...Well this was unexpected.

Penelope would've tried to help in some way, but some students were already over by Flamsteed and trying to help or something, and three students had already left to get the Healer. She wasn't sure three was necessary, but whatever they wanted to do. There wasn't much else she could do until the Healer came and fixed him or gave them instructions on how they could help if they could or anything, so she remained in her seat and watched silently.

TeafortheSoul 01-24-2014 08:32 PM

Aww man really? In the middle of class? Couldn't Flammy have broken afterward? Sigh. West didn't run off or anything since in the chaos a bunch of people had done that, and someone sent a patronus (though he didn't get why anyone would summon Truebridge over Tillstorm), instead he just sat and directed his attention to Alec.

The Headmistress had been called? Alec... wasn't sure if that was needed but sure. Yeah. Maybe she'd be able to help somehow or stay with Flamsteed if the man needed to be kept in the Hospital Wing. "Thanks," Nod. And smiles were given to people who were sitting down because... hey, they had listened to him and they could probably use some good vibes in here, yeah?

Maybe they could all do something to make sure everyone's... okay afterwards. Hot chocolate? ... He didn't know.

... And... there were more people crowding him. That was the exact opposite of what he had asked everyone to do. Alec closed his eyes and took a deep breath before opening them again. "Okay, if you're NOT a medical professional and you're standing near the Professor, can you take FIVE LARGE steps AWAY from him. Or better yet, take a seat. ... Please. And don't touch his back, okay?"

As for the heat pack situation, the Head Boy furrowed his brows a little before turning towards the Slytherin. "I... I admire your willingness to help. Really. I think it's awesome. And... I like the idea of a heat pack but..." He glanced over at the man quickly. "... we don't know where exactly the pain is coming from. And... applying one might mean that we'd have to touch his back which... I don't think any of us should do." ... Pause. "If you can conjure one out of thin air, that'd be great." And impressive. There was no way he could do something like that.

... Gwen bolted out of the door too. For the Healer? Okay. Awesome.

"Alec." He said calmly, but loudly enough. "We should at least move a chair close enough to him to lean on, to help support him. It won't be interfering with whatever cracked, but it will at least help take the pressure off if Flammy can lean on it."

And that was all West had to say. Nod. Flammy could lean on the back of a chair instead of being hunched over unsupported like that.

Bart was just glazed over everything was confusing him in this class and he just didn't understand any of it, but he still wasn't opening his book. He just sat there tapping his desk and looking at it. That was until he heard a loud cracking noise and looked up. What was going on with the professor all bent over, it was weird wasn't it. Now this was interesting.

Watching

Bart watched as the scene just kept getting better. "I'm pretty sure he asked for the healer not the headmistress." Did the dude not hear Professor Flamedude, what was the headmistress going to do? This was so not her job to come heal a professor. The second year chuckled to himself watching everyone else act all weird and freaked out. They were wizards easy fix with a potion or spell he'd be fine.

and look Wade's boyfriend had everything under control so everyone just needed to calm down. Another chuckled happened when the claw took off out the door, didn't Caleb already go get the healer? Did anyone know what they were doing around here?

Awarlesta Black 01-24-2014 08:39 PM

Awar stifled a laugh. Aw man. The professor didn't seem that old, but looked like age was taking a toll on him. She shouldn't be finding this funny really. He seemed so much in pain. Maybe he just has a bad mattress he's being sleeping on or something. She sat back in her seat as she watched her classmates either swarm around or stay frozen still in one spot.

SarcasticStrawberry 01-24-2014 08:59 PM

Asher just watched as pure chaos broke out. Yes, that crack did not sound good. At all. He stayed in his seat. Nearly everyone was freaking out. Mostly the younger students. He sat in his seat. No sense in getting up and adding to the crowd that was already around the professor. And three people had left to go get the healer.

Alec. was. taking. charge. Though. Go bro

Seriously none of them were healers so everyone should back away and set down. He watched Alec raise his voice again. "Hey you lot, listen to the head boy, and get back in your seats. None of you are healers.." He rolled his eyes his sister was a healer. And one thing he know from her was the back was a very important body part and easily messed up.

The seventh year heard West talking to Alec. "Summers, Odessa got a point. If he just used it to hold himself up. " They could let him if students give him some room.

Did the Slytherin hear laughing with all of this going on? He turned to the source of laughing. "Do you think this is funny?" He glared. Really so people had the nerve. And no respect.

