Minnie walked to the back of the train. Her trunk was insanely heavy but she had packed a lot so she couldnt complain. Opening the door to an emtpy compartment the blonde threw her stuff into it and plopped down on one of the free seats. Now this was heaven. The seats were so comfy, thank god. Long train journeys and hard seats were a killer.
Sighing a bit the Slytherin got a pack of sweets out. Sweets were like her life. As soon as she'd get to hoggy Hogwarts she'd take a piece of cherry pie with her to her dorm.
"Hm? Yeah him. Ran into him down in Diagon Alley, almost walked away without shaking his hand too." 'Cause he had been unnecessarily rude and she didn't much think that she wanted to have herself acquainted with him. She had better things to do with her summer. "There was this other dude who knew him too, said his family owned firewhiskey." She had yet to see the significance of that but maybe Lottie would know and explain it to her sometime.
What was more important was that Lottie was finally going for the seat! Yay! Even more proof that this compartment was FULLY taken.
With Mags perched where she was Lex put a firmer hand on on Felix. He was a pouncer and she was sure Lottie wouldn't have appreciated that very much, especially now that she was back in a good mood. Good enough to be smiling through windows. Riiiiight. There would have been questions about that but then Lottie went clarifying and bringing him up again.
"But we've just established that I didn't do it intentionally so technically I wasn't being rude, simply oblivious. I don't think I should have to apologize for who I am." Lottie never had to apologize when she was being terribly honest with certain people so she was most certainly NOT going to apologize to someone she hardly wanted to be acquainted with in the first place.
This was quickly dismissed by another of the girl's smile. Awesome, no more annoyed friend! "Enough on that though, we can find other," more important? Interesting? Intelligent? "things to talk about." BEAM.
Consider both eyebrows raised. "Oh?" Actually, Lex, you're going to have to explain a little bit more. "Not a friend of yours, then?" There was something in Lex's tone that didn't suggest so. Well, this is slightly amusing. Er, no, Lex, not exactly. "A brand of firewhiskey...," but since it was the most popular then Lex's statement wasn't entirely wrong, "...but yes." She still shrugged, it was of no importance to her. And certainly not to Garrick, right? "What other dude?" She was curious.
Her whole mood seemed entirely changed now. There was even a tiny smirk on her face as she went on. And she appreciated the hold on Felix, but he wasn't going to pounce on her pygmy puff, was he? Because Lottie would be devastated.
Sigh. For whatever reason, she started to think of something. And smirked. Lex probably didn't know what she was doing, but her words made her think of herself. Okay, she wasn't forcing this on Lex, because she didn't like to be forced to do other things. Her best friend was probably the only one who know how to get her to do things she didn't particularly want. But enough of that. "Fine. Don't apologize. I still think it was rather rude. Inconvenient, actually." Very much inconvenient.
OH. YES. "Actually, we do." Onto happier things? NO. "Have you told Alice?"

She made a face at Lottie's question. It wasn't even that the question was odd but more that it was a 'NO'. Not everyone that she ran into got smacked with the title friend, especially not people like him. Decent conversations could be had yes but friend? She wouldn't say that. "....." She looked at her cauldron cake before deciding to give a proper answer. "Not exactly, I think he's one of those people I can tolerate in moderation. He's a friend of yours though." Because THAT was obvious Ms. Smiles A lot.
She waved off the correction. Was it important? The stuff didn't taste very good anyway.
"Yeah, this other dude, Benjamin. He said he knew him too--You should have seeeeen it Lottie! I was hiding out in the Western Concourse and saw him riding his skateboard. He. Collided. With. The. Pavement. It was the most hilarious thing I've seen all day. I wish you could have seen it too but now I'm inclined to believe you were busy talking to um...Garrick." That was his name. Right. There was an accusing look that followed shortly after.
She sunk back in her seat again, possibly taking up more of the seat. Just getting comfy. "You have a joke on your mind?" She tilted her head looking over at her. "You've been smirking for the longest time and it's usually only the best jokes that leave people smirking." She wanted to hear the joooooke.
"And I'll agree it might have been inconvenient but I still don't see how it could be rude..." It just wasn't coming to her. As for the erm...Alice situation..."I haven't. Um...I actually haven't seen her since I got to the station." NOT THAT SHE WAS LOOKING FOR HER!!!

