Zonko's Joke Shop Long before the Weasley's opened their shop in Diagon Alley, Zonko's was the premier joke shop in Great Britain. Stop in to pick up all your prankster supplies, but be sure to tell the professors at Hogwarts you bought them ELSEWHERE. |
For LEX/Dani ;) Seri was now waiting. She and Lex had SO much to do and talk about and stuff. They hadn't really managed to get a hold of eachother since the telling off in Lafay's office, a day ago or so, and they'd arranged to meet here. Seri gently browsed the shelves, insepcting something here, picking an object up over there. The shop was amusing. She hadn't visited Hogsmeade before, and found it was perfectly lovely. They had some similar stuff to WWW, only Seri knew she would need to pick up a load of stuff here since she would NO WAY be going back to WWW anytime in the near OR FAR future. NU-UH. She did, however, find what she was looking for. Fireworks. Bingo. |
Quote:
Her eyes scanned the shop briefly. There was no sign of Seri. Pout. Maybe she was browsing the shelves or something. She wasted no time in heading down the aisles and it wasn't long before she ran into just the girl she was looking for. "There you are!" GRIN. "Have you spotted what we'll need as yet?" Yup. They were on a mission. A top secret one that was going to eventually be very epic--and quite a show for all who witnessed it! |
Quote:
And finally she heard the tinkle of a bell, and she finally saw a familiar face! "LEX!" she couldn't keep the excitement from her voice. This was gonna be awesome. Epic. They would talk about this for years. YEAH. "I think I have, EXTRA LARGE do you think?" Seri grinned back. She knew the answer. If they were gonna do this, it had to be BIG. There was no question. She then held a finger to her lips, "Don't speak too loudly, we don't know who's listening..." Seri raised her eyebrows in a knowing way. They could not afford someone finding out about their great plans. This one or the next. Or the one after that. But whispering was good. "But I think we're safe ere." It was cool. Plus, for now they seemed to be by themselves, which was always good conditions for secret discussions. |
Quote:
EXTRA LARGE?! "Ummm...well...you see...I kinda want there to be a castle left over after we've had our fun. Plus your common room's in the dungeon mine's all the way up in the tower...if it's too big I might have to bunk with snakes--though sharing a common room with you doesn't sound so bad!" It really didn't, in fact it already had her thinking of another scheme they would have to plan and pull off. Bunking with snakes...now wouldn't that be interesting. She lowered her voice at Seri's say so but couldn't help the giggle that escaped her lips. This felt so cool; like the were spies or something gathering supplies to go out on a mission--wasn't that what they were doing though? After scanning the area briefly she agreed. "Yeah, we should be pretty safe. I think we're the only one's here at the moment." This provided the perfect atmosphere for planning and re-planning; there was always need for a plan B. Especially in a magic school where anything could go wrong at any second and completely throw them off guard. "I think we should grab some other stuff too." You know...for the Professors... |
Quote:
When Lex started giggling- Seri bit her own lip, and attempted to stay composed, but from her eyes you could tell she was giggling inside. She let out a small chuckle. This would be their first large-scale operation. It was perfect. It would all go to plan. The teachers would be fuming. Grab some other stuff too? Seri looked down at the basket that she was also carrying, it had a small few products in it that she felt were 100% neccesary; fainting fancies and nosebleed nougats, and some puking pastilles. Perfect for when she needed to skive a lesson. But she knew more was needed. She whispered back to Lex, "And some stuff for the older kids.. Except for Kennedy, he's nice. He's nearly the only older kid I like. Actually I like Gwen. And Cassia and Bliss. But they're all. The majority are horrible and deserve punishment." Serenity declared. We need something for the older years. |
Quote:
For now they would start small, setting off fireworks in the Great Hall wasn't all that bad and if everyone stood clear then no one would get hurt and everyone would have a good show. Heh, maybe some of the Professors would even come down to watch the show...see just how creative First years could be. Lex followed Seri's stare and saw that she had already picked up a few other things. Her face lit up when she saw the puking pastilles. "I was especially thinking about this one too. We could probably sneak down to the kitchen one night and bake them into some cookies then hand them out to a few Professors." She paused and gave her a knowing look, hoping she would pick up on the fact that she was referring to Prof. Scabior, he deserved anything he got. "Mm-hmm, older kids too for sure!" She paused and listened to her list the few exceptions to that rule of older kids who deserved it. "Hmmm....but then you also have to consider Vivi, Vickers, Emm and a couple Gryffies that are really nice." Yup. Those were exceptions too, but everyone else was fair game. |
