The Winner's Circle
|
Amoretta was more than ready for the winner to be announced for this competition thing. She knew who she wanted to win, but she also was fairly confident in the least that the school from the north (Durmstrang) would not be taking home the prize money. Merci! After some time passed at the Summertime function, Amoretta found herself meandering near the rose-covered podium. It was time to get the show on the road and announce the winners. She didn't know about the other judges or the school head's, but she was certainly eager to get this over with. |
Maximillienne entered the winner circle's in robes that matched her icy temper. She was furious, but she couldn't take her student's home before this little awards charade was over. She had to endure the awards show and keep a happy-smily face on all through it because appearances mattered when you were the figure-head and in charge of a renowned school. It was expected of you to be strong no matter what. Spotting one of the judges (Amoretta) already there hovering by the rose covered-podium Maximillienne walked over towards her bracelets clattering. "Bonjour!" she greeted with a polite smile. |
Arriving in the Winner's Circle in his usual attire consisting of a well pressed dark suit and white dress shirt, the Ukrainian made his way first towards the 'lumps' on the table and adjusted the black cloth that was covering them so things were not so asymmetrical. Whoever had placed the cover had either been completely lazy or did not care to keep up a professional appearance. Fixing now completed, he stood just off to the left of the table and inclined his head to his colleague and French Headmistress in greeting. |
Now that things were slowing down for their event Minerva noticed that people were starting to gather at the winner circle. Would they be starting this now? Curiously she made her way over towards the area. They were allowed over here weren't they? Well they should be, the winners circle was where they were announcing things, so the students should be there. Finding a chair in the back she took a seat, maybe she wouldn't get to close to the front that could be for the professors and judges or whomever wanted to be that close. It was better to just stay in the background anyway in Minerva's eyes. She noticed the judge she had talked to briefly in the stands was there and the headmistress of Beauxbaton. There was someone else she didn't know, but that was fine she would just sit and watch and wait for everything to get started. |
Still a little... giggly? Hyper? She didn't know what, but Bunz was still a little wound up from her hehe luncheon with Piers. She nearly skipped into the Winner's Circle area and arranged herself in the first row, front and center. She smoothed out her fancy pink and white dress and beamed over at that dull judge. Time to get this thing over with! Teehe! She had MONEY riding on this thing. Money that HER SCHOOL rightly deserved to win. |
............. Winner's circle. Alright. Gathering here, listening to the judges officially say they had won then happily booting those foreigners out of their school. Those students didn't know how to act when they were out in public, they were worst than she was and that was saying a lot. Lex took a seat right at the front. She WAS a winner, she was, her school was full of winners and they all deserved the front rows. The other schools could have the back, or the ground. Did it looked like she cared? Could they hurry this along? They already knew Hogwarts dominated in the competition. To say they didn't win after all this would have made her think this whole thing was rigged, and she'd say it too. What's the worse that could happen? A deduction of 50 points? Oooo she was shaking, seriously, kid wasn't a Ravenclaw and she didn't like these people enough to be polite. Still, see how well behaved she was being? It was to set an example. Unlike some people, she could control herself. Ahem. Most times. |
So even though Hannah did not keep up with this whole competition this year she couldn't help but to be attracted to the circle to see who had won. Surely Hogwarts would be announced as the winning school... they just couldn't lose to those pesky foreigners. She still believed that they were the reason that all of the weird stuff had been happening around school. Everything was fine until they arrived, for the most part anyways. Hannah made her way to the front and took a seat. She was actually kind of excited to see who the winner was. Still thinking about it all she was having a hard time accepting that this was the end of another school year. She would be a seventh year next term and she still didn't know how she felt about that. |
Mischa strolled past the food tent over to where the white chairs were. The big announcement would come soon. Just a few persons had gathered so far including the Beauxbatons & Hogwarts Heads. Of them all he only knew Minerva and given that they were getting along now he thought he would go sit next to her. "Hello,'' he said approaching her. "Mind if I join vou?'' |
