End of Term Quidditch Awards Celebration Just outside Hogwarts' Quidditch Stadium, a massive purple tent has been erected for a special occasion. Once inside, a large stage lit by a magical, golden glow is the first thing anyone will see. A large yellow and black banner is the backdrop for a single podium, while all four house colors adorn the sides of the tent. A large swath of seats fills in the central portion of the circus-style tent. In the back, it becomes clear that the house elves had their hand in the upcoming festivities from the large spread of treats. A snitch-shaped cake is the main attraction; cookies iced to look like bludgers and quaffles, along with beaters' bat-shaped donuts and large quantities of pumpkin juice, are also provided. Professor Tyner has dressed up for the celebration. She stands by the entrance of the tent waiting to welcome all attendees and congratulate the players. So come on in and mingle with friends or staff members. The ceremony will begin in a few minutes. |
Hecate made her way to the celebration. She wasn't her calm self, she seemed stressed and worn out. She was sure to find the Headmistress here, as well as be present for her Snakes... ... Birds, meet stone. |
DROO, hi! EMILY, hi! hihi Of course the Headmistress was here, attending the end of term quidditch whatever thing. She HAD to support #TeamHufflepuff! They were her old house! And what a bunch of winners they were. She sauntered in in a good mood, then casually made her way toward the Quidditch official. "Tiara. Lovely set-up you have here." And oh, wow, SOMEBODY was dressed to the nines. She gave the woman's dress a head-to-toe glance, then nod, of approval. Merlin. Now Bunz felt silly for wearing pants. But... there was Hecate, and she wasn't too over-the-top either. "Hecate," she greeted the potions professor levelly. |
Anyoneeee Even though Schuyler was not a member of the Gryffindor quidditch team, she was still all too content to go to this quidditch celebration. She even wore red. For Gryffindor. This aside, she was here to celebrate all her quidditch friends and even the ones who weren't really her friends. Also the treats. Also, shindigs like this were fun, and they gave her an excuse to dress up, which she liked to do all too much. Briefly, she wondered how Aidan would show up, as she was now aware that fancy attire was not exactly his thing.. "Hi, Professor Tyner," she greeted with a smile. That color looked good on the woman, she noted. The fifth year walked on into the massive tent and her eyes were immediately drawn to the stage, where a soft golden light illuminated the area. It was pretty. Her eyes trailed over now to the table with the food. From here, it looked like mostly dessert things. Treats. Sweets. The snitch cake caught her eye first, and she figured that when it was cut, a quidditch player ought to be the first to have a slice. |
Anyone can have the leprechaun! Tag walked down towards the Quidditch pitch and shortly found the tent in which the celebration would be held, and walked right inside. It looked like he was exceptionally early. Which was new for him. Upon entering he saw Professor Tyner by the entrance "Hello Professor. The set up all looks very nice. An you look very pretty today." Nod. Yes. That was good, right? The boy then went on his tiptoes and saw the table filled with OHMYGOSH FOOD!!!!! The boy was grinning cheek to cheek, but he didn't want to be rude and immediately walk over there. "Hi Professor Lafay. Hello Head Mistress." Tag said greeting the Professor and Headmistress, yes, still smiling. Good manners. |
Come talk to us! Forrest DID take a shower after the match (his hair was still damp) so he was clean of any sweat, but he wasn't clean of his smug manner. Nope. This was THEIR cup and mainly their celebration. He didn't care if they would also award the best players. The main focus would still be Hufflepuff's success and that deserved smugness. People would just have to put up with him, it seemed. Entering the tent in his school robes, he first saw the Quidditch teacher--Tyner, was it?--then the Headmistress, then the students there, and went scarlet from head to toe. He felt so STUPID. He WAS stupid. Of course this was a celebration and people were ought to wear FANCY clothes in them. He looked back at the castle and contemplated changing his clothes. But he was lazy to cover that distance. Plus, what if something important happened while he was away? Nah. He was just going to look dignified. He lifted his head once again and continued walking inside. See the Hufflepuff crest on his robes? He was a part of that team. The CHAMPIONS. Yeah. Come congratulate him, people. |
Hellos to those here and for anyone else :) Cool tent. Ella approached slowly, fidgeting in her dress as she did. She wasn't exactly sure what the dress code for this thing was but she figured black dress was good either way so she went with that. You couldn't go wrong with black. Entering the celebration, the blonde paused to greet Professor Tyner. She was looking quite fancy, did she know? Which was awesome because that meant she hadn't went overboard with the dress thing. Sweet. "Hello Professor." Grin. "You look nice." And so did everything else in here, actually. It was a really nice set up and there was food so yeah, she was digging this. And Professor Lafay looked...like she was on a mission. Ella gave her a polite smile before her gaze went to the headmistress. Was she happy for Hufflepuff? Ella suspected as much and she was just glad she could make the woman proud. Assuming she was proud. Oh gosh, was she proud? O.O ...Anyway. "Hello Headmistress, Professor Lafay." FOOD! And people! "Hi Schuyler. Nice dress." Nodnod. It was really pretty and Ella liked the color. As for the leprechaun, he got a big smile too. "Sir Sassy-pants!" He didn't mind her calling him that, yeah? "Any sign of our boy yet?" Yes, their boy. Ella shared Alec with Tag. Or actually, Tag shared with Ella. And she was totally okay with it. She was a leprechaun fan, you know. And that bludger cookie? That was hers. Just hers. NOM. And Forrest! Hi Forrest! "Looking good, little badger." Grin. |
Nigel was sure he was under dressed when he walked in. Was this suppose to be strictly formal, because nobody told Nigel. He was wearing just a normal outfit just with a tie. Seems like he should have dressed formally. Whatever But Tag was somewhat casual and since he was sure he was not going to win anything it should be alright. Now this whole thing was new to Nigel. Quidditch awards and everything. The real question was where they going to give all the houses trophies because the is just dumb. Just give the winner the trophy and move on. Who wants a trophy for coming in fourth place. "Hello Professor Lafay. Hello, Headmistress." Yes, he was not the first student here. Nice. "Hey Schuyler" . His eyes quickly found the food and it did look delicious. And there was Tag and Ella. Which meant that Alec would not be far behind."Hey Tag and Ella" Time to sit down. |
Anyone? ^_^ Of course Alec Blake Summers was not too far behind. No. Not at all. Because... Quidditch-related things, you know. He felt as if he needed to be here. So, Alec headed down to the large purple tent, his hands dug into the pockets of his jeans. He... didn't really know what was required for them to wear -- Jeans? Converses? Was he allowed to wear that Snitch t-shirt LochNessie had gotten for him years ago? -- so... he had improvised. This meant that the dorm was messier than ever but... that was something the boy could worry about Nearing the entrance of the tent, the boy loosened his tie a little bit more before heading over towards... the Quidditch Lady? Yeah, that was her. "Erm... hey Professor!" Professor. It just seemed right, you know? "Brilliant set up!" Because it did look great. A simple peek inside the tent told him all he needed to know. He gave her a small smile before heading into main arena. ... Right. MORE professors. "Hey Headmistress! Professor Lafay!" Waaaaave! Looking around, his eyes then landed on... people. Student people. People he mostly knew, and some he knew a lot better than others. "Hey, you guys!" The Schuyler girl, Ravenclaw Funny Dude, Forrest and his two favourite blondes. ... Also. The boys were dressed kind of casually. Did this mean that he had overdressed...? ... Shrug. He cast his eyes around the tent, taking in everything in there, until he spotted... something. Something that looked a lot like the snitch? ... Yeah, curious Summers was curious. He moved away from the spot he had been standing and over towards the food table, the grin on his face spreading even wider when he realised what the snitch like object was. "Wow!" A SNITCH CAKE. The house elves had really outdone themselves, did they know? More important questions were floating through his brain, though. Questions like: were they allowed to have this? And was someone meant to cut it or... could they... help themselves? Because hungry seventeen year old right here! |
Bit of everyone. Ahhh. Ella came in shortly after Tag and she was looking nice as well. "Hello Ella! You look pretty today." Yes, we know you like calling him Sir Sassy Pants. Tag did have his rare moments of sass, he guessed, so he would not object to his nickname. Boy, he had unique nicknames, didn't he? And, apparently they owned Alec, which made Tag smile. "No, I haven't seen him yet. He's probably ruffling his hair to the perfect proportion." That guy could spend minutes on his, but Tag GOT IT. There came Nigel near by, but it seemed soon after his little greet he went to go take a seat. Tag would just hang around with Ella for the moment till they were told to take a seat. "Hi Nigel!" He quickly greeted the ravenclaw before he was out of earshot. Who was this little badger ( Forrest) Ella was speaking to? Tag lifted up his hand and outstretched it to the boy. "Hey, I'm Tag." This boy had to be on the Hufflepuff team. He was wearing yellow after all. Then Schuyler. Tag didn't know her too well, or at all, if he could remember, but he had seen her come in and out of the Gryffindor common room a few times this term. So the blonde boy merely waved at the girl Ella had addressed. But, just as soon as Tag had greeted everyone here came his favorite hair ruffler. Almost on cue. Tag waved back to his |
Professors, Headmistress, Alec, Ella & others ^_^ Of course Adi could not miss this. He was there for his awesome House! Not to mention the food too. He excitedly stepped under the tent, glancing around as he did so. "Hi, Professors!'' he greeted Lafay and Tyner. "Hello, Headmistress!'' he added to the Hogwarts head. And look! Captain Ella! "Hi, Ella!'' Adi called, approaching her. "You look pretty,'' he added shyly. She did! He looked around. Hi, Alec!'' Did he get a hair ruffle? Oh! He had not greeted the others. "Hi, you guys.'' Adi grinned at the others. Another Hufflepuff (Forrest), the Claw prefect, the dude that had gotten that spell cast on him in Divination (Tag) and the Gryffindor girl (Schuyler). |
Anyone =D Adelaide had taken some time picking out her outfit. Celebration to her meant wearing a dress and she was very excited about being able to get to dress up for once. Even if she had a couple of quidditch bruises, but that was nothing a little cover-up couldn't hide. She made her way into the tent, trying her best to keep a smile on her face. Obviously Slytherin hadn't done so well this term, but hey. She was still here. Not to mention Addi's dress was in traditional snakey colors. So house support yes? Now if only she could find one of her teammates or other friends... |
Pretty, eh? That was nice of Tag to say. The blonde looked down at her outfit a little sheepishly before looking up again, a small smile on her face. ”Thanks! You look nice too.” And she was sort of jealous she hadn’t thought to wear her converse. His feet were probably more comfy at the moment since her flats tended to pinch her toes. Whoever said pain is beauty deserved a nice bludger to the back. Mhm. The seventeen year old laughed at the ruffling comment and was inclined to agree. ”I bet you’re right. He does like to make sure his hair looks presentable.” Which it always did. Mhm. And this place was filling up, yeah? There was a Nigel and the blonde gave him a small smile and a wave. “Hey Nigel.” The Ravenclaw was shortly followed by Adi and the boyfriend who did look like he’d spent some time ruffling that hair of his. GRIN! ”Adi, hello!” BEAM. “Thanks, kiddo. You look nice too.” As for the hair whipper, he was more interested in the snitch cake. Of course he would be. Grin. Tap. Tap. Tap. ”Your captain doesn’t get hugs?” Pouty looks for you, boyfriend. Come on, Summers, properly greet your girlfriend. And he looked really nice, did he know? |
She'd actually arrived at the tent quite early, dressed as casually as possible. Like tee-shorts-badge casual. And then Alice had caught sight of Tyner's ball gown attire... and... and... ... changing. Changing sounded smart. It hadn't taken her ages to find something slightly Gryffindor-ish in Dora's collection of dresses. The fact that her best had any article of clothing that she actually thought looked decent was surprising, but Alice hadn't questioned it, only shrunk the dress a bit to make it fit and pinned her badge to it. And then returned. Only to see that... that there were people there now in jeans. Jeans? What? Damn it. Alice looked for a table to hide behind. |
Closing This OOC NOTE: Hey all, sorry to put a damper on the party, but Emily's area has been experiencing severe weather. She's unsure of her internet situation but she is okay.Emily's Edit: Go ahead and RP to your heart's content! |
