Directly below the Great Hall is the Hogwarts kitchen, complete with five tables identical to and directly below those of the Great Hall. Numerous house elves have returned and are busily working, always working, on the castle's next meal. They're surely willing to serve you a snack though, if you ask politely enough.
OOC: Please do not RP for the House Elves! We have a lovely group of actual elves who would love to RP with you if you will please be patient.
Tag just blinked at Charlie. Blinked. She was asking too many questions. Questions Tag didn't have any answers too. In fact, everything she was asking, he'd never given a thought to before. He sort of assumed the kitchen was magically being stocked with food all the time. "I think the elves can apparate out of here and get food?" Tag answered her, though his voice sounded questioning.
"Right. Like, if you always had a cheese toastie back home you can try and make some here." He said as an example. Besides that was quick, easy and simple to make.
Charlotta. Tag had always heard Charlotte but rarely had he ever heard Charlotta. So that was different, but he merely smiled some more at the girl. Put her at ease. It was, after all, her first term here. Anything to help her out. Poland. Tag knew where that was. Leicestershire, he didn't know where that was. But it did sound like a town in England. "Leicestershire. It sounds like a town in England." He was just voicing his opinion. Hoping that Charlie would maybe give him some input.
Also home schooled. There were some ups and downs to that, yeah? But Tag wouldn't press on the matter.
Was this mean? Mean on this boy that she didn't actually really know, and whom she was now relying on for all the information related to the Hogwarts kitchens ever? But Tag had been here... at least longer than she had. And so he should know this stuff. It was the stuff she wanted to know.
Which wasn't a whole lie - she wanted to know everything.
"Right. That makes sense. Where from?" Because they didn't just walk into a Muggle supermarket, that would probably get some raised eyebrows. She was going to find this out, because she was sure her curiosity could not be settled.
Cheese toastie? That sounded like something her dad would enjoy, and would actually be able to cook. Not that she was harshing on Tag's cooking skills, no. She giggled a little bit. "I was thinking more along the lines of... bolognese or panzanella, or asparagus and mozzarella bake." Obviously bolognese with vegetables rather than mince. Or you know, fake-mince. What with being a vegetarian. Of course, she could cook a good roast chicken, or a steak, but she wouldn't personally eat it.
Charlie smiled back at Tag, as he spoke again. "Yes, a county, really: Leicester, Loughborough, Merton. Underneath Nottingham. Next to Birmingham." Did he know where those places where? Please say yes - she wasn't sure how else to describe it. Not that she'd been very descriptive.

