He nodded but shrugged. "But the city would still be there. It wouldn't be lost." Still physically there.

City...status? Scabior snorted. "I think politicians have better things to do than to denounce cities."

Ah, war. "That's true. War sometimes results in the renaming of cities." Good point.

"Most of the time they get bailed out, and then they are still there." By they he meant the city of course.

He just nodded as if to say he would get back to that later.

Scabior nodded. "Yes, that was true." He would touch on that later as well.

Ah. Same answer as someone else. He nodded, it was true.

A black hole? "We would all be dead." If a black hole came anywhere close.

War and all that again, he nodded.

Unplottable. He loved that word. "I could possibly be." I was possible.

"They would most likely get bailed out." He repeated again. It was very unlikely for a city to fall that way.

"Tornados can destroy what humans built in cities and nature but the city is still there." Not lost at all.

Scabior shook his head then pointed to a map. "If a rather earthquake happened in London, destroyed everything and killed everyone, the city would still be there. It will still be on the map. People would still try to clean it up."

"Well it would be sort of distorted but not exactly lost." No, that wasn't a lost city.

"That can happen." He nodded.

"All those things you listened. Sure they destroy a city. But does that render it lost?" Did it?

Again that word that he enjoyed. "That is, to say the least, good thinking."

"I'll get back to you." He would, later on.

"Right. So it might not be possible. Good answer." He smiled.

He nodded at the three, similar answer to what he had talked about.

Young students often had some sort of entertaining edge to them. Random hand movements, loud voices. Scabior just watched as the second year explained her thoughts and then she froze.

One minute Anya Phillips was talking and the next minute, BOOM- or not really. Just silence. Despite the theories of some students, Scabior did not live under a rock. Word of the students and Ravenclaw head of house freezing had reached him, and quickly at that.

He had only started to look into books to see if anything was related, but there were thousands upon thousands of books that could be looked into, and only one Scabior.

It was one thing to hear about it, and another to have a student freeze right in front of you.

He made his way over to her desk, cautiously waving his hand in front of her face but getting no response.

"Thank you for some strange reason I didn't quite notice." His voice was almost snappy. Yup. Scabior was not happy.

His good mood had completely vanished, somewhere along the lines of speaking about the lost city and the sudden reactions to Anya just freezing. "I don't think so Mister Vanderbilt? I think it would make perfect sense to just leave her here." His voice was oozing with sarcasm.

"She's frozen." He answered quite obviously, AS was visible. He wasn't in the mood for these questions.

Scabior stared at Emmanuelle for not even a second before ignoring her. "Kindly lower your voice Miss Moreau."

"Really? Well its good to know that you agree with some who is speaking common sense Mister Rush." Scabior stared, good mood completely gone.

"No." It wasn't a no thank you, or no its okay, just a straight no.

He drew his wand, pausing as though he perhaps had frozen too with a thoughtful expression on his face as he figured out the exact message he wanted to send. Once he was certain, he flicked his wand, opening the door, then pointed the wand again straight at it. A slivery eagle exploding from the tip. The bird made a round around the classroom before quickly disappearing out the door.

Right, back to teaching. Scabior cleared his throat. "Back to the lesson then, the Healer will be here momentarily." Hopefully. Yes ignore the frozen girl. His good mood had vanished and quickly.

"Many of you had very good answers. Some of you we might actually touch upon." Later, hoping that no one else froze in his class. "Please remember though, a city being destroyed is completely different from one being lost." A note to all of you who said something along the lines of Hurricanes or Tsunamis.

"Today's lesson will be on something that some of you mentioned, the city of Atlantis." Good job to those who mentioned it, but it wasn't the hard to guess."There are many stories and myths behind the city, some true, and some not so true. But right now I just want to know what you know about the apparent lost city?"

