Imbolused plant here for any Gryffs & Claw Quote:
Ravenclaw girls. Ravenclaw girls. Why was it always Ravenclaw girls? She as tiny, and her voice still sounded babyish when she had spoke the incantation. He thought it best not to laugh at her on the chance that she should get the gist of the spell and start using it against offenders. Besides, it would all be too contrary to the lessons instilled in him by the Headgirl, regarding new students and the lower classmen. Have not an enemy above nor beneath you. So he smiled and winked back. "Aquamenti." He gave the plant some watering after the sprinkling of dragon dung was done by the little Claw girl. It was really quite remarkable how no one had gotten hurt thus far. "Immobulus." He hit another shrub with the paralyzing magic. |

He got a nod as well and then Penelope continued carefully sprinkling the dragon dung around the plant and making sure she didn't step in it or on the places Grayson was pouring the water. How long? Hmm...good question, she had no idea. Or, well, SOME idea but nothing specific. Should she know this? Probably. Would this come up on her NEWTs?? Oh Merlin. "Um...I guess enough that the dirt around it is wet but not TOO wet. We don't want to over-water it or drown it or anything." Surely it wouldn't get that extreme since he didn't appear to be overdoing it with the water, but just in case. Bentley would not be pleased if that happened. And since he'd asked a question, she figured she could ask hers as well. "How much d'you think a light sprinkling is?" She'd sprinkled down a decent amount already, but was that enough? Should she add more? She couldn't decide. |
SlytherinSistahh! Compared to the dead rats and raw meat, dung was no big deal. Kate grabbed a scoop and scooped up some dung. Yum…was what she was sure the plants thought about this. It had a nice…full smell, she supposed. At least she didn't have to touch it, even with gloves. Holding her scoop of dung, Kate looked around. Now…where was an immobilized plant so she could fertilize a plant without getting eaten? Quote:
There! She grinned up at the boy. "Thanks, I didn't want to get eaten!" |
Jasmine and Ethan SPOILER!!: Jasmine "I'm right on it," Cris saluted before first walking to Jasmine's plant. Pointing his wand at the soil, he said,"Aguamenti," and watched as water streamed out from his wand. Taking great care to make sure that he didn't overwater the soil, he ended the spell, once the soil was sufficiently dampened. Kneeling down, he gently patted down the soil, to ensure that break up any air bubbles that might have been trapped in the soil. Satisfied that everything passed muster, he stood up to move on to watering Ethan's plant. ....and it was good thing he had moved on from Jasmine's, because the effects of the spell were beginning to wear off, and the plant began to move. Thanking his lucky stars, he raised his brow and rolled his eyes at Jasmine, before walking over to the plant, Ethan's geraniums and began watering the soil. Ending the spell when the soil was sufficiently damp. "On to the next. How about this one over here," Cris gestured to the Weigela bush. |

Following her lead he went to the plant she was talking about "sure, lead the way" so far this class was going fantastic, feeding plants meat and making sure they got water and dung. |
Quote:
After the plant had been immobilized, it was Bay's turn to do his job. "Okay, we are good to go!" |
Levitating a small chunk of meat toward another of the piranha plants, Beverly paused when professor Bentley spoke up. Feeding time was over? She was barely having fun watching these Resuming what was she was doing, Beverly levitated the piece of meat toward the plant and watched it gobble it down. Time for some immobilizing and watering. |

Dima shrunk a little, resisting the urge to hide behind Marcus Orion when the professor tried to reason with him. "I... I guess so, ma'am, but I just don't really want to be the one feeding them. Is that.... okay?" 'Cause everyone else was doing an EXCELLENT job! Yeah! Quote:
"Thanks," Dima whispered as he grabbed a scoop. Dragon dung sprinkling was a lot better than feeding animal bits to plants, yeah? Carefully shoveling out some of the stuff, he tailed after Kyroh to Toby's plant and shook his scoop just as the other kids were doing. Next time, could they work with plants that only ate... like... sunlight? |
Norah approached one of the smaller, less likely to decapitate her plants and removed her wand from her robes. The older students around her were using some spell she hadn't learned yet to send a stream of water into the soil. She observed another students movements shrewdly, memorizing the particularities, before turning to the fanged geranium of her interest. Hmm. She pointed her wand at the soil and said "Aguamenti," screwing up her eyes and thinking of every watery thing she could come up with. She opened her eyes to see a somewhat lame stream of water falling from her wand into the plant's soil. Oh hey! She had done it...ish. She moved away from the plant to commence her celebration at her success, 'cause why ruin a perfectly good I'm Not a Failure moment with a bite from a flower? |
