Madame Puddifoot's Madame Puddifoot's is a quiet tea shop where you can meet up with your friends. |
xD What a quaint little place. Tugging off her gloves as she stood near the doorway, awaiting the moment where the cold would stop following them after Airey shut the door, Medea took the first moment to glance around. You know, it was a lot better than what she was expecting it to be. Not nearly as corny as she'd heard. "It's actually not bad." she muttered, unable to take her eyes off one of the heart shaped cushion sitting upon a seat. ...creative. |
Stumbling to find balance without his cane, Airey attempted to pull Medea's chair out for her to sit on and definitely took notice of the heart shaped cushion. "At least it isn't a foot?" he chuckled as he gestured for her to sit down. Foot...PuddiFOOT...get it? Ahem. Unable to find the strength to push in her seat, he hobbled over to his own and took a seat before glancing over the menu. "Oh look, they have a selection of pudding as well," he mused as his eyes squinted at the prices. "Sweet solstice, 2 galleons for tea and scones? Why I was a boy it was 2 knuts and we had to fight off velociraptors to get at the clotted cream." |
Thank Merlin, indeed. Giggling softly, she reached out to help with the chair, though retracted her hand back to her gloves. He'd gotten it well enough. Though she wasn't all that surprised to find the cushion was pleasantly soft. Cushion-y. Too bad the prices of tea weren't the same. "You aren't that old, Airey." she said, lifting the menu up just a little more so only her eyes peaked out from the top. She glanced to him, eyes narrowed as if hinting she was smiling. "You are far too handsome to haff been born in the cretaceous period." |
Settling into his seat a bit more, he sort of wished that he had two cushions to set on and perhaps one for his back as well. Would anyone mind if he were to summon one from a nearby table? Maybe after he ordered something. Pudding DID sound good right now... Meeting her gaze as she spoke, he wished she would lower the menu he could actually see the smile that he knew was there. He could feel his wrinkly and age spot covered cheeks growing warm and he breathed in as he was breathing out. The not old he could believe, especially since he was still very much young at heart. The handsome, well, she was being far too generous. "I still have my hair at least," he replied as he patted his silver head. "But I certainly don't look young anymore, Medea. Don't feel it so much either. I look like I could be your grandfather instead of your..you know." That word. The one that he couldn't believe he could use to identify himself as. He glanced down at his menu and sighed. "I was hoping to take you dancing sometime, a proper dance...but all I think we'll be able to do are these sit down sort of...........things." Saying the word date was still weird. Not a bad weird. It was just a word that he hadn't been able to ever associate with himself and now that he could, well, it just didn't roll off the tongue so easily. Same with the b word. |
Alexa had been looking forward to this since the start of term feast. Kinda weird to think she'd be looking forward to a date but then it wasn't a real one, it was just A LOT OF FOOD. Her and Jun were going to have a field day with this place. Breakfast was skipped completely just to make space for all the yummy food. Entering, she realized she'd beaten him there. No problem. She took a table by the window and had no problem waiting. Good thing she brought her candy bag with her. Merlin knew how long he'd be...hopefully not too long? Candy could only fill her so much and all the smells in here were making her extra hungry. Hey wasn't that Professor Airey and Professor Romanos? She would have waved but they looked busy and her hand was already busily rummaging through her bag. Sugar quill. Perfect. |
Quote:
Spotting two of his professors, he decided not to bother them and walked further inside. Till he noticed Lex but the window and slid into the seat in front of her. "I hope you weren't here too long," And of course, she was already starting on her candy. Too bad he didn't bring his today. |
