Divination Lesson 1 (Fortune Tellers) After making your long journey to the seventh floor and after ascending the Divination Tower you finally arrive at the trap door leading up to the Divination Classroom--what can you say, the Hogwarts Staff wanted only the dedicated students to attempt the subject. After climbing the ladder into the classroom you will see that the once nearly empty room from the two previous terms before is now full of desks again and many other items brought by it's new inhabitant. |
MOOOOOORE CLASSES. Theodore dragged himself to the Divination classroom, completely oblivious as to what the subject was. There was a lot here that he hadn't a clue about. But he kept his mind open. Ughhhhhh, why did it have to be so high up!!! After hesitating by the ladder, Theo very slowly hauled himself up and finally wandered into the room. He took a seat on one of the chairs, and looked around. One of the first again. Darn itttttttt. "H-Hullo, professor." |
Zhenya finally made it to the Divination class! Slightly puffing, she walked in and saw a new professor. Silly Zhenya for not paying attention to who was sitting at the staff table. She was only interested in the foor... clearly. "Hello Professor, I'm Zhenya," she said happily, relieved to take Divination again. She did not like that Centaur. |
The journey to the Divination tower on the seventh floor was NEVER a pleasant one. Why? Simple. Nora was a Slytherin. Slytherins lived down there, in the dungeons. There was a LONG way from there to the seventh floor. After climbing the ladder, she finally entered the classroom and her eyes drifted across the room directly towards the BEAUTIFUL parrot. But she wouldn't touch it. "Hello, professor," she smiled brightly at yet another unfamiliar figure, after which she took a seat somewhere in the front, waiting quietly for the lesson to start. |
Happy that he'd actually managed to get a good grade in his Divination OWL, his mum had trained him well, and last term's classes had been good. Climbing through the trapdoor, he saw the professor there "Hello professor" he said with a soft smile on his face before he took a seat about in the center of the group of chairs. |
Alyssa quickly made her way into the Divination Classroom, and was glad that she wasn't late. She noticed that all the desks and chairs were back where they belonged but before making her way to find a seat, she approached the new Professor and greeted her. "Hello Professor. Welcome to Hogwarts. My name is Alyssa Potter." Alyssa introduced herself. She then noticed a parrot sitting on a perch in the far corner of the room. It was very beautiful. "Your parrot is very handsome, Ma'am." Alyssa told the Professor before giving the parrot a little wave. Alyssa then made her way to a desk, sat down, took out her journal and writing materials and lay them on the desk, before sitting back and waited for class to start. |
Nigel left the Ravenclaw common room and made the short trip to the tower. He climbed the ladder and entered the classroom. "Hello, Professor I'm Nigel". He goes to take a sit and see if he like Divination or not. |
Taylor walked into the Divination Classroom, "Hello Professor." She curstied to the professor. Tay smiled at the lady. "Welcome to Hogwarts. I hope you have a lovely term." Taylor's smile sweeten, "I'm Taylor McIntyre." As she did another cursty, she noticed a parrot but didnt say a word about it as she went to a seat. |
Yeah, divination. Such a big deal. Nevertheless, João Neves was one of the few students to show up, because he wanted to leave his mark at school before he graduated. Being one of the top 5 students or something wouldn't be too bad. So, here he was, attending a class that would never benefit him in any way at all. Acknowledging the professor with a bow of his head, the boy found a desk somewhere in the middle and waited for the class to begin. |
Slightly out of breath Hannah finally made her way to the classroom. She walked in and immediately scrunched up her nose. What was that terrible smell? She glanced around and saw what looked to her as burning sticks. Must be muggle related because she had never seen anything like that before and she sure hadn't smelled anything like that. She finally noticed the professor and smiled at her. "Hello professor, my name is Hannah Lockwood." She could tell that the new professor was nervous, but she already seemed nicer than the new Charms professor. That was a plus in her book. She noticed that she was one of the first people to arrive so she took a seat towards the front and waited for the lesson to start. |
Sarah was to busy counting the steps she nearly forgot what she was doing on the 7th floor. Yet the classroom reminded her- divination. studying the future... Her first instinct was to open the windows, then she realized that was not her place, she then sat down at her place and pretended that this lesson was not wierd. "Hello Professor! My name is Sarah" she said and sat down at an availabble desk and preparef her materials. |
Damon walked up, his first class of the year, fun... Well it might give his mind off of all the drama, "Hello Professor, I'm Damon." He said kindly. |
It's been awhile since he has entered the Divination room. Jonathan barely paid attention to the subject and especially when the centaur professor was teaching this class not so long ago. Remembering him made Jonathan cringed. He deducted points from him, and Jonathan didn't like it one bit. Entering the room, he saw an empty spot up front and decided to sit there. Putting his bag on the side, he saw the new Professor with a smile. Smiling back, he greeted him "Hello Professor" and then took a seat. |

