She beamed again at his beam that was in return to hers. Tay blushed at what he said and smiled at him, ”You are such a sweetheart, Wade.” Taylor hugged him and tried to carefully dance but it didn’t work out that well… She saw the wink and giggled at it, beaming as he hugged her back. ”Well, you are being sweet about it.” Tay gave him a huge dazzling smile. ”Well, I am glad that you are glad that what you said had made me happier.” Yeah, try to make sense out of that Wade. She nodded at what he said, giggling. ”Yeah, it never does hurt to ask.” Taylor giggled, ”Did you know that you are one of my three favorite hufflepuffs?” Tay tilted her head and beamed. Her eyes grew, ”Maybe…” She sounded unsure but shrugged, ”Maybe.” She glanced down at the boat as they started to move. A small smile came onto her face, ”This is nice…” Taylor looked around and smiled, ”I mean it..”

This was very unusual behavior from Tag. Very unusual indeed. Ryan took a few seconds to analyze his friends, both his eyebrows raised at the posture the little blonde was now taking on. Was he some kind of Sherlock Holmes character? Cos this was no mystery to solve. But he seem to be persistent. So Ryan plopped down on the grass next to him, put his knees up and rested his arms on them.

"There's this tree," he began, twisting his hands as he did so. "Minnie and I...we engraved our initials on it. But now I can't find it."

“You’re next Saturn!’’ The Planet with the rings! The visible rings anyway. Though Adi had decided to move on to the ringed planet, his rather active mind was still on that of Mars. That planet was so fascinating! He thought it would be cool if he could someday go there. Maybe he could find some aliens, too. Hehe. Wishful thinking that was.

The badger identified Saturn on his Star Chart before focusing his telescope in that direction, humming a random tune. He found that humming or singing softly to himself help him to concentrate better. He missed his Ipod but of course he could not have brought it as electronics did not work at Hogwarts. How unfortunate.

“Saturrrrrrn! I’ve found you!’’ Yep. There it was, rings and all.

Ohhhh. Yep. We got a sad one here. Tag noticed Ryan's sitting style once he had decided to join his super short friend on the grass. An, looking by his hands, a slightly irritated one. Stop moving them so much.

Ahhh. This was about his girlfriend. An then engraved their initials into a tree. Welllllll, "That's kind of a lame way to show your love for each other. You are in love yeah?" He added that just in case. Tag wasn't quite sure, after that fiasco Ryan went through at the end of last term. "You guys should've gotten like special rings with the other person's initial. Could've kept it forever and it'd always be on you- like Minnie would always be in your heart or something?" What?? The boy was kind of throwing out words here, but they sounded semi-romantic to him.

But, enough of this type of friend. "Do you remember if you put it nearby any type of landmark? Say, maybe a boulder or a statue, or at the edge of the lake or something?" That might make the search party a little bit easier?

Charlie was happy. Well relatively. The school was nice. He had avoided the library. You had to pay for it. So it was just a case of learning from his books in his dormitory. So he was going on a wander. Some fresh air. That was free right? He carried his rucksack and pulled his robes a little tighter, it was a bit chilly out here.

He flopped down on the ground, far enough from the lake that he could stay dry, but close enough so he could smell the wetness of it.

School was great. Everything was better than Red had imagined. Everything except one thing. She had no friends. It was a fact, nobody had spoken to her. Not that she minded, having friends wasn't something that happened overnight. And she had never ever really had any friends at her old school to begin with.

She decided to go for a walk in the grounds, it was quiet and she could draw there, maybe she could draw the lake, the squid may she up and she could draw that! So she went to the lake side, despite the chill in the air, Red was contempt.
Just as she was about to sit down, she spotted a familiar face. Charlie! The only person she knew at school. The only boy she could speak to!

She went over and sat down next to him, "Hello, Charlie!" she said. "How is everything?"

Charlie sighed, breathing in the free, fresh air. He closed his eyes and lay back. It was nice. The Scottish sun was slightly different to his Cornish one. Weirdly. He sighed again. Peaceful.

He heard a voice. He recognised it. He peeked over with one eye open. "Red," he smiled. He opened both at looked at her fully. "It's good. How you finding classes?" It was a shame she was a red one and he was a yellow one. They would've done well in the same house.