She wasn't sure where Laura had went, maybe she should look for her.. She put it in her memory to look in a second.
Finding an empty compartment, Minerva walked into it and sat down. Ethan had gone to do his prefect thing with his prefect people and she hadn't seen anyone else. Where was Jory, or Taylor, or even Ariana. Shrugging it off she knew she would find them later. She frowned a little even though she was super happy, but it was sad knowing Damon wouldn't be coming in to sit for this train ride and the fact that this was a preview of next term when Ethan wouldn't just be up at the front of the train.. Shaking that thought of her head she looked out the window a bit...
The almost sixteen year old dug his hands into the pockets of his jeans and started wandering down the corridor of the train. His grey-blue eyes scanned each compartment he went past, trying not to think about how creepy he might be coming across. Because, really, all he was doing was looking into compartments, looking at people and then walking away. Creepy, no?
Eh.
He was just on the search for a familiar face and he would have sat with his girlfriend but the girl was up front in the Prefect's Compartment so... he was here. At the back of the train. Trying to find someone to sit with and mentally kicking his Hufflepuff traits to go into motion.
The fifth year was about to give up when... "MINNIE!" Grinning widely, the boy pushed open the door to the compartment, his eyes lighting up at the sight of his pseudo sister. "Hey! Erm... can I sit here?"
She made a face at Lottie's question. It wasn't even that the question was odd but more that it was a 'NO'. We see the face, Lex. Did Lottie care? Not really. She was only expecting an answer, and waiting for one as well, since it seemed Lex was pondering on what she'd say. Even if actually seemed that she wanted to make no comments on the matter. "Nice to know you may understand my position, too." She didn't need to add any further details to that comment, did she? A smirk was set in place after she spoke, but faded into a small smile before she replied to the other bit. The friend bit. She was looking out the window again. "I think so." Come to think of it, it was rather odd, wasn't it? How this was only the second time they've met and she was already considering him a friend. "Yeah, he is."Smile.
Oh, Benjamin? She knew nothing about Benjamins. And eyebrow was raised and her eyes turned to Lex again. She was hiding? Well, that was interesting. That would explain why she never found Lex. The third year Hogwartian still laughed softly at the story. "That must have been amusing to see. It entertained you." CLEARLY, since she was telling it with such excitement. Wait, Benjamin? "You wouldn't know if he goes by Benjy?" Same as she went as Lottie? Either way, "Skateboarding. That should be fun." Like, to try.
And what was that look for? Lottie smiled again, "ACTUALLY, I was looking for you, then I found him and stayed with him. You were bound to appear at any moment." Merlin, that was correct.
HAHAHAHA. "No, but there's something about this that seems similar." And she wouldn't mentioned anything else on the matter because she might find out something she doesn't intend on finding out.
"We'll agree to disagree, fair enough?" She must say 'yes' to this, at least. "I reckon you wouldn't, since you were hiding and all." Her smile disappeared, she actually looked worried now, "You'll tell her, yes?" Sooner or later.

It was safe to say that Lex was making another face. Lottie was talking in metaphors or something because she wasn't getting it or the look on her face. "What are you talking about? I don't have a clu--" OOOHHHH!!! She was possibly going to argue that she might have felt the same way about Aidan but see, it was DIFFERENT!! Think about it Lottie. You've known Aidan longer. She needed some time of not liking this guy before the two could be compared.
Felix gave up on semi-stalking Mags and curled up in her lap again, this distracted her only a little but not for long because when she looked over at Lottie again the girl was still smiling more with her confirmation that the two really were friends.
Blink. Bliiiiiiiiiiiiiink.
A happy Lottie made for a happy Lexa but when Lexa didn't know why Lottie was happy and smiley and just oh so pleased with the whole world, it worried her...it worried her A LOT.
She staaaaaaaaaared over at her, realizing something without actually being willing to realize. This was the part where she brought herself back to not noticing more things because she was NOTICING and wasn't sure how she felt about NOTICING. Was it any wondering why she chose not to notice most times?????
We see nothing Lottie. You are not over there smiling every two seconds. Noooooope.
OH! QUESTION! She could answer questions!! It meant she could go on not NOTICING while she did so. Ahem. "I think he might actually. Why? Have you heard of him?? Run into him too? Ended up talking for half the day as well?" But anyway. "It was highly entertaining, he kept winking though. I'm thinking that might have been why he fell in the first place."Shrug.
Hehe, yeah, she did show up. "Similar how???" Lottie, you knew she was curious, why would you only give half an answer? She nodded in full agreement. Agreeing to disagree was PERFECT! She could do that too!!! "I think I'll tell her at the feast...?" That was okay, right?

