Leaving the door to the classroom ajar to allow the warm September breeze to flow through the classroom from one of the open windows, Professor Marion Burbage has set up a table next to the door with rows of Muggle soda bottles of various flavors lined up along with empty plastic cups. The professor is currently seated and looking over two photographs that you cannot make out just what of in the front of the classroom.
Beside the display of two-liter pop bottles is a seating chart of the classroom and a note that reads:

"BUT, before we get into that...I have one more studmuffin to introduce you all toooooooooo," she hummed as she levitated the second picture off the desk and enlarged it as well. "Now, who can tell me who thiiiiiiiiiiiiis is?!"

After this man was identified aaaaaaaaaaaaall would become clear - even though certain daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarlings had already pinned the tail on the abraxan.
So a studmuffin was a male who was popular with the girls. Well, one thing was for sure. He was not one... or else Indy wouldn't have said no when he asked her out. Siiigh.
But apparently Vindy and Scabior were studmuffins in the Professor's mind...which he could not see why but...oh well. He sipped from his orange soda again until a new questions popped up. "Professor? Does that mean that Mr.Duckles is a studmuffin too? Cause he's a male and girls like him! They are all going like 'awww' when they see him! And they always want to pet him!...and my hair...which is not cool! " His eyes turned big and excited before unzipping his school bag and pulled the plush ducky out of it to show her who he was talking about.
As the class continued, the Slytherin decided to lay his plushy on his lap and began to write.

Elise beamed at Nessie gratefully, taking the newly opened bottle from her and pouring herself a cupful. And she sipped. "Thank you," she said. She couldn't open it herself, so Nessie opening it for her was awesome.
Turning to look at the professor, Elise grinned. She recognized this guy. Yup. He was Sir Isaac Newton. Almost raising her bad arm, she remembered just in time. So she just raised her right arm, and beamed.
"It's Sir Isaac Newton. He was the first scientist to ever be knighted!" she grinned. And that was cool. Sip. And sip a little more.
Oooh, the laws of motion! Elise loved those! She'd read them. Somewhere. She couldn't remember. But she remembered the words! So quickly grabbing a parchment and setting her quill atop it, she mumbled as it wrote.

Yeah. So, looking back up at the professor Elise frowned as she squinted at the picture. It looked familiar. Then, it dawned on her.
"It's Robert Goddard. He invented the liquid-fuelled rocket," she said. "He was only really appreciated after his death, though. It's saaad." Why were these people always dead already? Elise would seriously looove to go up to them and ask them how they did this stuff.

Hmmmmmmm-ing some more as she tapped her chin with her fingers for a moment, Professor Burbage paused for a moment when the girl began to CHEW on her cup. "Dear, it is not polite to chew on one's cup in public."

Marion began to giggle rather girlishly, perhaps a little toooooo girlishly for a 70-year-old woman. NO MATTER!
"Well dear, a studmuffin is a man who is very VERY VERY attractive to women. They can also be described as being extremely cute and cuddly." Much like he was. She just wanted to scoop the eager little darling up and squuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuish him.
"Oh siiiiiiiiiiiimply marvelous, dear!" she applauded loudly, showering him with ridiculous amounts of gold sparkles. "Sir Isaac Newton was indeed a wizard, and a very talented one." Hopefully his classmates were taking notes, because she wasn't going to repeat the historical context again. She DID have other things she needed cover and a very brief overview was more than enough for now.
And then the little darling was back to rockets. "Yes, yes dear, rockets," she added with a wink in his direction.
She then turned her attention to the fanged girl sitting next to him. "Dear, perhaps you should finish off the rest of his soda? I doooooooo believe the young man is about to blast off into orbit all on his own."
That was kind of objective, in Aspen's opinion. For all the Professor knew, Aspen had been hexed and had to file her teeth down every day. Wasn't it rude of HER to point it out? Or maybe Aspen was sharpening her teeth as part of a vampiric ritual? Or, the truth, which was she was messing with Elijah? It was perhaps wrong, but was it rude? This is what Aspen thought about while she sipped soda and continued to watch Elijah squirm.
...Burbage REALLY believed that? That West was a rocket?
Haha teehee senile old lady. Aspen thought about levitating her brother to make Burbage's dreams come TRUE, beliefs into REALITIES.
It was funny to her and she laughed to herself, but she didn't deprive her baby brother of soda. He could have all he wanted.