"Did you see, Alec? Those kids nearly knocked us down on their way into Zonko's! No respect and they didn't even apologize. So rude." Ella held on to the Head boyfriend's hand tightly, other hand supporting her back as she entered Madame Puddifoot's. The blonde (thanks to hair dye) was rather grumpy about how crowded it was in the village as she was hoping for a quiet trip in with Alec but no such luck. Instead they were left trying to navigate through the crowds and all while moving at a snail's pace. Did no one see they were walking as they pushed by? Merlin! At least it was warm and relatively quiet in here. There was tea here too which sounded brilliant after being out in the cold. She was still shivering slightly as she glanced over at Alec and smiled. "Well, where do you want to sit?" She was anxious to get comfortable after their walk in. Oh and hey, was that Professor Airey and Professor Romanos? BROWS. Ella nudged Alec gently and motioned her head And was that... ...erm...Lox? On a date?! Alec wasn't going to like that. |

She shifted her focus to the table again at the arrival of her company. "Nah." She held the sugar quill for him to see she'd only gotten about half way through it. "Still on the same sugar quill. Not that long." Though it could be argued it was a long time to have to wait for sugary treats. Eh. He was here now. Alexa reached for one of the menues at the centre of the table, flipping it open she found herself questioning why she'd never been here before. "I'm getting a sugar rush just reading all this stuff." She confessed with a grin. All this SUGAR. |

Disapproving looks and frowns had been shot towards them before Alec slowly headed into Madam Puddifoot's after Head Girlfriend. Not bad, this place. Certainly better than the dangerous, overcrowded high street back there. And hold hands was nice, did she know? Really nice. It felt comfortable and normal and made him feel better and younger than he had been feeling lately. Grey hairs were evil. Where to sit? "How about..." He cast his eyes around the area before slowly walking over towards a table that wasn't too far away. They had back pain to be dealing with, you know. And these seats looked comfortable to him. More comfortable than walking. "... here? What do you think?" And sweet? What was she-- ... Oh! Was that... SQUINT. Flamsteed? And... more squinting. Romanos? "If they start kissing, do you think we'd get away with it too?" And was it only going to be the Head Couple and the Profe-- ... O__O ... NO. No no NO. DISAPPROVAL FROM THE HEAD BOY. Grey-blue eyes widened at the sight in front of him and he held a hand over his heart. His poor, brotherly heart that was shattering at the image of Candy... on a DATE?! No she wouldn't do such a thing. Right? She was only... what? Twelve? Was she? He didn't know. Whatever her age, she was still that little girl he had met back at the Leaky Cauldron. Ah, the memories. Sweet old memories. ... Alarm bells started ringing in his head. He needed a profile on this guy. Who was he? What were his intentions with Alec's Candy? Questions. He had them. ... Maybe he could interrogate the guy. He cast a look over at the pair before glancing back at Ells. "Do you know that young man?" he whispered. |

Slowly following the Head Boy as he headed towards a table, the eighteen year old kept casually glancing back over towards the professors. She could see them much better with her new glasses and her peepers weren't hurting nearly as much which made for good Ella eased into her seat quite slowly and squirmed a bit before she got completely comfortable. "They just don't make chairs like they used to." How did people SURVIVE these days with such uncomfortable seating? Surely these weren't the same chairs that the couple had sat in on their first ever date. "Of course we can kiss. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem at all." And if it was, she'd just lodge a complaint. They weren't in school so it shouldn't matter at all. O____________O Why was he clutching his heart like that? WAS HE HAVING A HEART ATTACK?! Ella's first aid courses when she was a kid had never covered that and what was she meant to do if he- Wait, what was he whispering now? "Huh?!" something about knowing he had sweaty hands? "Well just wipe them on your pants or something if they're sweaty, Alec." She'd thought he liked holding hands. |

Jun laughed. "Do you get the bad sugar rushes where you just go crazy?" he grinned. He did that once. Needless to say, there were more than a few broken things in their house and that's when his mum made him and Kai cut back. Drastically. Though, she couldn't control him here in Hogwarts so he was going to fulfill his heart's content. "Maybe we should start with something small and go bigger later?" Mhm, starting small usually made a bit more room for bigger desserts later. Oh. Jun almost forgot. "I brought you back some Korean candy from my trip," he grinned, reaching into his pocket and setting the small bag in front of her. "I have more in my bag but since I didn't bring it, I brought you a bit from what I got you," And his bag had lots of different kinds for her to try. "They look like stones, but it's just chocolate. More like M&Ms," |
