Delphi nodded, if only lightly. Yes, she did. Delphi herself may not be one of those googly-eyed, Witch Weekly magazine reading, lip-gloss wearing, hair-flipper girls who gushed over just about any boy they came in contact with, but she was still a girl and she still knew girl things, too.
He didn't know. In some sense, that said it all, and it said nothing at the same time. Delphinia knew what 'I don't know' meant when Nathan used it. But it wasn't enough right now to sort her own confusion - Yes, hers had returned, too. Only in a different way, if that were possible. And he was staring at the ceiling, as he spoke, causing something to stir in Delphi - the urge to get up and pounce on him returned, despite the change in the air - which was.. almost tense, but not quite. This time, she reacted to it. Slowly getting up from her seat and creeping toward him, Delphi jumped on his legs and simply perched there.
Though her action was entirely playful, but the smile had long since vanished from her face. She had caught every word, and was going over how to respond in her head. In the end, she decided fewer words would be better, and really responding would be avoided. "He.. hit you with a bagel." Never mind that. Delphi's voice lowered considerably, looking at Nathan in all seriousness. "Yeah.. I do." She sort of leaned back a bit, giving him room. Her hands pressed into the seat behind her ankles to hold herself from falling on his feet.
Nathan got somewhat lost in thought when Delphi didn't reply. The realization that Addy might him like him was very interesting to him. He was even a bit flattered, no doubt. But on many levels it felt ridiculous to him that it might be true.
It was silly but he was glad that he had been lost in .. in his head. Because that made Delphi's next move even much more pleasant. He had been staring at the ceiling - wondering what he was suppose to do with this new thought-of information when she pounced at him. POUNCED AT HIM, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. Yes.
Nathan almost shrieked but found himself laughing loud. His laughter would have lasted longer if he hadn't noticed Delphie's face. She was not smiling - .. It didn't even take him another second get up to search her face for the reason of her expression. Something was troubling her, it seemed ..
Being as spontaneous as he ever was, Nathan found himself grabbing Delphi's legs and pulling her closer to him. He got her legs to rest in his lap as he stared at her with a small smile. "Tell me what's bothering you?"

Delilah looked up at her, frowning. She'd not seen or heard of Johnny all summer. He'd probably been too busy climbing mountains and going on adventures to send her an owl... That didn't really bother her too much though.
"I ... I ... No?" Delilah glanced out of the window. Her hair still smelled all burny... It was going to be like that for days, at least, wasn't it? She focused her attention back on the girl in front of her. "Why? ... Should he have told me this something?"
And... Why would it mean that Delilah would be mad at Aurora for it? THAT bit really didn't make any sense to the girl...
No..? He hadn't told her? Ha!
Oh he had better not be regretting it. Aurora certainly didn't. In fact she was pretty damn satisfied with herself. She put her wand back in its holster and looked at Delilah for a second. "Do you have any idea what he's been doing this summer..?" Yes, that made it sound like they'd spent the whole summer betraying her... but Aurora was taking poetic license with this conversation. Hehehe.
"You know, you should probably keep closer tabs on him... take it from me: not all boys are faithful." she said, raising an eyebrow slightly and sitting down in her seat. Oh no, she wasn't about to leave. She wanted to see how long it took for Delilah to figure it out.

His laughter almost brought a smile to her lips, almost. The corners of her mouth wanted to turn upward, but something else - a feeling inside, that she couldn't even identify if she had to, - prevented that from happening.
In an instant, Nathan was sitting upright and pulling her closer, when she had just consciously made good and sure she had given him his personal bubble space. Not that, Nathan really had a personal bubble - not one that was ever paid attention to, but nonetheless.. Apparently, her effort not to end up sitting on his feet had been for nothing. Because now she was, per his pulling. Her own feet rested in his lap, her gaze directed on those shoes again.
But that only lasted a moment, and then her own green eyes traveled up to meet his. Sitting in silence after his question was out, Delphi couldn't help but think of how it was strange realizing, you were staring at a pair of eyes almost the same color exact as yours. Without a mirror involved, and in somebody else's head to boot. And yes, Delphinia was trying to avoid saying anything at all. Nathan, on the other hand, was still staring. Her eyes wide and almost childlike, or maybe more similar to a deer caught in head-lights, Delphi shook her head slowly. Nope.

