...Well this was unexpected.

Penelope would've tried to help in some way, but some students were already over by Flamsteed and trying to help or something, and three students had already left to get the Healer. She wasn't sure three was necessary, but whatever they wanted to do. There wasn't much else she could do until the Healer came and fixed him or gave them instructions on how they could help if they could or anything, so she remained in her seat and watched silently.

TeafortheSoul 01-24-2014 08:32 PM

Aww man really? In the middle of class? Couldn't Flammy have broken afterward? Sigh. West didn't run off or anything since in the chaos a bunch of people had done that, and someone sent a patronus (though he didn't get why anyone would summon Truebridge over Tillstorm), instead he just sat and directed his attention to Alec.

The Headmistress had been called? Alec... wasn't sure if that was needed but sure. Yeah. Maybe she'd be able to help somehow or stay with Flamsteed if the man needed to be kept in the Hospital Wing. "Thanks," Nod. And smiles were given to people who were sitting down because... hey, they had listened to him and they could probably use some good vibes in here, yeah?

Maybe they could all do something to make sure everyone's... okay afterwards. Hot chocolate? ... He didn't know.

... And... there were more people crowding him. That was the exact opposite of what he had asked everyone to do. Alec closed his eyes and took a deep breath before opening them again. "Okay, if you're NOT a medical professional and you're standing near the Professor, can you take FIVE LARGE steps AWAY from him. Or better yet, take a seat. ... Please. And don't touch his back, okay?"

As for the heat pack situation, the Head Boy furrowed his brows a little before turning towards the Slytherin. "I... I admire your willingness to help. Really. I think it's awesome. And... I like the idea of a heat pack but..." He glanced over at the man quickly. "... we don't know where exactly the pain is coming from. And... applying one might mean that we'd have to touch his back which... I don't think any of us should do." ... Pause. "If you can conjure one out of thin air, that'd be great." And impressive. There was no way he could do something like that.

... Gwen bolted out of the door too. For the Healer? Okay. Awesome.

"Alec." He said calmly, but loudly enough. "We should at least move a chair close enough to him to lean on, to help support him. It won't be interfering with whatever cracked, but it will at least help take the pressure off if Flammy can lean on it."

And that was all West had to say. Nod. Flammy could lean on the back of a chair instead of being hunched over unsupported like that.

Bart was just glazed over everything was confusing him in this class and he just didn't understand any of it, but he still wasn't opening his book. He just sat there tapping his desk and looking at it. That was until he heard a loud cracking noise and looked up. What was going on with the professor all bent over, it was weird wasn't it. Now this was interesting.

Watching

Bart watched as the scene just kept getting better. "I'm pretty sure he asked for the healer not the headmistress." Did the dude not hear Professor Flamedude, what was the headmistress going to do? This was so not her job to come heal a professor. The second year chuckled to himself watching everyone else act all weird and freaked out. They were wizards easy fix with a potion or spell he'd be fine.

and look Wade's boyfriend had everything under control so everyone just needed to calm down. Another chuckled happened when the claw took off out the door, didn't Caleb already go get the healer? Did anyone know what they were doing around here?

Awarlesta Black 01-24-2014 08:39 PM

Awar stifled a laugh. Aw man. The professor didn't seem that old, but looked like age was taking a toll on him. She shouldn't be finding this funny really. He seemed so much in pain. Maybe he just has a bad mattress he's being sleeping on or something. She sat back in her seat as she watched her classmates either swarm around or stay frozen still in one spot.

SarcasticStrawberry 01-24-2014 08:59 PM

Asher just watched as pure chaos broke out. Yes, that crack did not sound good. At all. He stayed in his seat. Nearly everyone was freaking out. Mostly the younger students. He sat in his seat. No sense in getting up and adding to the crowd that was already around the professor. And three people had left to go get the healer.

Alec. was. taking. charge. Though. Go bro

Seriously none of them were healers so everyone should back away and set down. He watched Alec raise his voice again. "Hey you lot, listen to the head boy, and get back in your seats. None of you are healers.." He rolled his eyes his sister was a healer. And one thing he know from her was the back was a very important body part and easily messed up.

The seventh year heard West talking to Alec. "Summers, Odessa got a point. If he just used it to hold himself up. " They could let him if students give him some room.

Did the Slytherin hear laughing with all of this going on? He turned to the source of laughing. "Do you think this is funny?" He glared. Really so people had the nerve. And no respect.

Hearing the sound of a voice calling his name, Alec turned his head and looked over at the Slytherin Captain. Move a chair? He glanced over at his own chair that he had abandoned and then back at West. Dude had a point. A smart point, and one that Asher seemed to agree with. Alec nodded. "Thanks for the suggestion."

... Pause.

"I'll hold onto his arm and... do you think you can conjure one? Or bring my one over?" He nodded over at his desk on the other side of the classroom where the abandoned chair was currently laying on the floor from when he had gotten up. "Set it up in front of him so that he can hold on easily without moving too much.'" Not that West probably needed to be told that.

... And everyone was still calm, right? Yeah?

West glanced at Asher and nodded then returned his attention to Alec. Yeah. Alright.

He stood up and took Alec's chair, lifting it from the ground as easily as anything, and then moved over to Flammy, and Alec of course.

"Hey Flammy. Got this chair for you to lean on a bit, just to take the pressure off, yeah?" He put the chair down and eased it forward, close enough that the professor could lean on the back of it if he liked. It was at the right height after all.

Was the rude boy addressing him? Sander thought to himself. "I know that Professor Flamsteed asked for the Healer and someone was already headed off to do that. I sent for the Headmistress because as the head of this school, she has a right to know what is happening in it, including the welfare of her staff." Sander explained his reason...not that he needed to....especially not to this kid. But he wanted to let the other students, who may be also wondering, why he had done what he did.

Sander wanted to add, at least I have respect for the staff here unlike you, but he forced himself to turn around and ignore the boy.

Mell 01-24-2014 09:52 PM

It's not that Michael didn't want to help out but it seemed that the Head Boy had it under control as he should. So Mikey stayed in his seat and out of everyone's way and picked up his Astronomy text book.

May as well learn something while the chaos was being attended to.

Although he could not help but hear some of the students begin to bicker between themselves and he lowered his book a little and looked between the two Hufflepuffs (Sander and Awarlesta) and the Slytherin (Asher) and his fellow housemate (Bart). "I don't think arguing amongst ourselves is going to help any." Just sayin.

..

...

...

One minute Airey was giving her looks which were returned, mind you, and the next the poor man's back sounded as if it'd snapped in half. The head girl was tempted to look around for the sudden appearance of the groundskeeper cause y'know, dude was HUGE, but she knew he wasn't lurking anywhere.

And then lots of things happened. People were going to get the healer even though only one needed to go. Ella wasn't going to argue, whatever floated their boat. The next someone was getting the Headmistress. ...Okay. And Alec Blake Hair Whipper Summers was wearing the pants. The metaphorical ones cause y'know, of course he was wearing real pants already. Proud girlfriend was proud.

Too many cooks in the kitchen was never a good thing so Ella kept her comments to herself, merely moving to stand by the front of the desks to shoo anyone back who tried to make a run for it. Alec was handling everything well and West was being really helpful so there wasn't much else they could do but wait.

Airey would be fine. He had to be.

