Prefects' Bathroom
 

As you walk along the fifth floor corridor and pass by a statue of a man with his gloves on the wrong hands, you see a series of identical-looking doors. Hanging on the fourth door to the left of the statue is large portrait that you don't quite recall being there before. The portrait is an enchanted image of people talking and lounging about in a room full of comfortable furniture.

Upon close examination, it would appear that the portrait seems to be hiding a secret of some sort amidst the painted laughter and smiles. But this castle is full of secrets to begin with and full of secrets that really aren't secrets at all, so it's easy to dismiss this portrait as something odd, but nothing more.

Or is there more to this portrait than meets the eye?

In truth, this portrait serves as the doorway to the Prefects' Lounge and is accessible only to the Prefects and Quidditch Captains of each House. The portrait and the people in it will never divulge its secret, though will relay messages to those inside - if there's anyone inside - in the event of an emergency.

The Interior of the Bathroom

Along the side of the room opposite the door are fancy stalls with toilets inside. Opposite the toilets and in roughly the center of the room is a large, Olympic-size swimming pool-like tub with bath taps surrounding it. The pool-tub is sunk into the ground so that only the tiles surrounding it are level with the floor of the bathroom. Above the short wall at the head of the pool is an ornately framed portrait of a mermaid sunning herself on a sea rock.

There are about a hundred golden taps surrounding the whole pool-like tub, with a different jewel set in each tap. These bath taps all run different-colored bath water, soap bubbles, and foam. There is a wicker basket of bath supplies against the wall with the door, such as soap, bath oil, bath powder, bath salts, shampoo, hair spray, and conditioner, as well as a basket full of freshly laundered, super soft towels. Looking at the tub, one would imagine it would take quite some time to fill, but it actually fills remarkably fast, considering its size.

The fourth wall, opposite the foot of the pool-tub, houses several stretchy, soft lounge-like chairs and chaises, some made of wicker, some covered in velvet. Prefects may choose to bathe and then relax, or perhaps take a nap after they're clean.

Under the bathroom are sewers that can be entered by blasting open sections of the wall. These sewers may or may not be a part of the passages and tunnels of the Chamber of Secrets... but we'd recommend just using the bathroom for bath purposes.

After eating dinner in the Great Hall, Daichi's first instinct was to go to the Slytherin Common Room. He could practise the umbrella making spell there but then another idea popped in his mind.

He had never been to the Prefect's bathroom before and ever since his third year he was so curious as to what it looked like. And now that he had a badge he could check it out! Reaching the fifth floor corridor he stood in front of the portrait and told it the password that he had gotten at the beginning of the year.

With a squeal of excitment, the Slytherpuffrin stepped inside the bathroom and his mouth fell open in amazement. THIS PLACE WAS HUUUUGE! Quickly bending down to take off his shoes and socks, Daichi placed them near the entrance and continued to walk further.

Sitting on his hands and knees, he looked over the edge of the swimming pool and found that no water was in them yet. He pouted and looked around. He wasn't supposed to fill the pool with and aguamenti charm right? It was then that he realised that the whole pool was surrounded with little taps. With a frown, the Slytherin turned one on and jumped in surprise when normal water flowed out of it.

One wasn't enough so he reached for a second one and turned it around. This time it was water mixed with foam. He was only turning taps and already having fun~ He stood up and walked swiftly to the other side. Here , he picked a random tap and out came...

"BUBBLES~!!"

The pool was quickly filling with water , foam and BUBBLES! and when it was filled, Daichi stared down at it. It looked like he could walk on all that foam. But he wasn't stupid so he wasn't going to jump in the pool. Especially not with his clothes still on. Because he couldn't swim he simply rolled up his pants until they sat around his knees. He dipped a toe in the water followed with both of his legs.

He leaned back, supporting his upper body with his arms and sighed. He sat there for atleast 20 minutes, splashing the water with his feet and pretending to have dolphin flippers when he remembered his real reason here. He grabbed his wand and took out a shoelace from his pocket. The same one he had tried to Transfigurate back at the duck pond. " Protegamur Aqua!" he shouted and made a triangle movement with his wand.

He pictured a yellow colored umbrella in his mind and focused on it. The shoelace twisted and turned until an umbrella became visible next to him. MEEP! He'd done it! With the hopefully perfect umbrella next to him, Daichi decided to enjoy the silence of the private bathroom for a little longer. Splashing the water and then letting the water drain away.

He grabbed a towel and dried his legs and feet before putting on his shoes and walking out of the room. He was DEFINITELY coming back here again.

Tarot Cards? How to spend time with them?

The red head wasn't entirely sure, but what she was sure of was that she herself wanted to have her relaxing-me-time and maybe bringing a tarot card along wouldn't hurt.

With her gown over her bathing suit Renesmee set out towards the Prefects bathroom it was one of her favorite privileges of being a Captain because she had to admit that these bathrooms were beyond amazing compared to any other she'd been to at Hogwarts. The bath was her favorite of this bathroom and whenever she needed to distress this was her first place to come to.

In front of the fourth door to the left the sixth year examined the portrait with a pout for only a few moments and then entered the secret bathroom with her tarot card in hand. He was a Captain..so he was allowed here too then. It only made sense...or to her at least.

Placing her gown and tarot card on a chair, she made sure that her Captain Jack Sparrow was all comfy. As for herself she stepped inside the Olympic sized bath tub and half spoke to her tarot card as she relaxed, telling him all sorts of things such as her life story, life problems and anything else just so they could bond a little. It was silly to speak to an inanimate obeject...but you know this was normal homework at Hogwarts.

Done Ness put her gown on, dried herself up and then lay on one of the couch like seats closing her eyes as she took a nap with her card.