Seeing as he was clearly wrong with his answer being Xenophilius Lovegood Oakey figured he could just move on with the class and stay quite letting everyone else Professor Burbage's difficult questions. But, she had to ask him why he believed it to be him. "Well, it's his hair. You know the long white flowing hair that reaches his shoulders." Oakey pointed his finger to the large floating image above them. "Xenophilius Lovegood also had that hair, from the pictures I saw of him, and they have the same nose too I guess."
After he had explained himself for his foolish answer Oakey quickly jotted down he notes that she wrote on he board, while everyone else answered her question about the new person she enlarged for them.

Astronomy was one of the classes that made Ari feel stupid. She rarely knew what was going on, and consequently, rarely attended those classes. This time, she just went to check out the new Professor, which, crazy as she was, made her smile a bit. Of course, as someone with little knowledge of either Astronomy or Muggle inventors, Ariadne had never heard of Isaac Newton before. But she also doubted that he had EVER been popular with women. Wait a second. Did the new Professor just imply that Vindictus was attractive? Mental.
And yet another weird guy, only with less hair this time. But Ari knew who this was! Why? Because she had seen a picture of him in one of the books at her mum's bookshop while working there the previous summer. She was lucky enough to remember the name, so she put her hand up. 'That must be Goddard.' There was nothing else she could add to that. Not even a first name that she could recall. Well, it was more than her usual contributions to Astronomy classes.
Serenity had no idea who the first guy was, and she was just as clueless about the second. If they were learning about muggle things then why was she at a magic school? I mena what was up with it? She stared blankly and shook her head. Though she did follow the Professor's orders of continuing to sip away at her soda. That she could do.
"Exactly right, dear!" she exclaimed, clapping her hands together loudly. Now, where had she put her wand so she could give the girl a proper congratulations? It was here in one of these pockets...

Oooookay. Now the woman was bringing out another... 'Studmuffin.' What the hell? Might as well go with it.
"Prooooofesssssoooorrrr...." She imitated the woman's singsongy voice after being called on. "It's most certainly Robert Goddard." She answered matter of factly.
Another "studmuffin," huh? She sure liked using that word. Weird, but she seemed nice enough. As soon as notes appeared on the board, Silvia began copying them down. By the time she looked up, the professor was already showing another picture.
She didn't recognize the picture, but she was sure it had to be some sort of scientist, either an astronomer or physicist. So instead of raising her hand and making a guess, the young Claw just listened to her classmates' answers. Robert Goddard? Yes, that name did seem familiar. She wrote the name down on her parchment, along with a few points about him that were mentioned. Every now and then she took a sip of her soda.

Okay. Now. The other dude? "That's a physicist and a GREAT inventor, Professor," she said with a very sweet smile, after raising her hand. The name, well, the name didn't seem important at the moment. And she didn't know it.
"Excuse me, dear, I would appreciate it if you would be so kind as to pay attention to your classmates and their answers." Instead of staring at your cup. Odd little Hufflepuff.
Sophie blinked and quickly looked up when she noticed the professor was talking to her. "I'm sorry, ma'am." She said, pushing the cup and bottle to the side and pulling out some parchment from her bag.
Once everything was written on the board, Sophie got her quill again and copied down everything that was written there. Her thoughts, though, were elsewhere once more. She did look at the other picture they were shown, but she had no idea who that was. The badger put down her quill and placed her elbow on the desk, resting her chin on her hand as she moved her eyes around while the others replied.
Rocket man? That was a bit interesting. Maybe Odessa's idea of making rockets with those bottles was accurate... Merlin, that boy was quite clever!

