Oliver opened his mouth to tell the man that he was just laughing at the way he had entered the hall but then decided against it. Instead he gave Leo, a mischevious grin. "Oh nothing at all Leo." he said with a look of feigned innocence. Of course he had done nothing to the man or his surroundings. But the librarian didn't know that. Quote:
He was in such a good mood tonight. Quote:
Olly was just picking up his glass to have a drink when William asked a question and with his free hand, he smacked his forehead. "I knew there was something I was forgetting." He leaned forward in the chair and looked down at Tate and had just opened his mouth to tell the Headmaster his news but the man risen to make his speech. He looked back at his friend. "Looks like it's gonna have to wait. Anyway I've been meaning to talk to you about your sister." Quote:
But before he could say anything about the lovely Wanda, the Headmaster began his speech and Oliver leaned back in his chair to listen to the usual "blah, blah, another year over, congrats house cup winners, blah, blah, have a good..." Oh hang on that's not how the speech was going and he leaned forward once again to look at the Headmaster. Apparently the man already knew of his intentions to resign. Good. That saved him having to write it out on a piece of parchment. And it looked as though Tate was just full of surprises tonight. He was leaving as well. They should so have a party in the staff room tonight after the feast. And why wasn't he putting a whoopie cushion on Cece's chair for one last hurrah? That woman was so gonna miss him. NOT!! |
Cece is not happy that William isn't coming back :( Cece quietly made her way back to the staff table after the headmaster gave his speech. The man may not have given names when he said something about professors leaving but she didn't miss who he had looked at when he said that. She really didn't listen to any more of the speech after that. All she could think about was William not being there next term... and the fact that he didn't tell her he wasn't coming back. Finally making it to her seat she sat down without acknowledging anyone around her. Then again, the seat to her right was empty, which didn't surprise her since Waylon never made it to the feasts. Then there were the two seats to her left that were also empty. She had spotted Dash heading towards the Slytherin table but paid no attention to what he was doing there. Her mind was on other things right now. Like when did William plan on telling her he wasn't coming back? |
:( William's shoulders were in a definite slump now, now that the Headmaster had given THE speech and he had been outed as a quitter. But he wasn't quitting, not really; he was just moving on to bigger and maybe better things. There was nothing quite like getting a second chance at the best job in the world, after all. AND he'd heard rumors of there being an opening visiting professor position at the nearby university. So really, this leaving thing totally wasn't that bad. And if he ignored all the sad and hurt looks from his Or so he told himself. Quote:
"My WHAT?" he echoed his friend, turning his head slowwwwwwwwly to look past Fina and straight to Oliver. "My SISTER? Wanda? Whaaaaaaattttt?????" |

She took a few sips as she listened to Leo answer her question. At least he'd had fun. "And not just students asking for advice," Issy chuckled, leaning back in her seat to get comfy. How long? Hmmm. She was sure she'd not seen a librarian for... "A couple of terms, I think. Possibly three." She lost track of time sometimes. "Was it much of a mess at the start?" Her term. Huh. "Fun, certainly, thank you. Especially down on the lake, I think the kids enjoyed that one. Hopefully," she grinned. Quote:
Isabelle smiled at Leo again, before fixing her gaze on Tate just beyond him. Twisting herself around in her seat to get a better view as she listened. On mention of Hufflepuff winning, she put down her goblet and clapped happily, glancing over at the table with a broad smile on her face, and letting a little chuckle escape at his size quip. Then he started talking about faces being missing. Including professors and.... what...Who was leaving? Which professors? Isabelle's face turned into a frown and her gaze returned to Tate, trying to work out what was going on. He was leaving too? Her mouth fell open slightly, and frown knitted into a sad one. Surely he was joking. He was going to start laughing in a minute and thank them all for not dying, wasn't he? Apparently not. Eat? From what Issy could see of the other end of the table, a couple of her colleagues had gone off their food. To be honest she was beginning to feel the same. Instead she picked up her fork and prodded a piece of chicken that had just appeared on her plate. Only after a few minutes did she actually pick it up and put it in her mouth, chewing slowly and with no conviction at all. |
me + feasts = fail Well.. Once again, Waylon was attending his last end of term feast. The only thing different about this time and last time, though, was that this time he wasn't going to be signing his name in that seventh year book thing. And the fact that this time he had already missed half of it. The speech was given and the food had arrived! But that wasn't really important. He wanted to sign the book again! Maybe he could get to it on the way out. Deciding that that sounded like a good idea, and deciding that he would ask what he missed later as well, since it seemed like he had missed a lot. Why was no one eating!?, he made his way up to the staff table, and plopped himself down in his seat next to Cece. He gave everyone a smile and a wave before leaning in closer to Cece. "Is the food bad?" Could be why she looked so upset. |
