After listening to some more spells being listed by the class and making sure the spell of his choice wasn't alreadylisted, Jory raised his hand again. "Descendo, Professor. One can make his opponent sink,'' he said. That sounded a bit...harsh. |
Quote:
No wait, no sigh. SELINA WAS AWESOME. She could totally do this. And even if she couldn't she would pretend that she could. Fake it until you make it. She had told Nearly Headless Nick that at the opening feast. And it was TOTALLY relevant at this moment. So coming up with something random, she rose her hand and answered, "Well, Professor... you could always use... um..." THINK SELINA THINK! "Tarantallegra. Make them dance and then that will keep them distracted so that you can attack more effectively." That worked. |
Ariana's hand shot up when she thought of one spell that had NOT been mentioned yet adn boy was she excited. thought she was really unsure why no one had mentioned it "Professor!" she said a bit excited "Rictusempra can be used, It is to tickle a person.. it's a great distraction ." she nodded her head it was a good one for the ickles to use too .. you know they couldnt hurt anyone so you know.. WRITE THAT DOWN ICKLES, cause it's useful! |
Peyton wished she could use the babbling charm on Seth. He needed to stay quiet and let Slytherin win. It didn't matter, they had this in the bag, oh yeah. Her hand zoomed up into the air once more. "There's the Fire-Making Spell; Incendio." You can toast your opponent just a taaaad. Unless they angered you a lot. Then toast them real good. ^.^ |
Jory raised his hand for the third time, once again after checking the board. "What about Furnunculus, Professor? It will cause the opponent to be covered in boils.'' |
And she thought of ANOTHER that no had mentioned.. she found it funny none of the ravenclaws mentioned it so she shot her hand up again " oh andd Avis Oppugno." she paused and waited to see if anyone knew what that was... really was she the smartest one in the class.. well she wasnt butt it sure seamed like it.. this was easy.. "Avis.. conjures canaries from your wand and the word Oppungo causes them to attack the offender person." yeah that made sense right? she looked around and slumped down a bit having the feeling she slaughtered that one |
Nerida almost giggled as she saw her |
"There's the Smokescreen Spell," Sierra said, shooting her hand into the air. Spells were being listed left and right now, and if she didn't hurry, she'd be limited on what she could say. This was a competition, too, so those sort of things mattered. With that, though, she'd said all she could say, which was three spells. Come on SNAKEEEEEEEES! |
And it was ariana's turn again when she once again thought of a SIMPLE dueling charm that no one else had mentioned. " professor, also the Bat-Bogey Hex, yeah? It Causes the opponent's bogeys to turn into large, black bats and fly out their nose." she nodded cause this was awesome.. she also did some eyeing to Cambridge over there.. yeah we see you and ariana was always prepared when alexa was in the room.. evil little child. |
Gosh hard to keep track of what has been mentioned. Just arrived back at hotel Alyssa blinked, as everyone started calling out spells. It was hard for her to remember what had already been mentioned and which hadn't, but she decided to give it a try. Raising her hand, she said,"Professor has anyone mentioned the Verdimillious Tria spell. I believed with tried a version of it on Mr. Murdoch, two terms ago." Had that already been mentioned? |

Alyssa smiled over at Jory. "Thanks. I'm trying to but everyone is talking faster than I can write." she answered him even as she tried to think of another spell that may possibly have not been mentioned. Scrunching up her face, Alyssa raised her hand. "Professor what about Silencio? If the person can't speak, he can't cast the spell unless he can do non-verbal spells. But let's suppose he can't. That would work right?' |
*click me for a bigger picture* OOC: If you notice you've repeated an answer, feel free to list another one! |
Jory had just noticed that someone has listed Furnuculus before him. "Shucks,'' he thought racking his brain for another one. He raised his hand. "The trip Jinx, Professor,'' he said. No need to explain, the name said it all. |
Alyssa smiled when she saw that Professor Romanos had written down the spells mentioned on the board. Now it was a lot easier for her to know which spell had not been mentioned. 'One more spell...one more spell...I just need to mention one more spell.' Alyssa thought to herself. Then she remembered the jinx that sends an opponent flying. Alyssa quickly raised her hand. "Professor what about Everte Statum. That has been used as an offensive spell in a duel before. The spell sends the target flying back." |
Nerida muttered drats under her breath. Alyssa just stole her answer!! Another spell!! She could say two more spells...Hmmm... "Professor could you use Sectumsempra?" |
Spells when dueling. Juliet looked at the board when the students suddenly uttered different kinds of spells at once. It was like a rampage of words coming from different directions. Plus, 10 points is such a huge amount. Juliet immediately raised her hand and uttered "Reducto, professor" yup, that hasn't been used yet. |
