She was all ready for the Hogwarts express today. Wand? Check. Make ups? Check? Body scrub? Check. Hair Care? Check? Yes, she was vain. It was never denied.

Erin looked for her friends so that she'll not be left alone in an empty compartment with no one to share it with. And then, someone would gate-crash her place, bully her and she'll regret that she'd even boarded the train. Yes, she was a girl who considers the outcomes of her doings. And that was a good thing.

While looking around, she noticed someone, a first year more likely, who was sitting on bench alone, a person who's black in color. "You're a black person!" Erin exclaimed.

Caelyn knew it was only a matter of time before someone joined her in her empty compartment. The train was so packed with kids of all ages that she considered herself lucky to find an empty one in the first place. Feeling woozy from looking out the window, she turned away, legs still crossed and pulled out a packet of bubblegum from her bag. Yesssss, that would calm her down. Or hype her up...

But what if the train went over a bump and she accidentally swallowed it?

The door creaked open suddenly, and Caelyn looked up but was still focusing on not swallowing the gum in her mouth. "Err.." She responded to the girl's first half-inquiry. But then she stopped.

"Okay then." The blonde smiled, and straightened her legs out from the crossed position. "Hey there, nice to meet chu." She gave her gum a quick chew. YUMMMEHHHH, it tasted so good. "I'm Caelyn, and I'm kinda new so please be nice." She chuckled. Only jokin, the girl looked nice.

However, now that she had revealed her 'newbie' status, she was now vulnerable. Crap.

Messer pushed himself and the trolley through the crowd. He was here! In the King's Cross station and he finally old enough to abroad the Hogwarts Express. He has to hold himself from jumping up and down when he saw the train for the first time. It was HUGE and did he already said HUGE?

There're a lot of people there. He didn't know that it'd be this crowded. There're sooooooo many faces but he can't find someone that he know. That mean he needs to make some new friends so the ride won't be so boring.

She stared at... Emm... she didn't know her name so the girl looking the other way so she moved her head slowly the other direction

Ehh.. WHAT? O__O

She peeped over her shoulder it was nothing... OK-AY

''Nice to meet you'' Oh she was a newbie?That's why she didn't know her... She looked about her age atleast thirteen right? maybe fourteen she didn't know... She wasn't a firstie if that was the case she wouldn't be talking to her not that she was snobbish but..thaatt..She was moody somtimes and she didn't like taking it out on ickle little firsties even though she didn't do so before... ''Caitlyn! Cuute,'' Nice? yeah that was possible she could try right? ''Oh so what year you going into... I'm going in third,'' she smiled and looked around

Aurora was pushing her trolley down the platform, ready to board the train and looking for someone she knew. Nope... nobody down here it seemed. Suddenly, Sebastian jumped off from his seat on her trolley and ran off towards a young boy. A boy with lace up shoes on...

Aurora followed the white cat who was now playing with the kids shoelaces. "Um, hello... sorry about him." she said to the boy, bending down to scoop Sebastian up into her arms. "He likes shoelaces..."

Caelyn nodded, then an awkward silence followed. DANG, she hated those. Without even thinking, she blew a bubble with her gum, (and she was a bubblegum pro, mind)... the bubble went huge until it popped all over her face. Her cheeks reddened as she got the murky bits off her nose and chin. Why did she always humiliate herself like this? WHY.

"Sorry, uh... Always get a bit carried away with gum.." Yea... that didn't sound too creepy, right? Gosh, now her face was all sticky. The thirteen year old reached into her bag once again, wrapped her used gum into some paper, and pulled out a wet wipe to clean her face. Much better. Coughing shortly, Caelyn looked back to LuLu. Right... HUH?
CAITLYN? She was pretty sure that she did not introduce herself with a 'T' in the middle of her name.

Nope. That would not do.
"CAELYN, actually." The blonde almost bellowed. "Reeeeally? I'm going into third year, too!" That was lucky. She would probably feel very patronised if LuLu was a seventh year. But she did look young so there wasn't too much worry there. "You're a returning student then?" She asked, then paused, "You must tell me all about Hogwarts!"

"I'm talking... nice teachers, mean teachers, secret hideouts, most fun places. Ya get my drift?"
THIS KNOWLEDGE WAS ESSENTIAL.

Messer was standing there in the middle of the south platform when something decided to chew his shoelace. "What the..?" he looked down and saw a white cat. Heh?! A cat chewing his shoelace? How cute! The eleven year old was about to pick the cute creature himself when a girl already scoop the cat up.

"That's okay. He didn't eat the whole thing up anyway." Thank Merlin that he's not or he'd left without a shoelace in his shoes. "He likes shoelaces?! For a moment I thought there was something in my shoelace that made him to chew it." he chuckled. "He's sooooo cute. Can I pet him?" Pwease.

Harvey nodded as Prudence spoke "Yes I know what you mean.. I have heard that twins can communicate without saying a word.. and I guess" he looked at Minnie and then back to Prudence "it could be the same way with us as well.. sometimes we just sit there saying nothing.. so yes it could be like that.." he said smiling as he saw Prudence grin sheepishly as she ran her fingers through her hair..

Aurora smiled at the kid, "Yeah, he plays with them all the time... that's why I don't have them." She gestured to her boots; She had removed her shoelaces and replaced them with a few safety pins. "Else he'd follow me round all day." He did anyway... but at least she knew that was because he loved her... and not just for her shoelaces. "Sure, he's called Sebastian." She shifted the fluffy white bundle of fur in her arms so that he was looking at the boy. "He's very friendly... I'm Aurora by the way."

LuLu put her hand up to her mouth to stop her from giggling. She smiled at her and rooted in her bag for tissues wipes or SOMTHING! She handed them to her ''I had that experiance in front of many more people so your alright,'' she winked at her even though wasn't much of a wink.. more like a squint since she was looking in her bag again

Caelyn? Oh... AWKWARD ''Sorry never heard of any name like that I probably heard you right bt then heard you wrong cause i'm not much with names,'' she didn't know if she'd understand but she just took that she did

OOOOOoooooohhhhhhh!!! Another third year they seemed to all dissappear... Scary! ''Yer...'' she thought that was quite obvious but possibly not! ''Yeah sure!,'' she nodded! ''Teachers? Well there's two new teachers no three so I can't say about the DADA teacher the CoMc teacher and th runes teacher lucky though they weren't all exactly... great,'' she grimaced! The Runes teacher she did not understand like EVER? The man was very poor in English it was actully sad!

Oh, that was clever of her changing the shoelaces with pins.

"Hey there Sebastian." Messer pet the white cat. "My sister has a cat too but he's not too friendly." He still remembered when that creature scratched his hand because he accidentally spilled his food. "Nice to meet you Aurora. I'm Messer." he gave the girl a polite nod. "I'll be starting my first year this term. How about you? What year are you?" She seems a little older than he is. Maybe a third or a fourth year?

Sebastian purred as the boy stroked him. Aurora grinned, "And you, Messer." Weird name... maybe he was really messy or something and that was his nickname... "I'll be in fourth year. Slytherin." she added, "D'you know what house you want to be in?" she asked, remembering her first term. She'd been pretty certain she'd be in Slytherin... it was a family thing - except with her uncle... he'd been... different - but other kids didn't seem to know... or even care.

The cat was soooo cute. His sister should probably change her cat with someone more friendly like Sebastian.

Aurora is a Slytherin?! :blink: She doesn't look like one. She's really nice not like the scary Slytherin girl he met back in the Diagon Alley. Maybe not all the Slytherin was bad. "Yes. I'm hoping for Hufflepuff." Its his mother house, he always wanted to be put in the same house like her. "So are you excited for your fourth year?" Because he's certainly is.

He WANTED to be a Hufflepuff..? Weird... not that there was anything wrong with Hufflepuffs... Alex was a cool Hufflepuff... though, you know, most of them were pretty odd... all huggy and that. "Oh, cool." she said, smiling. Was she excited..? "Yeah, 'course! Though I have a load of extra studying to do and stuff." Urgh... extra work. "What are you looking forward to most?" she asked, then noticed she was making small talk and thought to herself; Hey! Look at me! I'm like... making friends. Sure with a first year... but I'm doing it!

Logan walked as quickly as he could, he wanted to be as far away as possible from Cardigan. Once he was sure he was out of sight, he slumped against a wall and sat down on the ground. Ugh. Why had he been so stupid?! Now Cardigan would hate him forever...she'd never talk to him again! He watched as his cat, Peeta, made his way to him.

Keefer lugged his things toward the train and set them down to catch his breath. He looked around, hoping to see someone he knew. It was almost a hopeless task, given the amount of steam that made it hard to see more than five feet in any direction. He sighed. Guess I'll have to to wait for it to clear up a bit.