Quote:
See, that's the reaction he was expecting from his best mate that's why Oliver had chosen this moment to tell him. They were in public and it was a happy occasion. Well okay, William was being all mopey so maybe now hadn't been the best time but they were still in public so surely his friend wouldn't do anything to him. Giving Willy, his best charming smile, Olly spoke in a low voice. "Your sister's kinda of grown on me over the months and well...we've been kinda dating." Secretly. That had been his idea because he hadn't known whether it was going to work between them but it had been almost a year now and things were going well. So he figured it was time to let his mate know. Which he had now done. So maybe he should change the subject. And oh look there was the perfect distraction walking up to the staff table. Quote:
"Yo Murdoch! Nice of you to make an appearance mate. William here needs some cheering up." Yes Waylon, we need you to keep Willy busy so that he wouldn't hex his best friend. |
Quote:
Jumping a bit when someone spoke in her ear she turned to see Waylon. When did he get there? He wasn't there when she came back up to the table was he? "Please tell me you're not leaving too." If he said he was leaving too this would officially be the worst day of her life. It would be just like when they were students and they all graduated a year before she did. They would be leaving her behind... again. |
Quote:
Cece could just ignore his very important question about the food and jump right into questioning him. Although, he thought that whole answering a question with another question thing was wrong and if it wasn't illegal, it should be. Now what was he supposed to say? He could, of course, ask another question, maybe one not food related, but that would be even more wrong and the Healer was going to find out sooner or later. Like, next term when he would be nowhere to be seen. Not that that wasn't unusual, since he often missed the feasts. But he was SURE she would know something when some other Groundskeeper was sitting next to her. Yup, better to just let her know now. Clearing his throat, he leaned away from her a little, and even though he was still sure there was something wrong with the food, he began piling stuff onto his plate. "Well.." he began, "I was going to tell you sooner, but I forgot.." He needed to get that fixed.. or something.. Quote:
Leaning even more away from Cece, so that his chair was practically standing on just its back legs, he turned his head towards the other end of the staff table and waved his fork in his friends direction. And maybe if he couldn't see all that well, he might have believed that William needed cheering up. He didn't look a bit upset. And Waylon would rather deal with a hopefully not going to cry Cece than whatever was going on down there. He would not be used as a human shield! Again. "You told him about you and his sister?" If not, he knew now, didn't he? |
oh yeah NOW Destiny posts, when I have no time left to RP :P Quote:
"You've been seeing Wanda for MONTHS!!!?!!" William repeated, his voice certainly much louder than Oliver's smooth tones. "MONTHS, and you didn't TELL ME?!" That. Was. DISGUSTING. And to think, SHE hadn't told him EITHER?!!! What happened to Williamson Family Loyalty? The code of WWWs?! Oh no, William was NOT going to just be cheered up that easily. Now he was angry, and his left hand was twitching for his wand. Forget the food. William was ready for a feud. Quote:
"AND YOU DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING?" he roared toward Waylon, flicking his wand his way at last and sending a trip jinx straight toward his friend's chair. That's what he got for leaning back too far! William whirled back toward Oliver, his wand pointing straight around Josephina and straight up his nose. "How long have you two been dating. DO NOT LIE TO ME, OLIVER JENKINS." |
Haha, OMG...William Oliver GLARED at Waylon. What happened to helping out a friend? He was supposed to be talking about other things. NOT tell William that he knew about Wanda and himself. "Thanks a lot bro." What happened to Hufflepuff loyalty? That was the last time that he told Murdoch any of his secrets. He had only told him, because he had needed to tell someone and he had thought he could trust the man. Obviously not! And William. What had gotten into him? He looked a little demented. Oliver recoiled in his chair a little when his friend began to rant at him. "It's not that I didn't want to tell you, it's just..." he trailed off and at least had the decency to look sheepish. But that look only lasted for a second before it turned into mild horror as William turned his fury onto Waylon and hexed him. HE HEXED WAYLON! Oliver didn't even have time to say anything before he found William's wand shoved up his nose. "Six months. We've been dating officially for six months." Okay that sounded bad. But in his defence, William had been so preoccupied with his dragon that he probably wouldn't have taken any notice anyway. |