Alright now where did that little guy get off to. She had only turned her back on him for half an hour two seconds at most yet he managed to slip away.
Lex sighed. She didn't have time to be looking for her feline friend but she had to for the sake of all the unsuspecting owls and their owners who might have given them free reign to be outside their cages. When she found him she would skin him alive.
Coming to the middle of the train she decided to start checking compartments in the hopes that he might have curled up in one and simply gone to sleep. She threw open a compartment door and found some girls already in there. She recognized only one of them. Stare.
Look. Stare. Look some more. Nothing.
"Have any of you seen a knea--uh a cat wondering around?" Just then her eyes landed on a girl that was crying her eyes out. "Hey, what's wrong with you?" Unless she was one of those girls who reached the age where they apparently cried for no reason in which case she was about to walk away. Quickly.
Laura looked at the girl, she didn't know what to say, she looked at the older girl for advice maybe she would know what to do. "It's...It's..." Laura really didn't want to talk about it with a complete stranger, so she just stopped speaking then. "I'm Laura.." She decided she should introduce herself, she couldn't think of anything else to say though so she just sat there.

Oh, and what was Hogwarts like? "It's so pretty...and really big. There are tons of things to see and do and...well it becomes home after a while." That was a good explanation, yeah? Ella hoped so. "Plus, the best part? The food is delicious!" Mhm! It totally was. "I'm a big eater...if you couldn't already tell." But that wasn't a bad thing, right? Meh. Ella ate another gummy worm while she waited for Ari's response.

Only Anya actually answered his question. James did not know how he felt about that. He looked at Alice and smiled. "I'm fine, Alice" he lied. He wasn't okay. Family problems the last few days of summer had really depressed him. He sighed and ran a hand through his curly hair.
He looked up at Penelope, who was stroking her cat. It was a pretty cat. "You're cat's really pretty, Penelope" he smiled, trying to force on a conversation so his voice didn't get hoarse from disuse.
And......did James not like him? It didn't seem like it.
*sigh* Oh well.

Because apparently, if two people thought that something related to her was pretty, it somehow made her feel a tiny bit better. Not much, but a little.
It probably wouldn't last though. Because those gummy bears were ignored as well.

Oh. Jake instantly grinned when Anya took his hand. He watched her silently as she got out the gummy bears and tossed them on the floor. Apparently Alice was the only one that wanted any, though, because she hopped off Jake's lap to get some. Jake glanced at Penelope, wondering if she wanted any. He definitely didn't... at the moment.
"So," he said, turning slightly back toward Anya. "I- Oh. Hey, Ali." Again. The girl was on his lap again. And... her gummy bears looked tasty, actually. Maybe she'd share.
...Ahem. "Can I have a few of those?" He asked quietly, motioning to the bag of gummy bears.
Kendall's worries that there were less truffles than she'd originally thought in the box were definitely relieved as Patrick merely took a piece of plastic out of the box to revel another layer underneath. That was good, specially if they really were going to be seeing exactly how many truffles they could eat before they literally started bouncing off the walls. Ten certainly weren't enough, and she took a few more as he'd responded to her idea about the elves. "They really do make awesome stuff. But so do you," she replied. And allegedly the Gryffindor prefect, who was always giving the staff cookies at feasts and stuff. She didn't make chocolate though, so Patrick was still better in Kendall's eyes. Plus, she hadn't met the Gryffindor prefect yet over the past three terms, so she couldn't judge her cookies. Maybe she'd have to sometime though. Truffle experiment first, and she grinned as Patrick had not only agreed to give her her promised chocolate once they got to Hogsmeade, but that he'd give her even more. That was even better, even if she got less truffles right now since the other boy had arrived.
The other boy who had been welcomed by her friend, affirming they had enough truffles for a third in their experiment, and she grinned as he'd introduced himself. "Hi Logan. I'm Kendall Lily. Kendall's easier though. We're doing an experiment to see how many chocolate truffles we can eat in one sitting before we get way too much of a sugar rush," she informed him, finishing off her thirteenth truffle and grabbing a couple more. "Are you just starting at Hogwarts?, " she continued, finally taking a seat as he had. At least nobody had sat on Accio yet, who was still attempting to get Patrick's attention. Along with another person who had suddenly burst in and grabbed his hand and loudly introduced herself, which almost brought a giggle out of herself. That was definitely not going to work. As far as she could say, it would just shut Patrick down since she hadn't gotten him half as sociable as she was yet. And she'd just have to hope he'd be back to normal once the train got back to Hogwarts, because there was no way she was going to let him forget to give her her chocolate.
At least she still had Logan to talk to, and she momentarily tuned Mika out. "I've been at Hogwarts since I was eleven," she answered him. "And I'm going into fourth year now. So's Patrick." She didn't have to completely ignore him, at least, even if she'd tuned the younger girl out. Until Accio had suddenly eyed the other girl, then stalked away to jump onto his mistress's lap. Her cat definitely hadn't liked being almost sat on, and the ornage tabby got an absentminded pet as she popped yet another truffle into her mouth. "Did you wanna join the experiment?," she asked Logan, snagging the truffle box again at the same time Mika's conversation topic had changed, and Kendall's hazel eyes went to the girl. "A metamorphmagus?," she asked. "So'm I. But that's not a trick. It's just who I am." Even if she didn't completely have control over her hair color yet. Except for the current pink streaks in her auburn hair, which she was so very proud to have finally mastered. The owl story didn't go unnoticed either, and her eyes had flickered to Patrick's owl. Mika better not mush Orion's brain too. At least she only had her cat, but then it seemed like Mika had tried to smush him.

