The classroom is as usual immaculate. The rows and chairs and everything is in perfect order but somehow the classroom seems so much bigger. That is because it has been expanded to fit a section section. This section has chairs like the ones you would see in a hair salon and hanging on the back of the chairs are aprons.
You know what to do when you enter the classroom, don't let the professor remind you or you really won't like it. She's in a foul mood because of the destruction of her precious annex.
... yeah, Vickers hasn't had partners yet and he was just talking to the professor. Nothing-- "Mhmm?" She blinked and turned her attention back to the boy who WAS WEARING A MULLET NOW. "Oh dear.. I'm sorry. Wait.. I can do this.. uhh.." kdjghssdkjfgh. She hesitated before running one hand over the loooong lock. "It feels nice though." A nervous chuckle echoed from her mouth before she cleared her throat and was all serious. Okay, fine. He didn't appreciate the very unique hairstyle. She tapped the top of his head and muttered, "Felintas." The spell they learnt in transfiguration.
"Um.. Okay.. let's just face the other way." So that her eyes wouldn't catch Vickers again. "One.. two... Cresco Capillus!" Moving her wand in that ripply motion and focusing on ALL of Ethan's hair and willing it to grow just a little under his earlobes. Her brow was furrowing so hard, you'd think she was frowning at someone or disapproving something... but really, she didn't want the poor boy to turn into a Rapunzel because of her!
GULP.
Ethan was sure the 7th year could sort it out.. but just in case she couldn't, the boy began imagining different scenario and hairstyles he might have to get used to.. or he could just cut it off, it couldn't be that bad. He raised an eyebrow to the comment. Nice? The boy ran a hand through his hair after Louisa did.. "I suppose.." he shrugged. "I don't think the style suits me though," the boy added with a chuckle. If only he had a mirror.. though it may be for the best that he didn't. Felintas? His eyes widened again. It wasn't Intaris as he learned at Beauxbatons? Apparently she was correct though as he ran a hand through his hair again and all seemed normal.
Ethan turned a bit in his chair as Louisa implored him to do so. He wasn't sure what that was about, but apparently something had distracted her before and he figured it would be best for her to focus. And focus she did.. Ethan watched her carefully again as she repeated the spell, this time with much more concentration. When she was finished, he ran a hand through his hair again.. it was about chin-length all around and he could feel it tickling the sides of his face. Tucking a little behind an ear, he tentatively smiled up at Louisa, "Seems better.. how's it look?" Again, no mirror..

Examining Vickers short hair she couldn't imagine him having longer hair, it was going to be interesting once she got it to work. "If it's alright with you I would like to practice saying it and practice the wand movement first." She watched others doing their wand movement and tried to copy how the professor did the wave with her wand. Once she felt comfortable doing the wand movement she looked at the word.. Cresco Caillus...no.no Creso Capillus.. no that's not it either...Cresco Capillus, yes.. that's it.. Cresco Capillus" Looking at Vickers she gave a small smile, "I think I'm ready to try if your ready for me to try on your head."
He shifts his gaze to his girlfriend, and for the briefest of moments he just sits there all stupid looking as a dreamy haze passes over him. "Yeah she's working with Ethan, and mostly because I dont want to do anything disastrous to her hair-- she's very sensitive about that." he mumbles with a hapless shrug, then looks up when Min asked a question-- not brave enough to do her hair first? This he will wholeheartedly agrees with, and he nods his head readily. Totally not really wanting to do anybody's hair other than his own, but he cant run from this-- he gotta man up and do well or face the consequences, blue hair or not.
"Please, practice as much as you want... " he replied to the Hufflepuff lass, although he tried to keep his twitches in check whenever she'd mess up with the spell pronunciation. He really does hope a side effect of getting a spell wrong didnt have anything happening to him thats excruciatingly painful or irreversible.