Bazinga 01-24-2014 10:15 PM

Bart laughed, he laughed harder and harder. Not at Flamedude nope not at all, he liked the professor and he wanted to learn more awesome dance moves from the man. No it was the idiot seventh year that seemed to think people cared what he did. No one cared really dude, no one. "Right someone already got the healer and if my eyes are correct and well." He looked up front, "Yep they are. People with badges are in charge right now asking us to sit and be patient not jump to prove that you can do a patronous and send one to the headmistress who you know is running the entire school and really doesn't need a play by play about everything."

He glanced back to Flamedude again, "Welfare of her staff, he hurt his back he's not dead. Nothing a potion isn't going to fix pretty quick really. So I think she would be fine letting the healer take this one so she could deal with something else." Bart rolled his eyes and leaned back in his chair. "Seems to me you just have to pretend your in charge even though you clearly aren't." He laughed again, "That is unless you are one of those people that have to owl their mummy's every time you fart the wrong way." Was he?

He heard someone else's voice and turned to see Mikey, "Sup Mikey" He wasn't arguing he was pointing things out. Turning back he watched as the badged people did their job.

Lexers 01-24-2014 10:27 PM

OH MY MERHLIN.

Was it his fault?

It WAS. He'd been the one Professor Airey had been talking to before he'd.. combusted? Cracked? It sounded an awful lot like his entire back had sort of decided to collapse on itself. WHAT? That sounded terrible. Lucas shivered and while he had aspirations to be a healer one day THAT DID NOT INCLUDE KNOWING WHAT TO DO IN SITUATIONS LIKE THIS.

Nonetheless, he didn't make a sound and just sat eyeing the prefects and elder students as they fussed.

They looked like they knew what they were doing. UH HUH.

Sander turned to the older lion and smiled. "I wasn't arguing with Bart. I was just explaining to him why I sent for the Headmistress." he told Michael. Just like he was doing now with him. A simple conversation. Nothing more nothing less.

Then just so no one else decided to point out what the difference between arguing and explaining was, he opened his textbook and buried his head in it. Meaning don't talk to him unless it was something important.

Sander couldn't understand why he was feeling grumpy all of a sudden. He just felt this wave hit him and now he was in a foul mood.

She'd perked up a little when her answer FINALLY got her the slight amount of praise she'd been vying for all lesson long, directing her attention to note taking afterwards. Yep. HUDF.YD3. The things she didn't know about it were listed on her parchment under some random comments Airey had made about the inflationary epo-

.... what in Merlin's soggy britches was that noise?

Alice lifted her head only to be greeted with the boisterous commotion of a class gone haywire. Kids rushing out the door for the healer, yelling, arguing, Head Boy-ing... was that a patronus? Seemed like Alec had it all under control... which was really refreshing, actually. She'd never witnessed him taking charge like that, and to assist him in his leadership, the Gryffindor Captain helpfully gave looks to the kids ignoring him. Yep. Amazing student leader over here.

Was Aireyhead going to be okay?

Well so much for trying to be mature.

The moment he caught Bart's last comment to the Hufflepuff had him bursting into laughter which he tried to pass off as a coughing fit and putting his hand over his mouth.

That was the funniest thing he had heard in a while.

"Hey Bart." He managed to get out after his laugh/cough had subsided. "Never a dull moment, eh?" Especially in this class/

Not that Michael would have known what to say to the older Hufflepuff, he didn't get the chance to say anything anyway. Seeing how the guy just decided to shove his head in his book with a sour look on his face.

He raised his eyebrows for a moment before looking over to Bart and then snickering again.

Fart the wrong way.

It still made him laugh.

SPOILER!!: professor
"A very good question," he grinned at the boy as he reached to pull his wand out of his breast pocket to conjure up a model, but instead managed to drop it on the floor. "Galaxies are systems comprised of millions or billions of stars and these stars each have their own luminosity. For us on earth, the relative magnitude of the star's luminosity are what make things appear bright and not so bright. Some galaxies are close enough that we can see them with the naked eye when we look up at the night sky. Others, however are soooooooooooooooo far away...." he explained as he bent over to pick up his wand when....

*CRACK* *POP*

The professor froze in his hunched over position with his face frozen in a state of complete and utter pain. He hadn't even been able to utter any cry of pain as the shook and just how suddenly it had paralyzed his moments took the breath right out of him. He could hardly speak and moment of any sort was entirely out of the question. Worst of all, at least to him at that specific point in time, was the way that his wand was taunting him there. On the ground. Just out of his hands' reach.

"Someone....Healer..." he managed to gasp between electrifying jolts of pain up and down his spine.

Bay was listening to the professor when he heard some noises and thank goodness he was sitting fairly close to the front of the class thats when he heard him say healer?? really…oh wait.. somethings wrong. Bay ran up to the teacher and looked at his face.. Frozen…."Someone help the professor!!!!" Bay yelled. hoping someone would come or go get the healer.. he looked at the professor "its going to be alright"

he hoped.

HOPEendures 01-25-2014 01:04 AM

Hope had been peacefully taking notes and actively listening. When she looked up inspired by her Professors enthusiasm she was shocked when she watched him fall. She watched as some people ran off for the healer and others stood up and gathered around him. She just couldn't move. This was a little out of her range for the moment. However, that was her favorite professor there in pain. "Don't move him. It'll hurt more than help." At least, she assumed it would.

BanaBatGirl 01-25-2014 01:11 AM

pffffffft I would summon a Truebridge over a Tillstorm ANY DAY. ;)

"I'M HERE! I'm here I'm here I'm here," wheeeeeeeeeze, "where's the emergency?" The redheaded Headmistress burst into the Astronomy classroom and immediately bent in half, her hands grabbing at a stitch in her side. WOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEE she had run ALL THE WAY HERE from Sophia's office. A WHOLE FLOOR.

They should be proud of her sacrifice for the astronut. "What's he doing on the floor? Did someone finally knock Flamsteed out?" Bunz continued her wheezing and looking up from her half-bent position.

"Gryffindors broke them with all their sass," Mo offered helpfully from his seat. Because, y'know... he followed directions. And also because he'd banged his knee trying to get up to help and now he thought maybe he was gonna have to live in this seat forever.

The knee was done. Forever. Dramatic sigh.

"And, y'know..." Mo glanced at those nearby who were bickering with each other. In CLASS, for shame. "Those of us who aren't actively helping should probably just shut up."

Oh, the Headmistress was here? When had anyone asked for her? Wasn't it a Healer they were looking for? Adrienne wasn't sure, but she figured she may as well try to help anyway. "He bent over and then there was this awful cracking noise and he asked for a Healer," she volunteered, standing up again. She wasn't sure how the Headmistress would be able to help, but then, for all she knew, she was an accomplished Healer as well as able to run a school, so she could be useful.

AHHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHA!

No, that was not done out loud. It was a thought. A laugh inside her head, if you will. Nevertheless, Sophie had an answer to that last question. "Nobody did it to him," she said. "Or at least I don't think so." She sort of looked around the room. Nobody had cast on him, hmm? She'd put her galleons on Cutty Mordaunt, if so.

So anyway, like she'd said a few minutes ago... "It was just Big Bang one minute then Back Bang the next," she continued. "It was just...teach, teach, teach, and then...a loud wail, and then...well, THAT."

True story, dude.

Sophie wasn't bickering for once, but she wasn't exactly actively helping either. She gave the captain a nod then leaned back in her chair.

FearlessLeader19 01-25-2014 01:47 AM

Ah good. The Headmistress was here. Not that Super Seeker Alec was doing a bad job but she would know what to do to help poor Flamsteed. Adi hoped nothing was going to be permanently wrong with the man. He eyed Truebridge. Poor woman. She needed more exercise. But he couldn't help grinning when she asked if someone finally knocked him out. And at Sophie's Back Bang answer.

