Penelope didn't continue to read, save for the book she held in her hands, and that one she only continued to read every now and then partly because she liked it, partly because it made her feel close to her mother and father. Neither reason was she particularly wanted to share with anyone, so she didn't answer the question.

She continued her silence as people began partnering up and getting in groups, internally debating whether she could slip out of the library without being noticed. She wasn't sure how she felt about having to work with the others nor how they would feel about working with her. So she decided it would be best to keep her silence for now. Maybe once everyone was in their groups and there was no one leftover but her, she could simply be dismissed. She wouldn't mind.

Grrr.

Everyone else seemed to have been paired up already and the only person left was a firsty. Great. Deciding to just suck it up (after all, it was just one time, right?), Emmanuelle walked over to the younger girl and asked as nicely as possible "Do you still need a partner?" Kind of hoping she'd say no.

Kennedy grinned when Johnathan grasped his silent message. They were partners, but as he glanced around the room he noticed that there were more students than he ever expected in a book club. In his muggle school most students would pass up book club and go join football...cheer leading...Chess. Kennedy was some times the only person in book club.

This...this was much better.



At the corner of his eye he caught someone looking his way and out of curiosity he turned in their direction. His green eyes met Sierra's and he sent her a nod and grin along with a small wave. He heard her request for a partner or group and was about to open his mouth to invite her to his when another Slytherin boy spoke to her.

Well, at least she had a partner now.

Oh no, someone was making her way over. Penelope needed to work harder at blending in. The girl didn't appear too thrilled about coming over and asking if she had a partner though, even if she sounded nice while asking. "Yeah," Penelope answered, though frowning. "You don't have to be mine though." Since she was still planning on leaving if she could, and she wasn't sure what the point of working with someone you didn't want to work with would be.

Sophie laughed loudly when the Head Girl asked if she could call her Papaya. "Why would you do that?" She asked still laughing. If the girl had a good reason, Sophie wouldn't mind, really. She was really curious about that.

"Nice to meet you, Seleeeennna!" She repeated as the girl had said it with a grin.


Sophie turned her head around when she heard someone speaking. "Oh, hi again, Zhenya!" Yaaaay! Their group was now complete!

Once again Sophie laughed out loud. She liked laughing, so she liked the Head Girl! "Cool! I like the name!" Even though she wouldn't be able to say the word.

The Librarian said they would be reenacting something?? How long would they have to waaaait?? Sophie was extremely excited to start!! This was going to be awesometasaekmgrnglwr... like their group name! WOOP!

Nerida smiled and said Thank you, both of your names are very pretty! Playing your parents, that was um nice...So none of them had acted before, should be intresting right? She took Elliot's hand and shaked it. Intellegent absolutely but mature haha sometimes she was but sometimes many could disagree with that statement... but it seemed that they had agreed on it so she said Yes most definetaly!! Nerida raised an eyebrow at Elliot what was wrong with her name and what did she mean with for now? She smiled over at Ella who agreed with the team name, she smiled and said I am thirdteen what about you? They both looked around her age, thirdteen or twelve possibly...

Sierra sort of edged off to the side. She hated these awkward moments when it seemed like everyone but her had a partner or group. She really hated the whole asking process. It just seemed needy, and she hated that. So here she was edging off to the side when she heard the sound of some boy behind her. Spinning around, she thought to herself that the voice sounded sort of familiar, and so she wasn't surprised when it was a Slytherin she found behind her.

"Oh, hey, Jonathan," she said. "Yeah, sure. Cool." Jonathan was on her good side. He was a snake, and their fathers worked together. This earned him points for power.



...and now partners seemed to be coming by the multitudes. Well, not multitudes, but two more than she had earlier. "Well, you're a Ravenclaw. Partnering up with you at a book club meeting seems like the smart thing for us to do."

There was a yes in there somewhere.



Noticing Jonathan looking her way, Sierra gave him one quick nod of approval. "So I guess we'll be acting out...something soon," she said, giving a random comment seeing as there wasn't really much else to say. Other than that, she didn't say anything. Not much sense in getting into an all out conversation when they were just going to have to stop soon anyway.

...and seeing as she already knew these people, there was no need to do the whole awkward introductions thing either.



