Milton nodded at her. "I'm fine. I feel fine." Unless someone ran into one of his bruises. That didn't feel too good. "You don't need to worry about me." Although it was rather endearing and it made him smile and feel happy things inside that he couldn't describe. "Are you okay?" Maybe that was a better question to ask. |
Quote:
"You know that I'm going to do that anyway." Worry. It's what she did. Especially when someone was nearly eaten. Was she okay? What kind of question was that? "Me?" Nothing happened to her. "Minus going absolutely mental trying to check on you, I'm perfectly fine." And yes. She had been going crazy since the second she heard the news. |
Quote:
He set his cup back down as she spoke. "Well, you were slightly mental before, so I'm sure that's nothing." Milton gave her a teasing smile and a nudge to the arm. SEE? He was fine. A-Okay. Super duper. |
Quote:
Stupid badge. It made him all... overly loyal and overly responsible. She then laughed lightly. "Don't pretend you don't like it. It makes me interesting." Yup. She wasn't even going to deny she was a bit mental. |
Quote:
Anya didn't even deny that she was mental? Milton laughed. "Yes, but you have several other things going for you, don't worry." One of them being she kept him smiling. That was a plus. |
Quote:
She smiled and gave a small happy bounce in her seat. "D'aww. How sweet." she said. "And I don't really worry when it comes to you, anyway. I know you like plenty of things about me." They were what they were for a reason after all. She then squeezed his hand once more. "So... you promise you're okay? No... post-traumatic stress or... anything...? Because. It's fine if you do." She actually had experienced a little first hand last term. "Because... we can talk, if you need to. Or want to. Or whatever." |
Quote:
Chuckling, Milton shook his head. She was adorable. "I know. You're my little potato." GRIN. They were two weirdos and totally crazy Siiiigh. There she was worrying again. "Yes, Anya, I promise I'm fine." And he didn't have post-traumatic stress... Yet. Maybe it hadn't set in yet. Maybe he was still in shock or something and the nightmares about man eating plants and exploding professors and stuff would come later. But he certainly hoped not. "Talk...? About what? Plants?" |
For anyone ;) Aurora was sitting among her housemates at their table. She was really enjoying everyone's excitement that they won the housecup and the quidditch cup. It was only her second year so she was relatively new to all the celebration that went on in the End of term feast. She piled her plate with food and tucked in. |
Vickers, Vivi, Bee (and then maybe a bit more of the Vs at the end) For all of Kendall's wide-eyed confusion at what she had walked into, it seemed like some people had even more of it. At least, Vickers had only given her an odd look in response to her congratulations, whic h immediately made her feel like maybe she had said the wrong thing. Either that or she was just in the wrong place, but then, she was at her own house table. She was supposed to be here, at least. At the table. She had the weirdest feeling she was witnessing something she both shouldn't be and also wasn't anywhere close to understanding, though, so the wide eyes didn't go away. And she just continued watching the older boy, ignoring the possibility that a tinge of dark, dark blue was starting to appear at the tips of her hair as her confusion and concern kept growing, along with the feeling that maybe she should just go hide at one of the other tables. Even if Patrick wasn't there, she could find someone who wasn't looking like they were expecting everything to shatter into she had no idea what. Maybe she could find a Hufflepuff. Logan, or any of the others that she'd talked to. Even Abby. A random argument about how the older Puff was and always would be better than her would make more sense than this. Whatever this was. But then she noticed Vivi wiggling her fingers at her along with giving her a tiny smile, and she'd turned to the blonde with a tiny smile of her own at the words of gratitude. At least maybe that meant she hadn't said the wrong thing. Chocolate wasn't going to help her much if she'd said something stupid, after all, and her sugar rush had definitely ebbed with all the confusion. "You're welcome," she said simply, even as her hazel eyes flickered between the blonde and her unknowing Arithmancy helper again. And that faltered as Beezus had returned her greeting, and she turned her glance to her friend even as the brunette had released Vivi from the headlock hug at the blonde's request. At least someone didn't entirely look like things were breaking apart or about to, and a brighter yet no less genuine smile had gone to her fellow almost fifth year. Even as she still kind of felt like she should just go away. She hadn't however, even as it seemed like things had gotten even worse. At least, something had gone on with the seventh years and she just went back to feeling awkward. And Beezus was now accusing Vivi of having done something