everyone in general...but a few get special bolded names :3 Kurumi hadn't expected her trip up to the staff table to be so...somber. The Headmaster's announcement and glances around the staff table had came to a real shock to the Gryffindor. Shock wasn't even the word that could begin to describe the wave of emotions that had washed over the almost seventh year lioness...but it was a start. She just wished that she had baked more personalized cookies. As it was, Kurumi carried four boxes of cookies in her arms. One was filled with her usual Hogwarts cookies for all of the school's staff to enjoy. Another was for the Headmaster, filled with oatmeal cookies, and she set this crimson box in front of him first. "Headmaster Tate....thank you...for the past six terms," she said softly, biting on her lower lip rather furiously. Sh hadn't known that he was Having set down the box of Hogwarts cookies already, Kurumi stopped in front of Professor Scabior and then glanced at the empty seat of Professor Lafay. Kurumi had seen the man go to the snake table Finally, and rather reluctantly, Kurumi approached Professor Williamson with her eyes already shimmering slightly. Back to chewing on her lip, Kurumi simply stood there in front of the man staring at the top of the table for several moments with the last box of cookies in her hands. These cookies were supposed to just be a kind gesture to let him know that she wasn't upset that Roro had "P-Professor Williamson..." she began, her voice cracking involuntarily as she set the box down in front of him. "Do you...do you really have to leave?" She suddenly felt like such a first year asking their parent if they had to board the Hogwarts Express all by themselves. Couldn't daddy just get on board and continue to hold onto their hand and just be there? She suspected that it had something to do with Roro, his reasons for leaving, but...wasn't there another possible solution? "You're...you're the best Care of Magical Creatures professor I've ever had..." Not that the others hadn't been fantastic. Professor Williamson had just been for her what Professor Zookara had once been. More than JUST a professor. A sort of hero. Someone to aspire to be like...and she didn't want to let go of that...again. |
SPOILER!!: hahahahahahaha!!! omg Oh.. Waylon realized just a little too late that THAT was not the right thing to say. He also realized that THAT was exactly what Oliver had told William. And if it wasn't for the fact that he then had the Creatures Professor's wand pointed right at him and if his chair wasn't starting to fall back, he would have said something about forgetting to let him know. That usually worked. It did with everything else, so it should have worked with this. Right? As it was, though, Waylon was flailing his arms and falling to the floor behind the staff table before he could even open his mouth to say something. Landing with an 'oof', that was the last time he would ever sit like that!, he turned his head towards his friends just in time to see that the wand that had caused him to fall back was now sticking straight up Oliver's nose. He stared, and then stared some more before he couldn't help himself and he burst out laughing. Oliver had a wand up his nose! "Bwahaha!!" He was too busy laughing to even notice Kurumi's cookies. |
Gonna try for my dare amidst the chaos. Oakey was fumbling his way to the staff table at the moment. After the Headmasters speech just about every student was sitting still in deep thought as to what was just said a few minutes ago. But not Oakey, Oakey was determined to give something to someone he considered special at the staff table. You could see the end of flowers sticking out behind his back. Before he did that though he moved his way towards both the Headmaster and Mr. Merdog. He was terribly nervous standing before the Headmaster, but his attention was directed towards the Groundskeeper first. Mr.Merdog, I just wanted to wish a great summer, and...umm... Oakey was to nervous to ask. He wanted to make sure the Mr. Merdog wasn't one of the staff that was leaving, but what would Oakey do if he truly was leaving. Mr. Merdog, or Murdoch as he liked to be called, was by far his favorite staff in all of Hogwarts. Strangely and probably some what convenient Merdog fell back onto the floor. Oakey was startled by this sudden fall by used it to continue down the line. Headmaster sir... Oakey said, to the great man sitting before him. I just wanted to let you know, I may not have had you as my Headmaster as long as Kurumi. He noted the box of cookies sitting before Tate, but you will by far be the best Headmaster in my book. All right now last but not least. Professor Hadley, it was her that he finally switched the flowers from being behind his back to in front of him. As he walked by he couldn't help but notice Professor Williamson shoving his wand up Professor Jenkins nose. awkwardly he asked his Head of house, should I come by a little later? He inched forward some and laid the flowers down in front of his Arithmancy Professor. |

Pushing away the urge to bite on his nails Leo busied himself with looking down at the house tables. The student's could distract him hopefully. Quote:
3 terms! Leobald thought back to when he had first stepped foot in the library. "Oh, it wasn't so messy. There was nothing I couldn't handle with the help of some eager students and the caretaker. The bats were the worst though they had moved into the storage room and weren't exactly eager to leave it." He told his colleague. Bats were now his least favourite creature. "Transfiguration down by the lake? Sounds fun, what did the kids have to do?" Leo asked interestedly. Why hadn't he had lesson's by the lake in his youth like these students? Could he rewind the time, please? Text Cut: Tate's speech Leobald stomach was slowly grumbling to remind him that he was hungry. Glancing left towards Tate, he couldn't be more relieved when the headmaster stood up to give his speech. When the speech was given, the food would appear before him to be dug into. The speech began just like many of the other headmaster speeches he had heard mainly in his student years at the school. Midway through the tone changed which caused Leobald to sharpen his ears and actually listen. The bossman was LEAVING and wasn't coming back in September. And he wasn't the only one. Leo did his best to pinpoint on whom among the staff, Tate's eyes lingered on. It looked like William and Oliver. He shrugged. Weird, he hadn't heard anything about them resigning before the feast. Would it include Waylon too? When the food arrived his appetite had lessened. Quietly he helped himself to some fish and chips. Quote:
He would talk to her after the feast was over. Leo went back to eating not taking much notice of the gryffindor prefect even if she addressed Dash beside him or the hufflepuff. |
So much..so lost...right..Tate Cece Leo William Cali meh meh Right everyone was making their way to the table now...late. Ugh no wonder the students were as bad as they were. The teachers themselves were late bugs, such a shame. She eyed Calista because..well she deserved it. More eyes. She did notice how sad and mopey Brickhead William looked and even the headmaster, it didn't take her very long to find out why either. His speech...oh my and she only had one year under him. It was a shame really but such was life, maybe the next headmaster would be a lot stricter, that would be lovely. She almost started day dreaming about it...but then his look at William... Waaaaaaah.... No she hated William but she didn't want him to leave...that..that more than anything else made her frown. She couldn't hate him if he wasn't around, truly it was a sad day...but then the woman spotted Cece and remembered why she went through all that trouble of trying to do off with William's horrid dragon in the first place...Veritaserum, which conveniently she had in her purse. She got up and made her way to the empty chair next to Cece and Leo. "Look...I know we're kind of ending on a bad note..so I'm sorry." And while she had Cece's attention she dripped some serum into her goblet. |
End of Term Feast, Term 31, Staff Table Continued Cece did NOT like the way Walyon was leaning away form her. That meant only one thing. He was about to tell her something she wasn't going to like hearing. And she was right. "You forgot? How exactly do you just forget to tell me you're not planning on coming back next term?" Okay, so this was Waylon she was talking to but still, how could he not think to tell her he was leaving... for good? And then he just turns away from her to talk to Oliver and William... the other ones who seem to have forgotten to tell her their news. Not that she really cared what Oliver was doing. But those other two... the ones who obviously only pretended to be her friends, she just couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that they didn't have the decency to tell her what they were doing... after everything they've been through together over the years. And her night was just getting better and better here. Turning to look at the Charms professor Cece didn't even so much as offer her a forced smile. Did the woman really think a little apology was going to make up for the way she acted in the infirmary? The way she acted towards William even. "You can save your apology, I really don't care to hear it right now." What she wanted to hear was an explanation from her so called friends about why they thought it was alright to just leave without even telling her. Turning away from Sophia, Cece picked up her goblet of water. She was tempted to dump it on Waylon's head for not tellling her but she didn't want to waste it... especially since she was thirsty. After downing about half her water she set it back on the table. "Get up off the floor already Waylon. You look like an idiot down there." Yes, she called him an idiot. She was just being truthful after all. |
Chaos. If there was any word that fit more perfectly for these beginning and ending feasts, it would have been chaos. William was yelling, Waylon was tripping, wands sticking up people's noses, one of the peas on her plate rolled off the table from poking it at a weird angle, and there were cookies somewhere thrown into the mix. She was having a hard time trying to be sad when all of this was happening. The chuckle that was just waiting to burst forth was too much to take, darnit. Why did these feasts have to have some sort of entertainment!? And why did she never bring a camera!? |
lala She ignored everything around her..all the chaos all the hooliganism because really it was the last night of it..until next year...damn. Hopefully hopefully they would all come back a little bit more refined or maybe a whole new set of staff would come, that would be lovely. Back to the task at hand. Sophia shrugged. Really the woman's retort didn't so much as phase her because she had accomplished what she came down here to accomplish and Cece was busy lapping it up. The woman was quite arrogant though..Sophia Bellaire apologize for something that was not her fault? The woman was quite rude actually and she would never be in her right mind willingly apologize to her. She didn't move however, instead she sat there and when Cece was done yapping about something to the other professor on the ground, she turned back to her. "So Cece..I couldn't help but notice you looking at William just now when headmaster Tate made his speech..will you be sad to see him go?" She chuckled. "What am I asking, of course you will after all you do have feeling for the man don't you healer Tillstorm?" |