Sander had come up with a good idea. Maybe Truebridge had some tricks up her sleeve to make this right. He flashed the older guy a thumbs up and a smile before doing the same for Alec. Now, someone fix the always happy go lucky Professor!

Deezerz 01-25-2014 01:59 AM

Heh. He smiled at her. Again.

Hehe. Heh.

She was so not mentally giggling at this, but Professor Airey had a nice smile, he did. After he walked pass her, Bev reminded herself about note taking. Right. Notes. They came in handy.

Finishing writing what sounded most important, she lowered her quill and clasped her hands under her chin and gazed payed attention to Professor Airey. He was talking about galaxies and then...

O___________________O

He froze at a strange angle. For a moment there she thought someone might have shot a spell at him. But...no student would attack their professor, right? ESPECIALLY AIREY.

Oh, why wasn't he moving? Was he really that old to get his back stuck?

Biting on the inside of her cheek, Bev did as the Head Boy instructed and stayed in her seat. Was Airey going to be okay? There was no hidden Dark Wizard in the classroom whom incapacitated their professor and was now looking for a new victim?

Her thoughts got the best of her. Bev sat down, and tried to seem as small as she possibly could. Dark Wizard could hex anyone he wanted, but not her.

She jumped a little when a woman, the Headmistress, rushed in. THEY WERE SAVED. THANK MERLIN. T___T

Tessa looked up as the Headmistress entered the room. Okay, at least an adult was here- and being the Headmistress, Tessa would bet that she at least had a decent understanding of Healing- even if she wasn't the healer. Generally, those in charge of a school knew a lot.

Others around her described the occurrence and she nodded in agreement. "Headmistress, just let us know if you need a hand with anything," she offered. After all, how many times had she bandaged herself up during her own Quidditch training? Plenty. Nothing phased her any more. However, until she asked for help, Tessa was going to remain out of the way- sometimes that was the best help to be given.

He seemed like he'd do his bit to be helpful if someone else took charge and told him what to do. It just so happened that Ana would be that person.

He couldn't make any sort of verbal response to the Slytherin, nor could he really move his arm to indicated just where it was that the pain was centralized. It just seemed to be all over at the moment anyway.

He did manage to shake his head at the sitting down option. Moving wasn't exactly within his capabilities at the moment.

.................................................. .. WIBBLE. Not funny. AND HEALER, HELLO? SOMEONE CAPABLE OF PATRONUS-ING, PLEASE?

He attempted to smile at Miss Asteroid, but the smile ended up resembling like one a troll would give after stepping on something unpleasant. "Be...fine....old....astronaut....injury," he managed to sit out. He was able to somewhat move his hand to wave her off. Chances were he would lean a bit too much on her and make both of them fall over.

Caleb knew he could get there faster than any patronus could. He was young and agile, so he was obviously the best man for this job.

Why was no one MOVING?

"I'm going to get the Healer!" he announced before jumping up and running out of the room.

Hearing that someone had run to get the Healer made him feel a bit more relaxed - although he feared what state Cece would be in once she arrived since this was not within her normal working hours. Night lesson and all that. Still, a hissing snake Healer was better than no Healer at all.

He was thankful that Mr. Summers had stepped up to help keep some sort of control in the classroom. The last thing the man needed right now was everyone crowding and running around in a panic. He attempted to give the boy a thumbs up when he spoke to him and felt the tiniest tinge of guilt over taking points away from the boy only moments earlier for calling him sire. Probably would have apologized then and there had it not been for another Hufflepuff boy telling him something that made him freeze and tense up even more.

"I've sent a message to the Headmistress." he told the Headboy. Now he could and sit down.

Oh. Sweet. Solstice.

He didn't.

But then the professor saw the back end of a patronus leaving the classroom and knew that it was the truth. The Headmistress had been summoned. He now felt exponentially worse.

I sent for the Headmistress because as the head of this school, she has a right to know what is happening in it, including the welfare of her staff." Sander explained his reason...not that he needed to....especially not to this kid. But he wanted to let the other students, who may be also wondering, why he had done what he did.

Sander wanted to add, at least I have respect for the staff here unlike you, but he forced himself to turn around and ignore the boy.

He looked up front, "Yep they are.

Merlin...could they not? Airey was in no state to say or do anything to stop the seventh year and second year bickering with one another, he was a little relieved when Mr. Toussaint stepped in and attempted to keep the peace and avoid further conflict. He gave all three boys a look when he was able to slightly lift his head enough to do so. The astronomer would have rather not called the Headmistress to his classroom and just have the Healer come, but it was over and done now so there was no sense it making such a big thing out of it.

Airey's body tensed up a bit more, sending another jolt of pain up and down his spin.

Alec. was. taking. charge. Though.

It was at the right height after all.

Yeah?

Hearing Mr. Odessa offering him a chair, he bowed his head as he held on to the Head Boy's arm for support as he slooooooooowly maneuvered himself so he could hold onto the chair instead of his student. He managed a weak smile at all three of the boys before he took several baby steps to position his feet close enough to the chair to think about sitting down.

...

Which definitely was not going to happen seeing as he yelped with pain when he tried to. "I'll...just stay....s-s-standing for now," he nodded as he hunched over the chair. He winced a bit more when another student asked the Headmistress if there was anything she could do to help.

HE WAS DOOMED!

Ohh no. No don't sit.

"Don't sit, Flammy. You'll do more damage, just lean on the back of it. Yeah like that, see that helps right? Takes some of the pressure off anyways." Nod. West stepped out of the way but stayed at hand in case he was needed for anything. But y'know. Grown up here now. Even if it wasn't Tillstorm... West looked at Headmistress Truebridge and waited for her to do something.

Poor Professor Flamsteed.

Lux felt so bad for him as she watched him suffer. Fortunately there were some students who were being helpful amid all the chaos, and soon the Headmistress was there and there was a chair for the man to lean against.

When the Headmistress guided Professor Flamsteed into the chair, she gasped. "Headmistress, are you sure that is a good idea if his back is really bad?" She bit her lip, thinking that it was probably one of the WORST things to do when someone had a back injury. But then, the Headmistress was smart enough to love Chocolate Frogs, and she DID run a school... so she had to be very smart.

Right?

hermionesclone 01-25-2014 03:40 AM

The Head Boy was grateful for the support. Really. Even if it was something as small as people staying seated and twiddling their thumbs. Something else he was grateful for was the help he was getting from Ells and Hulk and that Gryffindor boy (Mikey) telling people not to bicker. Good. And nobody else needed to--

... Someone else (Bay) was coming to the front. BLINK.

Before he knew it, a deep frown settled onto Alec's face. Had he not said, or shouted, twice for people to go back to their seats? ... Deep breaths, Summers. "Hey, erm... hey!" What was the boy's name? "I... get that you're concerned. Really. I think it's great that you care. I just... think we should give the man some space. So... you think you can you go back to your seat, please? Or... or take a couple of steps backwards. I'm sure he'll be okay, yeah?" He forced his lips to twist up into, what was hopefully, a small, reassuring smile. As for the part about help... "Three people have gone to get the Healer and someone already sent a Patronus to--"

...

... the Headmistress.

She was here. And doubling over. She was okay, right? If the woman ended up injuring herself in the same way that Flamsteed had, more panic would ensue. ... Knock Flamsteed out? ... And Mo. If the situation wasn't so serious, Alec would have been standing there trying his hardest not to laugh. Instead, he gave the boy a small smile for telling the bickering boys off. Thank you, Ravenbro.

