Madame Puddifoot's is a quiet tea shop where you can meet up with your friends.
The tea shop is laid out in a typical English tea room fashion. Lace doilies cover each table on top of the flower patterned table cloths. In the middle of each is a small container with a tea light candle, ready to be lit for those on a romantic retreat. The windows are half covered by fancy net curtains, leaving just enough room at the top to see over and down Hogsmeade's High Street. Little flower and heart covered cushions are on each seat awaiting your arrival.
Sapphira Puddifoot keeps the shop this way because she has to. But she has no desire to look upon all the fancy decorations herself, which is why you'll most likely find her in the back room. She'll come and serve you, but make sure you know what you want to order as she doesn't have all day.

Never mind that she'd spilled a whole bottle of purple nail polish all over his bedspread. Never mind that.
"Wow, you're REALLY making me feel better," Caleb said with an eyeroll. If someone really WAS on their deathbed, wouldn't it be better to try and encourage them that it would be ok? Give them false hope just to make them feel better? That's what Caleb would do. He was 13 years old. He was NOT writing a will. End of story.
"Excuse me, girls are TOUGH. You should have hit him back! I got hit by a girl once and she almost broke my nose," he explained. Yeah, he'd been punched by Genie the Psycho Snake. And he had done NOTHING to deserve it. Girls just made excuses not to be tough. This one, he could tell, was one of those girls. Not wanting to break a nail and all that.

"Well you're not doing much either are you? If I was suffering from old!lurgy, I'd be proactive about it, not sitting around alone in a teashop practically waiting to die." Ruby pointed out.
... she was awesome at making friends, right?
"Has he ever hit YOU? You can't judge unless you KNOW." He was much bigger than Ruby after all. She examined Caleb's nose. "Well at least your nose didn't set crooked. It would be a nice nose if it wasn't old and stuff."

Alright now this was getting too crazy. They were all liking the same exact things. He smiled and chuckled. "I think this is getting insane that we are all liking the EXACT same things. I mean nothing wrong with it. It will be easy to go shopping for us." he joked with her.
He was glad she liked his idea. "I am glad you think so..." he smiled and held her hand up and kissed it. He squeezed her hand back too. "Well at least i am not the only one. I think we just got really really lucky is all or fate was on our side." he winked.
How could one person just be pure perfection? Emmylou sighed happily. Seriously, though. Kace was just perfection. This was amazing to share so much in common with one person. Emmy's blue eyes lit up when he spoke. "I was just thinking that same thing. I find it a relief because it'll be easier to buy things." Emmylou grinned across the table.
Emmy blushed and smiled when he kissed her hand. Fate? Emmylou could agree with that. The connection they have just felt so right, like they were meant to be together. "I think it feels like fate."

Kace nodded. "It is true. I mean it will be easier for me to get you birthday gifts and christmas gifts." he winked. He was relieved that he knew what she liked. It was because of all the time they spent together. He loved it when they were just alone. It was then that he could feel their true connection.
Now they had to wait for the server to take their order. "Now where is our server..." he asked looking around.

Honestly Emmylou couldn't wait to get a present for Kace. Maybe she would get him something on the next date. Emmy blinked, had they been dating for a month already? Emmy honestly felt like she should know this because she knew tons of girls that would spaz out over the remembering dates but Emmy was bad at it and Kace was her very first boyfriend so maybe she would be forgiven by the girlfriend rules/goddess?
Where was their waiter/waitress? Emmylou felt like she was here for ages but it really couldn't have been longer than fifteen minutes? Emmy moved her head around to try and find the waiter/waitress. "I don't know, I don't see anyone." Emmy shrugged. Darn shortness.