He also saw the stare he got, he was wondering what that was for? what had he done? he had been a nice guy to him... no reason to dislike each other Theodore. He then looked at Ella and smiled as she asked to be partners. "You not need ask, I would always love to be partners with you" he smiled and chuckled as she said that she would give him the best hair ever! "Well you couldnt exactly give" he then whispered the next part "your boyfriend" back to normal voice "Bad hair now could you? But I think you will do just fine!" he smiled as he thought about whoe would be going first.. well she was the smart one so best she went first.. right? yup! "Umm I think you had better gor first" he said smiling and besides he wasnt a fan of doing Ella's hair.. knowing that he would have to hers he was now nervous! She had perfect hair and he had to change it, he was never confident in his abilities and more so now than ever before. He just hoped that he would not ruin her hair completely and that he could change it back to normal.
Ella BEAMED at Harvey, nodding her head. She kind of knew as much but it was always polite to ask someone to be your partner, even if you knew the answer already. "Nope, couldn't give you bad hair...not being the hair enthusiast I am." And she giggled, shrugging her shoulders. When he agreed to let her go first, Ella grabbed him by the shoulders and steered him to the chair. "Alright you sit, I'll practice a bit." Cause really, she didn't want to mess this up.
So Professor Bellaire had said it was a ripply wave of the wand as far as the motion was concerned. Ella could do that easily enough. She picked up her wand and practiced in the air a few times, making sure her movements were fluid-like. After a few tries like that, she was ready to work on the incantation. "Cresco Capillus....Cresco Capillus...Cresco Capillus." That sounded right, yeah? "Cresco Capillus...Cresco Capillus...Cresco Capillus."
"Alright Harvs, I think I'm ready." Ella said, walking behind him and biting her lip nervously. Wait...no need for nerves, this was going to go great. Deep breath and ready. "Cresco Capillus!" Ella said seriously, making the fluid ripply movement with her wand. O___O WOAH! Harvey's hair was defenitely thickening out but the length wasn't getting much longer. Hmmm. "I think...well I think it kind of worked, does it feel thicker?" Cause it looked that way to her.

With those thougts OIchi watched in awe as the professor demonstrated the spell. She could not wait to try it. he quickly looked for a partner as she saw people forming bonds very qiuickly. She noticed a girl a bit younger than herself in the same house who was calling for a partne but no one picked her yet, "Hey, I'm Oichi, wanna be partners?".
In the middle of her looking some older kid came and blocked her view. She scowled up at the girl. Wasn't it obvious that she was busy looking?

The scowl disappeared almost immediately. "Hiya." Wave. "Sure I'll be you're partner. I'm Alexa." And who was this girl exactly? Why hadn't she noticed her before? Meh. Lex was as oblivious as you got. She didn't notice half the people here unless they directly affected her life in one way or another....okay so maybe she could recognized a few faces but no more. Nope.
"So do you wanna go first?" And do you have a brain? Important question. She couldn't have the spell going wrong! She may not have taken very much interest in her hair but she still liked it enough to want it to stay on her head!

Sierra grew sort of wide-eyed as she watched the professor begin the demonstration. She wasn't going to...? Oh, Merlin, she was! Sierra felt her breathing slow and the finally come to a complete stop altogether. She held her breath as she watched the librarian go from a full head of hair to complete baldness. She wondered if he knew...
...and then it was their turn to practice. Ermm. Sierra wasn't going completely bald for this. Nope. She'd just grow her hair even longer than what it already was. Her brown eyes peered around the room as she watched everyone start to partner up "Anybody still need a partner?" she asked.

Minerva smiled a little at the way he looked over at Louisa and she couldn't help smile towards Ethan. She tried to picture what Ethan would look like with long hair.. Cute of course she decided and turned back to Vickers. "Oh Vickers I don't think you would mess her hair up that much. I trust you.." She was always changing hers, so what was the worse he could do make it all fall out, she wasn't to worried.
Pulling her wand to face Vickers, "Okay, I'm ready, let's see how long should I make it.. Maybe you would look good with floor length." She couldn't help but giggle a bit, "Kidding Vickers... I just want it to work, that's all I'm trying for at the moment, then once I get the hang of it I might try for floor length." Making the wave movement with her wand she said the spell "Cresco Capillus" She felt she saw his hair grow, but not enough to take a full notice... Frowning she tried to think what she did, "I think it grew a little bit." Then she realized what she might have done, "I don't think I did the wand movement long enough, I'm going to try again if that is alright."

"Yeah, cool," Sierra said, giving the girl a shrug. She seemed far more like a Puffer and less like a Gryffindor, but then again, Sierra always seemed to think that Gryffindors weren't that far from Puffers personality-wise. They were all way too worried about friendships and helping others.
"Sierra Greingoth," she said, giving her own name, as well. She cast a glance toward the librarian, who'd been the professor's guinea pig sometime earlier. "We don't have to go bald like that, ...do we?" she asked. ...because she so wasn't cool with that.

He smiled as she beamed at him, it felt a little strange working in class with Ella but all the more it felt good! He would try to make sure that they did this more often, though the way Theodore looked at them.. maybe that wasnt a good idea.. he thought as he glanced at Theodore before looking back at Ella he smiled again "Ah yes of course being the hair enthusiast, it has to be good hair" he chuckled as he looked at her. The moment he told her she could go first she grabbed him by the shoulders and sat him in the chair "See your strong arms coming in handy" he said looking up at her and chuckling. He nodded as he waited while she practiced her wand movement and incantation, he knew that he would have to practice alot as well acuse he didnt want to mess up her hair at all.
He listened as she practiced the incantation a few times, just listening to her practice was enjoyable and he was so busy listening to her voice and not taking anything she was saying in that he almost missed her saying that she was ready. He nodded that he was ready too! He then heard her say the incantation and he suddenly felt a strange feeling of.. increased mass .. was it? He listened as she asked that it may have worked, he felt his hair and nodded "Yeah it does feel thicker.. so I guess it worked.. or you gonna try again" he asked her before he had an idea "Hey you have a touch of it.. does it feel thicker to you?" he asked knowing that she would be able to tell since she knew what his hair was like before and would feel the difference now that she had cast the spell.