Anyone Awkward.. Was that the word on how she felt at the moment. Maybe.. Minerva walked into the tent and looked around. She saw her team, but didn't just hurry over to them. No she stood at the entrance looking around. She had been to many of these over the past seven terms, but this.. this was the last one and her team did amazing at the last match and she was so proud of them even if it was hard to sit and the stands and watch. She headed into the tent, but instead of finding people to mingle with or her team to hug she went over to the food table and got a little snack and drink before turning around to watch again. She wanted to just take it all in, plus after the past few weeks she just had been feeling awkward with her team. Not that they had done anything to make her feel that way, no they made sure she knew she was still part of it. It just was different now.. Keeping a smile on her face she just kept quietly watching. |
Schuyler. Forrest. Adelaide. It only made sense that she came here when she attended almost all the matches. Yeah? Though Slytherin team did not win like last year's she still bothered to come. Because school spirit and all. And there might be food. And this was a very good excuse to not have to study. Exams were nearing. FREAKING OUT ALERT! Cassia immediately tried to push the thought away as she headed towards the tent in which the celebration was held. She wanted to enjoy her time. The blond made her way into the purple tent, which she approved of because purple was her favorite color and all. Slowly she walked further in inspecting the faces. Everyone was pretty much dressed up for the occasion. She glanced down at her simple dress and wondered if she looked off. She hoped not. Though it surely wasn't compared to Schuyler's dress. "Hey, there." She grinned at the Gryffindor. "How're you?" she asked and quickly added, "Besides looking great," Because you look great was overrated. And the snake was in the mood to joke. She also hadn't talked to Schuyler for quite a while. Probably because she was flanked by Olly almost all the time. Letting her eyes trail further down the place, she spotted someone she hadn't gotten to talk to much either in the past period. "T'sup, winner." She winked at Forrest who was looking incredibly cute and proud standing there. Remember when he was afraid of her? Man, that seemed like ages ago. "So, describe your feelings in only three words." she demanded trying to sound serious and intimidating. Could she even be seen like that from his point of view now? Her team might have not won but she was so very proud of them and glad they were all safe and not injured after this intense season. She searched for her fellow snake and only spotted one. Adelaide! Her dormmate! And who did great it despite it being her first season to play. How did she know? So she heard everyone saying. And anyway, at least the ginger had guts to go out there on a broom in front of hundreds pair of eyes as well as flying crazy balls. Nope, not Cassia's atmosphere. "Hi, Addi," She smiled at her. |
Text Cut: Bunzinator Ah, the Headmistress was here! Good, good. That would certainly lend an extra air of importance to the occasion, would it not? "Why thank you, Annie!" she said with a deferential nod. "It's amazing what a few banners and the help of the Hogwarts house elves can accomplish. I just wanted to do something special for my Quidditch students, and this was what I came up with." They certainly didn't have anything like this when she had been in school here, at least. Maybe this was actually the norm now. "But might I say that you look simply smashing this afternoon." Tiara had heard that fashion was one of Annie's weak spots. "Please, enjoy!" she finished, indicating the insides of the tent. Text Cut: Schuyler Ah, a student! Good good, they had seen the notices on their house boards. "Good afternoon," she replied to the young lion. Had they met before? I... don't think so. At least that gave Tiara an excuse to not know the girl's name. Text Cut: Tag A second Gryffindor. I hope that announcement didn't get taken down in the other common rooms. It wouldn't be much of a celebration if the winners weren't all here, after all. "Good afternoon, Tag. Yes, thank you. Although I cannot take full credit, of course, since the house elves prepared the spread in the back." She smiled down at him at the compliment to her outfit. "It seems you have had some training in good etiquette, Mr. Kildare. Excellent. Please, go enjoy yourself," she finished, gesturing inside the tent. Text Cut: Ella "Ah, Miss Bishop, the lady of the hour! And dressed in a House color as well, very classy." The compliment to her own outfit was mostly ignored in favor of the victorious Captain's arrival. "Please, this is, as they say, your party. Go enjoy!" As Ella was about to depart, she leaned in close and whispered in the girl's ear. "The bludger cookies are the best. Get one before they're all snatched up." She winked and gestured towards the food table. Oh yes, Tyner had heard about the Badger obsession with cookies. Text Cut: Alec And not surprisingly, the Hufflepuff Seeker was close behind his Captain. "Mr. Summers, I'm glad you could make it! The championship-winning Seeker is, after all, bound to be one of the most popular people at the party." So it was a good thing he was here. Tiara had a secret fear that the whole thing would be a flop. Planning and hosting social gatherings was not exactly in the list of her top ten skills. But speaking of the set up, he had complimented her on it. "Well thank you, there's nothing a few banners and some house elf aid can't do, it seems!" Plus a few charms, of course, such as the one currently creating the glow around the stage. "Please, go enjoy!" she said, ushering him into the tent. Text Cut: Adi As Alec made his way in, Tiara caught another greeting, this time from a student she hadn't yet had the pleasure to meet. "Good afternoon and welcome! Enjoy the party!" |
Ella and well anyone else =D Of course Josephina HAD to show up because most importantly of all, she was Head of House for the winning team. And she was uber proud of her house, so why shouldn't she be there? Entering the tent, she glanced around and took in the decor for a moment or two before deciding who to approach first. The quidditch official, perhaps? OR her captain, for SURE! Spotting her first, the head of house strode over to the sixth year's side. "Captain Bishop!" Hadley exclaimed, approaching the all too happy captain (but why SHOULDN'T she be all smiles). "I must say, .... well done! AND by golly, that snidge cake looks almost too good to eat!" Yes, she still called it a snidge. Old habits were hard to break. |
West had decided to be in a good mood. It wasn't even pretending, it was a decision. He'd used eye drops to fix his eyes up after blood vessel issues from stress a few hours earlier, and there wasn't any physical sign that there was anything wrong with him so he was good to go with his decided good mood and whatever. The tall Slytherin had a spring in his step and a smile on his face when he arrived at the giant purple tent. Hey there was food here, right? |
Let's PLAY! She wasn't late was she? The seventh year walked into the quidditch party set slowly looking around and noting that there was barely anyone in the tent... This was suppose to be a party yeah? She tossed her Hair back over her shoulder and played with the charms on her necklace. Oh there was Min and an Odessa. They both got waves as she saw them. hey guys, hey. Anyway there was snacks here and Ari made a beeline right for the snack table grabbing a cup of pumpkin juice and downing half of it before stopping. She was thirsty ok? |
Anya walked into the party holding Jake's hand. She was proud of him. Why? Because he was on the leaderboard for keeping, chasing, and beating! Proud Anya was proud. And she was pretty sure she'd been talking his ear off since they left the common room. |
Another Quidditch awards ceremony thing. At least this one was a group one instead of separated by common rooms. Those weren't as fun as these that included everyone. Especially since those had been sorta ruined by stupid dementors. But this term was free of them and it was very nice and lovely and all that good stuff. Penelope entered the tent and saw that a lot of people were there already, and she might have started making her way through the crowd to find someone to talk to, but then she spotted the food table. So, of course, she immediately went in that direction. Mmmm. Food. It all looked amazing. She picked up a quaffle!cookie to start off with and took a bite. Just as yummy as it looked. Awesome. |
Quote:
"Hungry?" he asked. Without waiting for an answer he headed over to food and grabbed a quaffle cookie and handed it to her, then grabbed one for himself. Food was the best part of Quidditch parties. |
Well, now the tent was filling up with more and more people. Oh look, there was the cute boy from the train station. He was the seeker for Hufflepuff, wasn't he? There was a dress compliment coming from behind her, and she turned with a smile to see the champion captain herself. "Thanks, Ella. Congrats on the Hufflepuff win, by the way," she added. The team had earned the big banners here, so Schuyler imagined Ella must have been feeling pretty on top of the world right now to have led her team to the championship title. The next voice was considerably lower. Nigel, of course. "Hey, Nigel," she greeted in return. Mr. Quidditch player prefect right here. But she didn't have time to say another word to the guy because then there was Ella's boyfriend, Alec approaching with an exuberant 'Hey guys!' and Schuyler couldn't help but grin, even if she didn't really know him. She caught sight of Tag waving her way, and she waved back with friendly smile. She hadn't really talked to him much, which was fairly inexcusable considering he was a fifth year Gryffindor. She shifted to direct the smile to the first year Hufflepuff who now was bidding hello. Her eyes flickered around and eventually landed on another Gryffindor. The Gryffindor captain, to be more specific. Not only in a dress, but strapless. She wore it well. "Alice," she said, a little louder than normal because of the crowd. "You look really good in that dress." Although the converse with it? Schuyler couldn't say she was a fan. Difference in taste, that's all. There was a flash of blonde and a 'hey there,' and there was Cassia. "Hey yourself," she grinned, giving the Slytherin a poke. "I haven't properly talked to you in ages, you know." Shame on them. Schuyler missed her. But anyway, how was she? "I'm well, no complaints. You?" She lowered her eyes to get a better look at the other girl's dress and she realized that the print was floral. Roses. "Aah! Cute," she said, nodding to it. Noticing a familiar lanky, spring-stepped snake joining everyone, Schuyler threw a smile and a wave in West's direction. Someone was happy. |
Ascanius was super zen right about now. This kind of atmosphere just brought it out in the fifth year. He was just keeping a constant, slight smile present on his face as he nodded at a ton of the people in the room. Sup? S'a cool celebration for Quidditch and whatnot and since he didn't have to fly or anything he was chill with it. See? Zen. Moving across the room, he barely even noticed that he was in the middle of a crowd of people talk. Ugh, good day. |
West, Ascanius, Anyone....... Sky had taken a little bit more care to look a little more dressy than usual, but she really didn't see the need of dragging out her best dress just because of a Quidditch party. Besides, she'd already packed away all her nice stuff, leaving out only what she planned to wear to this year's closing feast. Anyway, she entered the tent, said a quick hi to her fellow snakes West and Ascanius and hurried over to the food table. Mmm, Hogwarts food. Some of the best in the world. Well, except that year that all the elfs had been taken. |
Mo had provided escort for his girls. Or for his girlfriend and then girls who were friends. Regardless, he was here now, and they had disappeared on him in the crowd, leaving him on his own. He kept an eye out, just in case he was needed. Vesper, in particular, needed to be kept close in case she decided to make a run for the castle and escape. He moved through the crowd, eying up the table of food in anticipation. He wanted that whole cake, and he didn't care who had to be trampled for that to happen. When he spotted an Alice, Mo waved cheerfully. "Cat and Ves are around somewhere. You look nice... didja wear blue in support of Ravenclaw?" Because she was just as blue as she was red. Maybe moreso. |
In case anyone was wondering, no, Alexa did NOT plan to get all fancily dressed for this award thing, in fact, if she never saw another dress for the rest of her entire life it would be TOO SOON. Don't ask about her hair either. If she didn't comb it up proper for classes then she wasn't gonna make it all fancy for this either. Nope. She walked in and saw that half of them had gone casual anyway. See? She didn't stick out that much afterall and even if she did, she didn't care. Couldn't you tell? The first person she spotted happened to be Alice and she made a beeline for the girl. If possible, she'd just stick with her for the evening or something. "We're getting better at this not coming in last in Quidditch thing, you know?" That doubled as hello, in case she couldn't tell. "Nice dress." And somewhat pointed looks. She didn't figure her Captain would put on a dress for something like this. Oh and Cassia....also in a dress. Meh. Lex waved over at her, kinda wanting her to come over but at the same time the girl was talking to other people...it'd be rude of her to expect her to drop them for her wouldn't it. There were others in the room. They all got waves and a small smile. Second place. This was epic stuff. |

