Wandering around a bit, the fifth year old found lots of intriguing prints. She paused and bent down, observing each of them for a second. No thoughts were coming...No thoughts...None...They didn't seem recognizable... She continued walking and saw some familiar prints...DEER!! THEY WERE DEER!! She loved deer!! Deer were just cute!!!! She looked at them and smiled!!! She skipped back "So I found deer tracks!AND its BAMBI!! Not really but all deers are BAMBIS!!! So Bambi started walking in one direction and then started to walk into a different direction and then into another" She smiled it was totally Bambi! "Bambi started walking another direction. I guess it didn't know where he was going! I think he was looking for his mum! And than something crossed his path! I couldn't tell what prints they belonged to..." She pointed in the directions each time she said each of them. "It was a bunny....Thumper!! It was Thumper!! And Bambi than started to walk with Thumper! Side by side!! THUMPER AND BAMBI TOGETHER FOREVER!!!" And how did this relate to Nerida's own journey? "Well maybe this means that when I go on a journey, I'll be looking all over...for something I don't know what...and then something will cross my path maybe someone...I don't know what and it will make me change directions!? So me and someone or something together forever!!" Yeah maybe she had gotten a little crazy with the whole Bambi thing...and Thumper... She didn't even know if they were rabbit prints... |
West hadn't started with the footprints thing, it was far too interesting watching other people to begin with and besides he KINDA wanted to make some FAKE tracks for someone to discover and analyse? That'd be way more fun. He had just asked himself and advised himself. Westomancy at its finest. He looked up at his sister when she hollered about snakes. Since when was she scared of snakes? ... and what was she doing to his captain? "Hey Aspen?" He wandered closer and then quite casually, after watching the struggle for a moment, "Dylan needs his eyes and fingers for seeking okay? On account of Quidditch and I don't want us to lose." But probably the rest was fair game. West trusted that Aspen had her reasons. He wandered off again, contemplating false tracks. |
Not moving on, just checking in. You all still have time to post. SPOILER!!: People doing good work, no need of help So they were all working, yes? Calista had taken a few minutes to step into the cool water of the lake before she was being called over by various students to check out the prints they had found. They had found prints from snakes, deer, and even a cat or a Kneazle, how interesting. And they each were doing very well with the Ichnomancy reading, even hyper little Alexa blabbering on about candy. "Good work guys, we will give the rest of the students some time to finish up. While you wait for the next activity, why don't you write some of your thoughts down in your notes or just appreciate the nice day." Like sitting in the mud or laying in grass--decent school-age kid activities. Quote:
"Well dear As for the kangaroos. "And I fear we don't have any Kangaroo's to tract here unfortunately, Mr. Branxton. Although I'm sure their paths would be fun to cross." Obviously. Great questions! Quote:
Calista calmly made her way towards the flailing Gryffindor Captain with her hands out infront as if she was approaching a baby deer, so little and afraid that it could run off at any moment. "Sweetie, that doesn't seem to be what I see in these prints. I think that instead of you having to change your life because you are doing something wrong, there will be a time where you are presented with an opportunity may help you make a better change in your life." See, it's all in the prints. The Universe wasn't out to get all of them, unless they did something horrible of course and that was just Karma. Quote:
"Hello Miss Castell." She smiled cheerfully and then followed her back to the rocky edge of the banks where she found some cat prints. Her question was a sound one and one she would readily expect from a curious Ravenclaw. "Excellent question dear and I would say that if you are ready for this, as a beginner I wouldn't expect it necessarily, but if you'd like, yes you can add the surroundings into your reading of the prints." So in this instance she could make note of the fact that the cat had been trying to elevate its self into the rocks which could stand for bettering itself, if she believed it had climbed them or that they were merely just hazards. She would be interested in seeing what way she took it. Quote:
SPOILER!!: ASLAN and a little West After she had finished speaking with Beatrice, the Divination Professor made her way back to her original teaching spot to check on Dylan and Aspen *shiver* like she had been planning to. She hadn't been called over by either of them to check out their prints and-- "Have you two started working yet--?" Just as she had come into sight of the two seventh years a whole array of bizarre activity took place: First the girl started to laugh like the Cackling Stump, then the boy said something about kissing her, Odessa shouted about a snake and then proceeded to try and bite the Captain face and then danced around him (some sort of strange ritual?), then she tripped him, jumped onto him and then proceeded to administer what the blonde could only describe as 'love taps'. All the while the girl's third year brother watched on and then suggested not to poke Dylan's O_________O "ASPEN ODESSA!" Callie pulled her wand out and immediately levitated the girl off of the boy and sat her down a good 10 feet away. "What has gotten into you?!" Honestly though she was yelling at herself for leaving the two together and not expecting something strange from this girl. "As a seventh year and bright student I would have expected better from you as a role model, especially with your brother present. Ten points from Ravenclaw for your... indiscretions!" And then she turned to the Slytherin on the floor, no doubt terrified. He wasn't completely innocent either he hadn't told her to stop....whatever it was she was doing to him. "Mr. Montmorency, I don't know what is going on here but I expect you to finish the assignment I have given you and not to go near her for the remainder of the lesson, do you hear me?" She gave him a look with her blue eyes that said she meant business. She hadn't expected this from him. She tired to find West but she couldn't see straight, hopefully he had started his work. "As further punishment, the both of you will be spray-cleaning everyone's feet when class is dismissed. Do I make myself clear?" She had been merciful, she could have easily gotten buckets and sponges from the Groundskeeper |
looking for tracks... SPOILER!!: Profy Callie And the little one listened quietly, looking at the tracks and at how the Professor was explaining about the bird and the track its made. Now they were made to look around for other tracks left by other animals. "Okay!" she eagerly nodded her head then started looking at the marks left on the sand. Hmm what to look for.... "Ohhhh....." Cat prints, or they looked to be one, at least the cat at their temple leave prints on the ground very similar to this. She bent down for a closer look trying to figure out what she might learn... |
Cat prints . . . meow! Rawdon started looking around at the ground as he wandered away from the group. Rocks. Do you think she'd notice if I picked up a few and tossed them into the water? Yeah, she'd notice. Bummer. After seeing nothing but other footprints in the sand, he came across a patch of rocks and came to a sudden stop. Tracks. Feline. LOOK AT THOSE CLAWS! Big and little. Must have been walking on the rocks. No mouse tracks or remains in sight. But something got the attention of these ferocious felines. Or maybe they were looking for their outdoor litterbox. Hmm.... "Professor, these are tracks made by two feral cats with wicked sharp claws. Maybe a mother and kitten. Looks like they were walking on the sand and the rocks. The smaller tracks are further away from the bigger ones." Stare. "They're looking for something. Perhaps hunting because they're hungry or maybe the momma cat is trying to show the kitten where the outdoor litterbox is." Translation - I'm gonna get lost searching for the loo on the Ground Floor of the castle. "So maybe this means that my mum has been overly-protective and is now gradually allowing me to become independent." No duh! That was easy! And she is an over-protective Badger mum who insisted on homeschooling me all of these years.... |
Alyssa continued to wander around even as she opened up her journal and began writing in it, updating it as she walked. Text Cut: Alyssa's Divination Journal Alyssa reviewed her notes before closing her journal and continued walking on the sand, enjoying the feel of it between her toes. |