SPOILER!!: AJ <3 It was Adi's turn to laugh out aloud. "That's perfect!'' he said and wondered why he had never head anyone describe the idiotic subject as that. But before he could say anything further, Bentley spoke up. Okay, Puffers for the watering! Got it! "Sounds good,'' Adi said with a nod as he retrieved his wand. So how about we start with this big guy here?'' He pointed to one that would definitely need immobilizing. "Immobulus!'' The plant froze. "I love sports!'' he continued as he waited for AJ to fertilize the roots. "Cricket, especially. What are you into?'' |
Quote:
After Lux gave him the go ahead he brought the bag closer to the bottom of the plant as he started to sprinkle the bottom. As soon as he thought the plant had enough he moved away from the plant and looked back over at Lux "all good" he waited for her to water the thing before they moved on to the next plant. they started to have a great system and they were just flying through the plants. |
Since the feeding bit seemed to be done with, Beverly carefully made her way toward the plants, but not too close. Plants were nice to look at, especially the dangerous ones, but not ones she'd play with. She'd take a dragon any day over plants. Odd Slytherin was odd. She eyed the plant a few ways away. Watering time, but first: "Immobulus!" There. No need to lose a limb unnecessarily. Realizing that there were younger students around, Beverly decided to leave that plant for one of the young ones to tend to. It was like what her great-great-great grandfather Bacchus III used to say: Give and you shall receive...or something like that. Beverly hoped her positive Karma points would one day build enough for a dragon. This better count as that. Making her way toward bigger shrubs, she cast on them: "Immobulus!" |

"Go for it!" he encouraged her, gesturing to the plant. The fertiliser was nearby and Toby kept the spell focused on this plant, so she had a prime opportunity for the little Herbologist. "Then someone can water it, and this plant will be good and taken care of." The Hufflepuff grinned. He was always willing to help out enthusiastic kids in Herbology. "Whenever you're ready, just start spreading, yeah?" SPOILER!!: Kyroh and Dima aka Ravendorables MOAR FIRST YEARS. And this time it was two of the littlest Ravenclaws that Tobias already knew. He gave the both of them a little smile when they came over. "Hey Kyroh. Hi Dima." It hadn't been difficult to pick up on the fact that the whole meat thing was tricky for Dima at the very last. Toby could understand that, but he didn't want to make a big deal out of it. "We won't always be dealing with Flesh-Eating plants," he informed the two boys, Dima in particular. "The other Greenhouses are all really interesting, and there's loads to learn in them." Toby paused for a minute, as the bush started to move around again. He recast the spell and it frove immediately. "Why don't you try watering this one. There should be watering cans somewhere around here if you don't know the Aguamenti or Aguamentispritz spell yet." Encouraging looks for these boys. Tobias wanted them to be just as enthusiastic about Herbology as he was. Toby pointed his wand at the base of the plant, keeping an eye out to make sure it didn't start moving again. "Aguamentispritz." A fine mist of water was conjured and immediately started to dampen the soil and fertiliser. |
Caleb was actually enjoying this plant feeding thing. He wasn't sure WHY exactly, but it was fun! "Immobulus!" he said, pointing at one of the really active plants nearby and watching as it slowed down, making it easy for one of the younger kids to feed it. BUT he had to water it before moving on. He pointed at the soil with his wand and muttered "Aguamenti!" he watered the soil before heading on to the next plant. |
Jasmine Looking down at the Weigela bush, Cris noticed that the bush was still moving actively. "Let me immobilize this bush, then you can add the fertilizer before I water it. If you want, you can take your turn immobilizing the next plant," Cris suggested to her as he proceeded to immobilize the flesh eating plant. Maintaining a safe distance away from the plant, Cris cast the Freezing spell as he flicked his wand twice at the Weigela and said,"Immobulus". As a blue beam of light streamed out of his wand and touched the plant, the Weigela stopped moving and remained very still. Leaning forward, he touched it gingerly with his wand to confirm that the spell had worked and when he didn't get any reaction from the plant, he turned to Jasmine. "Ready for dung administration. I'll follow up with the watering while you freeze your next plant of choice," Cris smiled at Jasmine as he stepped aside to let her work. |