SO...Beezus had been listening as the discussion went on, jotting down notes every now and then. Her classmates had pretty much gave their opinions on the earlier questions so she kept her mouth shut and merely allowed her senses to observe. Until the lesson was dragged to spells. Dueling spells to be exact. And the house with the most number to list down will get ten points?! Oh, was it time now to show who's got the wits with these things? "Alarte Ascendare spell, Professor. It throws the target high into the air." So it had to be a dueling spell, yeah? Now, she needed her 'claws to back her up. |
Where did all the Claws go? Kendall was half-tempted to actually look around after she had offered her first suggestion, since it seemed like all the other Houses had jumped in, but only a few of her housemates had. Mo, a couple others she rememberd seeing in classes and the common room, and then finaly Beezus. But they still, as she glanced at the chalkboard, were behind. Which was not good. Behind meant losing,a nd they needed those ten points. She'd shot the prefect (and her friend) a smile as she'd raised her hand again, in any case. She wasn't giving up yet. "What about Incarcerous? I'd have a hard time continuing to duel if I was all tied up, at least," she said. It was only partly lying. She knew she'd probably dodge the ropes, but the thought still counted. Plus, it was an obvious spell, and so farmost everyone had been thinking about harder ones. |
What else? What else could she add. Juliet stared at the board once more as her brained scanned for more spells. Most of which that she wanted to say are already suggested, bummer how she couldn't have answered it as fast as everyone did. She should have. But then again, there are tons of spells that can be used when dueling. Juliet's hand shot up again as she thought of another one "Hurling hex is really helpful during a duel" she smiled. She has never tried that hex before though. |
Dustin thought for a moment. Everyone else was so....violent in their choices for spells. He raised his hand and offered, "I mean, I don't know what the incantation would be for it, but what if there was a spell that created a cloud of stinky gas? Because I'm pretty sure that would upset my nose and incapacitate me if that happened." He realized what the implications of that were, and quickly added, "I mean...it wouldn't affect me because I'm immune to smells but I'm sure OTHER people wouldn't like it." There. That would probably prevent anyone from using that on him. |
Come on, where were her 'Claws at? The Prefect looked around. What were they doing, staring absently on the board? They HAD to raise their hands and offer an answer. They knew this! There were LOTS from books. Oh, lookit. Kendall. She smiled back at her friend and gave her a look that CLEARLY meant they needed moooooooooooooooooore answers. ...DustB say what? Beezus blinked and extended an arm, grabbing her fellow Chaser's shoulder as she whispered a bit too loudly, "Spell. You NEED to state a spell. Like you know, with the actual incantations if it was possible? Hand up. "There's also Lacarnum Inflamari. Quite similar to Incendio, only it aims to produce flames on clothes. So, simply...it's putting your opponent on fire." |
Quote:
And....oh he needed an incantation? Well shoot, he didn't know. He was making suggestions more than actually knowing things. He stuck his hand back up in the air, higher this time, and got tongue tied. "Oh...uhh..ermm...okay well..umm okay I don't know the incantation for that OTHER spell but there's...UUUUMMMMMMM" He felt like he was falling...and really wished there was something to cushion his fall. WAIT. Cushioning charm. CREATIVITY POINTS. "OH! Madidus! That's the incantation for the Cushioning Charm. It's really useful because, if you've been sent flying through the air, you can use it to cushion your fall and protect number one: your bum. Wouldn't want that to get bruised. It would ruin sitting, which is among my favorite activities." Also added to the list of things to work on: rambling. |
Well, that was interesting. Cassia thought. The Snake raised her hand and spoke before someone else does, because those people speak a lot and know a lot! "There's Glacius. IT freezes the target...I think it's effective." Because her opinion is important just like the spell. And yeah it sounded like Glisseo but it's totes different. She said satisfied. See, she knew some stuff. |
Quote:
He was weird sometimes. Like he had a world of his own or something. Should she be worried? But then he was responding to what she'd told him and was now actually giving out an answer. Ooooh. The Cushioning Charm, huh? See, she knew he was smart. She nudged him again and this time winked at the younger 'claw. Show them who's boss, DustBin! "Hmm. Hex Deflection charm. Julaudico." Beezus nodded. "A very effective way to, of course, deflect hexes from your opponent." |
