Amerthyst was really shocked at Justin's behavior. She looked at he and Minnie and slowly backed away. For the first time ever, she felt replaced. She turned and went to sit against a bench she wasn't going to show her feelings and she wasn't about to cause any trouble. She had one purpose only. Protection. She saw something, she could see them kissing. But where we're they? She shook the image off; they'd never to that.

Minerva tried to give a little smile. "Well if you need anyone to talk to you always know I'm here, right? Justin I hope the rage isn't my fault. I put everyone through so much this summer. It has been horrible for all of us and I keep trying to tell myself that. I might have had a lot happen, but I put you all through just as much." She then noticed Ame sitting alone. "Ame come sit down with us." She looked concerned at Ame and then to Alyssa wondering what was going on. She wasn't sure why Ame didn't go get Justin when Minerva had asked her to before and now she walked away. Maybe Justin was right, maybe something was bothering her.

" No, you needn't blame yourself for this. I-I just feel different inside. Like something is taking me over. I don't know if it's the wands or what. But I am filled with this unexplicable rage. .... I can't discribe it. " he said unsatisfied with his answer. He really didn't like the way he felt
, but nothing he did could curb it.


Justin saw Amethyst walk over to them. He straightened up hoping she would take her rightful place next to him. Instead she went and sat by herself. " See, Minnie? She just doesn't want to be with me anymore. Why didn't she come sit with me? Can you go find out what's going on? " he asked with the saddest look Minnie had ever seen on his face.

Minerva frowned at the way he looked. "Of course I can." she said getting up. She looked at Alyssa "want some girl time with us?" and she headed towards Ame. "Ame are you ok?" sitting down next to Ame and leaving room for Alyssa if she wanted to sit as well.

Amethyst looked down at her hands. What was this feeling? It wasn't normal. She saw Minnie coming over and made room for her. She didn't know what to say, but she had to be honest. "I'm not okay...so many things are coming through my mind. If I ask you something, please be honest, Minnie...." She sighed looking at she and Justin.

Aurora shrugged, "Sorta... but when you do the wrong thing with a cake there's not much chance of an explosion." she said, grinning wickedly. Not that there was always chance of explosion with potions... just more often than with cake. "Slytherins? Snakes!" She flicked open the clasp of her trunk and grabbed her scarf - lucky thing it was on the top - to show him the Slytherin crest. "Snakes are cool, my uncle has a bunch of them." she said absentmindedly, shoving the scarf haphazardly back into her case. "Well yes... supposed... a lot of the time it seems to be more of the stupidity side of it. But I won't say anything else... you could be a Gryffindor for all I know." she said, laughing slightly. "Brave? I'm... more of an avoid-situations-that-require-bravery sort of person." she admitted. "Because those situations are usually dangerous."

"Of course we do... what else do you do with a greenhouse?" Was there some weird muggle greenhouse use she had never heard of..? Maybe. "You never know, maybe there wont be much cleaning up to do this year." she reassured him. "I don't think it's intimidating." A little weird maybe... but then who was she to judge accents? She sounded like someone had dunked her in glue and dragged her through Europe.

"Well, maybe having a strict tutor means I learnt more." she teased - she hadn't been able to get away with much - Helga had always brought a few mischief-detectors... Aurora shrugged, "Not really... I mean, I just kinda thought that was how everyone's life worked, you know? And I used to go out and stuff." Especially with Xaia - the best friend EVER - and Katja... Don't think about it... She pushed the thought f Katja aside. "Well I know some stuff... like, I even went to Disney World over the summer... and I know what a TV is and stuff." If only because Kennedy had been so horrified when she said she didn't.

She absentmindedly fiddled with the end of a red curl... the whole naturally bright hair thing had been a source of amusement for her best friend for years... especially because she was part Irish... Li'l Leprechaun was not her favourite nickname... nor was it one she was going to be revealing any time soon.

"It's not really that impressive if you think about it - I was brought up in a house where you couldn't be awake for more than an hour without hearing more than one language." Especially when Tiff was home from Beauxbatons... "What's 'mockney?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "Fair enough, I wish I could have chosen but I couldn't help learning..." she said, shrugging. Sometimes she wondered if her dyslexia - however mild - was because her head was filled with so many spoken languages that anything written down just wouldn't work. "Never heard of Brixton either." she said, smiling slightly at her own ignorance - it wasn't her fault - she knew plenty of the districts of Berlin or Cologne...

