of Professor Romanos As you enter the office, the first thing that may come to your attention is the fact that the office may seem larger than others in the school; depending on if you've actually visited any other professors yet of course. Don't be fooled though, for it really isn't all that particularly bigger than the rest. The illusion of it being so is from the way the Professor had arranged the furniture and other objects around the room, trying to make it as comfortable as possible. The room itself has the warm yet striking colors that seem to both brighten and darken the office at the same time. The most common of colors are the deep reddish-brown that you may have acquainted yourself with from the waiting area sitting just outside, accented with a few different shades of reds, browns, as well as creams depending on where the light decides to land. |

She stopped at the first seat she came upon, and there were MANY, and leaned her elbows on its back trying to detect any books she knew or heard of. But then.. something meowed. Something really close meowed. Louisa jumped backward, glaring at the defiant cat which was on this big lush chair close by. Huh. Well.. okay.. it was that cat's territory. Turning back to Professor Romanos, Louisa cleared her throat and spoke again, "Thanks for inviting me in, professor." She went on, "I got an Acceptable in Defense Against the Dark Arts OWL examination last year. I know it's not much but it means a lot to me since... you know, this isn't my strongest subject." Cue an embarrassed cough. The Ravenclaw didn't like to admit she wasn't good in some subject. Especially not to someone who is very good at it... calmly brilliant at it even. "So I thought maybe.. you could recommend some books for me to boost up my knowledge? 'cause I'm not very good at the practical portion or the dueling." Gulp. Books would do the trick, right? Books were the best solution for everything, Louisa believed in that blindly! |

"You should be proud of it." she nodded as she started towards her book case. "Though for your practical studies, I do have a book or two you can start vith. Mind you, it doesn't cover all the spells ve may go over, but it's a little more detailed than your school book." Just, where was it? Aw, wait. Pulling down a short but medium sized brown book, she ran her hand over the top as if brushing off dust while she made her way over to Louisa. She handed the book over. The Dance of Dueling. "Start vith this. This book gives a lot of useful tips for dueling, from stances to combinations of basic spells you could use which could also help vith your practicals, but Miss Carter, I must say...books can only get you so far. The last ten percent of knowledge comes from first hand experience." The saying 'practice makes perfect' wasn't made just for laughs after all. |

Right. Got it. The Ravenclaw spoke finally, "Thank you, ma'am for lending me this book. I'll bring it back to you in no more than a week." In case she needed it or something. It wouldn't take Louisa that long to read it anyways. "Would you like anything before I leave, professor?" Because Louisa didn't like owing people, especially not people in authority posts. |
For HoM HW: Protest Posters. Oakey had next decided to come to Professor Romanos' Office. This one he assumed would be the most difficult to pull off seeing as she was the DADA Professor. Who knew what kind of traps and spells awaited him if he entered uninvited and unprepared. He opened the door to her office half expecting to be blown away for not knocking first. No such thing happened, he poked his head in and his eye brows weren't singed off. He looked around to see if Romanos was in the office. If she was Oakey would just drop his Poster and surrender peacefully, but there was no sight of her anywhere so he came in all the way and closed the door quietly behind him. He took one step in heard something or somethings move between his feet. He looked down and saw two cats rubbing against his legs. Oakey could not move now, not without tripping on the cats and causing a disturbance. Thinking quickly Oakey removes his wand and pointed it at his poster Reducio He whispered and the Poster shrunk til it rested in the palm of his hand. Bending down slightly he pet one of the cats, it was a blondish-Tan color and he slipped the poster into the cats collar. Turning around he moved reached for the door handle opened it and slipped out quickly. SPOILER!!: Tiny Poster on Cat ooc. are the cats wearing collars?. |
I'm assuming that Lyssie was allowed into the office xD Quote:
"I need your help to help me find my balance again. I seem to feel like I've lost my way and I don't know whether I'll even be able to finish this term in Hogwarts. Everything I do seems to go wrong." Alyssa looked up at the Professor. "Can you help me please?" |

Quite frankly, she didn't remember where she obtained this one anyhow. Was there anything she wanted before the ravenclaw left? "No, Miss Carter. Just keep the book in it's condition please." Quote:
Medea was gone for only two minutes. Two minutes to quickly check to see if she left her folder in the arena, but after not finding it, she headed back to her office right around the corner. Just two minutes. After closing her office door behind her, she found Barnabus plopped down right next to her, head laying on something... Oh for Merlin's sakes. If this was another attempt of William's, at least he could target something other than her cats. Bending down, she took the parchment from his collar and read it. Oh, tiny writing. Tiny writing indidicating...a rally? For more Hogsmeade weekends? Medea raised an eyebrow at this as she stood up and headed towards her desk... wondering if any of the other professor recieved such a note. Something to look into at least. Quote:
Oh? Okay... Slowly closing the door behind her, her hand lingered on the doorknob as she listened to the troubled Puff. Even more surprised than before. Wasn't this something to talk about with her Head of House? The teenage problems and stuff? "I can...try." she offered, walking further into her own office towards the couches. "Please, have a seat." Just not the one Alfonso claimed as his. |

Alyssa quickly turned around to look at the Professor. "I'm so so sorry, Professor Romanos. I didn't mean no disrespect by entering your office before being invited in. If you are busy, I can come back another time." Alyssa quickly got up from her seat and prepared to exit the Professor's Office. 'What is wrong with me. I have never entered anyone's office without their permission. I'm going to get detention for sure.' Alyssa thought to herself. |
Quote:
"Miss Potter, please." she said calmly, the smile that she had earlier holding warmth instead of surprise now. "I am not busy at all. Have a seat, take a deep breathe, and relax." Medea took her own seat on one of the couches, next to Alfonso to keep that seat safe from trouble. The cat just looked up at her before laying his head down to go back to sleep. Waiting to see if Alyssa would do as she said. Or at least try to. |
Vickers is OUTSIDE the door *whistles* Vickers stood quietly in front of Professor Romanos’ door. In his hand he was nervously fidgeting with the poster for his HOM homework and wondered if he could talk to her and have the posters up in her classroom, having the students see something and think about while they But sitting in her office and getting his cause shot down isnt really what he’s up for today. So instead he bent down and slipped the poster under her door, hoping instead that she can see the poster and grant her support without him having to argue for it alone. Because as strongly as he feels about this issue, he wasn’t about to do a back and forth with a Professor, not without Prefects Louisa and Lewis backing him up and arguing SPOILER!!: clickity!click |
