Nodding he knew where he was going with that "Yeah I guess I can understand, going from heavy te light is disconcertin'. Light te heavy's bad though, especially in the early summer here." Ick, early summer made him want to strip those robes off! "Yes were ye've spent the last 6 terms at Durmstrang." he said sticking out his tongue at his grin.

Snorting he smirked "Three huh? Well thet's pretty good." he'd not gotten his first kiss from Amelia til...school had begun? Two months! Well he had given her a small peck on the cheek that first day but still he'd not actually kissed her til after school had begun! "I'm happy fer the te of ye." he said grinning. He really was, "Definitely one way te get te know the school." he added with another smirk.

"It is, it really is." But the weather here wasn't anything like what he was used to, it was still quite warm here! He wondered what winter would be like. "True." Ed grinned at his best friend and eyed the Spring once more. "Stupid place to put it, really."

Isaac's smirk had Ed shaking his head amusedly. "Yes, three. Two were within the space of five minutes." HA. Yes, he was proud of that! "Thanks. I knew it was going to happen, just didn't know when." Wait, what? Ed stared curiously at Isaac, wondering what he meant. He was getting to know Nell, not the school.

"I dread winter te be honest. I still after bein' born in Scotland and 'ere fer the last 2 winters, I still hafen' gotten used te it." Wrinkling his nose, he didn't think he'd ever get used to the cold! "Though I don' think I'd move away unless I had te." Nope, he wanted to be here, in England, or Britain really. He'd been thinking on something for awhile, with Amelia, they'd known each other for 2 years now! But she'd probably think he was nuts. He didn't have a job yet, he was hoping to get into the YETI program hopefully soon after he graduated from Hogwarts. But even that was a maybe, it depended on his NEWTs!

Laughing as he eyed the spring, Isaac shrugged "Well 'tis the firs' year they've had it 'ere. Each year is somethin' different."

Smirking some more he wiggled his eyebrows up and down a little. "Well then I'd say she definitely has somethin' fer ye." Yep, definitely. Fantastic, that his best friend had someone that he cared about as much as Isaac cared for Amelia! Catching the look Isaac got from Ed, he laughed "Well she has been 'ere a few terms." Ok, five others "So she's a good tour guide, I'm sure."

Just as Emmanuelle was about to lay back and maybe even dose off a little, she heard a voice. Was that person speaking to her? She looked towards the direction the voice was coming from just to make sure. Yep. "Go right ahead. Think this spring was meant to be used by everyone anyway," she told the younger girl, smiling. She hadn't seen a sign that said 'This spring is only meant to be used by certain people'. Nope.

"So, how has your first day back been?" Aside from crazy train rides, even crazier board members, and the elves, that is. But she left that part out, figuring that it was unneeded.

Hot Spring. Yes. That was just her THING.

She'd been wanting to check it out for the past few days but what with classes and arguing with people and daydreaming about home, she just didn't have the time. But now, she made her way down to the spring, a huge smile on her face. Heh. She was in a really good mood. Surprising, wasn't it?

And, the smile faded almost immediately when she noticed how crowded the place was. Seriously? There were people everywhere. She wanted to get away from the crowded common room but this place was equally crowded. Siiigh. But, she might as well make some acquatainces, right?

She spotted a couple of older boys hanging out near the spring and immediately made her way over to them, ignoring the fact that they seemed in the middle of a conversation. "Hello boys. I'm sure you don't mind a gorgeous sixteen year old joining you?" Heh. 'Course, they didn't.

Wait, wasn't Scotland the coldest part of England?! Edmund stared at his best friend like he was crazy. "Seriously? You would NEVER last at Durmstrang." When it got cold there, it got cold. "When you have to move, you adjust, but it's not nice." Yes, the voice of experience was ringing out.

"Doesn't make it any less of a stupid place to put it." Especially when there were idiots like him around. "So they change what's around every year?" Didn't that take AGES?

"I'm not sure, she only really hinted at it." He snorted amusedly and ran his hand through his still wet hair. Isaac earned an elbow in the ribs at his laugh, but he was grinning as he did it. "So far, I've been a lone explorer."