xD mention of Airey Oh, look. At least they seemed to have gained another Claw participating, as she'd returned Beezus' smile towards her. Kendall also smiled at the younger boy as he had at least tried to come up with a spell, even as Beezus had informed him that they needed to actually state a spell. At least he had tried, and then he'd come back with another spell. Not one that she would have really thought of in a dueling situation, but his idea was good. She didn't think Professor Romanos would entirely shoot it down, and it gave her another idea as well, and her hand came up a third time. "Depulso, professor. If Accio could be used, so could the opposite." She remembered that spell having been said already, even without looking at the chalkboard again. Only because she'd practically expected her cat to have shown up in class, which could have made things difficult for the still-prone Astronomy professor at the front of the class. Plus, she figured Banishing would be useful if her opponent had sent anything physically at her, with Oppugno or whatever. |
One more... one more... Juliet had thought of a lot of spells that can be used in dueling but when she thought of Glacius BOOM! Someone suggested it. She should be fast in suggesting these spells. She's running out of them. OHHHHH! Juliet did remember one spell at least. It can be helpful on certain occasions, it's worth a try. Her hand rose up to answer "Duro, professor" it's not a very common spell but yes, it can be used for dueling too.... right???? "it's also known as the hardening charm. It can turn any object into solid stone" Juliet added. |
Oh this game is fun! They were playing riiight! The snake enthusiastically raised her hand again and spoke. " Also Steleus...You know sneezing. I bet it's not something you'd appreciate when dueling. So.." Again her opinion mattered! So..Don't they get to try them out? |
Or....OR....OOOO OOH OH he was on a roll now. He hoped the professor didn't get too upset with how much he was raising his hand, but when Dustin got excited, it was hard for him to slow down. He shot his hand into the air again, even higher still than the last time. He felt a slight strain on his shoulder as he stretched his arm to its limit, but ignored it. "There's also the Arrow...er...hex? Thing? Spell. I'm not quite sure how it would classify, but it shoots arrows at your target. I think the spell is Surculus Telem or something. Arrows are all the rage right now, it seems, anyway. Also, it sounds like someone saying, 'Surculus, TELL 'EM' to me, but I think I got the spell right." His mind was racing he was both winning and losing. Take a minute to make sense of THAT. O_o |
They were still allowed to suggest more spells, right? "Uhm, how about the Stinging Hex? Punctum alica? It produces a stinging sensation in the victim. It'll give you the upper hand." You had to use the spells to your advantage, of course. No one had mentioned that one yet, no? |
Cassia blinked at the ravvie boy. Wasn't he a second year how come he knew more hexes than she did. She stared ahead trying to think of more hexes. It couldn't be that she only knew those two. Well, some she knew but people were faster. So.. Hmm..What else...She eyed the list the professor had and hoped she'd remember some other spells. Oh..oh..oh! She remembered one! "There is also Tickling Hex." That was said without her raising her hand. She got excited and was afraid to forget it or someone to say it first! "You say Titillando and it tickles the enemy." The enemy that is being duelled..you know. "I think it's a chance to get a laugh at the person and distract him or her or something. " You know she was getting more and more excited...She started scribbling them down. |
Hmm. Spells that could be used in duelling. Come on Cle you're a fifth year you have to know a splel that can be used in duelling. He mused for a few moments, thinking to himself. He wanted to think of a good one before he put his hand up. Oooh. He'd got one. Raising his hand he smiled before speaking. "aguamenti" Kind of simple really. He was surprised someone hadn't said that yet. " It's the water-making spell, makes water come out of your wand" so bam bam. Take water to the eyes you fools. Now he just had to come up with another spell. |
Dylan was insanely proud of all the Slytherins that were speaking up. It was a group effort and they were doing so well. Way to come together as a house and whatnot. VICTORY SCREECH. He was curious about one thing, though. "Do you think there's ever been rules that limit what types of spells can be used? Like if a duel was labeled as a certain kind..." Was he making sense... "Like...a water duel...or a FIRE duel...Then you'd only use water spells...or fire spells..." GLARES for you Ravvie!Odessa. |
Lana frowned as she looked at the board. She really had hesitated when it came to voicing answers as of late, but she felt maybe she should attempt to join in. Better late than never in her world. "What about the Jelly-Brain Jinx?" she asked. There had been mention of other Jelly curses and jinxes, they might as well be thorough with naming them all now. |
