Alex stood in her little white rook square waaaaaiting for some action. A few people had made moves, but most of the action seemed to be at the other end of the board. It was tough being confined and confused. Note to self: Learn how to play chess this summer.

The Black team seemed content to chat argue amongst themselves while her team seemed to be randomly moving like crazy. Alex was forced to wait for direction from someone, but she hoped that she would get a chance to move sometime in the near future.

O_o the Professor said he could move, and that's what he did, taking one step to the square diagonally left of him. So what next? Capture someone diagonally to the left or right of him or move forward?

It seemed like the members on the black team were still trying to figure out which pieces they would be taking up so the square in front of him was empty. Looking around, Sander shrugged and stepped forward.

Wait! He had nowhere else to move. He had reached the other end of the board. That meant only one thing....

He was Safe...Touchdown...home free!! Sander did a little jig on the square.

Did that mean he could rest now? Sander decided he would wait for his team mates to catch up with him. So he sat down on the square and waited.

Bay was so glad he didn't have to be stuck behind these unmoving pawns right now.. Bay jumped over the one directly in front of him and moved up two spaces… smiling he was now out in the open.. he hoped that no one wanted to take out a Rook… looking around nervously seeing if anyone had that idea!!!!

maybe he should have stayed in his safe little corner!!!!! eeeepppp nervous!!!!

Oichi really was not sure what was going on, all she could tell was that students were separating by houses and she followed hers. She then saw students moving to different squares and followed suit meandering ditzy like over the squares. She was way out of it but she was having fun and actually felt happy for the first time since the crazy aging condition.

Ella had no idea what was happening, mostly because no one was moving in turn and people were just kind of going rogue. It was amusing to watch, actually. She especially liked queen Alice barking orders to the black side. The Head Girl was curious if she'd go as far as to bite her pieces if they didn't do as she said. Heh. History was fun.

And since people were doing as they pleased, Ella decided she'd just sort of stand by and keep an eye on the white queen and king. Royal sitting, that's what she was doing if anybody asked. Important job, this was. And if anyone tried to go for the king, she'd threaten mean letters and no gummy worm sharing for the rest of term. YUP. Scary stuff. See? She could totally work in a palace. She was ace at keeping watch.

...And she should totally make her own version of chess. This strategy clearly made the most sense. Clearly.