Sierra couldn't help the fact that her eyes grew slightly wide at the sight of Kennedy's smile and wave. She still couldn't get used to the fact that she turned into a ridiculous lovestruck girl when Kenendy was around. It made her feel powerless...

...but she couldn't help it.

Smiling, she waved back at him before turning back to her group.

It was a good thing that he didn't have to do much to find partners, since he was stuck in a chair and all, so West just BEAMED at the big boy, both for asking and because he said Which Broomstick. "I read Quidditch stuff TOO." And the Daily Prophet... in case there was stuff about his dad or anything. And who was Professor Williamson gosh that was a long name? West figured it out pretty quick though when the man spoke to him.

West watched Williamson and Keefer's fist pounding with fascination and then held up his own fists -both of them- and tried it out too, pounding his own fists together.

Yeah! He was ready to do whatever it was he was supposed to be doing. And maybe after someone would help him out of the beanbag.

"I didn't know people were so into books either," he admitted to Keefer after a long, slow look around the room. "It seems Book Club sure brings the worms out of the woodwork though, eh?" The BOOKWORMS, that is! Baddddumpshhhh.

Willy then sat sorta quietly as the tiny boy next to him explained why he read, and what he read, in a way. At least he threw in his name, which Willy swore to himself he'd try to remember. Shame his mind just wasn't what it used to be.

"Nice to meetcha, West!" he answered loudly, pretending not hear all that stuff about liking him since it just made the tips of his ears go red. Errrrr. "What do you guys think we'll have to do for this acting thing?" He had a feeling he'd be an awful actor, no matter what role he had.

Pretty? Elliot loved her name...but she would hardly call it pretty. Elliot was pretty...a pretty person. But not her name. She did nod in appreciation, though, and didn't state her thoughts. She knew when to keep them to herself.

"I made thirteen last April. I will fourteen this year. So we're all the same age..ish? That works. The younger ones would..." she eyed a few of them, "be interesting to deal with, to say the least. I met one of the first years in the new playground the other day...she was, er, energetic." she said, with a half-scowl, if that's possible, but she did smile a little. That girl..she hadn't gotten around to asking her name...was a little ball of energy! And Elliot NEVER remembered behaving that way. It just wasn't proper.

Adarian Hunter who liked and acting and used to be in Drama club. Got it. "Excellent! Pleasure to meet ya." Paulie smiled and looked to the girl who also seemed to be a big fan of acting. YUSSSSSS. This meant that their group was totally gonna have fun with this.

"It's nice to meet you as well, Nora." And if she loved acting like she said she did, then that meant that she was enthusiastic about it, which meant that she MUST have been decent at it. Even in spite of her unsure comment.

Paulie wondered what they would be assigned to act out. One of their own books, maybe? "So, what books did you guys bring, again? Mine was Where The Wild Things Are."

So, she didn't know what they were supposed to be doing in these groups. Perhaps it was because she was too busy making noises with her beanbag... she was beginning to think that she should have actually listened to the new librarian.

Seren observed the interaction between Sarah and Ira, and not bothering to introduce herself seeing as they should and did already know who she was.
"Acting?" she asked, jumping in on the conversation.
Oh sweet Mother of Merlin, tell her they weren't acting.
"If so, than you might want to kick me out of the group ... I couldn't act to save my life."

Sarah just nodded. Yeah, it's easy to mingle with those who want to. Sarah thought about a wild girl she had met at the Pick 'N' Pack. I wouldn't want to mingle with that one! The lions were a decent bunch of people and it was fun to be around the others as well. When Ira said something about acting, she came back to their conversation. "Emm.." she dragged a bit. "I'm OK with acting. Well I'm not a great stage artist, but I've done a few muggle plays back at home" she said. "Ah, mostly I'd just come in for a scene or two" she added, not wanting to scare off Ira.

Sarah laughed. Oops, you don't laugh at professors. "Sorry professor" she said, with a glint of smile in her eyes. She couldn't help but laugh at the professors' choice of words. "Then we'd all have to be kicked out together" she said, "Probably we'd be the best realistic acting team" she put that up in a positive way.