Oh dear. Charlie liked speaking, or rather asking a lot of questions, yes? Tag didn't mind the speaking- he liked talking. But it was a bit much when he couldn't give her all the answers. Though he'd try to answer her as best as he could. "Ummm, maybe they get the food from The Three Broomsticks or the Leaky Cauldron? Maybe Hogwarts elves have some sort of deal with some of the wizarding resturants? I think some food is grown here too. But I'm not too sure on that." He said scratching his head. This was a lot to think about.
Now Charlie was speaking Tag's language. Food. An more so pasta. An then those foods. What was panzanella? And asparagus and mozzarella bake that all sounded so good. So, the boy smiled more and rubbed his stomach. "That all sounds delicious, actually." But it seemed like, if Charlie did end up cooking all this stuff, she would cook it for herself.
Tag didn't know too much about England's landscape. Just London and Surrey, because of Alec, but he tried to put a map of England in his mind. Squinting his eyes in thought he said slowly, "Up north somewhere?" If she could answer that than she wouldn't have to go further into detail. He would be fine with that.
Read? Look, Forrest LOVED reading but he would never be able to focus while brownies were being baked. He shook his head. They couldn't read together, could they? No. So they had to find a different pastime activity. Unless... unless...
"If you're cooking the brownies for someone specifically, I can leave y'know." She was of age to have b-b-boyfriend, and he wouldn't want to ruin anyone's happy moments.
Good. Forrest agreed that reading was not an option. Addi bit her lip, trying to think of something. The only thing she could think of was eating because. Well, they were in the kitchens.
Someone specifically? "Oh no. I never do that. Don't have someone specific to make brownies for." She got where he was going.
Taylor twirled her way down to the kitchen. She had a sweet tooth to satisfy and hopefully she might run into a handsome seventh year hufflepuff too. Tay entered the kitchen and then looked around, debating what to do. Taylor sighed and wandered around the kitchen. Her dressed swayed back and forth as she sauntered around the room. Her blonde curls were held back by a big decorated barrette but they trailed down her back. She was a bit dressed up but not much... Tay only had red lipstick and some mascara on. Her eyelashes were a little long and her lips were perched with a smile, full of hope and dreams. You could see a little sliver of her sparkling white teeth. Taylor had wanted to look nice since she always wanted to and because there was always a chance that Nash would be there. She felt that she should look nice for her boyfriend even though he probably say she looked nice in just jeans and a t-shirt. Tay loved when he called her beautiful… it made her as happy as can be… Taylor wanted to make sure that Nash was happy… She loved seeing his smile. Tay sighed and beamed, thinking of her boyfriend’s smile. It was absolutely adorable and sometimes made her weak-kneed. She was lucky to have such a nice boyfriend.
Taylor glanced around and then twirled once... twice around the kitchen before stopping and leaning against the counter. Tay had a leg out and then had the other, resting against the part that held up the counter. One of her red heels was tapping against the surface that it was on... to a rhythm of a song that she had stuck in her head. The song probably wasn't recognizable to anyone since it was a song that haven’t been made and probably wouldn’t be made. Tay brought a blonde curl around to the front of her shoulder and began to twirl it, making sure her other curls wouldn’t be messed up. Taylor seemed to always be messing with her hair or her necklace but mainly her hair. She pushed away from the counter and started to twirl and dance around, not seeing anyone in the kitchen. Tay would never dance in the kitchen if there were. Soon the dancing started to turn into a waltz. The curl fell back in place as she kept waltzing alone. Her eyes closed and a different song came to mind. Her head swayed a little and her smile grew but not the ear-to-ear kind that Nash usually got. Taylor pushed the thought to the back of her mind that she shouldn’t be dancing in the kitchen because someone probably would come in and see her since she was in her happy place. The thought of something sweet was completely replaced by the song that was in her head now. The environment soon faded away for her and she felt like she was in a meadow during summer, dancing with the sun beaming down at her.

Okay. So food from places like the Three Broomsticks and other wizarding restaurants. Charlie nodded. That made sense. Food growing here? Charlie smiled at that: that made even more sense. "...Right. Thank you, Tag." Because that cleared up a lot for her, and actually made her feel better about using and eating the food here. Which didn't really make sense, but whatever.
"Want to help me make something?" You know, cooking with people was fun. And even if he didn't know how to cook, she could maybe teach him. It was a good skill to have, something she'd learned from the fact that her father seemed to live on takeaway when she wasn't there. That was, until now... but anyway.
Boys liked food, right?
"Um... North England. South of here, though." What with them being in Scotland, or somewhere along those lines. But Tag didn't seem to know much of Englands geography, and she herself didn't know much outside of Leicestershire, so maybe that was a lost cause.