As she walked onto the platform, one hand pushing the trolley carrying her trunk and Cally's cage and the other hidden in her pocket, Vashti couldn't believe it was time for her seventh year to start already. She also couldn't believe the badge she now had in her pocket. How long should she keep it there, anyway? Should she put it on now? when she got on the train? when she got to Hogwarts? She had no idea. Hopefully she'd be able to find one of the other prefects - surely they'd know when was the right time to wear their badges.

She might've wandered around a bit more, lost in thought as she was, until she spotted a familiar face a few feet away. Merlin! "Caroline!" she called, grinning and walking over to the older girl. "Hey! What're you doing here?" Perhaps she'd found a way to get back into Hogwarts after graduating? Heh.

Claudia was smiling at how Minnie, Harvey and Prudence were trying to tell her that she wouldn't have access to WiFi or Internet service, BUMMER!! when she felt a tap on her shoulder and turned to see, Alyssa. "Hey there, you changed your mind huh? Hey guys, guess who's back." Claudia told the group pushing Alyssa in front of her. "Alyssa, this is Prudence. Prudence, this is my twin that I'm talking about. I think that from her being here, that I'm time here is done. Looks like I'm going back to Salem after all and to my wonderful computers," Claudia grinned and giving everyone a big hug, she said goodbye to all of them.

Alyssa gave Minnie and Harvey a hug and stuck out her hands to shake Prudence. "Hi there Prudence, like Claudia told you, my name is Alyssa. Yep! I'm her other twin. From the conversation you guys were having I'm guessing that she was trying to find out whether there was any internet service up in Hogwarts. I'm not sure whether Dad will be glad that she's going to back to Salem but at least it'll just be one of us instead two of us. I never did tell you guys but one of the other reasons why I was sent to Hogwarts was because I was the other hacker of the infamous FedCom duo. Dad needed to split us up. Shhh....that's a secret," Alyssa told the others with a grin. "Min and Harvey it sure is good to be back."



Alyssa smiled when she heard a familiar voice. Was that Alec? "Alec is that you? We met in Diagon Alley. I heard from Claudia that she met you earlier. I guess she used some fancy magic to repair Adeline's glasses. It's good to see you again," she said giving Alec a hug.



"Oh, Prue, don't worry about it. These guys act mushy all the time." Alyssa grinned at both Minnie and Harvey. "We can hang out together and be the 'girls who don't have boyfriends club' whenever the couples decide to get to lovey dovey for us." Alyssa hooked her arm with Prudence grinning at her.



Alyssa couldn't help but eavesdrop on the conversation between the younger girl and the older boy. She sure was taking him for a loop. One thing for sure he definitely had a sense of humor and lots of patience. He seemed very nice too. Not many older students would have the time or patience to entertain a younger girl.

So Alyssa stepped up to him and said,"You have a great way with the little ones. She really played you but you were nice enough to go along with it. My name is Alyssa by the way. Maybe I'll see you in school sometime." She smiled at him and went back to join the group.

Then Alyssa saw another familiar face. She ran up to him and jumped on his back. "KEEFER!! It's so cool to see you again. I'm back and I heard that you're the new Quidditch Captain huh? Guess I'm going to have to try out and give you some grief." Alyssa grinned as she got of his back.

Rose was looking for Logan, after she promised him that she'd look after him on the train. She had become rather friendly towards the boy, and didn't know why. Yet. She saw him leaning against a wall, looking annoyed with himself, and she frowned. 'You alright?' she asked him, sitting down beside him.

"Well ALyssa it is good to have you back." Minerva smiled "So the innocent Alyssa isn't as innocent as we thought?" Minerva giggled at this.

Logan felt a little better at the sight of Rose. She then sat next to him. "Well, not really." he admitted.

Rose sighed and looked at him. Maybe she could... Take his mind off of things with her eyes? Hey, it sometimes worked, people could feel happier if they saw reassurement in others' eyes... 'Wassup, what happened?' she asked quietly.

Logan looked at Rose when she looked at him and didn't hear what she said. Her eyes were so....he shook his head. "R-right...wait...wh...what did you say? I d-d-d-didn't quite catch i-it.." he said her.

At least that was some comfort...each girl sticking to their own choice of nickname to torture him with on their own accord. That way he wouldn't be mixing anyone up, simply groaning at both their efforts. "I kinda figured that...so I guess I'll have to brace myself," he replied, being truthful about his plans. He just hoped he was cut out for being their toy. Speaking of which he wondered what was taking his mother and Kacie so long, but he couldn't dwell on that too much for he had to deal with the man in front of him him.

Gideon couldn't be sure if that was a bad thing or not coming from the elder Skylar. Maybe he simply needed Selina more then returning the greeting. Or was ignoring him at the moment because of his status of his daughter's boyfriend. He just couldn't let it get to him and bother him because he suspected that was how protective father's of daughters worked and no doubt his father would be like that when Kacie was old enough to date.
Merlin help them all.

So the 5th year let Selina talk and deal with the man while he stood quietly watching both their belongings. His eyes briefly shifting to Jake as he mentioned Selina's mother...a woman he himself had yet to meet.

Ellie was about to respond to Carter when she felt an arm slide around her waist. Meep. Kind of scared her too, but she was able to cover it. Oh, it was Dallin! Duh, who else would it be? Ellie grinned and hugged him, placing a kiss on his lips. But it was quick, so as to not make Carter feel awkward. She didn't know if he would feel awkward or not, but just in case.

She was actually holding back. If she wasn't talking to anyone, Ellie probably would have tackled Dallin because they hadn't seen each other in like, four or five days. And that was just so terribly tragic.

"Yeah, I've told you about him." Ellie said to Dallin, referring to Carter. Right? She was pretty sure she had. And all about her job as Carter's personal assistant once she graduated. Ellie kind of told everyone about that, so she was pretty positive Dallin knew. Heh.

My, that girl was energetic. Bouncing up and down and all. "Yes, it's my last year." Ellie told Carter's little sister with a smile. Although, she wasn't really sure how she felt about it yet. Excited. Nervous. Things like that. Oh, and her name was Anya. That's what Ellie thought she heard. She was about to comment on thinking her name was pretty, but Anya asked a question. Heh. Grinning, Ellie nodded. "Yeah, he's my boyfriend." Giggle.

Rose laughed and felt suddenly happy at the effect her eyes had had on him. Well, that went well! 'Sorry, I was asking what happened, I didn't mean to distract you...' she smirked, before changing it to an innocent smile. Yeah, innocent, psh.

Edric's gaze went past Adeline as a slightly older girl came up from behind the younger one. For a brief second there, the Gryffindor boy thought this was Adeline's big sister or something, who had come to his rescue by taking Adeline away with her.

However, that wasn't the case.
Apparently, the newcomer thought he had 'a great way with the little ones' (at this, Edric sent a smirk in Adeline's direction that said See?! You ARE little!); his jaw dropped when the girl mentioned that Adeline had really 'played' him, before she went on to compliment him on being so… kind and nice for playing along.

Of course, though, both Edric and Adeline knew that he hadn't been 'playing along', he'd really actually been foolish enough to fall for the tricks of the eleven-year-old. However, he wasn't about to go and give himself a bad first impression.

"Oh-- oh, of course! I just… I love the little ones. Anything to make them laugh," he lied with a smile. Mwahahaha. NO ONE was EVER going to know that he'd really been trolled by a firstie! NO ONE! :whaa:

"I'm Edric," he added as the girl introduced herself, and nodded as she walked away hoping they'd meet again some time in school. Well, that'd be nice. That was the first girl Edric had met this summer who actually seemed likable - but maybe that was just because she'd praised him and of course the self-centered boy would like that. As Alyssa walked away, Edric turned back to Adeline with a triumphant, malicious grin. "Well, little one… looks like you just turned me into a kind-hearted hero. Thank you," he said.

Bwaaaaaaaaahahaha.

Logan rolled his eyes. "I wasn't distracted!" he lied, blushing a bit. "Right, I was er....well, I really like my friend Cardigan...and...I kinda...asked her...to be my girlfriend...and I guess it was a bit too early...." he said.

Thomas stood there saying his mumbled, embarrassed goodbyes to his mother and sister. He was fourteen years of age. A teenager. Being seen with his ma was one of the most cringeworthy things he could imagine. Kat was standing there grinning like an idiot, letting out the occasional giggle-come-squeal whenever she saw a face of a student she recognised. She said she had no friends at Hogwarts, but it seemed she knew more people than Thomas did. He frowned at her then looked away, up the platform towards the front of the train, losing himself in his thoughts and wishing they would let him go already.

But he was abruptly awoken by his mother who had begun rubbing at a dirty mark on his cheek. “It wont budge.” She said, before licking her finger and rubbing again. “Ma!” Tom protested, frowning deeply. “Gerroff. Not 'ere! I'll ge' it off when I'm on the train!” His protests, frustratingly, were ignored.

