"Ah well that's still a pretty good name." He grabbed a piece of the toast from the table and slowly ate it, well that was as good of an idea as any since he had been running out of things to say. |

She saw someone sitting by herself, even though the other girl looked slightly unfriendly, or maybe just tired, or maybe Slytherin. For whatever reason, Maddy would talk to her anyway! She sat down across the table and said "Hi you look like you need some company, Im Madison but you can call me Maddy" She grabbed a plate and filled it with veggies. |
Cody could see people walking in her peripheral vision, but tried to pay them no mind. That was until someone actually sat down. Cody let her eyes lift first and then her head as the girl introduced herself. Cody couldn't pretend she wasn't thankful that Maddy was outgoing enough to sit with her. Smiling softly she replied, "Yes thank you... My name is Cody." Sad as it was, Cody had never really had a friend before... unless you counted her parents' elitist Pureblood friends. Cody had rarely ever met anyone her own age before Hogwarts. Hopefully this would be her first friendship? "So what year are you?" Cody asked, trying to not bore Maddy and trying to take her attention off of what Maddy was putting on her plate. Cody wasn't a fan of vegetables, but she simply smiled and took another bite of her carnivore-happy plate. |

Olivia was not one to get easily offended, Part muggle was something she often called herself! "haha"she laughed at Codys question. "Uh, Its not that different actually" The girl said while scratching her head. " Although we do get to know about both worlds when we are part muggle." Olivia diddnt know for sure if dark wizards such as deatheaters still existed after the death of Lord Voldomort, but she wondered if there may be some still out there. "Whats it like being a pureblood, do you know of any dark wizerds?" |