Alyssa looked over to see that Oakey was feeling left out. "Come on over, Oakey. We're just catching up on old times and what happened over the Summer." Alyssa suspected that Oakey had been fibbing about him being in Salem, so she decided that she was going to try to get him to tell Nessie the truth, because Nessie deserved to know the truth. "So Oakey about Salem. Did you spend all your time there or did you do other stuff as well? I bet it must have been fun." 'Okay Oakey, time to 'fess up and tell Nessie the truth,' Alyssa thought to herself as she looked pointedly at Oakey. She nodded to him encouraging him to tell the truth.



"Oh Merlin, if Justin hadn't stepped in. I would have. That's the only reason why I was quiet. I was counting to 100. I know that we're not supposed to fight but I was really tempted to show her a couple of my Tae Kwon Do moves. The nerve of that girl. Are you okay, Minnie. I saw you wince when she grabbed your arm, and you don't have to apologize for what you said to her, she deserved it. She was totally mean. Whoa! Justin you were so totally fierce. But you shouldn't worry about that. That was just your adrenaline pumping. Fight vs Flight reaction. You were protecting your friends. Amethyst, you shouldn't be mad or afraid of Justin. Why are you sitting there all by yourself. Come join us."Alyssa told everyone including Amethyst whose face looked pale...plus there was something off. Alyssa couldn't put her finger on. The way she looked at Minerva and Justin.

Alyssa went over to join Minnie and Ame. "Ame, are you okay? What's going on in your mind, girl. Come on. You can talk to us." Alyssa put an arm around Amethyst.

" No, Lyssie. I don't feel quite like myself lately. I don't know.... NBut moving on to the great news! I heard you've decided to come bak to us!. " he said as he gave her a big hug. " I'm so happy to hear that. I wouldn't want anyone else out flying me out there on the pitch. " he joked. He even managed a little grin as he said it.

Only after a few steps, Nessie felt someone hug and before she knew it someone was talking too. By the time she realized it was actually Alyssa, that was rambling was sort of too late, because she didn't hear half the things Lyssie was saying. All she cought was something about Aaron and breaking up, and then she heard something about summer. Pouting a little Nessie looked at Alyssa with a serious face. She was a little disapointed that she had to hear from Lyssie's sister that her and Aaron had broken up. It was as though Lyssie didn't trust her and it sort of hurt. "I..er..I.." she couldn't bring it up so without thinking she said something else. "I..er..don't know what to say." she looked to her feet so Lyssie couldn't see she was hiding something.

Now she just sounded like a weirdo. She pouted once more trying to think of how to distract Lyssie from what she had just said. "Er.." right Alyssa had asked her about her summer. "Um..summer..it was...um great." That was a lie, but anything to keep the topic away from the break up. It was probably killing Lyssie to even think about it, and Ness knew if she could she would have wanted to be distracted all the time when she was upset.

With a sigh of relief, Ness sort of grinned when she saw Oakey catching up with the two. He'd hopefully change the subject, because to be honest the last thing Nessie ever wanted to talk about was her summer. "So umm...Oakey..how was your summer?" It wasn't the greatest way to cover up the things she wanted to, but it was better than nothing. Also Oakey's summer must have been way more interesting than hers.

The weird thing was, was that her summer wouldn't have been that bad. The therapy was alright and so was visiting her best friend. It was the fact that she had found out about her mother being pregnant. She didn't understand why it was a shock. She already had a little sister, but for some odd reason this news really upset her. It was weird and it was all so confusing.

Looking back at the older girl, Lana smiled. "It was an interesting day. I had fun exploring for sure." Well untell she had gotten lost, but no one really needed to know about that at the moment. Leaning in to hear what was being whispered to her, she nodded again. Laura had seemed concerned early about something, but she hadn't really mentioned it and now it was just becoming for clear to here. "I'll have to pass that on to her," she replied back in a whisper.
Turning her attention back on her sister completely, she giggled as well. They did always find a way to make each other cheer up. "Well the conductor knows where we are going and he makes sure the train gets where it needs to be," she explained with a nod. It wasn't like the train was leading itself to this Hogwarts place on its own. Laura was talking about it like it was a living thing.

Glancing back at the train, she tilted her head as if she was studying the train for a moment. "I think it would take a lot for it to go off the tracks." The train was super heavy and she was pretty sure that gravity was on their side and it wasn't like the train would be taking sharp bends that were unexpected, right?

