He knew people in Hufflepuff and so as the blonde boy wandered over to the Hufflepuff table he felt a little more like he was accepted there rather than the awkwardness at the Ravenclaw table. He didn't mind standing around in the sea of yellow, it didn't look too bad with the green he was now sporting.
Terry's eyes glanced over the table, taking in each individual one by one. He couldn't see anyone immediately that he recognised but there were so many people there it was hard to see who was who. He tried to look for Bliss but he didn't mind if someone else were to speak to him first. He was always up for making new friends but he started to think that he should really be talking to people back on his own table now, he needed company in the Common Room.
Right. Now just to wait for someone to acknowledge him. Or to see if the food appeared quite soon, he was really quite hungry and his stomach was just not staying quiet today. He was a growing boy and he had a growing appetite to match.
The tension eased as Emilia transitioned subjects. That was interesting, and something she took mental note of. Apparently something had happened, but she wouldn't press it. However, as he began to asked about her family, made a face. Her family was complicated and while she was close to her siblings that didn't mean it would have been a good idea to stay with them. "Well, my older sister is always traveling- literally a new location every week," she explained. "And my brother... well, my parents didn't want him to have charge of me," she said, closing the door on that topic.
Emi shot him a grin. "I make sure of it," she said, leaving that open to interpretation. She studied hard, but some of it just came naturally. "Oh really? I think I remember hearing that about them. How come, if you don't mind me asking," she said, propping her chin on a hand. A coy smile slipped onto her lips. "Thanks, I do try," she said with a regal nod. She had actually already started the research for it- she and her friends had intended to be animagi before graduating, now she was even more determined.
Will watched as Emilia made a face when he asked about her siblings, perhaps this was a touchy subject for her as well. How was it that within their first meeting that had already learned just which buttons not to push. He listened to her talk of her brother and sister. Her brother was the one that intruigued him but he knew not to ask. There was no way that he was about to get upset with her for looking too much into his family and then turning around and doing the same thing to her. "Well then" he paused for a moment, "Welcome to Hogwarts" he said summing up that conversation.
Istantly Will could tell that she loved her studies and took pride in her grades. There was something quite endearing about her reaction when speaking of her courses. "Well I only wish that I had your passion for knowledge" He told her with a laugh. As she asked about Defense Against the Dark Arts he shrugged his shoulders. "I'm not exactly sure, thats just been the focus of the school since its birth. Perhaps its the region that its located. The whole culture just has a much more tough and dark side to it than England does" He said thinking back to his upbringing. Everyone was taught to be tough and show no weakness. "I guess the arguable question is which school has to correct viewpoint"
If not for her gaze lifting from their feet, up toward the ceiling - or sky, rather, - for a moment, Delphinia wouldn't have even noticed they were headed for the Hufflepuff table. She wouldn't have noticed her peers wearing the same colored robes as Nathan. It was the banners that caught her eye.
Not that Delphinia cared which table they were going to sit at anyway, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, so long as he didn't leave her. And he wasn't. Her hand still held firmly in his slightly larger one, the Ravenclaw girl walked closely beside the Hufflepuff boy, letting him guide the way. In the background, among the chattering voices, Delphi heard the Headmistress's speech. Nothing about the train was said. She wasn't really sure why there would be anything said, really, but lack thereof didn't make her feel any better either.
"This is why I don't take muggle transportation.." Mumbled the girl, green eyes glancing around the table, though still practically glued to Nathan's side.

Awar tried to imagine herself playing Quidditch like a pro and just merely laughed at herself. "Nooo...I don't think so. Don't get me wrong, I loooove Quidditch, but I'm no good at sports!"
"Hmm I see, I might try out next year," Ari said thoughtfully, she had didn't know quite what to do yet. She could wait till next year to tryout, or tryout this year just to see what tryouts will be like, "If I tryout out this year it might be lot of work with all our homework and what not..."

For the last five to ten minutes, literally all Bliss had done was mess around with the plates and cutlery in front of her, that wasn’t much more that she could do, she hadn't all that many friends in Hufflepuff yet, even though she been there for over a year now. It didn’t matter too much, but she was getting a bit bored now. So far Hogwarts wasn’t living up to her Second Year expectations; she’d broken her wrist and was sat bored at the feast. Not her idea of fun. Bliss fiddled with her bandage and flinched as she touched the injured wrist, it still hurt a lot. She leant her arm back down on the table and resorted to looking around the hall for friends and she spotted one; her best guy friend, Terry! ”Terry! Over here,” Bliss called, standing up and waving in an attempt to get his attention.
Laura looked around suspiously and decided that now was the right time to sing a song for the new Headmistress she looked around before standing up, okay so people might think she was weird but she didn't really care and she was sure she was a good singer.
Laura suddenly started singing. "We've come so far and we've reach so high,
And we've look each day and night in the eye, And we're still so young and we've got to learn!"
Laura didn't know if too continue after that and wasn't her boyfriend Oakey suppost to be helping surely he could help her with this song.