Kimalia climbed the tower for Divination. It was odd not having the centaur man teach them again.. for a few seconds. Her eyes caught the parrot before finding the new teacher. "Good day, Professor and welcome to Hogwarts." Kimalia smiled kindly before taking a seat. |

With hasty steps, the fourth year made her way along the corridor heading over towards the classroom. Even though Divination wasn’t one of her strong subjects, Gwendolyn was kind of eager of attending at this lesson. ‘Hello Professor’, the Ravenclaw said as she entered the classroom, quickly scanning the place, hoping to see some familiar faces around. And there was Nora! Gwen walked towards her friend with a smirk on her face. Only as she got closer, she was able to spot the… green in the Slytherin’s hair. She used the potion!, the fourth year thought, feeling actually relieved that the hadn’t done anything stupid while brewing the colour changing potion. She gave a bright grin to Nora, making a mental note of talking to her somewhere after class. ‘Mind if I sit here?’, the girl finally asked. |
Well, what can we say? Having a common room he had to walk to and from everyday, the trip to the Divination class almost seemed like a routine walk to Zeke. Now, Divination eh? I guess people here were taught to be divine? Blink. Yeah, that was probably it. On his way to take a seat, Zeke greeted yet another unfamiliar prof, Good day Professor. Then he proceeded to take one of the empty seats. |
Louisa, naturally, had climbed the stairs DOWN for this particular class. Yes, readers, she'd made sure to take the wrong road every single time for the past two terms and NOW when she was determined not to mess up, she did. The professor was a woman with two legs that climbed stairs. Duuh. Rather breathless the Ravenclaw walked into the classroom removing her bag from over her shoulder as she paused by the teacher's desk, "Hey... professor." Are those things burning what making breathing so hard or was it the thousand moving stairs she'd just raced? Moving on, eying the parrot on her way to an empty table, Louisa plopped down on a random chair. She needed OXYGEN. |
It was time for Divination! Ira hurried into the class, not wanting to be late, especially as there was a new professor this term. Slightly out of breath, she entered the class, and at once, scrunched up her face on smelling the burning incense. Nope, she didn't like that. And the room was as stuffy as she remembered it to be. Smiling, she greeted the professor, "Good Day Professor!" Then, she went ahead and plopped down, keeping her bag aside, waiting for the class to start. |

Silvia paused at the bottom of the ladder to catch her breath before making the climb up. She emerged into a stuffy classroom and looked around. "Hello, professor," she greeted before taking a seat in the middle of the room. Silvia hadn't taken Divination last term; she wasn't really sure if she trusted this kind of magic. After all, wasn't the future always changing depending on their actions and the decisions they made? At least, she thought so. And how could one predict the future if it was always changing? But with a new professor, she decided to put these thoughts aside and give it a try. It sounded like it could be interesting. And if she didn't like it, she could always withdraw later, seeing as this wasn't one of the required classes. |
Why was she taking Divination again? How on EARTH was this OWL going to benefit her AT ALL? Oh, that's right. Her mum wants her to be brilliant. Even though Delilah is everything BUT brilliant. The long journey from the dungeons to the Divination tower was a very long and difficult one, one which Delilah knew she was going to grow to resent. She'd decided to risk it today, and had her Superman socks on under her robes (which were slightly too long for her). As she entered the classroom, she looked over immediately to the teacher and smiled. As she made her way to a table, something REALLY REALLY BRIGHT AND COLOURFUL caught her eyes. It was a parrot! A real, living, breathing, possibly talking parrot! Delilah's mind instantly forgot about going to a table, and instead she found herself wanting to go and find out if the parrot could talk.... |

Which reminded her... "Loooook," she said enthusiastically, holding up the green strand of hair. "It worked!" |
Divination!! Lea could not decide if she should believe it to be useful or not but she very well knew one thing: It was going to fun! Ooor at least that was what she expected it to be simply because trying to read or guess or see the future was fun. It was fun! Not to mention that the dark-haired girl was in a fairly good mood today. With a rather wide smile on her face, the little and proud Gryffindor walked into the classroom. ''Hello professor!!!'' she greeted the new teacher with a shining smile right before the sight of the colourful bird took her attention. ''Hello yellow and blue bird!'' she greeted the parrot as well then after giving it a short wave, she chose a seat to herself from the front row, closest to the new professor. |