He'd just... uh... wait. Or whatever. And try not to oogle her in that dress. Dresses were rare, and while he very, very, very much liked them.... it was unsettling too. What made her wear one? ... okay, he oogled a bit. Just did. Quote:

Theodore was sorta glad that this term's Quidditch season was over. It had been an exhausting one, and they hadn't even come out at the end with good results. It had been fun, though, and interesting playing a new position and all. But Theodore wasn't sure if he was going to sign up for keeper next term. He wore his smart clothes, and some new shoes that his mum had sent him. They were a little big, but it was much better than being too small like his last pair of smart shoes. He kept his head down with his hands stuffed in his pockets when he arrived at the tent. Oh my gosh, was there anyone here that he actually liked? Theodore looked around quickly, skipping over his best friends head (surprisingly), to look for his girlfriend. 'Cause as well as celebrating Quidditch, they were also celebrating their 2nd anniversary today. :3 Oooh... look at that snitch cake. Could he? Take some? Before everyone else got their grubby hands over it? Theo looked over his shoulder at the Quidditch official... looked back at the cake... hnnnnnnnnnnnn, nah. He'd settle for a quaffle cookie for now. As he turned, he soon noticed West around all the girls. Course. He bro!nodded over in his direction. |
As Tiara surveyed the growing crowd, she decided that it was probably almost time to get going. Strolling over to the podium, she magnified her voice with a quick spell. "Welcome and good afternoon! We'll begin the ceremony properly in about five minutes, so make your last dash to the food table for the time being and start making your way to the seating area, please." Yes, that about summed it up. Finished with her announcement, she decided to take up her post at the tent's entrance once more to catch and latecomers. She took off the voice magnification and strolled back over to the tent's opening. |
A little of West, Hadley, Puff team SPOILER!!: Ariana Minerva had still been standing near the food table just taking everything in. She drank some of her juice and nibbled on her snacks when she saw West come into the tent. She watched him more closely. After talking with him a few times she felt the need to check on him, but wasn't sure if this was the right place. "Hey West.. You guys were strong that last match. It was amazing to watch really." Even though she would have rather been playing it, but water under the bridge now. "You alright?" Just checking and all really. Seeing someone fly towards the snack table Min moved her head just in time to see a wave. Best friend, yep this was who she needed around right now to feel less out of place. She moved closer to Ariana's side where she felt she might glue herself for the rest of the event. No judging or whispers from this one. "Thirsty?" Min giggled as she watched Ari down her juice. "You look nice." Glancing around again she sighed, "Can you believe this is the last quidditch ceremony for us?" Like really it was crazy it was over so soon. Seeing Hadley walk in Minerva gave a small smile and wave watching as she moved towards the puff team. Min still was questioning going over yet. She would let them have their moment that deserved it for that win. Giving a few of them waves she took another bite of her cake. |
Parties cannot start without the Head Girl, ya know? Of course, everyone knew. Kat entered the tent and looked around. Merlin, this would be her last one and yeah... she knew they didn't win the Cup like last term. However, she wanted to make the most out of this celebration since it was her last one in Hogwarts and as a student. She looked at the people. She'd miss them too. She would terribly miss a lot of them. Especially her beloved teammates. They've been the best ones yet. Kat made her way towards her team and sat beside Ari. "Hey everyone," she smiled at the people near her. Then she looked at Professor Tyner. So, they were going to start now? Okay cool. She was on time then. |
ooc: Forgive Hecate... she's not happy about being last... Quote:
"Headmistress... I was hoping to find you here... from what I understand from some lovestruck students," and she didn't say this with even a bit of a smile, "apparently there is someone who is handing out love potioned laced candy... I've given the students a supply of antidote... and I've decided, to give you this." Hecate said and drew a letter from her pocket and handed it to other woman. Quote:

"Excuse me..." She said to the headmistress and the quidditch official before leaving them and making her way to the boy... she had a captain to threaten. As she reached him and said in low tones, "Well... Aren't you the brave one... not many in your position would dare show their faces in my presence..." Oh ho ho... she was NOT happy... Being the Head of House of the team who came in last did not make the former Slytherin proud... but she would support them... even though they would hear it from her. She smiled at the boy and keeping that smile on her face said, "You played well..." she admitted but then added "And you WILL do better next term... or I will make sure your charred remains do not make it home to your family..." and then in a sugary sweet voice she added "Am I being clear?" ... unfortunately she knew her students were used to her threats... and although she may still frighten first years... West had known her for five. He could take it... Quote:

Most of the Slytherin team was here... None of them greeted her, but that was understandable... they knew she wasn't pleased. She sighed... "You played well... All three games, you gave your opponents a run for their galleons. Slytherin WILL do better next term. Sometimes... the air isn't blowing in the right direction..." MERLIN... Alexander was right... she WAS getting soft! |

"Cheers. It was a close one." He had no shame in saying that, he knew they'd done well, it was just in the end Alec's experience was telling. As for him being alright he just made a face at her. He didn't want to think about all of that right now, not with Quidditch-related food on the agenda. Quote:
His shoulders dropped a little, somewhat defeated, but his expression didn't falter from one of polite attentiveness. The threat didn't bother him, the reminder of his failure did. In that moment it didn't matter in the slightest that he was top chaser -that he'd done exceptionally well for himself, and been signed to the Under seventeen squad this year- because Slytherin had lost. And that was on him regardless of the difficult circumstances. They'd gone from the top team with a record-breaking end-of-term total, to dead last. Though to West anything that wasn't first wasn't good enough; anything that wasn't first was losing. At least they'd done a good effort sabotaging Ravenclaw's chances at the Championship. At least there was that. "Crystal. I'll incendio myself if we don't." He said quietly. Then she could do whatever with his charred self. Nothing could actually make him feel worse about it than he already did. but yeah, okay, maybe he was brave at least a bit. He was standing there in front of Lafay, and taking what she dished out. It didn't matter that he was taller than her now, because probably eternally she'd be larger than life in his minds eye. The fifth year straightened his back again, lifting his chin and pushing his shoulders back. He'd do better next term. They'd do better next term. Just watch: he'd make Lafay proud of her second choice captain, and Dylan proud too. |
Toby was starting to make a bit of a habit out of getting to places just in time. It was odd, really, because his last name meant 'time' and he always figured that meant he'd be punctual for everything, you know? But yeah. He'd just got dressed and realised the time and had high-tailed it straight here. His back had been completely healed from whatever had happened when the bludger healed it, of course, and he was back to his usual self. Or whatever passed for his usual self these days. Once he was inside the tent, Tobias glanced around and noted who was there. A lot of the staff looked a bit busy chatting with each other or other students, and Toby didn't really want to disturb anyone in any case. He heard Professor Tyner mention something about heading through to the seating area and figured he was right on time. SooooooOOOOOOooooo he went and did just that. Headed over to be seated, giving the Hufflepuff team (and Forrest and Ella in particular, just 'cause) and smile and wave as he saw them. And did he feel underdressed? Well........... actually no. No he did not. Now just to wait and see about all this award stuff and get ready to clap and smile at people and give them all thumbs up. At the proper time. |
For...anyone I guess. Though there's mention of Schuyler. The first thing Olly noted upon entering the tent was...that most of the girls Heading over to the small buffet in the back, Olly's eyes lingered on Schuyler for a moment. Oh, there was one of the perks of most the girls wearing dresses. Hiiii! She didn't stop though but instead chose one the donuts and filled a cup with pumpkin juice. Okay, now choosing a seat. She raised her hand briefly to get Schuyler's attention ("Come sit with me? And don't take any of the annoying girls with you, yeah?") before choosing a seat towards the back of the rows of chairs. |
Alice, Mo, and Cassia. Others to come. It wasn't an actual thing for Isidora to be in a dress, because for her it was just another outfit and not anything formal. Not even this one. But it had been a thing for some of her friends, so she'd picked out one in support of her house and... didn't head straight to the party. She headed to other places first to make sure that things were in place and perfect before she came to the quidditch celebration. T Truth be told, Dora didn't give a damn about the party. Today was her and Theo's anniversary, and she was all about celebrating that and having him all to herself in the most selfish of ways. Not about this party with professors and students she also didn't give a damn about. But she was a good friend, and just like she attended all the quidditch matches she'd attended she was here to support them. So when she entered the tent it was them that she sought out first. Namely Alice. "You look nice. I know I already said that, but I feel like it needs saying again cause you actually look more than that." Truth. She sidled up to the girl, seemingly ignoring her discomfort and smiling instead. The smile got turned to Mo a moment after, "Marcus Orion. Hi." Did he want a complement as well? Her eyes asked it, but she didn't say a word more to him because it was more fun that way. He did look nice though. For the record. She did wave at Cassia though, when she caught the other girls gaze. She looked nice too. Really everyone who put effort into their outfit did. Maybe later she'd find Cassia and they'd talk. After her thing cause the other girl would want to know about that. |
The lady of the hour? Ella blushed at that. She’d never been one of those before. The blonde gave Professor Tyner a sheepish smile and a wink back for the bludger cookie tip. She’d definitely be trying one now, yeah? Om nom nom. Ells was feeling proud, y’know? And mostly because she never really had a thing that she felt she’d been really good at but maybe captaining was her thing? Because she’d come to love it and she didn’t stink at it and the team had won and trusted her and yeah. It all just felt really good. So good, in fact, that she wasn’t even phased by Professor Lafay’s cough-congratulations. The woman simply got a beam from the badger. Congratulations from Schuyler were appreciated and the sixth year grinned, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “Thanks, it feels really great.” If the brunette couldn’t tell by all the smiling she was doing. And Hadley! Ella’s smile widened considerably when she spotted her head of house that seemed to be in a really great mood. The blonde couldn’t help but feel really good about having played some small hand in that feeling. “Hello Professor!” She looked nice, Hadley did. Yellow suited her. “Thanks, I’m really proud of our team!” Our because the team was Hufflepuff’s, yeah? They wanted to win it for the badgers. Glancing over at the cake, the seventeen year old nodded in agreement. “It really does. I hope it doesn’t stop you from having some though! This is a celebration, after all.” Hadley should definitely feel free to pig out. The tent was filling up even more and the blonde sort of stood off to the side and watched people. The other captains got smiles and small waves from the badger but she wasn’t really sure what to say so that was all for now. And Hulk was wearing a dress, did she know? Ella was surprised but also smiled because she approved. She remembered talks of dresses when they were younger and she honestly wasn’t sure she’d ever see the Gryffindor wear one. Time to sit, then? Ella stocked up on those bludger cookies and headed over to a table by her team. She smiled at Tobias’ shirt and approved, obviously. The second year got a grin and a finger wiggle but no words just yet. Captain was currently ready to eat LOTS of cookies and listen to the awards. |
Cassia and little mentions of others Addi was completely lost in her own thoughts when she heard someone shouting her name. She looked up and smiled at Cassia. "Hey. I love your dress." Because dresses were cute and awesome and they never got to wear them enough. Her eyes scanned around the room to see who else had shown up. She waved as she spotted West, Theo, Ariana, and Ascanius. Gotta be friendly to the teammates right? They'd all done their best this season and their place definitely didn't show it. But she wasn't going to focus on that right now. Nope. Happy thoughts. Oh. Was it time to get started already? She looked back over at Cassia. "Maybe we should grab a seat..." |
As Eliza sat down at a table, she pulled out her notebook. She knew if she didn't write these sorts of things down every year then she'd never remember how it all wound up. Who won over who...how many points...how close were the placements... She was thoughtful enough to know one day, when she was much older, she'd like to look back on times like these and remember them well. So, she gazed around the room, making notations about her friends and even just some acquaintances as she saw fit. It had been a little sad for her this year, for a few reasons, but she was still happy for everyone who'd scored well and had a good year. After all, what kind of a friend would she be if she couldn't celebrate the happiness of others? Not a very good one. That's what kind. She smiled little smiles at those who walked by and nodded at others in acknowledgment of their achievements this season as she jotted more things down. |

And why shouldn't they be? S'an awesome thing to be celebrating. The end of Quidditch season. Quote:

Alright, let's get this party started! Text Cut: Droobles Tiara was busy trying to greet as many students as possible, but her ears perked up at the conversation near her. Laced candy... with love potion? Aren't we well past Valentine's Day? Yes, they were. It had definitely been several months since she and... Don't think about that now, you'll start blushing! Too late. Her cheeks turned red at the memory of her first Valentine's Day of actually being a valentine. Snap out of it, Tyner. Business. All business. Annie. Hecate. Ceremony. Yes. "Thank you, Hecate. The students seem to be enjoying it, and that was the goal. Make sure you get a chance to grab a bludger cookie, they're absolutely delicious." Oh and before she forgot, "And I'm glad you came. You and Josephina seem to be the only Heads present." Somewhat disappointing, but it was a weekend, after all. Checking her watch, the official decided it was time to get going. She made one last check of the grounds to see if she could spot any stragglers to wait for, then headed over to the stage. Charms had always been the former Ravenclaw's specialty, and several were in use here today, including the one causing a soft, golden glow to emit from the stage. Tiara's face was radiant in the suffused light as she called for attention with the aid of the Sonorus charm. "Good afternoon, everyone! It is my great honor to welcome you to this term's Quidditch awards ceremony. I was very impressed with the level of talent on all four teams, but today I would like to especially make note of those who excelled above the rest." "I would first like to start with the Chasers. Could everyone that played chaser sometime this term please come up to the stage?" |
In all honesty, Alec was far too busy ... No! No no no! Of course that wasn't true. ... Moving on... Adi! "Hey, man!" he said, greeting the boy with the usual hair ruffle, "You want something to eat?" He gestured towards the food sitting behind him. It looked good, yeah? Especially the cake... which was making him have a serious internal debate with himself over. Sigh. A tapping, however, made the boy turn his head and GRIN at Ells-- WHOA THERE. STARE. ... Words. Right. "The Seeker was hungry?" ... Is. He still was hungry. He did, though, reach over and wrap her up in a big hug before whispering, "You look beautiful, by the way." Also, that pouty look hadn't gone amiss, especially since it made Alec want to stare at that lip area. Not cool, Bishop, not cool. And to make things worse, Hadley was now here to talk to the blonde. Alec gave her a wave and a smile before looking back at the table of food. ... FOOD. And the cake. ... That Hadley called a 'snidge'. Alec grinned a little and shook his head but said nothing. Mainly because the event was properly starting now! ... And the girlfriend had left him at the table. Not nice. Shrugging, the boy used this opportunity to grab as much food as he could. He was going to share all of this, so there was that. But he did need to feed himself too and he didn't exactly want to get up and make numerous trips to the food table while the awards were being given out. And heading over towards the table where the Hufflepuff team were seated gave him an all too excellent opportunity to talk to a certain leprechaun. "Hey Sweetcheeks! You could have given me the heads up that you were going to wear trainers, you know." Because then Alec would have worn his trainers too since he felt a little more comfortable in them than the smart shoes that currently adorned his feet. Also. He was near people. Making a note to talk to Tag and the Schuyler girl – because they didn’t really know each other, right? – later, the boy waved before headed over towards the place where the Hufflepuff Quidditch team were sitting. "Hey guys!" Cookies!wave! … Also. Minnie was here! Did that mean that Curly was coming too? He was part of the team and should be able to celebrate as well so… … hey, Tyner was speaking! Placing the food down, he looked up at the Quidditch official and was about to start clapping when a quick glance around the room told him that doing that wasn't... well... he didn't want to be the only person clapping. But then again, he didn't want to be rude so... the boy clapped. Politely. For the Chasers. |
Uhhhhhh wait. ChaseR? That was him, yes? It was probably most of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, actually. On account of how their roster was constantly changing, y'know? Anyway, onto the stage. Tobias stood himself up and walked up to where Professor Tyner stood, looking around ready to try and count how many people also stood up, and also to see if Forrest was nearby him. Once he reached the stage he turned back so he could still the seats where he'd just come from and waited. Just kinda trying not to fidget too much. |
Tyner was now up on the stage and was asking for all those who had played chaser sometime this term. Tag glanced around at other people. He didn't exactly want to be first up or something, he'd surely hesitate going up there. But, ah! Little younger Hogwarts student ( Tobias ) was making his way up there right next to her. Now it wouldn't be so weird. But, spotlights and all those eyes staring back and things. Anyway, Tag slowly made his way up to the stage next to Tyner and with that one kid he didn't know all too well. |
Now it was time for Nigel to remember what positions he played and Chaser was one of the two. And did he really he have to go up with every other chaser and just clap when West and other people won something. He could do that just fine from his seat with the food he had just started to eat. He did not want to leave it and stand up in front of everyone. Sigh. Nigel slowly got up and started walking to the stage behind Tag. He would probably have to do the same thing for the beaters also. |
Oh. Seats. Jake grabbed another cookie for good measure before leading Anya to the seats that they were told to take. He ate his cookie and held his girlfriend's hand as he waited to see what would happen first. ...Oh. All chasers? Jake suddenly wondered if he would have to walk up to the stage three times, since he'd played every position except Seeker this term. Maybe he could just stay on stage? He stuffed the rest of his cookie into his mouth and let go of Anya's hand before standing up. He gave Anya a smile before following Tag and the little Hufflepuff kid up to the stage. To Alec's clapping. That certain Puff got a grin, because of course he'd be clapping. And Jake thought he was cool and they were friends and stuff. Yes. Once he was on the stage, Jake looked around at the people in the audience, then turned his attention back to Professor Tyner. |
SPOILER!!: Jake Oooh. Cookie. Anya smiled and accepted the cookie. Omnomnom. She nommed the cookie as Jake dragged her over to the chairs. Oh. Lovely. They were starting. ... and Jake was leaving. And he would be leaving a lot. He played three positions out of four. She waved as he left and then clapped along with everyone else. Yay! Woo! Jake! |
Fistbumps for chasers yo West waved as appropriate and said hi back as appropriate when friends and teammates and whoever else greeted him in passing. It wasn't like anyone was engaging him in conversation... and his girlfriend was still over there and all so... Quote:
Whatevs. Ascanius and Caterina and little Marissa were gonna come up with him yes? The Slytherin Captain went ahead and led the way, he sure wasn't shy about potential attention. No big deal really. Also, fistbumps all round for fellow chasers of all teams yeah? Anyone? Fistbump for you. And for you. And for you... ... and because he pretty much towered over everyone, he made sure to stand at the back, y'know, just being polite. |
Kaiden was in fact at the quidditch celebration thing, even if he didn't really want to be. Not that he was being a poor sport about not playing well. He knew he was horrible, but that wasn't the point. He was upset about the celebration stuff make him think of his uncle and celebrations and the things that happen after them. It was for that reason alone he stayed to the edge of everything. He didn't want to be a part of thing that would remind him of stuff. And he didn't wanna go up there for the chasers thing. Nope, because confetti and trophies and things. So he'd stand here yeah? and hopefully no one would notice? |
The Chasers had to get up on the stage. S'like really good for them and all, yeah? Some recognition. BLINK. Wait, he was one of those things. Chasers. So he supposed that meant he had to get up there with everyone else. At least, that was how she had phrased all of that. Being as inconspicuous as possible, he made his way up with everyone else. |
Quote:
Eyeball compliments, at least. He gave her an eyeball compliment back, followed by a shrug. What can you do, we're amazing. "Stop flirting with me, Dora. It'll make Alice feel bad 'cause you like me more than her now." Not true. Not even possible, actually. Quote:
But he was distracted by Tyner and her announcement inviting forward all the Chasers. Like a well behaved Captain, Mo looked for his crew... Sophie and Benjy and Taylor and Lily and Nigel had all played Chaser this term. Where were they? Why did they hate fun, anyway? Mo finally gave up looking for them and climbed up onto the stage himself. Would he liked to have done well enough to rank as a top Chaser this term? Sure, of course. Could he have been top Chaser and been as effective a Captain? No, probably not. It was a trade-off he was willing to live with. |
Fine, fine, she was here. Only, LOL, no. No dresses for Quidditch. Why? Because she just didn't feel like wearing one, simple as that. Even Alice was wearing a dress. That was nice. The Hogwartian was wondering who/what convinced her to wear one, quite frankly. Lottie, however, was a mini-Headmistress. The style was almost identical to Truebridge's, except that Lotus was wearing shorts, gray shorts, and her shirt/blouse was green. Tyner was calling Chasers up there, then? Well, she supposed she had to be up there since she was Chaser for the first game. So, she stood close to Jake and...yup, fistbump for West. |
Say what, Tyner? ALL of them? No. Sophie didn't want to go on stage. It was embarrassing to go up there when she only got to be a Chaser once and she had only scored one goal during that game. Why would she subject herself to that kind of shame in front of everyone? But she saw Mo toward the front looking around like a lost puppy then going up on stage on his own. No other Ravenclaws following him, even though Nigel was already up there. That... was kind of sad to watch. Even though they hadn't won or anything, they still probably needed to show that they were still a proper team and band together, yeah? They were still the coolest. And her and Mo were the best duo. So, still a bit reluctantly, the first year made her way up to the stage with two quaffle-shaped cookies in her hand, a third already being devoured. She stood by Mo, giving him a 'sup' nod. Then she threw a nod to Nigel, then Ascanius, too, because he was cool. And a fist-bump for West. Sup, bros. Was she allowed to eat her cookies on stage? Because she was going to keep doing it. No one could blame her, could they? She took a large bite of the second one, unfazed by the gazes of those in the crowd. Chomp, chomp. |
Quote:
... just... wondering. Yeah. Quote:
"You lost Cat and Vesper? Better find them soon." Tyner was calling them to the seating area now, wasn't she? Quote:
"You're going to cheer louder for me than for Ravenclaw, right?" Best friends did that stuff. They did. Quote:
She'd need some of that, too, but Tyner's voice was getting louder, so Alice decided she would just stop by and make a serious dent in that pile of cookies after the ceremony. Food inhaling took time and stuff. Quote:
Alice tailed Mo up to the stage, going to stand over near Tag and Jake. "Where's the fairy kid?" She'd chased against Slytherin, too. Miss Abbi Campi needed a spot up there. Scored goals and everything, she had. |
Quote:
... Chasers to the stage? See, the funny thing about this term was that Ella had moved people around a lot. Mostly because she wanted to see who excelled where and it seemed to have worked out for them. Only with the way Professor Tyner seemed to be doing things, her poor players were going to have to go up multiple times. This would probably be unpleasant for those who didn't like being up in front of a crowd. ...And Ella was just going to not stand by all the giants on stage, okay? Like she didn't have an issue with her height already without being surrounded by these boys. Sheesh. She should have worn high heels! Stand up straight, Bishop. That should help. |
SPOILER!!: West Minerva gave a faint smile, "It was a good match up really. You should be proud at how great you played. West you are a great leader. It showed." She hoped he knew he was. She knew her opinion at times didn't matter, but she at least felt he was. Seeing the face she fidgeted and looked down, "Sorry.. Just worried is all. I won't keep you from your friends and stuff. Just.. " Honestly she didn't know what else to say so she just stood a bit awkward. SPOILER!!: ELIZA Minerva had caught sight of Eliza and since she felt like she hadn't see her friend all term made her way over to her. "Eliza.. Where have you been hiding?" She gave the girl a hug. What a horrible friend Min felt like not keeping tabs on her. Ethan would have wanted her to keep tabs on Eliza better. He thought of her as a little sister. "How have you been? Doing alright I hope." She looked up as the Quidditch Official seemed to be starting the ceremony. SPOILER!!: Kaiden and Alec Minerva saw Alec and waved back. Should she go over to the team now. She figured she probably should. Getting up she went to make her way over towards them when someone else caught her eye. She looked to see Kaiden standing alone. Moving closer to him she gave him a smile, "Hey why clear in the back?" Not that she minded being hidden in the back. She listened as the chasers were called up, "Hey bud that's you. Go get recognized." She gave a tiny smile. Min had no intention of going up there for positions. She hated being in front of people and right now with everything that had went on she didn't feel right. |
Quote:
She leaned in closer and hushed her voice as she saw that the announcements were beginning and said quickly, "It's a sketchbook that can draw for itself!" But that was all she'd say for now, and she winked at her friend, then turned her attention to the chasers who were being recognized for their efforts. |
since rl delayed this *drops* It definitely wasn't a party without Wade being present. He had been here a while, though had been hesitant on making himself known given the week he had to endure. Now that he could think of that a much later time now, yes? There were smiles to give and everything as he gave his polite greetings and acknowledgements to the Professors and Headmistress, whom he had a lot of thanks and appreciation for. Before managing to slip in with his Quidditch teammates enjoying everything. ..Merlin, was he going to miss them. As he looked at Kaiden who had decided to hide behind him when Chasers were called.. Poor guy must still be a little shaken up, as he kindly smiled "Hey.. Kaid, I brought Henry if you need someone to go up there with you." Since Wade himself hadn't been Chaser this year. Wade can't exactly cheer for all the chasers if not everyone of them is up there yet. Heh. |