Back Bang was an awesome use of a pun and would have been appreciated too, if it wasn't for the situation at hand. And since people had said what had happened already, the eighteen year old simply nodded. Right, they were.

Oh! West had gotten a chair. Awesome. "Thanks, West," Alec said, giving the boy a nod. The chair was positioned correctly, too, which would be great for Flamsteed to lean on. Good job, Odessa. Letting Flamsteed clutch onto his arm, Alec took small steps towards the chair when the man did. Support, you know. Not that the boy minded in the slightest. And West was right about not si--

... Wait... WHAT?!

Have... have a seat?! BLINK. "But... Headmistress? What... what if that makes things worse?" Like the girl had said, was it a good idea to do that?

Felixir 01-25-2014 03:44 AM

See, Toby?

Toby had been doing exactly as he'd been told. Sitting and waiting and not interfering. He wasn't even talking 'cause he had no words to help out. The Hufflepuff just sat there, gently swinging his legs as his toes scraped the ground and playing with his hair.

And then something silvery caught his attention and the boy's eyes WIDENED. Everything else that happened in the class was lost on him, as the boy focused on the lock of hair in his hand that he had to really strain his eyes to see ('cause his hair wasn't THAT long yet). But he was right. His eyes weren't deceiving him.

Toby let out a strangely high-pitched strANGLED YELP as he realised that what he had found was a GREY HAIR.

A GREYYYYYY HAIRRRRRR.

AGREYHAIR.

The boy seemed to suddenly realise the noise he'd made and went back to trying to look like nothing had happened, just acting natural and all, while all the while his heart was thumping like crazy. Luckily there was enough drama in the classroom that there was a high chance he'd gone unnoticed.

But all he could think about was grey hair.

HE WAS FOURTEEN YEARS OLD FOR THE LOVE OF MERLIN. WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN.

Deezerz 01-25-2014 03:46 AM

Or dancing What Does the Fox Say? Bev wanted to add to the Headmistress's list. He wasn't doing it now, but he could have...before the lesson started...in his office all alone.

It was a possibility.

But that was the least of worries. He was STUCK. The good thing was the Headmistress was here and she was taking care of him. Although, sitting might not be so good. She'd been present when her uncle Bacchus the III had bent to pinch her cheeks and his back had locked. That's what the rotten old man gets, but professor Airey seemed nice and happy.

Was he going to get fixed? Yeah, yeah?

sweetpinkpixie 01-25-2014 03:55 AM

Glad that he and Mr. Odessa could agree on the no sitting thing. Leaning on the chair was proving to be helpful. Sort of. He wished that he could straighten his back so that the blood would stop rushing to his head and he would stop the feeling of vertigo that was going on right now.

He was, however, able to lift his head enough to see the woman slowly make her way towards him like a feline monster stalking its prey. If it weren't for the fact that he could now see right up her nose, since she was standing over him and he was looking up at her, he was pretty sure that his knees would be shaking uncontrollably. However, seeing the Headmistress from this new perspective had made things feel just a but more humorous.

................................

"I bent over to p-p-p-pick up my wand," he muttered, his ears turning a bit red by some of her comments.

"YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUCH!"

The Astronomy professor howled in pain once again as he was PUSHED into the seat his students had provided to him. His back hit the back of the chair, causing another yelp and, before he could register exactly what had just happened, his eyes were twinkling and NOT because there were stars in him. Involuntary human response to pain. That was all.

She was going to kill him. The woman was going to kill him.

And now he disliked felines even more.

Casey O 01-25-2014 04:02 AM

OMIGOSH. O.o

Marigold was FLIPPING OUT. Poor Professor Airey, and then Headmistress happened. Marigold had always thought that Truebridge was nice and caring, BUT APPARENTLY NOT AS MUCH AS SHE THOUGHT. No glares happened, luckily, just pitying glances towards Airey. She was veeery worried about Hogwarts. First people having gray hair, then wrinkles, now cracking bones? Something fishy, and she was going to ask the Headmistress.

Deep breaths.

"Umm, Headmistress ma'am, can I ask you something?" Pause. "Do you think that this has anything to do with the graying hair and wrinkly students?" Slooowly back away.

Grrr..Meow 01-25-2014 04:10 AM

Oh man… this class was going great. Bay moved over towards Lux to give her some support for she seemed to think it wasn't a good idea for anyone to move him and Bay agreed.

"ERRMMM… Headmistress??? mam' I don't think its a good idea for him to be in that chair?" he said pretty much the same thing Lux said but maybe just a little bit louder…

He couldn't take all this yelping and yelling from the professor he looked like he was in some wicked amount of pain.

oh its Erik ok 01-25-2014 04:15 AM

If Nigel was eating popcorn this would be the moment were he jams it all in his mouth for the climax of the movie or tv show. This was like muggle television. He did not think he needed to do anything, since The Headmistress was already here. Whether that was a good thing for Flamsteed was debatable at this point because it looked like the Headmistress was breaking Flameo's spine. He would be going out with a Big Bang if that happened. Oh puns. Somebody would appreciate them.

"Be careful of his spine"

He might have been safer on the floor.

AlwaysSnapesGirl 01-25-2014 04:21 AM

Oh, and now the Headmistress was already here. Still no Healer though? Either Truebridge was closer to the Astronomy tower or she was extra concerned about Flamsteed. Or both. Or...maybe not really concerned based on what she was doing now. Penelope raised an eyebrow but was suddenly distracted by a high-pitched sound that she was pretty sure hadn't come from Flamsteed. She glanced over in the general direction she thought it'd come from, towards Toby and whoever was sitting near him, but there didn't seem to be anything happening. Seemed pretty focused on the front of the room with the two adults, so maybe she'd just imagined it? An eyebrow was still raised but then she turned her attention back to the front to continue observing.

aaetha 01-25-2014 04:32 AM

"Um-" Adrienne started forward as the Headmistress went to sit Flamsteed down, but she was too late to actually do anything. She winced as the professor let out that horrible noise, and she stood on her toes, torn between rushing forward and yelling at Truebridge to get out because she was only making things worse and not actually wanting to get expelled. "I think I'm going to go tell Tillstorm about what just happened," she said quietly, rushing out of the room. Nobody was paying much attention to her anyway; they were all understandably focused on the injured man.

WhittyBitty 01-25-2014 04:43 AM

Lux had to cover her ears as the Professor let out a loud howl of pain. It was a lot for her to take sitting while someone was suffering, and she was so tempted to get up off her chair and offer him some Chocolate Frogs to see if they would help him feel better. Why was the Headmistress being so mean to him? She had seemed like such a nice woman. Had Lux been wrong? Or was she just in a bad mood and taking it out on Professor Flamsteed?

Noticing Bay move closer to her and basically agree with what she said, she gave him a big smile before turning her attention over to Marigold as she asked the Headmistress something. That was a very good question, and she really wanted to know what the Headmistress had to say about it.

FireboltAvis88 01-25-2014 04:48 AM

Sander heard the Headmistress enter the classroom....who wouldn't. She had been loud. But he was glad that she was finally here....or was he? He grimaced when he saw Headmistress Truebridge pushed the Professor to sit on the chair. 'Merlin! That's gotta hurt.' and sure enough the next sounds Sander heard was the Professor yelling out in pain.

Sander shook his head and hid his head back into his textbook. This was definitely becoming a three ring circus...and none of it was funny. No not at all.

Mell 01-25-2014 04:50 AM

Michael watched in fascination as the Headmistress entered the room and went about taking care of the Astronomy Professor. According to all the students though they didn't think she knew what she was doing.