Hearing the sound of a voice calling his name, Alec turned his head and looked over at the Slytherin Captain. Move a chair? He glanced over at his own chair that he had abandoned and then back at West. Dude had a point. A smart point, and one that Asher seemed to agree with. Alec nodded. "Thanks for the suggestion."

... Pause.

"I'll hold onto his arm and... do you think you can conjure one? Or bring my one over?" He nodded over at his desk on the other side of the classroom where the abandoned chair was currently laying on the floor from when he had gotten up. "Set it up in front of him so that he can hold on easily without moving too much.'" Not that West probably needed to be told that.

... And everyone was still calm, right? Yeah?

West glanced at Asher and nodded then returned his attention to Alec. Yeah. Alright.

He stood up and took Alec's chair, lifting it from the ground as easily as anything, and then moved over to Flammy, and Alec of course.

"Hey Flammy. Got this chair for you to lean on a bit, just to take the pressure off, yeah?" He put the chair down and eased it forward, close enough that the professor could lean on the back of it if he liked. It was at the right height after all.

Was the rude boy addressing him? Sander thought to himself. "I know that Professor Flamsteed asked for the Healer and someone was already headed off to do that. I sent for the Headmistress because as the head of this school, she has a right to know what is happening in it, including the welfare of her staff." Sander explained his reason...not that he needed to....especially not to this kid. But he wanted to let the other students, who may be also wondering, why he had done what he did.

Sander wanted to add, at least I have respect for the staff here unlike you, but he forced himself to turn around and ignore the boy.

Mell 01-24-2014 09:52 PM

It's not that Michael didn't want to help out but it seemed that the Head Boy had it under control as he should. So Mikey stayed in his seat and out of everyone's way and picked up his Astronomy text book.

May as well learn something while the chaos was being attended to.

Although he could not help but hear some of the students begin to bicker between themselves and he lowered his book a little and looked between the two Hufflepuffs (Sander and Awarlesta) and the Slytherin (Asher) and his fellow housemate (Bart). "I don't think arguing amongst ourselves is going to help any." Just sayin.

..

...

...

One minute Airey was giving her looks which were returned, mind you, and the next the poor man's back sounded as if it'd snapped in half. The head girl was tempted to look around for the sudden appearance of the groundskeeper cause y'know, dude was HUGE, but she knew he wasn't lurking anywhere.

And then lots of things happened. People were going to get the healer even though only one needed to go. Ella wasn't going to argue, whatever floated their boat. The next someone was getting the Headmistress. ...Okay. And Alec Blake Hair Whipper Summers was wearing the pants. The metaphorical ones cause y'know, of course he was wearing real pants already. Proud girlfriend was proud.

Too many cooks in the kitchen was never a good thing so Ella kept her comments to herself, merely moving to stand by the front of the desks to shoo anyone back who tried to make a run for it. Alec was handling everything well and West was being really helpful so there wasn't much else they could do but wait.

Airey would be fine. He had to be.

Bazinga 01-24-2014 10:15 PM

Bart laughed, he laughed harder and harder. Not at Flamedude nope not at all, he liked the professor and he wanted to learn more awesome dance moves from the man. No it was the idiot seventh year that seemed to think people cared what he did. No one cared really dude, no one. "Right someone already got the healer and if my eyes are correct and well." He looked up front, "Yep they are. People with badges are in charge right now asking us to sit and be patient not jump to prove that you can do a patronous and send one to the headmistress who you know is running the entire school and really doesn't need a play by play about everything."

He glanced back to Flamedude again, "Welfare of her staff, he hurt his back he's not dead. Nothing a potion isn't going to fix pretty quick really. So I think she would be fine letting the healer take this one so she could deal with something else." Bart rolled his eyes and leaned back in his chair. "Seems to me you just have to pretend your in charge even though you clearly aren't." He laughed again, "That is unless you are one of those people that have to owl their mummy's every time you fart the wrong way." Was he?

He heard someone else's voice and turned to see Mikey, "Sup Mikey" He wasn't arguing he was pointing things out. Turning back he watched as the badged people did their job.

Lexers 01-24-2014 10:27 PM

OH MY MERHLIN.

Was it his fault?

It WAS. He'd been the one Professor Airey had been talking to before he'd.. combusted? Cracked? It sounded an awful lot like his entire back had sort of decided to collapse on itself. WHAT? That sounded terrible. Lucas shivered and while he had aspirations to be a healer one day THAT DID NOT INCLUDE KNOWING WHAT TO DO IN SITUATIONS LIKE THIS.

Nonetheless, he didn't make a sound and just sat eyeing the prefects and elder students as they fussed.

They looked like they knew what they were doing. UH HUH.