"I think that's a great idea," he said, agreeing to the thought of making it a tradition. "This place does hold a lot of good memories." All of their Valentine's Days together had been memorable for one reason or another (though he tried to not let a certain one come to his mind at all) and, though they couldn't go back to one of the places that was special, this one held meaningful memories as well. He wouldn't mind at all to make this a yearly thing. Or at least try to. "I love you too," he grinned.
Without really looking around too much, Ethan allowed his eyes to glance at a couple of the tables nearby. He hadn't really thought about it before, but then again he was really only here when it was a school weekend which this clearly wasn't. There had to be a lot of older witches and wizards that lived around here and of course they'd want to celebrate a day like today too. "Yeah, I bet you're right. That would make good sense for a place like this when kids aren't here to draw the business." They'd have to cater to the locals somehow. Looking back at her, he grinned again. Maybe it was better this way, they could just enjoy their day alone together.
"That is a given," he smiled, thinking of Gunnar in the cute little onesie he had gotten him. He didn't get to spend all that much time with him today, spending most of it at work, then coming here afterwards. They wouldn't be out that long, though he did want to make the most of their time here. At her question, he glanced at the menu again. He remembered that they didn't have a whole lot of dinners here. It seemed more suitable for lunches and snacks, but that was alright with him. It was the location more than the selection. "I think I'm going to have a Bacon Buttie and a fruit salad. Maybe some dessert too.." But that much he hadn't decided on yet..
“I’m glad you agree.” She smiled sweetly at him. This was such a nice idea and she was hoping they could repeat it often. Hogsmeade was always such a great place to visit while they were in school and not that it was a great getaway, but with a little one at home that she didn’t want to leave she was happy to be out somewhere close. “Maybe we should swing by the three broomsticks before we go home.” She grinned, another great memory place. One of the first time she kissed him came to mind.
“You know I never really thought about Hogsmeade being a place where people lived when I was at school. Just a place for us to visit and hangout.” Weird how you didn’t think of the big picture as a child in the castle. The only thing that mattered was what was going on in there. How things were so different now. “Well it’s nice to just have us time, so I’m fine with it not being a weekend, plus these older couples are cute.” They reminded her of her grandparents really.
She smiled as they talked about their son. “He looked just too cute in that little outfit you bought him. I had to go to my grandparents and show him off as well as your parents.” She did enjoy showing her baby off obviously a proud mommy. “Speaking of your mom I was talking to her a little bit today about maybe going back to the hospital like once or twice a week. What do you think?” She really hadn’t thought much about going back to work yet, but once his mother asked the thought stayed in her mind. She did miss the social part of the hospital and she wanted to still be a healer one day.

Caleb scowled. This girl was really starting to drive him up a wall - and where was his tea?! He'd screamed for it like two hours ago. At least, it felt like two hours.
"Well what do you expect me to do?" he asked. Really, he wanted to hear HER take on this whole thing. Did she have some magic cure he didn't know about? Yeah, he figured she probably didn't. He kind of wanted to see whatever she pulled out of thin air though, since he could already tell this girl had an answer for everything.
"Can't hurt much more than a bludger, or a punch by Genie whateverherlastnameis," he grumbled, crossing his arms. Nevermind the fact that he had never been hit with a bludger before. That was something he was quite proud of, actually. "And thanks, although who knows if these wrinkles will ever go away. I might be scarred for life!" he said dramatically.
Seriously, would the elasticity or whatever ever come back after this disease had run his course? OHMIGOSH HE HADN'T THOUGHT OF THAT!

As Kace was waiting for their waiter, he was tapping on his fingers and decided to go ahead and do it. "Soo since i know it is our one month, but my sister being the crazy person she is, she had a little something in her drawers. She asked if you would like it and she was gonna throw it out." he said reaching into his pocket and giving her a little box.
He knew the look and said, "Don't worry it is not a ring.." he said hastily waving his hands. "It is a little something that my sister had in her drawers and wanted me to give to you." he smiled.
“I’m glad you agree.” She smiled sweetly at him. This was such a nice idea and she was hoping they could repeat it often. Ethan mirrored Minerva's smile, though it soon grew to a grin to match the one hers turned into and he couldn't help the chuckle at her words. He had a pretty good idea what she might be remembering as he thought about the first time he had visited the Three Broomsticks. That had been a great day. "Sure, I think we'd have time to stop there. Maybe get a drink or something." Maybe they should have gone there instead as they had actual dinners, but this place always seemed a little more cozy and not quite as busy. Though maybe that didn't matter when it wasn't a school weekend. Still, this was a special place and he was glad they were here.
He nodded a bit and casually glanced at a couple tables near them, trying not to be rude. Ethan did know that there was an entire village of people here, even stopped at one of those houses at one point last year, but for the most part the actual shops seemed the most prevalent, the place where everyone went. Even when he would visit from Uni, it was always on a school weekend and that was who lined the streets. It just seemed like such a stark contrast today. "Yeah, there must be families and stuff here." And obviously a large population of the elderly. He didn't know of any kids that came from here but there must be some, right? He turned back to Min and gave her a smile. "Sounds good to me too. Maybe we'll come back on our 50th anniversary and some young kids will wonder what we're doing here too," he said with a grin and chuckle.
He continued grinning as she talked about Gunnar and the little outfit he picked up. It really was cute and he thought it was perfect for him. "Of course you did," he chuckled, though he wondered if the grandparents got him Valentines gifts too. That would be no surprise there. He looked up as she mentioned the hospital. "Sure.. I know how much you loved it there. If you feel like you can handle a day or two, why not?" But that was something up to her. He also knew how much time she devoted to taking care of Gunnar and their home, so it was really what she wanted to try to balance. He didn't think once a week would be so difficult though.