He was no Healer and he was pretty sure the rest of the class wasn't either so maybe they should all just be quiet. "I seriously doubt that the Headmistress would do anything to harm one of her staff members." Because that would be negligence and he doubted the woman would do anything to jepardise her job.

Headmistress was here. Oh, okay. Astrid somehow expected the Healer to come because, you know, for obvious reasons. Unless Truebridge could heal and help Professor Flamsteed with his back problems, then that'd be okay for the sixth year. She watched the Headmistress. Yes, she hoped she could help their Astronomy Professor, but leave it to an adult, y'know?

Hi. Please help our Professor? Please? She was desperate.

Chances were he would lean a bit too much on her and make both of them fall over.

Fine? Noooooo. Astrid frowned a little. Professor Flamsteed wasn't fine, for sure. If he was fine, he wouldn't look like he was constipated. "You'll be okay, Professor. The Healer will come," she said. Well, that young Slytherin boy Newell, if that was the name she remembered from tryouts, went to fetch her anyway. But, yes, she needed to give the man some space so she moved away from him and went back to her seat. Still concerned though.

BECAUSE THE YELPING.

That's gotta hurt.

lemon 01-25-2014 04:57 AM

Why was another kid going for the Healer? An excuse to get out of class early? How come she hadn't thought of that? Still, Alice was one hundred percent sure Tillstorm was going to enter the class tailed by her very own herd of student owls.

But instead of lingering on that, she shot a look to the Gryffindors involved in that dramatic bickering episode and idly watched Truebridge elicit yelps out of her professor through painful torture.

Was Flammy gonna cry? He could if he wanted, on account of she had a good view and all.

lazykitty 01-25-2014 05:08 AM

Headmistress was here. Good. Though she still wasn't so sure that she should have been called in addition to the Healer, simply because wouldn't the Healer know more about this sort of thing? But she hadn’t wanted to get caught up in the rather useless argument between the second and seventh year, so she had kept her mouth shut. "Trust me, I was ALMOST a Healer. I know what I'm doing," the Headmistress assured her concerned Puffs, giving Flamsteed a few more pokes here and there to get his back stiffer into the chair. Still, Annie shook her head and leaned in to him, to whisper at volume audible to his ear's only. "Shouldn't you dismiss your class now? She was clearly new to Hogwarts.

Bart watched as someone was coming it the healer of course right... nope it was the headmistress. So that nerd's patronous actually worked. Well guess he accomplished something today Mr. know it all got to show that he could form one bravo oh, but whatever. He sat back listening and listening. Honestly this was worse than the lectures everyone putting their two knuts in.

"Honest to blog people shut up. The headmistress knows what's she's doing and so does the head boy. They are leaders for a reason." Because none of you other people including himself could do the job. He was totally with Mikey on this one. Speaking of Mikey he looked back at the boy, "Is this place always like this? I mean weird things? People getting hurt?" Not that he minded it was interesting, but still.

"So since the professor seems to be out of commission until the potion or whatever will help him arrives is class over? Could we like go study or something?" Like he would study, but it sounded good and maybe the headmistress would let them leave if he said study.

Class was over for sure, right?

Bay blinked… really was the Headmistress like this.. WOW! He's never met her before and has only been around her a few times… But he didn't want to question this and he defiantly didn't want to get into trouble… Maybe everyone should work on a big "get well card" for their poor hurting Astronomy Professor.

"Ohhhh okayyy Mam'" he said while going back to his desk to collect his things… if indeed the class was over he wanted to make sure he had all of his things ready to go.

lazykitty 01-25-2014 06:21 AM

Ah, okay then. That made sense. "Sorry, Headmistress. I didn't think that one through." Clearly.

And that look...... It had just been a suggestion. Honestly, no need to bore holes through her. And then the Headmistress dismissed the class. Which caused Layla to gather her stuff and leave. Ta ta for now.

Lady of Light 01-25-2014 06:38 AM

Delilah didn't understand why there was so much confusion. Why were people clustering around the poor professor? Didn't they hear what Alec said? She eyed them all with a disapproving look.

... And the Headmistress turned up. The Hufflepuff looked slightly relieved.. when she almost yelled out loud. WHAT WAS SHE TRYING TO DO? Airey was in PAIN and she'd practically pushed him into the seat. Delilah narrowed her eyes slightly when she said he was fine. The professor certainly did not look fine. Poor man.

Yeah, right. Class might be over but she sat where she was. And HE had not dismissed them yet. So.

She was watching. MHM.

sweetpinkpixie 01-25-2014 07:00 AM

Almost a healer. ALMOST a healer. Then again he was almost an astronaut, but that still did not mean that he was one. But the man was in far too much pain at the moment to really make logical sense out of anything. And yes, Headmistress, he would get right on that dismissal thing when he could actual words out. Although he was a little grateful to be off his feet. He was just less than enthusiastic about the methodology she had used to get him into this position.

He looked over at the black box on his desk with a heavy heart. So much for having a stellar activity to start the term off with. Not to mention completing his lesson. In fact, he was going to need to rethink his remaining lessons. Oh sweet solstice what had he ever done to deserve this?

"Heeee -- Heeeeeee ----Headmistress Truebridge is right. Class dimiiiiiiii OUCH sssssed," he announced, wincing through the pain it took to do something as simple as breathe. "Finish re-re-READING the chaaaa AAAAAH pter on the Big Bang Theory on your OWN. Hooo OOOOOOOOOOOOOW mework will be posted OOOOOO OOOOW OOON announcement board...." Whenever he got out of the hospital wing.

And then he tried to put on a brave smile for his students as they departed - SOME before HE had dismissed them and this did NOT sit well with him - despite his eyes being a bit misty.

Lux was still uncertain that the Headmistress was doing much good, though at least the Professor was not howling in pain anymore. That was always a good thing. As they were told they were basically dismissed, she gathered her stuff up, but only actually put everything away when her Professor confirmed it.

Listening to what he instructed them to do, she got up and approached him "I hope you feel better soon, Professor Flamsteed. Would you like a Chocolate Frog?" Chocolate Frogs helped her feel better, and he was in pain. She did want him to feel better.

Bazinga 01-25-2014 07:47 AM

Bart watched some more this was entertaining and if this stuff happened all the time. Ha this was great. Boring lecture classes get disciplined by painful backs. Not that he wanted Professor Flamedude to be hurt, he actually liked the guy now if a certain Runes professor hurt his back. Anyway the Headmistress said something about leaving so could they leave? He grabbed his book bag since he really didn't take anything out of it anyway and slung it over his shoulder, but no one else was leaving so should he just sit.

Once Professor Flamedude said it was alright well Bart thought that's what he said he got up out of his chair and made his way towards the door stopping near the professor and headmistress. "My the force be with you Professor Flamedude! Get better quick we got dance moves to practice. I haven't forgot!" He gave the man salute and turned saluting the headmistress as well before leaving the class.

Sweet free time.. Now what shall he get into!

FireboltAvis88 01-25-2014 08:26 AM

Sander looked up from his textbook curious to see what was going on. So the headmistress did know a thing or two about healing. He breathed a sigh of relief. Then she spoke up and told them that class was dismissed.

Was she serious? She was the headmistress so she did have the authority to do that but was she really dismissing class? Sander slowly packed his things and waited to see what the other students would do. But then Professor Flamsteed spoke up and confirmed that class was over, which was as good a sign as any.

Sander slung his backpack over his shoulder and approached the Headmistress and hiss Astronomy Professor. "Professor I hope you feel better soon. Sometimes soaking in Epsom salts helps," Sander volunteered a suggestion. Then he turned to Headmistress Truebridge.

