Post #1 Okay so now they were actually going to handle the seeds, replanting and repopulating them as Professor Bentley had mentioned earlier. With his notes up to date, including the last part the woman had added, Gideon got up to his feet from his perch to start on his work. He slipped on his dragon hide gloves and left his belongings to retrieve a pot and goggles. Once he had selected one that he was satisfied with, The Gryffindor brought them both back to his work area. He was about to simply cast the spell when he decided he wanted to claim it as his own to look after its growth. Sometimes it was more fun that way, to see how it progressed over time rather then just plant and forget it. Debating on how to do so, Gideon finally attempted to mark it with ink from his quill. It took a few swipes but eventually he got a decent-looking GG on the side of the pot so he and others could see it belonged to Gideon Gert at least for the term. "Now for charming the pot..." Gideon mused quietly almost to himself, picking up his wand. Focusing on what they had just learned with the spell, he took a deep breath before doing what he had to do. "Chaudensis," he cast, his wand moving as directed in the circular motion. The 5th year felt the spell take effect, letting go of his focus as he figured it to be working well enough. Quote:

Post #3 After Kennedy made sure the soil was warm he stood up and put his dragon hide gloves on, and went to retrieve a fire seed. He slowly walked back with the single seed, he didn't want to risk dropping it. When he got back to his working area, Kennedy slowly and very gently placed the seed on top of the soil. There. He had to remember that this was NO regular seed he was dealing with, so no cold water for it. Then he saw one of his snakes...oh no. More points have been taken away. He took a deep breath, trying not to frown, although his was internally twitching. SPOILER!!: Notes |
Post 4 SPOILER!!: Selina's Check List Nothing was burning. That was a good sign. Perhaps the fire seed was not as dangerous as Selina had made it out to be in her head. It was just that Selina did not like the whole concept of dealing with fire in a greenhouse which was full of flammable items. The whole thought process kind of frightened her. But the seed was fine and so was Selina. Her health was a-okay so she looked down at her check list for the next instructions. After reading her next task she walked across the room and got more soil. Sprinkling it on top of the seed she was extra cautious this time around. Once she felt good about the whole soil thing she pat down the rest of it and made sure she did not suffocate the plant. She put to much energy into this project now to kill it. |
Minerva smiled "Ok, thank you for a great lesson professor. Have a great day." Minerva then got her bag and headed out of the greenhouse. |

Then Lily moved her pot over to where the professor had indicated. She then returned to her workstation and cleaned up the area before saying farewell to the professor and heading on her way out of the greenhouse, and back to the castle. |
#5! FINISH HIM! Watering the Fire Seed! SPOILER!!: Oakey's Notes Oakey looked around his station to see that he did not retrieve his watering can. He quickly went over and grabbed one and hurried back to his station. taking his wand out once more He cast Aguamenti (and silently at that) into his watering can. He spoke for the next spell though, saying Chaudensis doing the wand movements and heating his watering can. He picked it up and poured it slowly into the pot, stopping once the watering can was about half empty. |
Silvia put her name on her pot and carried it over to the corner indicated by Professor Bentley. Then she returned the watering can and the goggles and straightened up her workspace. After she finished cleaning, she picked up her bag and proceeded to leave. "Bye," she said to the professor on her way out. |
3 Now, making sure his pot was safe, Adam went over to a table, making sure he had his dragonhide gloves on an picked out just one tiny fire seed. He then placed it on the soil. There, he was done with the 3rd part of the instructions for the day. He looked around the class an saw several students finishing up. Adam's stomach turned in knots as he seemed to be a little behind then everyone else, as they cleaned their area an were walking out of class. SPOILER!!: Task |
Selena heard the professor say that they were dismissed after they cleaned up and grinned. Good. She was getting a bit tired and still had a day of classes ahead of her. She put her name on her pot, adding on it a picture of a pygmy puff "Bye Professor Bentley, enjoy the rest of your day!" Selena chirped, choosing that moment to swap her gloves for a well-deserved chocolate bar. She had just done some serious planting after all. "This was an awesome lesson," Selena added, taking a bite out of her chocolate bar then skipping out of the greenhouse and towards her next class. |
#1 Angelina pulled out her wand once again. She was about to cast the spell when she remember she should put her gloves on! Once she had her gloves on and ready to go, and held out her wand, pointing at the pot she said, "Chaudensis." As she said that, she moved her wrist in a circle. Good now she was ready for part two! SPOILER!!: NOTES |
Post #2 With the pot charmed, Gideon was free to retrieve the next item he would need...a bucket that he proceeded to fill with soil that had been provided. Satisfied with the amount within, he carried it back to his spot once more. He then proceeded to scoop up handfuls of it at a time, empting his grasps into the pot until it was half-full as directed. Two steps down...three to go, he mused to himself as he dusted his hands off. Quote:

1 1. Charm pot to heat itself. Well, this was interesting. Hades went to retrieve a pot and a pair of goggles before returning to his space. Withdrawing his wand from the holster, he kept reminding himself it wasn't a 'cow', but a 'chau'. Like a chow-down or something. Wand pointed at the pot before the boy made a circular motion with it. "Chow-den-sis," he spoke softly, but firmly while his free hand touching the pot lightly to make sure the charm was performed correctly. SPOILER!!: Instructions |
#2 Angelina took some soil and pulled in over to her spot she was working at. Taking a good amount of she tried filling the pot half way and left it in the pot to let it rest for a while. Looking to see if she had any left over soil, and she did, she took it back to were the rest of the soil was. SPOILER!!: NOTES |
Oakey brought his pot over where each of the others were. He carefully placed it down because just as the Professor said, the vines started wrapping around his arms. Slowly and carefully back out of the area the vines released him. Thank you for the wonderful class Professor Bentley. He said, but before she could respond to his nice remark he was gone. |
2 2. Fill half of pot up with soil and let it rest for several minutes to warm up. Time to put on the dragonhide gloves, thus he took them out from his bag and wore them. Hades scooped the soil and filled until half the pot. Then, he wiped his forehead with his sleeve, relaxing himself. Merlin! How he hated warm temperature. Maybe because he was used to cold temperature in the north that his body can't stand a little heat. SPOILER!!: Instructions |
#3 Sence Angelina already had her dragon hide gloves on she took the one fire seed carefully and placed it on the top of the soil. She double maked sure it was alright, and yes everything was all good.. she hoped. SPOILER!!: NOTES |
# 2 Part one completed Jezz bent over her notebook to read step two. Filling the pot up halfway with soil and then letting it warm. It seemed easy enough. She looked at her pot and began to very carefully add the soil to it. She didn't want to mess up so it took a little more time than usual as she added little by little. If she rushed it and just poured willy-nilly, then she might add too much. She looked over her instructions again. Let it rest and warm up for several minutes. She looked at the watch on her wrist that hid under her glove. Fifteen minutes ought to do it. By then it should be nice and warm. She grabbed her pen not caring if the soil got on her things and crossed off the completed step. SPOILER!!: "Jezzabelle's Paper |
Post #3 Alex took off his glove and lightly touched the soil, pleased to find that it had heated up relatively fast and was nice and warm to the touch. Time for the seed! He stood up, put his gloves on again and made sure both his goggles and gloves were fastened tight, and then headed over to the professor to get his seed. He picked one up and held it in his cupped hands...if it was a cold winters day, this would be a lovely way to warm up your hands but on a warmer than average fall day, like today, it was not that pleasant. He placed it carefully on top of the soil and waited, listening to a very faint crackling as it made contact with the soil. |
Post #4 As he tried to take a hold of himself Kennedy breathed in and then out. There. Calm as a toad. He looked down at his notes and read the next step. It was time to cover the fire seed. He took the small shovel thing he had been using to pick up soil. Taking a good amount of it he sprinkled soil over the seed and did that until it was covered. Then, with his gloved hand, he very gently patted the soil. SPOILER!!: Notes |
3 After a few minutes, Hades touched the pot lightly to make sure it was warm enough. After confirming, he put on his dragonhide gloves, went up to the table and carefully retrieved the fire seed. Upon reaching his pot again, he cautiously settled the seed on the soil. SPOILER!!: Instructions |
Taylor put her pot where the professor dierected the class too. The vines tried to hug her but she just pushed them gently away while stroking them so that they could get some affection. She went over to her work station again and cleaned it up. She double checked to make sure it was clear fully. To the professor, "THanks for the great lesson. I hope you have a nice day." She smiled sweetly and left. |
Post #1 SPOILER!!: Kimalia's notes Right then, Kimalia already claimed a pot, and goggles. *Snaps them on* Ready to go! Correctly moving her wrist for the wand movement, she aimed at the pot. "Chaudensis." Quickly she touched the pot, it was cold at first touch but gradually the pot began to warm. To test it, she counted up to 20 placing a different finger on the pot before she felt satisfied with the temperature. Okay then, next up.. |
4 Slowly and carefully, Hades covered the seed with a thin layer of soil and patted it gently. Despite the fact he had the gloves on, he was still afraid that he might burn his hand or suffocate the seed. Herbology was one of the toughest subject, that was true. Although it was also really interesting. SPOILER!!: Instructions |
#4 Angelina always seemed to be extra carefull while she did this in class! She didn't want to do any damage to what she was doing, so she took a while long them the class.. just a bit. Looking at her notes she went down the list making sure she has completed what was there. She found that she was now going on step 4. Reading it over, she looked at the pot and the fire seed. 'cover fire seed with soil, so that pot is filled. Pat the soil down a little (not too much, you don't want to suffocate it.' she read from the notes she took. Placing her notes ot the side, she looked once more at the pot and everything inside it. Maybe she shouldn't have put the soil back just yet... Angelina walked back to get soil again, and she placed it on top the bottom soil and fire seed. She made sure the pot was filled. After she patted the soil a bit to make sure it was sacure.. but not too much. SPOILER!!: NOTES |
Logan put his pot away and cleaned his space. He looked at his robes and noticed a little soil on them. He sighed and brushed it off with his hand. "Goodbye, Professor. Have a nice day!" he said smiling and walking out of the classroom. He sighed. He had made so many mistakes today! He made mistakes in EVERY. SINGLE. CLASS (so far). |
