He didn't manage to tackle her, did he? Text Cut: Sweet Chandler xD Louisa was still crouching staring at the ground when someone shouted... at her? She tilted her head to find a boy indeed looking at her and... ... why was he running toward her? She jumped on her feet and ran in the opposite direction, not that she would outrun him since he was larger -yes, not only taller but larger- than her. Since the opposite direction was the evil tree, she slowed down and looked back at him. What did he say anyway? She didn't get it. Was her Ravenclawness wearing off because of thinking too much about "the he" ? =O Standing still Louisa was going to see why an older student would shout at her and then try to run toward her, she wasn't a famous person last time she checked... ...unless he saw her throw the stone which would make her rather annoyed since it was her problem whether she wanted to throw a stone or not. The tree was used to her pouring her anger all over the ancient thing. "Who are you?" She frowned as she gave him an overall look. |
Omgosh.... I'm sorry bout the super lateness!!! Sorry!!! Quote:
"We won the quidditch championship game, gobstones and the house cup last term" now only if they all regain their scores back and win it like they did last term. Lafay would be happy about that and yeah, Evelyn and Salander as well. Jonathan looked at her. Yeah, she is new. She asked quite too many questions. "Fifth year" and it's okay to ask. Jonathan doesn't bother much answering them. It's nice that he's just relaxing and talking right now. "How about you?" first year perhaps? Nah. Jonathan didn't see her get sorted at the feast. Second year? third? |
Quote:
"Wow," Nora muttered mostly to herself, but she was still looking at Jonathan. "It must have been a fun term." Definitely. Who wouldn't like winning, eh? And, unfortunately for him, this made her even more curious, if that was possible. "Do you play Quidditch or Gobstones?" This Gobstones game sounded interesting, but she probably won't play. As for Quidditch... it will be a miracle if she'll manage to hover above the ground a little. Ah, he was a fifth year. "Second," she grinned. Should she stop asking silly and annoying questions and leave him alone? Since he was so OLD. Mmmmhmm. Three years older meant totally old for her. Hehe. |

"I watched the quidditch games" does that count? he wasn't a player. He tried out but he didn't made the cut. Silly boy. He could have if he had just woke up early as he was told. Second year. So she was younger but not a first year though. "That's nice" he said. Yeah, second year was definitely something to enjoy about. But third year and fourth year was better for Jonathan. Fifth year was just scary, you know, OWLs and all that. |

Jordan stood a safe distance away from the Whomping Willow, gazing up at it. He was wondering how long it'd take for it to crush him. He felt like an idiot in the way he'd acted around Mickey, he really should've reacted a bit differently. He was actually his own worst enemy sometimes. |

The day had been long. Not really. Actually, it was really pretty short. Wake up, yaddah yaddah, eat, walk, and um, here I was! Look, I know you sense the impending enthusiasm that must be racking my innards (cough cough) but to tell you the truth, it was a pretty boring day as well. So far I uh...still didn't know anyone. It was quite unfortunate, really. Speaking of unfortunate facts. My music player ran out of charge and (unsurprisingly) there weren't any plugs in Hogwarts. I hadn't bumped into either of the two people I've met. I haven't met anyone knew. I lived in a stinky cellar. And was wearing green (ew). I was surrounded by Brits. And, most importantly, someone stole my coffee supply. So, overall, I was in a bit of tetchy mood. Tetchy or not tetchy, I plumped my bum down to a large and seemingly...aggressive tree, and started writing little sonnets about Cinderella, Ice-Men, Bunnies, and an aggressive tree named Jerry who wanted to be a cat. |
Quote:
Seeing as she had nothing better to do, Phoenix walked over and crouched down beside him. 'Mind if I join you?' she asked with a friendly smile. |
Quote:
The days at Hogwarts were long, depending on how you looked at them; wake up early, go to the Great Hall, don't get lost finding your classes, stay awake during class, and then wander aimlessly around the grounds or the castle until dark. She had mostly kept to herself the past few days. It's not that she was shy, but over the years, she just hadn't made many friends and she hadn't seen any of the ones she had. It gave her more time for classwork and scribbling in her journal. But no matter how her days went, the Whomping Willow was the one place she always found herself at this time of day. She tugged her bag on her shoulder, getting ready to toss it on the ground at her usual spot, when she looked up and saw...someone in her spot. Humph. This was not okay. She tossed her curls over her shoulder and began walking over to the spot, ready to demand they move, until she noticed who it was. A grin appeared across her entire face and her eyes lit up. "Sylvester?!" It took everything in her not to throw her arms around him right then. |
Quote:
WOAHWOAHWOAHWOAHWOAH. This was like, epic. Right as I got to the part where Cinderella rescues the little bunny from Jerry the aggressive tree, Cinderella actually shows up. It was like, woah. I jumped up. Too quickly. Ouch. Rockitty...Rockitty...Rockitty....blink blink blink. Eventually I regain my balance. Wow. That was embarrassing. "Cinderella!" I cry. "I mean...uh...Adelyn!" Note the sudden despair. Ug… “Er…do you mind if I call you Cinderella?” I stared down at my toes. “It’ll uh…make it easier? For me.” I was really, really awkward. So I changed the subject. I went back to WOAH mode. “Anyway, how are you?” I started grinning from ear to ear. I don’t know if it showed, but I was seriously stoked about seeing her. It had been DAYS since I’d been this happy. Well, days…how long had it been since I was last with her? |
Quote:
She giggled at his awkwardness, because in all honesty, nothing was cuter. At least, nothing was cuter until he called her Cinderella. Had he been calling her that in his head? For how long? He looked down at his toes. Oh no. She didn't want that. "Hey..." She said, tapping his chin, basically making him look at her with those eyes again. "You can call me whatever you'd like." Her cheeks burned pink. Shoot. She forgot how easily he did that to her. It definitely wasn't possible for her to grin any wider, but somehow she managed it. "I've been good. Much better now." Seriously, though; she'd been looking for him, not outwardly of course, but every time she turned a corner or went to the Great Hall or to a class, she constantly caught herself searching for those eyes of his. She bounced slightly on her toes, wanting nothing more than to hug him, but she refrained. "How are you?" |
Quote:
Now, I know that doesn't sound incredibly romantic in any way, but I gotta say, it was a nice tilt. I'm not sure how to put that, actually. Nice tilting? The tilt was pleasant? Or maybe I just enjoyed the skin to skin contact. Even if it was something small, like a head tilt, it sure did burn my cheeks red as a cherry on a summers day....Which would be kinda brown so cross that out. Like...like...like...the blush on her cheeks as well? I don't know why, but that made me smile. More, that is, than I already was. I proceeded to try to create metaphors for her blush...but...inevitably failed. Your blush is like...uh... Yeah. That' right. I didn't even think of one eensy weensy metaphor. Not one. Well there goes Sylvester the happy poet. Speaking of that, was I gonna tell her my name?.....Nah. Sylvester was a good name for me. Eh? Well. Maybe I'd tell her. If she asked. Nicely. With those eyes. Like the churning bucket of chocolate cream at Hershey's Park in the states. The same creamy texture of chocolate...but always changing. Always moving. Always becoming. What was it becoming? I don't know, exactly. Something better than it was before. "Really?" I quivered with excitement. "Awesome." I barely refrained from prancing around on my tippie toesies shouting Cinderella in the air. I'm sure she wouldn't have quite enjoyed the experience. "I'm...better." It was the truth. I was better. Now. I grinned. |
Quote:
He just kept looking at her, with those eyes, blushing like crazy. That's when it hit her again; was he ever going to tell her his real name? She thought about asking, but a part of her liked thinking of him as Sylvester. That is, until they figure out where this is going, then she'd want a real name. She blinked her eyes at him, sparkling slightly in the sun, thinking of just asking him now. "Yes, really." She grinned, "I like being Cinderella to you." The urge to wrapped her arms around him washed over her again, and she struggled to push it away. "That's good!" Still bouncing on her toes. This was embarrassing; was she twelve? "Let's sit." She tossed her bag behind her, leaving a space next to her for him to sit down. She looked up at him, grinning. |