Max nodded. "Yes, your Master, Ethan." He moved his eyes from the bouncer to her and watched as she seemed so prideful. "Oh, He's a prefect now? So he's joined the ranks of the goody-two shoes point pushers?" Max didn't like prefects to be honest, he knew a few and he just didn't trust them, now he REALLY had to keep on eye on Ethan. "Good for Mr. Perfect..Well, Mrs. Perfect Prefect..i have better things to do than be looked down on." He bent over and picked up his (Rather Heavy) Cat.
Glare.. GLARE.. Minerva glared at him. Who was this person in front of her, she didn't know him. He was surely not the Maxwell that she had become friends with end of second term, or the one that helped her through things the end of third term. Nope.. that Maxwell was so long gone. He so started this glaring by his very first comment, why couldn't he just keep his comments to himself. "Fluffy come here.. You don't want to play with that cat. It might say it's your friend then all of the sudden one day decide to do something stupid and act like it's all your fault."
Her looks did not stop, because he didn't know when to shut his mouth. "I don't know what kind of weird little names you and Elliot use, but Ethan is no way my master. We respect each other a little more then that." Seriously who did he think he was, rude is what she wanted to say. That and a few other things, but she was in a good mood. How couldn't she, they were going back to school, back to friends, books, classes, and more books. Rolling her eyes Minerva smiled just a bit, "Just because someone works hard in classes and earns points for their houses does not make them a goody-two shoes. He has worked very hard and deserves to be prefect. I'm sorry if your to thick headed to see that." Now her blood was really starting to boil. Why did he do this to her, why did she always let him do this to her. She just looked at him, Mrs. Perfect Prefect, oh Maxwell were you slipping on come backs.. "Obviously your mistaking me for someone else. I'm far from married, I'm far from perfect, and last I checked I'm no where near a Prefect title. So maybe you should figure that out before speaking."
Looking down on him, she wasn't looking down on him. He started this REMEMBER, he was the one that started this argument, this entire train and he had to find her compartment. Seriously why was her luck that bad, "If you think I'm looking down on your then you must think very little of yourself. I don't look down on anyone. I have no right to." Darn insecurities getting in the way of her confidence she averted her eyes and was glad he was picking up his fat cat. Now maybe he would just leave her be.
The almost sixteen year old dug his hands into the pockets of his jeans and started wandering down the corridor of the train. Minerva jumped a bit at the sound of her name. Was she really that deep into thought, yes she really was. Looking up her startled look turned into a huge smile, "Alec" Her adopted little brother, oh slight frown, yes her real little brother would have been on this train today if it wasn't for that stupid plane crash.. Shaking it out of her head she smiled again, "Please.. sit.. sit.. Ethan is up with the other Prefects and I haven't really seen anyone else yet. Is that were Ella is?"
Of course they were in the same boat, Ella was captain now so she would be up there as well. "How is Ella doing, she nervous about Captain? She is going to do great!" Yes, her little badgers were growing up so fast, proud big sister feelings thinking about Ella now captain and Alec, Ella, Sophie, and Laura were all fifth years. Even little Blissy was a fourth year. It just seemed crazy. They all still seemed like first years.

