and finishing up the lesson. Toby had had questions he'd wanted to ask, but at this point was just looking forward to getting out of this classroom and going to get some proper food. He was still... not sure how he felt.

When the professor mentioned it, Toby reached for his parchment and quill and noted down what he saw(?):

That would do; the Hufflepuff was pretty sure he'd remember.

With that all done, Toby packed up his things ready to go. He flashed Soph a small smiled and headed over to where the cookies were before taking one.

"Thanks for the lesson, Professor. See y'later." Professor Morgan got a little wave, and then Toby was OUTTIE.

Well. He'd wait down the ladder for Soph.

Then they'd be OUTTIE.

feeheeheeny 09-15-2014 05:12 AM

Sophie sat still with her few notes on her parchment, her expression fairly bored until Morgan spoke up and seemed to be tuned into the fact that so many of them had failed. Her attempts at consoling them and making them feel better about it didn't work so much with Soph, but the woman's cheery demeanor in general at least made her feel just a little less like a failure. Morgan wasn't the kind of professor who'd be horribly disappointed with her, and that helped Sophie care a little less about not having had the best of luck today. She was on her feet and packing her things away as soon as they were dismissed, though, right behind Tobes, and this Ravenclaw might have taken two cookies.

She needed an extra one for her mental health today, okay?

Before shoving one in her mouth, Soph offered Morgan a "Thanks, professor," then followed Tobes out of the classroom.

If you are still working, please try to focus. The rest stay quiet until the end so others can keep working." Now where was Pips?

The sound of Professor Cassie's voice pulled him out of his thoughts, or non thoughts, or whatever it is he was doing... what was this about five minutes left? WHAT? WHHHAAATTT?!... But but but... they hadn't even gotten to discussing what they saw or HOW to take notes on these things when you aren't supposed to be taking notes.

What even was all this?!?!?!

There was little hope in him focusing for the last five minutes now that they were essentially almost being dismissed. So sooooon?!?!?! Was the lesson really already over?!

Once where nothing was all of the sudden Pips was in the room holding a nice try of cookies. He looked around for the nice Professor lady and when he found her he lifted the tray. Pips knew just where to put them. She had given very clear instruction.

"Pips come just as Professor Ma'am said, Pips brings cookies for studenties just like Professor Ma'am wanted."

Setting down the cookies he honked his nose twice before he was gone again and all that was left was the empty space and now a nice tray of chocolate chip cookies.

Pop

It was a good thing he didn't bother trying to focus again, because the distinct pop of the house elf caught his attention immediately, making him grin. HE HAD FOOOD!!!..............

Did all classes give out food?

You all totes did fantastic though." She snapped for them in the most enthusiastic way she could do at this point in her feeling failure state. "For the ones that have seen something please write it down so you don't forget. If you didn't, don't give up. Opening the mind is one of the hardest things to do. It takes practice to open the mind, more practice to stay in that connection state, and even more practice not to let your conscious state through."

Moving towards the front of the room she pointed near the cookies. "Now after a scrying you should always have a snack to fully ground yourself back into the conscious state. So please drink some more tea and Pips has been sweet enough to bring us freshly bakes Chocolate Chip Cookies. I do hope you have a wonderful rest of the day. I'll post homework soon."

Taking her own still warm cookie she took a bite and sat down in her chair. She felt like she might need a hug.

IT WAS OVER?!.........

Zeke listened quietly to instructions, and nod to show he understood. But really, he had no idea what he'd just done or was doing or how this all worked nor what purpose it served. Was there something in the textbook for this? Wait... WAS there a textbook? He hadn't looked at his books, it was highly possible that there was... whoops.

Either way, Zeke inked his quill and pulled his parchment toward him. Notes... notes... what did he SEEEEEE? Or better yet, what did he see that he didn't imagine? Ugh ugh ugh. In the end he wrote down whatever came to mind of the experience.