Melody got a close look at the prints. A common answer would be a cat since the prints had claws but having a kitten of her own she knew one thing there claws didn't make that kind of shape. At lest none she knew. Perhaps a tiger but it looked too small. That meant one thing. "If I may professor, I believe these prints are to be dog prints. I am guessing the small ones is from a small dog and the bigger ones is probably a medium to a big size dog. I think it is a dog because cats pads are more circular while a dogs pads are more oval and kind of a rounded teardrop shape like these. On top of that a cats claws normally retract there claws unless they feel threatened or they are about to catch there pray. Dogs also have thicker claws and can not retract there claws which is shown by the prints. The prints look like the dogs are having fun where the mesh of prints are at. It suggests that they play a bit with each other. Then they continue on there journey to find around the rocks in there way. It shows that one can be serious and enjoy themselves during what trials they have to face. To never give up. There is always a way around what blocks your path." |
Oichi felt so confused about this class. Follow animal tracks and interpret them, what??? And now the professor was assigning hoodlum students to wash the entire classes feet after class. Could this class be anymore nuts? Oichi decided to just follow the instructions, sort of. She look on the ground and found animal prints and began to scribble in her notebook. As long as she did not have to turn anything in then she would be fine, even if not she was not too big a fan of divination anyway. |
Cat prints for a 'Kat'... and catching up, methinks. Mhm. Text Cut: Elwood So the duck probably was confused. Check. It was obvious. Now they were expected to find more prints and describe them. Blah. And then relate them to how her life was going. Kat taught that was a bit weird. But anyway... she looked around for more tracks until she found prints. "Paw prints in here, Professor," Kat said. "Maybe a really big cat was here, since the prints don't seem to just be from an ordinary housecat." And how it relates in real life. Kat looked around the prints and noticed rocks. Rocks? "I notice rocks over there, Professor, and I could make an inference that the animal that created these paw prints had to get pass through them so it had to climb up the rocks." Or not. It could totally just jump over it. "I've went through lots of obstacles and hardships in life and experienced one recently, which are represented by the rocks, and I could say that it wasn't easy but it required effort and determination." She hopefully wasn't being too... uhm, expressive. It was just the truth. ............ Kat twitched a bit when she heard Elwood shout. The blonde then stared at her Divination teacher and realised... Oh. Aspen Odessa and... CAPTAIN?! Kat was obviously confused. What's going on with them? Were they... together? Yep, Kat seemed to have more questions about the two than questions about the lesson. Anyway Kat redirected her attention back to the prints, examining it more. |
Cat prints. Quote:
He listened to what the professor had to say, and the way she said it made sense. "Good point." He nodded, almost congratulating her for the answer. Deciding there was no way out of it, Theo took a few steps, cringing at the sand seeping through his toes. He'd walked straight past the snake prints, because honestly, he hadn't noticed it. And to be honest, he couldn't find any, and his eyes were getting a bit tired, so he belt a little lower for extra measure. But he saw the cat ones. Or at least, they looked like a cat. It could possibly be a lion, too. Or a DRAGON. Theo would play it safe with a cat. The third year squatted down low, stroked his imaginary beard for a moment, and thought. "Looks like this cat was walking... to the rock... and the rock looks a little damp so I'm guessing it took a pee." That was the best interpretation he could come up with. To be honest, he was still a little confused. "So if I was on a hike," Cos that's what the professor said, right? "I would go and find another rock...." To pee on and such. "I dunno it's not very clear." There was probably more to interpret but this was just a start. Anyway... the third year looked up after hearing something about Aspen Odessa. Lost house points? Theo didn't mind that at all. |
if anyone wants to 'discover' these marks feel free haha Quote:
West picked up a stick and a few stones and casually used those, along with his hands to make some interesting marks in the sand, managing to make it seem like he was just trying to get a closer look at other things, and you know, maybe like he was a bored kid messing with a stick. Mhmm. He looked around and then casually headed over to the snake trail. Oh yes he had been here all along. West had the most innocent possible expression on his face. Snake trail...s? two snakes? or one trip there and one back? So they were just supposed to make up junk about what it meant? "Okay two snake trails here and that's because where you find one snake," Like a Slytherin snake, not necessarily an actual snake snake, "You'll probably find a whole nest of them, we've got to stick together because sometimes people think we bite bad and then they'll try to stomp us, but that just provokes us and if we're not alone then people will get bit by buddy snakes too." Pause. "So obviously in my journey I'm going to have a BUDDY by my side." He looked at Theo and... since he was all the way over there, it was a mental fist bump. "Also cos they're pretty straight tracks, it means that the ambition and drive is taking me RIGHT where I wanna be. I just gotta go ahead and not make detours. " Totally better than the professor's confusion, right? |