Quite a few people seemed to have been gathered around the Winner's Circle so... Alec had decided to come here too. They were going to be announcing the winning school soon, right? And being one of the representatives, the boy felt a need to be here. Plus... it was bound to be interesting, yeah? Yeah. Smiles were given. Smiles and polite nods and... a small wave to Minnie who, by the looks of it, was sitting right at the back. Why so far away, Wheaty? Unless... she was waiting for someone else, like Curly Wade or Ariana. ... Or the kid from Durmstrang, who seemed to be talking to her. Okay. Confused Summers was confused, especially given certain conversations the two had had. Not wanting to interrupt, Alec turned away and headed over towards the nearest empty seat. Settling down on the plastic chair, the boy sat back a little and turned his attention towards the front again, his attention drawn towards the lumpy shapes in particular. Awards? Trophies? CAKE? What exactly was under the black cloth? ... Cake would be an AWESOME surprise. Like that snitch cake back at the Quidditch awards ceremony. AWESOME. |
There was definitely one area along with all the others here in this event that peaked Wade's interest. It after all reminded him of all the tasks the three schools had to do.. anyway. Casually walking toward the circle, he chose one of the chairs to sit by, not really paying attention to some of the people he passed or where he sat. He had a certain creature on his mind still.. Not that he'd mind whoever chose to speak with him. |
Laura decided that she would come and see what had been going on. She totally had only done the gnome toss and she couldn't believe she had never done more than she had wanted to but next term she was going to do her best to show everyone how good she could be. Laura looked around and smiled at Hannah and Alec before just standing there waiting for the headmistress to speak, she hoped that Hogwarts would win because they deserve to win because they were awesome. |
Adelaide made her way over to the winner's circle. This event had been so much fun. She brushed down the sides of her dress and adjusted her hat so that it wouldn't fall off of her head. She looked around the tent trying to find one of her friends or one of the pretty French boys she'd talked too. Because they were always nice to see. She just stood off to the side, not really seeing anyone she'd talked to. It mostly seemed to be the judges. |
Before Sky knew it, it was time to head into the tent where the winners of the little competition would be announced. She regretted not getting her chance to draw on the castle, but maybe it was for the best? Since she couldn't think of anything to write that wouldn't make her lose her composure in front of everybody at what was supposed to be a happy event. She entered the tent and took a seat in the second row and just observed everything going on around her. |
Mischa, Alex, Wade Minerva was sitting quietly in the back just hoping the ceremony would start soon. She was getting tired and was hoping she could catch the announcements and celebration before she went back to her dorm. As she sat waiting she noticed someone and looked up. Seeing Mischa she gave him a small smile, "Well hello Gnome Champion" She chuckled a bit, "Sure have a seat. " Most seemed to be going closer to the front anyway. "I'm not big on being in the spot light of things, so better to sit in the back." She shrugged if he wanted to sit closer he was more than welcomed. Noticing Wade and Alec walk in she gave them both waves, but it seemed they were going to go sit somewhere else which was fine, but she hoped they would at least see her wave. "So when do you head back to your own school?" She knew Broni had mentioned being homesick and so did he, they have to be ready to leave, she was part of the school and for her own reasons, she was ready to leave the school. As much as she didn't want to leave either. Now that more people were coming in could these judges or whoever running it get the show on the road? |
When the time came, Fedir reluctantly stepped up to the podium and cursed his keen sense of smell. The aroma from the roses was a bit too potent, and he held his right hand under his nose for a moment to prevent a sneeze from ruining the formality of his announcement. "Now is time to announce results of round two of competition," he said while keeping his eye on those that had gathered as he removed a sealed envelope from his breast pocket. "First place, Hogvarts School of Vitchcraft and Vizardry vith 91 points. Second place, Beauxbatons Academy of Magic vith 73 points. Third place, Durmstrang Institute vith 71 points." He paused only a few moments for any applause. "Combining scores from round one vith round two, in third place Beauxbatons Academy of Magic vith 137 points. Vould Headmistress Enzo please come up and accept third place trophy?" He then lifted the cover and took the trophy from the table to hand to the woman personally. |
That's right! Bunz's school had just KICKED BUTT in the last round of the competition. Look at that. 20 points ahead of the other schools. THEY WERE THE BOMB DIGGITY. She had to refrain from jumping up and applauding. Instead, she just kept her smile smug and her hands neatly folded in her lap. No applause for you, Enzo. Loser! |
L O L. Beauxbatons at third place. Sux 4 them. Kat just applauded for those Frenchies with a smirk!smile. Now all she wanted was to hear that Durmstrang won SECOND place and yeah, she would hold a party. Hogwarts was the real deal here, everyone. Okay? Okay. So she waited for the other results. Although she already knew they won. Pssh. |