"Ma'am thank you for coming to our assistance," Sander nodded his thanks before turning around and heading out the classroom.

TakemetotheBurrow 01-25-2014 12:24 PM

Toby was yelping and Airey was too and the Headmistress was being...well, the Headmistress and Ella's eyes widened considerably, wondering why this ridiculous things tended to happen at Hogwarts.

Where was Pebbles, anyway? Surely the pet rock would give Airey comfort right about now. The blonde craned her neck to see if the rock creature was on his desk but didn't immediately spot it. Perhaps it was already tucked safely in his pocket or on a leash somewhere. A leash...cause y'know.

They were being dismissed and Ella nodded, grateful that most of the students were already filing out. "Alright, you guys. Let's go." For anyone who wasn't yet moving, that is. She was sort of nervous to leave Airey with the Headmistress but he was being brave and very Gryffindor letting everyone leave, especially with the way the red head had shoved him into his seat like that. And so the eighteen year old packed her things and then headed to the front again.

"Feel better, Professor. If there's anything I can do..." Pet rock sit, clean telescopes, write a mean letter to the Headmistress ...anything. "Headmistress." She got a teeny tiny smile and a nod.

And then she waited by the door, for Alec and for Tobias cause concerned badger was concerned.

FearlessLeader19 01-25-2014 12:57 PM

Adi was disappointed the class was over but then again, the Professor could not be teaching in his current state. He packed up his stuff as he occasionally glanced at Airey and the Headmistress. The man had to be in loads of pain. That yelp earlier was proof.

"Get well soon, Professor! Bye, Headmistress,'' Adi called on his way out and also giving them both a wave.

DaniDiNardo 01-25-2014 01:25 PM

What what WHAT?????

OKay first off, if you're gonna shoot a patronus shoot it where the person ASKED you to shoot it? Gosh, this was why she said competent you know? But That was of little consequence because people were arguing and not listening and probably not her problem. Professor Airey was. This class was gonna be about EXPLOSIONS, he needed to get off his back and get back to the bloody lesson!!!

Alexa whirled around at the entrance of the Headmistress and talks of the Professor over exerting....sweet Merlin he wasn't gonna cry was he? Where Alexa could still respect him for having a fish for a best mate...it would have been harder with the tears--granted she'd still respect him but JEEEEZ pull yourself together man!

Lex flopped into a seat now that there was a competent adult in the room and waited for her to fix him but what she heard next was NOT what she was expecting.

Class dismissed????

"But we just got here...the only thing that exploded was an egg and that didn't count..." She muttered clearly disappointed. The Gryffindor took a deep breath and rose with her things. "Sorry about your back Sir. I hope you feel better. Have a good night Headmistress, don't forget his fish." Most. Disappointing class. EVER. Even more so considering she hadn't been able to answer a single question. This class was a waste on her part. She contributed nothing but threats to the man's fish.

And then he tried to put on a brave smile for his students as they departed - SOME before HE had dismissed them and this did NOT sit well with him - despite his eyes being a bit misty.

Astrid just felt sadness and pity and everything bad right now, especially for Professor Flamsteed. And, well, sort of went 'aaaaaaaaww' in the inside because she was actually interested on the topic and it would've been more fun if Flamsteed was able to discuss it more. Oh well. Can't blame him for his back problems. Something was really weird about this place. As if there has been a term where nothing was 'normal'. THIS was their normal, apparently, and it was creepy and scary.

But they were dismissed and homework will be posted soon. Okay, then. Astrid shoved all of her things inside her bag. "Thanks for the lesson, Professor... sort of," she sighed. Would've been better if they were able to finish everything and maybe even have an activity about the Big Bang. "And get better soon, yeah? You still have to teach me how to talk to fish." Because that was also important, just saying.

With that said, Astrid gave the man and the Headmistress one last smile and turned around to leave. AT LAST. She could sleep alllll niiiiight loooooooong.

Edward Penguin 01-25-2014 02:59 PM

An watched everything that was going on, not quite sure of it since his hearing was all blotted up. He saw students scattering and appeared to be bickering and then the head mistress showed up. It appeared that the professor was in a great deal of pain and the headmistress was 'helping' him. He seemed a little frightened and then all of a sudden students were up and moving to the door. He spoke loudly, trying to figure out what was going in. DOES THIS MEAN IT'S TIME TO GO?

HOPEendures 01-25-2014 03:44 PM

Hope hadn't moved out of her seat the entire time and she stayed there watching everything in semi-slow motion. The Headmistress made an entrance and took over. So much for a fun class. Things were just getting interesting too. With the dismissal from Professor Flamesteed, she stood and grabbed her things and approached the fish tank. "Would you like for someone to take your fish somewhere, Professor?" It was obvious he wasn't going to be carrying it anywhere anytime soon. She wouldn't mind taking it with her back to the common room. Play with it. PET IT!

hermionesclone 01-25-2014 05:41 PM

... Dismissed?!

Alec BLINKED. Maybe they should. He couldn't help but frown over at the way Flamsteed and yelped out when he was made to sit down. This wasn't great. No. And what made it worse was the yelp that Toby had let out. The boy hadn't put out his back too, right? Because if so, Alec was going to worry more and ask the boy to stay there. Maybe the younger Hufflepuff could take up a bed next to Flamsteed.

... They were being dismissed. Right.

"Erm... sorry about your back. Hope you feel better soon, Professor," Nod. "And thanks for coming, Headmistress." The two got small smiles from the eighteen year old before he moved over towards his desk to pack away his items. They were going to get homework on what they had learnt today? Really, thinking back, all Alec could remember was the egg smashing and Flamsteed breaking his back.

Once he was all done and packed away, the seventh year turned to a younger Hufflepuff boy (Ian) and nodded. "Yeah... yeah, it's time to go. We'll get some hot chocolate on the way to the common room, yeah?" Because it sounded like they needed it. Or, at least, he did. He gave the boy a small smile before heading over towards the door where Ells was standing.

Lottiepot 01-25-2014 06:07 PM

Oh. Well this had been an eventful and extremely short lesson, hadn't it?

The Slytherin watched the events unfold before his eyes. Many students running off to get the Healer, a Patronus and fairly quickly a very puffed out looking Headmistress. Flamsteed looked very much in pain and it was a good idea to dismiss the class but Terry couldn't help but feel just a little bit disappointed. He had been looking forward to Astronomy after all. Briefly glancing around the room at the students leaving, Terry grabbed hold of his bag and shoved his notes and textbook back within it, zipping it up and throwing it over onto his shoulder.

"Well I hope you feel better soon" he nodded towards the Astronomy Professor with a sympathetic smile. No really, he liked Astronomy. It was a class he quite wanted to pass. Plus Flamsteed was a good teacher, one of his favourites probably.

"Headmistress" he nodded his head respectfully towards the leader of the school with a smile as he made his way out of the classroom. Well, at least he could go to bed now.

Her slow approach to the Astronomer ended when she reached his side with a big, broad smirk.

"MISTER Flamsteed," she tilted her head and stared at his odd condition. "Did you overexert yourself a little bit with a tap-dancing routine? Or was it 'jump the moon' jumping jacks? Or a 'reach for the stars' stretching routine? Perhaps you tried too hard to impress Professor Romanos with some of her vampire yoga?" She laughed at her own joke and placed a firm hand on his shoulder to steady him.

"Contrary to what Mr. Odessa may think, I believe it will be best if you just... have a seat." And with a small, tiny, gentle little push to his shoulder, the redhead guided Flamsteed back into the seat.