Finding prints... Minerva listened to the instructions and then moved along to see what she could find. As she walked she watched as some other students found tracks and began their work. Trailing off to an area that was more alone she thought it would be a good place to find her own tracks. Moving a little closer to the lake she noticed something and bent down. These looked like something was drug off, maybe into the lake. At first this worried Minerva a little then she followed the tracks and realized they didn't go into the lake or didn't disappear really, but kept going. This animal did not have feet and rolled around it seemed, no not rolled, slide. Then it hit her, these were snake tracks. She bent down again to get a good look at them and try to figure this out. |

The blonde was a bit confused by the whole Aspen/Dylish thing since she was busy actually doing her work but she did catch the punishment part of things. O__O They were meant to CLEAN everyone else's feet? That was just...well it was...weird. Ella didn't want anyone cleaning her feet because well, her feet were hers! Besides, hadn't that Aspen girl like...set someone's shoes on FIRE? O_________O At least that was a rumor Ella had heard. Shudder. She didn't like this, not one bit. |
now found the kitty tracks Just as Aquila bent her knees for a closer look at the sand the Professor gave such a holler it gave her a start. Looking around wide eyed she tried to figure out who was this ASPEN ODESSA the pretty Professor Lady was yelling at. bright student.... role model.... Ravenclaw Oh that was her house! The young Claw stood up in attention and started smiling. Her house was mentioned so... thats a good thing right? Of course she had no idea what the consequences of Ten Points from Ravenclaw actually means. Much to learn this young one has..... When it looked like that commotion has passed she turned her attention back to the patch of sand in front of her. Bending lower she studied the paw prints, hovering her delicate fingers over the indentations. Upon closer inspection these prints look way larger than any cat paw she's ever seen at home, and there are extra indentations with what seem to be claws.... "Oh wow...." she breathed. This was giving her a funny feeling-- the kind when the Priestesses would bade all of them to never go off alone because danger is in their midst. And sometimes that means certain animals are on the prowl for food... *gulp* She took out a parchment and decided to write down things down. Oh this was just like adding stuff in her scrapbook, which she always liked.... SPOILER!!: Aquila's parchment By the time Aquila finished what she had written she was already sitting on the sand, lanky legs tucked beneath her, her feet covered with wet sand. She glances to look at the prints again-- and was promptly distracted by the fancy shaped rocks half burried in the sand. "Ohhh pretty...." maybe something she can keep for her scrapbook? Yes. |
After Belle was done taking notes, she was happy she could enjoy the rest of the day. Belle decided to dip her feet into the water and enjoy the sunshine. This was one of the most relaxing lessons she ever had. She dipped her head back and took in the sunshine. Then Belle heard the professor yelling at some fellow students. All she heard was the student's would have to clean everyone's feet. Ummm...yeah...she was not letting anyone come near her feet. She was capable of doing it on her own. She was 16 turning 17. She was old enough. Why would you make the professor mad on her first day? That seemed inconsiderate. |
cat Sarah began to look. She walked around, her eyes peeled to the ground, trying hard not to walk into somebody. As she walked along the lake she saw some spoor, and she felt like she was the man from the muggle book "Jock of the Bushveld", yet he got lost from following spoor so she did not want to do the same. She saw some feline paw print ahead, ones that lead to a boundry of rocks. The pawprints seemed to fall at regular intervals and then, at the 'lobby' before the rocks they got heavily concentrated. Perhaps that meant that in life, when one reaches a challenge it means they have to work harder, like the cat did- as Sarah had noted that he or it had gone over the rocks. Now as it was divinition, it meant to predict the future. SO it meant that when the going got tough, Sarah should work harder and be more involved and then she would overcome it. |