Urgh. Parents. Didn't they remember what it was like to be a teenager?

Having FINALLY said goodbye, and getting rid of the two female members of his family with an awkward smile and wave, Tom shoved his hands deep inside his pockets and started to trundle his way up the platform. Straight past a very familiar face without seeing it straight away. A familiar face that surely shouldn't be anywhere NEAR the magical world..

But he turned and stopped and looked at the boy who looked like an older version of his ma's best friend's son. His eyes narrowed and he tilted his head. It WAS him. What in blaady 'ell woz 'e doin' in the maagic world??

“...Ackers?” He said finally, although his tone left him in a questioning, confused way. “Wot.. wot the 'ell you doin' 'ere?” He frowned, wondering if they'd been followed through the wall. Would he have to get an adult? Would poor Bradley have to be obliviated?

As Alyssa walked away, she giggled to herself. 'Now that's telling her, Edric.' Alyssa thought to herself. She couldn't help but smile. 'Adeline definitely sounds like a smart girl though. I have a feeling that she'll 'get' him again before the train arrives at Hogwarts.'

Her mother was looking for her, right. She turned to look at Gideon and shrugged her shoulders. There was an awkward pause, she wasn't sure if she should go and meet up with her mother and leave Gideon or take him along. She knew what her father would prefer but then again when was Selina ever one to listen exactly to what her elders said. Ever since she had been old enough to talk she had always done things her way. If her mother had her way Selina never would have played Quidditch although she did have to admit that her father playing Quidditch for a living did help her case a bit.

So she looked at Gideon once more before turning back to her father and said, "Uh huh... and?"

Jake really loved his daughter but sometimes she really could be such a pain in the behind. He loved the fact that she danced to the beat of her own drum but sometimes he wished she would just conform, especially to the things he said- like no boys. Then again he was asking too much of her, Merlin knew Selina did what she wanted to when she wanted to.

"And..." he said drawing out his response and looking at Gideon, "You have to say goodbye to your mother."

"Oh leave her alone Jake," Sophie chuckled walking up behind her husband and putting her hand on his arm. "She's fourteen years old and we already said goodbye earlier. I just wanted to know that she was okay. Leave her alone." She looked at the boy standing beside her daughter and said, "Hello dear, you must be Gideon. Christopher never shuts up about you in tormenting my daughter. It's a pleasure to meet you."

'Of course you weren't...' Rose chuckled, before feeling an unexpected flare of pain through her chest. But it wasn't physical, which confused her... 'Oh... Um, wh-what did she say?' she asked nervously. Why was she feeling this... Ugh, she felt downhearted, and that wasn't right. At all.

"She was shocked...I could see it on her face...I was hugging her and I asked her and she began backing away looking horrified...man she probably hates me now." he said sighing.

The autumnal wind that blew down the station was received as a sudden shiver down Bradley's spine as he tried to find somewhere to sit. Being the new kid in a completely different environment had taken it completely out of him and his feet were already throbbing from pacing up and down the platform. He wasn't exactly wearing the warmest of outfits, the leather jacket hung from his shoulders and the thin T-Shirt underneath barely protected him. He was completely blanking out everyone that went by, deciding best to shy away rather than make a fool of himself and watched the younger students saying goodbye to their parents. The voices had all blended into one, except for a certain accent that had Bradley thinking.

There was someone with a very distinct London accent around here, a little like his own although Bradley's had mellowed over his years of living in Clapham Common but still very much a Londoner. His head flicked up, trying to find the source of the voice, wandering if it was someone he had known or whether someone had followed him through the wall, although that wouldn't be possible would it? Not unless they had a magical ability themselves? He chuckled at the conversation as he listened in. The protests of son against mother, much like his own family though his mum had been pretty quick to let him go after he had assured her he would be alright.

....Ackers?

"Broadmoor?" he had looked up to see the youngest of the Broadmoor family stood in front of him. Surprised to say the least, his eyes opened as he stuttered. "I..I.." Surely he could tell Tom if he had found his way through the wall. "Goin' to.. School" he replied, keeping it safe just in case. Bradley had moved away from Brixton and despite that their mothers were best friends, the fourteen year old felt that he wouldn't tell the other just yet. Although it would be quite obvious if he was magical himself.

"What about you?" he asked back, still a little perplexed that he knew someone here. It made the idea of going somewhere unfamiliar slightly less overwhelming.

Rose sighed and shook her head. 'She's an idiot, then.' she said bluntly, nodding. 'Anyone would want to go out with you, you're an amazing person, funny, kind, cute, a full deal!' she grinned.

This was totally mental. Bradley Ackerly had gone to Tom's primary school. He had known him pretty well back then, until he moved. Left the estate for a better life. Lucky sod. ..But.. why the hell would he be on Platform 9 and 3 quarters? This was a place for magical people, not muggles.

Thomas's eyes narrowed a tiny bit and he pursed his lips. Had he seen anything strange? Or happened to have noticed the BLOODY GREAT STEAM TRAIN!? D: The question Tom wanted to ask was, 'did you blaady follah me?' But that would just rouse suspicion.

“You sure 'bou' that'?” The lad asked. “You.. sure you ain' on the wrong platform?”

Clearly he was..

Thomas was unsure how to answer the question that was directed back at him. He paused for a minute and thought. “..Same.” He replied. “Some poncy private school for gifted kids.” He said, trying to make his story sound more believable. Because... it wasn't impossible to believe that Thomas was gifted, right? :erm:

“For me drawin' an' art an' tha'.” He added quickly. Bradley must surely remember how behind Tom was in most of his classes at school. A scholarship for academic reasons was completely out of the question.

Thea smiled slightly at the expected reaction. 'Yeah, most people react like that..' She turned her face away as she looked down the platform at the large clock. Thea ran a hand through her messy hair. 'It's annoying.. at times. To be fair, they aren't bad!' The third year shrugged and wrinkled her nose slightly, something she often did. She was suprised to admit to herself that Marley, the eldest, had been the most annoying recently. Acting oh so mature just because he had now left Hogwarts. They were all finding it hard to bear, even their mother at times!

Thea threw Joanna a sympathetic look. Not something she did often..
'I hate that too! though to be fair, I don't think I've veer been alone..' Only once when Leo refused to take her into the girls' bathroom at the airport when she was six, so he had wandered off by the time she had came back out..
Thea was used to the waiting in train stations or airports, as her brothers, herself and their parents were always being visited or visiting family members. 'How come you were by yourself?..' Thea didn't like being on her own. It was awful. She had never really ever had to be anywhere on her own, so she couldn't really understand how other people did it.

Bradley couldn't help but stare slightly confused at his old mate as he was given a look that made him feel like he shouldn't be there. This was where he had been informed to go on that letter. He had all his stuff in his suitcase and the bald cat sat below his feet, staring intently up at Tom before yawning and falling back asleep.

The question was running through his mind too and if it wasn't for the fact he had seen him with his mum and sister and that he seemed to know fairly confidentially where he was going, he wouldn't assumed that he was on the right platform.

"Me ticket says this is where I should be" the fourteen year old produced the slightly torn ticket from his jacket pocket and showed it to his childhood friend. "So yeah, I'm sure I'm in the right place." Now the question was whether this train only went to one place or if there were plenty of stops on the way.

"Yeah. That's where I'm goin' too. Some private school called Hogwarts up North somewhere" He wasn't exactly sure where it was. "For kids with.." With what? Magical talents. Something that other people didn't think was possible. "Gifts" he repeated what Tom had said. It had to be, they both had to be going to the same place.

"Is that where your goin'?" he asked cautiously. "On the train?" he asked rather stupidly considering they were on a platform. He watched some other students walk past excitedly, weren't any of these kids nervous?

Logan blinked. "You....you really think I'm all that?" he said, shocked.

Rose blinked, before blushing slightly. 'Yeah, of course, I don't lie...' she said, smiling sheepishly. Great, now she had probably scared him!

Alec blinked as he looked from Asher... to Anya... to Asher again. Pen pals? For a whole year? And Anya hadn't told him at all! Why would she keep things like this a secret from him? They had been best friends ever since they were young... and she didn't tell him about this pen pal of hers.

And to think she wasn't happy about him making friends.

"Oh right," he said, "That must have been..." He stole a glance at Anya's face before smiling over at Asher, "... nice." See? He was being nice about this. "Well, me and Anya met when we were small kids." That was needed to be said.



Alec smiled as Adeline started to speak... and then she stopped. Why? She can't be about to say something mean. Adeline was a nice girl. She would never say anything-

And then came a woman. Alec's blue eyes swivelled up to the woman and then down at Adeline. It seemed as though the two knew each other. Maybe she was a guardian of some sort? Or her aunt? Alec didn't like the way she was looking at him though.