Helpful, see?

Tessa nodded in response to the Headmistress. She certainly wasn't a healer, but she had patched up herself enough times to know that extra hands were always helpful. "Just let me know if you need it," she repeated, staying off to the side so that she wasn't in the way. Crowding was no fun when you were injured, nor was it helpful to those who did know what they were doing.

No, no NO! Don't move him! Tessa winced as the Professor was guided into a chair. It just seemed like a bad idea to move someone with a back injury- although she was sure with magic almost anything could be fixed. It would just be excruciatingly painful- the Professors screams concurred with that thought. She winced to herself, keeping her mouth shut for the moment. You don't mess with anyone trying to work a healing. If they're distracted, it could make things worse. She hid a smile as that thought brought back a handful of examples in her mind.

Oh, class was dismissed? She gathered her things and moved to a closer seat to the Professor and Headmistress. "I can stay behind," she said, placing her things on a nearby seat and looking at the Headmistress. "I fell off a broom and hurt my back once- it was excruciating, but you'll get through it," she assured the Professor with a grin. "Soon you'll be good as new!"

Expecto-Penguin 01-25-2014 06:20 PM

O__O.....

Was Kace's reaction to when the professor screamed out in pain. He felt bad for him. I guess sitting down in a chair was a horrible idea. He even felt the pain from here. He stayed as far back as he could. He knew the prefects and the headmistress had it covered. But at least the professor knew he cared.

Then he heard the class was over and it seemed logical to do it. Kace went to go get his stuff and then went to the professor and said, "I hope you feel better Professor..." he smiled.

Then he smiled toward the headmistress and nodded towards her respectfully. "Thanks for the help headmistress."

Then he went back to the common room ready to relax.

Uncle Moose 01-25-2014 06:20 PM

No Orsino wasn't lurking around Outside the classroom looking for the perfect opportunity to reclaim the fish....okay yes he was. He believed nothing Flamsteed said about that fish being his friend. It was a ridiculous excuse to keep it as a pet.

So yes he had heard all the moaning and groaning from Blondo. Saw the students rush out to retrieve the Healer, then saw Anastasia rush in. Not yet, he needed to wait for the class to clear out before he can go in for the Fish.

But no, all the weak wailing that Blondo was making had gotten to his ears and softened his heart. "Headmistress, I heard the whimpish....the uhhhh I heard Flamsteed crying...in pain." his eyes were focused more on the Bass as he said this. "Anything needed of me while I'm up here? To help the Fi...Flamsteed"

Felixir 01-25-2014 07:03 PM

Over?

Class is over?

That caught Toby's attention well and proper, and the Hufflepuff blinked up at the Headmistress, and then at Professor Airey as the man agreed. On one hand, that was sad 'cause like... Toby liked Astronomy, and he liked Airey too, and didn't like to see his professor in pain. But then he had to get himself to his dorm where he could check a mirror, PRONTO.

The third year hurriedly packed up all his notes and writing materials, and finally his textbook. When everything was thrown haphazardly into his bag, Toby gave Airey a lingering look of concern, but decided not to say anything because sometimes when you were in pain that was all you could focus on. This seemed like one of those times.

So he didn't say anything. He just slung his bag over his shoulder and hurried out the door, trying to give Ella and Alec (who were like right there) a confident smile as he did. But he sort of failed, and he felt his lower lip threaten to tremble, so Toby just bowed his head again and left and tried to make it back to his dormitory as quickly as his body would take him.

Princesspower 01-25-2014 07:40 PM

There was such chaos... why wasn't anyone going to get the healer? Thankfully a younger student finally went, and Sarah was pleased. What about these suggestions to move the professor? It was common knowledge that one someone is hurt in an area affecting a bone, ordinary layman do not move them. Like when her cousin fell out of a tree, they were told not to move her, as in such a fall the leg is usually broken and moving her would cause more harm than good. (Her cousin shocked them all though as she emerged unscathed...). Than some older student sent a patronus - to the headmistress of all people. With Lafay, Vinteren and French gone, the headmistress was one of the members of the staff that Sarah least trusted. And she made the professor sit down... West's idea was way better, however Sarah did not say anything, knowing that when dealing wtih people like the headmistress, nothing you say will change what they are doing.
Class dismissed... Sarah tore herself away from the excitementm but somehow eager to leave the room so she could vent out her fustration.
"Feel better Proffessor, I hope to see you up and about, hopping, skipping and jumping in no time" She said with a smile.
This white hair talk meant that she had to make a stop in the library... This was all very strange.

AlwaysSnapesGirl 01-25-2014 08:18 PM

Class ending was probably a good thing. Didn't look like Airey was gonna be fixed any time soon, and trying to get anyone else to do the lesson would probably just make it boring. So Penelope gathered up her things and headed for the door. "Hope you feel better soon, Professor," she said with a nod to him and the Headmistress and then headed out of the room.

Anna Banana 01-26-2014 01:39 AM

Wow.

If that was what being forty did to ya, Sophie really needed to make sure she stayed in shape. She gathered her materials in a somewhat zombie-like state. She was just preoccupied, that was all. She was heading out the door, when...

"Shhh," Sophie said, lowering her voice. "Don't make him feel any worse. He has forty-year-old-itis." She said this so matter-of-factly that it was almost as if she was a hundred percent sure of herself that this was an actual disease a person could get.

She grinned apologetically at the man then headed out the door and down the corridor.

sweetpinkpixie 01-26-2014 03:05 AM

In through the nose and out with the mouth. Or was it in with the mouth and out with the nose? Either way, the astronomer was slowly calming his breathing, which also helped his body relax just a little which also helped with the pain. He had been lying to himself earlier, this was much worse then his initial injury back the he was an Astronaut Candidate.

Ah yes, magnesium sulphate. He had been told about this home remedy for pain by his mother before. With no scientific evidence to back up the claim, he was skeptical to try it. Seemed to be one of those 'if you believe it will help you then it will' sorts of cases. Which was completely illogical to the man. Still, he gave the Hufflepuff a nod. MISS CAMBRIDGE!

Airey was touched that she remembered Tiberius over in there beside his desk. Poor bloke was just swimming along and probably beside his fishy self with the feeling of helplessness that came without having opposable thumbs.

"Thank you, Miss Cambridge," he smiled - all squirmy feelings put to the side for the time being.

And, honestly, we promise you will get to blow something up at some point this term.

Well, Medea also knew since she was the one who had put up the more hard hitting anti theft and defensive spellwork.

And whoever it was who had broken into his office and stolen his tie. He still missed that tie. Maybe he should put those missing posters back up again.

ABORT ABORT ABORT!

WRONG! SO WRONG! OH SO VERY VERY WRONG.

So what if the man had a moderately low tolerance for pain. That was allowed! Better that then smelling like a troll that had bathed in honey and looking like one.

Airey looked back to the Headmistress and then back to the Groundskeeper. Probably didn't matter whatever he said, but one thing was for sure was that he did not want that man's hands all over his suit.

Positive words always seemed to help when she was injured- she just hoped they were doing the same for Professor Flamsteed. "That doesn't sound like any fun," she replied with a small smile. "Injuries come with the dangerous lives we live," she added with a grin. Hey, smiles always helped with healing too.

His wand? She looked around and finally spotted it. "Of course," she said, bending down to pick it up. Her hair dropped down to her eyes, revealing more grey among the strands. She quickly tucked it back and straightened slowly- her back better not start complaining too.

"Where would you like it, Professor?" she asked, not sure if she should hand it to him, or put it nearby.

