Slides, swings, and other things, the playground rests on the free grounds overlooking the lake. The clever design, Mr. Murdoch says so himself, is slightly similar to Hogwarts, and just like the castle, the playground comes with surprises of its own. The ladders disappear, the roundabout moves on its own and the dragon-shaped spring rockers will try to throw you off. Don't worry if it succeeds, though, Waylon has placed protective charms along the grounds so no injuries happen.
He wouldn't want the Healer mad at him, after all.

But she was feeling a lot better about this stuff again.
"How're you?" she asked as the blood rushed from her head back into the rest of her body and she pushed her hair back into place.
Her answer made the ends of Kimalia's lips twitch in laughter. It had been a while since Kimalia talked with Aurora, though she could see how stressed she had been, and then after talking with Kennedy.. The least Kimalia could do was let her sleep her worries away. But now she was up and about, she dove right into it. "So... I've heard about what happened with you and Kennedy.." Kimalia said slowly, watching to see if it was still a sore thing to talk about. "You wanna talk about it?" She only heard one side, after all.. plus she wanted to make sure it wasn't her fault for telling her to talk with Kennedy about her problems, you know.
The least she could do though was answer her question. "I've been fine, had a few eventful stuff happen." Like getting stuck in a tree during class, but besides being yelled at by the teacher, it was actually kind of fun. "But enough about me, spill." She was forward like that, yep. Kimalia could share her own stuff later anyways.
Damon looked at her, "Just as bad..." His free hand clenched into a fist, which shocked him. Damon was a pacifist, didn't believe in violence... But Maxwell not only insulted the girl he loved, but his best friend, his cousin, and his sister...

Ah, so they were going to talk about that... eek. Well... where to start. "Um, yeah. I thought you might've... I wasn't exactly subtle about it, was I?" she said, sighing a bit. Then again... she might have found out from him. "How's Kennedy..?" she asked quietly. Mainly because she felt like she should... she wasn't sure she really cared to be honest.
Eventful..? "Oh tell me!" Take the attention off me... Oh. Spill... Right. "Oh... erm. Well..." She thought about it for a second. "Well... Kennedy... he was acting so different over the summer and... and getting jealous about Milton and Jonathan and... it felt like he didn't trust me." she said quietly, swinging her feet. She wanted to know about the break up, right? Well there. That was that right..? "And we just argued massively and I said... that we couldn't fix it anymore and that I was sorry and I left." She shrugged...
She looked at him, "How?" Tay sighed and wiped her tears, "I just want to go to Auntie's but Mother might yell at me if i leave school but i dont want to be here right now."

Ella walked to the playground, determined to finally get a chance on the swings. She had come pretty close last time only instead, she'd nearly killed Sarah...awkward. This time would be better, though! No people laying quietly on the ground and Ella was paying close attention to where she was walking. All good signs.
Once she arrived at the swings, Ella sat down and a wide grin appeared on the second year's face. Hopping on to the nearest empty one, Ella began pumping her legs as hard as she could, wanting to get up high in the air. Once she was high enough, she let go of the chains and felt herself flying through the air, landing on her feet with a hard *thud.* Swings were the best.
"Well, it's a weekend, she wouldn't be to horribly mad would she? If you had, oh I don't know, say a cousin who could easily sneak you out if you truly wanted to get away from here." He smiled kindly, "Because I'm sure he wouldn't have a problem doing that."
Tay looked at him with hope, "Would you... please?" She smiled sweetly at him, doing the puppy dog eyes. "A certain girl would be pleased if her cousin sneaked her out."
He chuckled pulling out his invisiblity cloak, sliding it on over himself, holding the side opened from her, "Well then, madam by all means, let us leave this horrid place!" He smiled at her.