Mischa So it was finally time for the awards ceremony. Jozef was not particularly looking forward to it knowing in his heart that his school had not done as well as he had hoped. Yet here he was, making his way over to the winners circle. Spotting Headmistress Truebridge sitting up front, Headmaster Zitnik thought about joining her. No, not really, but he did see her sitting there looking all smug like she just KNEW her school was going to win this thing. So yeah, no sitting with that woman. For now he was going to talk with the only student of his he seen there, Mischa... Or not. Seems they were getting this ceremony under way before all the students even got there. Before giving his full attention to the man up front, Zitnik did one more quick look around the area for his students. They better have a good reason for not being in the winners circle right now. Even if they weren't the apparent winners of this competition. At least they beat out those french kids. Stopping next to Mischa, the headmaster crossed his arms over his chest. "I'm glad to see at least one of my students had the decency to make it over here." |
K2 (and if anyone else wants to play) Quote:
“I didn’t miss much, right?,” she said in a half-whisper, leaning over toward the head girl so she knew she’d be heard. Not that there was really that much other noise in the tent. People were hardly even talking, which only made her fidgety. Formality was weird, and since she knew she’d done her best, and she was sure Katrina, Alexa, Mo, and all the other Hogwarts representatives had too, she just wanted to be recognized. Hogwarts deserved to win, especially after everything they’d gone through over the past seven terms she’d been there. It would just be nice if somebody actually said that, instead of all the bad things that had been said before, in the papers and stuff. |

Also, did Kendall have chocolate? Maybe eating something would make time look faster. Kat just couldn't wait to celebrate and then leave. Staying in this place with the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students was getting annoying. It was a good thing that Gaston dude wasn't here. Kat didn't want to see HIM. |
Hecate had come in quite inconspicuously... The headmistress had not approached her quite yet, and she didn't really need the issues that may cause. Whichever end they be on... Looking around, her eyes spotted her snakes... the head girl, Miss Hudson, whom she was sure to miss... She'd had a lot of confidence in her, and she wasn't disappointed. Miss Carter-Hope, whom she'd saw grow from a wild child who needed detention, to the young smart woman she'd become... There were other snakes too... but her eyes went to the Hufflepuffs next... Prefect Wheatborn, whom she enjoyed torturing from time to time... she'd miss her too... and then... the Hufflestud... Quote:

Come on judges... lets get to this. Patience was NOT Hecate's forte. |
Seren was here! She was here! She couldn't miss this, not for anything. Sure she managed to lose a bit of time here and there and as a result wasn't as punctual as she usually was. Still, she'd made it, and ever so quietly, she tip toed to the nearest seat, ducking as she passed by some of those gathered. Whoooops. Once seated, she watched, her head turning left and right catching up with whatever it is she had missed. From what she could gather, Beauxbatons were receiving their third place trophy... how very unfortunate, for them. She didn't know the scores, and wasn't able to do the mental math, but she had a feeling the Hogwartians had this in the bag, they had blitzed through most of the events, all of them, had been rather impressive. |

Maximillenne heard Shevchenko’s voice again as if through a filter and she whipped her icy glance over to him when he announced that her school had finished in 3rd place. She choked down the sour water that filled her mouth in reaction to the results and stood up. Gliding over to and up onto the podium with poise and elegance befitting a classy French woman, Maximillienne accepted the third place trophy from Shevchenko with a fake smile pursing her lips. Turning on her heel she retreated back to her seat. |
He was not interested in the food that was presented here. Not at all. He still wasn't used to the kind of food they had and longed to the kind he was used to and had for the past fifteen years. So no. His stay around the food tent was not long. Sébastien followed the crowd of people his eyes fixed on his headmistress and the judges mostly. Silently, he picked a chair and sat down not away from Enzo. He of course was not pleased hearing that they were in THIRD PLACE. It was showing on his usually-smiling face. No smile for today. He would pay anything to know how those Hogwarts students actually managed to get out of the tasks alive. They looked like the could hardly manage a the simplest spell. Fishy. The young man watched his headmistress as she went to collect the trophy. He wasn't happy about being in third place but at least they were going home with a trophy? He now was curious to know who was going to be in first place. |