If the kids wished to see him that evening, they would have to wait for a few hours, because Cosgrach was on a friendly date with one Cutty's mother, lovely Soheir.
He came about 10 minutes early as was his custom with women, and sat at a table that was near the windows to look at the street. He hoped Cutty wouldn't pass right there and then while he had a date with his mother, and other than him, he didn't mind the other students.
She would... come, right? For once, Cosgrach couldn't be sure with a woman.

The skies were doing their 'I'm gonna rain, but not right now, but I'll wait til it's inopportune for you' thing that they often did and the humidity was frizzling Soheir's normally wavy hair and messing with the texture. Her outfit, loud as ever, was straight from 1993 with it's mix of black and bold colour. One might call her manner of personal presentation, in a word, unafraid. The maturely aged witch's sherbert orange painted little mouth twisted in a half-smile showing a dimple as she passed through the threshold to Puddifoot's.
And, there was Cosgrach! She cheerfully waved and moved over to have a seat. "Am I late?" She asked a bit concernedly taking a look at her pocket watch, before snapping it shut again. "Or are you early?"

...oh, there she was!
Relief.
He got up to greet her, but didn't try to pull her chair for her. That would be too much.

"How are you?"
Had it really been that long? Soheir had forgotten that he could do that, though she remembered thinking he'd be too irresponsible to be on time for his classes and surprised when he proved this wrong. The passage of time between their youth and now made her start to forget things.
The sherbert smile on her lips brought out both her dimples as she answered, "I am well. Sort of glad we waited for a while before we met up again. My boss, Mr. Egg was handing out extra hours at work and I probably would've been too frazzled to have been good company anyway." She adjusted her oversized handbag onto the seat nearest to the window so that she was seated closer to the aisle. "How about you, Cos? How are you doing? How is being a Potions Master treating you?" She looked a bit worried, her mind on the aging disease Cutty had written home to her about.

Cosgrach chuckled. "I have just finished my classes too." So apparently they had both picked the best time.
Great for a coffee.
"I've been doing alright." He grinned as he remembered the compliments, though there was a sad side in his smile too, as if he couldn't enjoy it fully.
"I think the kids like my classes." He was proud and he didn't hide it.

"Have you talked to Cutty these days?"
"Oh, Cutty speaks nothing but highly of your classes." She propped her elbows on the table and took a drink from her water glass. "Says he's really learned a lot and that Potions is becoming his second favourite subject." But she wondered if Cutty was just telling her that.
Soheir's elbows on the table supported her hands which suddenly covered her face at the mention of Cutty. Was she about to cry? Laugh? No, she just shook her head, the worry clear and apparent. She was both worried and amused by the events that befell her son. On the one hand he was growing old with no cure in sight. On the other he seemed to be taking it in stride and adjusting to it. Thank goodness there as no Gringott's location opened in Hogsmeade. She had a feeling he would try to access the family vault. "Do they know what's caused the disease? Is it a disease? There seem to be no incidents of it outside of the school." This wasn't at all like the Hogwarts of her and Cosgrach's day. Little things would happen, yes. Strange visitors, but nothing this severe.

Oh, so Cosgrach imagined the... attitude? Maybe he was just late for something and rushed to reach there? Cosgrach was relieved. Had to be that, then, because why would Cutty lie to his mother?
"I'm gl--"
...
What was she doing with her hands, elbows and face?
Being a concerned parent. Right. This was the second he'd had to deal this year. Who knew how many would seek his advice in the next?
"I believe it is a disease, because there were healers around." He sighed in frustration, looking angry. He WAS furious. They didn't even tell him what they had found, let alone call him to that meeting.
"But I can't be more specific, because I don't know anything either." It was so stupid. He ought to be informed--everyone should have been, but they weren't told anything at all.

"How stupid!" She said in frustration, but then held a hand toward her mouth realizing how this could've sounded and maybe she might've enjoyed poking fun at lil baby/grown-man Cossy every now and then in the future, but right now they were on the exact same page. "I mean, they should have informed you, you're there everyday, but three months out of every year." She decided to leave out the fact that there were parents who had the right to know as well and then after a brief pause she added, "What are they hiding?" Their dual-Slytherin senses placed together might be able to make sense of this malarky.

He frowned deeply in confusion as his eyes were on hers. "You think they are hiding something?" Then he remembered how terrible Annie looked, and every kid really, and he pressed both of his hands on his face in exasperation.
"I don't know. I was just thinking, since I'm not... affected..." But it was a silly thought, and he was looking at her in growing fear.