Spellwork wasn't exactly Spike's strong point. At least, not if the spells were outside the realm of Herbology, and even then he tried to do stuff manually wherever possible. However he did know a few good duelling spells, courtesy of Jimmy's duelling teaching wayyyy back in his second year. "Urticate," Spike said, raising his hand, and following the name with a silent 'bamBAM!' in his head. "The stinging hex." He was actually quite good at it too. |
Oooh. He had one. He had one. and it was related to snakes. He just needed to wait for someone else from his house to speak first. Oh Clement was on a roll. Well kind of it. It would be his second answer. Ahh. And there was the Captain going. Perfect. When he had finished Cle could answer. Shoving his hand up into the air, he grinned. "Serpensortia" Which did sound like a pretty awesome spell to be honest. Now he just needed to explain what it did. "It conjures a snake. Which is kind of cool, and will make for good duelling" If you weren't scared snakes of course. Which cle wasn't because well he was a snake in a sense. |
Thinking about it more, Lana slowing started to realize that some basic spells were still missing from the board. Sometimes simple was better and the less liking option, but that didn't mean that they really couldn't work for them. |
SPELLS. FOR DUELS. Kat raised her hand almost immediately. You know, Slytherins are always ready to Heh. |
Hmm. He needed one more. One more spell and he was done. He could do that. Cle racked his brain, trying to come up with a spell. He looked at the board, making sure that he wouldn't repeat one that had already been said. Ooh. He'd found one. With a grin on his face Cle raised his hand. "The atmospheric charm" Ooh. didn't that sound posh. Now for the explanation. "The charm is a weather modifying one, and modifies weather conditions. So like it could make it rain on your opponent" which wouldn't be very fun because the prson would be all wet and stuff. And then hopefully they would lose the fight. |
As other people answered, Spike looked back up to the board, scanning the spells already there. Ravenclaw had to be catching up now, surely? Beezus, Dustin and Lana had all given more answers in the last round. Getting the House Cup in his last year would be nice... Pushing his glasses back up his nose, Spike raised his hand again. His next spell wasn't going to end a duel particularly quickly, but it might help slow the opponents casting down. Unless they could down non-verbals, where it might just be a minor nuisance... Anyway. "Densaugeo, Professor," he said, sticking his front teeth over his bottom lip for fun. "It makes your teeth grow." |
HAH. Slytherin was gonna own this class. They knew things. Probably the Claws were having their jaw drop cos the list was full of spells under THEIR house. Another smirk on Kat's face, of course. Now... two more spells. SAVE SLYTHERIN. Hand up, yo. "Ebublio," Kat said and paused. Trying to be 'dramatic'. "Makes the victim inflate or bloat up and then explode into a bajillion water bubbles." SO COOL. "Oh, and it's only possible if the victim casts Aqua Eructo while you cast the spell on him." Now. One more. |
Laura looked at the Professor and smiled. "What about the Transmogrifian Torture spell?" Laura had heard of that spell before but she wasn't sure if she would want to be on the end of that spell it sounds dangerous. |
Scanning the board again, Lana raised her hand again. "Mobilicorpus would work in a duel," she voiced. It wouldn't win a duel per say, but it would give a person time. "One could lift their opponent off the ground and move them. It would allow them time and if done stealthy, it would catch the opponent by surprise." |
While waiting for more students to bombard Professor Romanos with more spells, Kat was kinda getting excited. Cos... really, not a lot said after her Ebublio suggestion. So... her turn. Yessir. She raised her hand up. One final time. Yep, the other Slytherins should keep talking cos she totally wanted that house cup. Badly. "Incarcifors," Kat said. "It can transfigure an item or object to some kinda of cage to imprison a creature or something that passes by." She was done. Her business was done. Slytherin all the way, HEY! |
Laura looked at the professor and smiled. "There is the Waddiwasi spell." Laura was sure she had heard of that spell. "Professor that apparently shot small objects through the air, I think one of the Professor did it to Peeves once." Laura giggled, she was sure that would have been funny to see. |
The Head Boy scratched his head. Merlin, this people in this class were fast! His brain still thinking what other spells that could work in duelling. Hmmmm... Did someone mentioned Serpensortia? AHA! "Well, if someone used Serpensortia we can use Vipera Evanesca to banish the snake." he said as he raised his hand. |
After some looooooong thinking and just staring at the blackboard when every student came up with spells, Daichi wanted to say something as well but when he finally got a spell that could be used in dueling, someone else already said it. It was fine when that person was a Slytherin but not from the other houses... The Prefect raised his arm when he remembered reading a spell for his OWL studies last term. "Everte Statum, Professor...it sends the opponent flying" he answered with his hand in the air. |