Kimalia shrugged, "Well.. I didn't realise, until I ran into him.." She probably would've never known otherwise. Quidditch Tryouts and classes had always kept her busy. How was he? "He was hurting.. but he's doing a little better now.. I think him going for Quidditch is a good release for him" Since it was most awesome way to spend time away from all the sad stuff. She could hear Aurora trying to get out of telling, but Kimalia got it her way first for now. Looking at Aurora, she wondered if she felt the same as he did with her post-breakup.
Nodding slowly as she listened, this was quite hard to tell her. How Kennedy felt like she didn't trust him, and now Aurora feels he couldn't trust her.. Well then, no need to tell her then if they feel the same way about each other. Maybe it was for the best with having them end.. Only if Aurora was really okay with it then. "So.. that's it then.. no more you and Kennedy." Kimalia then said. "Unless you both become friends again that is." Whether that works out or not. But enough about that, "So then, that leaves you with only Milton and Johnathan to worry about." Recounting her last ranting, "They still haven't given you trouble though, right?"
Kimalia then breathed a sigh, retelling what had happened with her lately. "Well, during Divination.. I got stuck in a cart with a younger Ravenclaw girl." Frowning slightly, "The boys were suppose to push us to the finish line, but we somehow ended up flying into a tree." Now looking back at Aurora, "I don't get it, I've been getting into these accidents outside of Quidditch lately." And that was not cool, for Kimalia. "At least the holidays will be passing us by soon.. though that reminds me, what are you doing for the break?"
Maxwell sat on a swing at the playground, he'd been feeling very hurt since he and Taylor broke up and he'd been a mess...spending time alone, it wasn't like him.

"At least the holidays will be passing us by soon.. though that reminds me, what are you doing for the break?"
Oh, so maybe it hadn't got around as much as she thought it had. That was good at least - she couldn't really be bothered with explaining herself a million times to a million different people - and that was kind of inevitable with a break up... wasn't it? "I didn't mean to hurt him that much, you know." Aurora said with a slight frown. "I mean... I didn't think it would have got to the point where he made an effort to avoid even looking at me..." Though she supposed she hadn't exactly been gracious about it... seeing as she had immediately run into Milton's arms for comfort - though that was an accident... but she didn't think anyone was going to believe that. Especially not now.
No more you and Kennedy... Something about the way she said it made Aurora's heart skip a beat... she hadn't thought about it like that. One year and seven months of "Aurora And Kennedy" and now... Well, it was different. "Yep, that's it..." she replied, hiding the sudden feeling of guilt that had grasped her. She knew it would go away soon - it always did. "I really don't think that's going to happen..." Especially when he found out about Milton - she had broken any last modicum of liking between them yesterday... and Kennedy didn't even know yet. Trouble? Eep. "Um... not exactly. I mean, I've hardly seen Jonathan..." And as for Milton... Aurora got the feeling that, if she voiced her last encounter with Milton, Kimalia might slap her or something.
Aurora frowned in confusion... "Wait, what? Why were you in a cart in Divination?" she asked. Aurora didn't take Divination but she was pretty sure it was supposed to be all orbs and tea leaves and stuff... not carts... Huh? Some boys let her best friend fly into a tree? That was not good news for them if Aurora ever found out who they were... Then again, she knew Kimalia could look after herself... so maybe it was best to let her deal with it. "Maybe you need some Felix Felicis to get you out of your bad luck stuff?" she said with a grin. Aurora had never made it on her own... but her mother had let her help once. Still, she wasn't about to do it again - it could be dangerous if you got it wrong. Ah, Christmas... "Well, I'm playing in the band at a Ceili that my family is hosting." she said, smiling excitedly. It was going to be awesome - Ceilis were fabulous! "But I think, mostly, I'll be trying to avoid whatever punishment my Mother thinks is suitable for talking to Kennedy about her work..." Aurora's face fell... she had totally forgotten how much trouble she was in for that... damn.