cat Laura looked around for footprints and suddenly found some, she squatted down to see what she could see and smiled, when she saw that the footprints were from some cool animal, she was sure she had seen them before somewhere, but where, oh yeah she giggled at home when her cat was walking around, so surely that meant they belonged to a cat yeah, surely, she looked at them again and saw that they were surely cats because they had cat paw prints, she smiled, though she was a bit confused as what to do next. |
I've been given permission to EDIT. SPOILER!!: Aspen Odessa What in the..... Suddenly the next thing Dylan knew, Aspen Odessa was on top of him...clamping his mouth shut with her hand. All he could do was STARE at the Ravenclaw and her audacity. No one had ever...attacked him like this... O.O THEY WERE NOT OKAY! STARE! He wriggled beneath her, trying everything in his physical power to get her off of him. She was still giving him the crazy eye...Wait! She wasn't really going to try and take his eyes, was she?! The Slytherin fought against her...but it was in vain...Ravvie!Odessa had him...pinned in an awkward way...and it FELT awkward... GAH! SPOILER!!: West Odessa WEST! YES, save your Captain from your hot dangerous older sister.... Dylan struggled against her more so, pushing himself against her with force, trying to catch her off guard...or something. Merlin... This whole situation...FELT.......weird...and vastly inappropriate... SPOILER!!: Professor Elwood It was short lived, though. Professor Elwood was coming to his rescue! Merlin, Dylan could've kissed her...NOT that he would...She was a Professor and that would've been...frowned upon. When Aspen was lifted off his body, the Slytherin immediately stood, brushing dirt off his clothing. As a response to the Professor...he didn't WANT to go anywhere near her at the moment. It wasn't like he'd been willing! Why was Elwood looking at them like that? It hadn't been what she'd thought!! .......Not that the Slytherin hadn't encouraged the argument. The Professor had a point. He could've made a huge fuss and told her 'NO' and 'STOP'... Also... Dylan could not believe he was being made to clean...feet. Totally gross...and what made that worse...He was not a fan of feet. They quite literally disgusted him in every possible way. Ewww. The Captain would concede, though. Really, he didn't want anymore trouble. "Yes........ma'am." It was gritted out and sounded quite painful to say... He walked off to find some nice...snake tracks to analyse. Crazy females. All of them. ________________ Dylan wandered for a bit, still trying to calm himself down from the physical manhandling. Merlin, it was going to put him in a sour mood for the rest of the day. He could just feel it... ....... SNAKE TRACKS! Allowing (forcing, actually) his attention to zero in and the tracks, he squatted, getting a closer look. Hmmm, he offhandedly wondered if he could correlate this to himself...since he was a different kind of snake...but STILL a snake. Snake-y behavior in general... "It seems like this particular snake wasn't locked onto anything in particular. His tracks aren't straightforward..." Dylan had seen many snake-tracks. The ones that were just straight with no deviating were the ones that had an eye on the prize...maybe? "If I seen this, perhaps I'd think I was...going to have a rather endless day? Maybe nothing of significance would happen?"...because if the snake was just wandering around...that couldn't have meant excitement. Yea, he wasn't that good at this...and his mind was still...rattled. Dylan WOULD get Aspen Odessa back. |

SPOILER!!: More good students and their work Good, good. After the blow-up that she had just unleashed on Dylan and Aspen Callie was happy that some of the kids were behaving and doing as they were told. As she walked around to listen to each of their interpretations and came across an interesting pair of prints that she would have to come check up on later (West's made-up ones xDD), she told them that they too could work on writing their ideas down and waiting for the next activity. SPOILER!!: Questions and those needing a little help "Okay everyone, if you've finished with the animal prints activity please come over here to listen to the instructions for the next and final activity. And if you haven't still come over here." she nodded, obviously she didn't want to have to repeat herself. Right, so animal Ichnomancy--covered. "The next activity we are going to do is the reason why we are