SPOILER!!: Jun~ She chuckled but shook her hand. "I've never been known to slowly devour candy. Getting half way there took no time at all." As far as she knew but it might have been somewhat long. The Gryffindor wasn't aware of the fact that she'd been eating everything slower since recently. Looking over, she spotted Hair Boy and El-something.....Merlin tell her this wasn't happening again. Her memory had been on the in's and out's. It was a miracle she remembered most anything anymore but she should have remembered the girl.... Er.... El...Ell...erm...--Ella! Right. Lex gave them both a smile and a wave before looking to Jun again. How honestly was she prepared to answer his question? Hmm...Lex gave it some thought then shrugged, deciding he wouldn't judge her because he was a candy addict too. "You could say that. It's like I go super hyper, can't sit still or anything and you'd think I'd stop eating when this happens but my intake just doubles." It was kinda like...not wanting to come off the sugar rush once she'd gotten on it. Sugar had a way of making her very happy. "Starting small sounds like a plan. We could start with the croissants. Those shouldn't be too big, yeah?" Her eyes were still scanning the menu when she heard what sounded like the mention of candy and it had her eyes darting back to him immediately. Lex dropped the menu without a second thought and reached instead for the candy being offered. "Neat, you remembered!" She didn't care what they looked like, he just said they were chocolate and that was all she needed to hear. "Thanks! And you said you brought more for me too?" |

It was easy to get tired after a bit of walking. Very easy. Though, maybe he should have let the girl know when he was going to stop by the table so she wouldn't end up bumping into him. He jumped a little and looked back at her only to... blink. And raise his eyebrows. Love? That was a first. "That's fine, Ells. Your love, I can be." And he bent over slowly -- OW! -- and kissed the back of her hand. What a loving gesture. When that was done and the Head Girl had taken her seat, Alec proceeded to do the same. Yes. Seats. Better than standing. How kids did that these days, he didn't know. "Sorry, I didn't quite catch that, girlfriend," Had she said something? Or was it something else? Maybe from the Professor couple over there. And speaking of... "Thank you. It would be my pleasure to kiss you," he said, shooting her a smile before picking up his menu. Now... where was the ham. ... Erm... what?! Did she say... sweaty HANDS?! "Who...?" ... Oh. OH. "Does he have sweaty hands?!" He. That guy over there sitting with Candy, who was, funnily enough, handing out candy. It always started from the candy. ... Oh look! Was that a wave? Alec smiled and waved back at Candy. See? She had been brought up properly, unlike other young kids with their flower crowns and gadgets and gizmos. And nods for the young man. |

The hand kiss was a nice touch though the Head Girl was a bit confused by Alec's wording. It sounded vaguely familiar though she couldn't quite put her finger on it. Some wise...green guy talked like that. Little green wise guy? No, wise green little guy. Erm.. ... ...Yoda! Yoda. Airey would be so proud! Ella blushed and replied sheepishly, "Really glad, am I." Ehehe. He didn't catch that? "But I didn't throw anything?" Confused Ella was confused and she tapped her chin thoughtfully as she eyed the boyfriend person. Had that Lox girl thrown some candy at him or something? Not nice, Loxy. SQUINTS for you. As for kissing, Ella grinned. "You'll have to come sit by me, though. I don't think I'll be moving any time soon." She'd just gotten semi-comfy so no kisses unless he was making a trip to her side of the table. Just saying. And following his lead, Ella picked up her own menu and scanned the choices. She was in the mood for...toast and tea today. Could she get that? He? He who? "I only hold your hand, Summers." So no, she had no idea of this mysterious he and whether or not his hands were sweaty like her boyfriend's apparently were. Oh and Lox was waving at them. Waveeeeee! "What a dear." To interrupt her date to wave. Nice kid, Loxy was. |