I don't think Min has ever been so lost... lol Minerva had zoned out for a few moments and the next thing she knew students were calling out spells. What was going on, they were going up on the board as well. Oh no what did she miss. Looking at the spells she realized they were dueling spells, but she wasn't sure exactly which ones had already been called out and which ones had not. Trying to get a grip on what was going on she listened to all the answers. Pulling out her parchment, Minerva began quickly writing notes so that she could get everything she was suppose to have down. She tried to think of spells that hadn't been called, but when she got one in her head she heard someone else say it. Frowning a bit, Minerva decided to just keep quiet |
Scratched head more, the Head Boy still thinking about the spells that you can use at the duel. He did know some of them, but it's already mentioned. Okay.. What else? Kept thinking, Gerald Rush! Keep thinking and.... Okay, let's try this one "As the counter spell, you can use Finite or Finite Incatatem." he mentioned again after he raised his hand. Gary was excited to see the Slytherin had mentioned some of them. Good Job! |
Nerida looked around more Ravenclaws were saying spells. Myabe they coukd catxh up quickly!! They had to have more Spike, Beezus, Dylan, and Kendall all had been saying various spells! There was her too! Sh said quite a few... Her hand shot in the air for a second time, "Professor, Deprimo could be used it forces your victum to the ground. I know if i was being forced to the ground i wouldnt be able to fight back a lot or probably wont be able to say another spell..." |
Sarah knew loads of spells, she just hoped that she was not going to repeat any spells hat others had said. She raised her hand, "how about the Toenail-growing hex, it makes a person's toe nails grow very fast which is very uncomfortable. Once the victim has that it will be hard to wear shoes and stand." Too long toe nails in shoes were really sore, it hurt. |

SPOILER!!: cake.ninjak and xXxPandora OOC: SS or HP canon spells only you guys. xD These would've been fine without their incantations, but if you can link me to those spells and their incantations on SS, I'll add them to the board if they haven't already been taken by someone else. Otherwise, feel free to name some other ones. Quote:
Quote:
*click me for a bigger picture* OOC: Remember, SS or HP canon spells (incantations) only and 3 spells (1 spell per post) per RPer. |
Sarah looked worriedly at the Sltherin side of the board... they were out of control as were the claws... and the puffs.. man where were the lions? She raised her hand, "there is the Melofors spell, when a person says Melofors there is an orange light and whammm there is a big pumpkin around the victims head. That will be hard to see past and very uncomfortable too!" said Sarah. She wondered if the pumpkin could be used to make pumkin soup later, yet how to get it off the victims head? |
Alex giggles as he sees how much spells his housemates have listed. Although, the giggle is very brief before he starts jotting down some spells those sound easy for him to try and after he finishes, he raises his hand, glancing his surrounding, looking tense. "I heard that there's a spell to read minds of other people..." he pauses, swallowing his own saliva. "D- Do they use it in duels as well, professor..?" |
Belle looked at the board and wanted to try and get the hufflepuff side some help. Belle thought of a spell. "Professor i would use Stupefy as a simple spell to use against an opponent." |
Daichi looked at the blackboard and read which spells had been named"There is a spell that causes the opponent to vomit slimey slugs, though i do not know what the incantation is, Professor" the Slytherin answered again after raising his hand in the air. |
So....cool spells were out of the question, basically? Ones with blood and gore and COOLNESS? How BORING. If they were REALLY dueling, they'd get to use them, so they should be taught. Aidan nodded to himself. Then thought of a tamer spell, "What about that one that makes things burn you? Could you hit their wand with that so it burns when they hold it?" Yeah? No? Yeah? |
Laura looked at the Professor and smiled. "There is the Oppugno spell." Laura was really sure that was a spell and she was hoping that the Professor would allow her to have this spell, she could use all three of the spells she had said which would be awesome. |
Elise beamed. This was a really cool lesson, seriously. Since the obvious spells had been mentioned already, Elise racked her brain a bit to find a spell that hadn't been mentioned. She doubted that Confundus would do anything, nope. Aidan's question... Elise knew that charm. It was the Flag-something. Ah, right. Turning towards the younger Ravenclaw, she smiled. "You mean Flagrante?" Because he could cast that on the opponent's wand and it'd have the effect he was looking for. Raising her hand for her own answer, Elise smiled. "How about the Tripping Jinx?" Because she could hold her opponent off that way or something. BEAM. |