Erm... mum? She was his mother? Alec blinked. And yet, now she was actually addressing him. He still didn't like the way she was looking at him. "I'm Alec, Alec Summers," he said, holding out his hand, "And you're... Mrs Holiday?"



Alec grinned. "And now you can tell me everything there is to know about Hogwarts," he said, squeezing Anya's shoulder. But trusting Anya, she might just slip in something that's fake and make Alec believe in it completely.

See? There was a good in everything! "Even after the seven years, i don't think i can get used to seeing you look all girly," he said. Which... was true. Anya never dressed as a girl! Never! So to see her dressing as a girl for the next seven years wouldn't be something he'd get used to.

Alec blinked. "Maybe... We could fly around on the brooms at Hogwarts?" he suggested, "I hear from... Asher... that there are some brooms at Hogwarts." Carter doesn't need to know about it at all.

Alec looked between Anya and Asher again. So it wasn't enough that the two had been secretly messaging each other for the past year, Asher also took Anya out and bought her something. "What's a puff ball?" Yes, that's what he decided to concentrate on.



Alec was going to let it go. So what if Asher bought Anya a... pygmy puff? He can buy Anya whatever he wanted. It didn't MEAN anything! Alec bought her a lot of nice things before! HA! Beat That Asher Trying-To-Get-To-Anya Romalotti!

... And then he did. Alec raised an eyebrow as he looked at Asher. What. Was. He. DOING?! Games to be played on the train... Right! Like Alec was going to allow anything to happen between his best friend and the smooth slimeball who was putting his arm around the brunette girl. So? His retaliation? Alec smiled. No, he wasn't going to show Asher just how much this bothered him.

Of course most people react like that, it's probably awful living with six boys (assuming that Thea was the only girl). Ughhh... Joanna remembered when her younger brother was six... it was a nightmare that never ended. That midget wanted to play all the time, even at the evenings after she has been forced to play with him since the mornings... it was almost like torture. If Thea the oldest or second oldest, Joanna felt pity for her.

Not many people her age fly planes alone, but because the distance from Alaska to England was so long and the flights are so expensive, her parents said that this year she must go alone. Luckily, her cousin (who is mean, sly and sassy) agreed to pick her up from the airport. Even though she and her cousin fight sometimes a lot and Joanna loathes his personality, they frequently get along. This year he actually agreed to take her to muggle mall. It was a miracle. "Well..." the Ravenclaw began saying, "Living in Alaska has its disadvantages, and because the flights are kinda expensive my parents decided that I'm independent enough to fly an airplane alone." Ohhh... The thought that she will need to repeat the flight in another ten months was so depressing.

She smiled properly, at least Harvey seemed to understand what she meant. Suddenly, she noticed Claudia standing as she pushed another girl forwards introducing her as Alyssa before leaving... something told her that was the shortest time a Hogwarts student had been there before transferring... again! Shaking Alyssa's hand she didn't bother with introductions, Alyssa already knew her so there wasn't a point. She laughed as Alyssa told her about being a hacker. "Yeah, mum taught me how to hack things as well... accidentally of course" she said winking "Proxy's, you gotta love 'em!"

Prue grinned back at what Alyssa said, nodding as she kept her arm linked with the girl for the current time. "Sounds good" she said nodding. "Gives them lovey dovey moments, and stops us from being the third wheel if it ever comes to that!"

Watching Minnie giggle at what she said Prue smiled, "I think I like her not being innocent better... though her father probably won't when he finds out one of her friends also enjoys hacking things... shh, our secret" she stated with another wink.

Bradley had always been quiet, yes, but the staring was a little disconcerting. Thomas could only stare back, trying not to narrow his eyes in a hostile manner in return. He didn't mean to intimidate, which, apparently he did, he just wasn't very good at relating to others. His background, his upbringing and the place he lived didn't really help the poor lad's cause either. He tore his eyes away and looked down at the bald cat at Bradley's feet, a small smile playing on his lips for the first time all day. That cat was cool. Ugly, but cool.

He looked back up at Bradley to find he wasn't staring anymore. Tom frowned, puzzled as the ticket was produced and he moved closer to get a better look. His eyes widened momentarily. Ackers, it appeared, was magical. What a blaady small world, innit?

Kids with gifts? Yeah. “Maagick?” Tom said quietly. Although erring on the side of caution seemed a little late now. He nodded his head, a smile brightening his face. “Yeah. Yeah. I started last year.” He chuckled a little and shook his head. “I can' blaady believe this! You, like, a late developer or somefin?” Just like young Tom had been.

All that cat did was sleep. Sleep and eat. A little like a teenage boy to be totally honest. The boy looked down at her wandering why she never felt the cold having no fur. He removed his foot from underneath her as the cat looked and almost glared at having her sleeping disturbed.

He shoved his ticket back into his pocket and smiled slightly at Tom's reaction. It appeared they were going to the same place, which was a big relief for Bradley. Having a friend at the school would be perfect, especially as he knew very little about the school and what it was they did there, apart from magic of course.

He nodded and smiled at the word, raising his brow slightly. "Yeah. I keep moving stuff with my mind and before I knew it, this owl was at me window" he informed him, recalling the events of his discovery of his talent. "I thought I was a bit weird at first, but this is cool" he chuckled. Hey. Not everyone could do that could they? All this rubbish about magic just being a trick of the eye, none of it was real. It really did exist and despite that he couldn't tell his mates about it, he could certainly use it to his advantage.

"I aint that late" he retalliated. "I've heard some people don't discover it til their last couple of years, least I've got 4 years to learn this stuff" And he'd probably need those years. He wasn't dumb, he got average grades in school thanks to the movement of his family.

Thomas smiled, relaxing when it became clear that Bradley hadn't strayed into the magical world by accident and wouldn't need obliviating. He bobbed his head, nodding as he listened to his old friend. “It's pretty shockin' innit?” He replied with a wry smile. “I knew 'bou' maagick cos me bruvvah an' sistah 'av the gift an' all.. buh I didn't fink I did. Not until I blew up the TV in a rage.” He chuckled, amused.

The protest in Bradley's voice caused Tom to grin. It changed the way he looked completely. Bright, cheerful, quite a contract to the usual frown or scowl that he had on his face. “I woz late too, mate.” He pointed out. “An' Fred woz seventeen when 'e discovered 'e woz maagick.” So Brad had nothing to worry about. Just as long as he kept his gob shut in potions and looked like he knew what he was doing, he'd be just fine.

Logan raised an eyebrow. "W...wow okay, well...th-thanks!" he said smiling shyly, his face slightly red.

Gideon caught Selina looking at him, her shrug not making anything any clearer but it seemed as she was just as clueless as he as to what Jake Skylar was up to. He waited for a response from the older man as she sought further information, though all they got was a simple answer. He was about to say Selina might as well go to her when the woman herself appeared behind her husband ending the dilema. Gideon only hoped that like his own mother she was the more rational parent and therefore would make things even a little bit easier on the couple.

"Aye, I am," he confirmed with a nod even though he doubted it was really necessary to do so. " Hello Mrs Skylar," he greeted with a polite smile, though listening to her words about Christopher made him nervous. "Um nice to meet ye as well... and its nice to know my friend is working against me ," Gideon returned in a touch of jest, fighting the urge to shake his head at the though of the other boy.

Shocking was an understatement. Bradley was confused, maybe slightly worried but it had also been exciting. The power he had in his own mind, once he knew how to control it, who knew what he could do. "You can say that again" he chuckled, "Really?" he asked raising his brow. That hadn't been something his mum had mentioned, probably because it all had to be kept secret. "No one in me family have it. Though dad said there might have been someone, a distant relative a few generations back that did" So the magical blood must have come from somewhere, despite him being a muggleborn.

"When did you discover you had magic?" he asked, genuinely interested. Did everyone make things fly or were there other ways to discover your abilities. Or did people not find out at all until the owl had arrived at their door and it was only then that they could do stuff. Did an owl ever arrive at the wrong persons door, that would be dead funny, thinking you had magic and all that. Seventeen? Now that was pretty late. "Must of been a bit of a cram then" To shove seven years worth of education within one year, Bradley wouldn't of wanted to do it.

I like the subtle Finding Nemo reference *whistles*
 

Kurumi had remained silent after Lewis' comment about people. Thing was, she hadn't left anyone behind. Not really anyway. Sure, there had been her father and her mother, but pretty much her absence in the small town of Yuzawa had gone completely unnoticed. Kurumi had never been one to leave people, they had always left her and this pattern seemed to be repeating itself at Hogwarts as well.

Her thoughts had been distracted as Lewis took the initiative and pushed the trolley forward through the barrier. Was he taking her advice about keeping both eyes open? Kurumi had actually sneaked a peek at him just to be sure. She really didn't fancy ramming into a non-magical family or anyone once they got through the barrier.