Quote:
"You do?" She did! She did? Was that supposed to mean something cryptic? Like, I'm secretly telling you to bugger off. Hm...no. I didn't think so. Well, I sure didn't hope so. And since (in my world) the two went hand in hand, "I no think, I yes hope, I is right." Yup. That is how the world worked. Until I was proven wrong, that is. And...she was bouncing. Which was good, since I liked bouncing. Or at least, I liked to bounce so I could respect when others were bouncing. Ug. My mind works in interesting and complicated ways. Actually, it really doesn't work in any way. Hmm....contemplate. Meanwhile, she asked me to sit. Sit. What was sit, again? My brain was working worse than usual. For an unnoticable split second, I stared at her in dumbfounded awe. Like: Oh my god you're an angel. Whose really smart. And knows...a lot of stuff. Okay, maybe that wasn't the best analogy. But eventually I came to my senses. Sit. Right. Sit. I sat. And smiled. A lot. And thought. In really short sentences. Such as. "You're pretty..." and "I like your eyes..." and "Want some coffee?" Well. I don't know, but I wanted some coffee. As usual. But I didn't say any of these things. Instead, I said, "Urg..." It wasn't the best thing that had come out of my mouth. I had a particularly strong urge to put my arm around her, but of course, even in my numified state, I knew that would be incredibly stupid. |
Quote:
He just kept staring at her with those gorgeous eyes. It made the bouncing worse. They were only standing about a foot apart, she could hug him right now, bridging the gap. But she forced her feet onto the ground. Once she sat down and he was still standing, she stared up at him, in awe mostly. Her curls cascaded down her back as she looked up, the sun shining on her face. The Whomping Willow moved around in front of her, creating a slight breeze; she tried not to notice. Finally he sat down. She turned herself towards him so she could face him, and stare at those eyes. The scarlet was back in her cheeks. Urg? Did she do something wrong? She furrowed her brow. "What's on your mind?" |
Quote:
Okay. So I have a suspicion. Something...out there...was deliberately tormenting me. So I'm a fairly simple guy (achem. Yeah. Right). A simple guy with simple goals in life. You know, like, travel the world, act, become an academic, run a bookstore, excavate ancient sites, memorizing the history of mankind, becoming an expert in French wines (which I haven't tried yet, but I heard were pretty good), stuff like that. Simple enough. Oh, and find a nice girl. I guess. I suppose. It wasn't number one on my priorities...actually, it was. Sigh. Well then. Anyway, my point is that I was being tormented. Her wonderful curls sweeping down her back, the light shining through her, and on her, her chocolate eyes, her cute nose. I swear. TORMENT. It was pretty bad. Meanwhile, the time and place were perfect. Early fall, my favorite time of year. A gentile breeze that lifted your chest to sigh with the flow of the wind. The sky was adorned with a few clouds, but they were happy clouds. Big and puffy. Bunnie-esque. Her cheeks were scarlet, perfectly matching her hair. So was mine, but they happen to NOT match my hair. "My mind?" Er. Well, the answer was Her. Obviously. But I couldn't say that. "Er...nothing." I gotta do something better than that. "Well, my mouth really isn't cooperating with me today." I shrugged an apology and stared angrily down at my mouth, which must have been a sight to see. |
Quote:
It wasn't her fault. Sure, her life wasn't simple, it was anything but at times; however, she always considered herself as a person fairly simple. It didn't take much to make her happy, and really, she didn't ask for much. She liked flowers and music and the idea of traveling the world and books. Really, not complicated at all. And of course, like any other girl, she wanted to find that one boy. The one her dad promised would find her, when she was a kid, but then again, at that time, he promised her a prince. Obviously, she wasn't looking for that anymore, but she'd like a boy. Maybe. She looked away briefly, to stare up at the sky. It was early fall, her favorite time of year. The breeze was gentle, the clouds were lovely, everything about it was perfect. Except that he was sitting simply too far away. Nothing? He had to be lying. His mouth never seemed to cooperate with him. She watched him closely, as he shrugged and glared at himself. She giggled. "That's all? Come on, just tell me what you're thinking." Adelyn said, smiling and batting her eyes at him. "Please?" |