Lux nodded at the Professor. It could have been their little secret if he ate something in class, but if he wanted to play it safe she would be okay with it too. "Is there anything I can do to help you, Professor?" She saw Tessa get his wand for him, but maybe she could do something else to be of assistance.

And then he tried to put on a brave smile for his students as they departed - SOME before HE had dismissed them and this did NOT sit well with him - despite his eyes being a bit misty.

There, see! She was proven right. Anastasia kept that big smirk on her face as Flamsteed dismissed his class. About time, too!

"Get well soon, Professor! Bye, Headmistress,'' Adi called on his way out and also giving them both a wave.

Even more so considering she hadn't been able to answer a single question. This class was a waste on her part. She contributed nothing but threats to the man's fish.

Really, thinking back, all Alec could remember was the egg smashing and Flamsteed breaking his back.

Then he went back to the common room ready to relax.

"Good night, Sander, Ella, Alec, Alexa....and everyone....." Including those kind kids whose names she didn't yet know. "Thanks for coming to class!" She gave them all smiles and a cheery wave as they left.

It was just so pleasant to watch others in pain. Wasn't that just the best? Hum de dum, sure was.

Stay behind? Annie hadn't been being literal when she told the Gryffindor she could help... she really had no plan here, and now the girl was forcing her to improvise on the spot. Hmmph.

AHA. Thank GOODNESS for GROUNDSKEEPERS!

"Mr. Kirby!" the redhead motioned him over to the chair scene. "You're just in time, actually. We need to get Flamsteed to the Hospital Wing in the most efficient manner possible... right now, I believe the chair is acting as a back brace for him, and we don't want him to fall off it. Think you can give him a lift in it down to the third floor?"

She was being literal this time.

"Flamsteed..." She turned back to the Astronomy man. "How do you feel about permanent sticking charms?" Or rope?

Dangerous lives we live. Ha. Spoken like a Gryffindor. What was life without a little risk, right? Injuries only proved that you were willing to take the chance rather than play it safe.

"If you could just hand it to me," he nodded in appreciation. "Gently, if you will."

WHAT?!

Airey sat up straighter in his seat and groaned at the shooting pain that occurred because of it. No sudden movements. Needed to remember no sudden movements. But that was like telling a a star not to emit particle radiation. IT JUST WAS NOT POSSIBLE.

And speaking of not possible.

"No, no...nooooooooo...not going to happen," he said as he shook his head vigorously. Again. Sudden movements. Should not do that. Well, Medea also knew since she was the one who had put up the more hard hitting anti theft and defensive spellwork.

And whoever it was who had broken into his office and stolen his tie. He still missed that tie. Maybe he should put those missing posters back up again.

"Do you mind helping transporting him to the hospital wing?" At least he assumed that is where he would be heading next. Surely the Headmistress wasn't going to nurse him back to health in her office.

Hope beamed and slung her bag across her body leaving her hands free. "It would be my pleasure to do so, Professor." So long as no one objected to her doing it and if they did she wasn't going to be too happy with that person. However, seeing as the Headmistress and Mr. Kirby were going to be preoccupied with Professor Flamsteed, there really was no question against Hope doing it. Everyone else was either busy or had left the classroom.

She bent done and managed to lift the tank with ease. Yes. Hospital wing. Third floor. She looked down upon the swimming fish and smiled with elation. She didn't know how long it would take for Professor Flamsteed to fully recover from those, so maybe she could offer to help take care of the fish and his other pets for him. Mhm.

Awww, man. Lux had hoped she could help take poor Professor Flamsteed to the Nurse. But she supposed that he would be alright with the Headmistress and Groundskeeper looking after him. Nodding, she figured she could be a good Puff and do her work like he asked her to. "Okay! Maybe you can have your Chocolate Frog when you are allll better."

Being dismissed, she made her way towards the door. "Good night, Professor, and Headmistress, and Groundskeeper person, and everyone else here." With a final wave, she was out the door.

Orsino raised an eyebrow at the young girl and her 40 year-old comment. He was 40, but look at him and disease would bounce off of him in fear that his antibodies were just as buff as he was. "He's fine. I've heard worse" Kirby reassured the girl before she left. The thin man, sounded like he was overreacting.

Probably didn't matter whatever he said, but one thing was for sure was that he did not want that man's hands all over his suit.

..............He was not 40 YET thank you very much. Still had a few years before that (4 come December actually).

"You are dismissed, Miss Newell," he reminded her gently before she left. Did he look 40? He had always been told that he looked younger than his age. Or maybe it had been that he acted younger than his age....

That, or since he doesn't want to be carried by chair I'll float him down like rag doll." Yup. Those were his only two options he was giving. "What if you stuck him to the chair, then added some wheels?" Okay, now he was just having fun.

"Sorry Blondo, but it seems you're in no position to negotiate" with that Orsino removed his wand. "You can choose how you want to stay upright on that chair. Sticking or a Rope?"

See? Now the groundskeeper was talking! Or was until the astonomer realized that his words had been laced with sarcasm. A wheelchair really would be the most practical of things at the moment, not all this rope tying up and other suggestions that were clearly meant as nothing more than torture devices.

Before he could say anything, however, there were ropes around him and the Headmistress was suggesting they be a bit tighter. Sweet solstice. And now he was entrusting his life to the man that probably used house elf bones to pick his teeth.

"Can we...just get this over and done with, please?" he sighed. "Miss Evans, if you could follow us with Tiberius that would be appreciated."

No way he was letting the Headmistress near another 'pet' of his. Better his own life than his best mate's, yeah?

Before he could say anything, however, there were ropes around him and the Headmistress was suggesting they be a bit tighter. Sweet solstice. And now he was entrusting his life to the man that probably used house elf bones to pick his teeth.

"Can we...just get this over and done with, please?" he sighed. "Miss Evans, if you could follow us with Tiberius that would be appreciated."

No way he was letting the Headmistress near another 'pet' of his. Better his own life than his best mate's, yeah?

Hope stood there, fish tank in arms. She nodded. "Yes, Professor." She wasn't sure how comfortable she was with the fact that they has essentially just tied Professor Airey to a chair, but she wasn't going to argue since they had gotten this far. She took a step forward and the water sloshed around a bit while the bass swam contently. She wanted to stick her hand in the tank and let one finger skim slowly over he scales but she couldn't carry it and do that at the same time.

I'll move us down to the Hospital Wing from here.

He'd rather be carried through the castle than have a permanent sticking charm applied to one of his suits... well well, Flamsteed, don't give the woman ideas!

"A little tighter," Anastasia piped up from behind the massive groundskeeper. "Cece should be expecting him now... are sure you can carry the professor and his chair?" She looked up at Orsino and then laughed. "Of course you can. I suppose I'll follow behind with my wand on him, in case he falls out."

Just being helpful. Unless they didn't want her to follow, of course??? Hmm???

Just before Orsino could lift the broken-blonde into the air The Headmistress spoke up again. "Tighter, no problem."
Orsino cracked a smile on his face as he stood behind the Professor, and yanked on the ropes setting Flamsteed's back straighter to the back of the chair. "Theeeeere, we go." He looked to the girl who was carrying THE LAKE'S Fish, then to Anastasia. "I would apreciate a spotter, especially on those stairs. It'll be difficult if they decide to move on us while carrying Blondo down." With that said, he gave the Astronomer no warning. With his left hand he grasped the front left leg of the chair, and with his right he grasped back right. Hoisting the scrawny man on the chair over his right shoulder Kirby Marched out the door.