When the sights and smells of Platform 9 3/4 overpowered her senses again, Kurumi smiled and looked in his direction. "Brilliant," she chirped. "See, that wasn't very difficult at all now was it?" Best of all? They hadn't crashed into anything!

Anya smiled up at Mina. She was really grateful to the older girl. She had been extremely supportive... and much more level-headed than that brother of hers.

She blinked. Whomping willow? That sounded dangerous... But she didn't want Mina to know she was a little bit scared. "I'll remember that. And I'll have loads of fun for you." she said with a smile and a nod.

LOADS!

She beamed. "Yeah! You'll get lots! I have my own owl, you know." she said pointing over to the owl cage near Carter. "Her name is CiCi. Carter gave her to me."



"Well, I guess you'll be able to see that first hand, won't you?" Carter said with a chuckle. But he fully expected not to need the Healer. He'd been doing MUCH better at avoiding bludgers.

He chuckled at Mr. Romalotti's comment. "Of course." he said. He understood loving the sport a lot. And he was sure the dad wouldn't miss out on seeing his daughter play.

"It was a pleasure to have him visit Sir." he said with a nod. "Anya loved the company." A little too much if anyone asked him. Those two were such adorable troublemakers.

He eyed Jasper for a second. They BETTER not be about to have the conversation he thought they were going to have. And HERE of all places?

"Of course Sir. I look forward to it." he said as the older man walked away.



"Yeah. We started writing after I found out about... you know..." Anya said filling in the gaps. "Carter thought it was a good idea that I have someone to talk to my own age." But Anya knew it was really because Carter was jealous that all his friends liked her better.

She then giggled. "I'll tell you everything. Don't worry." she said with a smirk. She was so planning on slipping in something and convincing him it was the truth. That was... as soon as she came up with something good to tell.

Andddd... she giggled again. "Well. Seven years is a long time. Who knows... maybe I'll start liking it." Dressing girly was one of those things that happened with age, right? Along with liking boys?

She nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! We can all take flying lessons together!" she said bouncing a bit. "It looks like a lot of fun. OH! And we can sit together at quidditch matches. I can tell you allllll about it. Mina gave me a book last year. And Asher filled in the bits I didn't quite understand when we met this summer." And now she was a quidditch expert!

"Right. Pygmy puff." she said with a nod turning her attention to Asher. She frowned. "Not yet. I thought they should have similar names... since they're probably family." Or, at least from the same cage.

Her eyes widened. "Games? I love games!" she exclaimed bouncing up and down a bit. And now she was getting a hug! Yay! This was like the same kind of hug that Carter and Marilyn were having! Maybe that meant that they'd spend all next summer together!

She looked over at Alec to see what he thought about playing games on the train. He seemed to like the idea judging by his smile.

Which... actually made her feel a bit worse... She was not okay with him making new friends without her. But he seemed not to care at all.

Harvey smiled at Alyssa "Oh its great to have you back!!" he said grinning.. He chuckled when she said that they were mushy all the time.. well it wasnt that far from the truth... he chuckled again when Alyssa made a comment about having a club for single girls.. Gosh how he had missed this Alyssa... and he couldnt believe that she had actually decided to come back.. he was more than glad that she had. now he could hang out with her more... the way he had wanted to last year but had never gotten the chance.. now he had been given a second chance and he wasnt letting go of it... no way.. he then heard Minnie pass a comment about Alyssa and he chuckled again.."Mmm... not so innocent, huh?! mmm..." he said grinning cheekily.. He then listened to Prudence.. "Hey it wont come to that.. I told ya.. we dont want others to feel like a third or fifth wheel.." and then his mouth dropped open at her next comment... she was like Cody.. a hacker!!! Oh my days!! oh AND she wanted it to be kept a secret.. wow! a hacker at Hogwarts.. where there is not a single computer.. how is she going to fulfill the need to hack into a computer or something when there are none!! he smiled at this thought.. a hacker studies where there are no computers.

Messer only grinned when he heard Aurora respond. Yup. Hufflepuff is pretty cool in his opinion. "But I don't mind if the sorting hat put me in the other house." Even though he might be a little bit disappointed. Ugh! Studying. He never fond of studying.

What he's looking forward most?Hmm.."There are a lot of things I'm looking forward when I arrived in Hogwarts." But there's one thing the eleven year old boy looking forward to it. "Quidditch!" he said firmly. And the classes next.

Prue grinned more as she watched Harvey's mouth drop. "Hey, I'm not too bad... I enjoy hacking things but mainly my own passwords! Honestly, with the amount I have I need to know that though! Like Mum taught me to break into our house because I was hopeless with keys... and apparently passwords are the same!" It was true, she remembered when once again her mum sighed, her mother was like her, hopeless with keys, and her father had taken Abby out when her mum locked them out purposely, pulling out a card which she slipped in. They never dead-bolted the door so it was fairly easy to learn!

Absently she took out the card she generally used, fidgeting with it. She preferred to keep moving. It helped her focus.

Harvey's mouth was dropped before and it stayed like that as she explained how her mother had taught her how to break into their own home without keys!!! He suddenly realised that his mouth was still open and closed it as he cleared his throar. "Oh well I guess that's alright then... er.. I guess.. breaking into your own home and computer.. better than not being able to use your computer or being locked out in the cold... " he said a little embarrassed at his mouth having dropped before.. though he never found the need to break into computers and his own home but he knew what she meant. If he were just as hopeless he could have been stuck out in the cold until his mom got home.. but here Prudence was taught how to break into her own home so that she wouldnt have to stay out in the cold. So he was all for it now... he smiled at this thought.

Of course I'm the only one. :)
 

As Abby was sitting silently and was opening her bag, she noticed someone scream and saw her. Whatever the girl did, it might've scared this one. Wait...wait. BLACK PERSON?!

Ok, there. It was fine when people in her place called her black because she accepted it. But hearing it from another one, whom she didn't know that much, was a bit offensive. Abby was at the urge to go and declare World War 3 until she remembered her mom. Her mom didn't like any fighting. Her adoptive mom to make it much clearer.

Abby tried to make herself look a bit unoffended but it seemed a bit hard to swallow in. Abby just smiled at the girl without saying anything. but it seemed inappropriate not to say something. "Uhm...hi."

Prue laughed as he composed himself and smiled, she was used to reactions like that... even her sister reacted like that when she saw Prue breaking into their house to let them both in! Knowing her parents and their jobs it was a necessary precaution anyway, with them often being overseas for weeks at a time. "So... what are you guys looking forward to this year?"

"Hey, I'm still the innocent Alyssa you knew last year. That other part of me stays hidden while I'm in Hogwarts. But I think it's time that others see that there's more to me than meets the eye. Only time will tell," Alyssa winked at her friends.



Alyssa winked back at Prue. She was going to like this girl, but at the same time, she had to remember that she was here in Hogwarts to study and not talk about computer hacking, so Alyssa decided that she wouldn't talk about her little hobby again once school started.



"It's good to be back, Harvey. It'll be good to catch up with all of you and even though I'm not one of the 4 Amigoes, I promise to keep you all safe. And if you're thinking about the hacking stuff, you don't have to worry about it. Remember, I was in Hogwarts an entire term and you guys didn't even know I was one. I can put aside my little hobby for the term until I'm with Cody again. Besides hacking skills aren't very useful in a wizarding school unless the subject pops up in Muggle Studies,"Alyssa winked at both Minnie and Harvey.



"Well I don't know about you guys but I'm looking forward to seeing the others, attending classes and playing Quidditch. Here's hoping that I make it into the team this term." Alyssa told everyone.

Sophie chucked at Gideon's comment and shrugged her shoulders. She honestly did not know what to say to him. She knew that Christopher did it all in good fun, or at least she hoped that he did; Christopher held Gideon in very high regard that much she could tell. "I'm sure he is not outwardly trying to work against you. I don't think it is you per say, more of my daughter. They are quite frankly horrible to on another."

She then eyed Jake who was keeping a close eye on the boy who was being very nice to her. Her arms crossed and she rose her eyebrows at her husband, "You. Come on. You've overstayed your welcome mister..." Sophie then turned to look at Gideon and said to him, "Enjoy your year Mr. Gert. I hope my daughter doesn't drive you too insane."

As she turned to walk away from the group she gave Selina a tight hug and whispered in her ear, "Enjoy your year darling. Don't get in too much trouble and please promise you'll try with potions...?"

Jake stared incredously at his wife as she spoke sweetly to the boy. He rarely heard her talk so nicely because he usually bore the brunt of her nasty temper. Although she did always make the case that he was the reason she lost her temper. Then as she called him away like some sort of dog he stopped a little in his tracks. What in Merlin's name was going on? They were not going to stay? Keep an eye on the kid? NOTHING?!?!