not wearing shoes. Human Ichnomancy is different than what we had just been doing because we will be doing readings on just one footprint." She stepped over to a particularly muddy spot on the bank, pressed her foot in it and after a few seconds, removed it to leave a perfect print of her foot. "To read a person's foot print we go to similar rules to Palmistry. The toes represent the mind and higher self so the longer they are, which can be seen by how far the toes prints are from the rest of the foot, the more thoughtful and logical a person is." She moved her finger to point at the middle section of the foot. "The arch is for the person's day-to-day life and the conscious mind, which means if the arched section is short they are more aloof and unaware of what is going on around them and the opposite means they live in the moment and try to be as active in their surroundings as possible." And the last section was up next. "The heel, or back part of the foot represents primal instincts, health and basic drives of the subconscious. So the deeper your heel is in the mud the more in tune and well-rounded your health is." Phew, it was a lot to talk about from just one little footprint in the mud. Hopefully they had all gotten it. "So what I want you to do is go make a print in the mud and then walk around to read one other person's. I then want you to write down on a piece of parchment what your intrepretation of them is based on the print and give it to them when you're finished." OOC: I need you to post your character making the print and YOU making a drawing of it using either PhotoShop, paint or some other graphics making program (no found images, you must make it) and include it in your post so others can see. It doesn't have to be super good just big enough to see. If you have trouble showing how deep something is just write beside it if its deep or shallow. ^_^ Next you need to make a post reading someone else's print and writing it up in a parchment. You can also give the parchment to the person in the same post if you'd like. So I expect 2-3 posts. This will be the last activity before the lesson so you will have roughly 24 hours to finish. PM if you have questions. |
Laura looked at the Professor and smiled. "Well maybe rock climbing or maybe your going to go through some money trouble or hit a rocky patch?" Laura sighed, seriously this was hard, she wanted to stop now her brain was hurting her, she wasn't used to this much thinking. Laura listened to the Professor. "I'll give it my best attempt but I'm not very good at things using my hands or feet." Laura sighed, she wasn't sure she could do this and all she wanted to do was cry now, she wasn't good at divination's though it wasn't her fault. |
snake tracks Minerva looked at the snake tracks and tried to figure it out. "Well the snake looks like it was going slow and steady here, but as it keeps going it looks like it either was chasing something or maybe being chased." She followed the print a little while. "Yes, it is pushed down harder here like it was moving faster." Minerva tried to think of what that could mean. Well it depended on what the snake was actually doing really. If it was scared by something and running that could mean that Minerva could be afraid of something or maybe something was making her change. She had so many changes in her life, was there really going to be another one. If the snake was chasing after something else, then it could mean that she had found a goal that she was going to go after. That maybe there was a light at the end of a tunnel that was causing problems. Looking back towards Professor Elwood she decided to ask. "Professor, this snake print. It looks like the snake was just going steady and then either got scared or was chasing something. I have maybe figured out that it could mean two different things depending on which it could be. Is there anyway of figuring out which it could be?" |
Deer prints & Footprint Drawing! When the Professor had told Violet that the birds prints weren't those of a swan, Violet did frown a little bit. But her smile had quickly returned when the Professor was still pleased with her response of thinking that the bird may have been stressed or angry. Once again..YAY for class participation! She then heard the Professor continue on with the lesson and the next thing she wanted them to do was find a pair of tracks on their own and study them. Violet paused..seemed simple enough. But the problem was...she was going to have to walk in the squishy mud again. Violet winced at the thought but... SQUISH SQUISH SQUISH Oh it was even more agonizing than the last time! But thankfully it didn't take Violet very long to find a very interesting pair of tracks