After she had introduced himself to the boy who had entered the compartment, he had wondered if he should have too since it would have been a good idea. But before he had the opportunity to speak, another girl burst into the area out of nowhere and he had just blinked at her immense enthusiasm since it was quite startling; though that earlier feeling of being watched only seemed to intensify as she had decided to introduce herself to him. "Erm... hi?" His voice went up a couple octaves when he spoke since he wasn't quite sure what to think of Mika, other than the fact that she oddly seemed to have met him before. Apparently. Looking over at Kendall, he had given her a blank expression so that she could have figured something was wrong and it had only gotten worse at the mention of the what happened to the little girl's owl. Dear Merlin. Grabbing Orion's cage, he got up and looked out to see the food trolley down the corridor which was perfect. "I'll um.. I'll see you guys later. Nice to meet you Logan." He walked out of the compartment and just headed off down the corridor, sure his trunk was still there but he trusted his friend to look after it for him while he was gone.

Mika smiled over to Kendal she had to admit she was a pretty girl, looked smart, and kind of remembered her from the year before...but not that well - only enough to remember she was amazingly smart. Right?
She smiled WIDELY at Kendall when she brought up being a metamorphamagus. "Would you like to have metamorphamagus lessons together?" she asked excitedly. "All I can do is this" she screwed up her face and moments later after loads of concentration she looked a year younger. Her eyes were a little larger, her hair longer and more blond, and most of all her entire face looked like a kids and not of an almost-teen girl. She glanced over in the room and smiled to Logan.
"Hi I'm Mika..." she trailed off and turned her attention back to Kendall and her cat. "Oooh what is your kitty's name?" She asked smiling. "I've got a pygmy puff named Dez" she smiled.
It wasn't until Patrick had said hello back that she thought something was wrong. She couldn't help but frown when he grabbed his owl and walked off. It wasn't her fault the owl-thing had happened. Someone namely her sister had closed the darn window! She huffed and crossed her arms above her chest.
Her mood changing the moment she realized that indeed the one and only Theo was in the room.
"THEO!" She giggled excitedly her concentration waning and her looks returning to the newer older Mika. "How are you? How was summer? Did you see West and Blue over summer? I've missed you guys! WE NEED TO HANG OUT THIS YEAR!" She nearly squealed the last bit.
Good god she was over excitable.