Hey! Tag helped out Charlie! That was good. Now he felt like a good citizen. Student. Person. Yes he did. So he just kept smiling at her. Was this getting weird? Ok, stop smiling....now. "You're welcome, Charlie!" He said with a little finger point.
At the question of Tag possibly making something with Charlie he jumped! Not because she had asked- wait it was because she had asked- but because they would be making something. He loved food. But, all Gryffindors, and all boys loved food no matter what. "Oh! Yes, of course! I'm not a great cook but I'm pretty decent at making anything pasta related." That he could cook. Hands down.
Yes. Boys did like food. Smile!
Tag was momentarily confused. To be honest. But he then smacked his head. "Of course. South of here!" He'd completely, yes, completely forgotten at this very moment that he was in Scotland. It was no wonder why the boy was so confused. "We're in Scotland, I forgot."
So this was the first time that Michael had ventured down to this part of the castle. But he supposed he could be forgiven since he this was only his second year at Hogwarts and it would probably take him all of his seven years to see every part of this huge castle.
The kitchen though was actually the last place he thought that he would visit. He was twelve and really had no interest in cooking and not that he would admit this to anyone but house elves kinda freaked him out.
That said though, he would pretty much do anything to spend time and impress one Alexa Cambridge. So he had invited her down to the kitchen so that they could make their own chocolate frogs.
He entered the kitchen, smiled weakly at the elves that were there pottering around and sat down on one of the stools while he waited for the older Gryffindor girl to arrive.
Taylor twirled her way down to the kitchen. She had a sweet tooth to satisfy and hopefully she might run into a handsome seventh year hufflepuff too. Nashville tapped his fingers on the counter, he looked at the black watch on his wrist, he knew that the pies would be done any minute now. Since he and Taylor got back from Brazil over the holiday the only thing Nashville has been doing is baking pies. It made the seventh year relax when Taylor and him weren't hanging out because they both had Quidditch practice and they both had studies to attend to and well Nashville didn't want to be a clingy boyfriend, that just wasn't him at all. Nashville glanced at his watch again, he looked back over at the oven, now he was in his own little world, his world of being the God of Pie, no one can take that away from him. But Nashville did hope that this would be the end of his mourning. But this pie was not for him, well it was but it wasn't, it was for him and Taylor because it was their one month anniversary. He was getting nervous the longer the pies took to bake he just wanted to surprise his girlfriend.
Nashville turned around to make him look away from the oven, he knew that the pies had to be in there for twenty more minutes but he was just so excited even if it didn't show on his frowny tan face. Nashville looked up, well look what we have here. Nashville's face beamed when he saw his girlfriend. Was she? Was she dancing? No that was a waltz? Maybe. Well Nashville knew that it was a slow dance and that two had to do that dance. Nashville snuck up behind her and took her hand in his. "You know it works better when two are dancing." Nash thought that it had to sound really cheesy, it sounded great in his head though. Nashville began to dance with his girlfriend around the kitchen.

And he was pleased to help, or so it seemed. That was good. Charlie grinned at Tag's 'Your welcome', before surveying the other people in the kitchen, and envying their confidence slightly. Confidence she'd newly found with Tags help. Even if she still felt a little guilty for using the elves food. Maybe she'd leave them a little something.
Did they like pasta?
"Pasta it is, then!" Charlie said with another smile, before opening a cupboard and digging around for some ingredients. Being tall came in handy at times, no more asking people to get things for her, like her sister had to. "You got a favourite kind?" Maybe she could teach him to cook other stuff, too.
Cooking was fun. Learning was fun. What could be better, right?
She giggled a little at Tag as he smacked himself, trying to hide it by proceeding to tie her hair up and wash her hands. She didn't want him to hate her for laughing at his misfortune of sorts. "In Scotland we are," she confirmed. "Unless that's all a big ploy to keep this place hidden."

Her eyes opened automatically at someone taking her hand. An ear-to-ear smile came at the sound of his voice. A blush instantly showed on her cheeks and she giggled, leaning in and kissing him. Tay kept dancing with and smiling as big as she could. She loved dancing… and Nash so dancing with Nash was amazing. ”It does work better when two are dancing.” Her skirt flared out a little as she spun sometime then she giggled as she saw Nash’s face… more particular his lips. She bit her lip, trying not to laugh as she slid a hand away and wiped at them then took his hand again. ”Your lips might look a little redder for like a day… Some of my lipstick must have come off when I kissed you.” Tay giggled and gave him a smile, ”Sorry about that.” Taylor laid her head on his chest a little, ”Didn’t mean to make it so.” She couldn’t help but giggle at it though and she looked back up at him. ”What do you think of my outfit anyways?” Tay pulled away a little and gave him a twirl then went back to dancing with him. She looked up at him, ”Did I totally miss you or did you just come in when I was dancing?” Taylor tilted her head and smiled.