Sander turned to the older lion and smiled. "I wasn't arguing with Bart. I was just explaining to him why I sent for the Headmistress." he told Michael. Just like he was doing now with him. A simple conversation. Nothing more nothing less.

Then just so no one else decided to point out what the difference between arguing and explaining was, he opened his textbook and buried his head in it. Meaning don't talk to him unless it was something important.

Sander couldn't understand why he was feeling grumpy all of a sudden. He just felt this wave hit him and now he was in a foul mood.

She'd perked up a little when her answer FINALLY got her the slight amount of praise she'd been vying for all lesson long, directing her attention to note taking afterwards. Yep. HUDF.YD3. The things she didn't know about it were listed on her parchment under some random comments Airey had made about the inflationary epo-

.... what in Merlin's soggy britches was that noise?

Alice lifted her head only to be greeted with the boisterous commotion of a class gone haywire. Kids rushing out the door for the healer, yelling, arguing, Head Boy-ing... was that a patronus? Seemed like Alec had it all under control... which was really refreshing, actually. She'd never witnessed him taking charge like that, and to assist him in his leadership, the Gryffindor Captain helpfully gave looks to the kids ignoring him. Yep. Amazing student leader over here.

Was Aireyhead going to be okay?

Well so much for trying to be mature.

The moment he caught Bart's last comment to the Hufflepuff had him bursting into laughter which he tried to pass off as a coughing fit and putting his hand over his mouth.

That was the funniest thing he had heard in a while.

"Hey Bart." He managed to get out after his laugh/cough had subsided. "Never a dull moment, eh?" Especially in this class/

Not that Michael would have known what to say to the older Hufflepuff, he didn't get the chance to say anything anyway. Seeing how the guy just decided to shove his head in his book with a sour look on his face.

He raised his eyebrows for a moment before looking over to Bart and then snickering again.

Fart the wrong way.

It still made him laugh.

SPOILER!!: professor
"A very good question," he grinned at the boy as he reached to pull his wand out of his breast pocket to conjure up a model, but instead managed to drop it on the floor. "Galaxies are systems comprised of millions or billions of stars and these stars each have their own luminosity. For us on earth, the relative magnitude of the star's luminosity are what make things appear bright and not so bright. Some galaxies are close enough that we can see them with the naked eye when we look up at the night sky. Others, however are soooooooooooooooo far away...." he explained as he bent over to pick up his wand when....

*CRACK* *POP*

The professor froze in his hunched over position with his face frozen in a state of complete and utter pain. He hadn't even been able to utter any cry of pain as the shook and just how suddenly it had paralyzed his moments took the breath right out of him. He could hardly speak and moment of any sort was entirely out of the question. Worst of all, at least to him at that specific point in time, was the way that his wand was taunting him there. On the ground. Just out of his hands' reach.

"Someone....Healer..." he managed to gasp between electrifying jolts of pain up and down his spine.

Bay was listening to the professor when he heard some noises and thank goodness he was sitting fairly close to the front of the class thats when he heard him say healer?? really…oh wait.. somethings wrong. Bay ran up to the teacher and looked at his face.. Frozen…."Someone help the professor!!!!" Bay yelled. hoping someone would come or go get the healer.. he looked at the professor "its going to be alright"

he hoped.

HOPEendures 01-25-2014 01:04 AM

Hope had been peacefully taking notes and actively listening. When she looked up inspired by her Professors enthusiasm she was shocked when she watched him fall. She watched as some people ran off for the healer and others stood up and gathered around him. She just couldn't move. This was a little out of her range for the moment. However, that was her favorite professor there in pain. "Don't move him. It'll hurt more than help." At least, she assumed it would.

BanaBatGirl 01-25-2014 01:11 AM

pffffffft I would summon a Truebridge over a Tillstorm ANY DAY. ;)

"I'M HERE! I'm here I'm here I'm here," wheeeeeeeeeze, "where's the emergency?" The redheaded Headmistress burst into the Astronomy classroom and immediately bent in half, her hands grabbing at a stitch in her side. WOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEE she had run ALL THE WAY HERE from Sophia's office. A WHOLE FLOOR.

They should be proud of her sacrifice for the astronut. "What's he doing on the floor? Did someone finally knock Flamsteed out?" Bunz continued her wheezing and looking up from her half-bent position.

"Gryffindors broke them with all their sass," Mo offered helpfully from his seat. Because, y'know... he followed directions. And also because he'd banged his knee trying to get up to help and now he thought maybe he was gonna have to live in this seat forever.

The knee was done. Forever. Dramatic sigh.