How much of that was legit, and how much of it was his brain being distracted he had no idea. All he could hope for really, was that they'd look at this more next lesson, because he had no idea what it meant. Or did it not mean anything at all??? SEE HE DIDN'T KNOW THESE THINGS!

After packing his things up, Zeke moved to exit the room, taking a cookie on his way out as instructed. Hehe. "Thanks Professor," he acknowledged on his way to the exit before pausing, "we uuhh... will be going over this some more later, right? I still don't quite get it." And he wanted to get it, or at least THINK that he got it. Answers to questions were just so satisfying, so he couldn't let this go.

Lottiepot 09-15-2014 09:22 AM

Thank goodness for that.

About 2 minutes after writing down her ever so uninteresting notes the Professor had declared the class dismissed. She was grateful, having spent the entire time staring at a ball of nothingness, although Eden seemed to like to protest that it was something 'special'. She shot the girl a look when she reassured her that it was 'okay' that she couldn't produce anything. "Ede, I don't even care if I produce somethin' or not" she told her glancing back at the Professor as she continued to sprout out about cookies and the elf.

The minute she stopped speaking, Layla got up from the cushion graceful and completely ignored the idea of cookies and tea. She didn't need them and therefore she wasn't going to eat them. Neither did she thank the Professor for the lesson. Instead she gave her a half-hearted smile that barely even touched her face before walking straight out the door.

Instead of heading towards the Common Room however, she headed straight down and out the staircase.

LittleRandom 09-15-2014 10:18 AM

Eat was something that Leonard could do. So he looked down at his parchment thinking for a moment if he should write down what he had seen. Just seeing her had made him miss his mother... shaking his head though he grabbed a pen and a piece of parchment.

Abby had finished writing down what she had seen on her parchment and then she helped herself to another cup of tea and some of the cookies before she decided to leave the classroom

Kolyander 09-15-2014 10:42 AM

As the music stopped playing there was a POP making Hady's head snap up. That must be Pip! Smiling when the Professor told them they could have a cookie as they left the room she began to pack away her things (she wrote what she saw in her last post). Getting to her feet she picked up her things and made her way to front of the classroom. "Thanks Professor" She told Professor Morgan as she took her cookie and made her way over to the ladder climbing down when it was her turn.

Ethan returned Beverly’s look with a nonchalant shrug. Still, the term just started so there was a long way to go before them Slytherins could relax and stuff. But for now, he won’t give Zahra, or anyone who manage to lose points for their House. He will give his Snakes the look if they lose points though. Although he’d have to leave Agatha to Beverly. He simply cannot fathom that girl’s attitude.

The prefect went back to his crystal ball, and saw it in a different way this time. The thing was magical, which would be the common denominator for him and the sphere. Ethan thought that it will respond to him if he will it by opening himself to the ball. It was a hard thing to do, but he found a few more ropes around this Scrying business with which his brain can hold on to. Ethan took a deep breath, and concentrated on Zelda, imagining a thin silver string come out of his chest, connecting to the surface of the crystal ball. Without warning, mist swirled inside the ball, but there was no clear picture of anything.

Ethan sighed, and the mist disappeared. At least, he was getting somewhere, no? But alas, time was up. He still needs to take a proper shower, and get ready for Astronomy next. Rubbing his eyes, then ruffling his own hair, Ethan stood up, stretched, and got his satchel. The boy reckoned that he needed to do a bit of jogging and stuff to get rid of the fog inside his head. The classroom literally was shouting sleep in his face at the moment. Without further ado, Ethan walked towards the woman and gave her a wave. “Thanks for the lesson and help, professor. See you next class.” With a slight bow, the Slytherin prefect made his way out of the room.

Breathe, Paloma.

Just breathe.

Julliard. You're in, why worry about that?
Family. Everything is fine, you just got news from mom and dad.

That's when she started to think about her pet, her cat, Vader. That little mischievious feline, bringing in cats from other students into my bed to have as his lair.

And that made her giggle. And maybe feel a little bit more relaxed.