She would have arrived at the kitchen sooner but she needed to find her kneazle first and have him keep an eye on her candy bag while she was gone. Ever since her first year she wasn't all that keen on just leaving it thrown down but there was no need for it today, not when she and Michael would be making their own chocolate frogs. Brilliant idea really, she should remember to tell him that.
Lex tickled the pear in the painting then stepped inside to find the boy had already arrived. Not leaving her to wait, extra points to him right there.
"Hey!" She glanced around at the busy little house elves before focusing on him again. "I've been giving this some thought." She said, making her way over to him and plopping down on the stool next to his. "Chocolate frogs hop. We're going to need ours hopping too afterwards so definitely some casting." Question was...what WAS the specific spell they used on them? Probably should have asked Professor Fuller on her way down here.
"Any suggestions?"

The elves were making rather uneasy. Maybe he should have come up with some other idea. Lex was usually up for anything he could have suggested anything, but he knew just how much she loved chocolate so this seemed to be the obvious idea.
He was just thinking about getting up and leaving when the older girl stepped into the kitchen. And well now that she was here, all thoughts of leaving and the creepy elves flew from his mind and broad smile lit up his face.
This was a good idea.
Mikey watched as she came nearer and he loved how she got straight to business. And he hadn't thought of that. He had just thought they would make the frogs and then just simply eat them. Of course her idea was so much better and he immediately sat up straighter.
"Um...isn't it Locomotor something?" He knew that was the spell to make objects move but he didn't know if it worked on food. Merlin! He wished he knew more spells. It was hard to impress a girl when he hardly knew anything.

Locomotor something? Yeah, that was about as much as she knew as well. Lex tried giving it some more thought but when nothing was coming she finally shrugged. "That'll happen at the end, by then we'll have figured it out. If not, we'll take them to Professor Fuller and have him cast something on them. He's the Charms Professor, he ought to know how to get them hopping the way they're meant to." Sound good? She just wanted to get right into making the chocolate-y goodness because eating usually happened after. Obviously.
"That being the case we should get right to it." Lex hopped up from the stool and took a brief look around. The elves might have been busy, she didn't really want to bother them all that much...but they might have to considering she was rubbish in the kitchen...oh merlin.
"So!" She swerved around so she was facing him again. "You know what you're doing right?" Because she didn't. Nope. No clue. The kitchen was not her area of expertise and for the sake of making sure the chocolate actually turned out good, she wouldn't pretend it was. Noooo. That was how one went about ruining the cooking...baking....whatever....
Where would they even start?

Where would they even start?
Well she was certainly full of confidence wasn't she? The girl was so sure that they were going to manage this spell by the time they had finished making the frogs. Mikey wasn't so sure. Firstly, they didn't even know what spell to use and whether either of them could actually do the spell, not to mention that they had to make the chocolate frogs first.
Then she went and mentioned the Charms Professor helping them out and a small scowl appeared on his face. He was the one all the girls drooled over. Surely Alexa wasn't one of those girls, was she? "Yeah I guess." He didn't think it sounded like a good idea at all but he didn't want Alexa knowing what he was thinking.
He watched as she jumped up from the stool, look around the kitchen blankly before looking back at him.
"Er..." The look he was giving her was just as blank as the one she was wearing. He just came up with these ideas. Didn't mean he necessarily knew how to execute them. "Don't we just have to melt the chocolate and then put them into moulds?"
Okay, so he paid a little attention when his parents cooked. But he was sure that he was forgetting a few ingredients.

SPOILER!!: She's offended and says she doesn't drool over ANYONE :P

Okay, so he paid a little attention when his parents cooked. But he was sure that he was forgetting a few ingredients.
It was only because she looked to him for an answer that she saw the scowl now firmly placed on his face. "What?" Did he...not want to have them hopping anymore because of the effort involved or did he simply not want to enlist the help of a Professor? She could understand both but see, she'd left all her hopping chocolate frogs up in her dorm and would have liked these to do the trick until she could go back for them.
And he didn't know what they were doing either...not completely. Still, he knew more than she did so she'd take it!
"That's it? Just melt it and put it in molds like that? Nothing else?" Pfffft, there was nothing to this cooking thing!! Someone should have told her earlier. Not that she would start making her own. No....she much preferred the ones coming from the shop considering she had very little faith in her own culinary skills but it was like Mikey said, they just needed to melt it.
"I'll get the chocolate, you search the cupboards for any sign of a frog mold we can use for after the chocolate's nice and melted." She headed for the fridge and began her hunt for chocolate. "Do you think we might need sugar too? In case the chocolate isn't sweet enough?" What if the kitchen only had the bitter kind? That would need some sugar for sure.
Aha! Here we go. Chocolate.