Theo lifted his foot to take a step, when he remembered that he wasn't a chaser anymore. Oh. Yeah, he would pretend that it didn't bother him. He exchanged looks with West as he got up, which he tried to keep as vague as possible, 'cause he ain't bothered. Gosh, this party sucked so far. |
Quote:
Thankfully Chasers were going first so she had time to eat her cookies. Munching on one and setting the rest in her lap, she clapped along with everyone else for the Chasers, but especially for Ascanius and West and the Gryffindor Chasers. |
Chasers, feel free to RP on stage a bit before taking your seats. She had started with Chasers first because she was fairly certain it was going to be the biggest group. Clearly she had been correct. As the group on stage grew larger and larger, she scanned the crowd to see if there was anyone else out there they were waiting on. Once she was content that everyone who was planning on coming forward was already here, she turned to address the group of Chasers. "First I would like to honor those who played the position of Chaser this term. As everyone can see, it is indeed a large group." This was only logical, of course, because there were the most Chasers on the pitch at once. "The quality of goals scored this term was incredibly high, and everyone should be very proud." She paused a moment in case the students in the seats wanted to clap or cheer. "As I will do with each of the four positions, I would like to shine the spotlight on our top two positions on the leaderboard. The first place finisher will receiver ten house points, while the second place finisher will receive five. For this term, the second place Chaser accumulated 7 goals, so the second place ribbon goes to Tobias Tempus of Hufflepuff!" She beckoned him over to hand him his ribbon. "And with a whopping 9 goals, our first place Chaser this term is West Odessa, Slytherin Captain!" She smiled broadly at West, proffering his medal. Then she stepped back and led a rousing round of applause. |
Tobias Tempus. That was his name. Soooooooo... him, yes? Him? Ribbon? Points? Sweet. After turning to give Ella, who was standing right behind him, a broad grin, Tobias stepped forwards and took the ribbon from Professor Tyner, still smiling widely. "Thanks!" He inspected it momentarily before looking up and watching West get his medal. Toby tried to catch the very tall boy's eye and gave him his most bestest cheeriest smile before stepping over, holding out his hand for the older Slytherin to shake 'cause it seemed like a good thing to do, y'know? Cool. |
Quote:
Quote:
West would've said more to answer certain people that spoke to him but things were happening so he turned his attention to Professor Tyner, first when she said house points were on the agenda, and then when she announced Toby and himself as second and first place chasers for the term. He smiled confidently and stepped forward. A medal? Cool. "Thanks, ma'am." West did shoot a little look toward Lafay, wondering if he'd see any pride there. And another look to Alice for much the same reasons. Theo got the biggest smile though and West kissed the medal and saluted his best mate with it. An acknowledgement. Terrortwins things. And then sure, he went ahead and shook Toby's hand. That kid was good. You know, reminded him of how he had been at that age and stuff. |
When West went ahead and made with the handshaking, Tobias' smile widened even further, if that was possible. Because West was cool, you know? And an awesome Quidditch player, too. But also cool. And here they were shaking hands. Once they'd done that, Tobias really didn't see much reason to stay up there on stage. He glanced at the crowd facing the stage, gave them a happy grin and a wave, and scooted off back to his seat, ribbon in hand. |
Quote:
Grin. "Nonsense. Alice has a bow. It's a known fact that the people at the top of my list has some sort of bow on their attire." So ooooooobviously she liked Alice more. Obviously. "Wear a bow in your hair next time and I'll maybe reconsider." Quote:
Looking amused, she shot a quick glance at Mo, tilting her head to the side. "You'll have to fight over my affections with, Marcus Orion. He's under the delusion that I could love him more when he's without a bow." More truths. She winked at her best. Quote:
Then she started cheering obnoxiously for each of her friends. And peeked at her boyfriend. Hi. |
Quote:
She got pointed looks back. Don't be a hypocrite, Cambridge. Quote:
"I always win fights with Mo. He's no match for my argumentative talents." Or physical talents, thank you very much. Alice was convinced. "And I do bows better than him anyway." Totally did. Quote:
It'd be worse when Ella got to carry back that huge cup to her table, though. Ahem. |
West&Alice&Olly SPOILER!!: quotes Schuyler grinned openly at West's smile + blush. Even though she didn't know the reason behind it.. but that didn't really matter. Maybe he had just spilled frosting on his outfit and thought she saw it. That could be it? His girlfriend, though, was giving off weird vibes after the compliment about the dress. Schuyler backtracked to the exact words she said and concluded that they couldn't really be misinterpreted that easily. So she didn't think much more of it, just expressed a nonverbal thanks for the return compliment. Her eyes wandered elsewhere momentarily when they locked with Olly's as the girl passed her in pursuit of the food table. The corner of her mouth upturned in the slightest and her sight followed the other girl, but not a moment later Alice's question was drawing her back again. How did she walk in her shoes? "One foot in front of the other," she smiled. Seems like their two pairs of shoes had separately been what caught their eyes. And now there was a Tyner announcing that the ceremony was beginning, and so this, paired with Olly's signal, was cue to get a move on and put her butt in a seat already. Naturally, the brunette swiftly wound her way around the other students until she reached the seats in the back. "Hey you." She took the seat beside the Hufflepuff and crossed one leg over the other, not looking up at the stage until she smoothed out the red fabric of her dress. But the stage merely got a glance for the moment because people were still filing up there and she realized she had important things to tell Olly. Things like... ".... I forgot to get a cookie." And she pouted a little bit. And now she was sitting, and she didn't want to go over there now while Tyner was announcing this chaser award. That'd be rude and all. .....Especially considering that the recipient was.. West Odessa! Her cookie craving was miraculously forgotten and she sported a wide grin as she looked again to the stage and clapped for her friend. |
As Toby and West came up to take their spoils, she gave them a hearty congratulations. "You're welcome," she quietly told them both. No need for the Sonorus charm to project her personally directed words, after all. The handshake the two shared made a small sense of pride spring up inside, though she wasn't exactly sure why. Perhaps she'd taken a liking to the two. Returning her attention to the crowd, she spoke at a normal volume once more. "Yes, one more round of applause for our Chasers as they take their seats!" Tiara clapped enthusiastically along with the students for several moments. "Now I would like to call all of the Beaters to the stage!" |