"Yeah, it's really Cornelius," he confirmed with another soft chuckle, attempting to go faster by kicking the ground off the side of the roundabout. As Paulie suggested that he sounded like a Roman general, he looked up with honest amusement on his expression, letting out another laugh and a grin to match. "Well thanks, but I don't think that's where my parents were going with it," he admitted, still trying to go faster on the roundabout that was being ridiculously slow in his eyes. "I think it's some kind of old family name, actually. He might've been a general, though." He let out another laugh before looking up to suddenly find Paulie in front of him.
And not only was he right in front of him, but he was suddenly starting to whirl the roundabout around! THIS HEAD BOY WAS A MIND READER!
"If I had a weak stomach, I'D BE A WEAK GENERAL!" Cornelius replied jokingly, though it came out more like a yell because he was quickly gaining speed on the roundabout, releasing the little handles and instead spreading out across the thing so he looked more like he was surfing on it than anything else. GENERAL CORNELIUS!
"WHERE DOES PAULIE COME FROM?" he called over the wind being generated from all of this playground surfing.
Cornelius. It really was a cool name. Paulie gave a nod and shrugged when Cornelius said that it was more of a family name than a general's name. "I guess that sounds right. It kinda does sound like a family name.. like, an older name." Because really.. how many people were named Cornelius anymore?
He laughed and shoved the railings faster and faster and faster and faaaassssttteeerrrrrr. He liked the General's thinkin'! Weak stomach = weak general. "CANTERBURY 'TILL I WAS FIVE!" Paulied yelled over the rushing wind. The Gryffindor took two fast strides and grabbed onto one of the railings. As he was whipped around like a ragdoll, like added, "THEN HEMBURY 'TILL... NOW!" 'Cause now, at this moment, Hogwarts was home.
His lips separated in a smile as his eyes stared out at the blur of indistinct trees and grounds and castle and... colors. With his eyes getting pretty dry from the dazed staring, he finally snapped out of it and scrunched his eyelids together. Yeah, he was gonna be DIZZY.
He took a breath of air and hopped off the spinning roundabout, which, of course, caused him to tumble onto the ground, as expected. Leaning back on his palms, Paulie lobbed his head back as the world still rushed around in front of his eyes. "And where are YOU from, General?"

Violet face fell in a frown when she heard Maxwell announce the news to her. "I'm so sorry, Max." It might have been hard for him, but she didn't exactly understand how he managed to split with her and Taylor. "What happened? You guys were so close..I mean.." Violet stopped, got up from the swing and went over to hug him and hope she can comfort him.

Ella stood up from the ground after having jumped off of her seat mid-swing and dusted herself off. GRIN. Swinging was always fun, no matter how old you got. That was a fact. Sitting down once again, Ella pumped her legs, making the swing go as high as she could make it without flipping. The second year had a smile plastered to her face as she continue to swing.

Ella grinned when she heard a familiar voice calling out to her. It was Justin! She hadn't seen him around much since last term but was quite fond of him, him having been so nice to her during her first year. "Having a BLAST!" She yelled, letting go of the chains and launching herself off the swing as she finished answering him. She landed lightly on her feet in a crouched position, right in front of Justin's feet. O_o Good thing she hadn't knocked him over! But wait-Did he say he'd never been on a swing before!? WHAT! Her mouth gaped open and her eyes grew wide, clearly shocked. "Justin, you've never been on a swing?" That was just the craziest thing she'd ever heard. "Of course I'll teach you, I'd be happy to. Swinging is so fun." She added cheerfully. "If you want, you can sit on the swing I was using and I'll push you a bit so you can get a feel for it?"

Justin looked at his feet when she asked him about having never been on a swing.
" No.... Never been on a swing except to sit on one. " then she said she'd love to teach him and a wide smile crossed his face. " You will? Thanks , Ella. I'd love for you to teach me....But don't push me too high. " he said as he blushed lightly. He looked at her and saw the sweet girl that he befriended last term.

Ella smiled. D'aww, was he embarrassed? There was nothing to be embarrassed about! Plus, he was going to learn to swing now, so no worries, yeah? When he requested that she not push him too high, she nodded, smiling. "I won't, I promise." And with her promise, her pinky finger was extended towards the boy, a look of expectation on her face. Ella didn't make promises without the use of her pinky. Pinky promises meant business and were of the utmost importance as far as Ella was concerned. Once he took it, they could continue.
Once the promise was taken care of, Ella waited for Justin to sit and then walked behind him, a small smile playing on her lips. "Okay, now I won't push you too high but I want you to get a feel for the swing. Just make sure you hold tight to the chains, okay?" And she leaned to the side, giving Justin a reassuring smile. She then began to push him, the second year gently pushing his back so that he began to swing. After a few minutes, she stepped away, letting him go on his own for a bit. "How do you like it?" She asked curiously.