Soheir tilted her head and gave a small smile towards Cossy. Was he really this innocent? "Someone always knows something, Cosgrach. And only one can keep a secret. Somewhere down the line of the officials who have looked into this have to have some idea about what's going on. But the latest reports in the Daily Prophet suggest utter cluelessness." She said sounding more like her son that she meant to. He at least inherited her suspicion, or if you wanted to be kind, we could call it a sleuthing tendency.
She put her hands into a small, loose fist and used them to hide her mouth out of nervousness, but also in thought. "I just don't believe that people are that stupid." She never could trust that, besides it would be foolish and arrogant to think that one always had the upper hand. She had only followed the philosophy once for a much younger man. Her thought was slightly interrupted by the server who'd come to take their order. Soheir put in for a black coffee, but realizing she was hungry also ordered a small basket of beignets.
"Have you ever met Abraham Botros?" That was Cutty's Runes teacher. He'd written home to tell his mother that he'd met another Egyptian wizard. Often that made for a quick favour, but now, in this case, after what the prophet had said and with DeTalone still being a fugitive, Botros was giving Sue the heebee jeebeez.

He knew he would grow soft at a school! Just one term, and he lost his suspecting edge already. He looked at the woman in front of him somewhat sheepishly. He knew her words by heart. Those were secret Slytherin motto.
"Well, they've got to announce something soon, right?" A whole school going old? He was sure if this went international, they would lose all the tourist population.
And don't even ask him how he made such a connection.
Her question sounded to out of blue that even though he had heard her alright, he had to ask her again: "What? Sure I have. What, he is behind it?"

"They've got to. It'll look bad if they don't. Unless they think that we are stupid, but that would be a grave mistake on their part." So here's hoping that something would be announced soon. Anything at all.
"His name was mentioned in the paper. Abraham Botros." She repeated, her mouth wrapping around his name in an articulate fashion. "And it seems some people do suspect him, if not that Amarantha De Talone woman herself."
"I don't know what to think about that." She said, attempting to pull him back down to earth. She honestly didn't want to send her old friend (probably the only old friend she had these days) back to school a paranoid mess. "What did he seem like ...when you met him?" Botros had been working at the school since before Cutty had been attending and well, why blow what she'd call a good career move.

She was right there, so he thoughtfully nodded. A rare thing for him, he didn't know what to say They weren't stupid. Cosgrach had been desperate to ignore it, but people were rightfully worried about their children. He was worried for himself! Just because he had been healthy all this time certainly didn't mean--
"Oh, but--" It just... couldn't be Mr. Botros! The man was... Cosgrach frowned, ignoring all that she was saying. It couldn't be him... but maybe...
"Well, now that you mention it... he's been getting younger. I mean, he's old enough to be my father, probably even older, but... he doesn't have a motive, other than being young again, but do it in that fashion?" Well, he was busted, if that was the case. Hufflepuff, was he? They had zero cunning.
That was how he seemed like. "Sweet and caring. Incapable of doing anything than runes." But you never knew.

Bay had wanted to do a date for Lux for some time and thank goodness they were allowed to come to hogsmeade. Due to his awesome planning he had asked in advance when they were free and he had managed to send a message for them to have a special corner.. with flowers placed on the table and blue and white themes everywhere around it. Blue for her favourite colour and white to match the white Lillie's.
Sitting in shop he waited for her to arrive, he had hoped that she got his note and just didn't think that he had abandoned her to go to hogsmeade.

Lux was so excited right now after getting a note from Bay saying that he wanted to meet her at Puddifoots. This was a place that she had wanted him to take her for ages. Eagerly she walked inside and started to look for her boyfriend.
Where was he?
Scanning around, she finally spotted him at the corner table. Blue and white? Lilies? He had gone through all this trouble for her. She felt like the luckiest girl in the world as she walked over to him. Gosh, she was going to cry tears of happiness, she just knew it.

He was getting so nervous and he didn't know why… they have been on tons of dates before and they have been dating for a few months now.. "okay shake it off" he told himself as he looked towards the front door… and there she was.. she was looking for him.. his heart skipped a beat in his chest as he saw her find him..
He have her a big smile as she made her way to him. Getting up he pulled out her chair for her but stopping her first to give her a big hug and a quick kiss on her rosy little cheeks… it was rather cold outside. ordering in advance two steaming mugs of hot chocolate were already at the table.
"I'll take your coat and help you get seated" he said sticking out his arm for her to place her coat on. See he was trying to be all romantic.. because he had a special gift to give her… His grandmother gave him a necklace to give to who ever he pleased and he knew it belonged to her. It was tucked away in a nice little box for him to give her later during their awesome date.