Quote:
All the reasons have been previously said, but even without the reasons, it was a perfect day. I don't know why that makes sense. It wasn't a perfect day before I saw Cinderella again. It was a pretty drab day. But now, the whole day seemed perfect. I remember waking up this morning to a cheerful dorm. Leaving the dorm, I noticed a dazzling sunrise. Why hadn't I been astounded by the sunrise then? I had a mightily fulfilling breakfast filled with multiple American treats that I could nosh on. Why didn't I appreciate that? I skipped classes and had a pristine walk on the grounds. I walked in peace but didn't notice that it was peaceful. And now I was here. With Cinderella. It was a perfect day. She asked me what I was thinking. Which was an interesting question. I was thinking about the sky, the tree, the breeze, the breakfast, the day. I was thinking about her, too. Should I lie? I was fairly good at lying. But...I didn't want to lie to her. Especially not here. Not now. Maybe I could tell the truth. Maybe she wouldn't get upset. "I'm thinking about you." I said, as I cocked my head to the side. I didn't think it would ruin the moment; like it did last time. Rather, I thought, maybe it would make it better. |

The sun was shining, there were birds in the sky, a breeze that wasn't too cool, and there was him. If everything else in the world was perfect, there wasn't a word on this planet that could describe him. Words rushed through her head, but none of them fit him. None of them were good enough, meant enough, said enough. They would have to make a new word for him, and even then, it wouldn't be enough. It was perfect. She tilted her head to the side, letting her curls fall, waiting for him to answer. Part of her wanted to know what he was thinking, right now and all the time, but another part of her was only asking to see if he'd tell her the truth. It needed to be the truth. Finally he spoke. "Really?" She whispered, giving him a soft smile. At this moment, nothing could be more perfect, except filling this gap between them. |
Quote:
"Yeah." I said. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Really." I don't know what made me say it, but I'm glad I did. I'm glad that she was glad I did. Because apparently, she was glad I did. According to her smile, anyway. And I meant it too, which was usually a first. I tended to be more honest when I was around Cinderella. Maybe she was charmed somehow? I don't think she was charmed, but she sure was charming. And by the way, don't the TET (The eternal tormentor) had given up. She still had those curls. She still had those eyes. She had that...her. I blinked several times to make sure. No, King Tet was still doing his job. Suddenly I noticed we were both half leaning on the ground, tilting our heads. It was like we both saw the world the same way, but a different way from everyone else. I don't know why the metaphor was significant, but it was. I leaned in a little. Not to kiss her, I said to myself. Not yet. No, I just wanted to breathe her. To be with her. Hell, I know its cheesy, but actors usually are. |
Quote:
She didn't know what to say, though, now that she knew he was telling her the truth. No one made him tell her that, he could have easily lied, but he didn't. She just smiled at him, like a charmed idiot. Yes, he was charming. Of course he was. She still couldn't escape those eyes of his. They were taunting; she just wanted him to stare at her like that all day. Glancing at him, taking note of everything he did; the way he leaned towards her, the way they both tilted their heads, the way they saw the world the same way. He leaned closer towards her. She shifted her body weight, moving herself closer to him in the least subtle manner possible. Adelyn had never been good at subtlety. |