to Vickers, so maybe she wasn't the only one completely confused. She wasn't about to join in on accusations, though, when technically she only knew both of them from classes. Beezus had the Quidditch connection, or whatever it was. Kendall just had a few entirely random conversations with them to stand as evidence of any sort of connection, but she still felt sorry for them for whatever it was that was wrong, and she chewed her lower lip a little as she tried to figure out what to do. She could only think of one thing, and honestly she didn't even know if it would work. Either way, she dug in her pocket for a second or two before pulling out two of the chocolate frogs she still had left from the last visit she'd made to the kitchens with Patrick, and reached forward to set them on the table sort of between where Vivi had her head down and where Vickers was sitting looking stricken. "Um, I don't know what's wrong, but here. Chocolate is supposed to make people feel better, isn't it? It's not a lot, but maybe it'll work," she said quietly, before looking away to see if she could find somewhere to sit. She didn't want to stay and intrude on things when she didn't know what they were, but she also wanted to know if either of them would acknowledge her attempt. Lots of people would say that her giving away chocolate was miraculous anyway, but she could give it up if it might help. |
SPOILER!!: Adam, Ronnie, Harvey, Ethan, and Minnie! Adam: Ameliah grinned. "Hey Adam! Long time no see," she joked. "And I told you... We just started arguing about you-know-what." Ronnie: She blushed as Ronnie mentioned Logan. "YES, actually, I've been dying to get back home." She missed him so much, she actually cried about it. Not that she'd mention it.... "And for the record, from what I've heard, you've been pretty better than just good." She jerked her head towards Adam. Wink wink, nudge nudge, ammiright? Minnie: Ameliah rolled her eyes again at Minnie, and was happy at the change of subject. "Not much. Not much of a planner." But she knew one thing- she will NOT leave Logan's side. For at least a week. wibble. "You?" Ethan: Ameliah laughed. "Well you may not, but I at least know you've gotten pretty famous." She said with another laugh. He seemed cool enough, but that didn't mean she still wasn't gonna find out more. "So how come we haven't met? We're in the same house..." Maybe Am just had to get out more or something. |
plus y'all know who you are ;).... Quote:
.... specially if they're whispering convo seems to be taking the attention of everybody. He felt her hand on his under the table, and his gaze returned to her face. He said nothing, but his eyes said it all--he will never forget that letter Genevieve Branxton. How could he, when despite the anguish it caused him, its whats given him the courage to sit there and talk to her... and is finally making him come to terms with his demons? Suddenly it looked like Vivi fainted.. but not. Distracted, disoriented, desperately trying to feign normality, he peered over her just when she mumbles out the words She knows. He blinked back confused for a second, mumbling "Who kno--" and then it hit him.... .... his gaze flies to Louisa, and suddenly her lack of emotional response to his gift, her furtive glances at their direction started to make sense.... Beezus had that tone, Kendall was putting something on the table... none of those could shake the feeling like he’s been cast the body-bind spell and was twisting something invisible around his throat. He gaze at Louisa-- confused? afraid?... and unable to tear his eyes off her, he murmured to the blonde ”What exactly does she know?” |
Text Cut: Ethan <3 She chuckled, not wholeheartedly since her mind was crowded with inexplicable notions, and waved his worry off. "It wasn't mushy. I am mushy today. It's just... everything you know. I suddenly am not so eager to leave all of this." Putting a strand of her hair behind her ears and staring distractedly at the table in front of her. Oh he was promising her too! Louisa let her face soften at his words and nodded, "I believe in you guys. And even this year, I don't think there's anyone prouder than I am with my housemates this moment." They supported her, gave her strength to be at her full potentials when things were being cruel and illogical. Her smile was slightly bigger. Good, by the end of the summer she'd be drowned with letters. Maybe she should get a part-time job just to get time writing to every single one of her left friends? "There is my independent life plans and my academic plans." Louisa folded her hands and used them to rest her head, looking at Ethan sideways. "Find a job and move to a place of my own." She apparently digs independence, maybe the consequences are still vague but this year she proved even to herself that she could be responsible. "Academically, I'm not decided on a college yet. But I will as soon as I save some cash." She paused and deflected the question to him, "Any special summer plans for you?" Text Cut: The bestest baby claw ever Louisa