Even when she felt someone sit down next to her and heard Schuyler's greeting she didn't look away right away. Well, there was only one way to find out. And that was to give it to the Gryffindor next to her and see what would happen. Olly finally lowered the donut again and turned her head to grin at Schuyler. Before she got around to offering her the donut however she got a closer look of the dress the Gryffindor was wearing. Okaaaay, maybe her plan wasn't that good after all. Siiigh. She'd just have to be careful. Her gaze may have lingered on Schuyler's Yes, congrats, West. And the others. Olly clapped and all that. And grinned too. Well done. |
She was SO proud of Tobias. SO PROUD. And so when the second year turned to smile at her, Ella grinned back and ruffled his hair. He'd been brilliant all term and she really couldn't have asked for a better player to have on her team. Little dude was going to go far, she was sure. Clapping was happening too, for both her little badger and for West. Well done and stuff. Yup. But then Tobias had left the stage and she was all WHUT cause he was her little buddy and now she was all short and lonely up there with the tall dudes and ladies. Not cool, Tobias. Could she sit down now or- Or not. Beaters next? LOL. Ella didn't go anywhere cause she'd been one of those too. And so had Lottie so at least she wasn't the only one hanging around. The blonde sort of edged towards her teammate and gave her a faint smile before looking forward again. Shuffle. |
When West and Tobias got their things, the realization came to Jake that though he'd be on stage for three things... he wouldn't get anything. Which... was okay, really, but he didn't particularly want to showcase that he was average at three things and not spectacular at one thing. With an internal sigh, he left the stage when Chasers were dismissed. But he hadn't gotten too far when beaters were called up. So he turned around and went back onto the stage. Yep, hey. Anya got a nod in the audience because he liked her. |
Enthusiastic waving and clapping was happening. Why? Because LOOK how many of his close friends were up there! But this meant... well... ... he was all alone. Look at the empty seats near him! Lonely Summers was lonely. ... Apart from... HEY CURLY WADE. Alec grinned and waved at the Head Boy and General Kaid, the grin mainly aimed at Kaid since... it seemed like the boy needed it. Maybe. Alec didn't know. Talks or a Just when he thought he could stop clapping and had actually slowed down enough to ease it out, Tyner was calling all the Beaters up to the stage. Right. Yeah. MORE clapping... and he could possibly Grabbing himself another cookie, the boy stuffed most of it in his mouth before starting on the enthusiastic clapping again. Clap clap chew clap clap! |
Fistbumps were automatic of course. You can not be a bro and not reciprocate a fistbump. At least that is what Nigel thought. The Prefect also knew he would not being getting a award for beater also. He was about as average as you can get. So he followed the chasers off the stage and like Gryffinbro, he had to do a double take when he heard beaters announced. Well back up to the stage he goes. |

Lex waved her and her pointed looks off. "A dressed down skirt, nothing particularly fancy, hardly a skirt if you squint and look at it in the right light, but you're in a dress, unmistakable, mhm." For good measure she even tugged on it, at the risk of having Alice swat her hand away and thump her or something along those lines. Quote:
She looked to the Professor. Lex would like her reward for her excessive violence this term, thanks. |
Vesper.............was there. ...Actually, she'd been there for ages, hidden behind stuff and watching. Always watching. Everyone was in attendance!...chatting and having party snacks, talking about Quidditch and congratulating Hufflepuffs on the championship. When Ves had started playing, initially, she hadn't cared one bit about winning a trophy (or winning in general)...Partially because she didn't know a trophy was given for school sports. As it was, though, Vesper seldom did anything to be the best...but seeing all the Hufflepuff people so happy and whatnot....It made her question whether or not she didn't care about winning because she never had..... Maybe, if Marcus had her back for next term, they could win a trophy? Since she now knew it was on that level...Maybe she could be a little more competitive... Also.......the way people had dressed...Ves thought it was meant to be super dressed up and fancy...but apparently, she could've just worn what she normally did. Epic fail. She took a moment to look down at her attire, making all the faces. As a rule, she didn't really do fancy or girly...and her mother knew that. BUT, of course, without being at home to protest, fancy and girly were exactly the things her mum had sent. She looked like a spangled Christmas ornament. Basically, she wished she had handy dandy "Melt into the floor" action. When the position awards started, West and that terrifying Hufflepuff kid went up to the podium-thing first. Funnily enough, it took seeing those two up there for her to realize that she, too, would also be called up. For Keepers, you know.....Oh gosh. Maybe someone could just, ugh, accept the award in her place. So she didn't have to get up in front of everyone...and have a panic attack. Maybe Marcus could...or Aidan...or someone. Someone from Ravenclaw... DORA. There was DORA. Vesper glanced around furtively before slipping out from behind whatever it was that had kept her hidden and creeped towards her. It didn't even matter who was with her...which was Marcus, Alice, and Theodore. Yep, Ves paid them zero attention. "Dora." Internal flailing attack! |
And Mama Snake Lafay is here too *forgot to quote* Okay, so Kat wasn't the happiest right now. They didn't win but.. there was Lafay and the Head Girl was glad that their Head of House didn't scowl at them for winning FOURTH place. Inspirational speech, though, Kat didn't expect that. ...................... "Thanks, Professor." For that. It helped, even just a bit. Quote:
Just because she cared. See? Anyway, WOOOH. GO WEST. First place Chaser? Merlin, that was amazing. Kat clapped and all, because Slytherin team. So happy for her team, and her captain. They didn't win any game Man, she'd miss them loads. Quote:
She knew she didn't get first place Beater, by the way. That's thanks to getting sick during the last match AND, even if she insisted she should play, West made all the seventh years sit out. YOU KNOW, BECAUSE IT WAS NECESSARY? Right? Ahem. Anyway, she was on stage. |
Don't mind her, she's had a few run-ins with bludgers in her day. XD Next up were the beaters, or the ones that Tiara always had to watch the most closely. Hormonal teenagers with blunt objects in their hands... Yes, she watched them like a hawk. When she was fairly certain most of the bludger whackers had arrived, she cleared her throat and shuffled her notes in preparation for the next awards. "Next I would like to honor those who played the position of Beater this term. I must say that there was a fantastic amount of talent in this position this term." Again she paused momentarily to allow for the students to show their support or appreciation. "For this term, the second place Beater accumulated 5 hits, so the second place ribbon goes to Katrina Hudson of Slytherin!" Smiling, the official called her over and gave her her ribbon. "And with 8 hits, our first place Beater this term is Lotus Wisteria of Hufflepuff!" Especially impressive when you considered that she had not played Beater in every game. With a smile for the badger, she held out her medal. Clearing out of the foreground, she encouraged the crowd's applause from the side. |
Tag clapped for West and Tobias. Thank you for mentioning their names Professor or Tag would've kept mentally calling that little young boy 'little Hogwarts student'. Thank you very much. Just as Tag was about to leave the stage Professor Tyner mentioned for beaters to stay up too. Tag had played as one for one match, if he remembered correctly. So he stood on stage still. Though, but wasn't expecting anything. He was though expecting something for his Flower and for his Owner ( Lex ). Lottie had been fierce out there with the bat and Lex had always been scary with a bat. If anything Tag would give them great recognition. The little leprechaun waited for other people to stay on stage or join them. YEAH LOTTIE! The boy was not gonna hide his pride and excitement for her and smiled very big and clapped really really loudly for his Lottie. Also, claps for you Kat. Thanks for that hit to the head. Honestly, it'd all worked out for Lottie cause he'd called her fierce with that bat. |

ZOMG! Tobias! Lottie almost bounced in excitement for him. He was her first place, FYI, but no one was asking her, so yeah. Very few people would win any sort of prize if she was the one giving them out. Anyway... ...the Hogwartian was ready to step off the 'stage' when Tyner mentioned Beaters. Well, looks like she wasn't going anywhere, then, since she also played Beater this term thanks to the Captain's change in tactics...and then her final demand/suggestion. BEAMS FOR YOU BEST FRIEND! Just because. But then the official was calling out the second place. Oh, Slytherin, that was nice. It they supported each other's failures, it was fairly obvious accomplishments counted too. So, yes, with a small smirk and a nod, Lottie accepted the medal from Tyner, "Why, thank you." Smile. And Ella too, for mixing things up a little. The one she really wanted to thank (for reasons he was bound to understand) was only a few feet away, so she winked his way. Also, Katrina, congrats! |
Ascanius was being really finicky now that he was up on stage. Everything seemed to get in the way and he wanted to get down, yeah? 'Cause he was super hungry and his eyes were glued and bugged at the snack table. Being up on the stage for all of the Chaser stuff was fine and dandy, but food. He rubbed at his slightly agitated eyes and got down from where he had joined the other Chasers as soon as he was dismissed. Straight to the food table he went. ...and he nommed all the things. Yeah, yeah. Good for Quidditch or whatever. |