Bliss walked all the way down the seemingly never ending train corridor, lost in thought and well, utterly miserable. Her head was mixed up and she didn't know what to think, but hopefully .. soon .. she'd have some sort of idea.
She found an empty carriage right at the back.
She sat.
She didn't think anymore. That was for later, when she'd maybe talk to West.
Glare.. GLARE.. Minerva glared at him. Who was this person in front of her, she didn't know him. He was surely not the Maxwell that she had become friends with end of second term, or the one that helped her through things the end of third term. Nope.. that Maxwell was so long gone. Darn insecurities getting in the way of her confidence she averted her eyes and was glad he was picking up his fat cat. Now maybe he would just leave her be.
Max eyed her in a deadly way. "Don't talk about Tiberius, he's a better friend than you've ever been!" He snarled a little and snugged his heavy cat. "I never said it was your fault that we kissed, i said it was your fault we're not friends...because it is." He sighed because she was obviously being very stupid, did she not understand why he was mad at her?
He laughed a bit. "Elliot and i don't use 'Weird names' and i'm sure your respect each other soooooo much." He rolled his eyes because again she seemed so stupid. "Just because that's great for some people doesn't mean that's something we should i care so much about and act like it's the greatest thing in the world." Yes he still found the whole thing to be very stupid. "I didn't mean it like 'you're perfect' i meant it like you pretend you are, you're so uppity and pretentious and so much 'holier than thou' and i'm sick of it."
"I know who i am and i'm NOT insecure and you're right, you have no right to look down on me..but apparently you're too good to be friends with me...so whatever!" He said walking off and bumping into her on the way off..
It was safe to say that Lex was making another face. Lottie was talking in metaphors or something because she wasn't getting it or the look on her face. "What are you talking about? The faces needed to stop, really. But, "Exactly." After she'd seemed clueless, Lex seemed to grasp what she'd meant. AND NO, it was not different. Or maybe it was, but Lottie was saying it wasn't for the sake of...Merlin, whatever.
She needn't worry, honestly, it was entirely normal for Lottie to smile, wasn't it?
However entirely normal it was, Lottie bit her lip and played with her bracelets (yes, the silver one that Lex gave her, and the pink one that looked just like the blue one she'd given Lex), in reality, she was trying not to feel uncomfortable by all the staring. Whatever Lex was thinking, Lottie'd disagree with.
Nooothing happening over here. Except excessive smiling, which wasn't happening anymore because she was biting her lip.
SMIRK. What? Where did all those questions come from? She was merely smirking because she'll have to mention someone again, "Your best friend Garrick has a cousin named Benjy, or that's what he calls him, and he goes to Hogwarts too." There, end of story. She even shrugged a bit. Yet kept the smirk. Best friend Garrick. Haha. We kid, Lex. "I actually don't know him." SO, no, we did not spend half the day talking to him. Where did that come from, Lex? Then came laughter. "He might have winked too much, then."
You know what? She'd missed Lex.
"Just similar, though quite reversed." Seriously, Lex knew. Also, YES, agree to disagree, that was perfect. Brilliant.
OH NO. "I think you should tell her sooner than that...," no, wait, "...although, you wouldn't be able to get away from her if you tell her on the train...," because Lottie was considering all the possible scenarios, "...yes, I think the feast, that works." She'll be keeping an eye on that table, unless she decided to sit there instead of the yellow one.

It was because he was looking for her. And because he saw her duck into a compartment and immediately sprinted down the corridor, dodging other students and jumping over luggage.
Not that he was desperate to talk to his girlfriend or anything.
It was just important that he did. Or let her... talk to him. Or just be there. Or... or something. It didn't matter why, he just had to.
West was right behind her and he slipped into the compartment and turned to give her a hopeful look as he pulled the door shut.
Could he... sit?

Ambrose finally made it to the back cars. He stopped at a compartment that did't look too full. Hauling his trunk in he shoved it into storage and sat down and looked around at the other other students."Hi." was all he said before pushing his chaotic blond hair back from his steely blue eyes. Reaching into his pocket he took out a small, old book.
The train rides were usually long and he liked to read. It was his second year at Hogwarts and he was looking forward to getting back to his studies. He wanted to be an Auror like his uncle.
He looked up again at the others, through the hair that refused to stay out of his eyes, as they chatted away about their holidays and other stuff.