She should have known that this was going to be a class where she was going to be more listening and taking notes than anything else. First the topic had started with dueling which had only been briefly touched upon by her grandfather figuring she'd learn soon enough once she was in Hogwarts. So she had stayed quiet. And then Professor Romanos asked the class about the spells one might be used in a duel and there was an explosion of various spells and incantations that went way over her head. Ellura just stood there wide-eyed in wonder. Her hand steadily gripping her quill as she tried to write down as much as she could from hearing...the task made easier when they appeared on the board for all to see. She could only hope that perhaps a fraction of the spells mentioned might be ones taught to them within the next 5 years of her education. |
Rachel stared all her classmates saying all the spells anyone could use in a duel and felt completely lost. She knew about most of them, but realized that if she was in a duel right now, she would not be able to do most of them. Still in shock, the girl raised her hand. - Hm... there's also Diffindo. - said the girl - It "cuts" objects and I think it could be really usefull in a duel... - it could... right? |
Class has ended! Thanks everyone! Quote:

*click me for a bigger picture* Speaking of the board, the number of spells posted had her glancing to her watch. Oh dear, the class was to end about a minute ago. Medea chuckled. "Alright everyone, it seems...we've gone a little over the time limit here." she tapped the glass on her watch before glancing to the class. "Time flies by when you're having fun. Well done Slytherins! Your effort has earned your house 10 points. Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs, and Ravenclaws...5 points to your houses for your excellent endeavor as well." "Class is over, but, keep these spells in mind, especially for next lesson. Feel free to stay behind and continue copying them down if you need to. You may go around to the other side of the chalkboard if you still need to copy down that information from before, but...if you don't have any questions... you may go. Have a nice day, everyone. Homework will be posted later on the noticeboard." And whoever had the bags of pixie crisps and phoenix crackers, please take them! Medea herself, well, she was waiting to see if Professor Drools A Lot was going to move. |
Ella was copying down spells like a crazy person, knowing these would come in handy at some time or another. She was the tiniest bit disappointed at how many the Slytherin students were calling out but really, they probably dueled more than Hufflepuffs, right? Seemed legit. The blonde blinked when Professor Romanos then announced that class had ended. SIGH. Already? At least she said they'd need the spells for next lesson...Ella smiled hopefully because maybe they'd get to try some of them out? That would be brilliant! Finishing up the last of her notes, the fifteen year old badger packed up her things and headed for the door. "Thanks for the lesson and the crisps, Professor. See you next time." BEAM. |
Alyssa was glad that even though their house hadn't been able to earn the maximum 10 points in the spell naming game, they still were able to earn 5 points. '5 is better than nothing.' Then she heard the words, class is over which made her sad. But she knew that there would be other DADA classes in the term, so she had that to look forward to. Packing up her journal and textbook into her backpack, she slung it over her shoulder, stood up and made her way to Professor Romanos. "Thanks again for another interesting lesson. I'm definitely looking forward to your next one." she told her DADA Professor with a smile, before listening to whisper discreetly in her ear. "Uh Professor, is our Astronomy Professor alright? He seems to be trying to get your attention, lying on the floor like that. Maybe he has a crush on you." Alyssa whispered with a grin. |
The theoretical side of dueling... Interesting. The silver haired man was observing, as was his task, and part of that highly developed skillset was to make sure one doesnt attract attention to oneself lest the subject matter be... distracted and start behaving differently from how they usually do. The benefit perhaps of one of his pallor was that he could almost blend into the walls. As he moved quietly around his gaze would shift from student to student, to the Professor conducting the discussion, to the one still on the floor... everything-- and finally rests his eyes on the board. That is some list they were amassing, and had started to wonder... Ah but now class has ended. He pushed himself off the wall and neared the brunette "Professor Romanos? I'm Corin Vanderbilt..." he said finally being able to introduce himself as the students ebbed out of the room. "Interesting class discussion you have here...." he said as he looked around, and once again found himself looking at the suited man on the floor. "Was there any particular reason why he's there?" he asked curiously |
