The Irie Room (Charms Lesson 1) This is a special room that the professor designed just for you lovely students. It can either be a beautiful and relaxing get away or your worst nightmare, it all depends on the circumstances behind you being in the room. Generally upon entering the room you're greeted by a cool sea breeze and at your first step in you'll realize that you're no longer standing on cold stone but warm sand. Coconut trees are scattered here and there about the Please do not enter the room without permission from Professor Bellaire. |
Rooose <3 Finally she was going to get back at Medea Ramanos for that little stunt she pulled last term at Sophia's last Charms class. The woman had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike and here it was. She was almost bouncing with excitement when she sent the owl to Medea. Now to wait. Hehe |
Honestly... She was thinking of ignoring the owl. Despite her thoughts that everything was fine between the two of them, she still had the nervous twisted feeling in the pit of her stomach that everything wasn't. It could only grow as she made her way to the third floor, letter in hand. Perhaps it was just something Sophia needed help with, in which she'd happily do so. Nevertheless, she paused in the doorway, taking in the rather beautiful room while knocking gently on the frame. Medea was heerreee. "You vonted to see me?" |
Oooh look who was finally here. "Medea! Take your shoes off..come in come in." She was grinning like a Cheshire cat and wiggling her toes in the warm sand. Mhm it was a beautiful day..for now in the Irie room. "Care for a drink?" |
Her hesitation grew maximum as she stared at Sophia. She was invited up here for a drink? That didn't seem horribly wrong. Taking a deep breath, she looked down to the warm sand, quietly clearing her throat. "Sure, of course." she nodded, slipping off her shoes. Placing them to the side, she slowly walked into the room. Merlin, it was indeed real sand. Not that she was expecting it to be super miniature snapping crabs or anything. |
Oh good everything was going rather smoothly, not that she expected it not to but still. How could Medea think for one second that Sophia wouldn't get her back for that little stunt? "Oh Unicorn Dung! I forgot the glasses. Just wait right here while I go get them!" She moved across the sand quickly and slammed the door shut behind her. And yes the door was shut.,..sealed. Alohomora would not work. Welcome to the Irie Room Ramanos. |
Oh? Taking a step to the side and turning a one-eighty, following Sophia's every movement, Medea stared blankly at the door as it was slammed shut. "Alright?" Biting her lip, she frowned, glancing around the room. Seriously, there were no crabs in here right? The cool breeze was a bit relaxing. Placing her hands on her hips, she went back to staring at the door. |
After slamming the door shut, Sophia put her ears to the door to listen if Medea was trying to come out or not. Seemed she wasn't. Honestly the woman was a bit naive. It all worked out in her favour though, she could test the room and get her revenge on Medea all in one go. Well here it went... She tapped the door three times with her wand and waited.. Mean while in the room.. There was a faint rapping sound coming from the other side of the door. Immediately following the tapping was a very heavy down pour of rain. The thatch roof huts would do very little in the way of shelter. Following the rain was very winds that knocked the chairs about the room. If there was anyone or anything still standing it wouldn't be for long. On the plus side, though the coconut trees were almost touching its roots with it's branches they didn't seem to be breaking. |
Stare. Downpour. Wind. Chair. Another chair. Stare some more. Narrowing her eyes as her hair whipped around her, Medea huffed and sighed. She should've known. Her narrowed eyes turned into squinting as she looked around, having to balance herself in more than one occasion. "SOPHIA!" Gosh darnit! Moving backwards towards the door, since she didn't have much choice in which way she could face at the moment, she took out her wand, throwing up a few shields to protect herself from any flying objects and the rain. The wind on the other hand... Her hand grabbed the doorknob. Of COURSE it was locked. |
Oh now there was knocking. Pfft. She'd let the woman stay in there a bit longer, until it all soaked in. She giggled quietly to herself but made no attempts to open the door. Instead the charms professor conjured up a chair just outside the door and relaxed, crossing her legs while she was at it. Yep the room worked like a charm. Giggle. |
Wiggling the doorknob, as if that'd help open it, she scoffed and let it go, focusing on strengthening her shields and working out a way to fix this. Back flat against the door, she took a deep breath and dropped the shields, quickly pointing her wand at the doorknob. "Alohamora!" Wiggle wiggle... Nothing! Throwing up her shields again and hastily wiping away a piece of wet hair sticking to her equally wet face, she held her arm up in front of her eyes to keep the wind from blowing out from her head. Merlin, never cross the Charms Professor. "SOPHIA! I GET IT! I'M SORRY!" Though the woman could've had a better sense of humor. |
Oooh magic words!! Ding Ding. She had a heart, she really did. Most people just never took the time to get to know her well enough for her to show it. And here she was on the verge of being nice and no one was around to witness it. Oh well. She tapped the door again with her wand and waited for the roar of the wind and rain to die down before opening the door. Sophia poked her head in after it all calmed. "Oh my Medea..what happened in here?" She tried her darn hardest to look shocked and concerned. "You'd think a hurricane passed through here!" |
It came as a surprise and a relief when the wind and rain started to die down. In fact, for a moment, she hadn't registered that it was, but being able to take a step forward and not forced back against the door was indicator enough. Taking deep breaths, she turned and stared at Sophia as she opened the door, acting all innocent like she was. Innocent. Innocent. Right. Medea, on the other hand, didn't answer the Charms Professor. She stood there, soaking wet, sand in places she'd rather it not be, a stretched look of disbelief on her face, and feeling utterly...cold. "I'm going to haff to take a rain-check on that drink, Sophia." Rain-check. Rain...check. Humor! Medea had it! |
