Post 5 SPOILER!!: Adi With the obstacle clear and the ground seemingly free of more for the moment, Ben allowed more rein and pushed them forward a little faster. The Gryffindor was starting to take note of the other carriages when he thought he could spare a free glance. Even the sisters seemed to be handling it well. He couldn't help his own smile as Adi used his own nickname, minus the "old" part for once in a long time. . It felt so good to be on such speaking and doing terms with his bestie. Benny had certainly missed working together these past weeks and they were working out as such a great team. Just a little bit longer it appeared to his eye. Could they have smooth sailing from now on? |
Post 6 SPOILER!!: Benny They were almost there! Adi could see the finish line. He wasn't sure if anyone else crossed the line but who cared? Team Adi and Benny had almost completed the race. "Just a little more, Benny!'' Oh and there loomed two piles of snow! One big and one small. Of course Adi wasted no time in getting rid of them. "Redcto!'' Bye- bye went the smaller pile. "Reducto!'' Good bye, bigger pile. Clear path ahead! It was all up to Benny now. |

"Maybe. Maybe a little faster," Mo decided, loosening his hold on the reins. They shot forward like a stone from a slingshot, and Mo nearly fell out of the carriage. Would have broken his face, too. Quote:

No. No no, it was just their carriage because their DRIVER was INCOMPETENT. Grayson, who was still standing up, yelped as he held on to the side of the carriage to stop himself from toppling right over and onto the ground. JEEZ. What a crazy driver. He was going to make a mental note not to trust THIS one again. But even as he did so, he did notice that the rocks had been blasted away. HA. No tripping us up this time around. Wait. What? WHAAAAAAAAAAT?! The fourteen year old straightened up again and cast Declan and incredulous look. THIS was the kind of thanks he got for blasting some rocks out of their way?! Jeez. Some people needed to learn their manners. Go back to primary school. "Do you mind not almost killing me next time, then?" And see? Not yelling. "Also. Do you think you can go faster? We have a race to win." Come ON. And they were clear of that explosion from the rocks back there so Grayson didn't care whether anyone else had to deal with it or not. Instead, he was going to deal with that pile of snow over there. "REDUCTO!" Outta the way, you. |
Post 6 Crossing the finish line SPOILER!!: Adi Ben saw the piles but then he saw the two sparks of light obviously coming from behind him and the tip of Adi's wand. Unless of course someone was helping them out from the side lines. But seriously. The snow banks burst once more and Benny manuevered them through the worst of it, glad the abraxan was playing along well enough. Nothing like teamwork between man and creature. Or in this case....boys and creature. The three of them doing nicely as they recovered from the coverage of falling precipitation that had come from the Hufflepuff's targets. Coming closer to the end, the Gryffindor eased them into the final sprint. Come on...come on. Just a little further. Then they would cross it, not even caring at the moment of winning but just completing the challenge set before them. And then... Finally. The end! |
SPOILER!!: The Dragon Best Friend Annnnd they were done! Awesomeee! "Excellent job, Benny!'' Adi said, giving his best friend a quick bro hug with one arm. So had this little activity help put the past behind them? Best friends for life again? Hopefully. Adi climbed out of the carriage. Where were the Professors? What did they do with the horse and carriage now? Well at least Benny could steer it into the corner to clear the way for the others. |
Post 5 Cris & Norah SPOILER!!: Cris So they had a brief moment of peace, riding along with no problems. Jasmine chuckled to herself when Cris heard her talking to the horse and mistakenly thought she was talking to him. Well he had to know that she thought that he was the most handsome guy ever sooooo it was all good. Before Jasmine even had the chance to relax and feel comfortable, a BIG wall of snow appeared right in front of them. Ohhhhhhhh........for a moment Jamine was frozen. She didn't know what to do. Did they have time to get around it? She was pretty sure they couldn't go through it. How were they going to get out of this one? Cris called out a warning, but she had seen it. Before she could make a decision, she saw a jet of orange light go past her and head straight for the snow wall. And then fireworks, the snow wall exploded into a million pieces. It was really rather spectacular until the debris threatened to engulf them. Fortunately they were saved by her protectors' shield and not a moment too soon. That one was too close for comfort and it left Jasmine shaking for a moment. She was thankful that the explosion hadn't startled her horsie, but he ran on unfazed. Finally able to take a breath, Jasmine wasn't sure how much more of this she could take. Sill she kept on driving, hoping that they would reach the end of the race soon. |