Well, Professor was.... moody? Happy one second, grumpy the next, although he noticed that it may have occurred right around when the Gryffindor girl froze. Was that defense mechanism to say he really was worried for her, or he was as mean as the rumors say and he just doesnt give a hoot? But he did send a patronus out-- of which Vickers was quite impressed with its form-- and saw the the Professor carried on with the lesson.

Part of him wondered if the Historian has spoken with the Potions Mistress and was advised not to give the students another free period scare.

Vickers at this point really REALLY doesnt want to be anywhere near anyone he thinks is contagious-- like that Gryffindor girl-- but the Professor said the magic word.

A T L A N T I S

Blue eyes brightened considerably. They were going to discuss about Atlantis in this class? Vickers paused for a moment before raising his hand "There have been research that Atlantis might be located somewhere amongst the Greek islands, some were saying that it could've been what is present day Thira, popularly known to tourists as Santorini. Researchers said that back when Santorini was still a whole island, it had a volcanic explosion so bad the entire center of the island disappeared underwater, and that this explosion sent a tsunami that ruined the Minoan civilization in the nearby island of Crete." anyway that was one of the more credible versions he's read. He's gonna skip the part about aliens from outer space leveling the whole place.

sarahlooo 06-15-2012 07:08 PM

.... What? The Professor didn't even care that another student had frozen? Sure, he called for the nurse, but he practically ignored the fact that Anya was dead frozen. It seemed weird to Milton that people kept freezing. It must have been something in the food or something...

But having a frozen mid-boom third year right next to him was starting to really creep Milton out. Surprisingly enough, he agreed with his house Prefect. Louisa. She had a point.

Hold the phone on this "lost city" business. Milton had something to say to dear old Scabby. "So, some city that disappeared off the face of the earth three thousand years ago... is more important than the growing number of gradually-petrifying students?" Because that just seemed ridiculous to him. Even if Milton didn't like a whole lot of people.

AlwaysSnapesGirl 06-15-2012 07:10 PM

That was it? Just a shiny bird flying away and then they were moving on and ignoring Anya? That was not okay, at least not to Penelope. The professor had said the Healer would be there soon, but shouldn't they do more than just wait and ignore the Gryffindor? It was like he didn't even care all that much.

And Penelope was clearly not the only one who had a problem with it. An older Ravenclaw - two, actually - was speaking up now. Penelope glanced over at the girl and the boy next to Anya and gave them both a nod before looking back at the professor to give her own reply. "They're right. Shouldn't we at least wait for the Healer and make sure Anya's okay before we go back to doing class stuff?" Making sure Anya was okay was more important than class stuff. She was one of the only friends Penelope had, after all, while this class was just one of many, therefore she could easily lose a bit of class time without any problems. Those she could always make up and would have more of later. But she couldn't lose a friend.

Steelsheen 06-15-2012 08:29 PM

Louisa plus all of yous worried for Anya

Ok that dude (Milton)--a fellow Claw even-- said the word PETRIFIED. That probably wasnt the best thing for Vickers to hear. Because now he's thinking BASILISK and CHAMBER OF SECRETS...

.... Didnt they all re-open and explored the Chamber of Secrets LAST TERM?

Icy blue eyes, bright with the distraction of talking about one of his favorite myths, goes back to tense worrying. "Wouldnt calling it petrified be a bit much? I mean I saw the Prefects freezing at Potions class, some of them unfroze after a while." Of course, he cleared out of there by the time Sierra and Lewis refroze again. "Besides, we went down the Chamber of Secrets last term. Professor Scabior said there was nothing to worry about because the Basilisk was long gone." He eyed the Professor again-- he wasnt actually breeding another cursed reptile was he? A baby Basilisk running lose around Hogwarts with its power of petrification not yet at full strength???

Calm down.... calm down....

THAT was their way of handling the problem? At least Lafay had the decency to dismiss them. She was annoyed at the whole thing... and Scabior would probably take 948657349865 points from her WHICH HE HAD NO RIGHT OF DOING but she wasn't about to accept this cold reaction to this weird unexplained incident to a kid.