Cora nervously boarded the train, looking around for an empty place to sit. She timidly twirled a lock of her curly brown hair, and secretly hoped someone would invite her to sit with them. She doubted it, though. She was pretty good at being invisible.
Everyone seemed so happy and content to chat, but Cora desperately wanted more friends. She wondered vaguely where Elliot might be, but Cora was sure Elliot would have plenty more friends to sit with who were cooler than she was. Cora smiled when she thought of her friend Elliot.
Distracted slightly at everything going on around her, she clumsily dropped all of her things in the middle of the hallway. It was going to be harder to make friends than Cora thought.
Laura sighed. "Why do I feel like I've made the wrong choice then." Laura really wished that Oakey was still sitting there chatting with her but well she knew now it was going to be awhile before they spoke again. "I think you could be right there." Laura was finally managing to stop the tears. "I'm really sorry you had to see me like this." Laura gave the older girl a small smile. "And I'm sorry you had to see that." Laura hugged the older girl back.

"The right decisions don't always feel right at first. But if you hadn't told him and he found out later, he would think you were trying to hide it from him, and things would be worse." Nod, nod, nod. "You're fine." she said petting the girl on the head. "It wouldn't be Hogwarts with out tears and drama."
When Lexa wandered in, Em gave her a smile. "You have a kneazle?" she asked, catching the girl's slip. Letting the girls get, uh, aquatinted. "No, I haven't seen him."
Ariana watched as he stormed away "I'm Not sharing my cookies with you!!" she shouted to him as he walked away

Maxwell tried not to laugh at what Ariana said. He let out a little one but kept walking, even though he knew it had to be done it did hurt a little to break up with her. She didn't seem to be effected at all...he needed to talk to someone so he started in search of his sister.
Faye didn't even notice the boy either until he stormed out. She must have been so absorbed in her book that she didn't notice the fighting until it was already over. Jeez, how rude to break up with her with another girl in the compartment. How rude to fight in front of her. Jeepers, didn't these people know anything!
"Talk about rude...jeez, fight some where else would you." She said looking over at them and the boy left anyway. Holy moly, is this what Hogwarts was all about. Faye was in the middle of drama beforeshe had even been sorted!
He smiled gratefully at her and took the lap desk, the first quill that he reached and the black ink. "Thanks Nell." Unscrolling the parchment, he scowled at it before starting to write angrily. Yes, he was going to be short and harsh with his letter. A frown shadowed his face the whole time he was writing and his tongue started to poke out of his mouth as he concentrated.
Waving away his thanks Nell sat down in her seat. She had moved Soren's cage down next to her when she was getting the things out of her trunk and he sat in his cage with wide eyes. She opened the cage and allowed him to jump out and onto her knee. While petting Soren she watched Ed as he wrote his letter. She could tell it wasn't going to be a friendly one but she couldn't keep the smile from her face. He was sticking his tongue out he was so deep in concentration. It was adorable!
Nell went from looking out the window to looking out the compartment door. The people passing by amused her to no end.

It was most likely a case where she foolishly decided to fall in love--terrible decision really--and now she had somehow managed to get herself hurt. Though she would never say it aloud, the girl deserved to be crying for her stupidity.
Then Emm turned her attention to her. She felt her face go a bit pale. "Uhh...noooo....I have a cat named Felix and he's gone missing." She put on a nervous smile. "I couldn't actually have a kneazle you know because that wonderful," twitch, "shoopkeeper," twitch, "said they were too dangerous for children my age." And drat, yet another person that hadn't seen him. Where could he have gotten off to so quickly?!