Zitnik, Lafay Since Minerva was sitting next to Mischa her blue eyes lifted as someone come to be next to him. It was the headmaster from Durmstrang and truthfully the man gave a Lafay feeling. She figured he wasn't very pleasant to socialize with or go to for help if one ever needed, but she gave a soft smile anyone. No need to be rude, "Hello Sir" She greeted him, but her blue eyes soon went back to the other people around as he addressed Mischa. She wanted to turn back and say something else, but it wasn't her place. No she would just stay quiet it was for the best and soon a cat took her tongue as she saw Lafay walk in and lock eyes on her. She felt she had avoided nicely since bumping into the woman at the quiddtich celebration. No need to tick her off at the end of term she had spent all of term away from the wacka doodle. Yep no reason to start now. Since the woman's eyes were clearly on her for a few seconds Minerva forced a smile, before quickly turning her focus onto the stage. Thank Merlin the Judge she had spoke to briefly was there and starting. So they had gotten first in the second round, that was great. Her smile grew bigger as she clapped for all the schools and their final scores. Clearly they were going to win getting first in both rounds, but really everyone did a great job. They had to have been the best to be here so she knew they all had to have given their best. She continued to clap for the Beauxbatons school as they received third place. She hadn't met any of the others just Gaston and him alone made it great that they were leaving with third. |
Tiara was here, honest. She had just been having a good time playing bumper brooms and somehow missed the fact that the ceremony was starting. Scanning the crowd, she noticed that very few of the foreign students had decided to show up. I know they are unhappy they lost, but they should still be here. Show some support for your own school! Goodness, young ones these days needed to learn that not everything was about winning. Ah, there was Enzo collecting a trophy for third place. Having missed the score announcements at the beginning, Tiara was standing in the back with excited anxiety because she didn't already know who got first. We so desperately need that prize money... She hoped the judge would hurry up and announce the winner. |
Mischa and Zitnik Karina followed Mischa into the Winners' Circle but lost him in the growing crowd. Where were the other Durmstrangers? She knew that they hadn't won, but it was still important for her to be here, just in case some special awards were going to be announced. Not that there were any special awards going to Karina. She shouldered her way through the crowd until she found Headmaster Zitnik and beside him, Mischa. She gave a special little smile to Cha and a polite nod to her headmaster. "I am right here sir," she said catching the tail end of his comment to Cha. She settled into position and looked towards where they were beginning the ceremony. She prepared herself with a stony face for a loss. Second place was the worst place in the world, after all; it was the first losers. If they came in third however, Karina wouldn't be able to bear returning to Durmstrang next term. |
She wasn't late, was she? That was all she needed. Bronislava supposed she had gotten too caught up in having fun at roller skating but she knew she shouldn't miss the awards ceremony, even if she knew their chances of winning were slim at this point and it was simply devastating to her for reasons. Still, she had to respectfully represent her school and she slipped into a chair next to Karina. "As am I, Headmaster," she addressed him immediately following her friend. She had barely made it in the nick of time, hopefully he wasn't too cross with her. She looked up to see that the French school had managed third place. No surprises there. But she wasn't looking forward to what would be coming next, something that would mar her academic record she was certain. |
Somewhere around the middle of all the seats was where the Astronomy professor had plopped himself down to watch the awards ceremony. He couldn't help but wonder why some of his colleagues were looking so anxious. Everyone was good with numbers, yeah? Simple math would tell them the results and now it was just a matter of time before the winners were announced and any anxiety he had at the moment was entirely directed towards just HOW he was going to celebrate. Elaborate but humble fireworks from his wand seems like a good start. He clapped just a little as the third place award was handed out and then continued to bounce in his seat with eager anticipation. |
After handing the woman the trophy, returning her fake smile with equal enthusiasm. Now, to continue with the unpleasantries, "In second place, Durmstrang Institute vith 140 points. Vould Headmaster Zitnik please come up and accept second place trophy?" Not at all how things were supposed to end, but at least the school he had once almost called home had not lost to the likes of Beauxbatons. The only thing the man dreaded now was just how loud a reception the red-headed Headmistress of Hogwarts would perform when she was called upon to accept the first place trophy. |