Oh the look of the woman in front of her would have been enough to make anyone feel sorry for her...anyone who had not been tricked into running for their lives from a non existent forest monster!! She felt better now though, so much better now that she got her revenge. In fact, the charms professor couldn't help but roar with laughter at Medea's rain check comment. Now that..that right there was funny..not imaginary monsters in the middle of her class. She gave the woman a good natured slap on the arm a la her laughing episode. "Now that..was kind of funny. Sure you don't want that drink?" It wasn't laced with veritaserum honest. O_O |
Inching out of the room, just incase Sophia decided to shove her back in, which Medea would have no problem bursting down the door if that were the case, she laughed shakily along with the woman, only faltering after that slap on the arm. Oh, okay. "No, I erm..." She glanced down the hall. "I should really be getting back my lesson planning. Thank you...though. Next time for sure." Inch. Inch. Down the hall. |
Class starts here After that test run with Medea, the Irie room is back to how it was before, sandy floor brilliant blue skies via a charmed ceiling and of course the whole tropical beach looking setting is back. Remember to leave your shoes at the door. Professor Bellaire is currently relaxing in a beach chair waiting for your arrival..take a seat or stand, it's up to for now. |
Bag over her shoulder, everything tucked in where it should be, and hair tied back in a tight pony tail, Kurumi entered the Irie Room - a room that the Gryffindor hadn't even been aware was around until the Charms notice had gone up for today's lesson. Slipping her shoes off first, Kurumi left them by the door and then her socks - rolling these up into a ball and tucking them inside her shoes afterwards. She wasn't about to walk around on sand with her socks on...it was beyond uncomfortable. Several things were new for Kurumi, besides the room itself, but namely this was the FIRST time she had both felt and smelled a sea breeze and...she wanted to go to the real thing. Not just a room that had been charmed to look like a beach. "Good day, professor," Kurumi said after a few moments of simply gawking at everything. |
Charms. It wasn't a subject he really wanted to take to NEWT level, however he needed to at least make the effort to feel a bit more confident in the subject. And so he was here. Spike perked up considerably when he saw the contents of the new room he'd never heard of before. There was a beach...and sand...and a blue sky! He quickly pulled off his school shoes, and roughly poked his black socks in the top before stepping into the sand. He wiggled his toes, and grinned as he headed for a beach chair. "You could have told me I needed a bucket and spade, Professor!" he said with a smile. |
Laura took off her shoes at the door and smiled at the Professor as she got into the room. "Good day Professor." Laura smiled. "How are you?" Laura then decided to say something that had been bothing her. "Professor if you had told me we would be having the lesson on a tropical island." Laura sighed, because it looked like one. "I would have brought a bikini with me, I could do with a nice tan." Laura giggled, before going and sitting down on a chair. |
Minerva wasn't sure as she walked toward the room. Was she in the correct place? She walked into the room and was hit by a sea breeze that made her smile. She thought of the times her family went to the beach. As she made her way in Minerva slipped off her shoes and stepped on the floo.. no wait sand, yes it seemed like sand. Which again Minerva smiled, where they having a vacation or going to class either was okay with Minerva. Looking around she saw Kurumi and smiled waving at the prefect then turned her focus to the professor Minerva smiled, "Hello Professor, this room is lovely." she couldn't help, but feel her self smile bigger. Moving out of the way of the door Minerva made her way into the room still looking around and taking in the smell. |
Now charms was a subject that Ira liked. A bit less than Arithmancy, but still, sh liked. So, smiling, she skipped towards the Charms classroom, her bag on her shoulders. Oh wait! The lesson was gonna be held in the Irie Room, whatever that was. Ira hadn't heard any mention of such a room. But one look at the room refreshed hr. Wow! This was beautiful! Leaving her shoes at the door, she walked in following Minerva, and greeted the charms Professor who was looking charming herself by the way,, "Good day professor Bellaire! This looks beautiful! Really!" before smiling at Laura, who she had heard mention of bikinis and tan. Yeah, that would have been great! No lesson, just fun! |

"Good day Ms.Hollingberry." Quote:
"You'll find that you'll have no need for such things Mr.Hutchinson." Quote:
See that, she was certainly not joking either. Quote:

Was it just her..or did the students just not seem so horrible this term. |
Shoes off. That was the first thing Messer did when he was about to enter the Charms classroom. Instead the usual classroom atmosphere, he was greeted by a beach, sand, and beautiful blue sky. WOW! So this how the Irie Room look like. "Hello, Professor Bellaire. How are you today?" |
Nigel walks in and immediately notices the sand. Since Nigel did not want sand in his shoes. He takes them off, puts them in his bag, and walks over to the professor. "Hello, Professor Bellaire. Are we having a beach party because that would be awesome!" It would be so much fun if they would have a party on this beach thing today. |
Oh. OH! OH THIS WAS AMAZING! Lottie suddenly smiled, AND WIDELY, at the sight of this. She was rather wary of this summer scenery since she had no idea what they'll be doing. BUT...OH MERLIN! "GOOD DAY PROFESSOR!" she said, rather loudly, before taking her shoes off The first year almost bounced her way into the classroom, by the way. Excitement. Uncertainty. Heh. |