Pfffft, Lex was going to disregard that completely. There was no 'exactly' because the situations just weren't the same and she wouldn't look at them like they were. Nuh-uh. This meant they were going to have to agree to disagree again, right? That was easy enough. In fact it was already done and now they were going to stop talking about this completely.
It wasn't usually a habit of hers to sit staring at Lottie but surely there could have been some kind of exception this time because the girl had moved from smiling to making a meal of her own lips.
HEY THE SILVER RIBBON AND PINK BRACELET!!!
Oh but no, she was not going to get distracted this would take effort because Lottie was a bit off. Only ever so slightly. Nothing major but definitely noticeable; to her anyway. This meant more staring which she continued doing.
The staring stop and she fought against all the muscles in her face that wanted nothing more than to SCOWL. Neutral faces were better anyway. "I guess that would explain stuff then." She said with a simple shrug. So THAT was the connection the dude had to that Garrick guy. Heh. That made stuff he said just a little more interesting now. Definitely. Yes, she also notice the smirk but she'd ignore it for now because that way she wouldn't scowl. "Maybe, he should have known better then." Who winked at people while riding a skateboard? Not that he did. The winking started after he crashed.
She nodded at that. Interesting similarity. Maybe she just wouldn't question it anymore. Didn't seem like she wanted needed to anyway.

"Gee, thanks Lottie. That...uh...that's helped me make up my mind significantly."Gulp. The train only extended so far! She wasn't ready to be knocked out with a beater's bat just 'cause she ate a piece of chocolate!!! Greeeat, and now that thought was in her mind and wouldn't go away. You see the worry Lottie? After following the other students on bard the train, Raven started looking for a seat. She didn't want one in the front or even in the middle. If she had one of those spots, then she would have to get out of the train first and she didn't want to lead. Plus, she was SURE that there were groups of "cool' friends who preferred to sit in the front. At least she thought so.
So she went all the way to the back and sat down. To her surprise there were many students in the back also. She sat down anyway, hoping that she didn't take a reserved seat.

Rather true. The situations were slightly different, because the ones involved were different people. Fair enough. No more mentioning it.
ANDSHEWASSTILLSTARING.
She was about to ask if there was something wrong (disregarding the fact that her reactions weren't of the usual kind), but then she stopped, no need to ask anyone anything. And the bracelets seemed perfect, so...
OKAY, maaaaybe she shouldn't have said the 'best friend' part, Lex didn't seem to take it too well. "I was only joking." Just in case. However, her words made her think about the encounter with said Benjamin. "Explain stuff?" Lex was acting like Aidan. Or like herself, really, since they were all being rather cryptic. And it was incredibly strange, too.
Right. The smirk subsided a liiiiittle. "Maybe. But then he wouldn't have collided with the pavement." Was she trying to cheer Lex up? Yes, she was.
And she might be epically failing, too.
Oops. "You know, I think nothing will happen. I just think she'll be sad that Frank won't be around anymore, but nothing will happen to you." Her usual smile was shown after she spoke. Alice liked Lex, yes? Just as much as Lottie did.

He sighed because she was obviously being very stupid, did she not understand why he was mad at her?
Minerva sighed, but not sad and not mad, just frustrated. "I know why your mad, but you know why this had to be." She glared at him a little hurt even though she didn't want to show hurt in front of him. Was he that dumb, dumb boy, that couldn't figure out why they weren't friends. It was better for both of them and better for their relationships. It was obvious their friendship was lethal and was going to be harmful to anyone around them including them.
Grumbling to herself she was back irritated towards him, "It is a great thing. You aren't just given something like that for being just anyone. It is earned for working very hard. Just because you do not care about your education, doesn't mean you can stand there and cut down anyone who is trying to succeed in classes." Who the heck did he think he was. Jerk. Moving her eyes away from him again she didn't want him to see the doubt that was now in her, "I don't think I'm perfect nor do I ever act like I am. I know that I am faaaaarrrrr from perfect. I am further away then most people."
She kept her eyes away, she was done, she was mad at herself for getting this upset again by him. She swore she was done dealing with Maxwell and done being hurt, upset, and furious with him and now he was doing it all over again. "I.... DON'T.. LOOK.. DOWN.." she didn't get the rest out because he stormed off bumping into her as he went. She fell backward a bit and grabbed her shoulder where he knocked into her. Glaring at her puff, "This is your fault, get in the compartment now!!" She turned letting the puff in and slamming the door closed.. Fluffy was lucky she was cute, because she might be kicked off the train for causing that confrontation.