AHA! Suck it, OTHER SCHOOLS! Hogwarts had JUST WON THIS THING. That was what the announcer man meant! It was like the Miss Wizardkind competition, when they announced all the runner-ups and the winner realizes she won by process of elimination. In this case, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang had JUST BEEN ELIMINATED. Mwahaha! If only this EQWEBEGHJKLIOP thing had a fancy glass crown and flowers for the winner in addition to loads of money. IF ONLY. Once again, the redhead refused to clap for the other school. Her broad smile just widened all the more as she sat on her hands to keep from flinging them in the air in premature celebration. |
A bit of Mischa too SPOILER!!: Karina, Bronislava and Fedir And there was the student he had been waiting for, along with another of his students. "Miss Wozniacki, Miss Zvonimir, I was beginning to think you weren't going to make it." Hearing Durmstrang being announced as Knowing Bronislava would follow him, he made his way to the table and accepted the trophy. He then turned to his Glancing out at the crowd he didn't miss that look on Truebridge's face. Yeah, go ahead and gloat for now you redheaded banshee. The next competition between the schools would be held at his institution if he had his way. Then they would see who would be gloating in the end. |
Bunz!! Roro Bunz Estella watched the proceedings with hands clasped in front of her as Fedir announced the winners and began handing out the trophies. Well, she certainly was not surpised by the results but she was disappointed that the other schools hadn't put up much of a challenge. Maybe some investigations were needed to ensure that Durmstrang and Beauxbaton were up to par with their teaching techniques but right now it was celebration time so she sauntered over to the Hogwarts headmistress. "Congratulations Senora Truebridge." |
Bronislava gave a tiny nod, shifting her eyes downward, as she heard her Headmaster's words, fighting to keep the growing red blush from creeping up into her cheeks. Thankfully he did not berate her for her near tardy arrival, for one of the judges began speaking again. Just as she had feared. Her school came in as first place losers. She let out a quiet, disappointed sigh, trying to avoid any gloating eyes that may be on her when she heard the voice of Zitnik. Her eyes snapped up in surprise. He wanted her to accompany him? "Yes, Headmaster," she said at once, rising from her seat and following him to the front. A bit stunned that he had bestowed this honor upon her, she watched silently as he accepted the trophy, then let out a little gasp of breath as he offered it to her. She gave a small, yet gracious smile as she took it from his outstretched arm. "Zhank you, Headmaster," Bronislava said as she glanced down at the trophy then looked back up at him. "It is an honor to have your approval. I am pleased to make you and Durmstrang proud." That was almost consolation for their less than successful performance. Not much could make up for her failure, but she was actually very touched. |
Bunz Laura clapped really loudly for her Headmistress. She was totally happy that Hogwarts had won and she was totally proud of her headmistress they had the best headmistress here and she totally couldn't wait to see what her headmistress had to say about the victory but she was glad that Hogwarts had won, she was a bit sorry for the other schools though. |
He has only asked for the Headmaster to approach the podium and accept, so the judge was internally tiffed about the change in protocol. However, given who the man was, Fedir was more than willing to overlook things. It gave the school a positive image in light of its....loss. Giving a golf clap to the 'touching' scene, he turned his icy gaze back to the audience. "Vich means vinners of 2082 European Bureau ov Vizarding Education Quiz Bowl Scholarship Competition is Hogvarts School ov Vitchcraft and Vizardry vith total ov 181 points." And now to brace for impact as he reached for the large first place trophy. "Headmistress Truebridge, please come up and accept first place trophy." Quickly and quietly so he could remove himself from the potent stench of the roses. |
Minerva sat awkwardly uncomfortable the more Durmstrang students came to join their headmaster. She had been sitting there first before even Mischa had sat down next to her and now she was sitting with them and not her own school it seemed. Well this was super duper awkward now wasn't it. She shifted in her seat and put her hands in her lap playing with the bottom of her shirt as she kept her eyes down as the Headmaster talked with his students. Her blue eyes lifted as she heard the judge and even though she was sure that Hogwarts received first place she couldn't help but hold her breath until he announced second place letting out her breath she clapped for the school and watched as the Headmaster called on Broni. She watched as the girl followed and they both made their way up on stage. Still clapping she saw him hand over the trophy. Maybe the man wasn't has scary as she thought, maybe he was a decent guy. She continued to clap for her new friend and the school. Now on to first place, she felt her stomach flip a bit. This was exciting and she had helped |