Was she still there? What was it going to take to get that woman to go back to her end of the table? The mention of WIlliam caught her attention though. Turning back to the Holy Merlin! WHY had she gone and blurted that out? Cece had sworn to herself that she would never tell anyone her true feelings for William, including herself. Yes, it's safe to say she had been tryting to deny for years how she felt about him. And now with one slip of the tongue it was out in the open. Looking down the table at the man she had just admitted to being in love with she shook her head. Leave it to him and Oliver to make a scene on their last night in the school. |
Quote:
"SIX MONTHS," the man bellowed, realizing just now that he was causing a scene and needed to get a grip. "Six months." He stared Oliver down and then removed his wand from the nostril. "Six months." Willy proceeded to wipe his wand on his trousers, shaking his head all the while. "Six months! Why didn't she say something???!?" Quote:
It was horrible. Today was horrible. Looking up from his wand cleaning, William found himself staring straight into the teary, wounded-looking eyes of Kurumi Hollingberry. Awwww. Awww no, she had even made him dragon cookies. "I'm so sorry, Kurumi," he responded softly. "But... I've already turned in my resignation..." And as much as he loved the students, he loved that dragon just a teensy bit more. Sorrrrrrry. :( Quote:
He did, however, spare a glance at Cece. And... was that Bellaire? What was SHE doing all the way down there? Up to something, no doubt... |
Always up to something It wasn't like she hadn't known the answer to the question she asked Cece. After how the woman flipped out earlier in the year when William was in the hospital even a blind man could tell the woman was head over heels for the obnoxious Care of Magical Creatures professor. The woman just needed proof and here it was..out of the Abraxan's own mouth. The grin on Sophia's face rivaled that of a Cheshire cat. She cleared her throat loudly hoping to get the attention of the rest of the staff. They needed to know this of course. "What was that Cece?" She mock gasped and continued on loud enough for all to hear. "You're in LOVE with William???" |
Leobald was silently pouting over the fact that the feast had turned into something both gloomy and sad. Too many people were leaving after the night was out. William was one of them. Leo wanted to bury the hatchet with the COMC chap but now maybe there was no time. Being angry about being called 'Baldie' seemed now as something totally ridiculous. Picking at the food on his plate Leo looked up with surprise when Sophia sat down in one of the vacant seats next to him sending a womanly scent his way. "Evening Sophia, yes very sad feast. It seems like half of the staff is leaving." he agreed. There was no time to ask about his friend's summer plans when Sophia devoted her full attention on Cecelia. Leo didn't see how Sophia slipped a vial of something into Cece's drink if he had, then he might have understood a lot better where the sea of truth's where coming from that Cece started to share with everyone. 'I'm in LOVE with William.' Leo heard Cece declare loud and clear. Almost choking on his pumpkin juice his eyes darted from Cece to William. Was she serious? Had William heard her? Were his own secret wishes to date Cece pointless? Leobald could only wait and see. |
Was Cece stuttering here or what? Sophia was acting as if she wasn't understanding a word the woman was saying. Reaching out she tapped the woman on her ears. "Are these things on?" If they were then maybe she should turn them up so she could hear better. "Yes, I Cecelia Tillstorm am in love with Willilam Williamson." O___O WHAT was wrong with her? Why did Cece keep blurting out things she never wanted to say out loud? It was like her brain and her mouth weren't working together here. Like her mouth had a mind of its own and was just going to say whatever it wanted to... which apparently was announce to everyone wround her that she was in love with a man who seen her as nothing more than a sister. Grabbing her |
reaction to the kiss we're pretending happened xD When Cece suddenly planted a KISS kiss kiss on Willy's lips, the poor man was stunned into silence. He didn't kiss her back When he finally snapped out of it and tugged his face away from hers, he had to ask, "Are you all right, Cece?" Cecelia Tillstorm, killer kisser!! Who knew? |
Cece hadn't planned on kissing William like that, just like she hadn't planned on blurting out to everyone in ear shot that she was in love with him. It just happened before she could stop herself. It was as if she had no control over what she said or did when it came to that man tonight. It wasn't until he pulled away from her that she realized he didn't return her kiss. "Yeah, of course I'm alright. I just wanted to you know, Feeling her face turn red she started to back away from him. What she really wanted to do right now was just leave the Great Hall and go back to her office to be alone. She had just made a total fool of herself in front of the whole school, and for what? Just to be asked if she was alright. Could this night get any worse? |