SPOILER!!: Vinnie Daydreaming in class? Oh no. No no no. What if those fanged geraniums consumed her while daydreaming? Ethan deadpanned at her as the image formed inside his head. He shook his head to shake it off and gave her a warm smile. “Hey, no worries.” He used to not have any friends when he started out in Durmstrang, so he was more than willing to give a helping hand. Friends are good. Yup. “I have a dog! His name’s Momo. My cousin gave it to me as a present.” He missed his pet and cousin, by the way. “My dog’s a black French Bulldog…and he farts a lot.” Hahaha. “I don’t know why he’s so gaseous…” Ethan scrunched up his nose then laughed. “Well, you do feed your owl, yeah? Only they won’t eat your hand and such, but this is basically the same. The only difference is that you have to distance yourself from them.” He said as he gestured to the plants. “Hmm. Not really. Herbology isn’t my strongest subject…I’m more of a creatures guy.” Nod nod. “But yeah, plants need some tender loving care too, so I guess that’s what makes this task easy for me.” Maybe she just needs to expose herself more to plants and stuff. Or…maybe she’s not just wired to learn Herbology. Shrug. Ethan watched as the older Slytherin gave the task a shot. “As long as you feed the bush, there’s no need to rescue you…but yeah, I’ll save you when things go wrong.” Ethan gave her a thumbs up and a big grin. “It’s my pleasure to meet you, Vinnie!” --------- SPOILER!!: Jasmine, Cris and mentioning Vinnie Ethan turned his attention to the Ravenclaw this time. “Hi Jasmine! My name’s Ethan.” Waaaves for you because he just held a dead rat a few minutes ago with his gloved hand. “Okay.” The Slytherin tucked both of his hands behind him and eyed Vinnie. “Hey, Vinnie! Come and join us over here. You can help water the plants.” She can…cast Aguamenti, yes? Yes. Jasmine came back with an older boy. Oh heeeeeey. Yeah, he saw him before during the opening feast. You know, when he thought that the Hufflepuff bunch was his house mates? Confusing, that night was. Anyway. “Hi Cris! Yeah, sure no problem. We will be able to finish the task faster that way.” With older students and such behind him…this task will be easy peasy. SPOILER!!: Jasmine, Cris, Jasmine, Cris Weigela bush it is! Ethan bopped his head as he made his way towards the bush and pointed his wand at it dramatically. "Immobulus!" The Slytherin did a small dance as he waited for his team to sprinkle it with dung and water it. "All safe, you guys." Ethan smiled as he moved away from the spot and eyed the Lilies. Hmm. Interesting plant right there. Could they water that one next? Please? He's the youngest in the bunch you know... |
Willing to help any ickles who need it Mo finished feeding some of the bigger plants, watching with fascination (and perhaps not enough distance) how the Weigela removed the flesh from the rat. Well. That was horrifying and disgusting, but also very very cool. Circle of life, and Mo was going to have to make a point of talking to Dima about that at some point. He waited as the professor offered instructions, and then Mo grabbed up a bucket of dung and moved to the nearest bushes. They looked VERY much like they wanted to make a snack of him, didn't they? |
Immobilizing again for anyone wanting to quote Text Cut: PhoenixStar and TakemetotheBurrow It was only when the Gryffindor girl spoke that Sophie glanced up and noticed that Adi was standing there, too. "Oh, hey, Adi," she said. She felt guilty talking to him now. She'd been so busy at the start of the school year that she hadn't had time to meet up with him yet. She turned her focus back to the Gryffindor. "Magic stick?" she asked. Was she a Muggleborn or something? "...and thank you." Now she REALLY felt like one of the older kids, what with a younger kid saying she was good with a wand and all. The Gryffindor was sprinkling her dung on the plant, so Sophie turned to the Ravenclaw. "I'm Sophie," she told both girls, because identifying them only by their house was getting old. Once both girls were doing their part, Sophie turned her own wand on the plant. "Aguamenti!" she said. When the plant was good and watered, she turned her wand to another nearby plant that was still snapping away. "Immobulus!" she said. That plant, too, ceased to move. |