Ryan turned to look at Tag and gave him a LOOK for saying it was a 'lame' way of showing thier love for each other. He shouldn't really be one to judge, seeing as... well, never mind. Everyone had their problems. "Of course I'm in love," He replied seriously. Dumb question in his opinion but he decided not to say anything since they were getting on so well right now. He could punch him for it later.
As for his ideas about getting rings-- Ryan blinked. "I have her name tattooed on my chest." That was more lasting thing than a ring that could get lost or stolen. And Minnie said she would be getting his name tattooed on her wrist so it would be perfect. This thought cheered him up immensely and Ryan smiled, relaxing his legs on the grass.

"Like I said, I was pretty sure we carved it into the Treehouse because that's where..." He stopped. Tag didn't need to know all the details. "...it's a special place for us. But I can't find the it on there." Other than that, he really had no idea where else it might be. Maybe he had just missed it when he first checked the treehouse.

No need to get semi glarey at us Mr. Curls. That's just what Tag thought about carving initials into a tree. Many many many many years from now that tree would be no more and their name would cease to exist. Just the way he saw it. Tag simply nodded at Ryan being in love. An then... MR. CURLS SAY WHAT?! "What?! That might be even worse. When you get old and wrinkly her name is gonna be all flappy and wrinkly" Then what if they broke up? Her name would be on him forever like some reminder of their almost possible break. Yet again, another bad idea Tag thought. But he wasn't going to add on more.

Tag glanced around the lake some more and then shook his head. "As far as I can tell, its not here anymore. Maybe they tore it down over the summer?" He didn't really have much more to offer. "But we can check around some more... if you want." It was the best he could do with the situation.

So, Adi had noooo idea what so ever if this was going to work but he was going to try anyway. And the Lake was perfect because there was so much plant life around. As a safety precaution he had brought a pair of goggles. Who knew if anything will go wrong? Attached to his wand was the magnifying glass thing that they had used in class. It was needed to catch the sun's light after all.

The first year arrived at a think clump of bushes which was about ninety five percent covered due to some large trees which had grown and covered the are with their thick branches. As a result, most of the bushes were dead or almost dead from lack of sunlight. He'd try to fix that.

Adi angled his wand, trying to get the magnifying glass into ray of light which was sort of difficult given the denseness of the trees. But at last, he managed to do that. "Solis Focalis!'' A quick jab of the wand at the bushes.

Now to see if this would work.

Alright. Last thing to find was Saturn. And Anya thought the best place to see that was the unobstructed view over the lake. She set up her telescope on the hill and lined it up to get the optimal view. After focusing her telescope for several seconds, she finally had a planet in her scope instead of a blob.

Awesome.

There it was.

And she was now done with this part of the assignment. She packed up her things and headed back to report her findings.

Um... how long would it take for the plants to retrieve to start looking at least a bit healthy again? Adi was very unsure, so he just watched them for about ten minutes but there seemed to be no progress.

Maybe he had not trapped enough sunlight on the magnifying glass thingy. "Let's try again then,'' the boy decided. He positioned the wand once again under as much sunlight as possible. "Solis Focalis!'' He jabbed it in the direction of the bushes. Now to wait once more to see if he had this!

After marveling in Mars's glory earlier that morning, Tora went to the lake to see if she could find Saturn in the same night. She pulled out her Astreglobe, the compass that showed the celestial bodies and their positions to the holder, from her bag for the second time that night. She pulled out the side compartments and smiled when she found Saturn in the myriad of stars within the magical globe. She turned around until the red arrow on the compass that showed the direction she was facing was pointing towards the planet before setting up her telescope.

She fiddled with the settings until Saturn came into full focus. This was one of her favorite planets. Even though she knew that she would never walk upon it, she loved the rings and their effect. The rims of ice and other debris looked so pretty from this far away. It was amazing how wonderful something so huge, so far away could look so beautiful. She felt lucky to live on Earth where she could see the entire picture of majesty from the planet.

She gazed up at Saturn until she realized that she was yawning every couple seconds. It made sense for her to be tired, she had stayed up all night after all. Time to pack up and get some sleep. Luckily it was now a Saturday so no classes, and she could sleep in. She smiled as she walked sleepily back to the castle. She couldn't wait for the next night when she would go find more stars.

Arithmancy textbook open on the floor in front of her crossed legs, Charlie furred her brown at it as she chewed the end of her pencil, before sighing and scribbling something out. Arithmancy had been, by far her favourite subject, but now? Well, the Professor wasn't good, and she was pretty sure he did not know what he was talking about, and that did not work in her favour.