Only joking? Only joking? Mmm. Mmkay, if she said so. That didn't mean it was funny though, just to be clear. She just wasn't going to make a big deal over something that had the original intention of making her...laugh? Okay. She was finding it hard to see how it might have been a joke. It wasn't very funny. Lex took care in selecting her bestfriends. Just look at Lottie! You didn't just pick one of those up off the street, Lottie's were hard to find!
"Hm? Oh, yeah explain stuff. Like, I mentioned meeting Garrick and he seemed kinda bitter about the whole thing. He wouldn't tell me what relation he had to him either but I think you just cleared that bit up." There was another casual shrug. "He was talking about his cousin though and how his Mum treated his cousin better or something like that."
She reached into her bag and pulled out a chocolate frog before tossing the bag across to Lottie's seat in case the girl wanted some too. It was a big bag of candy and she wouldn't sit there eating it all by herself.
"Help yourself, I think there might be raspberry flavoured stuff in there too. I'm not sure. Daddy got me some muggle candy too."
Hahaha! Yeah, she got Lex laughing now. "Good point. I don't think I'd have been nearly as entertained if he'd actually had made the trick." Hehehe. Nah. Sometimes even the best people had to fall for her entertainment...with obvious exceptions of course. Duh.
This time, not even Lottie's smile was helping. She didn't want to think of a sad Alice, especially not when it would have been her fault in the first place. It was all that bloody windows fault--and FRANK'S but she couldn't very well blame him anymore--he was dead! "You might be right...I'll still wait for the feast though. Maybe they'll have some good dessert to help distract her...? The starting feast usually has good stuff, yeah?"

They all still seemed like first years.
... Oh?
Alec blinked a little as he looked at his older sister. That small jump or whatever it was that Minnie did made Alec shift from one foot to the other a little awkwardly. He didn't disturb her or anything, right? Because even if she was sitting alone for the time being, sometimes people wanted to be alone. And if he was disturbing her alone time...
OH! A grin spread across the younger badger's face before he bounded over towards the seat opposite Minnie's. "Thanks!" he said, sitting down and leaning back a little. ... Oh! ETHAN! The awesome older Ravenclaw boy that was dating his older sister. Alec really approved of the two of them being together. "Oh right! Yeah... yeah, Ells is there as well," Which was... sad, actually. Just a bit. But he was happy for her so... "How is Ethan, by the way? And how are you?"
... Oh... Questions about his girlfriend. Alec should be able to answer these perfectly well, yeah? "She's great! I think... she's really excited to be going back?" It did seem like it with the way the girl had practically tackled him when she saw him. "I think she is but... you're right! She's going to make a brilliant Captain!" And if Minnie thought it was true then that was two against one, yeah? "Is Ethan nervous about Prefecting?"

Ambrose saw a girl come in and take a seat in the compartment he was in. Leaning forward he said,"Hi."
He didn't talk much but he decided to say hello to girl. His mother was always telling him, 'hi is the doorway to finding new friends.' So this time decided to take his mom's advice.

Galena leaned on the window, she looked out at the scenery roaring by. Turning her head to the girl who just sat down she said "think most people would want to sit in the front?" The girl had looked confused, and Galena being very intuitive had also thought that more people would be sitting up front at first.
Minerva sighed, but not sad and not mad, just frustrated. "I know why your mad, but you know why this had to be." Once he had taken his turn patrolling the corridors, Ethan decided to take a break and search for Minerva. The prefect compartment was okay, but he did want to sit with his girlfriend for at least part of the trip. He spotted his Siamese further down the train and he followed her, wondering if she was going into Min's compartment in search of her and Fluffy perhaps. And no, she wasn't, he noticed, as he turned into a compartment with a couple of startled first years.
"Elise." Ethan stared at the cat as he snapped his fingers and pointed to the corridor. She hurried to the door and padded along the corridor again. He gave a nod to the younger students before leaving and following after the cat. He looked at her curiously as she stopped in front of a closed door and pawed at it. Maybe this was Min's? He peeked in the window, noticing a familiar face, and pulled open the door. "Hey, beautiful.." he grinned at the sight of her and Elise trotted inside. "Miss me?" He took a seat and stretched his legs out in front of him.