So of course he'd use his vantage point on the stage to spot somewhere else to sit, now that he was done with his part of the standing around. Quote:

The sixth year applauded for Lottie and Kat, too, spark of jealousy growing a tinnny bit more. Could she get off stage yet? |
YeeeeeaaaaAAAAHHHHH BEATERS WOOOOOO. ... was what Tobias would be whooping and yelling right now if he hadn't realised that this was a more civilised ceremony than that. And he had realised sooooooooo he was quite content with grinning and applauding for the beaters. When the awards were given, Tobias set his ribbon on one knee so he could clap properly, and gave Lottie a super super wide grin and extra loud hand clapping. Really though, beaters were fierce. Tobias had no idea how they managed to do what they did. With the task of protecting the other team and being aggressive and stuff. Hitting things sounded really fun, but difficult to hurt other players. ... Toby still hadn't found out which beater blasted that bludger at his back. ... ... Hmmm. ANYway, he carried on applauding for the beaters 'cause YAY QUIDDITCH. |

"Vesper." She looked bothered, but Dora wasn't gonna say so openly. Dora reached out and pulled the girl into a one armed hug, trying to be casual only Dora and hugs were not a casual thing. "Stop stressing, you look great." |
SPOILER!!: Eliza Minerva smiled at Eliza, it had been super long since they had talked like really talked. She wondered if everything was alright with the girl, but Eliza soon said she was busy studying, which Minerva could understand that. She herself should be studying for her NEWTs at this very moment, but she wasn’t going to miss supporting her team. “Well it’s not a bad thing to do lots of studying, but try to have some fun as well.” No sense of studying your life away and missing all that Hogwarts could give. Min put a hand on her shoulder, “Don’t be sorry, I was just worried. You know Ethan wouldn’t like if I didn’t keep an eye on you.” She gave her a small smile and chuckled, “Oh goodness Eliza you don’t have to make it up to me, truth be I’ve been hiding a bit myself. “ She glanced over at Eliza had she noticed, but probably not if she hadn’t been around. Minerva watched her carefully, “A sketchbook that can draw for itself, well that’s amazing Eliza. Especially for someone as horrible at art as I am.” She chuckled, “I’d love to see it when you have it.” That was something interesting now wasn’t it. SPOILER!!: Ariana Minerva chuckled a bit, “Sorry didn’t mean for you to choke.” Honestly that wasn’t the intention she was going for. Looking around her blue eyes snapped back to Ari, “I.. well thanks.” She looked down at one of her newer dresses she had bought her last trip away. “You think it looks alright?” She was nervous for reasons about the way she looked. “You look gorgeous yourself.. Might have to steal that dress one of these days and the shoes.” Ari always had amazing shoes. It was good to have best friend perks when it came to those shoes. SPOILER!!: Wade, Beaters on stage She saw Wade come in and she quickly went to his side, “Hey.. you alright?” She knew he wasn’t at the last match and she knew he had been MIA for a moment, but she just had to make sure he was doing alright. “I’ll make sure to cheer really loud for you when you go on stage.” because he deserved it he was a great player. She was going to miss not seeing him play and being able to practice with him. She couldn’t help but frown thinking of the end stuff now. It was really happening with this ceremony. All the lasts. Yep, but before her brain could send her into an emotional mess she heard Tyner announcing beaters to come to the stage. She stood still. There really was no point of her going up there. She had done her usual at the position. Not any great blocks and she didn’t even play in the last match, plus one of the matches she played chaser. Deciding she would just stay where she was Minerva clapped really loudly for Lottie.. “Great Job Lottie” At least she could cheer on her amazing puffs. They were really amazing and talented. "Great Job Kat!!" of course she would cheer on her fellow seventh year and friend as she got recognized as well. There were some great girl power talent with bats at Hogwarts, wasn't there. |
Beaters, feel free to RP on stage a bit before taking your seats. Tiara congratulated both Lotus and Katrina as they accepted their awards. She told them both, "You're welcome," and they both received a proud smile. The Head Girl especially seemed excited to have received a ribbon, which caused the official to chuckle a bit. It was always nice to see the other side of the Beaters when they weren't on the pitch trying to send heavy metal objects at others. So Chasers and Beaters had gone, and that made it time for the Keepers. Now the number of people on stage would start to dwindle. "Let's give all the Beaters one more round of applause as they find their seats! Next it is time to call forward the guardians of the goal hoops, the Keepers!" Gazing towards the back of the room, she noted that the house elves seemed to have been spot on about how much food they would need. Enough remained for those who wanted second helpings or thirds. Or fourths. |

Theo sighed quietly, gave his and Dora's attached hands a wiggle, then let go to get up on the stage. He didn't actually know his stats, but wasn't expecting much. Once he was on stage, he spent a little while looking at the floor, then finally raised his head a little to look at the other students. Argghh people looking at him was freaky. So he just looked at Dora instead. |
This was a position Alec knew he could never do. You had to be scary, yeah? And that just... wasn't him. No. You didn't really hurt people when it came to Seeking, unless you barge into them and make them fall over. So... Alec was glad that the Captain hadn't made him a Beater. Those were more for Elise Fairfields and Lafays, not Alec Summers...s...s...? Lottie got first place Beater! YEAH! And Kat got second place! Cue MORE enthusiastic clapping from the seventeen year old. What happened next, though, was something that couldn't be helped. Alec looked over towards a certain someone -- SOMEONE -- and GRINNED. A knowing grin to see how this person was taking this. And he seemed happy which made this Hufflepuff happy too. Thank you for making this possible, Lotus Wisteria and your scary Beating skills. ... Because she was scary out there with that bat, yeah? But it proved to come in handy for her so... CLAP CLAP CHEER CLAP CLAP. ... And... he was just going to take a doughnut and nom on that. Did this have jam in it? ... Shrug. The boy was about to take a BIG bite out of the doughnut when he heard Tyner calling out for the Keepers. That didn't mean him but a certain blonde had to stay up there, yeah? Placing his doughnut down, Alec GRINNED and started clapping again. YEAH! GO KEEPERS! ... Could he have his doughnut NOW? |
She was proud, y'know? And it was nice to see Kat get recognized because Ella knew what a great quidditch player she was. The blonde clapped loudly for her buddy and gave the snake a smile, hoping that she was taking it all in and stuff. Handshake planning later, mmkay? And then Lottie got first place and the blonde's smile widened a bit. She was proud of her too and happy that she hadn't protested when Ella switched her position around. It seemed to have been the right move too considering the And Keepers up next? Guess who was STILL on stage? THIS girl. She didn't mind, though. This was actually her favorite position and though she knew she hadn't been top in this category, she was really proud of her performance against the snakes in the last match. So she was smiling and scooting back a bit to make way for the others who had played. She glanced over at Theo and gave him a small smile but that was all. Hey friend. And she could sit down after this, yeah? Her eyes found Alec's while she waited and she gave him a small smile and finger wiggle. He'd be up next, did he know? Then it'd be her turn to clap for him. And to eat. Blonde badger was hungry. |
Yes yes! Lottie had gotten first place. Well done, seeing as beater was not her original position. Very proud over here. So, still smiling over that Tag slowly walked off stage. Nope, he hadn't played keeper at all. But, before quickly taking a seat, he went over to the table with the food and quickly grabbed a bludger cookie. Sitting down next to Alec Tag gently nudged his best friends elbow and pretended to smack the bludger cookie to his own head and face. Tag's not Alec. Yep. Bludger incidents were awesome. Tag was also eyeing Alec's doughnut like he had never eaten before. Your boy is very hungry Alec. But first he would eat his cookies. Besides, Alec might need to clap for Ella soon, yeah? Maybe he should take Alec's doughnut so Alec could properly clap for Ella? Yep. Doughnut in Tag's hand now. Thumbs up to you hair ruffler! |
Keeeeeeeeeeperrrrrrrrrr. Uhhh... did he play Keeper this year? Tobias couldn't quite remember, but he thought maybe he had. Right at the start of the year. Yup. Soooooooo he went right back on up to the stage, with his ribbon for chasing still clutched eagerly in his hand. He stood in front of Ella again, smiling brightly. Yeah, I'm a Keeper. |
Schuyler suppressed an eye-roll. "I don't want you to get me a cookie - I'm just looking for some sympathy." Feel bad for me and stuuuuuuff. She was hungry and foodless. Maybe she should have known not to go to Olly for this one.... but yeah, that didn't stop her apparently. Servant? She glanced over at her friend because she sounded kind of serious when she said that, and so she looked for some expression that gave away that Olly was joking. She wasn't sure what to make of it. "Servant, riiight." Whatever Olly meant by that. Eyes back on the stage, she saw that it was now the beaters' turn for some attention. And who won that shiny gold medal for the beaters but cherry blossom Lottie! So, naturally, she got smiles and claps, too. She caught sight of West again as he walked away from the stage all medaled up. Was he going to the food table? Yes? She quickly straightened up so he could see her better, and mouthed the words with exaggeration, 'Can you get me a cookie?' Please. Olly was no help, and Schuyler was at risk of getting hunger crankiness. |
