 Do you have a knack for flying? Would you like to be on a team with some of the most talented students in school? Do you enjoy having fun? Are you a member of Ravenclaw house? If any of these apply to you, perhaps you should contemplate joining the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team! If playing Quidditch or making life-long memories and friendships is your dream, sign the clipboard that is going around! This is an open tryout. For those who do not care to try out, you may support your fellow classmates in the viewing area as soon as tryouts begin!
Remember: past members do not yet have a spot on the team; all positions are currently open. A combination of flexibility, participation, talent, good sportsmanship, and a positive attitude are needed for all positions on the team.

Attendance was decent, she supposed. Merlin knew where everyone else was and Elise had no plans of asking the dead legend where they were. This was satisfactory. Not optimal, but it would have to do. Once it was clear that nobody else was coming, Elise zoomed a little bit higher and dropped the quaffle. Then, she flicked her wand quickly at the case that contained the bludger.
The rogue ball was now in the air, almost immediately THWACKed by Mo and quite nearly hitting a hoop. A warning look shot his way, she turned her focus towards the chaser and seeker hopefuls.
Everything looked okay, save for the fact that Beezus and Ethan were wrestling for the quaffle like it was some kind of long lost treasure. Silly of them, since Elise knew they were both pretty brilliant players and didn't have to do that to have a chance at scoring. In the midst of that totally pointless squabble, Aidan seemed to have seen a blur of gold just behind Elise's ear.
Ducking just in time, her braid barely missed Aidan's grasp and something small and golden caught in it instead.
Aidan had caught the snitch!

Bee was being incredibly unstable lately, especially after that last practice. Elise crossed her fingers despite herself, as she watched the chaser fumble with the quaffle dangerously near the hoops. She actually cringed as the brunette lost balance, flipping herself over on her broom and dropping the Quaffle.
Mo, missing the bright red blur by mere inches, looked up at the prefect, quite alarmed. "Sweet Beezus," he muttered. His bat brandished rather dangerously near someone's head.
Ethan seemed to catch the falling quaffle, since he zoomed towards the hoops and took aim only to be distracted by a loud cry.
"FOR THE LOVE OF PIEEEE!" cried a certain Seeker. Not without quizzical stares from his Captain, Aidan had the golden ball again.

If Elise had doubts about Mo's sanity, this was definitely an eye-opener. Something was seriously wrong with either that or his eyesight since his wild bat-movements were rather frightening. Missing a wild swing by pure chance, Elise moved a bit further from him. No hovering near a wild Beater, it wasn't healthy and she didn't need a concussion.
Beezus and Ethan were at the Quaffle again and if it wasn't enough of a lesson this time, Elise would knock it into them herself. She was still holding a bat, in case people forgot. Just then, Aidan swooped in between the two arguing chasers and caught the snitch.
The kid was on a roll.

Bee and Ethan were still at the quaffle and Elise raised the clipboard threateningly as Aidan whizzed towards her and grabbed her right wrist rather suddenly. WHAT WAS THE KID DOING, GRABBING HER WATCH? It was not a golden snitch, child!
It turned out that all that Chaser-arguing was finally resolved. Thank Merlin, because Elise had no plans of injuring her players more than necessary. Ethan seemed victorious, and it was an amazing shot. It went sailing above Bee's head, under Mo's foot and cleanly through the center hoop. BEAUTIFUL.
"Sweet Beezus!" Elise grinned, scribbling something onto her clipboard. This was nice, it was. She had a brilliant team.

Bee wasn't seeming entirely on her rocker at all, or her broom for that matter. She had managed to flip herself over AGAIN and Elise was starting to wonder if this was a tactic she was practicing. Confuse the opponent by flying upside down? It could work, if she worked on it. The flailing wasn't going to do anything to stabilize her, though.
Mo cracked his bat and sent the bludger whizzing past Aidan's head, sending him into a dive for safety. Ethan managed to reaquire the quaffle though.
Elise watched as Ethan aimed and for a moment, she thought it'd be clean and smooth but she'd never been any good at Divination. The Quaffle hit the ring of the left hoop rather violently before zooming towards the ground followed closely by Elise. Merlin, help her.