that she began immediately studying. They were rather odd looking, not ones that she was used to seeing. And she was studying them for a good couple of seconds until she was to make out..a deer maybe? And judging by the prints they seemed to a little all over the place, going this way then that way. Seems to her that there must have been a lot going on for that deer. Violet turned her attention towards the Professor raising her hand,"Professor, I do believe that these are the prints of a deer.. And judging by what the prints are showing, it seems that there must have been a bit of confusion going on with the poor deer..I think maybe it had gotten lost perhaps..or maybe it was just going to get a drink by the lake at the last minute...Or maybe..it thought it heard something and turned suddenly prepared to run.." Before she could hear what the Professor had to say about her findings, Professor was suddenly calling everyone back over towards her. Trying to ignore that horrible squishing beneath her once more. She began listening to the Professor go on with further instructions and heard her say the word, Human Ichnomancy, to which Violet quickly scribbled down on her parchment. She listened very intently to the Professor's instructions and then nodded when she had given them to okay to begin. But sadly..it meant stepping once more into this mud...Violet sighed and then lifted her foot up, and then placed it down softly at first..then she put a little bit of weight into it. She looked at her footprint and then picked up a twig signing her name next to it: Violet Le Veela SPOILER!!: Violet's Foot Print Violet then went on to look around for another person's foot print and see what she could study from it, once again trying to ignore this gross feeling. Oh how she wished she could just put her shoes back on already. But..she knew she would have to patient. |
cat tracks.. catching up first before 2nd activity Ethan was all sorts of distracted in this class. People were being distracting.. and he wasn't altogether crazy about this Ichnomancy form of Divination. He started to walk his barefoot feet away from the commotion to try to locate a set of animal prints in the wet sand when Elwood called them back over. Oh great.. another activity and he still hadn't finished the first one. He listed hastily to the instructions then briskly walked back over to where he thought he saw some animal tracks. Right.. these looked familiar.. like cat prints. He stared at them for a few moments, trying to make some sort of sense of them and what they might be interpreted as and jotted down a few notes to be turned in. SPOILER!!: Ethan's notes |
Post 1: Making Footprint (for Jory) Alyssa walked up to Professor Elwood when she called everyone back to her. She listened as Professor Elwood explained what they would be doing next. 'Cool!! We're going to make our own footprint...but wait we're supposed to read somebody else's?' Alyssa thought to herself. The first part sounded exciting, the second part she was more worried about. Would she be able to interprete the characteristics of the person's print correctly? 'I guess time will tell. First to make my print in the sand.' Alyssa grinned to herself. She walked away from the others until she found a spot that was free from tracks or anyone's footprints. Then she lifted up her right foot and stomped down as hard as she good. She then gently lifted her foot up so as not to mess up her footprint. SPOILER!!: Alyssa's footprint Then she picked up a pebble and wrote her name on the sand next to her footprint. Then she went looking for somebody else's print to study. |
Reading each others' footprints? Mo sort of wanted to examine his own footprints instead, especially after the interesting tips the professor had given him about those deer tracks. Still, he already knew loads about himself, so it was probably more challenging to go looking at someone else's footprint. He stalked the sand a bit, following behind first one person and then another to see who had the best footprint. Oh, oh! What if someone had six toes on one foot? That would be totally legit. Did it mean something? He'd have to ask the professor, but only if he was lucky enough to find someone like that. Mo paused at a clear patch of sand and carefully pressed his foot against the ground. Not so much that the sand around his print cracked and fell away too, but enough that he left a fairly good representation of his foot. "Crikey, it's the dreaded Branxton beast, come out of the mud to stalk its prey," Mo circled his print cautiously before deciding it was exactly what he wanted to leave for someone to examine. http://i46.tinypic.com/11c4l0l.jpg Now he just needed to go stalk his prey. Obviously. |