SPOILER!!: Prefect Candy Jun grinned. So then if Lex was on her fifth piece, they he would've been late. Maybe even. But yeah, anyway. Being curious as always, Jun turned his head to see the head boy and girl in the shop too. Their names didn't even come to mind. But it bothered him that he knew the head girl from somewhere else but couldn't remember. It was like that time he literally had forgotten what his cousins' name was. Thankfully Shin and Kimberly didn't mind, with them now knowing he was a wizard and explained what was going on with him. Hence the gray hair. But then he had already dyed it all gray and no one really questioned it. They were probably used to him with different hair color by now. Jun snorted. "Would throwing water on you help? Or hexes will happen?" he smirked, but that answer was obvious. Hexes. But just imagine hexes being thrown around by two people who find it their specialty to do so? Nothing would really end up well there. Jun nodded. Croissants sounded good to him. "Mhm, let's get those first," Because he would probably just nibble on it. His appetite has gotten weird ever since coming back from Christmas break. But he wasn't going to let himself believe it was because of the weird thing going around. Which really needed to just go by now. "Uh, kind of? My brother kept reminding me to buy it but I couldn't remember who it was for.." Seriously, dumb memory issues. Thankfully, he had written it down in his book before everything got worse. He nodded. "At least I think it's for you. Again, my brother got it and dumped it all in my bag. Some isn't chocolate from what I saw, but most of it is," |

See? This was the great thing about his girlfriend. She went along with his weird. Grins for you, blushing girlfriend. "You're blushing, you know." ... He... probably wasn't meant to point that out but he was going to do so anyways. ... Erm... what? "Why... would you be throwing something?" They were in a shop, not the Quidditch pitch. Quidditch pitches were good for throwing things. Please don't throw things, girlfriend, the shopkeeper would throw them out. And then they'd be back out there with the rowdy kids. ... He... didn't want that. Safety reasons, you know. Keep the Head Girl safe. "I love you so... I can muster up enough energy to move there and kiss you." Another loving gesture. Kisses in a teashop. And... speaking of... "See anything you like from the menu?" "I... thank you," Confusing girlfriend was confusing today. "But... I don't have sweaty hands." He even held his hands up in the air above the table so she could see it. There. ... Dear? Oh! Candy! "She hasn't got mashed potatoes for brains," Good. "I still want to know who the young lad is." |
Ready to order ^^ SPOILER!!: He forgot it was for her XD Leave it to a Ravenclaw to try finding a solution to everything, even things that weren't problems to begin with. She gave a firm shake of her head. "Nope. Not at all. My reflexes are better when I'm on a sugar rush." Good reflexes where excellent to have. It's why Alice let her have candy before matches even though they were meant to be on this super strict diet to make sure they didn't go flopping and sluggish all over the Quidditch Pitch. Personally she didn't see what the big deal was so despite her Captain forbidding it, she had all the candy she wanted. Lex followed Jun's gaze and spotted that Ella girl--see she remembered this time--waving back. Were they on a date over there? Was she interrupting? Could they be nice enough to warn her before they started any kissing? That would be fantastic. Having both decided on croissants first, Alexa looked around for the lady in charge of this place. Er...was she just meant to yell or.....? Lex leaned onto the table and whispered. "I don't see the Shopkeep Lady. How exactly are we meant to get her?" Lex was quite sure that if they broke something she'd be out in a flash but that would have been counter-productive because they weren't trying to get kicked out. Whaaaat?? Lex leaned back in her seat, a look of disbelief present. He FORGOT whether it was for her or not? "It's for me, trust me. All of it. Even the ones you didn't bother taking with you." Just in case he got any bright ideas about handing them out in the Ravenclaw Common Room later when she couldn't see. "How many did you get with chocolate in them?" |
Quote:
She did know, thank you very much. Ella bit her lip and brought her hands up to her face, covering her cheeks and willing the red to go away. "Just cause it's there doesn't mean you have to point it out, Alec Summers." And she made a stern face at him. Why would she be throwing something? "You're the one who said you hadn't caught something and I thought..." Oh Merlin, she was losing her gobstones. She should probably be worried about this. Probably. "Never mind." They could just forget she'd said anything, yeah? And when he said he loved her, she did forget what they'd been saying before. She smiled too and her stomach got those butterflies. It was nice, hearing that. "I love you too. Lots and lots." And it was really nice that he still loved her even though she was going blind and was partially deaf and was more wrinkly and grey than an elephant. He was showing her his hands? "But you said..." Had she misheard him again? The blonde frowned slightly and tugged at her right earlobe absently. This was a bad sign, yeah? "I guess I heard you wrong." Sorry about that, boyfriend. The eighteen year old perked up slightly at the mention of mashed potatoes because YUM and watched the Lox girl curiously, just then noticing who was with her. "I do know...actually." Or at least she thought it was the same guy. "I think he was my fellow intern at Magical Menagerie. His name was...June or something." Maybe. Possibly. ...June, though? Hm. |
Quote:
This was going to be one of those times when he had to grin so she wouldn't be too mad, right? Awesome. Grinning was happening. "But it's great! Don't cover them up, embrace it," Nodnod. ... Yeah... he was confused. "I did?" Caught something... Why would he say something like that? "You sure?" Because he'd much rather sort out whatever-- ... GRIN. Lots and lots. "I'm really glad that you do." See? This was nice. Even if these seats weren't as comfortable as the sofa they liked to cuddle on back in the common room. ... Oh food. "Oh a bacon buttie! Look, Ells, they have cheese and crackers!" Good old healthy snack. "Tea sounds great. I might get some too," Better than coffee they served in shops. Too much sugar. And speaking of sugar, half of the things on the menu seemed to be swimming in the stuff! And the prices? A small frown formed on his face before he said, "Yeah... they certainly weren't that high back in the day." Maybe... he should stop showing her his hands? Yeah. Letting them drop down again, he frowned a little at her. "Erm... has that been happening a lot lately?" Because she should get that looked at with the Healer. ... Wait... "You do?!" Way to withhold vital information, Bishop. "June... June... what is he like?" |
Lux, Bart, Louis and Kace? Maybe all of you? XD Emmylou "Toucan" Duchannes was ready for her very first trip to Hogsmeade, this would be the closest that she would be to Hogwarts besides going to that Ravenclaw verses Slytherin match. Even though she knew little to nothing about Quidditch she had loads of fun at the match. Once again her butthead roommates had replaced HER clothes with nicer and girlier clothes, she had a feeling that they burned her clothes, she really hoped that they didn't because she had nice close but she might be wrong AND they put more make up on her face. |
Quote:
Looking around, it was not long before she spotted Emmylou, who she had met recently at a Quidditch game. Smiling, she approached the girl, taking a seat in the chair beside her. "Hey! How are you doing, Emmy?" |
Mention of Lux :) SPOILER!!: Emmylou :3 Kace was walking around Hogsmeade. He missed this place a lot. He loved when all the shops were opened and just seeing the cheery atmosphere. He got invite from twitter that he was supposed to meet Emmylou here. He was kind of excited to meet her. They had a lot in common and it was just nice to meet people in person ya know? He was told to meet at Madame Puddifoots which was cool, he was craving something sweet and wanted some tea. As he went inside the store, he saw her and waved. "Hey Emmylou!" he said letting her know he was here. He also saw a new girl and nodded towards her and gave her a warm smile. |
Toucan, Lady Lux and Kace! As a new student enjoying his first term at Hogwarts, Louis had never been to Hogsmeade before. So finding the place Toucan and Lady Lux had been talking about was a bit challenging. However, once he spotted the cozy little teashop in one corner of the street, he couldn’t believe how blind he’d been. It was a little hard to miss a place so… pink. And girly. With his hands buried in the pockets of his trousers to avoid the cold, Louis walked into the little shop. It didn’t take very long to spot the other three kids - Lux’s bright hair made an excellent landmark. “Lady Lux!” he beamed at the sight of his Little Lady of the House of Hufflepuff, greeting her by ruffling her bright red hair playfully. He turned his blue-eyed gaze to Emmylou next, putting on a face of mock disappointment. “Toucan! Where’s your beak?” He chuckled softly and proceeded to sit across from the two girls, next to a younger boy he’d never met before. “Hey, mate. I’m Louis,” he introduced himself, offering the boy a hand in friendly greeting. |