Text Cut: You twos Emerald was quietly working on shelving new supplies when she heard movement from the shop area. Did she have customers already? Twirling a brown strand of hair around a finger she tried to remember if she had turned the shop sign to 'open' in the window. She couldn't remember oh well best to check who was there looking for pranks. Pulling away her brown locks into a loose knot as she walked the shopkeeper soon spotted her customers; two girls. Plastering on a cherry smile Emerald greeted them. "Hello girls, found anything you like?" |
Louisa/Laila <3 Theodore walked very slowly to the joke shop, cos he was trying to balance his froggie on his head. It was his last time with the fella, before he handed him over to Blue. There wouldn't be any tears, until he got back to the dorms maybe. But that's what a good bestie did, ya see! He wasn't sure if frogs were allowed in Zonko's, so he quickly hid Mr.Froggie in his pocket and hoped for the best. He WAS a loud froggie, but... it'd be fine. Yep. Back to the purchasing and stuff... something new caught something new in the corner of his eye. A Nose-Biting Teacup. Wow. |
<3 Quote:
Seeing that the shop was almost vacant, the Head Girl tiptoed inside as soundlessly as possible. She crept through the aisles looking at the products briefly, she knew what she was looking for and she wasn't going to waste her time browsing. Her reputation was on the line here-- SHE YELPED! Merlin there was a boy in here. Louisa clutched her chest dramatically and leaned on the shelf, breathing. "Merlin you scared me!" She breathed out, heart attack passing by safely. Hopefully this one didn't know her, coz she didn't have her... badge on. He didn't, right? D: |
Quote:
"AH!" Theo stumbled backwards as someone came and yelped right in his face. He'd SCARED her? That's funny cos he was standing there as silent as a mouse, whereas she was screaming at him. Who was scared? HE WAS SCARED, NOT HER. "I didn't do anything!" Silly giiiiiirl. She'd just received a Theo-glare. Meanwhile, Theo still needed to test this cup out, and the girl who he had 'scared' seemed like a perfect guinea-pig. "Do you want a cup of tea?" He thrust the cup in her face. "It has invisible tea inside, obviously." Uh-huh. Seemed LEGIT. |
Quote:
WHAT IN HADES was wrong with this boy. The girl screwed up her face and caught his hand so that he didn't ruin her This boy was getting a free tutoring session... Louisa looked around and spotted something made her smile, "Want me to show you something cooler than those cupcakes?" She grinned down at him. |
Quote:
She turned to the woman that had walked up to them. A smiler too. This was good because it meant she most likely didn't mind condoning children pulling pranks during the school year. Lex was already liking this woman so she gave her a smile in return. "Ah yes....do you know where we could find some fireworks--or rockets--big enough to make a real show in some place like say...the Great Hall of Hogwarts without it causing too much damage?" and getting them expelled. |
SPOILER!!: you guys A woman came up and Seri realised she needed to be more careful. Clearly the shop assistant didn't mind - well she couldn't she wanted to sell them things! She looked around again. More people had come in, but there weren't any in the same aisle. Still though, they didn't want anyone else knowing, or watching or spying on them. She nodded to what Lex said. "We need something big, but not something that'll get up into too much trouble." Seri added. She figured they'd pick up the conversation later, and said to the shop assistant, who surely was not listening to their earlier talking, "Discussing future... victims."Seri smiled mischeviously. Ohh yes, more targets, and she liked the idea of cookies for the teachers a la Puking Pastilles... |
Quote:
RIBBIT. "Huh? I don't have anything in my pocket." Theo tucked the froggie a little further down in his jacket pocket. And even if it was a chocolate frog, he wouldn't give it to a strange girl. RIBBIT. Theo coughed. In fact, he began coughing WHENEVER the thing made a sound. Which was a lot. "It's a teacup, not a cupcake." He pointed out, then looked curiously at the cup. Was it... edible or something? Theodore was very confused, so he took a bite of the cup. And... SNAP. "Owch! OW, IT BIT ME." She TRICKED him into doing that!? He threw the cup on the floor, and it shattered. Oh well, he wasn't paying for THAT. Don't cry, Theo. Don't cry. Theodore was about to protest, but whatever she was offering caught his attention. "Like what?" An old person who was into pranking? Theo liked her already. RIBBIT. |
Quote:
Alexa snickered when she heard her friend mentioning more targets. "That's the idea. The castles full of students She looked around the shelves for a bit more. "Hmm...what else might we need Seri?" Lex contemplated as she began browsing the things once more. All of this stuff looked sooooo tempting but she also had to think of the candy she wanted. Couldn't spend it all here. |
Quote:
"Agreed. If possible keep the nice ones out of it." Seri nodded and shrugged. There was no-one she was good enough friends with to be paticularly bothered yet, but she wouldn't give anything to Kennedy, since he wa Head Boy and therefore her protection. She needed someone to look after her. "I think I'm done, inless there's anything else you an think of...?" Seri raised her eyebrows, she was always up for any more of Lex's ideas. She held up the Hiccup sweets and Canary creams, "I grabbed these for the cookies..." Seri smiled maliciously. |
Text Cut: Theo <33 Oh, yeah. A teacup. Details details. Louisa suppressed a grin when the boy actually followed her advice and tried to bite the thing only to-- THROW IT! She gasped, her hand going for her mouth and her eyes staring at the shattered unpaid for teacup. Whao! "Merlin! What did you do?" She didn't look at the boy, though. It wasn't his fault entirely, she should've warned him. But the look on his face when he got pinched! Har har har. Priceless. But now to fix the mess. She took her wand out and waved it at the pieces, "There. It lost its joke purpose but at least I can show it to the shopkeeper and pay for it." Louisa took the teacup and motioned for the boy to follow her. "I used to come here every weekend to restack my storage of joke products." She told him as they headed for the shelf that had RIBBIT. O___________o Louisa blinked, her grin faded completely as she frowned down a the boy's MOVING pocket. "What's in there?" Probably something that wouldn't jump on her NOW while she held the box of fake creepy insects. |
Quote:
"Uh-huh, that's how we'll have to do it but I know for sure that there are some people who will most definitely not be spared!" Nope and begging wouldn't help their case either. "Like that Ariana girl--and that girl that tried making me lose 50 points" Yeahhhhh...she hadn't forgotten about her. There were others too. Merlin, they would need to make a list! "We should keep a record that way we can prank as we go along." Then cross the people off the list one by one. Brilliant! "Hmmm...." Lex thought for awhile. Was there anything else that they would need...? Her eyes caught something on a low shelf. "I think this could be useful." She said, grabbing a box of instant dark powder. Oh yeah, she could see them having a lot of fun with this one. |
SPOILER!!: Theodore & Louisa Emerald had started the day off feeling well less than enthusiastic about another day managing her shop but as the customers started to drop into the shop buying plenty of the shop wares her mood rocketed the other way. Re-tying her loose brown curls behind her ears with the help of a ribbon she heard the shop door bell chime once more. O______O More customers! Wiping her hands off on her skirt she listened for the voices of what she guessed were a boy and a girl in some sort of discussion or rather conversation about from what she heard about the best prank items. Moving towards the sound of their voices Emerald greeted them with a cheery quip. "Welcome to Zonkos. Found anything you like?" Following the girls glance Emerald wondered why the girl was eyeing the boy’s robe pocket that was MOVING. STARE! SPOILER!!: Seri & ALexa Oh to be young and just filled with dreams about pranking a friend or an unsuspecting passerby. Filled with nostalgia of her own pranking days Emerald listened as the girls blubbered out what they were looking for cutting each other off more times than she could manage to follow their words. Sheesh young girls talked too much. Had she herself been like that too in her youth? Shrugging she eyed the two girls. "I actually have some fireworks that might be what you’re looking for if you want jaw dropping effect but little area damage?" Going over to the nearest shelf she pulled out a large box of 'Grandma Fitzleggings fireworks for pranking beginners.' With a small huff she placed the box in front of the girls. "Make sure you read the instructions carefully, you wouldn’t want to accidentally set a rocket off in your dorm dears." She warned with a smirk. "Is there anything else you are looking for?" It looked like one girl already had her arms full of a little bit of everything it seemed. Emerald didn’t envy whomever the girls decided to unleash their new stock of prank supplies on. |
SPOILER!!: Louisaaaa<33 "UMM..." He decided to turn into an attitudey-robot for the girl, because she was obviously missing the obvious POINT. "That cup just BIT me on the nose... what do you expect me to do?" Duh...... he flinched slightly when she got her wand out. Oh, hark at the old kids, always wanting to show of their awesome skills. Well, Theo would be awesome one day, TOO. But in reality, she was only fixing up his mess. He smiled as the pieces readjusted themselves. "Wait, what spell did you just use?" He needed to know this information for future breakings of stuff. Like when he broke hearts as a grown up. :eyebrows: Huh? Was she offering to pay for the teacup? But he broke it... ... ....... Okay. "What's your name?" He asked, realizing that this prankster of a girl was cool enough for his friendship. Theo liked having older girls as friends. He eyed all of the stuff on the shelves. There was some GOOD stuff. The punching telescopes were his personal favourite. "Nice." He said, responding to the Creepy Crawlies box. They made his signature prank look kinda lame. "I usually just put a fake poo into people's shoes." As a punishment, that is. You bother Theo, you receive a poo. "None