"Yeah, now we're talking." Lex said, kicking back in the carriage after he'd consented to them going faster than the speed they were currently sputtering at. All at once the Abraxan was off, like Mo had unleashed everything in one go and it sent her jerking forward harshly. "Merlin! See why these things do better flying??" It sure would have led for a smoother ride, not this swinging and swaying that had her clinging to a said of the carriage. "Heard what?" She spun in several times before she spotted the snowball hurtling toward them at an insane speed. Instinctively her wand shot up and she took aim. "Expulso!" The loud BOOM that followed left a grin of satisfaction on her face. "Nothing we need to worry about." Could she do that again? |
Post 3 Quote:
It was a really sharp turn. "Careful. Try not to hex off my nose. If I don't get to play Quidditch after school, I'm obviously going to have to live off my looks." Or not. Mo let go of Lex and picked up the reins again with both hands, redirecting the Abraxan to the original path. "Keep your eyes peeled." |
Post 3 Quote:
She burst out laughing at Mo's announcement that his face may be his only source of living if Quidditch didn't happen. She could see it working for him but laughing was better than admitting, obviously. "Lucky for you I happen to have brilliant aim." Though with the way this carriage was jerking about, it was a wonder she hadn't hexed another carriage on accident. She gave him a two fingered salute after he'd let her go then turned to see what else might be trying to get them killed. Just up ahead there was what looked like another pile of snow. "Reckon we could get him to jump?" She asked, indulging in the idea of how epic it would be for just a moment before lazily flicking her wand, no rush with it still a little ways off, "Bombarda!" Why couldn't all their classes deal with explosions? |
Post 1: Cris&Jasmine (catching up) Norah grinned and nodded at Cris's suggestion. Being a protector sounded COOL. She a strand of hair from her eyes and put her game face on. Very official, yep. Taking her wand out of her bag, she got into the carriage and prepared to |
Post 1: Deciding jobs + bridle Quote:
"Sure!" she said. Proooobably not the smartest decision, putting a young boy at the reigns of a horse, but why not? "I was thinking the Granian or whatever? I'm just going to put the bridle on, if that's okay." She stepped away from Kyroh and found a horse, then pointed her wand carefully at it, bridle in hand. "Fixate," she said somewhat loudly, then checked to make sure it was stuck to the horse all right. Which it was. She climbed in, gesturing to the seat for Kyroh. WOOT. |
Team: Marisol, Beverly & Cutty, Post 2 Quote:
And with the jolt of Beverly's speeding up, Cutty sat back and let the icey wind hit his face and muss his hair. He was going to look like a bird when they were done , but the thought was furthest from his mind. The excitement of gaining speed soothed that savage little beast and his mind drifted into a day dream. Text Cut: Cutty's Crazy Daydream Fantasy A chunk of snow from the snowball was tossed into his face and jolted him awake. "Bluugh!" He said looking a bit surprised as he had assumed Marisol would handle most of the work. "Incendio!" He said shooting fire at the next snowball heading their way and causing it to drip until a small splash was all that hit him. Their own speed matched with that of the flying snowballs, made the impact greater and the reaction time smaller. Best be on the lookout. |
Quote:
"I guess I'll go put the bridle on it while you pet it to calm it down?" he said while she was already petting it Bay pulled out his wand and Followed the Professor's instructions and traced it over the face while saying "Fixate" looking around he saw that it indeed had worked and he was successful on doing it. "now we just need to hook him up to the cart thingy?" did he say how much he really liked the idea of driving these things? |