He was just about to mention the Mini-Golf course to Isaac when he heard another voice. Raising his eyes to the figure in front of them, Ed shrugged. "I don't mind." Did he just call herself gorgeous? Well he'd certainly never come across a female with enough gall to call herself that. "I'm Edmund."

He didn't mind? Heh. Of course. Who would NOT like the company of Abby Hastings? She gave the boy a charming smile before she shifted her gaze towards the water. Maybe she could go swimming later.. now, THAT would be fun.

Edmund? "That's a lovely name but I'm going to call you Almond." Why? Because she liked giving people funny nicknames. "I'm Abby Hastings. Are you a Hufflepuff too?" Just curious.

Snorting he shrugged "No I probably wouldn'." Nope, he'd heard that where Durmstrang was was incredibly cold. Wrinkling his nose he shook his head "Yeah I kind of don' like the cold all thet much." LIKE AT ALL. "But it wouldn' keep me from wanting te live here in Britain. I still would rather live here, then anywhere else."

Snorting he nodded "Yeah, it kinda is an odd place fer it to be. Yep last year they had a mermaid pond and a topiary garden and the term befer thet there wasa treehouse." Yep changed each term!

Laughing even more after the elbow in the ribs, he shrugged "Well ye can' say ye wouldn' mind a tour from her." he said wiggling his eyebrows as he leaned back on his hands. Nope, if he'd had the chance he'd love to have Amelia give him a 'personal' tour of Hogwarts. Even though he'd been there as long as she had.

Looking up as a girl spoke and coming over to them. Wow, she was a little forward! And had no problem saying she was a gorgeous 16 year old either. Raising his eyebrows just slightly "Nah, I don' mind either. I'm Isaac." he added before she asked why he wasn't telling her his name. Smirking as she gave Ed the nickname of Almond, he controlled the snort that threatened to escape.

Sutton returned the girl's seemingly warm smile before sitting down and gazing out across the hot spring. Her first day back? Well... she wasn't sure if this had been a normal first day at Hogwarts or not. With a shrug, she responded, "Oh, well... this is actually my first time at Hogwarts ever. I was homeschooled. Soo... I mean, I haven't died or been hurt which apparently happen sometimes here from what other students say, so I guess it hasn't been too bad..." Trailing off, she looked back out to the spring. "Is that true... that students have DIED here before?"

That was certainly not okay with Sutton. Nope, nope, nope.

"I'd love to see what you'd do in the cold. Like, Durmstrang cold." Would he cry? Edmund would laugh so hard if he did. "It's is a nice country. I love the views here." Edmund agreed without hestitation. The amount of conversations he'd had with Nell about the beauty of the country was too high to count anymore.

"You think there'd be a sign. 'Water present. Quickly learn how to swim or do a U turn'." Mhmm. That'd be better. "...Seriously?!" That was AWESOME. "I wonder what it'd be like to come back to the same place and find different stuff." Surely it'd be strange, right? Because he was trying to look unimpressed at Isaac's tone, Ed had to suppress his smirk. "Of course I could. Doesn't mean I will."

The girl's smile made Edmund smile too. Friendly gesture and all. "Oh, uh, pull up a patch of grass." He offered after Isaac inroduced himself. Waaaait, whaaaat? Almond?! Edmund threw Isaac a look of 'is she for real?!' which quickly turned to a scorching stare. This girl had seriously just called him Almond and Isaac was smirking! "I prefer Edmund, but... Almond... works too." He was too polite for his own good. "Nice to meet you, Abby." Could he give her an equally stange name? Crabby? Blabby? Smirking at his own thoughts, he answered her wih a nod. "I am. Why?" He smiled up at Crabby Abby.

Abby turned to the other boy who introduced himself as Isaac. Riight. Now.. what nickname should she give him?.. Oh! She smirked and said, "I'm going to call you Issy. It's short and sweet." Heh. See? The girl was such an expert at giving weird nicknames to people. It's a pity she couldn't make a career out of it.. or she could. Maybe.. Who knew?