Aww man!
She didn't miss a trick did she? He was going to have to learn how to hide his emotions better. Something he might get his father to teach him. Rubbing the back of his neck, Mikey have her a smile, hoping that it didn't look guilty in any way before speaking. "I just thought we could do this on our own, you know? That way we get to take all the credit." And hopefully she fell for that dribble that just came out of his mouth.
Michael had been certain that making chocolate frogs with Alexa was going to be a cinch, probably because he had just assumed that she would have some cooking skills. It appears though, she was as clueless as he was. Actually she was even more clueless than he was. "Well..." He was sure that there was something else. "I don't know." Might as well be honest about it.
Right. Cupboards. Mikey slid off the stool he was sitting on and headed in the opposite direction of Alexa and began to rummage through the cupboards looking for chocolate moulds. He managed to find a bunch of them in the fifth cupboard and he placed them onto the bench.
He raised his eyebrows at Alexa's question and let out a small chuckle. "I guess it couldn't hurt. Maybe we should make our own variation of chocolate frogs." He picked up the various moulds and brought them over to where Alexa was standing. "We could put whatever we like into them."
Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite

So it was like that...right. She nodded slowly figuring it wasn't that big a deal anyway. "Fine by me. Between the two of us I'm sure we'll figure something out, if not we're cutting the heads off so them not hopping will be more logical." Might as well. Whole frogs were meant to hop, if they weren't going to hop then they didn't need to be whole. Geddit?
Lex pulled a couple bars of chocolate from the fridge. If she had to guess she'd say they were Hershey chocolate bars but she didn't have to guess, in fact she would just taste it. Alexa broke off a small portion near the top of when and popped it in her mouth. Yup. Hershey. Just as she thought. These were really good. One of her favourites. "We'll use these. They'll make our creations heavenly--oh, unless you don't like Hershey stuff because I think I saw another type in there as well. I could grab some of that?" Compromise because they were both meant to enjoy this.
And there was the second year having another spout of genius! "We could! Then we wouldn't have to worry about getting the recipe wrong! Brilliant!" GRIN.
But now she would need more things, all the things, everything that would make it heaven in a mold. Let's see....
Lex walked to a cupboard and threw it open. Sugar was a must. "Grab anything you think we'll need."

