Skip, skippety skip. Grace bounced - skipped, whatever - happily round the aisles, picking up bits of candy as she went. She may have been on a leeeetle bit of a sugar high, but that was no big deal. It was a CANDY STOREE! It was okay to be hyper in a candy store. Yes. It was. She stopped in front of a particularly nice-looking box of chocolate, and was about to pick it up when she looked at the price.

Well, that was an instant mood-downer. It just served to remind her that she could hardly afford anything here. Glancing down at all the stuff in her hands, she realised she probably wouldn't have enough money for all of that either. Sigh...

Kurumi, having finally finished her purchases, stumbled around with her bags of candies through the narrow aisles packed with students. It was then that she noticed a girl looking more than a bit down in the dumps. Wait...this was a Slytherin girl who looked sad to be in a candy store?! All her friends were hyper to the max when it came to sugar and sweets.

"You OK?"

Grace looked up with a start as a voice pulled her from her thoughts. Was someone talking to her? Really? Oh, yay! An opportunity to make another friend! And her sister had said she'd never make any... well. Pfft. She sighed again and put most of the sweets back on the shelf, keeping a bag of sugar quills and a chocolate frog.

'I'm fine, thanks. Just a bit put out, I didn't realise it was so expensive in here,' she said, frowning slightly. But frowning was bad, so she quickly replaced it with a smile and held out her hand to the girl 'I'm Grace Philips. Slytherin Firstie!' she said, her old happy self again 'And you are?'

Kurumi smiled at the super bubbly green-eyed girl in front of her. Judging solely on her first impression, this girl had to be friends with Katie and Fee. But, that conversation would have to come a little later. Right now, she needed to focus on not making a fool of herself on yet another first greeting.

It was actually a big relief that the girl offered her a handshake as it prevented her from reverting back to her usual bowing. "It's nice to meet you Grace," she said taking the girl's hand and giving it a light shake. "I'm Kurumi Hollingberry, a Gryffindor first year."

'Nice to meet you too, Kurumi. I like your name, it's really pretty. But definitely not English, so where are you from? I'm going to guess Japan, but I'm probably wrong...' she trailed off, realising she was babbling again. She just couldn't help it, she was so darn excited to be at Hogwarts! 'Sorry,' she said, smiling apologetically at Kurumi. Fail.

'Oh, you're Gryffindor? I've not met any Gryffindors yet, only Slytherins and Hufflepuffs. What's it like in Gryffindor?' she asked curiously, wanting to find out as much about the other houses as possible.

Kurumi giggled. There had to be something in the water over there in Slytherin that was making all the girls hyper and babblers - but it was kind of cute and quirky.

"I am from Japan, actually," she smiled bowing slightly. Ah! She was bowing...Kurumi blushed and began playing with her long black hair. "Gryffindor is a lot of fun. I've met a lot of really nice people and the common room is so warm." Red and gold were very warm colors after all.

Grace noticed Kurumi giggling, and couldn't help but laugh a little too. She knew she was a bit odd when she was all babble-y and hyper, and couldn't blame Kurumi for finding it funny. As long as she didn't think Grace was mad, they were in business!

'Oh, I was right!' Grace said happily, watching as Kurumi bowed slightly. Was that how they greeted people in Japan? It was quite cool, way better than a handshake. Chyeah, she wanted to do that. 'I bet it is. It's kinda cold down in the Slythie common room, I guess cause it's in the dungeons. But it's nice if you sit by the fire...'

Kurumi didn't really like cold places, unless there was snow, but she very much doubted there was any snow in the Slytherin common room. On top of it all, Kurumi was really afraid of the Dragon Lady.*shiver*

"So, Grace, how are you liking Hogwarts?" she said still noticing that the Slytherin girl was holding a box of chocolates in her hand.

"Correct!" The boy beamed as Emmy guessed his correct age, "Fourteen and a Fourth Year! T'is the Year of the Four!" Patroclus laughed sounding like some phoney Diviner!


"Ohhh January's not too far away! Having a party?" Patroclus liked parties, food and fun, what could be better! "I can get you some Whizzing Frizzbees for your Birthday!" Patroclus played with the ones in his basket.....they were for him, but he would come back!
"Having a nice year?" Last year seemed sooooo long ago!

