Gemma added names to her list of nominees for MC's and then smiled at the girl..."Yes yes yes, I think coloring the water would be great...we can charm in though so it doesn't dye their skin a weird color...and I think that would be a great idea to do a pavillion..." she said excitedly. She glanced around, "I still need plans for refreshments and the agenda..." she said glancing at the days until the debate less than a week (3 Days OOC). |
Amelia got up and walked over to Alice and Tiff's table. "You guys need any help wit the er refreshments - and Alice if you need help with Agenda stuff I can help..." she offered with a smile. She still had to make it up to her with the whole Potions incident but she just wanted to be friendly. Because if this never got done then they'd never get to go to Hogsmeade and see the debates...and more than that no silly Jelly slugs! SHE needed like a hundred pounds of them to appease her friend's apology meter. See. She neeeeeeeded this to be done. |
Jake nodded slowly, looking over Anya's notes. "Welcome, Introductions, Q and A..." He pursed his lips, looking up at his other committee members. "Break for refreshments, then thank you and dunking." Since that all seemed agreed upon, Jake nodded to himself and finished up Anya's notes with the agenda. Was that all they did? Did they need any specifics or... could they hand in the plan Oh. And he was nominated for MC. That'd be fun... "Professor," he said, raising a hand, "What if there were two? I mean, that's how a lot of muggle talk shows are - two hosts." Just an idea. Maybe it'd be too much to handle since there was only a short time... Either way. "I nominate Ali. Alice. Captain Fischer." Cough. Yeah. That girl right over there. |
Alice was extremely cognizant of the fact that people were saying her name. What? "I think two having two hosts is a good idea, Professor," she commented nonchalantly, shrugging her shoulders as she spoke. "I'd be okay with doing it if needed, as well, but I nominate Jake. He knows LOADS of big words." Yeah, the boy was like a dictionary, something that she didn't fully understand but wouldn't question anyway. "He's really good with talking and stuff. So, yeah. Jake. Cobbie. Prefect Keller." That guy over there, mhm. Text Cut: Tiffany "My taste is the best taste," Alice stated, beaming at the girl. This one liked cookies? AND tea? AND candy? Yes, they would get along nicely. "Mhm. Candy. Jelly slugs are the best candy." They were her favourite, and they were the most scrumptious things ever. Old people would like them, too, right? SPOILER!!: The girl with the best taste :P Jelly slugs are definitely one of the best candy but not quite the best. Actually it was just the fact that it was extremely hard for Tiffany to choose among all the wonderful candies. It was like choosing from her bunch of best friends. Very hard, after all. "Okayyyy, so I guess we shall be working on tea, cookies and jelly slugs then!"she gave Alice a big grin in return and held her hand in the air, ready to receive a hyper high-five from her. Four things shall be enough. And it seemed like they had got a helper. "Haiii, I'm Tiffany. You are very welcome to help us if you want,"she greeted happily, addressing the girl standing in front of them. After having agreed on those things, she turned back to Alice and asked by looking into her eyes. "So I guess we should tell the professor about this, shall we?" She raised her eyebrows. It was actually not that hard to reach a consensus with Alice though because they seemed to have the common taste and she was sure that they were going to get along pretty well. Or...brilliantly. |
She glanced at the committee's agenda..." that would work great! I'll put together a script for the MCs from your list." She smiled at everyone and tallied up the votes, "It looks like Jake, Amelia, and Alice have it. I'll put together a script for ya'll to follow for the event." she said with a smile. OOC: Okey dokey I'm combining all of your ideas into our thread descriptions. The actual thread will open tomorrow and our debate will start on Friday. We chose three mcs so that no matter what time zone we can keep the event rolling. Thanks everyone, feel free to keep rping in here! |
Minerva listened as the MC's were announced, well those seemed like good choices. No one really knew her other then Mess in the room so she didn't expect to get any nominations and that was alright. Staying behind the desk was just as fun. Standing up she walked over to the professor. "Professor, I've been working on questions. I have a few right here for you." Handing over the parchment she smiled, "If these don't work then let me know I can think of some more if needed." SPOILER!!: questions She knew that last one was more for her old professor, but ever since seeing those two together that questions popped into her head. |