transfiguration homework post 4 Because the library became more crowded, Raven decided to move to Slytherin house table. Raven took her lovely photo from her bag. She put it on the table, then she took a paper that she had drawn the pattern of her frame. one.. two.. three.. "Statua Habitum!" But she didn't get the frame that she wanted. "Reverto!" Huft... She decided to back to dorm. |
After sitting for ten minutes at the snakes table an owl zoomed by his head and perched itself next to Kennedy on the table. It stretched out its leg and...was it glaring at him? The, big, black owl with amber eyes was just...staring at him. It suddenly gave a loud hoot, causing Kennedy to jump. He warily took the elegant looking parchment from the creature's leg and lifted a piece of bacon so it could take, but the darn owl ignored him, sticking its beak into the air. Huh? Arrogant little...monster. With another loud hoot, the black owl flew off. Kennedy shook his head. What a strange thing. Hmm, now that he thought about it, he's never seen that owl at the Owlery...Who's sent him a letter then? He slowly pulled the green ribbon from the parchment. His mom definitely didn't use ribbons to tie letters. She did it the muggle way with envelops and stamps...even if she didn't need to. When he opened the letter he found something that was completely and utterly unexpected... SPOILER!!: Letter! :O .... To say the boy was surprised is a great understatement. That MAN...THAT MAN...How DARE he call him son! Kennedy was beyond outraged. He was furious! He crumpled the parchment in his hand and held it in a fist. |
Quote:
Anyway, that wasn't important right now. Aurora stopped just short of Kennedy and sat down, throwing her arms around him. She didn't know what to say... she'd never been in his situation and she never would be, so she just hugged him. She had no idea what he was feeling. Was he sad? Angry? Confused? Surprised? ... Whichever it was... there wasn't much she could do about it except from try and make him feel better. |
Quote:
He slightly pulled away and held the letter to her. Maybe she wanted to read what the Man had said. If she didn't that was okay, he wished himself to not have opened it. "Thanks...for coming," he said, trying his best to smile, but failing. How could he smile when he felt such anger toward someone? |
Quote:
Thanks for coming? How could she not? "Bhí mé- sorry." Urgh. Stupid language. "I just wanted to make sure you were okay..." she said, stroking a curl from his face. "Are you..?" Stupid question. Of course he's not okay, Aurora. She took hold of his hand, "Whatever it says... it doesn't matter." she said quietly... she didn't want to say something wrong. "It's none of his business..." |
Quote:
He tilted his head to the side at the foreign language, but when she clarified he said, "I...don't know." Now that he thought about it, he wasn't sure what to do, or if he was okay. Yeah, he felt anger...but then...the thought of his father remembering that he still existed brought on this entire wave of alien feelings. He wasn't ever sure if he should tell his mom about it. "I-I'll be fine though," he nodded. Yeah, it wasn't the end of the world. As much as he wanted to agree with her words, he couldn't. It somehow did matter. His FATHER had sent him a letter and...expected him to make the "family proud". What family?...And then, the man insulted his mom. "B-But it does," he said, shaking his head. He knew he was being stupid...at least he knew who he got that from. "He's treating me like he knows me and then...he criticizes my upbringing." It was just outrages. He looked up at Aurora. She didn't need to be hearing this. "I'm sorry, I'm just being stupid," he said, grinning slightly. He was. |
Quote:
Aurora scowled, "He has no right to do that..." she muttered and, out of curiosity, picked up and read the letter. How dare he! Just because... urgh... "Clearly he is realising what a fabulous son he has." she said, dropping the letter again. "But there is no way he can take any credit for it..." "It's not stupid..." she said. Honestly; he'd listened to her cry and complain about loads of things... he'd been there when Katja... so the least she could do was be there for him now. Then he grinned a bit and she leant forwards to kiss him... just to let him know that, whatever might happen with that Man, she was here for him now. Probably not the best idea, since he was a prefect and all... but there was no staff around and it was just a quick peck so it was okay... right? Right. She sat back and brushed a red curl behind her ear, "Look on the brightside," she said, smiling slightly, "It's nearly Christmas!" And Aurora would be leaving for the holidays tomorrow... She wished she didn't have to leave now... but she had an exam in two days so she couldn't miss it. |
Quote:
"I'm not fabulous," he said shaking his head. He wasn't all that great to begin with. He did't have anything to pride himself of. He was PLAIN. Aurora couldn't possibly understand that. She's had a great life. Luxuries, everything she wanted and even a family. He...he hasn't and will never have that. He realized he shouldn't been thinking that. It was neither's fault who their parents were. "I don't think there's a bright side," he said with a chuckle that didn't reach his eyes. Christmas seem to make this all worse. "How am I going to tell my mom about this? She's going to freak," he said. He was a terrible liar and he knew that his mom would see right through him if he tried to lie. Gaaaaaaaaaah! Could this get any worse? |
Apologies if it makes no sense - I'm very tired. Quote:
"But... There's always a bright side." she muttered, looking down. "You just have to look really really hard sometimes." she said quietly. She'd become a bit of an expert in optimism... It was the only way to survive what seemed like endless amounts of bad luck that came with being part of the Quinn family. Sure, they had money and all sorts of material things, but there was always someone in trouble or accused of something or in hospital. The only way Aurora had been able to find to stop herself going mad was to find or invent something good in every situation. As for telling his mom... "Well... I don't know. It's not your fault he wrote to you." she said weakly. She was running out of things to say fast. "Maybe she'll understand how upset you are and not freak out..?" She was clutching at straws here - she had no idea how his mother would react... She put her hand into her pocket and retrieved her jelly babies. "Here, sweets always make me feel better... I still have some left from sharing them with Sammy earlier..." So maybe it was a bit lame, but she just wanted to cheer him up... and jelly babies always did it for her - even these muggle ones... |
Quote:
His mom wouldn't blame it on him of course, but he knew THIS would stress her out majorly and he was going to avoid that. Yep, he was going to try to hold this off as long as he could. "I think...I won't tell her, for now," he shrugged. His head kind of snapped up when he heard the name Sammy. He's seen Aurora with this other guy, maybe her year or his, and he wondered if it was this Sammy dude. He took a jelly baby and said, "Who's Sammy, is it the same guy I saw you with at the ground?" He's seen them somewhere, but couldn't recall exactly where. Kennedy didn't want to come off as the jealous type, but what he was told some time ago was still bothering him. |
Quote:
"Don't you think..." she started carefully, not wanting to say something wrong. "That maybe... maybe she'd be annoyed if she found out you hadn't told her?" Aurora frowned and swallowed the jelly baby in her mouth. "No... Sammy's my serpent sidekick..." she said, shoving the bag of jelly babies back into her pocket. "It might've been Bradley... why? Jealous?" she teased, smiling weakly. Was he jealous? Really? 'Cause that was kinda cute... he had no need to be... but it was still kinda cute. |
Quote:
Oh, Serpent Sidekick. He wanted one, but unfortunately he was too busy. "Bradley?" he said. He hasn't met that guy. Who was he? GULP. She had read him. "No." He shook his head, slightly frowning. He didn't want to be jealous, but how could he stop it. |
Quote:
"Yeah, met him on the train in September." she explained, her eyes searching Kennedy's face for jealousy. Really..? Jealous of Bradley? Just because she was nice to someone didn't mean there was any reason to be jealous... even if it was rare that she decided to befriend someone. He said no... but he was frowning... "You really don't have to be..." Come to think of it... she was slightly offended... did he really think she'd do anything that he had to be jealous of?! |
Quote:
"You did," he said, slowly nodding. That's how they'd met. Stop it, Escanlante. His mind was already paranoid one as it is, and this and what he was told just mounted up into a hill of confusion. "How can I not be when you..." He looked down at his hands, his frown deepening. This wasn't good. He wasn't in the best of moods and discussing this wasn't helping. He shouldn't have nothing to begin with. |

He felt like he was on spot and he didn't like it. "When you..." The words seem to be stuck in his throat. "When you kissed another guy!" There. He said it. Was she happy now? |