Selena looked at the displays of candy for a while, unsure of what to get. Sugar, sugar sugar... choices, choices, choices. Selena was good with sugar not choices. She sighed and walked to a random aisle hoping to find something that would catch her eye. What was sad was that she was in a candy store and she couldn't decide what to get. That was just lame.

He had Evelyn with him plus he was surrounded by sweets. Hehehe. What else he needed to be happy? Nothing. That was quite enough to make the Gryffindor boy the happiest person in the world. So, as he watched the girl pick up one of the wands this was the only thought in the boy's mind till she spoke again making him focus back on the sweets since her words were about them.

''Mmmm yes i think i want some Liquorice wands'' and as he wrapped her arms around his waist he picked up the red one that she placed back as well as a black one he had been eyeing. Hmm. Two were enough he guessed since he did not have much money with him. Buut it would be rude to not to ask ''Do you want something? A Chocolate Frog maybe?''

'Liking it? Oh, I love it!' Grace said with a grin, even though she'd hardly been there long. About a week. Silly coming-in-late-ness. Hmmph. 'I think it's amazing. Did you know you were a witch before you came? I had no idea, I'm the first person in my family with magic. How about you, are you a Pureblood? Or Muggleborn, like me?' she asked eagerly, quite unaware of the fact that she might look quite weird right now. Oh wells. She was always weird.

Grace looked up at a girl wearing the smae colour robes as her with a smile. She looked as if she couldn't decide. Poor her... perhaps Grace should help? 'Get these, they're delish!' she said with a smile, pulling a small - affordable, almost, for her - blue box of truffles off the shelf and holding them out to the girl. Yum, truffles.

Selena looked up and saw a girl who was getting a box of truffles and holding them out to her. "Oh, thanks," she said with a grin, "But I buy sugar in big portions," she said smirking as she stood on her tiptoes and reached for the biiiig box above her head. "I'm Selena, Selena Zabini-Riddle," Selena added as she continued to bat at the space above her head. Why was she so short again? Ugggh. Oooh. Got it!! GOOOOT IT~ HAH!

"IN YOUR FACE TALL SHELF!!!" Selena said with a smirk. Hah. Oh wait. The girl was still there. Ooooh wellls.

Grace giggled, and put the box back on the shelf below the larger one that he girl was attempting to reach. That was going to go well, wasn't it, since this girl was only a couple inches taller then Grace herself? And Grace was SHORT, right. 'Big portions, lucky you,' she said, sighing. She couldn't afford big portions of anything, unless it was second-hand. Ugh. Not that she was complaining, because she loved all her stuff. But still, big portions of sugar. How tempting was that?

'Nice to meet you, Selena,' Grace said with a smile 'I'm Grace, Grace Philips,' she added, waving shyly. She wondered if Selena was older? She looked older, but she was failry short, so... well. She wasn't going to say anything, though. She knew what it was like to be small.

'YEAH TAKE THAT STUPID SHELF!' Grace cried happily, getting a little caught up in the moment. *giggle*

Selena nodded and then grinned as she held the big blue box in her hand. "Naaawwwh, it's normal, should see me when I'm eating," Selena said with a smirk. Hmm... one box or two...? or three? hmm... Two. Because Sel liked even numbers and everything good came in twos. She reached up again and jumped, batting at the air. Grrrr. Stupid tall shelves!! MAKE THEM SHORTER FOR THE VERTICALLY CHALLENGED!!! Blech.

"It's nice to meet you too Grace," Selena said grinning as she looked at the girl she was almost eye-level with. *gasp* she was like... an inch taller. Buahaha. YAY! Awesomeness. Selena then resumed jumping and trying to get the stupid box. "I feel so stupid," Selena said realizing she was a witch. *facepalm* "Accio blue chocolate truffle box," she said, taking out her wand and then boom. It fell on her head. Ouch. Great.

"Evil box of doom," she muttered. Just like with the fluffy strawberry popcorn. Grrrr. Evil little nasties. "Do you want something Grace?" Selena asked. Selena went to pick up the fallen box and dumped it into the basket she had. Buahaha. Now... time to hunt for more sugar.

Amber walked into Honeydukes, stomping her boots on the door mat before stepping onto the wooden floor. Her whole outfit was meant for outside, but it was nice and warm in here. She might have to take her jacket off! GASP! She took off her mittens and put them in her purse, looking at the huge selection of candy before her. Hmm, she had enough money to get a few things for herself and her friends, so she started looking.