He knew better to fight with his wife though. So he crushed his daughter in a tight hug as his wife walked away and said to her, "Cause as much trouble as you can, kiddo. Love you..." He let her go and then pointed at the boy, "You watch your hands boy...understand?" And with that he was running after his wife down the platform. That woman moved fast in a pair of heels.

She chuckled at her mother and whispered back, "Alright Mum, love you." But when her father whispered the exact opposite in her ear she said, "Please you know I will, love you." But the moment he made th comment to Gideon she waved him off and said, "Oi, get out of here..."

Once they were gone she turned to him and said, "Sorry about that. They are a handful..."

Harvey listened to Alyssa talk about her being the same as she was last year.. Harvey couldnt believe that he didnt know Alyssa fully.. what he knew of her was only the tip.. there was alot more to come.. he grinned as she winked at them.. She then mentioned catching up and The 4 Amigos..

oh!! She knew about the 4 amigos... "Well we could always make it 5" he said to her "Yeah that IS true you were there for a whole year without anyone knowing this.. no you are right they arent useful at school.." he said as she winked at them again.. he looked at Minnie and then at Alyssa.. did Minnie know her best friend was like this.. very mischievous.. maybe there WAS a side to Alyssa they hadnt met yet..

Then Prue spoke up.. "Well I dont know about Mins.. maybe she will agree with me on this one.. a drama free year.. where all we have to worry about is studying.. and spending time with all our friends.. nothing else.. but you never know what is going to happen at Hogwarts.. I mean I KNOW no-one is going to forget what happened in the Great Hall at the end of year feast.. and everything that happened before that.." Harvey said referring to the mischievous baby elf who had created havoc all over the school..

He still felt sorry for Professor Bentley who lost all her research due to the fire.. he wondered if she had manage to recover from that.. they will only find out once they go back to Hogwarts.. he then turnd to Prue and Alyssa "What about you.. what are you looking forward to this year?" he asked both of them.. wondering what they would look forward on you.. Harvey listened to Alyssa answer the same question.. "Well heres us wishing you make the team" he said to her smiling.. as he played with her words

"Yeah... unless said Wizarding school had computers it's really not that useful, and I don't think they're going to bring up how to do anything like that in Muggle Studies... oh well..." she trailed off, listening to Alyssa talk about what she was looking forward to in the coming year. "Yeah, classes will be fun... and Quidditch also, I hope you get on, I didn't realize that the try outs were on last year so I never got a chance to try out... I'm hoping to this year though, a chaser or a beater I reckon... what about you?" she asked curiously, her sister never really enjoyed talking about the game, though she was a good player... perhaps she could also convince Abby to try out...

"I adore your color!" And she was super pretty too despite the, well, different color she had. "I've met quite a number of black people in Hogwarts but I've only like one," said Erin. She was actually pertaining to Prefect Arya Lovegoods, she hadn't officially met her, but who wouldn't know her? Duh? She scanned the hair of the little firstie, the first thing she would look for a possible friend, "You're look is somehow acceptable, but then, I have one problem with you..." Yes, the hair. But would she tell it to her? She might get offended.

Erin, manners! "Oh! I am Erin by the way and you are?" She liked this girl or better say, she loved her, as much as she liked meeting Kimalia from earlier.

"Well I have to say that last year was fun. I loved playing detective and tracking down the baby house elf at the End of the Term Feast. Which reminds me, I wonder how he's doing? I must ask Kurumi when I see her later. I did volunteer to help keep an eye on it when the house elves were busy. As for Quidditch. Thanks I think I'm going to need all the luck I can get. There are a whole lot of new players AND old ones returning, so I may not make the team. But at least, I'm going to try out and hope for the best. As for the 5 Amigoes I dont think that one exists, but thanks for offering, Harvey," Alyssa smiled at her friend.



"I think that I'm going to try out for my old position, Beater, or maybe Chaser this year. What about you, Harvey and Minnie? Care to try out this year? Come on, it'll be fun," Alyssa shook both Harvey and Minnie trying to convince them to try out too.

Mina smiled at Anya with pride. She really was proud of her friend. Going off to Hogwarts with her head high without knowing completely what was there waiting for her. She really couldn't wait to hear about how her first year had gone in a few months.

Catching the blinking of Anya, she softly laughed. "You will know it when you see it, but just be nice to everything and everyone at Hogwarts and you won't have any troubles. First impressions are very important after all." She knew that from experience and first impressions did stick with her. "But stay out of too much trouble," she added with a wink.

Mina beamed and clapped in excitement. She did love getting letters. Following her point, she smiled. "CiCi is a very cute owl too. Diana might get jealous to see her, but I'm sure they will be come friends." Her owl had taken a liking to Anya and she knew it, but maybe it was time for her owl to make more friends now that she was at home. "Well at least your brother is good at picking out cute owls." It didn't even surprise her it was a girl owl either.

But the moment he made th comment to Gideon she waved him off and said, "Oi, get out of here..." Once they were gone she turned to him and said, "Sorry about that. They are a handful..."

Gideon could see that being the case, Christopher teasing Selina more then making trouble for him and his girlfriend's parents, and so relaxed as Mrs Skylar assured him that nothing was the matter. Whew that was one thing off his list of worriers, though the way Mr. Skylar was eying him reminded him of all the others. "I'll certainly try," he said as the woman wished him well, his eyes still meeting his fellow man as if afraid that if he backed down he would lose.

The 5th year couldn't help but visually relax once both parents were out of sight, the last words of the father about to set him off. Geez, the man acted like they made out every second and messed around. They were 14 and 15 years old, teenagers but behaving teenagers, and the sooner he realized that he didn't pose a danger for Selina, the sooner they could all live in peace. Gideon sighed as he worked to calm himself down from the pent up emotion he felt at being so scruntinized.

"Its alright...I survived didn't I?"



Celeste couldn't help but chuckle as she followed her through the wall and onto the platform, the girl singing excitedly. "Of course he really was...else he'd be here," Celeste answered with a smile of her own trying to reassure her daughter. It wasn't that Damien wanted to miss it, it was more the man wasn't cut out for the crowds the station represented and she had only once managed to drag him along with her to deliver Gideon off.

The woman glanced around looking for sight of her son or at least his curl hair he inherited from her, but she didn't catch sight of him in the crowds right away. "Now where did your brother wander off to...?" she mused, a hand lightly at Kacie's back as she guided the girl and her cart away from the barrier.

The other house..? There were three other houses... she decided not to say anything though, he'd find out soon enough. "Well, you don't have to wait long now, the sorting starts tonight!" she said, grinning. It was kind of exciting to meet all the new snakes...

Quidditch... why did everyone seem to look forward to Quidditch? Brooms were EVIL!!! But the matches were always fun to watch... "Yeah, the matches are always brilliant..." she said, not wanting to spoil his excitement by telling him how dangerous and evil and wrong brooms were.

Adore her color? Abby stood there, feeling awkward about suspecting this girl insulted her for being black. The girl nodded her head while listening to the Korean-ish girl speak. "Ah, thanks...?" Abby said, confused if they were insults or compliments to her appearance and race. Oh well, she was African-American and that's gonna be it forever. As the older girl scanned little Abby, she felt a bit of horror. She did not like being judged just because of her appearance, nah uh. Then she reached hair and Abby could tell this one had a fair few problems about it. "Is there something wrong with my hair?" she asked politely.

Abby was then surprised from the sudden change of topic. "I'm Abby," the girl said with a small smile and a curt nod. She could tell she's made another first impression, a good one at least. "Uhm, are you Muggle-born?Halfblood? Pureblood?" Abby said, curiously. "And what House are you sorted in?" After a quick pause, the first year realized she's been too question-y to the older student, around Second or Third year based on her... height? "Oh, pardon for my curiosity."

Of course Helen Broadmoor had not mentioned the fact that her kids were magical to Acker's ma. She would have thought the woman had finally lost her marbles. The story about scholarships to this private school were the best cover story the family could come up with. With Freddie, who had a insanely high IQ, it was believable.. with Kat and Tom not so much... but it was all they had. They had to make it believable.

He nodded as he listened to Ackers. It was the same with his family. “Wiff us it's skipped a load of generations an' then we all go' it. Late.. buh late bettah than nevah, righ'?” Of course Tom's Auntie was a witch too, but her brother, Tom's dad, hadn't got the gift of magic.

“It woz jus' ovah a year ago. Ma woz naggin' at me for somefin' or anovvah and BAM! The TV exploded along wiff me tempah.” Tom laughed a dirty laugh. He thought that had been pretty cool. “Weren't me faul' buh I woz graanded for two weeks.” Tom guessed people showed signs of magic in different ways. Freddie's discovery was rather more subtle like Bradley's.

“'E nevah did 'is NEWTs. They cancelled them for some reason tha' year. I would 'av been pleased, buh Fred was dead gutted. Fink 'e wan'ed to prove somefin'.” Ever the ambitious Slytherin.