Oookay then.
Sometimes Michael wasn't quite sure what went on in Alexa's head. She wanted to chop the head off the head of their chocolate frogs if they can't get them to hop around. Wouldn't the logical thing to do would be to make something different? He was not going to say that to her though because she looked so excited about the whole chocolate frog thing. "Sounds like a plan." Like he wouldn't do anything she wanted.
While he waited for Alexa to finish getting the chocolate, Mikey couldn't help but grin at her eating some of it. She never stopped. It occurred to him then that they should be using cooking chocolate. And he was just about to point that out, but quickly stopped himself. He didn't want her thinking that he was some little know-it-all and besides it couldn't hurt. "No, Hershey's is fine. Although maybe we could use the other stuff anyway." You know, for variety.
And there she went complimenting him again! This time there was no embarrassment but a HUGE BEAMING GRIN!! Today was going to be an awesome day. Mikey quickly headed off to the other cupboards at her instruction and began pulling out all sorts of ingredients.
"I got marshmallow's, Bertie Botts, sprinkles and some peanuts. What have you got?"
It looked as thought Olly was considering dressing her up in heavy, shiny armor. But in the end, it was a negative. Which was probably best because judging by how clunky and weighty it looked to be, Schuyler may have found herself being squashed into nothingness just by the sheer weight of it all. A white horse, though? "Oh, that sounds elegant." Riding off into the sunset on a white horse. Very picturesque. Only she'd never been on a horse. It was a nice thought, though.
But yes, Olly was going to have to choose the cure for their boredom. When the other girl surveyed the corridor, Schuyler shifted her weight and glanced around. Really, there were just portraits here. And they both knew that those weren't proving very exciting. They weren't even talking, for Merlin's sake. But what Olly did suggest had nothing to do with boring hallways or portraits because she suggested cooking. Something that would be fun and actually useful in the future. "Aaah, yeah! Okay. Lead the way, top chef."
Onward. To the kitchens......
Oh good. This was going to be interesting then. Since they never did get around to have that cooking class thing Schuyler had wanted to do. THANK MERLIN for that. At least now it would just be them. She just hoped that this wouldn't give the Gryffindor any ideas. If so, Olly would probably try to veeeery conveniently fall ill on the day. Els would vouch for her. Probably. Hopefully. Even though, she wasn't entirely sure she'd be able to lie to Schuyler about this.
So, hopefully she just wouldn't remember the whole cooking together idea.
Walking just a tiny bit ahead of the other girl, Olly repeatedly turned her head to grin at her. Also to make sure she was following. Once they'd made it to the kitchen level and had passed the corridor that led to her Common Room, the Hufflepuff slowed down slightly. Hopefully they would be alone in the kitchen. Alone except for the house elves of course. But apart from them...Olly really didn't have a Plan B, so they better not be disturbed by some chatty, annoying students.
Tickle the pear, smirk at Schuyler, open the door, step inside, beckon for Schuyler to follow.
"Sooo...this is a kitchen." Olly tried to sound like a tour guide as she made a graaaand gesture with her hand to indicate the whole kitchen. Since Schuyler didn't know how to cook and all. So she wasn't sure she'd actually BEEN in a kitchen before. She smirked at her teasingly before taking another couple of steps forward. Yes, so here they were. And it looked pretty empty too. Good.

Schuyler followed a step or two behind Olly as they made their way down to the kitchens. She felt a little like a duck, following the leader. And every time that the other girl threw a little grin back at her, Schuyler flashed one at her in return. Maybe Olly was looking back because she was suspicious that she might get down to the kitchen only to realize that Schuyler hadn't been following at all. That she'd rerouted without a word. But really, she doubted that that was the reason. Because why in the world would she want to miss out on pancake making with Olly Clarke? You couldn't turn that down. Or Schuyler couldn't.
Tickling the pear. It was a little bizarre. Why the pear? Why not the apple? But she continued on in behind the Hufflepuff like a good duck. And gave an amused smile when Olly took it upon herself to serve as Schuyler's exaggerated tour guide. The theatrics were pretty convincing, by the way. "A kitchen? I've never heard of such a thing.." She played along, her chin up and her head swiveling around as if she really had never seen one before. But her eyes soon dropped to Olly, the corners of her lips upturned again. She was happy to find that it was just them in here. You never knew how messy pancake making could get..
Schuyler pulled one of the drawers open and picked up a whisk. Examined it. "I'm a little disappointed that we don't have chef hats, you know," she teased, now lightly poking her friend in the stomach with the cooking utensil.

Before Tag could blink Charlie was already grabbing ingredients to make this pasta. Hey, at least they were actually going to be productive in the kitchen. But eating in the kitchen would just be productive, though, nothing was better than actually making your own food and eating it. "Pasta, alright!" Tag said cheerfully as he punched the air. Favorite kind? Oh dear. Tag could probably go on forever, but he came to his senses because he didn't believe there were ingredients to make lasagna here. "Spaghetti or fettuccine will do just fine!" He answered her, as he started moving around pretending to be looking for stuff.
Oh, one thing he could do was wash his hands. His dad always stressed that whenever Tag had cooked with him. "Yeah, Scotland. I forgot my train of thought there. So, that would explain my extreme confusion. Double confusing people. We're in Scotland but not in Scotland. Double hidden identity." He said with a smirk.
Soooooo "Are you going to make the sauce or pasta?" The little blonde dude would be okay with whichever she decides.