"I'll take that as a no," Nora said, grinning. Of course, she wasn't the right one to judge (not that she wanted to), since she was afraid to even touch a broomstick. She was so terrified at the idea of flying lessons, but she also wanted to attend. And, you know, if she'd have pretty wings like a hippogriff or a butterfly, that was something completely different. But on a broomstick... ... better not. And... was it nice, being a second year? Hmmm. "I don't really like it. Being..." Being what? "... tiny." That's right. She wanted to know more and be more advanced than she was for her age. |
Quote:
"The world was created so that everyone could live together, although as history has shown, some people grew power-hungry and perverted that idea. If the world was centered around me we would all be in big trouble," she said slightly giggling at the thought. "You do care about a lot of people, especially me," she said winking. "You were there for Louise at the hospital comforting her, she must have really appreciated that. Hmm, where do you suppose she could be?" She pulled out an item from her pocket, "...and speaking of caring. I have something for you." and teased him with a smile. |

Well, she was actually sight-seeing Hogwarts so she could use someone to give a tour around the grounds. "So... if you aren't doing anything right now, maybe you could give me a tour around the school grounds," she said biting her tongue hoping she'll say yes. It would be a lot better touring with someone rather than with no one, right? |

On the other side it told the time and date and on the bottom it said Yours truly Wisteria xo. She hoped he liked it. |

But this was just, different. I don't know how to describe it. Actually, I don't know if you could describe it. It wasn't just there. It was really, really there. I don't know if that makes sense. Most of the stuff I say usually doesn't. Suddenly, without me controlling it or anything, we were really awfully close. I blushed. A little. Not extremely. I mean, I don't know about Cinderella, but sure as heck wasn't uncomfortable. I mean, I was kinda in a weird position...but I didn't notice it. When we were this close I could breathe her in better. Look, I know it sounds weird, but I already told you I didn't know the words to describe it. I tried. |
Quote:
Something was just there between them. Something that she couldn't exactly name. It was just there. She was suddenly aware that he noticed their closeness. Her cheeks turned pink again, but she didn't mind. She wanted to be this close. Actually, she wanted to be closer, but she wasn't going to push it. Where they were was comfortable. Sure, her legs were tucked under her in an awkward position, but it didn't matter. Right now, all that mattered was how close they were sitting. She ran her fingers through her hair, tilting her face towards his. She studied his expression, his body language, and his robes. Green. "So, Slytherin, huh?" |
Quote:
I suddenly noticed I was actually pretty uncomfortable siting like that so I sat back up again. "Yeah." So here we were. "Stinky Resort Number One. Woopee." I swear. The sarcasm on my voice must have been palpable. "It's been a real trip" And I meant it. I mean, Slytherin? Where all the evil kids and psycho's got to? And I was supposed to SLEEP in the SAME ROOM as them? Some one was playing a really big, nasty joke on me and it was really getting annoying. King Tet, probably. "I mean, if the symbol was like bunny or something, I could cope. But snakes..." I shivered. Need I say further. Needless to say, I thought I was living in a Psycho ward. Yay... |
Quote:
He moved back, too, so now they were back to being far away. This time she frowned slightly. "So, you don't like Slytherin?" She asked, taking the opportunity to re-fold her legs into a more comfortable position. She had taken her robes off before walking down to the tree, so now she was wearing shorts and a cardigan. It was problem the last time she'd be able to wear shorts, because autumn was quickly approaching. He didn't belong in Slytherin. Slytherins were...not like him. Given, she didn't know many Slytherins, but she knew he didn't belong in that house. "You should've been in my house..." Adelyn shrugged. She would've liked that, more than she'll let on. "Our symbol is a lion." Oh. Speaking of being a Gryffindor...and wanting to lighten the mood... "Slytherin and Gryffindor friendships used to be frowned upon. Really frowned upon." She said, smirking slightly. Her father used to tell her all about it. "Lucky, it isn't so much anymore." Now she really grinned. "But even if it was, I'd still be your friend...because forbidden is fun." She said it quietly, close to a whisper, the corner of her lips curling into a mischievous smile. |