Louisa glanced at the Gryffindor statue and threw her back against the chair. Not gonna answer till the Healer was here and took care of the girl.

... and whoah someone's NOT calm.

Behind his covered hand, Vickers sat agape at his Prefect. Eyes darts back towards the Professor. They got a lucky with Lafay, but Vickers was all about not pressing his luck the second time "Uhm.... Professor, perhaps we can quaran-- errr cover her-- Anya-- up with a curtain or a tent or something? Kinda give her some privacy while we wait for the Healer?"

DuckyLinJi 06-15-2012 08:33 PM

When the first person he had seen had frozen during potions class, Daichi had found it very annoying and obviously had thought that someone was using a spell on unexpected people.

But when someone announced that another student had frozen he became a little nervous. Especially when the Professor just dismissed it ans went on with the lesson. The Slytherin stared at the frozen student before they went to the Ravenclaw Prefect, Louisa.

"I-I agree w-with Louisa, sir!" he stuttered and after he had said those words he felt his cheeks blushing and he quickly looked down at the map in front of him.

Atlantis... he knew nothing about this place except for the name and that it was ...underwater? Even that he wasn't sure so he decided to keep quiet for this question.

TakemetotheBurrow 06-15-2012 08:47 PM

O__O That girl...the frozen one...was Alec's bestie, right? Ella frowned. Feeling quite bad that her friend's best friend had fallen victim to the crazy freezing disease that was going around. She wondered if maybe Mr. Freeze was actually real and no one had told her about it. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME. Maybe Batman was real too! GRIN.

As for the lost city of Atlantis, Ella didn't know too much. "Professor, I read that Atlantis was a great city ruled by these...well I guess they were kinda gods but kinda men. Half and half or something...And also that the city was swallowed up by the sea."

FireboltAvis88 06-15-2012 09:32 PM

I seriously did read a novel about finding Atlantis.

Alyssa listened as the others gave their answers about what they thought about Atlantis. When they were done, Alyssa raised her hand and gave her answer,"Professor there was a book I read about Atlantis."

Atlantis is believed to be once habited by Greek descendants. That is why it is believed that the largest building on Atlantis is the Temple of Poseidon. It was a thriving city and the gateway for the great naval power of the Greeks."

"It is believed that Atlantis sank after their attempt to invade Athens failed. It just went 'Poof' underwater all in one day and everyone perished.'

"There are many rumors as to where the Lost City lies. Some have said that it lies near Portugal in the Atlantic Ocean while others say that it's near the Bermuda Triangle, or even Florida. There is one rumor that says that Atlantis will rise again one day."

Expecto-Penguin 06-15-2012 10:28 PM

Annabelle heard the professor's question. She was never touched up upon Atlantis but she gave an guess that she knew. "Professor isn't Atlantis a lost city and then it perished and it was known today to be a lost city under the sea?"

Deezerz 06-15-2012 10:37 PM

Kennedy frowned. Not at the Professor's unnecessary comment - in his opinion - but at the fact that he was IGNORING Anya. What if she stopped breathing and was suffocating AT THIS VERY MOMENT, but couldn't show it because she was FROZEN! What a great way to show he cared about his students. Kennedy didn't even think about the question.

Nope.

Instead, he sat back and crossed his arms across his chest. This was ridiculous. Students freezing for unknown reasons and Scabior continuing his lesson like nothing's happened. Well, this Slytherin wasn't okay with it, along with Daichi.

WitchLight27 06-15-2012 11:38 PM

Professor Scabior was one person Erin actually thought would be worried when someone froze in class, least to see Lafay going gaga when Prefects were starting to freeze in her class.

Though that was what her professor had instructed them, to stay on the lesson. Erin thought really hard what she really knew about Atlantis. So, it was actually once a city that was lost - quite given -, that's why they were talking about it now. It could be the Bikini Bottom from Spongebob Squarepants (Muggles would know that) but saying it in front of a professor, quite not a good idea. Instead, Erin shut her mouth and listened to her fellow classmates' answers jotting down the possible right ones.