Harlan nodded to herself once again telling herself to stop worrying.
Just then someone covered her eyes, earning a squeak. Guess who..? She frowned.. she obviously knew this person, or they wouldn't be doing this.. Unless they were confusing her for someone else.. but that was impossible. This was Harlan Etta Isaacs they were talking about, she was super fancy and all that.
Harlan concentrated again, it HAD to be one of her buddies. AND HE WAS A HUFFLEPUFF?! 'Logaaaaan?!' Harlan jumped up and turned around.
Logaaaaan! She grinned and hugged him happily.
When she made that squeak, Logan couldn't help but smirk. Hopefully she remembered his voice, since they had seen each other a few times already.
"It is me!" he exclaimed excitedly as she hugged him. Clinging to her a little, he noticed her hair smelled good.
"So we are in the same House I see." So exciting!!!
Alexa frowned a bit, great the only person she knew in this house was as unsocial as she was. "Well I can understand not being a huge people person." Alexa thought about Maxwell's next question. "Umm I guess I am. It will be nice to see others in a class, but I.. well I guess I'm just nervous is all. I have never really been near other kids before. I just hope I can fit in is all." She still wasn't sure if that was going to be possible or not.
Alexa smiled a little, this boy was interesting, maybe the most interesting so far. She then thought of the other boy at the platform, well maybe it was a toss up between the two. "Yeah I hope I meet some more people soon, but if I don't then I guess being an only child will come in handy." She looked around the hall, "Well yeah I can see where it's been kind of long sitting here. Have you found anything fun at the other tables?" Alexa wondered what fun he would find and wondered if maybe she could find some fun too.
Maxwell nodded. "Well, I'm sure you'll fit in just fine and you know if you don't feel comfortable you can always hang out with me. I get bored with them sometimes." He said referring to skipping without really saying so.

So how long was he going to have to stand here awkwardly and wait for his presence to be heard or seen or whatever. He was getting used to this though, the groups of friends and him, a new student, with less friends.
Oh wait!
He heard his name. Was someone calling his name? He looked around, wandering where the source of the voice was. And it hit him, along with a massive grin on his face.
"Hi Bliss" he wandered over towards her and sat down by her side. He had only been around for the Summer and on the train and already Terry thought he had found a good friend in Bliss. They had instantly hit it off, they seemed to have a good connection. He frowned down at her wrist however, realising that it was still bandaged up whichh clearly indicated that she was still in discomfort. "You really should sort that out you know?" Quickly, before it got any worse. There was a healer around here wasn't there? It shouldn't take too long.
When she made that squeak, Logan couldn't help but smirk. Hopefully she remembered his voice, since they had seen each other a few times already.

Harlan grinned at her friend, extremely happy to have him in the same house. This would mean nights of awesomeness, cause Logan had said that he was an awesome prankster. And he would teach her.. She smiled and let him go before sitting down again. 'I kneeeeew you'd be a Hufflepuff too!' Harlan nodded, she just knew that they had to be in the same house, whichever one it was.
Once she was seated she patted the bench next to her, waiting for Logan to sit down. 'Now we just need to know where your brother has been sorted!' Harlan squeaked nervously, hoping he would be a Hufflepuff too. It would make things even better than they already were..

Laura suddenly decided on the best song for the new Headmistress and she was going to make sure the Headmistress could hear her so she sung as loud as she could and hoped that the Headmistress like the song.
"Congratulations and celebrations
your going to be the best there ever was
Congratulations and jubilations
I want the world to know I'm happy as can be."

It was time. Time to go and greet his Hufflepuff's!
The Fat Friar emerged, beaming, from the centre of the table. Directly through the fruit bowl as a matter of fact. He hovered gently and looked up and down the length of the table. "Good evening Badgers! ....and non Badgers," quite a few non badgers it turned out. "Enjoying the feast I trust?!"

Alexa heard screaming..no..singing coming from her table and she looked down at the other students that she hadn't met. A single girl was singing as loud as she could. What was she singing, and why was she singing Alexa thought. She just looked at the girl not able to take her eyes off of her, because she never saw anyone just stand up and sing in a big group by themselves. Was this common at this school? Alexa felt like she had so much to learn and so much to figure out. She was never going to fit in with this group.