Quote:
"No. Not at all. I feel like I'm sleeping with a bunch of creeps." Yeah. "It's really disturbing." I then noticed that it had been I that had moved away from our little posture goin' on. I felt guilty. I looked longingly at the spot I had just unconsciously moved away from. "Hey uh...so what ARE the characteristics of a Slytherin?" I mean, if I was gonna be stuck with these guys, I better know what their symptom was. And why the Old British Hat thought I fit with them. "I'd like that too" I grinned. By by for the grimace! For now. "Gryffindor. Wouldn't that be, like a...Griffin?" Life made no sense in the obscene world of the British Isles. Wait. Wait. Forbidden? I was good at forbidden. Naw, I was like, SUPER at forbidden. Okay, maybe not super. Or really, I wasn't good. I just kinda...ended up in a position...where I wasn't supposed to be...and I was always able to get out of it. My friends were always jealous of my natural ability to slither out of trouble. ....Slither. Snake. Ew. Wait....were these British Snakes brainwashing me?!?!?! Cause, if they were, that would be like...super bad. Like. Superbad. It was pretty bad. Okayokay. Now I'm rambling. Sorry. It's how my brain works...you gotta forgive me. Anyway, back to the point. Forbidden and I got along. "Wellll....it just so happens I like forbidden..." I answered her mischievous grin with one of my own. You know? This was a whole 'nother side of her. And I liked it. |
Quote:
"The characteristics? Hm. Generally, it's said they're ambitious and cunning. But they're also strong leaders, clever, and determined." The way it came out made them sound so much better than the stories she'd been told, but she didn't say that. "Really, it's just what you make of it, I suppose. It's just a house...it doesn't really determine exactly who you are. Not all Slytherins are as evil as I'm told, I assume; you're not like that, I mean." She was definitely making things worse; she looked down at her hands, embarrassed. Then she heard the grin in his voice. Yes, she actually heard it. Looking up, she couldn't help but grin back at him. Then she laughed. "No, no, not like a Griffin. Um." How did she explain it? "The four houses were named after the four founders. Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, Helga Hufflepuff, and Rowena Ravenclaw. Each is represented by a certain animal, as I am sure you've noticed." It felt weird explaining something that she was basically born knowing. He was lost in thought, clearly. She stared at him, trying to figure out what he was thinking again; she didn't want to ask. "Oh, you like forbidden, do you?" She replied, half sarcastic half serious. Really, it was that look that got to her. She kept the mischievous grin on her face, not ready to give in yet. She liked where this was going a little too much. |

Well, I knew all about stories. I’m an actor after all, eh? They’re not always true. On the other hand…all the information I had about the Stinky Resort was also through stories. So…yeah. I’m a hypocrite. Sue me. On the third hand (and yes, there is a third hand) I didn’t really care if they were stories or not. If Cinderella believed it then DUH. It must be true. Hmph. And then. And then. And then she went ahead to describe the qualities of a classical Slytherin. Surprisingly, I didn’t hear ‘evil’, or ‘twisted’, or ‘freakish’. No. I heard ambitious and cunning. I heard strong leader, clever, and determined. All of which, incidentally, were qualities of which I associated myself. They were the qualities I was praised for. Cunning? Clever? Determined? These were the reports my parents got on the notes home about me. Acting scouts had come and loved me just because of my bounding ambition. And they hired me! Even when I didn’t have a particularly good audition. So…what was this supposed to mean? Did any of those things tie into evil? Or twisted? Was I evil? Cough Cough. Yeah right. If there’s one thing I am, it’s not evil. I fight for human and animal rights, soo….yeah. That means I’m not evil. At least not by my definition. But then again, none of the evil people in history thought they were being evil…Okay. I’m dropping it. I’m not evil. At least that’s what I’d like to think. Anyway, I’m rambling again. In my