Post 2: Cris and Jasmine (catching up) The wind whipped her hair around wildly as the huge horses pulled Norah, Cris, and Jasmine forward. Her grip on her wand had started to slacken as her fingers grew numb when suddenly something came hurtling at the side of her face. A very, very cold something. Shaking her head to get rid of the ice, she pointed her wand frantically at the flying objects and yelled "Reducto! Reducto!" executing the sideways V-formation. Take that, snowball! She grinned proudly at her handiwork and nodded in answer to Jasmine's question of her wellbeing. Okay? She was AWESOME! |
Post 6: Jasmine and Norah SPOILER!!: Jasmine SPOILER!!: Norah Cris could now see the finishing line up ahead and pointed it out to his team mates. "Jasmine, Norah, we're nearing the finishing line. It looks like we have a clear path towards it," Cris called out to both girls. He had seen Adi and his friend cross the finishing line and he was happy for them. With luck, they'd do the same in a few minutes too. .....and then out of nowhere...or rather it was there all along, only he didn't see it until the last minute. There it was....another wall of ice. This one looked thicker than the rest they had encountered. "Jasmine, look out for that wall!! Norah, concentrate on bringing that wall down. We need to take it down, or it'll take us down, " Cris called out to both Jasmine and Norah as he whipped out his wand. As the wall approached quickly, Cris slowly got up from his seat and stood up facing it. He concentrated hard on the spell he was going to cast and then he unleashed it. Pointing his wand at the wall of ice, Cris called out, "Bombarda Maxima!!" A bright strong beam of light shot out from his wand and flew straight towards the ice wall. Come on...come on...come on...Cris whispered to himself... .....and BOOM!! the spell hit the wall and totally demolished it, sending ice flying every which way. "Head for the finishing line, Jasmine," Cris called out to Jasmine as he cast the Reductor spell at the smaller bits of ice, breaking them into smaller bits of ice that just sprinkled over them as they rode past in the carriage. "Run Fast, Abe!! Run True!!" Cris whooped out. |
Post 4 Quote:
UGH PAIN. "Reckon we better not. Can you try to blow those up out of his line of sight?" Mo let go of one of the reins to rub his shoulder and the carriage veered again, causing him to scrabble for the dropped rein. "You're a good partner." Surprisingly. |
Post 2 Quote:
That had seemed like even more of a good idea as he’d signaled their horse to go, and Gray had jumped forward like a shot. They’d definitely chosen right if they wanted to go for speed. She’d grasped the edge of the carriage as they’d sped forward, making sure she kept hold of her wand as well. It wouldn’t have been very good if she lost that right as they started, since that would have made it difficult to get rid of snow and everything. At least, she wasn’t about to sabotage the other two carriages as they’d pulled up alongside them, and she’d waved as Ethan had greeted those inside. She was keeping her voice for casting. Power would be good here, especially not knowing what was planned. So far, nothing seemed to be appearing, yet she’d peered ahead as her partner had spoken again. “I see it,” she said, half-standing up as she pointed her wand over Gray’s back. “Bombarda!,” she cast, avoiding hitting their horse as the jet of light zoomed past to collide with the pile of icy snow up ahead. Now it was Ethan’s job to avoid the remnants. She was ready for whatever came next. |
Quote:
As she petted the horse, she watched him put on the bridal. "I can attach the horse to the carriage." It didn't seem that hard to do, and soon everything was ready. "We are good to go now!" Eagerly she climbed in and waited for him to join her. |
Post 2 :: Cutty + Marisol Text Cut: Cutty Riding at unrestricted speed was the BEST feeling ever; the wind in her face, her long hair billowing behind her. Maybe she should have tied it up, but whatever. Marisol and Cutty could so with some cherry blossom scented insulation. The obstacle course only made it better. Beverly jerked at the reins, getting the Granian to move to the right in order to avoid collision with another team. Unfortunately, that put them in the line of range of snowball fire. "Look ou--!" Just barely, she caught as a snowball hit Cutty square on his face. "Mordaunt! What are you doing, daydreaming?" Come on! Eyes on the road. This was a challenge, not a time to play around. |