After listening to the singing girl Alexa heard someone speak and looked up to see A GHOST... She jumped and screamed a bit slipping again off her chair. Standing up and sitting down she looked at that the ghost, "I..I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scream. I..just have never seen a ghost before. Did you ask a question, so sorry I don't mean to ask you to repeat it, but could you please?"

Ella sat quietly, eyes on the table in front of her. The journey to Hogwarts had been quite an adventurous one and now that she was here, she was pretty tired. She did her best to smile at the new additions to the Hufflepuff family, knowing they would love being a badger just as much as she did. Her happiness was only stifled by the fact that she had yet to speak to her best friend Sophie, who was also sitting at the table. FROWN. She was also afraid to let her eyes wander over to the Ravenclaw table, mostly because she didn't know if a certain someone would be over there looking back. Meh.
Sitting up a little straighter, Ells smiled as the Fat Friar emerged. That was quite cool. "The feast is lovely." She said in response to the question, speaking more quietly than she normally would. It was lovely...and the food was always good...and she was glad to be back. She just wanted things to be better this term. They would be, yeah?
Awar thought about it, "But..we'll have homework next year too." She said raising an eyebrow.
"I know, but I would hope by next year everything is familiar too me! I still have to learn how to navigate around school, I would be to busy for quidditch.." But it was still something Ariella was for sure going to try, and maybe that Gobstone thing too.

Nathan needed food. And the pumpkin juice, his eyes searched for as soon as he entered the great hall. Hand still clutching Delphi's - he lead the girl to the Hufflepuff table.
The food was all the same on all the tables, right?
He shook his head lightly when she spoke: "Don't think about it. We need to eat!" he insisted, pulling her down with him to sit. Grabbing the jug of pumpkin juice at once, the sixteen year old poured it in her glass. "Drink."

"Yes. Yeeees. enjoying the feast" Olivia drawled. "Hey what's it like not having to eat, do you ever miss it?" Olivia asked, all of a sudden having a question.

"Nope I'm not enjoying this feast." Laura sighed. "Seriously, there is no music other than mind and the new headmistress should be welcome with some great music." Laura looked at the ghost. "Do you know any good one's?" Laura was sure the this ghost should know loads,
Laura suddenly saw a girl staring at her, did she have something down her top, Laura looked down and couldn't see anything so she smiled at the girl. "Is everything alright?"

Awar nodded as she listened to Ariella, but she got distracted when she saw a ghost floating over and greeting everyone. So, Manolo wasn't lying when he said there were ghosts at Hogwarts."Good evening, Friar!" She waved to the translucent being.
Alexa smiled a little, this boy was interesting, maybe the most interesting so far. She then thought of the other boy at the platform, well maybe it was a toss up between the two. Alexa wondered what fun he would find and wondered if maybe she could find some fun too.
Dylan smiled as she seemed to be a little more positive about meeting people, he looked around the hall. There were so many people, it would be hard NOT to meet more people.. even though they were new they would be sure to meet new people. Did she just say she might not? just when he thought she was being positive "Trust me I have only been around for two months and I have met quite a few Hogwarts students. We still have years to go, so you will meet alot more people" that was no fun being on your own.. him being on his own had taught him that
He saw her look around the hall as she agreed with him, he nodded.. it was boring.. maybe the staff should do something to make this feast more fun! He looked at her.. had he found anything fun at the other tables? "No I haven't.. but maybe we can find something fun to do. It can't be that hard" he looked at the tables.. there was food and people talking.. so many people.. they were all sitting together. Mm he could think of a couple of things.. they all had shoes.. mm.. he looked at Alexa.. but what if they got into trouble.. she would probably blame him for it.. maybe they would be able to find something else.
"You like to have fun too?" he asked curiously, were all the new students after fun just as he was? So maybe Max was right.. maybe this will be a really fun year, just let him have access to the school.. and he will be planning on what fun he could have. He had heard of the lake with the monsters in, the Whomping Tree thing.. oh the possibilities!
Dorian jumped at the sight of the ghost. I mean, he knew that ghosts existed, but he had never seen one in real life, and he was so entranced by the food that he was in his own little world.
"T-the feast is wonderful. I was really looking forward to it- well, not j-just the food, but school as well, but I was awful hungry. I'm n-not sure I'm set out to be a puff th-though if it means I have to stand up on the table." He giggled slightly. There was that boy earlier giving a welcoming speech, and now what appeared to be the houses own personal choir. His first year was DEFINITELY shaping up to be interesting.