Almond. Abby looked extremely pleased with that nickname especially when she noticed Issy smirking. She raised an eyebrow when he said that he prefered Edmund. "I'm sure you do but I'm not giving you a choice. So.. Almond, it is." She smirked again before her gaze shifted back toward the water. "It's nice to meet good looking guys like you too." It was always nice to meet good looking guys. Heh. And, yeah. She could be nice when she wanted to. "Just curious, that's all." Abby shrugged before looking at Issy. "What house are you in?"

"Why, ye think I'll cry or somethin'?" he asked lifting his eyebrows. "I can handle the cold, jus' don' like it." he said shrugging. He didn't like the cold, but he dealt with it when he had to. "I think the worst was when me dad wanted te spend two months in Antartica near the south pole. I don' think I left the tent even once." But then neither had his mum. UGH, that was one trip he never cared to take again!

Snorting he shook his head "If ye need te learn how te swim in a pool that's not even waist deep, ye've got issues." he said sticking out his tongue. Well, it was only waist deep, and the water had been kind of nice. Just next time he'd make sure to have his swim trunks on him as well. Smirking again he lifted his eyebrows "Mebbe ye should ask fer a personal tour then."

OH HECK NO! "Me name isn't Isabelle." he said his eyes widening. "No Issy." NOPE oh heck no, he'd not EVER respond to that name. EVER! "My grandmother always called me Isa." he said shrugging. Isaac was kind of hard to find a nickname for. He did smirk again though when Ed gave him a scorching stare. "Hey 'tis better then Issy. At least it 'could' be a boys name."

"Could do. Though I'm not gonna lie, I would laugh so hard if you did." Oh yes, Edmund really was that amused. "Oh, ouch. Two months?" That was a long time to be in the snow, especially if you didn't like it. He'd spent that long in the snow before, but he'd made the most of it and enjoyed several snow fights.

"It's waist deep for us, but what if some really short little firstie came along, hmm?" Yes, Isaac. Take that! "I should?" Hm, how would Nell react to him asking for a personal tour of Hogwarts.

BAHAAAAA. ISSY. Now it was Edmund's turn to smirk and suppress a snort. He could imagine Isaac as a little girl, running around with pigtails. It was soooo hard not to laugh. He sobered up immediately when CrAbby told him she intended to call him that anyway. He wasn't sure he liked being called a nut. It could be taken as a clever way to call him insane.

Wait, did she seriously just nickname him after a nut, Isaac after a girl and then call them good looking?! "Uh, thanks..?" He wasn't sure he'd agree on the good looking part, but she was entitled to her opinion. "Fair enough." He tilted his head at Isaac, grinning.

Oh, he didn't like the name.. Great. "C'mon. Don't be such a spoilsport. It's a pretty name for a pretty boy." That should get him to agree. Compliments always worked wonders with people, right? At least, she LOVED compliments. "Isa? Hm. I like that name too but don't you think Issy is better? It's got a nice ring to it." Sorry, Issy. You just have to deal with the fact that she was going to call him Issy from now on.

"It's a compliment." Abby said, rolling her eyes at Almond. "And, you should be happy with your name." Anyway. She turned to around to look at them both, feeling slightly curious.

"Have you guys been friends for a long time?" Leave it up to her to ask random questions. Heh.

The hot spring seemed like a good place to be right now. It looked relaxing, which Penelope felt like she needed. Not that she was extremely stressed or anything - though maybe a little - but she couldn't remember ever being in one before, so why not start now?

She didn't get in immediately though. There was at least a little bit of caution in her since it was a HOT spring after all, so instead of just jumping straight in, she took off her shoes and socks then sat on the edge and stuck her feet in.

Ahhhh... That was nice. Hot. But nice.

Maybe she'd just leave her feet in for awhile instead of getting all the way in... She laid back on the grass and stretched her arms out before putting them behind her head, her feet still in the hot water.

Yeah, this was quite relaxing...

Okay! Okay he was awake now, he really was. The excitement of being here was getting to him again. Where could he go next? What could he do next? There was so much around here to explore, he could go to that Mini Golf place though he'd never played it before but there was always a time and a place to give it a try.

It was then that Bliss grabbed his hand and started to drag him towards the Hot Spring. He grinned before she dropped it. It confused him and he frowned a little in response. "What's the Hot Spring for?" he asked. Other than for relaxation and stuff, there wasn't a lot of uses for it. It sent him to sleep, he guessed that was a pretty good use, especially for a twelve year old boy. He walked to the edge of it and looked back at Bliss.

"Is your wrist feeling better now?" the Blonde boy asked her, the concerned expression on his face replacing the grin that had been there previously. She was so reluctant to visit the nurse that he worried that it wouldn't heal properly and she'd be in pain for the rest of the year. Did her parents know about it?

Bliss was confused. And she didn't know why and she hated it. Was this what Blue had meant by teenagerism. She didn't like it! Nu-uh. She wanted to go back in time and be very little again. But then...she'd miss her friends...she'd miss Terry. SIGHHHH. She looked at Terry, he was grinning and look very happy and non-sleepy now and that made Bliss..blissful. Oh yesh. She was hilarious.

After Bliss dropped Terry's hand his face fell and she could only wonder why. Frowning a little herself, she tired to shake it off and answer Terry's question. "Wellllll, it's for general relaxing, you can sort of sit in it and mini-swin. But I don't," she exclaimed and sighed remembering her first year. Whenever she ran away or got upset she'd come here. Always. "I normally just sit at the side and dip my toes and feet in. Though I've never been here WITH someone before." She admitted, biting her lip. It had always been HER place, yet she was..relieved that Terry was here, she didn't mind one bit. She grinned at Terry and walked to join him at the edge of the spring.

She'd completely forgotten about her wrist actually. "Urmmm, I got it healed," she assured him and pondered over telling him the rest. She thought she might as well be honest. "It still hurts sometimes," she said, grimacing and looking down at her feet. Tears welling in her eyes. Wait, what? There was no need to cry, Bliss. But it was happening and she couldn't stop it after the first tear rolled down her cheek.

So theoretically the hot springs acted as a sort of sauna type thing in the middle of the Hogwarts grounds. It was a place for students to wind down after a long days work, for people to relax, old and young alike. It sounded good but Terry was up for a bit of excitement or if he really needed sleep, a long spell in his bed would do the trick.

"We'll do that then" he replied as he sat down on the edge and took his shoes off, wrinkling his nose to make sure his feet didn't smell. He was glad to discover that they didn't and so he placed his feet into the warm water, looking up at Bliss and pulling her down so she was sat beside him. "Though I'd be quite up for a swim" he chuckled. Or at least a paddle, up to his knees would be good, he didn't have swimming trunks with him after all. The warm water was really quite nice, there was a slight chill in the air, you could tell that they were getting closer to winter and the water warmed up his bones as he sat looking out across the springs. "I wander if there's any creatures in there" he wandered out loud. He doubted it though, the water was probably too hot for them to withstand.

He watched her expression as she spoke about her wrist, smiling when she informed him that it had been healed. "Good. I didn't want you to suffer" he nodded. It didn't take her long to change though, she had gone from a reassuring smile to a wibble. As an instant reaction he wrapped an arm across her shoulder as he spotted a single tear falling down her cheek. "Maybe I should take you to the Healer" he suggested, hoping that she would agree so that he wouldn't have to watch her be in pain. He had only got a headache when the trained stopped suddenly but loads of people managed to get serious injuries, he wouldn't of been surprised if the Healers was so full that there wouldn't be any more room for anyone else.

Snorting he shook his head "I kind of figured ye would. Thet's why I wouldn'." Yep, there was no way in heck he was going to go and cry because of the cold." Nodding he made a face "Thet's right, 61 long days. Even mum was begging te go home after thet. And she usually is pretty easy going on these trips, he'd take us on."

Laughing he nodded "I guess yer right. If yer short, this would be like normal swimming area." Smirking he lifted his eyebrows "Of course, she might be more then happy te show ye some of the secret passages." hehe yep, nice and 'secret.'

Shooting daggers at Ed he pushed him in the shoulder at his smirk. "If ye think I'm gonna answer te Issy ye haf another thing coming." Uhh, yeah, he wouldn't be answering to that name, not in a million years. NOT EVEN IF AMELIA TRIED IT! Gazing around, she hoped to Merlin she wasn't anywhere near hearing that name!

O________________________O Be happy with the name? Looking over at Ed, he made a face like 'seriously?' "Erm, since July, when Ed here dumped my drink on me."

"Okay then," Bliss said gladly and took off her shoes as well. She placed the little pair of flats to the side of her and then Terry promptly pulled her down so that she was sat beside him. She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and gave him a quick grin before lowering her feet into the lovely water. "You would?" She asked and grinned. So would she but she didn't know if Terry had brought swimming wear to Hogwarts and she didn't have her with her, it was all back in her dormitory. So all they be able to do was..sort of...paddle. "Maybe we should go for an actual swim one day," she suggested lightly. Bliss followed Terry's eyes and looked around the spring..it was beautiful. "I don't know, maybe there's magical creatures in there." She said thoughtfully and side. She thought about fairies, she believed there would be some near right now.

Bliss sighed, really not wanting to worry Terry, she was sure that she would be fine. Hopefully. And as the first tear fell and Terry wrapped an arm around her shoulders, more followed and she lean into Terry warmth. "I-I'm sor-ry," she mumbled into his shoulder, "I don't know w-what's gotten into me." This was the truth. She had absolutely no idea. Bliss lifted her head from Terry's shoulder, where it had been leaning and looked at him. She was grateful for Terry's offer and knew it would only to right to accept it, which she did by giving a quick nod before leaning on his shoulder again.

Terry wiggled his toes within the water, sending a ripple outwards across the water. It slowed down and eventually came to a stop a short distance away. He picked up a pebble and skimmed it across the water. It bounced a couple of times before plopping into the water, causing a small disturbance within the water. Hmm? Was that something concealed in the water or just a few loose stones.

"Yeah" he replied to her question about wanting to go swimming. He looked down at his shorts that extended just below his knees. He stood up dragging his feet out the water and adjusted his shorts by rolling them up beyond his knees. That way he would be able to get to his knees paddling and not get his clothes wet. He didn't want to drip water across the school. "Maybe. But I think we should go for a paddle now." The Blonde boy stepped into the Spring and waded out until he was up to his ankles. He stepped back out after standing in there for a few minutes, deciding that he was warm enough now. "I'll ask my mum to owl me some swimming shorts" he nodded. He enjoyed swimming often. "I hope there is. And I hope that we can find them one day" he contemplated. How amazing would it be if he could discover a new species? How rich would that make his family. He doubted it would be possible though.

Terry frowned, not an angry frown but a worried type as Bliss continued to cry, one tear falling followed by another and another. He never liked it when people cried, especially girls, it made him feel a little useless as he wasn't particularly brilliant at comforting. "Its okay, you don't need to apologise" he spoke softly, wrapping the other arm around her comfortingly. Now what was he supposed to do? "You're hurt. Its okay to cry" Even he cried sometimes, when things were really bad. She lifted her head from his shoulder and he tried to smile at her in a comforting manner as she agreed to go visit the healer.

"You sure?" Oh yeah, his smirk was ever present at the thought of Isaac crying because he was cold. "You didn't even think of going out and having a snowfight once? Not even making a snow angel?" Okay, he sounded like a little kid, but HEY, it was snow! "I can understand not liking it if you're not used to it though." He'd not liked it the first year.

"Are you making a comment about my height, you giant?" Ed smirked playfully at Isaac. He wasn't short, he was average height! Isaac was just... really tall. "I'm sure she would." Was it just him, or was Isaac hinting at something else? HMM?

BAAAHAAA. Pretty boy. That's what Isaac would from here-on-in be known and referred to as. Half grinning, half smirking at the shoulder push, Ed's eyes went up to the sky, pretending like nothing happened. "I agree." He looked at Crabby seriously and nodded. Was it obvious he was trying not to snigger? He had no idea. A glance at pretty boy had his self control crumbling. A laugh escaped him once again.

"It was an accident. I offered to replace it!"

Bliss watched as Terry moved his feet around in the water, creating ripples and patterns that soon dispersed in the water. Then she joined in with the skimming and got FOUR bounces across the water. Then she noticed a little moment in the water, that surely couldn't have been just a stone. She frowned and tilted her head in curiously. She shook the thoughts free and turned to Terry, twisting slightly to change her angling, she kicked some water up at him. GIGGLE.

"Oh cool," Bliss said and grinned. Today, she was wearing a pair of shorts, as she hated skirts and now she was extra glad. She also didn't need to roll them up. "Yes, we should," she agreed and with that, she slowly made her way into the water and waited until Terry had waited until joined her and once again flicked a little bit of water in his direction. "It's nice and warm," she commented, loving the feel of the water warming her very core. She closed her eyes and grinned. "Okay," she said, mentally reminding herself that she'd have to find her stuff as well. Bliss thought about this, finding a creature with Terry would be so cool, especially a new creature..they could name it and everything! GIGGLE. Maybe if they came here often they would eventually find something.

Bliss was feeling a million emotions at once and a lot of memories where coming back to her. She was sad, worried, scared, happy and everything else possible at the same time. She was remembering her cat dying, her father becoming ill, her older sister telling her that she hated her and it was horrible. Why was this all coming back to her now. She knew the answer to that. It was because Terry had gotten to her, he'd knocked down all the walls she built, keeping people out and keeping bad things inside. And now this was the result. But at least her best friend was comforting her. Bliss wrapped her arms around Terry and cried, trying to get everything out as quickly as possible. She didn't like being weak. Bliss looked up at Terry carefully, "It's not that, Terry. It's complicated," she whispered. She didn't mind if he asked more, but she felt that if she spoke again soon, more tears might come and they were just beginning to slow down.

WHAT. HAPPENED??

Ameliah frowned a little as she explored the newly "improved" grounds. As she trudged through, she barely took notice of the springs as she walked by the water. She was too sad for beauty.

No more Duckies. And no more Playground. They took Welshie away!! What kinda sick person did that?? Sure, the fruit orchard was pretty. But not as pretty as Quackles. BOOM. Two of Ameliah's best friends...gone.

Sitting at the edge of the water and dipping her toes in, she felt even more sad. By now the duckies would have quacked a greeting and swam towards her toes to find what the strange sausages were.

AMELIAH MISSED QUACKLES.

The boy chuckled as Bliss mimicked his actions, rippling the water and seeing what strange patterns they could create with their feet. Mostly, they made circles that wafted out from their feet in the centre and splashed up the small bank getting his shorts a little wet. He didn't mind that though, as long as it dried up quickly. Then suddenly he had been splashed and he stared back at the girl before him. She didn't just do that! He kicked a little more water up at her, chuckling when it had reached her. There! That was revenge.

He smiled as Bliss came out to join him. "So you're not one of those girls who's scared of getting wet then?" Because he was sure lots of girls screamed and ran away when they got the slightest bit damp, at least that was what he had heard. "Well it is a hot spring" he replied sarcastically, poking out his tongue at her. It made sense really for it to be warm but it was a very inviting feeling. "But I agree, it does feel really good. It's a bit chilly today." It was Autumn now, nearing winter and the temperatures in Scotland didn't usually exceed 20 degrees often, he would know, he lived there himself. But then she splashed him again and he mocked glared at her. His T-Shirt was now wet and he scooped some water up in his hands, splashing her with it. HA! He won! He chuckled happily.

The fun quickly turned into sorrow however when Bliss cried into him. He wasn't sure what to do, he didn't have much experience with crying girls and in some ways, that was a good thing. He kept his arms wrapped around her, not wanting to let go in case it made her feel worse. She wasn't speaking for a while and they sat there in silence. He didn't know whether to proceed questions when she told him it was complicated, but he chose to just in case it would help to let it all go. "You can tell me about it" he nodded firmly. "If you want to that is. I can listen, I don't mind listening." He was a kind young man, he didn't really fit the typical Slytherin image.