Maybe she wasn't going to like the subject any more.

Closing the book over and shaking her hair out from behind her ears, Charlie put the pencil back behind said ear and took her glasses off, before hearing a voice above her. "Oh, yeah, of course not," she smiled brightly, moving her stuff to her other side, and away from his feet. She was sure she recognised him, but not from where, but she could definitely enjoy the company. ^___^

While she listened to the boy she grinned again, it was a good thing that he was so motivated to win the house cup, if every Slytherin was thinking the same way she was sure that they would win ALWAYS and every year! She patted the boy on his shoulder while she grinned, “I have a idea... Do you like it to make a deal with me? If you are winning more than hundred house points than i will give you a surprise at the end of the year” Said Sonea while she wiggled with her eyebrows. She wanted to motivate Lucian more to do his best, the younger students were the future from their house and they needed to do his their best, no matter that some of them were still first years.

“Haha, you can do that” responded Sonea calmly, convinced that he would be lost within a few seconds if he wanted to try to find the trophy room, but it was good that he wanted to try it!

“Oh, you have read about them, that is good! What is the spell you already know?” She sounded curious while she watched how Lucian was busy with the life jacket, looking careful if he was using the jacket good and if it was safe for him to step in the boat, and when she was convinced that there were no problems she checked her own life jacket to also make sure if SHE was safe to go in one of the boats, she didn’t wanted to risk anything!

Okay, while she watched the boy she hoped that he wouldn’t shook the boat like he did now when they were sitting INSIDE the boat, simply because she didn’t wanted to get a accident. “Good, good… I trust you” said Sonea while she rolled with her eyes, knowing full well that SHE would be the one who would need to safe HIM if something was getting wrong… “Let’s go” Said Sonea while she stepped in the boat and sad down.

Yeah, a really cool city. Aah, and Florida in general just made Schuyler miss the beach. But she needed to get over that because it was autumn now, and things were only going to get colder. She didn't even know how cold because she had never lived here before.

Anyway. Once Schuyler managed to break herself from her flower field reverie, her eyes were on Olly. She really had no idea what Olly's Room of Requirement might contain, so her curiosity was at a peak. And then, of course, the other girl answered with 'I don't know.' Schuyler frowned slightly, even though she was completely aware that it was difficult to come up with an answer to this question right off the top of your head. "Well.. what do you like? What do you like a lot?" Maybe if she answered this, Schuyler would be more satisfied.

She noticed Olly's behavior change a little when she asked after her name. Schuyler waited quietly, though, while she rearranged herself into a new position beneath this sweater. Even though the Hufflepuff's eyes were anywhere but on her, she still watched Olly as she spoke. Her birth mother. With her answer, a whole new set of questions now rested on the tip of Schuyler's tongue, but she tried to contain herself to a degree. Which was difficult. She wanted to know everything, right now. But fortunately she did have enough sense to know some things weren't easy to talk about, and she probably wouldn't be successful in getting answers by shooting off questions like a sling shot.

However, this didn't prevent Schuyler from starting out slowly. Or what she thought was slowly. She shifted again, not because she was uncomfortable - physically or with the topic, but because she could get a better look at Olly by lying on her side. "Why did your mom put you up for adoption?" And what about her dad? And how old was Olly then, because it sounded like she was older?

Nothing. Nothing at all. This spell didn't seem to work on the plants. But Adi had only done the spell twice; he'd do it once more just to make sure. For the last time, the wand was positioned in the sunlight. "Solis Focalis!'' he said with a jab of his wand.

The firstie waited, tapping his left foot in time with the humming he was doing to Linkin Park's Waiting for the End. The bushes seemed not to be improving. They looked dead as ever. Meh. "Guess the spell doesn't help with this...''

Kace made it to the lake. He was gonna try and test out his theory he gave to Professor Flamsteed. He was gonna try his theory about the fire and the wood. He was near the lake incase of precautions. He actually brought gloves incase he was gonna get burned and all. He even brought glasses too incase the sun was too bright.

Alright....now onto to get some wood! He scavenged around the lake for twigs and anything that could burn. He got some sticks and started to stack. He made his little pile. He smiled at it and it looked cute. He made it like teepee style. If only his mother could see him now.

He check in his notes for the pronouncation of the spell. So it was "Solis Focalis!" Alright he repeated it a few times and all. Then before he was ready he checked his supplies and he had all the right stuff. He was gonna do it....

