Being Slytherin means trying your absolute best-- to be friends with the lonely, dying Lola Jones. That is all. |
:slyth: Being Slytherin involves breaking the boundaries set that limit a person. Even if it is Also, a real Slytherin involves being more than just loyal, intelligent, daring and cunning. :pfight: It is all about having the most fun. :sevribbon: |
To be a Slytherin is to be great. We snakes stick together, yet strive for our own ambitions. Our intelligence is put to good use, achieving our goals, and helping others with theirs sometimes, too. We don't back down from what we believe is right, and we protect our own. To be a Slytherin, is to be the BEST. (When I took the quiz, I figured I'd either be a Ravenclaw or a Gryffindor. When I first saw that I was a Slytherin, my first reaction was disappointment. But now I'm proud of my house, and wouldn't want to be anything else :D) |
Being Slytherin is not just about being Sly, but about doing our very best to achieve our goals and having pride in what we do. Being Slytherin is about having skill and improving our skills, we don't mean to brag of say that we are better then any other houses, cause we aren't. But slytherins are clever, talented and determined and loyal. It's just the way we are.:slyth: |
And a Gryffindor might be be brave, but a Slytherin does not only have all of these qualities but we are also cunning, thinking out of the box, striving for our goals, and even though other houses think bad of us because of the reputation the past Slytherins have built we still continue to go on and live a normal life(sometimes).. It's not about being a pure-blood, a parseltongue, or even You-Know-Who... We are here at Hogwarts to study, to improve ourselves more, and be resourceful.. But there is something that make us Slytherins unique... It's not leaving our fellow behinds even though we've achived so much:sevribbon:. That's what a true Slytherin is, with pride and dignity be proud to be one...:voldie1: |
In the words of the Sorting Hat, "Those cunning folk use any means. To achieve their ends." People usually interpret that to mean Slytherins are selfish and will cheat or break the law to get what they want. But to me it means sacrificing what you need to, slogging through the necessary work, and doing whatever it takes to reach your goal. The important thing is, what is that goal? Many great people, as well as some evil ones, did whatever it took to achieve very good goals--this statement can be true of a Mozart or a Michelangelo or a Dr. Schweizer as well as of a criminal. Great achievements are only possible by doing whatever it takes. it all depends on what a person's goal is. So what is important to know about any particular Slytherin is, what is that person's goal? Because that will define who that person is. |

Slytherin Pride Being a Slytherin means that you strive to do your best. These cunning and sly serpents, don't just play around all day and tease Gryffindors. We try to prove to other people that being a Slytherin isn't so bad. In fact, a great bond will always be there between all the Slytherin students. We know how to love, laugh, live, and dance like a Hippogriff. We are the Snakes and Serpents of Salazar Slytherin. The Sly and Cunning folks of Hogwarts. Slytherin and Proud. Slytherin Pride. :slyth: |
Being slytherin is being ambitious n inquisitive! it is all about how to use our means to achieve our goals! being slytherin is a pride! |
Being Slytherin is about being the ambitious, awesome people we are! |
Being Slytherin means giving it all you got and trying when all else fails. |
Being Slytherin isn't what most people think, mean and can be practical bullies. Being Slytherin is when you have a goal, and you're determined to reach for it no matter what. It means risking a lot for what you believe in and what you desperately want, and that nothing will get in your way. Being Slytherin is looking for a way out of a situation in different means. It may require intelligence and creativity (Ok, that's just Ravenclaw-ish) but ambition is what mainly carries you. And the Sorting Hat was right when it said, "Slytherin will help you on the way to greatness." |
To me, slytherin means like a politician. Not necessarily bad, but always looking to improve oneself. always manipulating and maneuvering in the background to ensure success. Whether for good or evil, this seems to b the way slytherin works. At least to me. |