"And, y'know..." Mo glanced at those nearby who were bickering with each other. In CLASS, for shame. "Those of us who aren't actively helping should probably just shut up."

Oh, the Headmistress was here? When had anyone asked for her? Wasn't it a Healer they were looking for? Adrienne wasn't sure, but she figured she may as well try to help anyway. "He bent over and then there was this awful cracking noise and he asked for a Healer," she volunteered, standing up again. She wasn't sure how the Headmistress would be able to help, but then, for all she knew, she was an accomplished Healer as well as able to run a school, so she could be useful.

AHHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHA!

No, that was not done out loud. It was a thought. A laugh inside her head, if you will. Nevertheless, Sophie had an answer to that last question. "Nobody did it to him," she said. "Or at least I don't think so." She sort of looked around the room. Nobody had cast on him, hmm? She'd put her galleons on Cutty Mordaunt, if so.

So anyway, like she'd said a few minutes ago... "It was just Big Bang one minute then Back Bang the next," she continued. "It was just...teach, teach, teach, and then...a loud wail, and then...well, THAT."

True story, dude.

Sophie wasn't bickering for once, but she wasn't exactly actively helping either. She gave the captain a nod then leaned back in her chair.

FearlessLeader19 01-25-2014 01:47 AM

Ah good. The Headmistress was here. Not that Super Seeker Alec was doing a bad job but she would know what to do to help poor Flamsteed. Adi hoped nothing was going to be permanently wrong with the man. He eyed Truebridge. Poor woman. She needed more exercise. But he couldn't help grinning when she asked if someone finally knocked him out. And at Sophie's Back Bang answer.

Sander had come up with a good idea. Maybe Truebridge had some tricks up her sleeve to make this right. He flashed the older guy a thumbs up and a smile before doing the same for Alec. Now, someone fix the always happy go lucky Professor!

Deezerz 01-25-2014 01:59 AM

Heh. He smiled at her. Again.

Hehe. Heh.

She was so not mentally giggling at this, but Professor Airey had a nice smile, he did. After he walked pass her, Bev reminded herself about note taking. Right. Notes. They came in handy.

Finishing writing what sounded most important, she lowered her quill and clasped her hands under her chin and gazed payed attention to Professor Airey. He was talking about galaxies and then...

O___________________O

He froze at a strange angle. For a moment there she thought someone might have shot a spell at him. But...no student would attack their professor, right? ESPECIALLY AIREY.

Oh, why wasn't he moving? Was he really that old to get his back stuck?

Biting on the inside of her cheek, Bev did as the Head Boy instructed and stayed in her seat. Was Airey going to be okay? There was no hidden Dark Wizard in the classroom whom incapacitated their professor and was now looking for a new victim?

Her thoughts got the best of her. Bev sat down, and tried to seem as small as she possibly could. Dark Wizard could hex anyone he wanted, but not her.

She jumped a little when a woman, the Headmistress, rushed in. THEY WERE SAVED. THANK MERLIN. T___T

Tessa looked up as the Headmistress entered the room. Okay, at least an adult was here- and being the Headmistress, Tessa would bet that she at least had a decent understanding of Healing- even if she wasn't the healer. Generally, those in charge of a school knew a lot.

Others around her described the occurrence and she nodded in agreement. "Headmistress, just let us know if you need a hand with anything," she offered. After all, how many times had she bandaged herself up during her own Quidditch training? Plenty. Nothing phased her any more. However, until she asked for help, Tessa was going to remain out of the way- sometimes that was the best help to be given.

He seemed like he'd do his bit to be helpful if someone else took charge and told him what to do. It just so happened that Ana would be that person.

He couldn't make any sort of verbal response to the Slytherin, nor could he really move his arm to indicated just where it was that the pain was centralized. It just seemed to be all over at the moment anyway.

He did manage to shake his head at the sitting down option. Moving wasn't exactly within his capabilities at the moment.

NO SHUT UP THAT NEVER HAPPENED WHEN SHE BENT. Astrid was mentally freaking out right now. "Professor? Are you okay?" STARE. She was so staring. And yeah, totally nervous and scared. Astrid bent down and tried to help her Professor up. "Let me help you up, Professor."

.................................................. .. WIBBLE. Not funny. AND HEALER, HELLO? SOMEONE CAPABLE OF PATRONUS-ING, PLEASE?

He attempted to smile at Miss Asteroid, but the smile ended up resembling like one a troll would give after stepping on something unpleasant. "Be...fine....old....astronaut....injury," he managed to sit out. He was able to somewhat move his hand to wave her off. Chances were he would lean a bit too much on her and make both of them fall over.