Well.. Now was the moment of truth. Just as things were going underway, Wade began to take in his surroundings. He grinned towards Alec who was sitting close by along with the others nearby. Hm. Where was Mousie out? He glanced around, finding her finally as she had waved towards him, which got him waving and smiling back. Coolness. Was it too late to change seats? Oh well. He had a familiar feeling just then, like he felt he was being watched. His brows furrowed before he turned back to see Professor Lafay's eye on him. He smiled softly at her, she was a great Professor to him. He didn't how he could repay back all of her kindness towards him from their classes. Wade knew just what to give her, though he might have to check by her office in case she was busy at the upcoming feast.. Yeah, that'll work. He'll make sure to get her present wrapped up before sharing it. Before Wade knew it, they were now tallying the points and handing out the trophies. He clapped politely for both Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. A little more heartily for Durmstrang, just cause he was a student there years ago, but only that.. and then there was Hogwarts. First place. His face swelled in pride for his school, a very happy feeling and he stood to clap too, with a little whistle escaping through his fingers from his lips. |

"Why thaaaaaaank you, Senora Gabana, thank you everrrrrr so much." She flashed the woman a dazzling white smile, then finally stood up from her seat. "Oop, excuse me, dear, it's time I accepted my-- OUR--- just reward." Quote:
The redhead SAUNTERED up to the table when her name was called. "THANK YOU, THANK YOU," she shouted and blew kisses to the crowd as she waltzed on up there. "THANK YOU ALL." The redhead wrenched the trophy out of the judge's hands and turned it over, then checked under the table too. "And where is our giant check o' prize money?" she muttered to him not exactly quietly. "WE NEED OUR FUNDS." So go GET THEM, old man! Then she scooted back to the center of the podium, smiling and waving and holding the big shiny trophy up over her head. "I would also like to congratulate my student champions," the redhead announced loudly. "Would all the Hogwarts students please stand up? Let's have a round of applause for these brave and intelligent young men and women. Please. They have EARNED IT." And no, she was not finished yet. |
Lex sat quietly through the third and second place annoucements. She knew it wouldn't be Hogwarts. Couldn't be. She'd put effort into it. Losing would have been a waste of said effort. It served Beauxbaton right on coming last. It's what they got for pulling that love potion abraxan dung. She never got to rearranged Gaston's face thanks to a certain Headmistress but she was use to not getting justice in this place. It was just a thing she supposed. Finally that judge got to the important part. Officially announcing they'd won. Now they'd get the money. She would never have to pay to watch Quidditch again!! Were they allowed to hoot and be vulgar? They won. It was totally called for. That being the case..."Wooooooot!!! Hogwarts! That's how we win!!" And a whole bunch of loud clapping too at the expense of any foreigners near or around her. They deserved applause for being the only ones to play fair in this whole thing. You never saw them trying to sabotage anyone whether in classes or in the competition. At the Headmistress' request Lex flew up out of her seat, still clapping but also soaking in the applause. Headmistress had a point. They DID earn it. |
At last! The moment Airey had been planning for for all of 10 minutes had arrived and he realized that he really had no plan at all. Nothing besides shooting off fireworks-like spells from his wand anyway because, you see Headmistress, a simple round of applause for his students was just not enough. Not even close. And so, with the enthusiasm of a sugar-hyped child running around Honeydukes, the suited astronomer stood up and sent a small round of colorful spells into the air. "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee are the champions, my friiiiiiiiiiends," he began to sing while both arms were up in the air and he swayed slowly back and forth. Surely all the students knew of this rock classic, yes? |
Piers was situated off to the side, listening closely and watching as one of the judges (who had a bit of a dull attitude, he noted to himself) started announcing the winners of the competition. And, of COURSE, Hogwarts was the winner. He had saved the best for last, obviously. When the Headmistress went up to accept the trophy, Piers' eyes lit up and he clapped and clapped and "WOOOOOOO, ANNIEEE!!" he cheered loudly. Because, obviously, this competition was all about her. Students? Pfft. She was Anastasia Truebridge, Queen of |
Laura stood up and clapped really hard, she was so proud of Hogwarts and she was really proud of the Headmistress. She just hoped the Headmistress wouldn't mind what she did next but it was well deserved. "Three cheers for Headmistress Truebridge and Hogwarts school as a whole." The Head wouldn't eat her for saying that right? |
Minerva continued clapping as the headmistress went up on stage and started to talk. Oh they were to stand well good thing Minerva had already been standing and clapping, so she just stayed standing and clapping cheering on the rest of her friends and schoolmates. This was exciting now wasn't it. She welcomed the happy and exciting stuff, because she knew too quickly the end of term would be there and she would be an emotional wreck as usual. Watching the rest of the group standing Minerva tried to clap louder, her hands were beginning to hurt from clapping so much though and what was Professor Flamsteed singing? Wait she knew that song. Wow were the professors being loud and exciting. |