Cris, Ethan SPOILER!!: Cris SPOILER!!: Ethan Jasmine smiled at the boy and said, "It's nice to meet you Ethan." Then Ethan called one of his friends to come over and join the group. The Weigela bush has been tag team tamed by both Cris and Ethan, so Jasmine felt very comfortable getting close to it. She brought along her dragon dung and sprinkled it all around the bush, making sure not to miss any spots. Then she sprinkled some beneath the bush getting very close to the leaves. She trusted her partners to keep the plant at bay in the meantime. Turning to Cris, Jasmine said, "It's all yours to water". Ethan seemed excited to tackle the chokeberry bush next. Jasmine then addressed Ethan. "I will immobilize the bush and you water this one while Chris finishes watering the Weigela." Raising her wand, Jasmine pointed it at the chokeberry bush and said "Immobulus". Immediately the bush stopped moving. Jasmine looked at Ethan and gave him the go ahead sign to start watering the bush. Calling over to Cris, she said, "When you're done, maybe you can help Ethan finish up with the watering here." |
Quote:
"Awesome job, you too!" she said encouragingly while he fertilized. As soon as he was done, she did the watering. Another plant done now. "We are ready to move on!" YAAAAY! |
"Immobulus," Mo cast the charm on the closest plant, a particularly active sprout from the Chokeberry that obviously wanted a bite of him. Honestly, he wasn't interested in being lunch, and so Mo was clearing a little space for himself to work. The moment the plant stopped leaning in for a nibble, Mo hefted up his bucket of dung and got to work. Just a light sprinkle, that's what the professor had said, and Mo took that as literally as possible. He spread just a smattering of dung around the base of the plant before returning the bucket and stepping out of reach again. Who else needed fertilizing? |
Anyone need an immobilized plant? Gryffindors have dung duty? No thank you. But wait! The young boy had nearly forgotten, he was a THIRD YEAR THIS YEAR. Such a big boy. he didn't have to deal with dung. He could go straight to immobilizing. HA! Got off easy with this one then. The Gryffindor walked over to an active plant and smirked. You're going down Zander style, Mr. Plant. "Immobulus!" And the plant stopped it thrashing about. Ha. No dung for this kid. He'd just keep himself busy with immobilizing the rest of the plants. |
There was going to be another plant? Would it be more dangerous than these here? She was game. Pity they couldn't get right to it. Had to do that plant care thing. Feeding should have been enough. It was possibly the only epic part, unless you counted the fertilizing but even that became a little less epic after mention was made of the fact they were to immobilize them first. No missing limbs at the end of class was great and all but it was hardly eventful. The Gryffindor walked over to a shrub that had been freshly immobilized--less work for her yeah, and began adding the sprinkles of dung like the good Gryffindor she was. Were she a little more bored she might have finite-ed the plant and tried her luck again. Who knew, it might be fun. Looking around she couldn't REALLY see anyone in need of help and it was just as well. The Prefect wasn't feeling helpful, she was feeling experimental and that was a dangerous time for anyone under third year to be near her. It was for the best they kept their distance while she went on fertilizing. Was no one going to water this one? It certainly wasn't her job. |
She could deal with immobilizing, yeah. Marigold took her wand out and rolled up her sleeves, leaving her hands unobstructed. She really did not want to lose a hand or even finger in this. Or wand, for that matter. She had already broken one wand. Well, more like her cat broke it, but whateeeeever. So yeah. Immobilizing and watering and stuff. Which one should she do first? Probably immobilizing, so that younger students could water without fear. She edged her way to a particularly scary looking plant and pointed her wand at it (while staying a healthy distance away). "Immobulus," she said, completing the wand motion a bit clumsily. She didn't use that spell a lot, so she was a bit rusty. "Immobilized plant over here, if anyone needs it," she said, looking around. Then she performed a quick Aguamenti and started watering a quarter of the plant. |
SPOILER!!: Kyroh "Uh uh." And she didn't like being sick. No, sir. He didn't agree with her? Of course Ravenclaws always had a say in everything. Rolls eyes. "If you think that then what kind of foods you think its in their yummy list?" Since Kyroh seem to know everything *sarcasm here*. Maybe they should offer them one of the students just to try? Perhaps a certain Ravenclaw want to be the guinea pig? SPOILER!!: Beverly They're finished feeding the plants? But she just started. Hmph. Dung? They're gonna work with dragon's dung? Ewwwwww. She prefer to work with the meats. But nevertheless, the first year scooped up some dung. Now she just need to find an immobilized plant to sprinkle it with dragon's dung without being eaten alive. The Gryffindor saw an older Slytherin was casting the freezing charm to one of the shrubs and its stopped moving. COOL! She want to do that to. But she still need practice and now its not the right time. She walked towards the immobilized plant and sprinkled it with dung. "There you go, Mr. Plant."And thank you older Slytherin girl. |