The professor was very calm about the freezing thingy, and that made Erin quite in panic. And seeing their house Prefect in panic too, she started to drift out from the lesson. They needed to do something for that girl, she's just a kid.

lazykitty 06-16-2012 01:17 AM

Well, that was nice. Not even a sarcastic 'gee I don't know'. Just 'lower your voice'. Pffft. While she agreed that lowering her voice was probably a good idea, wouldn't want to loose it after all, she was still slightly stung that that was all the aknowledgement she got.

And then Emmanuelle just sat there trying not to gape. Really!?!?!? Was Scabior serious?!?! Continuing class with a frozen person in the room?!?! What if all the joking around about the freezing being contgious turned out to be true? Of course, she didn't mention any of this because she didn't want a scene like what had happened in Potions.

Mad Eye Touz 06-16-2012 03:34 AM

It was hard to concentrate with that Prefect from her House and other House mates yapping about non-Atlantis-type things (ie frozen Gryffindors). Even with his odd looming and creepy smile-of-the-day - if Aspen was going to trust the judgement of a Professor - it was Scabior. He was saying, "Keep Calm and Carry On."

Aspen's House hadn't got the message. She wondered why? If Scabior wasn't shouting and running for the Nurse, then there was nothing to worry about.

"I think... that what we "know" about Atlantis is more ... what we've been toldabout Atlantis. It all sounds like things made up to tell muggles. Like, you know, what the Muggle Excuse Committee at the Ministry tells muggles when they see magic. Maybe we don't actually KNOW anything about the misplaced city."

Gabrielle 06-16-2012 03:43 AM

WHAT? Scabior wasn't going to do anything about Anya being frozen? Glenn was about to shout out when Louisa beat her to it. She looked over at her, "I agree with Louisa. You can't just CONTINUE the lesson when there is someone frozen in the room!" Glare at Professor.

In Potions, she'd assumed it was some kind of prank or... something from a potion in the air. But now? AND Scabior was just continuing on like it was no big deal? Atlantis. She didn't know anything about and she didn't care at the moment. She wasn't answering until that stupid Professor did something about Anya.

hpluvr037 06-16-2012 03:53 AM

Keefer watched the eagle-wraith's flight around the classroom with interest. I wouldn't have pegged Scabior for the eagle type. But still, the Captain had to admit there was a certain sense of 'fit' to the match.

Right. If Scabior wanted to resume the lesson as usual, then they would. Whether everyone else dramatic Claws and younger students would do so as easily was an entirely different question. In an attempt to live up to his leadership role, he acted as if nothing was amiss and simply answered the question with a raised hand.

"Well actually, there isn't really anything known about it besides the name. There's plenty of speculation, but nothing is cold, hard fact." And that, after all, is what the Professor had asked for. What they knew about Atlantis. "So the only thing I KNOW about the lost city is its name.. and that it's lost." If it ever existed.

RandomRaven 06-16-2012 04:10 AM

Heh?

How could the Professor become so calm like this even there was a frozen student in this class? Gary heard the Ravenclaw Prefect shouted to him. Nodded. She was right. At least they need to wait until the healer came and made sure that the little girl was okay.

Well, perhaps if the scary man froze in this class, the blonde guy didn't want to help and let him freezing alone.

Now, he couldn't pay attention to the lesson. How could they become focus if there was something wrong happen in this class? At least class dismissed like what Lafay had done in Potions.. Wait, that's because her step daughter was frozen too.

Hey Ju 06-16-2012 05:01 AM

Oh no... that was not good... Sophie was almost panicking inside. She just looked around the room as the commotion happened and did nothing else besides sitting there, feeling scared. It was an epidemic thing INDEED! And that was terrifying!!