of your beez-wax." Theo snapped, covering up his pocket even more. The ribbiting got louder, as he realized that he was blocking off Mr. Froggy's air supply. OHNOES. SPOILER!!: ShopkeepapersonXD THE SHOPKEEPER. HIIIIIIIIIDE... But she hadn't seemed to notice the whole teacup commotion. Thank Merlin. Theodore gave the older girl a suspicious look, and quietly kicked the newly-mended teacup aside. Nothin' to see here. "Yes, I like the boxing telescopes. Do you think they'd be allowed at school to fend off Ravenclaws?" This was a serious question, by the way. "Also, do you have any fake poos?" Because Theo needed to restock his supply. And a poop from the wizarding world would be marvellous! RIBBIT!BOUNCE. "MR FROGGY!" Theo yelled after the tiny creature leaped from his pocket as he was momentarily distracted. It clambered around Louisa's feet and looked like it was making a hard decision about whether to jump on her foot or leg it out of the door. |
you know who you arrrrreeeee Lalalalalalaaaaa. The little girl pushed open the door, pulling her bag up higher on her shoulder, humming under her breath. Zonko's. The joke shop. She wasn't even sure why she was in here. She wasn't much of a prankster. Mika was the prankster of Ravenclaw. Not her. Nope. She didn't even want to go along with Theo's fake-poo-in-the-shoe bit. But, while she was in here, might as well look around, right? Punching telescope? Coooool. In an evil way. |
Text Cut: THEO & shopkeeper :3 It bit him, yeah of course it did! Louisa snorted and threw one arm around the boy's shoulder in a manly huddle. "Listen boy, this is what those teacups do. They're biting teacups." So he should suck it up before Louisa took off the imaginary cool kid tag off his shoulder. Oh and lookit! He wanted to know the spell. "Something you'll learn in Charms one day." She was not going to risk telling an obvious prankster an incantation like that. If he wanted to learn, they could arrange a proper learning session. Louisa dug those. Oh and a name! Gosh this boy was probably a Gryffindor... or a Slytherin, with the nerves of him! "I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours." She replied in this mysterious dramatic tone. HEHEHE, messing with younger kids was truly amusing. Fake poo! She laughed and pulled her arm away from his shoulders, the huddle was over. "That's a good one. Can I use your idea?" She had... a couple of kids to punish when she got back to her duties. He didn't have to know that though. Snapping at a question usually means that someone hit a sensitive nerve. WHOOPS. She was about to throw a witty comment when the shopkeeper approached them. Playing it cool, Louisa waved the :whaa: Louisa SQUEAKED and started jumping on her spot, "What's this?!!!!" Prancing away from the woman and the boy, her eyes squinting down at the brown thing... Mister froggie? INTERNAL GROAN. "CATCH IT!" She dove toward the jumping candy, one arm flailing and trying to catch it while the other held her joke products. |
SPOILER!!: shopkeeper & lex "I think Lex and I now have just about everything we need, and of corse we'll take the fireworks.." Seri grinned. She had a decent lot too, and she was sure they could always re-visit or use mail order service if needed, but she and Lex were so good they didn't really need equipment. It did help though. "Exactly, Seri nodded. "Ariana is definately a target, AND the kids who tried to get fifty housepoints off you, Rora Quinn, she doesn't like me, she need retribution, and West and Theo of course, getting much too big for their boots. Not sure I likeour Quidditch Captain either. Seems to like West. No good for him. Cassia doesn't need to be on the list. Or Tay, Gwen, or Bliss, and especially Kennedy, its always good to be under the protection of the Head Boy." Seri winked. |
SPOILER!!: Shopkeeper and Seri ^_^ Alexa stared over at the box of fireworks that the nice shopkeeper had brought over for them. See? She really was one of those exceptions to the rule of adults! How many adults would hand two 11 year olds a box of fireworks and hint that they should have fun? Lex smiled up at the woman. "These will be perfect!!!" She confirmed, her smile getting wider and a bit more mischievous. The Great Hall was going to really light up and everyone was going to enjoy the show. "Ummm..." She tried thinking for a moment whether or not they would need anything else but then Seri answered. No? Okay. They would be back here anyway so there was no need to buy out the store this time around. "Yeah, I guess this is everything then. How much will it all cost?" Seri and her would split the bill, it wouldn't be that expensive and besides, one could never put a price on fun! "Wow that's a lot of people!" Just how many people had been mean to Seri anyway? This wouldn't do. Nope. The fact that Seri had named so many people told her that that many people were being super mean and this meant she would definitely have to get them back! "Oooo you know the Head boy? That's so cool! Yeah, we'll have to stay on his good side for sure!" But then she sighed as she remembered someone else to tread carefully around. "We can't prank Kurumi either...she'd never let me get any sleep afterwards and she'd probably make Scary-Bat Girl kill me." |