Whoa! Okay. Abraxans and explosions did NOT go well together. This had become evident. It was almost the wrong day to wear a skirt. Almost. The Gryffindor still had some balance left about her, however little it was. Er....what? Lex hobbled back into her seat, trying to watch for obstacles again but Mo's question had her distracted. "I'm only incharge of things we might crash into. Can't crash into them unless they're infront of us....in his line of sight." Really it was a necessary evil. She couldn't wait until after they'd crashed to get rid of the obstacle. That wouldn't do them any good. Another shifting of the carriage sent her crashing into Mo...and what looked like a hurt shoulder but she quickly righted herself, grinning too because HE SAID SHE WAS A GOOD PARTNER. "You haven't gotten us killed yet, I'm inclined to say you too." Just ahead she saw another pile of snow, this one bigger and with a branch sticking from it. Forgetting she had a wand for a moment, she took hold of a part of the reigns and had the horse taken another turn so sharp she tumbled to the other end of the carriage. Where did that even come from??? |
post 1 Quote:
before he could even agree to her attaching the horse to the carriage she had already done it.. "you are reading my mind Cucumber" he said while laughing as she climbed in the carriage.. now it was his turn to act like a real life cow boy.. "I can do this" he told himself.. "Hold on okay… like grab the side with your free hand..just incase I can't steady it" he looked back at her to make sure she held on.. thats all he needed was for his driving to knock her out the carriage.. he would be the worst boyfriend on the planet… now was the time to start going "I'm ready" he said as he hopped up on the horse and sat down holding the straps of the bridle in his hands. Tightening his grip on the reins he yelled "YEEEEE HAWWWWWWW" and he flicked the reins to get the horsey to get a move on. Thankfully the horsey decided to listen to the commands and they were on their way. |
Post 6 Cris & Norah SPOILER!!: CrisQUOTE=FireboltAvis88;11621341 SPOILER!!: Norah Cris saw the finish line and so did Jasmine and Norah. Jasmine fixed her eyes on that line and headed toward it thankfully. She should have known better than to think it would be that easy. Suddenly, one last, mega-obstacle appeared before them. An iceberg big enough to sink the Titanic was blocking their path. There was virtually no way she could get around that thing so Jasmine had to rely on her protectors to take it out. Gripping the reins until her fingers were numb, Jasmine put her faith in Cris and Norah.......and they did not disappoint. When their spells hit the ice, the explosion was even bigger then the last one. "Whooo hoooo!, Jasmine screamed. "You guys did it! Come on my horse. Let's bring it home" The Abraxan responded and flew toward the finish line. "Go, go, go", she yelled. And at last the carriage crossed the finish line. They had done it. Jasmine couldn't wait to hug her teammates and her horse. They had all come through for her, for each other and it was fantastic |
Post 7: Jasmine and Norah As Cris watched the finishing line come close, he called out to Norah. "Keep casting those Reductor spells if you see any ice stones in front of Abe, Norah. I'll keep a look out here too," Cris called down at his young badger friend whom he had to say was doing an excellent job from where she was. Cris continued to clear the path for Abe, Jasmine and their carriage. Whenever he sighted a large stone of ice in Abe's way, he aimed his wand at it before waving it in a sideways V formation and calling out,"Reducto," at the same time. Boom!! there went one large stone of ice into smithereens. Boom! there went another...Boom...and another. The line was getting closer. Cris was glad that their race was coming to an end. He didn't know about Jasmine and Norah but he was starting to not only get tired but his face was beginning to feel numb from the cold. ...and then Jasmine brought them over the line. |
Post 1 Quote:
Grabbing onto the side with her free hand like he told her to, she looked out to see any incoming obstacles. A snow pile was getting closer and closer to them, so she blasted it with a good old, "INCENDIO!" BAM, it hadn't stood chance against her. "Haha, this is fuuuun!" Beam. |