But the show the lesson must go on... professor Scabior said so. Right... well, Sophie really didn't know anything about that Atlantis thing, so she once again sat quietly. Only this time she didn't look at her classmates as they answered the question. She kept looking stragith ahead, her mind elsewhere.

It seemed some people were not even unfreezing anymore! Wasn't it what was happening?? MERLIN, what if she freezes too?? She was getting afraid of breathing the common air now... what if it was a virus that was in the air??? Merlin, that was bad... that was so bad...

She obviously didn't stop breathing though... Obviously. Sophie was scared, not stupid...

FearlessLeader19 06-16-2012 05:06 AM

Jory was surprised the Professor was so cool headed about the frozen student. This freezing stuff was happening in almost every class now.

Trying to get his attention back to the lesson, the Puff thought of Atlantis. He had certainly read on this city and it fascinated him. Though he couldn't remember much on it now.

Jory raised his hand. "The most common fact which goes around is that they city sank, Professor,'' he said.

KP1 06-16-2012 05:18 AM

Derrick looked at the Frozen Girl behind him.Professor Sacabior didn't take much interest in her so he decided to take his lingering gaze of her.He turned his attention back to the Professor and said''Well all I know is it's a place under the sea and no one really knows if it's true.''

TeafortheSoul 06-16-2012 05:52 AM

West was trying to LEARN. GOSH people.

It wasn't that he was heartless, it was just, like his sister, he trusted that this professor wasn't freaking out because it wasn't worth freaking out over. And besides, he was OVER the fact that HIS classes were being interrupted.

He stuck his hand up. "Merpeople live there."

Basically.

weasleytwinsROCK 06-16-2012 08:08 AM

Atlantis.
The lost city of Atlantis.
That was all she knew. And that was stating the obvious. Everything else would've been guesswork, and to be honest, Daisy felt too lazy to answer as she started into space, tickling her chin with the tip of a quill that was writing nothing.

She looked around the class, half of whom were listening, the other half looking more interested in someone who'd been frozen. Frozen, really? And the professor wasn't gonna do anything about it. It was taking a lot of energy to stay concentrating and not to turn and gape at whoever had been frozen. It was getting tedious. Really tedious.

Lollipop! 06-16-2012 08:16 AM

Well, that was the end of Prefect Louisa.

Hmm, pity. Blue actually liked her. What was the big deal of freezing anyway? No Ravenclaws had frozen so, for the most part, there was no need to panic, people. The smarticles of the school would find a cure don't choo worry! What if they just plugged the Gryffindor's nose so that she would be shocked into unfreezing...? KISSING? Seriously? Eeeeeew. Blue narrowed her eyes and turned her attention back to Proffessor Scabior.

She raised her hand.

"It sunk, proffessor. And it features in muggle movies."

There.

She was basically a reference book, wasn't she?

Kaos.Doodles 06-16-2012 09:03 AM

Louisa glanced at the Gryffindor statue and threw her back against the chair. Not gonna answer till the Healer was here and took care of the girl.

No, the fact that he had a second year completely frozen in mid-action did not go unnoticed by the History of Magic Professor. In fact, he found himself glancing at the girl every thirty seconds just to see if there was any movement. But no, she remained still.

It was a big deal, but certainly not big enough to interrupt his class over. And so continuing made more than enough sense.

However the great Louisa Carter did not seem to think so.

"Oh?" Scabior raised a brow, not so much as blinking at her outburst. "How silly of me then to try and continue educating you in this school. What would you have me do Miss Carter? End class early?" Oh yes, he had heard about the Potions class that ended early a few days ago due to freezing. "Yes. Wise idea. Ending class early will be such a benefit to Miss Phillips over there. I'm sure that ending the class will just solve everything and result in her jumping for joy." He paused, still staring at the Ravenclaw.