He arrived by the lake just as the sun was getting ready to set. He only had a few minutes to get everything set up before the sun would be gone and the stars would be in view. He checked his supplies one last time and made sure his plate of constellation marshmallows was in proper order.

Not wanting his stomach to get the better of him before he found what he was looking for, Asher once again made a pile of marshmallows on a plate and commanded "Solis Focus!" The setting sun was no match for his spell casting abilities and the plate of marshmallows began to swell and toast to a golden brown. He made sure to let the marshmallows cool off for just a moment before sinking is teeth into the gooey goodness.

Before he knew it, the sun had set and he could see the stars shining above him. He referenced his plate for what he needed to be looking for, then looked to the sky.

Alright so Kace was gonna do this. He had the spell pronunciation down. He had his twigs set up. He breathed and he had the necessary protection on incase anything happened and he had the lake water as well. He was just use the hovering charm if anything.

He took a deep breath, looked at the sun, put on his protective glasses, got his magnifying glass and said the spell...."Solis Focalis!' and aimed it at the pile of twigs and it CAUGHT FIRE!!!! He felt the blaze of heat and blinked his eyes a few times.

He stood there wide eyed and was amazed he did it! He smelt the fire burning and was proud of himself. His theory worked! I wondered how he could prove this to Professor Flamsteeed. Ah well! He could tell him it worked!

He looked at the sticks burning and it was starting to smell bad. He pointed his wand at the pile and said "Aquamenti!" and the fire went out. At least he knew about fire safety right?

“It was amazing actually.” She couldn’t help but look at the marking on the tree. “It was the first time I had ever gotten flowers from someone. The entire thing was just wonderful.” The remake of that date last year went pretty well too she thought even with all the emotions and issues that last term had brought. Looking back at the younger claw Minerva chuckled, “He is.. very actually and thoughtful. He is always taking care of me. I really got lucky with him coming here.” She knew it wasn’t the best situation as to why he had transferred, but she hated to say it she was glad he had got into some trouble there. If he hadn’t he would have never come here and she would have probably never met him. That thought alone she couldn’t even imagine. Life without Ethan? No she would never want to ever think about that. A blush hit her cheeks at Claudette’s words and brought her back into the conversation. “You think?” She always thought they were, but hearing it from someone else made her smile even more. “I hope so. He’s definitely stuck with me for as long as he can deal with all my issues.” She laughed jokingly, but in some part of her brain she worried that could be true.

She had never been on a paddle boat? Minerva glanced at the boats. “Leave the muggle things to me Clau I’ll make sure you learn them. “ She kept her eyes on the boats, but smiled at the thought of teaching Claudette some muggle things. “You know there is a technology room this term. That will have plenty of muggle items for you to tryout, plus I finally figured out the charm for my Ipod so if you ever want to use it you are more than welcome.” It had been almost two years since Aurora had given her that more advance charm, but she felt great for finally mastering it. “Now with the boats there are peddles and you peddle your way around the lake.” Easy enough, right? She thought so at least, but sometimes her easy wasn’t for someone not use to things. A certain phone memory came to mind.

Looking back at Claudette she shrugged, “I’ve been here seven term now, in seven terms I’ve seen six grounds keepers. They usually just leave, but well last term.. You know what happened.” She frowned thinking about it. “Maybe this one will last longer, but we will see I guess.” She wasn’t really caring either way since she was done after this term, but she hoped he would have a better time than last terms did.

Minerva chuckled, “Yes there are like ten or so I think. There pretty friendly for the most part.” She had dressed them at one point in time a few terms ago. Minerva gave a small smile at the trophy room, “Well if you ever want to I can show you were it is. My mom is in there as well. So I like to go look once in awhile.” Minerva figured she would sit with her on matches she wasn’t playing at, but couldn’t help but say aww when she said she would watch her. “That’s sweet Clau, Ethan will most likely be there as well.” She couldn’t wait to see him in the stands again.

“Of course I have your back. You are my friend and I protect my friends.” She was probably a little over protective, but she couldn’t help it. She couldn’t help but roll her eyes jokingly. “Clau you will have so many friends you aren’t going to know what to do soon.” Claudette was super sweet and nice, she knew it was only a matter of time before everyone would want to hang out with her. Looking at the boats again Minerva started towards them. “Yes lets go try them out. It will be fun.”

CURTSYING! Like a ballerina. Abbi beamed at the older girl. She seemed to be liking her more and more. Cause you know ballerina's were pretty and sometimes they even pretended to be fairies in their dances. Mhhhm. Pretty ballerinas were pretty.