He shook his head at the Gryffindor prefect. He didn't even have his wand in his hand at the moment. Bloody thing staring back up at him from the floor like that.

Caleb knew he could get there faster than any patronus could. He was young and agile, so he was obviously the best man for this job.

Why was no one MOVING?

"I'm going to get the Healer!" he announced before jumping up and running out of the room.

Hearing that someone had run to get the Healer made him feel a bit more relaxed - although he feared what state Cece would be in once she arrived since this was not within her normal working hours. Night lesson and all that. Still, a hissing snake Healer was better than no Healer at all.

He was thankful that Mr. Summers had stepped up to help keep some sort of control in the classroom. The last thing the man needed right now was everyone crowding and running around in a panic. He attempted to give the boy a thumbs up when he spoke to him and felt the tiniest tinge of guilt over taking points away from the boy only moments earlier for calling him sire. Probably would have apologized then and there had it not been for another Hufflepuff boy telling him something that made him freeze and tense up even more.

But before he did that he pointed his wand out, thought of Tessa and called out,"Expecto Patronum!". Immediately a glowing light streamed out from his wand and it soon formed a stag which immediately galloped out of the classroom.

"I've sent a message to the Headmistress." he told the Headboy. Now he could and sit down.

Oh. Sweet. Solstice.

He didn't.

But then the professor saw the back end of a patronus leaving the classroom and knew that it was the truth. The Headmistress had been summoned. He now felt exponentially worse.

Airey chuckled and then howled in pain again like a werewolf during a full moon. Oh students, don't make him laugh right now. His blue eyes managed to look over at Mr. Lecium when he spoke, reminding the man not to move. Well, good thing movement wasn't something he could really do right now, right? Although all the blood was starting to rush to his had and making him feel rather dizzy and nauseous.

SPOILER!!: Drama llamas XD Bart & Sander & Mikey

Was the rude boy addressing him? Sander thought to himself. "I know that Professor Flamsteed asked for the Healer and someone was already headed off to do that. I sent for the Headmistress because as the head of this school, she has a right to know what is happening in it, including the welfare of her staff." Sander explained his reason...not that he needed to....especially not to this kid. But he wanted to let the other students, who may be also wondering, why he had done what he did.

Sander wanted to add, at least I have respect for the staff here unlike you, but he forced himself to turn around and ignore the boy.

Merlin...could they not? Airey was in no state to say or do anything to stop the seventh year and second year bickering with one another, he was a little relieved when Mr. Toussaint stepped in and attempted to keep the peace and avoid further conflict. He gave all three boys a look when he was able to slightly lift his head enough to do so. The astronomer would have rather not called the Headmistress to his classroom and just have the Healer come, but it was over and done now so there was no sense it making such a big thing out of it.

WOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEE she had run ALL THE WAY HERE from Sophia's office. A WHOLE FLOOR.

They should be proud of her sacrifice for the astronut. "What's he doing on the floor? Did someone finally knock Flamsteed out?" Bunz continued her wheezing and looking up from her half-bent position.

...............................................

Airey's body tensed up a bit more, sending another jolt of pain up and down his spin. Mr. Branxton got a quick look of mild dismay and amusement for his comment on Gryffindors, but his attention quickly went back to the Headmistress as he tried to turn his head so he could see her better. Well, this was just awkward. But at least since the woman was hunched over he was not looking up her nose or anything.

"Head....mis...tress....g-g-good .... ev-evening," he greeted her through gritted teeth.
SPOILER!!: West & Alec & Asher <3

Aww man really? In the middle of class? Couldn't Flammy have broken afterward? Sigh. West didn't run off or anything since in the chaos a bunch of people had done that, and someone sent a patronus (though he didn't get why anyone would summon Truebridge over Tillstorm), instead he just sat and directed his attention to Alec.

Yeah?

Hearing Mr. Odessa offering him a chair, he bowed his head as he held on to the Head Boy's arm for support as he slooooooooowly maneuvered himself so he could hold onto the chair instead of his student. He managed a weak smile at all three of the boys before he took several baby steps to position his feet close enough to the chair to think about sitting down.

...

Which definitely was not going to happen seeing as he yelped with pain when he tried to. "I'll...just stay....s-s-standing for now," he nodded as he hunched over the chair. He winced a bit more when another student asked the Headmistress if there was anything she could do to help.

HE WAS DOOMED!

Oh sweet sweet sweeeeeeeeeeeet solstice let Cece show up soon.