"Or perhaps you wouldn't like just one class ending. Perhaps all classes should be put to a stop. Yes, just like when the chamber of secrets opened and the second wizarding world was going on, or even when that one student died a few years back. - Wait...classes didn't end those times at all...silly of me to think so." The reality of it, was that Scabior really wasn't trying to belittle her, he was just telling the truth, in his way. "Despite what you might say,I am certain that you are not blind or deaf Miss Carter, and so you saw my Patronus and heard me say that the Healer would be here momentarily. Attempting to move or disturb Miss Phillips without the proper knowledge how do might be disastrous."

Since that was all said and done, "Ten points from Ravenclaw for just annoying me, and if you do not like the fact that I am trying to teach, leave." There was the door, kindly exit it.

Annoying. Just annoying. And the fact that it was a Gryffindor made it more annoying.

Back to the class... Theo had never heard of Atlantis. But it sounded like it was from a disney film or something. Shrugging, he raised his hand, "Is it a make-believe place from a fairytale book?" It was a long shot.

He sighed. So class was still going to happen even with Anya froze in the middle of it. Asher raised his hand, still keeping an eye on Anya. "Seafood, Sir. They had plenty of seafood.... since its a lost colony under the sea and all."

Well, when Lily paused for a second to think of an answer, not much came to mind, except that it had supposedly just sunk into the ocean and vanished. But hadn't there been something about it dealing with Cleopatra?? Maybe that was something else. So the second year put her hand in the air to answer with the obvious answer. "It sunk into the ocean. And nobody has been able to find it." Yeah, that was good enough... Cue note taking position, for when all those other answers came flooding in. No freezing here...

Well would you look at that, the teacher is completely ignoring Anya and is moving on with class. Nigel was a little shocked about that. But only for a minute, until the Professor mentioned Atlantis.

Yes, he was happy he was right. But right now he was more worried about Anya and whether or not more people will freeze in the class. He did not what to see a repeat of what happened in potions. But the other students did snap out of it in a couple minutes. So Nigel thought. He would answer the Professor's question and wait for the Nurse to come.

Nigel actually knew a lot about Atlantis because it was so cool and mysterious about what happened to it. He raised his hand and said" Professor, it is an island that was first mentioned by Plato. And after it failed to to invade Athens, Atlantis sank into the ocean. It sank in only a single day and night." That is really fast for a whole island to disappear.

First Kurumi and now her, his friends, which were already few and far between, were slowly getting picked off by whatever was causing the freezing.

And Scabior simply wanted to continue after sending his patronus for the nurse. Yeah...Gideon now thought he was definantly less caring then Lafay, but then he wasn't legal related to the frozen student like the potions mistress to Sierra.

Okay Gert...you need to calm down and set a good example.

Which by what Louisa had just said...she wasn't following him in. And Ravenclaws were supposed to be the smart, responsible ones. "Atlantis is said to be an island. And some say it was lost during a shift in tides and possibly flooded," he answered after raising his hand and finally speaking up.

Oh look the boy who was sitting next to Anya was poking her maybe she'll snap out of the frozen thingy. But it seems the Gryffindor still not moving. How come the frozen thingy attack Anya? She's not a prefect.

Then he heard a Gryffindor probably younger than him suggest that someone should kiss Anya. Oh look someone who agreed with him. Hmm..Maybe he should give it a try since the poking obviously not working.

But before he could leave his table, the Professor said they need to get back to the lesson. WAIT. So leave Fancy be? Till the healer here? Eek! Was Messer heard the Professor right? But there's nothing he could do since Scabior already made up his mind. The Hufflepuff frowned before turning his gazed back to the Professor who's not in good mood anymore.

Oh so they're talking about Atlantis? Nice. What do they know about it? Beside that its lost? Hmm.. Messer raised his hand "It said that the city had a marvel of architecture and engineering, Sir." he said then Messer took another quick gaze to frozen Anya.

It was true. It was the lost city after all.

Jory raised his hand. "The most common fact which goes around is that they city sank, Professor,'' he said.

Back to his lesson. Dash took a deep breath, as a step to try to relax just a bit. It didn't work.