What?! -_- Seth, was NOT happy with the results. It was clear and fair who the winners were, therefore making him angry that the Lions didn't step up their game. Furrowing his eyebrows he left the classroom as angry as you can possibly imagine. His competitive side was showing, but he could really care less right now. No wonder his father wasn't pleased young Aguirre was sorted in the Lion's Cage. 5 points? Nope he wanted all 10! He left, with the disappointment. Now off to his cave being the library, in order to cool off. He must NOT be disturbed, at the moment. |

No, no. She wasn't wondering about any crushes. Quote:
"Not that I know of, no. You'll haff to ask him." She smiled guiltily, glancing down to Airey. Shrugging up her shoulders a little, Medea knelt down to the astronomy professor, wand in hand, glancing up to Corin momentarily. "I do hope I didn't bore you too much during the lesson." Theoreticals weren't all that exciting, but they had to be done every once in awhile. And, with a not so subtle manner, Medea poked Airey's side with her wand. Just a little- Zap! |
Quote:
Face still very much in the floor, Airey was about to enter a deeper sleep when he felt something poke his side and then -------- o_________________________________________O "Blazing comets! What was that for?!" Airey man!squealed as he rolled onto his nonzapped side and looked up at Medea with kicked cruppy look. Couldn't she take a joke!? She was the one who had trapped him on his desk because of her feline monsters! "Ouchie..." |
Darn vacations... :) SPOILER!!: Everything! Quote:
Eliza was glad the Ravenclaws had done so well, but she did wish they had won. Maybe next time. She packed her things and got a little closer to the board so that she could be sure to copy all of the spells down for studying later. "Thank you for the lesson Professor Romanos! The race for points was fun!" She smiled and filed out of the room with the other students, and gave one last look back at the Astronomy Professor on the floor. Strange, she thought once more. |
Yeahhh Slytherin were the BEST. Too bad she was nice enough to give the other houses points for being lame, even if it was funny that Ravenclaw got the same points as Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. Sometimes coasting through apparently WAS a good option. ... .and West DID have questions of course, but he waited while Romanos.... whatevered with the Astro professor. Oh and: "Sir you have crumbs on you." On his SUIT. Look, some were sort of STICKING even. Helpful!West. |
SPOILER!!: Professor Romanos Dylan beamed as it was announced they'd won the points. YES! FIST PUMPING! Slytherins had banded together and whatnot. It was a rather proud moment for the Snake Captain... ...and then class was being dismissed. Packing up his stuff, he made sure he had the spells list copied...When everything was in order, he slipped that, too, into his bag. Spying another adult joining them in the room, the Slytherin rolled his eyes. Ugh...Creeps. The lot of them. What did they care what they were learning and not learning? As far as Dylan was concerned, Professor Romanoes was one of the best at the school. Snort. "Have a nice day, Professor." With a last look, he was out the door. |
Alex continues to write down more spells as the students empty the class, but when he realises that only a few of them left, he starts to panic. He jolts when he hears Professor Sleepy's shriek. What did Professor Romanos do to him? O___o The Snake recklessly shoves everything on his desk into his bag before he heads for the door, tripping over the desks and chairs a few times. "Goo- Goodbye, Professor Romanos, Professor... Sleepy-" says he and quickly leaves the classroom. |
10 points for Slytherin. Awesome! Even he didn't help... much, but he was glad that Slytherin had the spirit to gain more points and points and it affected to himself. Such a very awesome teamwork, wasn't it? Then he realized that class was already over. Honestly the Head Boy hoped that today they also practiced the duel instead of the basic theory. Well, practice makes perfect, right? But maybe they would get the practical thing at the next lesson. Made sure that he did remember all of the spells that had been written on the board, Gary packed his stuffs and walked out to the class. "Thanks for today, Professor. Looking forward for the next lesson." He said. Still wondered how could Flamsteed trapped in this class. Meh, weird man. |
Slytherin got the ten points. Oh well, at least they were given five points for consolation. Yes, she was satisfied with that now even though she had so badly wanted for their house to excel. Just as Louisa had said, no point in crying over spilled milk. And the former Head Girl was right. While most of her classmates exited, Beezus stayed a while and hastily copied down the list of spells on the board. She'd have to visit the library later and research about the ones she wasn't familiar with. Scribble. Scribble. Scribble. As she did this, she heard their visitor talking with the woman Professor. She was almost finished when the lying Astronomy Professor let out what seemed like a squeal. O_o Looking up from her notebook, she stared at the adults curiously. "Er, Professors...is everything okay? ...Can I be of any help?" They seemed to have something going on. *mellow* |