Travis walked into Honeydukes, a smile plastered on his face. He looked around and spotted a very familiar red head, his smile became a grin. He sneaked up behind her and yelled "BOO!!" He smiled huge, he knew that she would be mad, but he just could not help himself.

Amber screamed and jumped at least 2 feet into the air. She turned around and was about to hit whoever scared her when she realized who it was. "TRAVIS! You scared me!" She fake-glared, punching him lightly on the arm. "You're gonna get us kicked out of here!" She smiled, noticing the many faces that had turned to look at them. Whatever. "C'mere, I need you to help me pick out some stuff for my friends, including you." She took his hand and led him over to a display of lollipops, picking out a purple one with green swirls and examining it.

Emmy laughed, and grinned back at him.
"No, it's only a few weeks now! D'you think I should have a party then?" hopefully, she might even be able to rope him in to help with organising... Tee hee!
"Ooh, that'd be nice - yes please! Can we go and have a look at the chocolate?"

And then he asked that fatal question. Emmy stopped dead, her mouth opening and closing like a goldfish, but nothing came out.

"Thats a given." Jimmy joked. "But I do need to go shopping. A necessary evil. Maybe you could come along with me? I could use a second opinion." Heck, he could bring all his girls along. They were the ones that he was dressing to impress after all. They could just dress him and he could stand there, half-naked, and let them.

Heehee.

His little daydream was interrupted quite pleasantly with snogging. Not complaining at all, James wrapped his arms about Mia's waist and cheerfully and industriously snogged her back. Who needed candy? Pshawww.

Leaning back against him, she smiled as he took the red wand that she had just placed back. Wait, that was the red one she picked up right? Or a different one? Not that it mattered.

"Hmm, no. They don't sell what i want here." she said, turning around to face him. Though she did catch something out of the corner of her eye that distracted her slightly. Eh? Was that Destiny?

Naaah. Destiny would know better then to come in here. Psssh. RIGHT!?!?!?!? "You ready?" Because even though she allowed Josh to go into her personal space, didn't mean she allowed EVERYONE to. "Or do you want something else?"

Unscrambling a letter she had smashed a few days earlier, Cosette let out a small winded sigh, re-reading over the few words that she still trying to understand. Her brother was like her, in only a few ways. He hated snow ball fights, liked to wear leather jackets and the biggest of all was he didn't like dating. Just like her. Biting her lip she folded the letter up and stuck it back in her leather jacket pocket.

Maybe it had to deal with her last letter. She had confided in him, explaining that she might have found someone worthy enough of her attention. That didn't mean go find a girl yourself. She could only imagine what dinner with the new girl would be like. Rolling hey gray eyes, she stopped before a small display of candy. Plucking a Blood Pop off of the shelf, she rolled the stem of the cardboard in her fingers. She always had a fondness for blood pops, though she never knew why.

Travis smiled satisfied as she jumped, he laughed as she glared at him, "I am sorry my dear but I just couldn't help myself," he said, he shrugged, "I don't think they will kick us out as long as we stay quiet for now on." He grinned as she took his hand and led him over to a display of lollipops, he placed his arms around her waist and stood behind her resting his head on her shoulder looking at the lollipop, "that is a yummy lollipop, its green apple."

"Of course you couldn't, because you're you." Amber glared, then smiled. She continued looking at the lollipops. "Yeah, let's hope so." Amber suddenly felt arms around her waist and a head on her shoulder. GAH! Travis was an expert at making her blush now, it was getting veeeeeeery annoying. "Really? Then what's the purple taste like? I mean, I get that the green is the green apple and... yeah." She giggled, putting the lollipop down and picking up a red and blue one. Hmm, would Brant like this? How about Sal? Kurumi? Nah, Kurumi would like cookies better than anything, and Sal would like roast beef, apparently. So maybe Brant... or Aiden? URGG, she couldn't decide! Plus she had to buy Travis's treat when he wasn't around, or just say she was buying it for someone else. She had a 'special' treat in mind for him. (Nose-biting teacup, anyone?)

"Hmm I don't know." Mia placed a finger to her lips pretending to think about it. "You. Me. And a change room. Could be kinda dangerous don't you think?"

She was just teasing him.

Maybe.

Now this was how everyday should be spent. In the arms of a good looking guy and snogging his face off. That was until a little squeak came from Jimmy's scarf and Mia hastily pulled away.

"Ooops I think I may have squashed Rufus, a little." Poor little monkey.