She had to admit, she didn't think Mikey would have understood the importance of cutting the heads off but his response told her that he was possibly seeing the method behind the madness as well. Even if he didn't, he didn't ask for an explanation of her actions so she would go with the answer given; he liked the idea.
The good news was he wasn't opposed to Hershey, the other news was he thought they could use both? Was that what he was saying or was it more like a...instead of kinda thing because she was less okay with that. Lex decided to go with the idea that appealed to her more so she would assume he meant to have both be used. Easy enough and she turned toward the fridge again. Where in here did she see that thing again....oh right behind the milk. Would they need milk? He didn't say.
Back to the cupboard she'd been searching just now. After placing the chocolate on the counter she got down and began searching through the low cupboards first. Sure enough she found a sack of sugar--oh helloooooo there sugar. She would keep it right next to her during this whole cooking ordeal.
Alexa heaved it onto the counter before checking the overhead ones. From what she could hear, Mikey got most of the essentials. "Let's see...I found the sugar, there's this can of whipped cream...would we need sprinkles?"

It had been hours...HOURS before Cutty saw an older student who had an inkling of how to get into the castle's kitchen. And even then, Cutty still had to go down to his common room, fetch a few of his school books and use them for height assistance so that he could reach the pear.
Once inside, the boy immediately began to reach for ready-foods, pomegranates, bananas, and apples. Things he could help himself to without much need of anyone else. Stuffing his mouth full of banana until his cheeks puffed out Cutty arranged his fruit in an impolite manner for his own amusement and remembering his Herbology homework, took out his wand.
He appeared to freeze in place as he could do nothing but chew for a moment, then finally swallowing the banana he tapped his wand on the tip of the shining red apple and spoke the incantation. It was something of a sloppy slicing job he'd done on the apple, but he kept on trying it out, until he had several randomly slices of apple all of random shape and size. "Siccus Aerous!" He said performing the circular motion and hit one of the slices. It responded by shriveling as if aging right before Cutty, who lifted the piece to his mouth and noted the amplified sweetness. He then moved on to the next piece.
She had to admit, she didn't think Mikey would have understood the importance of cutting the heads off but his response told her that he was possibly seeing the method behind the madness as well. Even if he didn't, he didn't ask for an explanation of her actions so she would go with the answer given; he liked the idea.

Michael wasn't sure that they were going to need anymore sugar. He was pretty sure that the chocolate had enough sugar as it was, but once again he wasn't go to tell her that she couldn't have it and well it probably couldn't hurt. Their teeth were probably going to disagree but it was just this once.
Only it probably wouldn't be but so long as his father never found out then all was good. And why he was thinking about getting cavities and what his father would do if he found out that his son was gorging on sugary foods, Michael had no idea so he gave himself a shake and focused back on Alexa.
"What's wrong with sprinkles?" He thought that they would give the chocolate frogs a little bit of colour. "Don't frogs usually have spots on them?" Or was he thinking of something else?
WHIPPED CREAM!!
IN A CAN!!
Michael moved closer to her with a wicked gleam in his eye and picked up the can. "I've always loved this stuff." he said, giving the can a shake and in one quick motion he pulled off the lid, turned the can so that it was facing Lex and pressed the nozzle down.
Schuyler followed a step or two behind Olly as they made their way down to the kitchens. She felt a little like a duck, following the leader. "So, pancakes.."
Olly nodded seriously. Or as seriously as she could anyway. The corners of her lips were quivering slightly, on the verge of curling up into a grin. "Yes. This is where the magic happens." Aka food. At this she'd already given up on keeping up the tour guide act and was openly grinning at Schuyler. She had made a funny with the magic. Because personally, she still liked doing things the non-magic way. At least in the kitchen.
Following the Gryffindor over to the counters, Olly watched as she pulled a whisk out of one of the drawers. Her eyes returned to Schuyler's face, however, when she spoke. And poked her stomach. "Well, we can improvise." With that she reached on a shelf behind Schuyler for a colander. With a smirk she moved a little closer so could place it on the other girl's head. "There you go." It would have to do for now. Though, Olly made a mental note to buy (?) some chef hats for next time.
It would definitely suit Schuyler.
Yes, pancakes. "We need a bowl." At this she looked at Schuyler expectantly, nodding and waiting for her to get one. In the meantime she could get the ingredients.