That actually made the thirteen year old chuckle. She turned her head to face him and gave him a smile. Good one! Sophie finally opened her soda bottle and filled her cup. She sipped from it while looking around as others gave their answers.

Emmaleigh listened as the professor confirmed that it was in fact a photo of Newton, and as she explained why she had brought him up, but not really why they need to know the three laws for today’s class. Em hastily scribbled down the notes. And looked back up at the next photograph. She hadn’t recognized the man from the picture, but it seemed that most of the others did. The girl raised her hand, “Goddard was considered to be the father of modern rocketry. He is known for the first liquid-fuled rocket, as well as applying steerable thrust, gyroscopes and three-axis control to rockets." When she finished speaking, she finished what had to be her 7th or 8th cup of soda.

Now as the second man was revealed, Gideon had to admit he wasn't altogether familiar with him. So he stayed quiet as those who apparently did raised their hand to answer. Rocket man... he heard one boy comment. That would explain it. He wasn't all too deeply into the more modern muggle scientists involved in astronomy. Then he would certainly learn something this class, a better thing then actually correcting their last professor. The prefect continuing to listen and jot down information as the class discussed, drinking from his soda.
Sip...sip.
However hearing Selina's answer, he couldn't help but stop and raise his eyebrow. Smashing mustache...handsome lad?!

Logan sipped some of his orange soda as the Professor continued to talk. As the writing suddenly appeared, hebstarted taking notes as the Professor kept talking. As soon as he was finished, he raised his hand. "Isn't that Robert Hutchings Goddard? He created and built the first liquid-fueled rocket." Which was cool because rockets were awesome.
Losing points. Wrong answers. Trying to be funny, and FAILING. LOSING POINTS!
The vein on his forehead throbbed a little. He blinked at his bottle -- which was more than half empty -- and calmed himself. Could he have a word with them all? Like NOW?
Probably not, so he settled for sending reprimanding stares at those snakes with not-so-clever-non-related-answers-to-Astronomy.
Uncle Sylvester, really?...Well, know that Kennedy studied the photo a tad more that man...he sort of resembled his grandfather. Meh. He raised his hand to volunteer his answer. "I believe that's Robert Hutchings Goddard," he said, then began jotting down notes.

Dora was observing and absorbing everthiiiiing and not even trying to give a response to the questions.
Mostly she was absorbing the varieties of sodas in front of her. She had filled a few cups with different flavors and was taste testing each since she never got to have much soda. They were actually gooood, and she was almost out of the dark one, which was okay since she still had orange soda left.
But she was also observing all her classmates and the old lady professor and the interesting path this lesson was taking. Between the muggles on the moon and the burping and the professor.. she could sit in this lesson all day.

Yep. It was official. Presley was going to hate this woman and this class. Normally she liked astronomy. But what she didn't get was how everyone else was smiling like she was some sweet old lady. Presley wanted to shout at her to shut up already! She rolled her eyes as the teacher put up the next picture. As if they wouldn't know. She raised her hand "Robert Hutchings Goddard." She stated with an almost-air of calling the teacher a moron, without it being that obvious. If she didn't have a goal to take every single OWL test and pass it, Presley would already be out of this dumb class.

Harvey was just quietly listening and taking notes whenever necessary, though he couldn't understand why the professor insisted that these.. men were studmuffins. Maybe she found them to be studmuffins but he was sure that the rest of the class would not find them to be studmuffins, perhaps she could stop calling them that. It would be easier on those who actually wanted to learn and not be told how studmufastic these men were. Ok so they had established that the first guy was Isaac Newton.. so this guy too would have to be someone in the same field as him right, and they were in the astronomy lessons so something to do with Astronomy. But he had no idea who this guy was so he just listened to what others were saying and noted down the name that came had him. He just couldn't believe some of the answers that the youngters were coming out with nowadays.. now this young hufflepuff had the right idea.. at least she had a sensible answer. Yes this guy could in fact be a former headmaster of Hogwarts.