.....

And class was ending. Cookies had arrived, brought by an elf, Sweet Pips. So cute! But no more scrying, which meant that she was sort of saved from having a migraine in future hours, but yet had to keep trying in case she really wanted to know a little...thing. Or maybe not. She took a deep breath, looked around and then got up, holding the table firmly just in case dizzy head came back. She walked to get a soft and very chewy cookie, then went back to get her school bag. "Thanks, Professor Morgan. Hope..." You feel better? She didn't look so good, but the urge to hug her had to go away, just to avoid tummy accidents. "Hope you have...a good rest of the day." She really meant it. With all her heart, and hoping that Professor Morgan would feel the *intended hug* Paloma wanted to give her.

Distracted the blonde was fully in her own mind being distracted. She heard the student and her eyes lifted towards her. "You too dear. Thank you for coming today." Taking a bite of the chocolate chip cookie she watched as the others gathered their things.

Eden was still sour about missing her little image--just PARCHMENT and RODDY and she had nothing else to GO on. Maybe she'd visit Professor Morgan later? Yeah? The woman was certainly nice--and she was soooo interested to know the rest of it and whatnot.

Side-glance at Layla. Who was being a grumpy gills----AS USUAL. But Eden was getting quite used to it. She siiiighed. "Layla--it isn't rubbish--" she whispered, not wanting the professor to hear and get her feelings all hurt. "It's just--it's like pixie dust! You have to believe! Right?" She assumed that Layla was familiar with Peter Pan, being raised a muggle and all--right? "Don't put it down juuuust yet--" she pleaded, biting her lip and siiiiighing more. "It's okay, Layla..don't feel bad." Eden was just trying to keep Layla CALM, okay?

SPOILER!!: CASSSSIE and PIP <3

Eden nodded and continued to rub her head. It had kind of subsided and whatnot--but maybe it had nothing to do with the crystalballing and everything to with her STRESS?

She nodded. "Yes, Professor---Oh, Professor Morgan?" she asked quickly, getting all red and shy and stuff--"Can I perhaps come see you at some point this week? To talk about this--crystal ball stuff?" she asked softly, smiling as she did so. She wanted to find out MORE! And she kind of felt like..she was okay at this subject? Like..she might want to continue taking it, yeah? Maybe she'd actually get a good grade in this class--for once--and she could show her grandparents that she wasn't a waste of space.

Her blue eyes drifted back over to Layla...hmm. She shut her notebook and waited for the professor to answer her...she was eyeing that elf and those cookies quiiiiite a bit. How CUTE was the elf? She gave the little one a wave and smiled.

"What's your name?" she asked, the house elf. Oh she HAD to go see them down in the kitchens! They were just SOOOO cute!

Hearing a question she turned her attention to another child, "Certainly everyone is always welcome to come to my office. I so enjoy company." Company was just wonderful and she loved having her students visit. The crystal ball stuff? She nodded, "I'm usually free and in my office. If I'm not in there just check the Room of Serenity." She liked spending time there as well.

The rest though.......she thought she had been dreaming, but when Professor Cassie talked about going in and out of a conscious state........could it have been real? Maybe she could talk about it with the Professor later, definitely not in class.

In the meantime, Jasmine wrote down what she saw/dreamed in her notebook. She would definitely have to try this crystal ball thing again. For now though, she got herself another cup of tea and a chocolate chip cookie. Once she had finished, Jasmine packed her things and stood up to leave. "Goodbye Professor Cassie", she said. Then she headed for the door, with more on her mind than ever.

"Have a wonderful day Jasmine. I hope to see you at this years SNAC meeting." She had something super fun, but again some what advance in store for them. Maybe now she should be rethinking it. Hmmmm.

The mist swirled quickly and changed into images. Letting the images pass by her eyes, she was searching for something that maybe her conscious mind couldn't figure out or find. Possibly about how to get through taking points off a student. That was just hard for her.