nodded firmly and with the same subtle friendly smile on her face, "We sure will." But the seventh year didn't dare to promise anything. For all she knew, Louisa might be working her head off trying to pay rental and get into a respectable college. She was going to do her best to see Lily as much as possible though. Lily was her baby project, so to speak. This grin on the girl's wet face was enough to put the head girl's pain on pause, and made her smile back at her. Huh? Vickers? The seventh year's smile twitched and she had to fake a chuckle before trying to give a diplomatic answer. "We didn't really talk about this. But he lives in America, big fancy house and all." She waved her hand, "I'm not sure he's sure about his after school plans. We... uhh.. we didn't have time to talk thoroughly about it." Did she sound defensive? Or maybe out too much emphasis on this small question? Louisa had to rub her nose's bridge a bit to clear her head. This issue was messing with her head. "Yeah, I didn't like all the scary things either. But everything's over now." She wasn't really sure though, the ghosts seemed very concerned about Isfret to be gone forever. What if he found another way in? "But Spike will keep a good eye on you all, along with whoever is the next Prefect." She trusted Spike at least. As Lily pulled out the cute box from under the table, Louisa's face lost any trails of tension and pretense to be happy. Those kind gestures were not making it easy for her to just get on with this night. She pulled the box closer and opened it slowly, "You didn't have to do this, Lily honey." OHH! A beautiful painting. "Wow." She picked it up and stared at it for a moment, her fingers tracing over the beautiful flowers. "This is beautiful." Then there was a very cute scarf. She took it out and spread it across her lap, "I'm sure this one will come in handy!" More eager now she pulled out the last thing folded in the box and her chuckle echoed loudly at what was written on the t-shirt. "Aw, Lily, that's very sweet of you!" She leaned closer and wrapped her arms tightly around the younger redhead. Words failed her. "Thank you." Quote:
Text Cut: Max & Spike <3 <3 Because Max was doing this scary full-on looking into her face, literally making her feel his eyes seeing right through her veils, Louisa forced her eyes to stay on Spike. He was very peaceful today and she could stare at him all day. Even if it'd make him freak out and blush. His question about her spending all night studying made her blink, taking few extra seconds to understand where he got this idea from. Then she shrugged slowly, "No biggie." It wasn't what she meant by her earlier words but there was no point explaining the whole miserable situation now. No one could help her, she was on her own. Her greyish blue eyes were back on the Ravenclaw couple as Max and Spike answered her question. The former boy gave a concise answer while her co-Prefect was more comfortable with projecting his POV. Louisa simply nodded very slowly, during which Vickers looked their way and their eyes almost met if it wasn't for the head girl's head snapping toward her two companions. She didn't want him to see her staring at them! "Yeah, you're probably right.." Her hands were nervously folding and unfolding in her lap. Maybe the three of them should go bid professor Vee goodbye on behalf of their house? Spike's gifts first though! Louisa sighed, relieved, at the change of subject and the fake grin quickly faded into a genuine excitement when the Ravenclaw boy put a pot in front of her. "Dirt?" She asked lightly before he tapped it and stunning lilacs and chiming bluebells. "Merlin's beard! This is so..." she breathed, her hands floating around the moving bluebells, afraid to ruin them and yet eager to touch the cute little bell-flowers. "... impressive. I will definitely make sure this goes to my new place!" When Louisa leaned in slightly, she sniffed the subtle sweet smell and her smile grew bigger. This was very Spike and very special! Oh wait... was there something else? Her fingers gingerly picked up the wooden eagle inside the pot. Sniff. Sniff. "You guys! It's hard to keep a firm attitude when you're being so touching and cute. Come here." The wooden figure was back inside the pot in a second and she streeeeetched across the table looping her arms around Spike's and Max's necks.Sniff. The edge of the table was stabbing her but she didn't care, her emotions were acute already without these caring gestures. "Thank you so much." SNIFF. |

It most certainly wasn't too bad as far as Presley was concerned. She'd intensely hated the woman. But it seemed like the right thing to say. She had liked professor Christiansen well enough, but not well enough to be too upset he was gone. Of course, it was shocking and tragic, but she wasn't about to cry over it. Remembering that Milton's girlfriend was next to him and she needed to be polite Presley smiled at the girl. Anya? Presley thought that might be her name, but she didn't want to risk it in case she was wrong. Instead she held out her hand across the table. "Presley Black," she introduced herself. Even if she was in love with Milton Shaklebolt she didn't want his girlfriend to dislike her. She wasn't a boyfriend stealer. She just hoped that Milton fell hopelessly in love with her, and broke up with the other girl. Watching how they interacted though, it didn't seem very likely. |
Harvey, Ethan, Minnie, aaaand Ameliah. <3 Sorry this is late! Quote:
A smile spread across her face as Harvey told her how he was doing and how his term went. "That's good to hear, Harvs!" she said. She then nodded. "Yeah, of course I enjoyed it! Except for the OWLs and work of course." she said with a laugh. Yeaaaah...those hadn't been much fun. Quote:
Quote:
She then shook her head. "No plans so far." she said with a small shrug. She never really did anything fun in the summer...she normally just stayed home or hung out with friends or go to Diagon Alley. "What about you?" she asked. "We have to hang out sometime this summer." she added with a firm nod. They HAD to! Ronnie missed hanging out with Minnie. "They went pretty okay," Ronnie said, "I wasn't too stressed." she laughed. It had been quite crazy with all the studying and all... Quote:
She rolled her eyes. "Oh Merlin..." she said, her cheeks turning a little red. Great, if Ameliah kept this up Ronnie's face would turn into like a tomato... |

Sort of true. True enough, at least. She released Kendall and tugged Beezus into a hug next. "He's innocent. I'm just being silly. Now then... let's go join the party." She nodded down the table to where Max and Louisa and Spike were sitting. This was beginning to be too much about her, and she would rather share the evening with her friends. Quote:
"Will you wait for me at the barrier tomorrow? I want to see you before we leave," Vivi pulled back and clapped his arm a bit more heartily than necessary. She needed to talk to him again, but she wasn't going to do it with an audience. Even if it was just long enough to check in, she didn't want to close the book on Hogwarts without seeing him again. But for now... Vivi plucked at his sleeve to rise before herding Beezus and Kendall down the table toward the other seventh years and Spike. "We've made up," she informed Louisa with a pert nod of her ponytail before sliding in next to Max and nuzzling his shoulder. |
Quote:
She turned back to Taylor, a confused look on her face. "What happened?" she asked. |
Hmm, apparently we're being herded? Okay. xD So, I guess add Spike, Louisa and Max Text Cut: da V's As the seconds drew on after her setting the chocolate frogs down, Kendall honestly was starting to think that she needed to stop offering chocolate to her housemates. At least Logan and Hannah had actually ackowledged the offer, and thanked her for it, but she'd already had Mika act like she hadn't offered it back when they'd all been locked out of the common room, and now Vickers had barely even noticed. Either something was very wrong, or her fellow Claws just didn't appreciate how hard it was for her to actually give up chocolate. Especially when she was trying to help, and the dark blue just kept creeping slowly up from the ends of her hair as she glanced between Beezus, Vickers, and Vivi, who still had her head down on the table so should have realized there was a chocolate frog practically an inch away from her nose. At least the frogs were being uncharacteristically docile and not moving, which had distracted her for a moment. Either their charms had worn off, or it understood how weird the moment was. She had just decided the charms had probably worn off when a really weird gurgly sound had bubbled up from Vivi. Almost a laugh, but still just weird and confusing and definitely breaking through the silence that had settled over their little bubble of space at the table, and she had turned her head toward the blonde only to find herself enveloped in a hug. Um, okay, she thought, listening as Vivi had spoken to her, trying to explain what was wrong. "I know that, but...," she said, glancing over at Vickers again as she was finally released and Beezus was now the one getting the Vivi-hug. Definitely a lot of emotions going around, but she was still confused. It was about leaving, but Vickers was innocent of something. Either way, she dug in her pocket and bit into another piece of chocolate as the attention was back even the tiniest bit on her. The other frogs were still Vickers' and Vivi's if they wanted them, but she wanted chocolate too if they were moving to join the others. Especially as there was another pause as Vivi had gone back to talking to Vickers, and she used her chocolate to keep her from listening in to figure out what was going on. Which was good, as next thing she knew, she was being herded down the table toward the other group, along with Beezus and, she assumed, Vickers. "Um, hi!," she said awkwardly to the other older students. The Head Girl, the other prefect, and everyone else who was currently being nuzzled by Vivi. She definitely didn't have enough chocolate in her pockets for them all, if they were going to be all upset too. But then, hopefully the speech was going to happen soon and they'd get other food too. Whenever Headmistress Truebridge stopped screeching for something to be killed, and her gaze flickered back toward the staff table. This was definitely a weird feast. |
yes its been a wierd term lol! SPOILER!!: Vivi and Kendall First he thought Vivi fainted, then she was mumbling, then suddenly she was up and giving Beezus and Kendall a hug. Was he so disoriented he's hallucinating in all of this? But then Vivi turned and embraced him, whispering the answer to his ear. .... Seriously if Vivi's arms wasnt around him he might've face-planted on the table himself. Louisa knows the library and the letter. His features darkened considerably. He wanted to tell Louisa about all that, as it is but fair to her that she knows firsthand since she was his girlfriend. But now he's stuck playing catchup-- or is that defense? But before he can ask Vivi any more about how the ginger gal found out she was saying about meeting her at the barrier "I.... ok." he mumbled before having the group join Max, Spike and Louisa. Will he actually make it to the wall in one piece? Who knows. Then there was this SHRIEKING at the Staff table, and he turned his head to figure out what the commotion was about. Something about the Headmistress and a frog. Great, he might end up being turned into one of those before the feast is over... With Kendall's chocolate frog fumbled nervously between his fingers he sat himself across the Head Girl, finding the strength to look at her even when his insides were churning. He tried to speak but realized his throat has dried up completely, and reached out for a drink before a shaky hand returned the glass next to his plate. Clasping his hands together under the table he muttered feebly "Y-You all set? I'll help bring your things to the platform and the train." He needed to talk to her. And her alone. |

Am chuckled. "So... It's official? You guys are...?" Cos she was sure they were dating, but she didn't know if it was that or they both just reeeeeeally like each other. |

There was a screech. It didn't stop so Louisa turned her head toward the source and saw the headmistress jumping and almost landing in professor Vee's lap. Because of a frog in her goblet. Ew. Lazily the Ravenclaw turned her head back toward Max and Spike to find the others joining them. Quote:

Then there was a rather awkward younger Ravenclaw joining them too. "Hi." Louisa saw her around a lot but she forgot her name. Something related to Aurora was in her name. If she wasn't so poker face-y and uninterested with everything around her, she would've remembered. Vickers was sitting across from her too. Why was she sitting with two blank spots on either sides of her? Was it because Spike's pot and Lily's gift box were occupying the space? Whatever. Everyone could sit wherever they wanted. Louisa went back to playing with her spoon, not looking at anyone in particular until her boyfriend spoke to her. "I don't need help, thank you. I've done it a dozen times before." She wasn't snapping or being rude, her tone was very casual and bored. Also she didn't think it was necessary to directly look at him, his reflection on her spoon would do. |

Imagine that. Vickers was being stubborn. |
Ameliah and Taylor. Sorry for the short repliesss. x) Quote:
She nodded. "Yeah, we are." she answered, smiling shyly. Quote:

Text Cut: you can't leave because we'll miss you too much! This summer is gonna be the best yet. Or at least Lily thought since Benjy was going to be around as was Louisa. The third year turned toward her older claw friend and gave her a hug. It was nice to have someone who acted like an older sister in your life and for Lily, the head girl fit that role. Uh...oh... it seemed like this was touchy subject with the seventh year. "He lives in America? And he comes all the way here to Hogwarts?" Oops.. maybe she shouldn't have asked more about Vickers for now. "Is it really all over now?" The redhead asked, looking up at the head girl's face with big blue eyes. She really wanted it to all be finished now. "Who do you think will be the next prefect?" The third year didn't really know anyone between her year and Louisa's in Ravenclaw, except for the few on the Quidditch team. As Louisa started opening her gift, Lily beamed. "But I wanted too because you're the best older claw ever." Or at least that's what the redhead thought. The painting was up first. "I painted it myself.... they're forget-me-nots so that you don't forget me. You could put it on the wall of your apartment." Then the scarf came out. "My mommy knit that over Christmas." Last came the t-shirt. Which made Louisa laugh. "It has kitties on it because I know you like them since you have Viola and Cuddles. And it says big sister because you're like a big sister to me." Cue more tearing up. Lily was glad for the hug because she didn't want to let her 'big sister' leave. "I'm gonna miss you, Louisa. I don't want you to leave me..." |