"I think we can all agree that the one thing the majority of your answers have in common, is that Atlantis is or is rumoured to be underwater." Yeah? Could they agree on this? There were other comments that he wanted to touch upon but would do so later. "Mister Vanderbilt was nice enough to give us the location of where some people believed Atlantis to have been located. Somewhere along the Greek Islands." Were they taking notes? Eh. He didn't even care at the moment. "While Miss Odessa figures we don't actually know anything about the misplaced city."

He let both theories essentially, sink in for a few seconds. "Now, many people side with Mister Vanderbilt and are certain that the city was along the Greek Islands, while others like Miss Odessa believe that we know nothing and it may just be a fable." Told out loud, and books, and movies. But there was something pressing about the whole thing.

"Why do you think there seems to be so much confusion around the City? Does it sound like a normal Muggle city to any of you?"

It seemed that many other students had already mentioned lots of things about Atlantis, so there was no need to repeat their ideas. Even thought the fourth year started recalled having read about it somewhere, and remembered a few speculations about where it could have been located, or other details about it, she decided to leave it like that.

Instead, her attention was drawn towards the frozen Gryffindor, and back to the Professor. He was NOT going to just leave her like that, was he?! Though it seemed like this was what he was doing. How can you simply continue teaching with a frozen student in class? And if the Gryffindor froze, wouldn’t a few others follow… Like in the other classes? Honestly… he is going to leave her there? Gwendolyn simply sat there with her arms crossed.

...

Ten points for just annoying him, and other ten points for being an idiot? How could he say THAT to students?! Okay, maybe panicking wasn't the best thing to do, even though students DID freeze out of nowhere, but how could he... not care? All he cared was his lesson. His lesson about a subject that happened to fascinate Nora.

Since the last thing she wanted was to lose points, the girl raised her hand, but she barely found her voice as she spoke. "Not really, professor. I think there might have been something magical about it."

"Ten points from you for being an idiot" If HAD been listening to what was going on in the class he probably would have been able to correct himself in bother fronts. The city, and the apparent 'petrified' student.

"You would like to wait, for the Healer? Is that not what we are doing right now Miss Greenwell? Waiting and learning. Unless you would rather wait in silence twiddling your thumbs." No. He wasn't going to waste his own time.

Cover her up? "No, she will stay as is." His voice was a little more patient, accommodating to what seemed like one of the handful of Ravenclaws that didn't want to push their luck. "We want to make sure that Miss Tilstorm finds her exactly how she froze." Not distributed or covered up.

"That's nice. Now tell me why I would care?" Please go on, duck boy.

"Oh?" Another brow was raised. "Can't I? Wow. I wasn't aware that as a Professor I was not allowed to continue my own class upon my own choosing." Really, that was a shock. He didn't know that. "Ten points from Hufflepuff Miss Reyes for so rudely informing me of what I can and can not do."

YES!!

YES, YES, YES!

This Professor...unlike all the others...was ignoring the ridiculous frozen-people outbreak!

Professor Scabior, you ARE the man.

.....but....Well, it was Anya...which wasn't cool.

Dylan threw a glance at her still form, trying to understand why she was joining the trend of people who lacked regard for the lessons and just froze. Finally sighing, he refocused on what they were talking about; he rubbed his face.

Atlantis...

Well, he could offer something...It most likely wasn't going to be right...but at least he was contributing something...and not freezing and being a pain in everyone's backside...

"Sir, I don't believe that Atlantis was a muggle city. I remember reading somewhere about it sinking directly after a lost battle...Perhaps the "Gods" favored them and when they lost the battle, it lost what was magical about it...and that's why it sank?" Meh, who knew, really? "...and to be honest, I believe both Vicky...I mean, Vickers and the Ravenclaw girl could be right. Maybe Atlantis...was in the Greek Islands at one point but then drifted?" With the way the current flows..and tides changing and what-not, who knew what happened?

And if it was a magical city, maybe it apparates as a whole somehow...?