She gave nice hugs, Bliss did. But then again... he hadn't really met anyone who didn't give nice hugs. And... what was a bad hug, anyways?
How long was he listening? "Erm..." he started, ruffling his hair, "I dunno... Maybe just a bit? I heard enough to know that you're good, though." At this, he nodded before grinning at her. "I... erm... how long have you been playing?" he asked, sitting back. Yeah... he was going to.. stay a while.
Eliza stumbled into the cart, spilling a notebook and some colored pencils onto the floor. "Great," she thought. "One second into the ride and I've already managed to be awkward." Bending over quickly, she shoved the contents back into her bag. Her hazel eyes flickered from one face to the next. Nope, no one she knew, but what did she expect - she was a first year.
She decided to sit next to the girl she had seen in the animal menagerie earlier. They hadn't spoken, but she recognized her feisty attitude for sure. She listened to the conversations happening around her and debated whether or not she should try to introduce herself to any of them.
"You're welcome!" Ella said, a small smile on her face. She BEAMed as Ari took yet another gummy worm. Heh. It was nice, this sharing candy with someone thing.
So she was right about the first year thing? Cool. "First year is great. You'll meet lots of awesome friends and it's so fun to explore everything." That had been Ella's favorite part, the exploring. Oh, and what was Hogwarts like? "It's so pretty...and really big. There are tons of things to see and do and...well it becomes home after a while." That was a good explanation, yeah? Ella hoped so. "Plus, the best part? The food is delicious!" Mhm! It totally was. "I'm a big eater...if you couldn't already tell." But that wasn't a bad thing, right? Meh. Ella ate another gummy worm while she waited for Ari's response.
Ariella giggled.
"I'm definitely looking forward to the exploring! That's going to be my favortie part!" Ari was looking forward to discover everything Hogwarts had to offer. Magical castles were much more interesting than muggle schools, or her fathers homeschooling, blah! "And I've met some friends too!" And then she whispered to herself, "And gotten into a bit of trouble..."
The food was good? That was a relief to hear! Some muggles from the town near by would always complain about the cardboard food they were forced to eat at school and it sounded dreadful! Ari knew she could trust this girl's opinion about the food though, because she offered Ari gummy worms so she must know what she was talking about, "That's good because I don't think I could live there for 8 or so months with bad food? My daddy told me that the house elves cook it!"

It kind of added the angry tone of the letter. He nodded once after reading it over and then rolled it back up and released his own beautiful owl from the pesky cage. Once it was tied securely, he fed her a treat and opened the window to let her fly out. He glanced at Nell "D'you want to let Soren out too?" Just before he closed the window.

Asher was tired of looking for his own compartment. And not seeing anyone he knew. He was about to go sat with a group of fifth year slytherins when he heard music... well guitar and singing. He followed it. Half running half jogging as he heard the singing stop.
He peeked into the next compartment. He was sure it was coming from there. He stepped in and seen Alec and a blonde haired girl holding a guitar. "Alec, hey bro." He smiles happily and crosses over to give Alec a fistbump. His eyes moved over to the girl now. "Hey I'm don't believe I know you." He smiles at her and puts his hand out. "Asher Romalotti. That was some nice music you had going there."

Nell looked up at the sounded of the window being opened. She looked down at Soren who could have been snoring if owls could snore. She giggled and shook her head. "I think he's okay. He seems perfectly content to sit here and be pet." The bird acted like he hadn't ever gotten any attention in his entire life. Either that or he was just really enjoying her extra attention.
"So what are you looking forward to most about Hogwart's?" It was always interesting to hear the answers that the first years gave so how would a seventh year respond?

Oh he had better not be regretting it. Aurora certainly didn't. In fact she was pretty damn satisfied with herself. She put her wand back in its holster and looked at Delilah for a second. Milton had been unfaithful to Aurora, hadn't he? She'd cried about it in the dorms for ages... Delilah pulled her legs up onto the seat, resting her hands on the tops of her feet, and leant her chin on her knee. Her frown was one of confusion and disbelief. But that means... that Aurora's suggesting... "How do I know you're telling the truth?" After all, Johnny isn't like Milton...

Bliss giggled as Alec ruffled his hair up, she'd begun to notice this as a nervous habit of his. Probably not his only one, but it's all she'd noticed. Her own weren't any less obvious she thought and hid behind her hair. "You..you really think..so?" Bliss stammered. Nervous habit numero two. Bliss wondered how long, just a bit was, but decided not to push it. He really thought she was good? "Thanks, that means a lot," she said and blushed. Urmm, how long? Let's see.."As long as I can remember," she said. "Pretty much as soon as I could hold a guitar." She answered truthfully, sitting back down next to her guitar and Twitch's cage.

So that means that if you're telling the truth, then Johnny... y'know... at his cousin's wedding, because you said you were going, too..." Delilah had felt very left out during that conversation...