...haha. Aspen pulled her hood up from her cloak, but the smile on her face for that so called "Captain" just couldn't be concealed. Next class, she was going to slay him. And, dumb as he was, he (and everyone else in this class) had provided her with a list of exactly what spells she could expect in dueling. She sure didn't offer any spells she knew. Aspen DID stay after class to copy down the list though. Good info to know. Very educational class. |
Text Cut: sweetpinkpixie Hearing the Astronomy professor's loud outburst, Sierra turned away from packing up her things and looked to see what was going on. She smirked in amusement. She wished she would have turned in time to see the whole thing, but the grand finale was pretty cool. She shook her head at the way the professor had rolled over on his side. So he wasn't dead after all, was he? Seeing as she was standing nearby, she extended a hand toward the man. "You want some help up, Professor?" she asked. They could do it by hand, or if he was looking for a thrill, she could cast a spell to yank him up by his feet. Either way was good. For now, though, she just extended her hand. |
little Beezus too Quote:
"I do? There are?! WHERE?!" he asked while somewhat flailing around a bit to try and reach into his breast pocket. EVIL CRUMBS! Quote:
Even if there was a slight grimace on his face. "No no, I'm alright. But thank you both," he said with a nod as he rolled a bit more and then got up on his own two feet - sort of. He wobbled a bit due to the lower back pain, but nothing too serious. More importantly though...were the crumbs gone? He shot another glance towards Medea and rubbed his side. "I can't believe you zapped me." |
Minerva tried to keep up, but she just couldn't. Where was her brain today. She had never not participated in class and now it was over. This was just not right. Looking confused she got up and collected her things. "Professor, thanks for the lesson. I'm sorry I.. well didn't participate as much." She really had no explanation as to why she didn't. She just couldn't keep up, that was so unlike her. |
Well class ended. Yay? But Slytherin earned 10 pointed for DEFFO being awesome and knowing so much duel spells. HAH, beat that Claws. You ain't the only ones who know stuff. This term was definitely THE term for her house. That meant not the Puffs, or the Claws, or the Lions, but the SNAKES. Their term, oh yeah. They were so gonna make Lafay proud and as well as that Bloody Baron who didn't seem pleased with the results of last term. Mwahaha. Oh right, time to actually LEAVE now. Kat fixed her things and placed them all in her bag. She copied the spells on the board at first. Never know when they might come in handy especially if someone threatens her into a duel or maybe just to protected a friends. Whatever. Shethen went to say goodbye to the Professors. "Thanks for the lesson, Professor Romanos," she said and gave the woman a smile. And then... Uhm, the one who was planking earlier. "Hope you have a great day, Professor Flamsteed." And stop planking, seriously. Kat slung her bag on her shoulder before finally turning her heel to leave the classroom. 10 points, FTW. |
So it was true. The Professor hadn't simply been pulling their legs when she said it would be a theory class instead of a practical one. Well then... She stared at the Professor for a while after she had dismissed them. The girl didn't know what to make of it all. She usually left this class twitching a bit from the activities but now...she was just...fine...it was so weird. Lex copied the spells from the board before getting her things together. "Have a good day Professors." Then she left...still not knowing what to make of it. |
Sarah really had wanted to say the boogers hex, yet she had ran out of time. She liked that. Perhaps the things needed for a duel would be tissues. A big box, preferably double ply... o perhaps a handkerchief. She got up, stretched luxiourously and picked up her satchel. She now knew exactly which spells to use! "Thanks for the lesson professor!" she said. She overheard Airey's comment and smirked, she would believe it even more if it would be Bellaire or Lafay, yet still it was funny. Perhaps it would have been more funny if the DADA would have given Airey a kick, that is what Sarah would do to prove one was alive. |

"There's probably spells for that, y'know?" Spells to stop crumbs. West was so helpful. "Or you could keep a mouse in your pocket and train it to eat any crumbs on you like a little mouse vacuum." A trained mouse would be cuter. And what was this about zapping? West brightened. "OH CAN you show me how to zap people TOO?" Looks between the two professors. YESSS. |

She was not expecting such an amusing reaction... Or was she? "You are alive!" Medea grinned impishly, despite her innocent tone. Although, she couldn't deny Airey was very good at the sad cruppy look. Almost made her feel guilty for the little zap. Almost. "Thought you vere a goner for a moment." Quote:

"Oh, it didn't hurt that badly." Medea muttered, waving off Airey's little comment. She should know. How many times had she accidentally zapped herself when she was younger? And even nowadays. Then again... She was used to it now. Quote:
