All of you Her eyes fell on Emm as she began gesturing for them to do as the headmistress as said. She would have sat but at the moment she was still a littl stunned by what had just happened. She heard Emm say that she owe her one and to that she smiled. "Nah, you bought me a chocolate frog...technically I owed you one anyway." She smile turned to a grin as she tried not to think about what she had just gotten herself into. At the moment she still had some of the chocolate frog with her so everything was alright in her book. Besides...what was the worst the woman could do? Quote:
Not that she had time to as just then the train came to a sudden stop, sending her hurdling towards the floor with her screeching feline. She tried landing in such a way that she would squish him then got into a seat position on the floor. It seemed she was thinking along the same lines as Ari but she would voice her questions too. "Just what was that?!" She shouted incredulously. Whatever it was it was going to mess up the remainder of her ride! She looked to the others to see if they were alright before trying to stand again. "And don't tell me it's nothing because something had to have stopped the train." |
Quote:
She started shaking and held onto a post (or whatever it is) in the train so as to support her from falling... Quote:
As the train stops immediately, Kat luckily held tighter to the post she was clinging to. Her sling bang bagged onto the wall then she hit her head on the post. Ouch. She massaged her forehead but then she got a headache later on. Uggggghhh... bad luck. |
Text Cut: Bunz Max first shot a look at the girl who called the woman... Hogs Head?!... then at the one who called her Headmaster. What was WITH kids these days? But his demeanor quickly softened when Headmistress Truebridge made her way toward him to leave. It was a rhetorical question, he replied silently, but simply gave a small smile and a nod to the woman. "Right." So what WAS going on? "...James. Of course," he replied obediently, leaning into the wall to give her room to pass as she used his shoulder. He was tempted to offer to accompany her, but she was the Headmistress. She didn't need him. But others might. For now, he looked to Emmaleigh, Lainey, and the crowd of younger students. "Let's all just be cool. Wait for some answers, be on alert, but... don't worry. Everything will be okay." It wasn't likely that they were in any real danger, right? Text Cut: Bunz Max was trying to be calm and cool, you know? But he was really glad the Headmistress called back some brief orders. He wasn't quick on his feet in emergency situations, even though he liked to appear strong and tough. "Good idea." And then Emmaleigh took over. Text Cut: Emmaleigh She was good, too. Max gave her a smile and an encouraging nod before reaching to touch the shoulders of those around him, guiding them toward the walls and urging them to sit down. He removed his wand from his back pocket so he could do the same near the compartment door. "It's like a... fun little game." Or not so fun... Quote:
That was the sound of Max's shoulder crashing into the wall of the compartment as he went to sit down. He bit down HARD on his tongue, holding back a cry, and slid down to his bottom. He was OKAY, though - even if he wasn't, there were more important matters at stake - and quickly averted his attention to everyone else. "Everyone okay? No one hurt?" He slid his wand through his hand, making sure he hadn't broken it during his fall. It was okay, too, and he hugged it to his chest, the only comforting thing he could do for the moment. ...Now what? "Let's not panic," he said first and foremost, his brows furrowed. "Younger ones, stay away from the door. It's probably best to just wait here." For... answers of some sort. Whatever that would entail. |
Em watched from her place on the floor as those around her fell to the floor. They hadn’t reacted nearly as fast as she had to the Headmistress’s request. “”You guys okay?” she asked the crowd. “Anyone hurt? And can someone shut that bird up?” because it was so loud. Halt. Oh no, she really hoped her bird was okay. She hadn’t re-caged him, so he should be fine. Em nodded at Max’s comment, and pulled her trusty towel out of her bag. “That’s right guys, Don’t Panic, It’s the best thing we can do. I don’t know whats going on, but the Headmistress is on it.” Since Max was on the floor beside her, she reached over and grabbed his hand. No, not flirting, just in a this is scary sort of way. She was so terrified, but refused to show it, especially in front of the firsties. That would just make everything worse. Leaning over she asked “You okay from the fall?” and then quietly so only he could hear, "What do you think it is?" |
Let's all grab a portkey and get out of here! Oooh the food trolley! When he entered the place he could see that chaos had begun to ensue, naturally, and that the students were all currently sitting in the floor and standing around, eyes wide. "Hey kids, Armen Recard Department Head Of Magical Transportation for the Ministry here. Your Headmistress summoned me to help out with the Train problem and well...we can't fix it so we will be travelling by Portkey this evening." He dropped the sack of objects onto the floor infront of him. "Don't worry, it's perfectly safe and if you are new to it, just watch what everyone else does." The Ministry official pulled out an old tennis racket, a deflated bagpipe, a broken watch, a hairbrush, and a telephone. "Everyone gather around one of the items here and make sure you touch it in order to be transported. We are meeting up at the Hogsmeade train station like normal. Don't leave the platform until we all arrive." And with that the items began to glow BLUE ready to take off. OCC: What he said guys! Go ahead and Rp your charrie touching a Portkey object and your charrie can disappear. You will soon see where you should post next. ;) |

Just then the door to the food trolley compartment slid open and revealed an older man. Fantastic, more adults... Ariella's eyes widened in awe as he explained the situation for them, "We get to travel by portkey?" Ari asked aloud to no one in particular. This was so exciting, she had traveled by portkey only one other time before, with her father. It was an interesting experience and she was anxious to try it again. The man, Recard she thinks he said, pulled out a bunch of random objects from his bag, the portkeys, and laid them out. They started to glow blue and Ariella knew they were ready to go. She looked over at her friends and said, "Well, how's this for an adventure! I'll meet you guys at the Hogsmead Platform, alright?" Without waiting for an answer, Ariella stepped forward, holding onto Archer's cage and her trunck, and hesitently grasped the broken watch in her hand. Suddenly it felt like Ari was being sucked up, the scenery of the train and her friends faces disapeared and just like that, Ari was was gone. This was going to be a fantastic story to tell her father and siblings about when she returned home... |
Em nodded as the mystery boy relayed what he saw. It was the headmistress out there? It was good to know she was out there with the light, and was working on what was happening. Hearing footsteps down the corridor, Em squeezed Max’s hand tighter. With her wand in her other and she called out. “Who’s there?” Yes, she knew what the Headmistress had said, but if this was someone scary coming to get them, she would totally hex them or something. Hearing the man introduce himself, the seventh year was relieved. This must have the man the boy in the corridor had told her about. They were traveling by portkey? She had only done this twice before, and it had not been fun. Not at all. She watched as five items were placed on the ground in front of them. Right, so they would have to go in groups. “Come on guys,” she said to those around her. “We need to get into groups to do this.” Moving over to the watch, she got ready to touch it when the others did. Her owl Halt then crossed her mind again. Even though she didn’t have him with her, she knew he would make it to the school alright. Someone would have to comeback here tomorrow to get their stuff right? After all, it was a very common thing to store your luggage in one compartment, and wander to others. And the bird was uncaged. He would know where to find her, he always did. For a moment the girl thought about waiting until all the others had gone before using the device. What if some of the first years needed help? But then she realized someone needed to go with the first group too. Plus, the Headmistress was on the train, and Professor Lainey was in the compartment with them. Right. Reaching out, she touched the watch with Ari, and their group disappeared. |
Quote:
Oh, he was Armen Recard from Magical Transportation at the Ministry of magic. That explained everything. Not. Oooh, portkeys! She'd been on one of these with her Oooh, it had turned BLUE! |
Catching up O__O Text Cut: Shifty ;) Cassia's mouth dropped open. Did that woman just say she was the headmistress? It took the twelve year old a couple of seconds to register what just happened. Cassia just spoke inappropriately to the new headmistress. When Cassia finally came to her senses the red-headed woman had already walked passed her. Well, too late to fix whatever stupidity she had committed. Cassia was glad her name wasn't reveled. She can only wish now that their new headmistress has a bad memory when it came to remembering faces and that kinda stuff. Though she doubted it but she could only hope that she didn't just ruin her reputation. Eh..actually she doesn't have a reputation! Well, she needs to work on fixing this somehow! Not that Cassia had any bright ideas. But yet another time she had failed due to her tongue that spoke the words without her brain registering it. That needed to be handled somehow! Quote:
Wait..could it be that the headmistress is taking revenge of Cassia's attitude! Cassia felt the small hears on her neck stand out. She swallowed hard.. well it isn't really a way to punish a second year's stupidity is it? Besides it is obviously happening to the entire train so nah it could be. Wait is the train slowing down...Or it's Cassia's body that's getting numb and she can't feel the movement anymore. Now this is getting really creepy. Quote:
Gaining her courage. Cassia removed her hands from her ears and started to straighten a bit when the train made a sudden stop. The twelve year old felt herself flying towards the side of the car and for the first time her brain made a quick decision of stretching out her arms so she want hit her head instead. She pushed herself flat under one of the windows. Cassia no more wanted to be brave or anything. She just wanted this to stop! And headmistress if that was you doing this to punish Cassia for her attitude then Cassia is sorry ): Text Cut: Saving the day! Curled in a ball, Cassia heard someone talking loudly. She craned her neck in order to hear what was being said. He is a man named Armen Recard and he works for the ministry. AND HE'S HERE TO FIX THE PROBLEM! Great then it wasn't the headmistress punishing Cassia after all! Cassia rose slowly from where she huddles. He said to grab a portkkey. Cassia started to walk towards the source of the voice making sure not to bump against anyone else. She stretched her hand out and one of the stuff. A hairbrush. Yeah whatever if it could take her out of here then who cares what it is. Taking a deep breath Cassia kept her eyes locked on the hairbrush and once the object turned blue Cassia tightened her grip on it. And WEEEEE....She felt herself being snatched by a huge force! |
Quote:
Kat touched the hairbrush and then she disappeared. She felt like there was a hook behind her navel. And it's disturbing. But... oh well. |

She sighed as Felix began rubbing himself against her in a comforting way. Well at least he was trying to make her feel better. She had half a mind to just get up and go find out was was taking so long! Will never told her about the train stopping on his ride here so she didn't expect this to be happening to her. She wanted to to go to school! For a moment she thought of buying herself some candy to keep her occupied but then a man walked up to the trolley speaking about portkeys...whatever those were. Wait so they wouldn't continue the journey by train? But then...what about her luggage?! She should have stayed back in her compartment but noooo she just had to want candy! She watched the others take portkeys and smiled at Ari when she said she would meet them at Hogsmeade...wherever that was. After seeing people disappear with the keys she clung tightly to Felix, took a key then did the same. |
Text Cut: Train and Portkey "Whup!" Garrett was one of the students who went tumbling, momentarily jealous of those who'd stayed on their feet. Then more magic was happening, he realized they would be going on an adventure, and he sort of forgot to be jealous. After giving his bum a please-don't-bruise rub, he looked up at the newly entered adult and listened to what he said. They were going to teleport to school? He hadn't thought anything could trump running through a brick wall and taking a magic train stuffed with wizarding candy, but teleportation was definitely a contender. He scooted over to the objects the man was talking about, and proceeded to look them over. Some little part of him supposed that it didn't really matter which one he held on to, but he was feeling picky. Eventually, and with much anticipation, he touched the broken watch. |
Text Cut: Emmaleigh Max looked to Emmaleigh when she grabbed his hand and he responded by momentarily placing his wand hand on top of hers. "Yeah. Fine." Minus the throbbing elbow. "You?" What was it? Hmm. The boy didn't answer for many seconds. He peered around at all the other students, thinking. "I... think it's not good," he told Emmaleigh, barely loud enough for her to even hear. "This kind of stuff doesn't just happen, y'know? It happens... when someone wants it to happen." The last word crossed his lips, but he didn't hear himself say it. He was concerned now and found himself wishing he wasn't a seventh year. Aside from the adults on board, he was one of the oldest. That means it was his job to look out for everyone and be brave. He really, really wished he was a Gryffindor right about now. Text Cut: Armen If the man hadn't immediately identified himself, Max might have stunned him. But... Armen Recard. Armen Recard? Where had he heard that name before...? Max stared at the man long and hard. And then it clicked - he remembered. Wasn't he the one who got fired from the Department of Magical Transportation a few years ago? And there had been missing things from the Ministry - orbs and things, but also... portkeys? Hadn't his mother gone on a huge rant about that? Was the man rehired? Were those portkeys back? He didn't recall reading any update on the matter in the Prophet. He cleared his throat, ready to question the man, when the portkeys began to glow BLUE already. That didn't give them much time to think, nor to even go grab their luggage. Would they be brought to the school later? Max shot a look first to Emmaleigh, then to Lainey, then to Armen once more. In a last minute attempt to put the pieces together, Max realized - unless the Headmistress was dead somewhere - she had give him the okay to do this. She thought it was a good idea, so why shouldn't Max? The others were already touching the other portkeys, so they would all be fine. When Max was pretty sure everyone was ready to go, he took a leap of faith, gripped his wand tightly in one hand, and reached out to touch the deflated bagpipe with the other hand. And that was that. |
Text Cut: Alexa, Ariella, Max, Emmaleigh, Headmistress and Recard Dylan listened as they all found out that this new woman was the headmistress, so this was who they were supposed to call Hogs Head .. got it! He chuckled as Alexa called the Headmistress the Hogs Head and also requested an explanation as to why she liked being called that. Dylan too was interested in why she liked being called that cause it was a very unusual name to be called. "Yeah we can all call you that its not a problem" he agreed going along with Alexa if thats what the headmistress wanted. Dylan shook his hand and listened as Max said all the things he wanted to hear, with each sentence Dylan's face was brightening up. "Now that what I am looking for! Everything you just said!" he chuckled "All that fun, exploring, adventures.. all of it! Oh yes I can see that I will like it with all of that" he smiled as he imagined himself going on lots of adventures, having alot of fun exploring the castle. He listened some more as Max went onto talk about his parents "Then I am sure I will have alot of fun too! cause I kinda know whats coming but still I can just see that it will be alot of fun if you say so. " he smiled as he listened to Max talk to Emmaleigh. He then looked at the Hogs Head .. whoops sorry Headmistress who didnt seem to be very happy about being called that. oops! He then listened as Ariella and Alexa whispered things to each other but he could sort of tell what they were whispering about, afterall its not everyday that you see someone react like that to their name. Just then lights went all funny.. going out and then coming back on and again.. what was happening? he may be a first year but he was pretty sure this wasnt supposed to happen. He looked at everyone else who was just as confused. He listened as they were told to sit down .. but why? well that was shortly answered as at the next moment the train jerked and he landed flat on his bottom. Ok so now he was sitting down. Not long after a man entered the trolley area claiming to be a member of the ministry and said that he had instuctions to help them off the train. Well that was good so at least they would be getting of the train, he saw the items being taken out and watched in amazement as they started to glow a blue color. So they were supposed to grab one of those items and they were supposed to be transported to the train station? ohhh were these those portkey things that his dad had told him about but not let him use. He had done floo powder but not the portkeys. He watched as they all one by one touched one of the many items that were there and watched as the portkeys started disappearing with the people. He quickly touched one just before it jerked him away from the trolley area |
Quote:
Ignoring the feeling that the train was slowing, she turned to the boy and said, "I'm Glenn, by the way. Fourth yEA-" The train stopped, making her wobble where she was standing. She threw out a hand to stop herself, accidentally grabbing hold of the boy's arm. Her cat, Amata, who was small enough to be carried in her bag, was tossed from it and raked the side of Glenn's face with her claws as she landed on the ground. "Ouch, Amata." She hissed at her cat, putting a hand to the side of her face. Right. What was she holding on to- Uh oh. She quickly took her hand from his arm, "Sorry. I mean - I didn't - I was falling." She blushed, annoyed at doing such a girly thing; she turned away, seeing the mysterious new adult on the train. Quote:

didn't forget this place psssssh no I didn't Anastasia poked her head into the food train, not really certain anyone would still be in here but feeling obligated to check anyway. And look, stragglers. "YOU. You. YOU. All of you," the woman pointed, gesturing for the leftovers to grab a portkey. "Get a hold of one of those and GO. We're late for the feast." She narrowed her eyes at the students and watched and waited for them to do as she'd commanded. Once the kids and the portkeys had disappeared, Annie moved on to check for more stragglers. |