Adelaide started to clap like crazy when they'd won. It was simply fantastic. She burst into a fit of giggles once Flamsteed started shooting off fireworks and singing. Yep. She was definitely going to miss talking to him this summer. He was by far her favorite professor. ...and then there was Professor Pretty Fuller whistling at the Headmistress. Well then. That was definitely interesting. Another fit of giggles escaped. |
Minerva, Zitnik, Karina, Broni "Thank you,'' Mischa said. He smiled a bit at the Gnome Champion part. He had to admit that had been a whole lot of fun but he nodded understandingly at the next part. He hated the spotlight too. He wished this thing would be over soon so he could go back to the ship. Also the roses were making him uncomfortable. He hated the smell. "It vould not be long after this is over,'' he replied to the question. Mischa would not deny he was very pleased to go back home but a tiny bit of him would miss this Castle and the annoying stairs. Possibly even Minerva whom he had found a friend in even if that happened until the year was almost over. Ah. Finally this ceremony was underway. Shooting a disgusted look at the roses Mischa turned his attention to the judge who was doing the announcements. Third place for Beauxbatons. Atleast Durmstrang was not last. He clapped politely for the Headmistress and her school. He stopped soon after however as his Headmaster joined him. "Hello, Headmaster,'' the seventh year said. "I expect they vill be joining us soon. Karina is somevhere around.'' He supposed she had gotten distracted by one of the other events because she had been right behind him. Speaking of Karina. There she was now. He returned her smile and nodded at Broni. Then the judge was announcing Durmstrang brought second place. Mischa was not at all thrilled at that but atleast they had not brought last. He watched as Headmaster Zitnik and Broni went over to collect the trophy. That meant Hogwarts had won. "Congratulations, Minerva,'' Mischa said. "To vou and vour school.'' He thought he would have been angry at their lost but he was quite surprised to find out he was not. The Hogwarts champions had outdone themselves. |

As she sat back down from all the clapping she turned towards Mischa and smiled once more, "Thank you. You guys really did a fantastic job as well. You have some great talent and brilliant wizards." They really did, Broni was one of the smartest she had seen and Mischa was as well. They would have been great here at Hogwarts, but she assumed every school had their top students. She just wondered if she'd ever see her new friends again. |

So, where's the money? Quote:
Oh, and they should stand? Okay. Kat stood stood up just because for recognition reasons. And of course, she kept her grin on her face. WOOHOO. Applause, please? Especially for |
Fedir could just feel a migraine coming on from the moment the Hogwarts Headmistress opened her mouth. So much for quietly and quickly accepting her trophy. Stepping to the side, he reluctantly allowed the woman to take the podium and cocked his head quickly to the right to release the building tension in his neck. Hands free, he offered an extremely quick golf clap (Two claps. No more) and then waved his wand to remove the enchantments placed on the large bag of galleons that had also been on the table with the trophies. If anyone made any comments - that he could hear - regarding how his appearance mimicked Santa Clause... "Your vinnings, Headmistress. Congratulations again Hogvarts," he said as he presented her with the bag. Now if she would just take her seat he could dismiss everyone and they could depart. |
Applause, applause, applause. That's right, she lived for the applause applause, lived for the applause applause. Lived for the way that her competitors' faces looked right now. Ahhhhhhhhplaaaaaaaaaaause. Letting out a happy sigh, Annie caught the eye Quote:

WHOOOHOOOOO! They had won! Sarah and the others had done it.. or at least she ha tried. She probably was not the one who helped the most, but she did try. Her eyes were shining with pure joy. Hopefully Hogwarts had an auditor to insure the money was going to be used well. She should stand up... now that was talking. Sarah loved attention.. she knew it was bad to seek honour so she tried to keep that side in its place. But now she was invited to do that. She stood and clapped, for the champions... and Hogwarts. The one thing about winning, is that the excitement is marred by knowing that someone else did not win. She loved to be a winner, but it was easier to lose than to win as if you lose than you are not making others upset... She kept on clapping. Then she saw that bag of money... Sarah hardly ever saw money like that. Sarah hoped that the money was real and would be used well |
Vilhelm had found the Durmstrangers and walked to stand with them. Yes, yes, clap politely for the Headmistress. But he was just glad he had finished his task. And they had finished in second, not third. So polite clapping was acceptable. |