So she was right, but in this case that was actually a bad thing. She didn't want anybody touching her hair at all. This was not ok. She never really liked working in partners because frankly you just couldn't trust people. Sigh. She knew that she was just going to have to get over it.

Gideon didn't hear an answer to his own question, but he did hear someone else asking for a partner themselves. He turned in the direction the female voice had come from and noticed a young Slytherin was its owner and the prefect made his way over to her.
" I'm still looking for a partner. If yer willing to pair up with me that is? " He did know some were not so comfortable working with other students or those of opposite gender. Or just plain strangers for that matter.

She could live with a Shrug, a shrug from a Slytherin was practically being friendly! Thea nodded and smiled at Sierra.
"It is nice to meet you." Might as well be all nice and Gryffindor like, especially since she was rather new around here.
She followed Sierra's gaze over to the Librarian and she shook her head. "No, that was just a demonstration. I am pretty sure we can just practice on our own existing hair length." She eyed the girls long hair..
"Would you like to practice on me first? I've got several inches before it hits my waist, it would give you some good practice." and she would get long hair! It was a win win really..
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.

Hair growing charms really as if he hadn't heard enough of it from Alec, Theo, Messer, and Mordy. He shrugged his shoulders at the idea and looked around quickly to see if he could spot anyone that he would want to partner up with or at least needed a partner. "Daichi!" Oakey said as he stepped closer to the Slytherin. "You're partnerless, I'm partnerless. You were a mess this class and I was in the last one." which was an understatement since Mordy practically broke his nose. "It's a partnership that was fated to be." He had a huge smile on his face and slapped a hand on Daichi's shoulder.
Oakey was exceptionally happy today. Probably because it was certain special day for him and not even a grumpy charms professor could ruin it for him. "How about it?" Oakey continued pressing him for an answer. "I'll even let you go first."

Anya looked around. Yeah. This was not the best time to not have a partner. The last thing she needed was a firstie. That... would be tragic. Not that she was overly superficial.
Then her eyes landed on a snake that was almost the same age. She'd do.

Anya looked around. Yeah. This was not the best time to not have a partner. The last thing she needed was a firstie. That... would be tragic. Not that she was overly superficial.
Then her eyes landed on a snake that was almost the same age. She'd do.

Doodling on her parchment.. That's what Ariana was doing when she heard a name. She looked up "Wha.. Oh.. Hi." she looked at her robes.. Gryffindor. grumble. Figured that a lion would try to speak with her. then again, everyone should try to speak with Her She was Ariana Logan. She was awesome and perfect and everyone should love her & want to be her of course.
the Lion liked her hair, Of course she did. Ariana ran her hand through it. "Of course you do." yes because she was PERFECT. but the girl kept on speaking.... and wait. did she just ASSUME Ariana would be her partner.. Uhm No no child Ariana called the shots here. not little ickle Lions.. Ariana raised an eyebrow and eyed the girl as if she gone mad, obviously she had.. Maybe she was sick and needed to see that awful healer lady.
She looked around the room, everyone was partnered already.. So she was stuck with the baby cub. "Ariana." she said to the girl. She didn't need to know her last name. her last name was cool and cool people called her Logan.. She didn't get to call her Logan.. Not after that intro. She stood up, "You can work on my hair first. But im telling you little Lion Cub if you ruin my hair i'll ruin your life."
The young Ravenclaw practiced the spell a few more times to herself before looking for a partner more dilligently.
Cresco Capillus...Cresco Capillus...Cres-co Ca-pil-lus... That seemed about right. She saw that a lot of the class already had partners. Maybe it's because I'm young. They think I won't be able to do the spell right. She shuffled her feet a little, kicking herself in her mind for not nabbing a partner sooner. She walked to an open area and looked around awkwardly.
In an unsure voice, she asked aloud, "Um...does anyone still need a partner?" She went over the spell a few more times in her head while she looked around the room.