Tom looked down at the bald cat again and couldn't help smiling. He wasn't a cat person, but that thing was cool. “Wotsit's name?” He asked Bradley curiously, looking back at him. ..Could you stroke a bald cat?

Did that happen often then? The magical bloodline suddenly stopped and then suddenly another one turned up? His dad could roughly recall a supposed 'witch' in the family but it sounded totally medieval and unbelievably. Until now of course. Now they all knew that these stories were true. "Me sister ain't got it, just me. Least I don't think she does" He felt special like this though. There was something about him that no one else in his family had, or his friends, apart from Tom of course. .

Bradley couldn't help but laugh loudly at his story. "Did you have to pay for it?" he asked, still laughing at the image of an exploding tv in his head. "Me mum would kill me if that happened. Mine was just a football flying across the room a few times. No one saw it, no one would believe it if they had" He didn't tell anyone what had happened, at first he didn't believe it had occurred himself.

What? Newts? "Aint that a lizard/fish thing?" he asked raising his eyebrow. Had Tom got a little confused here, because he was certain that a newt was an amphibian. Prove himself, with a newt? Yes. Tom had definitely lost him here.

His eyes followed Tom's down to the cat. "Bastet. Mam named her after somethin' egyptian. A goddess cat thing I think" he replied, shoving the cat gently with his foot so that she would look up. "You can stroke her, she don't care" It just felt a little weird. There was some hair, very very short hair and her skin looked a little wrinkly. But she was cool and made a very good companion.

Ah, she sounded like, she was more or less offended. Just that, why would someone who's not ashamed of her color would worry if he/she was called with that color? Oh, she must be the sensitive type of person, like Erin was once before. And she loathed that personality. She'll never be the little cry-baby again. "It's..." she paused for a while considering her sensitivity. Would she be able to understand Erin's sentiments? "...It's rough." Now, she blurted it out.

Oh Abby! Nice name. "Nice to meet you Abby," Erin smiled. She really liked this girl with no apparent reason. Hufflepuff was now an exception on her sorting, she's not friendly at all. It may be Slytherin, more likely. Then came the blood heritage, which made Erin a little, 'What the?' and before she could even answer the first question, came another one. Merlin, she was a firstie. "I'm a Muggleborn," she said in an almost inaudible sound. "I'm a Ravenclaw, thank you," said the black-haired second year in a cheerful voice.

Harvey chuckled "Yeah it WAS fun in a way.. yeah that is true.. I think Minnie enjoyed the detective work too.. Oh I am sure you will make the team.. and we can make it into the 5 amigos." he said to Alyssa.. he would make sure to hang out with her more often in the new year.. he then got a shock "Us?! Quidditch?! Well I DID tell Professor Bentley that I would.. but now I am not so sure... maybe 3rd or 4th year.. I dont think I am ready.. I dont know about Minnie though.." he said to Alyssa and then looking over at Minnie and back to Alyssa..

She could not believe that her father had just said that to Gideon. She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms as she waited for her father to leave. He was being a little ridiculous. Yes, she was dating Gideon. No, she was not one of those disgusting first year couples who always were in a state of running their hands all over each other. In fact, she was not even a first year to begin with! Honestly, she had some self respect that and it was a little awkward in that area for Selina.

As her father finally left them alone she turned to Gideon and sighed, "Yeah I guess. He's just being a prat. Ignore him. He's mostly annoyed at the fact that you are dating me. I'm sure if he just met you as a person he would like you a lot. He'll come around. Especially if he ever sees you play Quidditch..." She caught herself. Had she really just given Gideon some ground in saying that he was good at Quidditch. That had the possibility of being insinuated that she was saying he was better than her. Then she smirked at him and said, "Although... you aren't as good as me, Mr. Gert."

Minerva listened to her friends and smiled. "Oh Alyssa, Harvey and I aren't that mushy." She giggled and winked over at Harvey. "I put the poor boy through a lot in the last year. Dating at the beginning of term, breaking his heart, putting him with another girl, kissing him while he was with that girl oh 2 or 3 times, being kidnapped, and now back together." she blushed as she relived everything. "Alyssa you will always be part of this group so don't say you aren't. Ohhhh the baby elf I can't wait to see the little one." Minerva gave a bit of a grin "You know Alyssa you might have some competition at the top points spot this year." she giggled joking with her friend. "I am ready to tackle gobbestones this year I will do better then last year."

Abby just nodded. That's all she could do. She does not and will not start up a fight. She never does. She's just too kind. And why should she be ashamed of her color, appearance, and race? Abby gave Erin a smile. "I'm African-American and proud." Her hair is rough.. Is Erin serious or just joking? Rough. "Uhh..." Abby said. Basically that's all she blurted from her mouth.

"Nice to meet you too, Erin," Abby beamed. New friends! Yay! Hahahaha. I think Abby went a bit too far in being a newbie. Of course she's Muggle-born and she's very excited. "Sorry for being so question-y," Abby said, showing a guilty face. "Muggle-born? Me too!"

Ravenclaw? "Oh... the smart house? I wanna get sorted in there too." Talk about uncontrollable excitement. Heh.

Rose laughed nervously. 'Have I scared you like you did Jacket?' Wait, no! 'I mean Cardigan, I did, honestly.' Damn it...

Raven walked to the south platform, she saw Rose, her entire friend from Gryffindor.
"HEY ROSIE!!" she ran toward her and suddenly hugged her.
"Bye bye!!" then Raven left her.

Rose blinked and hugged her back reluctantly. SHE HAD CALLED HER ROSIE!? :whaa: She only let TWO people call her that. Her late mother and her sister, Violet. She waved at her, and made a note to tell her not to call her Rosie later...

"I mean houses." He corrected himself. How can he forgot that there're three other houses? (OOC: OMG! I forgot to put s *fails* :head: ) Oh its tonight? That fast?! Wow, time does fly.

"You don't like Quidditch?" Because she seems less interested when Messer mentioned about Quidditch.

Why was she doing this? Why god why? Enya slowly walked over to an empty bench and eye'd it with hatred, she just wished no one she knew was around to here this. This was going to be the last dare, the LAST dare she was going to do. Well anything like this of course. With a deep breath she stepped up onto the bench and balanced her self before opening her mouth and shouting;

"Slytherin is the best house ever at Hogwarts!! I wanna be a slytherin too!!"

That done she stepped down from the bench blushing deep red and turned to make her way out before anyone stopped her or laughed. Argh so mortifying.

Cardigan was bored so she decided to take a walk to the other side of the platform.One thought was continuously going through her mind:what house would she be in?She was nice,smart,not afraid to make a fool of herself(a.k.a brave),and was able to easily manipulate people.So she was stuck in the middle.Once she was down in the south end off the platform,she heard a rather loud statement about how Slytherin is the best house.Confused,Cardigan ran after the voice which turned out to be a girl who looked around 16 or seventeen."Why'd you do that?"She asked the girl.Even though she wasn't afraid of making a fool of herself,she would never do it without a reason.

She just needed to get out of there. Enya couldn't believe she had said that, was forced to say that. Stupid dare. Never again. Enya breathed deeply in and out as she walked, a little shaky on the legs, away from that side of the platform, she could feel the heat on her face burning her. She felt like she had got away from it until someone said something behind her. Oh god. With another breath she turned towards the voice and looked down at a first year. Joy.

"Why?" She quoted, well because I had to do a stupid dare just to please someone so they could laugh at me and mark my words I will get them back.."Why do you care?" She asked folding her arms across her chest, she stared at the first year.

"Yeah it's Cardigan..." he said clearing his throat. "And no, why would you scare me?" he asked, feeling his heart drop at the sound of Cardigan's name. Then he thought: Did Rose like him? Well of course not. She was like two years older than him....and he didn't really like her...well not that way. He liked her as a friend but not...yeah you get it. He had met very nice girls in Diagon Alley, but none as amazing as Cardigan. And now he felt like he lost her.

"Why do you care that I care?"Cardigan said as she glared at the girl.The girl could be a Slytherin for all she knew!I should've known that she was a Slytherin,Cardigan thought as she sat down on her trunk.And finally,with a sigh,she asked the girl,"You must be?,"without bothering to look at the girl.Looks like she'd just have to fight fire with fire...

Maxwell ran through and opened his eyes, he moved out of the way to avoid oncoming wizards and witches. Helios made a squawking noise so Maxwell went to take the cover off of his cage. "Now that there are no muggles around you can come out." Helios made another noise this one like he'd seen someone he hadn't in some time. Maxwell turned to see his father, his real father. "Dad? what are you doing here?" Maxwell asked shocked but happy.

Maxwell hugged his father for the first time "Yes, She does. She hasn't said so but i think she misses you." Maxwell said thinking, wishing more that his parents could come back together.

Maxwell was handed a small pouch.