Derrick looked around to see a Slytherin Girl who looked his age.He thought about his answer before saying''Sure.''He said smiling.''I'm Derrick by the way.''

Elise jumped a little as she heard a voice saying 'Hello' but smiled when she realized it was another student. So now she wouldn't have to leave because she didn't have a partner. Thank Merlin.

"That'd be nice," she nodded. "I'm Elise, but you can call me El." Or rabbit girl, she added silently.

Now everyone had a partner. Except her. Partnerless. Lilly saw the new sixth year that she met and the feast and hurried over to him, tripping over her own feet as she went. That happened to her a lot. Mind if I join you, Derrick?" she asked hopefully, before aiming her very short attention on the Slytherin girl he'd partnered up with. Maybe Rose was right about snakes, this one didn't actually seem too bad. "I'm Lilly, by the way." All information needed.

Derrick quickly turned around to see A girl he met at the Opening Feast.He was unsure about her name but then the answer came.''Hey Lilly.''He said smiling.That was her Name.

Nerida smiled and said Thats cool, my birthday is also in April when is yours? Mine is April 1st. She looked around at the youngins and said Yes, I dont think I would have the patience...Yes I meet one in the Muggle Studies Magic Free Zone she was 'special'. She may have been special but she was sure fun to talk to, in special she meant she was bouncing off the walls crazy special, though not the other kind of special... Yeap, so What year are you in? If they were around the same age they were obviously in third or second, goodness Nerida! Where did your Ravenclaw go??

Where The Wild Things Are?

"I haven't heard about that one," Nora said as she blushed juuuust a little bit, wondering if it was some muggle book. If so, there was no surprise she didn't know it. As for her book... she quietly held up her copy of Tales of Beedle the Bard. Nothing too special in there, but the book used to be her favourite when she was younger, and when her parents used to read her a story every night, or else she refused to sleep. And yes, she knew the stories by heart.

"Nice to meet you Derrick." The blonde answered with a smile before holding her hand out towards him "I'm Cass by the way." She then set herself down on the recently vacated bean bag beside him "So, what year are you in?" She asked. He looked like they were the same age, maybe older? She wasn't quite sure.

Ira blinked. And blinked some more.. Had Professor Bentley seen and sat on those bean bags for the first time? It did seem that way, seeing how the professor was trying out all sorts of positions of sitting and making as many types of 'bean bag noises' as possible. All this made Ira giggle a little, but she shut up wisely.

"Um.. yeah Professor Bentley.." Ira replied, "That's why we formed groups in the first place!" she said. And so, thank Merlins that it wasn't an individual activity.

But yes, Ira was definitely glad and feeling better seeing that she wasn't the only one bad at acting and stuff. She had her own head of house to give her company, right?
OK with acting? What did that mean huh? A few muggle plays? Ira raised her eyebrows a bit in admiration and a bit in excitement. And anyways, this fact meant two things, one, that Sarah was a muggleborn.. and two, that their group still had a wee bit of chance at winning! "Wow! You actually went up on stage and.. acted in front of an audience?" That sure was great. Especially for Ira, seeing that she had stage fright.

Ira grinned and giggled. "Ooh! We're the best realistic acting team!! Yayy!!" Ira exclaimed in a playful way.

Ella smiled when Nerida complemented her name. "Thanks Nerida, yours is too. I've never heard that name before." Nope. It was definitely unique. As for how old she was, Ella stood a little taller and replied. "I just turned twelve. My birthday is at the start of term so it comes and goes pretty quickly." Not that Ella minded, she hated being the center of attention.

Ella smiled when the two girls started talking about the younger students. She didn't mind their energy one bit. In fact, she found it quite endearing. It helped a little that she was usually pretty energetic herself. "I've met a few really nice first years. I think they are just excited to be at Hogwarts. Who wouldn't be? This place is great."

"Oh, yeah, we did, you're the girl who has thehard name to pronounce. Nice to see you again.". She then saw her gesture to another girl in grou named, Butterfly?". She turned to the girl and held out her hand, "Hi, Butterfly, it must be awesome to be named after an animal".

Narumi had heared the question while waiting to slip in. She said I think people read to get enjoyment out of it and just to learn more things... She looked around, did anyone need a partner still??