Looking back over at Laura, she nodded and smiled weakly. "I will just have to properly meet him then." She did feel a bit bad now about not stopping to meet him before, but she was way too excited about everything. Returning the hug, she nodded and put on a brave face again. "If you say so, you know how I want to have at least a few friends." It wasn't like she needed friends to be happy or anything, she just thought it would be nice to have them.

Looking around, Lana noticed another girl nearby and waved. She looked nice. "Hi, I'm Lana."

If she was going to try to make friends, she might as well start now and see what happened.

Listening to what was being said, she nodded. It was Laura's first year as well? Hearing this made her feel a little bit more at ease. She wouldn't be a complete newbie at this school alone. Deep inside, she knew that there was probably a huge number of them that were starting school as first years, but she wasn't at all focused on that at the moment.

Laura looked around suddenly the station was starting to get busy and she didn't like it, she looked at her mummy was was standing near so she could keep an eye on them. "Your probably right." Laura laughed as she took another look at the train. "I thought the driver would know where we were going." Laura was shocked if the driver didn't know surely they would be lost forever.

Laura looked at Lana and then when someone else spoke she decided to go and stand with her mummy, she wasn't sure if Lana would want her interupting when she was trying to make a friend and she could easily see Laura so it wasn't like they were to far apart and she could talk to her sister when she had finished with the other Laura.

Alyssa frowned when she heard Amethyst confide in Minnie. 'Oh dear, I do hope that Justin and Amethyst are okay. I hate to see their relationship go bust. They are supposed to be soulmates.' Alyssa thought to herself.



"Yep! I'm glad to be back. All I need to do now is tryout and hope to get on the team. As for outflying you, I don't know. You're pretty fast out there too. What broomstick are you using?"Alyssa asked Justin.



Alyssa knew that she was speaking too fast. She just wanted to get the Aaron breakup out of the way. It still hurt that they didn't even manage to get through the summer, but she was glad that they managed to talk before the new term started. That was the only reason why she was back in Hogwarts. She just wished that she had kept in contact with Nessie more during the summer. Maybe she could have confided in her. But Nessie had been secretive about what she was going to be doing, so it was hard to find her. She frowned when Nessie didn't really reveal much about her summer either. 'I guess she didn't have a good one too.' Alyssa thought to herself sighing. 'I wonder whether anybody had a good summer. Maybe Oakey did,'Alyssa thought as she saw Oakey come running back to join them.

" Ya know.... I don't know really. My stepmom gave me a new one just a few minutes ago. Here , take a look. I can't figure it out. " Justin said as he handed the brand new broom. " She said it was for beaters and chasers. I don't know. " he shrugged.

Minerva looked at Alyssa worried then looked at Ame again. "Of course you can ask me anything Ame. Your one of my best friends. I will do anything for you just ask."

Alyssa looked at the broom. It definitely wasn't a Firebolt, because she had one and it didn't look like it. "I'm not sure. It could be a Comet or a Cleansweep. Either one, it's good for Beaters or Chasers. At least that's what I heard." Alyssa shrugged as she continued to study the broom. "Maybe Professor Vindictus will know what it is. You should ask him." Alyssa suggested to Justin.

Alyssa exchanged looks with Minnie. This didn't doing good at all, but Alyssa decided to stay quiet, for a change, and let Amethyst reveal to them what was bothering her.

Justin listened intently to what Lyssie was saying. " Yeah, you think he'll be able to tell me. " he agreed. " So, enough talk about brooms and things. How was your holiday.... Minus the stuff about Aaron. I already heard the scuttlebutt from your sister Cody. " he smiled.

He was on the FLOOR!!! That's why she didn't see him at first. Obviously.

That was funny, though, him apologizing. "It's okay..." Ellie thought about leaving it like that, or making a comment to make the kid feel like it was his fault, but after getting a good look at him, she felt bad. He was just an ickle one, after all. Probably all alone and scared in a sea of BIG KIDS SUCH AS HERSELF. So she added, "It wasn't your fault. I'm sorry. Hope you're okay?"

And again, him asking if she were alright. "Of course. I'm fine."

"Your first year, then?" The lost-lamb look gave him away, really.

She was regretting asking this but she needed to ease all this tension. "Have...you and Justin kissed before..?" She wasn't really sure how she'd react to the answer, but it was her type of closure.

Daichi pushed his cart with his luggage forward over the North end of the Platform. He wished that he was off age so he could levitate his things with magic instead of pushing it. As he was walking, music blasted in his ears from the muggle mp3 he had in his ears and he sighed when in some time he wouldn't be able to use this when he was at Hogwarts.

He looked around in the hope of finding anyone he knew but they all looked unfamiliar to him so he walked further. Reaching the middle of the platform, Daichi stopped and leaned with a heavy sigh over the cart handle. The next song came and Daichi giggled to himself when heard it was the Chicken Dance. He remembered having to dance to this song in Muggle Studies and... it seemed like he had been one of the only people to like the dance/song .

Daichi raised the volume up and before he knew it, his upper body started to move to the beat. Ah how did that dance go again?! The boy closed his eyes as he hummed to the song and when remembering he started to dance.

He didn't care if he was doing it all wrong or not. After the song was over he pouted his lips and a shy blush appeared on his cheeks as he looked around at the crowded platform before clearing his throat. He pretended to act cool while leaning against his luggage.

As Logan walked down the platform, he noticed a boy doing...the chicken dance! He chuckled and watched, until he decided to join him. What the heck, he didn't care what people thought of him.

Melanie gaped at the crowded platform that materialized in front of her. It was a sea of giggling students and adults wearing bad attempts at Muggle attire. Of course, Melanie had no one to see her off. Which is probably for the best, she thought as she noticed a man walking past her was wearing leg warmers on his arms. She doubted her step-father would have been able to dress non-wizardly any better.

Melanie approached the front of the train and realized that she had no one to help her with her trunk, and she certainly wouldn't be able to load it onto the train by herself. The only other thing she had was her cat, and she could carry his cage easy enough. She looked around, hoping that there would be people that would be assigned to this very task. Having no luck, she realized she would have to ask a random stranger, which was no easy feat for a nervous first year. She surveyed the crowd, trying to find someone that didn't look terribly intimidating, but also looked like they could help her. Her eyes found a family that was gathered around one of the doors to the train, seemingly saying their goodbyes. The girl looked about her age. Maybe she's a first year too, Melanie wondered as she approached.

"Um, excuse me," she said nervously, wheeling her trolley up to the group. "I don't have anyone with me and this trunk is really heavy. Do you think you could help me get it into a compartment, please?" she asked meekly.

Jezzabelle found herself back at the other end of the platform. She might end up getting on the train alone but at this point she didn't really mind. The rambling in her head seemed to keep her at peace somewhat. She thought about what everyone she had told her and was more excited to go to Hogwarts than ever before.

As she crossed she heard some odd music playing and looked around spotting Daichi doing some odd dance to the music. After her finished he seemed just fine. She wanted to go talk to him but decided to just keep walking. If anyone wanted to talk to her they would approach her. So she ambled along that platform with hope in her eyes that someone may talk to her and tell her more about the school she would, hopefully, soon call home.

Woah, wait a minute hold up! O___o

was that kid actually dancing along with him? Not that he minds of course because now he wasn't the only one making a fool of himself. Maybe he should start a flash mob or something?

Daichi grinned at the little boy. "You know this dance?" he asked as he took out his earphones from his ears and checked with his hand if his small angel wing earring was still in. As he looked down at the kid, Daichi wondered if he had seen him before at Hogwarts or if he was a first year. "I'm Daichi..." he smiled a little. "What's you're name?"

His dark brown eyes then noticed someone familiar. Someone he knew was looking at him! It hadn't been so embarrassing to lose yourself in to the music when you know no one but when someone you know looks at you while dancing , is just awkward.

But, he couldn't let it show that he was embarrassed! "YO, JEZZ~!" he shouted from where he was standing and hoped he didn't scare the little boy next to him. The Slytherin waved his arm up and down and grinned.

As Logan walked around the platform, he noticed a girl around his age. He walked up to her and smiled. "Hi there, I'm Logan!" he said.

Logan nodded eagerly and stopped. "I learned it at my muggle school!" he said. "Nice to meet you, Daichi. I'm Logan!" he said.

Her name was being called and she turned around to see Daichi waving his arm up and down at her. Jezz beamed at him, waved back, and then pushed her trolley over to him. "Hey!" She didn't feel nervous like she had when she had first talked to the older boy.

She wanted to comment on his dancing, still curious as to what it was, but she didn't. She looked at the other boy standing with him and wasn't sure if she should introduce herself first or allow Daichi do the introductions.

Well, that solved the answer to her question. She smiled at Logan, "I'm Jezzabelle but I let people call me Jezz."