She knew Gryffindors we're brave, her best friend was one, but THIS, this was a new kind of bravery that she hadn't seen before and this lion cub well. she really didn't know Ariana at all. Shaking her head she walked over to a chair as the girl spoke, calling her snake. She chuckled and shook her head at the name. "whatever you want." because your putting EVERY SINGLE hair back in it's place when your done girl.
Yeah, you better practice this charm little one, because if she did one thing wrong or damaged her hair indefinably.. Ariana would have no problem introducing the girls face to her fist. though she was lucky ariana was in a good mood today or she would of already met her fist.. with those snide remarks of hers. Where did kids like this come from!? She wondered as she sat down crossing her arms mumbling something non important to herself.

At least he seemed to have gotten a willing partner, not one who felt like they were settling, a gentle smile sent his way. The prefect badge probably helped in that respect rather then harm if Gideon had honestly thought about it. No person that was going to fool around with their work and actually take everything seriously.
"Aye...I promise not to harm," he promised her, nodding to agree to the option of leading off. Surely not with him going first she would be more confident of nothing going wrong because then she could simply turn the tables on him later. "I'm Gideon by the way," the seventh year introduced offering a friendly smile. He slipped his wand from his pocket so he could perform the spell upon her hair, taking a few moments to run the spell in his head to make sure it was right.
"Cresco Capillus..." he finally cast, his wand moving slowly in the waving ripple movement. His concentration on it so it didn't get out of hand. No need for a new Rapunzel of Hogwarts...right? Unfortunately he only got it an inch at first. "Cresco Capillus!" he tried once more far more successful this time around. Gideon let it grow a few inches before stopping the movement, inwardly sighing with relief when it stopped growing in answer. "How is that?"

He watched her as she stood in front of him with her hands on her hips, he had never seen her standing like that so it was kinda.. amusing for him. He nodded "Yeah its fine with me if you wanna try again. Yeah I think you are right Ella I think you will do better" he smiled as he watched her, wondering what she would think of him with long hair.. Mins had seen him with long hair before when she changed his hair but Ella hadnt seen him in long hair.. though she had seen him in a pink mohawk. He remembered thinking how pretty she had been back then even if he hadnt admitted it to himself. He chuckled as she agreed to ruffle his hair, he knew that she would love it giving her any excuse to touch his hair. "Thats good then, means you on the right track" he said as he nodded "Ok.. go for it... ummm yeah.. my turn" he said hoping that he would do a good job at it, he loved her hair as it was right now and wasnt sure he wanted it to change but they did have to practice on each other so this needed to be done.
He nodded as she stood behind him and asked him if he was ready "Ready" he said to her as he heard her say the incantation and he felt a new sensation this time of.. heaviness.. and he felt something on his back and neck.. and was sure it was his hair.. he smiled knowing that she had most probably done it! He smiled and nodded "Yeah I think it did too! Hows it look? New look for Harvey? or is the old look better?" he asked wanting to know her opinion on his new long hair.

Anya followed the Snake over to one of the saloon type chairs. Alright. Cresco Capillus. ...why couldn't she have taken Latin in primary school? It was so hard to remember the pronunciation of all these spells.
Oh well. The worst she could do was blow the Snake's hair up. And seriously. The look on her face would probably be worth the punch and no doubt detention.
That would be her back-up plan. If she couldn't get this hair growing spell thingy to work right.
Anyway.
"Cresco Capillus." she said while making the wavey wand move. ...was the middle section supposed to be growing faster? Because. That's what was happening.
She stopped waving her wand and grinned. "That's actually pretty cool. It kind of looks like an arrow."
Yup. Because. You know. She totally meant to give it that... layered look.

Not that that made Kurumi a follower per say, she knew how to stand on her own two feet and all, but it was just interesting how the Gryffindor found herself connecting with strong females. Maybe it was her trying to bring out those qualities in herself.
And she was getting WAY too sentimental over Vivi just dragging her across the classroom.
"Um...there were two hair altering spells we did in Transfiguration. One for color and one for style. Neither of them worked. Still don't," she admitted in a low whisper. "That...could be. I mean, I'm not in control of my abilities by any stretch of the imagination yet. I'm trying...but it's coming slowly." And not likely going to be fixed in the span of this lesson either. Kurumi had always had a mental block when it came to being a metamorphagus and that came from her relationship with her mother. She was MUCH better at controlling things than she had been in her earlier years - except when she was around Lewis, but he liked and encouraged things - but still not where she wanted to be at.
Kurumi took her own wand out and began to practice the wiggly movement Professor Bellaire had demonstrated earlier. The trick seemed to be to make your wrist loose for this particular movement. After a few more practices, Kurumi glanced at Vivi. "Oh, well there is the Trimming Charm that we use in Herbology sometimes. That should work for your hair. Much easier and safer than the Severing Charm in this situation anyway."
Kurumi bit down on her lower lip anxiously. "That mean you are ready to give this a go?"