"Yes! Yes! Girls AND boys like it which makes it tripple brilliant." Beaaaam. Seee boys didn't like pink, clearly wasn't as cool as green.

YAAAAYYY. PADDLING BOAT TIME. JUST LIKE AT HOME!

With her two little feet on the paddle, Abbi looked at Ella. "It's easy peasy pie! It's like riding a bicycle. All you have to do is put your feet on the paddles and paddle like this, except we're going to paddle backwards first cause we need to reverse." And with that the backward paddling began. Did Clever Miss Ella get it or did she have to explain it to her like the books for dummies did. FALLLLLLLL. THE LEAVES WERE FALLING DOWN. FALLING DOWN! Geddit?

The lake had certainly become one of Abbi's favorite places to enjoy the autumn weather. It was pleasant to look out at the body of water and enjoy all the fairies surrounded by their home habitat and nature. Plus Abbi wanted to keep out an eye on the lake to see if she would ever be lucky enough to spot a mermaid other than just the silly old squid. Sadly she hadn't seen one yet and assumed they lived much down under.

Hmmm..but maybe there was a way she could lure them out?

With a pearl necklace in her hand, Miss Campbell made her way to the lake and headed towards the bed of the water. "Come here, Mermaid people. Miss Fairy Abbi Campi has a gift for you!" Would they come out? Please. Please. Please.

Caleb had to admit - he was a BIT disappointed that he wouldn't able to see Saturn's cool rings and colors and all that stuff when looking through his telescope. That would be awesome! But he knew that when he finally located it with his telescope, it would just look like a star. Maybe he'd be able to see a LITTLE bit of the rings.

He took out his telescope and began to scan the sky where his star chart said Saturn would be. AHA! There it was, and...OH HE COULD SEE RINGS!!! It was actually a lot clearer than he'd thought! Oh this was so exciting! LOOK HOW PRETTY IT WAS!

Bouncing excitedly on his feet, he observed it for a few more minutes, admiring it's beauty. Planets were seriously SO COOL. Space was kind of scary, with all that NOTHINGNESS out there but man, the planets were just awesome. And he'd just spotted his first one!

Making a note in his astronomy journal about his observation, he headed out and returned to the castle.

Ahhh this was a nice day. Just relaxing by the lake. As Dylan sat, he noticed a girl probably a first year like him standing by the water...and it looked like she was talking to it. Craning his neck a little to better hear her, he could only make out the words "mermaid people" and something about... a fairy? The Puffer cocked his head, studying her for a minute. Did he hear right? Was she looking for fairies and mermaids in the lake or something?

Hmmm.

Being the very curious boy he was, he couldn't help but stand up from where he was sitting and slowly make his way over to the girl. "Hello," he said casually once he was standing next to her. Dylan then turned his head to study her once more and he titled his head to the side as he eyed the girl. "Whatcha doin'?" he asked.

Of course Schuyler wouldn't be satisfied with her answer. She could feel the other girl's eyes on her. And it made her feel...embarrassed almost. Like she should be ashamed of the fact that she didn't have a good answer to this. Like she'd disappointed her friend. And it was confusing her beyond belief. She usually didn't care what other people thought or about other people's feelings. And yes this was of course different because she did care about Schuyler but nonetheless she had just been honest in her answer.

So why couldn't she meet the other girl's gaze right now?

What did she like? That was a good question. Her plants? A small number of people? But they'd already decided that they couldn't wish for people to be there so. In the end Olly did look back at Schuyler again with a (forced) nondescript smile on her lips. "Let me get back to you on that yeah?" Though she already knew that she wouldn't do that. Not unless she was prompted again. And she really hoped that Schuyler wouldn't ask her again. This was...not really something she was too keen on discussing.

The silence that followed her words made Olly look back at Schuyler again, shifting yet again, incidentally bringing herself a little closer to the Gryffindor. She hadn't talked about this in a while. Actually she was pretty sure she'd never outright talked about this with anyone. Not in such detail anyway. Which was why she was quite surprised with herself that she was more or less okay with Schuyler asking her these questions. Speaking of... "Because she was a terrible mother." She replied, a scowl forming on her face. "A five year old and a crying baby were too much for her to handle." And her dad had told her repeatedly that that was something she should be grateful for. That her mother had been 'reasonable enough' to give them up.