Alyssa laughed when she heard Harvey say that she could be part of the 5 Amigoes. “Now that will be a first. The 5 Amigoes. Okay, whatever you say, Harvey. Oh! Minnie you are most welcome to the top spot this year. I’m going to just sit back and let you take it. It was way too stressful trying to be the good girl all the time that it messed me up every time I lost house points. So I’m going to let you take over, and I’ll be happy to lose house points,” Alyssa said with a grin. “Just don’t tell Professor Hadley I said that. As for Gobstones, if you don’t mind, I might try out for that too. It’s a lot harder than Quidditch even though it’s an American game, but I’m willing to tag along with you, if you don’t mind.”Alyssa told Minerva.

"Alyssa you would not be tagging along. I was horrible at it last year. I was hoping to read some books about the game over the summer, but that didn't happen. I would love for you to be on the team with me. I would like to try out for Quidditch, but the broom thing freaks me out..."

Gideon took a deep breath, waiting a moment before letting it out and letting it relax him. "Okay...done," he said, assuring Selina he wouldn't dwell too much on the older man's words and he would certainly try to do just that. "Its going to be nice to not have any parents or family bugging us about our relationship for a few months at least," he remarked temporally forgetting about Kacie at the moment. Family was nice but they could be stiffling after a while.

Listening to her talk about getting on her father's goodside through quidditch, he wondered if it would really work. However at her quick coverup of her compliment on his skills, Gideon bit back a laugh. "Is that so, Miss Skylar?" he questioned with raised eyebrow and crossed arms. "Well Cap-tain...don't let the title swell your head too much," he teased. Sure he was quite proud of her and her accomplishment but that didn't mean he had to be easy with her about it.

Harvey listened to the two girls talking and he smiled.. this is what Minnie needed her best friend.. the more girl friends she has the better for her.. as she could have that girl time that she needed away from him. Harvey was shocked to hear that Alyssa was actually thinking about losing points! wow! she had changed a little over the summer.. well if it made her happy he was ok with it.. he just wanted his friends to be happy.. he then listened to Minnie talking about gobstones.. and he remembered that he was supposed to play as well.. but he was not bothered with it anymore.. he had better things to do.. like being with a certain girl in his life.. he then chuckled a little when she talked about the broom freaking her out.. he remembered her last year in the broom.. "Oh Mins.. you will do great on the broom... just need a little practice thats all.." he said to her.. "It would be really good if you and Alyssa were on the team... that way it would be easier for me to choose which team to root for... obviously the one with all the beautiful girls on it." he said chuckling and winking at Alyssa... she WAS beautiful.. but he was not hitting on her.. so she didnt need to freak out about what he just said..

Prue thought about things... Gobstones might also be fun, though as they stated harder... not just that but she wouldn't be on a team with Minnie or Alyssa... instead she'd have to occasionally verse them... of course if she got on to any team and it came to that, if they're teams weren't playing each other she knew she'd be rooting for Hufflepuff. At what Harvey said she grinned, throwing him a mock wounded look. "I feel soooo loved" she stated sarcastically, despite being deeply amused by his statement.

Dallin smiled as Ellie kissed him, then pouted slightly when she pulled away. But... yeah, they were in public and talking and stuff and they probably shouldn't kiss. Even though they'd been away from each other for days... *sigh*

Turning back to Carter, Dallin nodded as Ellie explained. So this was the Quidditch player that Ellie was going to assist. Well... at least Dallin got to meet him, right? Right. "Well it's nice to meet you," he said cheerfully, holding out his free hand for Carter to shake. Maybe this meant that Dallin would be friends with a Quidditch player? Were free tickets in the future? "What team do you play for?"

Finally Dallin noticed the little girl hanging onto Carter. She seemed... excited? Ooh, maybe she was going to Hogwarts! He was about to ask... but then she looked at him. And asked if he was Ellie's boyfriend. Dallin grinned as Ellie answered the girl - Anya, apparently - and nodded his agreement, laughing quietly at Ellie when she giggled.

'I was close...' Rose chuckled, pulling him up. 'Look, stop sulking, and get off your butt, let's go get on the train, eh? My sisters'll be waiting for us, and they get impatient...' she nodded, grinning sheepishly. 'Ooh, and Josh!' Rose said, brightening up as she remembered he'd be there as well.

Logan nodded. "Okay then!" he said. "Let's go.." he said.

Anya beamed. "Be nice. I can do that." she said with a nod. Well... in most cases she could be nice. She wasn't sure how well she would handle it when Alec started making even more friends. She wasn't taking the first new friend well at all.

"Yeah. He's good at picking out presents." she said happily. "He made sure I had lots and lots of stuff for letters too." It was almost like her big brother was worried the she'd forget him. Pft. That would never happen though.

She giggled. "I promise to stay out of too much." She knew that she couldn't promise to stay out of any trouble though. That would take the fun out of life.




"Nice meeting you too." Carter said shaking his hand. Carter was going to mention that he'd heard quite a bit about Dallin but decided against it. Would Dallin have been weirded out that Ellie dropped his name a few times... over cheesecake... alone... with a quidditch player?

Yeah. It was a good thing he didn't mention anything. That sentence was starting to freak Carter out.

"Puddlemere United." Carter answered proudly. He was glad the conversation was on quidditch. ...And not on how he and Ellie knew each other. "I guess I'll be seeing a lot of you soon." Or... at least he assumed so. He promised to take Ellie to quidditch parties and he assumed Ellie would want to take her boyfriend along to such events. And he also assumed that Dallin would be around sometimes when she was reminding Carter of his to-do list.

At least... that's what Carter would do if his girlfriend was in charge of a quidditch player's life. He'd just follow her around while she followed the famous dude around.

You know... if he had a girlfriend...

What were they talking about again? Oh right. Quidditch. "Are you a fan of the sport?" Because he already reserved awesome seats for Ellie and him next season. And yes. He reserved tickets for his personal assistant. Why? Because his family were muggles... so he kind of always had leftover tickets.

And because he liked Ellie. She rubbed his back when he didn't want to leave Hogwarts. And they also shared cheesecake. You don't go through those kind of things without liking the other person.

"Aw. He's cute." Anya said giggling after Ellie told her the boy was her boyfriend. "Hi Ellie's boyfriend." she said grinning at the older boy. "Did you two meet at Hogwarts? Do you think I'll meet a boyfriend at Hogwart? Does Hogwarts have lots of cute boys? When did you start liking boys?" she asked turning her attention back to the girl.

So what if she asked a lot of questions? She was interested. These were the kind of things a girl needed to know before starting school!

Carter's eyes widened as Anya got started with her rapid-fire question session. Merlin. He'd barely made it through whenever she got started. She got overexcited wayyyy too easily.

He clamped his hand over his sister's mouth. "Erm. Yeah. Don't answer her questions. She won't stop." he said giving an apologetic look to Ellie and Dallin.

He then rounded on the little girl... who was squirming under his hand. "Besides... you're too young to like boys."

And Merlin would have to help the boy that tried to change that about his little sister.

So sorry it's short and Enya's not actually leaving.
 

Sigh. She really wasn't in the mood for upset little children. Before the child could say anymore she held up her hands and shouted, "Oi I'm not in the mood for your problems" She sighed once more and let her hands fall to her sides once more as she stood before the girl.

"Enya Mayberry, remember that" She turned to leave at that even though she knew the girl would stop her once more.

Nessie smiled as she went through the wall. She had Kamilah and her trunk at her side and she was ready for a new school year. She spotted Maxwell from across the way. He was with a man she didn't recognise. She shrugged it off. She waved at him eagerly. "Hey Maxwell!" She called.

Aurora grinned, "Thought you might, didn't wanna say anything." she said. "Though, to be honest, the feast is way more impressive than the actual sorting." Because, you know, food....

"I erm," she shifted uncomfortably. "I don't like brooms." she admitted. Though she had a legitimate reason for the undeniable hatred...

"Cool. I would like to try that out, just as long as it doesn't conflict with Quidditch tryouts and practice. As for the broom thing. Didn't you attend the Flying classes last year? They were da bomb!! I loved the second one with the gum drops. Trish, Harvey and I were having so much fun." Alyssa stopped when she mentioned Trish's name. She wondered how her best friend was doing. She really missed her very much.



Alyssa noticed Harvey winking at her but he did that all the time so she wasn't bothered by it. "Harvey, maybe if you try out, Minnie will. Hey Minnie it would be so cool to have you on the team along with Justin. I just feel bad for Harvey because then he'll have us going after him with our bats and bludgers." Alyssa laughed visualizing Harvey trying to outfly one of her bludgers. Now that would be hilarious.

"Yes I did the lessons but was terrified every time. The gum drops scared me to death." she tried to smile, but the thought of being in the air made her shiver. "It would be fun to have Harvey playing against us we could kick his butt." she laughed teasing..