Maybe they'll have some good dessert to help distract her...? The starting feast usually has good stuff, yeah?"
Well, that was simply weird. All Lottie could wonder was why he didn't want to tell her the relation he had to Garrick. It had nothing to do with the fact that his own mum treated him better, though, because that made no sense. And while Garrick mentioned they bickered, he thought of him as a best friend, so...why, Benjamin? Weird, see? "That's probably not very nice," her mum didn't have any preference between her and her brother (not one that showed), nor with cousins or anyone, really.
She felt bad for Benjamin. Not for long, for she still had to meet him and make her own opinion on the boy, didn't she?
Gasp. A chocolate frog. Her mind immediately went to Frank. It wasn't Lex's fault, but still. OH, raspberry stuff? Lottie made herself comfortable in her seat and pulled the bag of candy towards her. There was something muggle with coconut, she decided to try that. Feeling exotic? "Thank you, Lex." She smiled, unwrapping the candy. "You know, I tried a raspberry chocolate over the summer...and it tasted amazing. Maybe we shouldn't mix the hot chocolate with the tea, but with plain raspberries instead." They were going to get their signature drink, you'll see.
TRUE. And she was laughing. Not failing, then. "You probably wouldn't have noticed him, even." Guess they'll never know.
Awwww. Her expression was incredible. "It wasn't your fault, you know? I'm also positive that the charm was going to wear off eventually," so, Frank was only awaiting death. It came sooner, but it was coming either way. "They usually do. Hopefully they won't take forever to bring the food like the last feast," REMEMBER? When Milton was still in school. Ah, Milton. She was missing him already.
Now that her trunk was where it should be, not endangering other peoples feet and safely put away in the luggage compartment, Aanya spent half her time walking up and down the Hogwarts express trying to find an empty compartment. Not to say that she was shy or an introvert or anything. Quite the contrary, but most the compartments she walked past were occupied by, well, older students. And she really just wanted to find other first years if she could.
But, she had no such luck.
So instead, she slipped into the first empty compartment she could find and got comfortable on the window seat and looked out the window.
...
As beautiful as the scenery was, Aanya was .... bored.

Not very nice was a rather civilized way of putting it so Lex would use Lottie's description. "Yup, not very nice. Attention's never splits too evenly if you ask me...or well it shouldn't be." But that was just her selfishness talking. She hated that she had to share her father with her sister. First the creature took her old bedroom, then she took over the rug in the living room! It was all too much!!! "I'm sure it can't be anything too bad, because I suggested he break his cousin's leg and he said he liked him too much." Go figure.
There was gasping? Why was there gasping--oh right. Chocolate frog. Er...was she meant to...not eat it? It was just candy...but Frank...She thought it over hesitantly for a moment and had to remind herself that this was NOT Frank and that frog looked different from all the others.
Now she could proceed.
"Oooo, you did??" And it was a success. "I think we'll just have to do that then! So are we settling on that being our drink??" Lottie had good taste and she was sure the girl had some vague idea of what she herself thought was delicious or not so she would trust her on this. This meant the drink was amazing.
Oh, nail on the head right there. "You're right about that too. I wouldn't have. When he was riding by I was in the middle of munching on a cookie--a CHOCOLATE CHIP cookie." The world was lost to her.
She perked up at her friend's suggestion. "Yeah? I mean, Alice has had him forever and the charm was fine...you sure?" She was willing to fill herself with false hope. Really, she was. "Ugh, I forgot about the incredibly long waiting time for the food. I'll need to distract her until then or something." SIGH.

This. Was. Awesome! Bay had never been on a train but she had seen them in pictures and even the pictures hadn't looked this amazing. She loved everything about the train and had spent the better part of an hour exploring the train. At long last she was satisfied with her little stroll and made her way to the back of the train.
Raising up on her tiptoes at every window the 11 year old searched for her new friends. At long last she looked through a window and recognized the faces within. Putting her weight into the door jam she pushed the door open.
"This place is awesome! Did you know there's a candy trolley going around?"