head. Which makes no sense. And then she said that I wasn’t evil. Which, given my thoughts at that current moment, meant more to me than she probably intended. Unconsciously, I scooted a little closer to her. And then she grinned back at me. Sigh. What a perfect day. I scooted another inch in her direction. “So…four houses, four people. Seems simple enough.” I thought for a moment then let out a short bark of laughter. “Let me guess.” I said. “Back, back when; Mr. Slytherin and Mr. Gryffindor got into a fight. And ever since the houses have disliked each other?” It sounded funny, and amusing. Like something you would find written in a fairy tale. “Oh yes…indeed.” Perhaps I looked a little more mischievous than I thought I was. “Know any…” I paused for the effect. “Forbidden things around here I should know about?” |
Quote:
But she couldn't change that; the Sorting Hat decided where everyone goes, and usually, he's always right. He knows more about every person than the person himself, so obviously the Sorting Hat had a reason to put Sylvester in Slytherin. Adelyn just couldn't help but wonder why. The stories. There were always stories, and maybe it was because of the notorious old-fashion rivalry between the two houses, but she had always believed them to be true. She had generally seen most Slytherins the same way. Selfish, arrogant, twisted. But stories could be wrong, right? Not everyone in Slytherin was like that, right? All those years, she'd believed her father's stories, because everything he had told her was supposed to be true, but could he have been wrong? Could he have been biased because he had been a Gryffindor, too? She hated thinking her dad was wrong, but what if? Or maybe things had just changed. Clearly, not all Slytherins were evil. Some of them were incredibly nice. And had beautiful eyes. And made her laugh. And. Okay. Off topic. She shook her head, mostly to herself, to get the thoughts out of her head, but it sent her curls flying slightly. Then she looked over at him again, unconsciously moving over just a tiny bit towards him. She grinned at him. And moved over another inch closer to him. "As cliche as that sounds, yes; that's pretty close to what happened." She stated, matter-of-factly. Again, it was weird explaining something that most Hogwarts student had known for their entire lives, if they were from wizarding descent. "Back when Hogwarts was founded and for hundreds years, Slytherin was the house where all the purebloods went; those select few students whose family trees were only magical. Slytherin had wanted to make Hogwarts only opened to those whose blood was pure, but Gryffindor didn't agree and the other two founders sided with Gryffindor, too. In the end, Gryffindor and Slytherin had a severe falling out, and ever since then, the rivalry stayed." It sounded standard, like a children's story, but really, it made all the difference. If Slytherin had gotten his way, many current and past Hogwarts students wouldn't have been able to attend, including herself. Now she giggled, letting the mischievous look falter slightly, but then gathering it back again. She had let a few strands of hair fall into her eyes, adding a little extra effect to whatever look she was going for right now. "Well, for starters, this friendship. Completely and totally forbidden." The grin extra mischievous now. "But don't let that stop you; like I said, forbidden makes it fun." She looked up at him with her chocolate eyes, through her auburn curls, sparkling mysteriously. "There's also the forest, don't go there. Oh, and don't wander the corridors at night. Ever." |

“Wait. It is?” I had been meaning that as a joke, not anything serious. So the original Slytherin WAS evil and twisted. So I wasn’t crazy. “Gosh…he was a really evil man, wasn’t he?” I really didn’t like discrimination. I mean, no one did. But somehow, I noticed it in people more than others did. Out of anyone I knew, it would be me that noticed if some guy was picking on this guy or that guy based on any reason. And I knew that in Europe the difference between Solid bloods (or Pure bloods, as they said here) and Muggle born was much greater than it was at home. This was really what happened? Woah…This was like, totally story worthy. Superduper story worthy. Play worthy? Yes. “So um…are there…you know…” I scratched the back of my head. “Any plays written about such story?” Cause I mean, I could get famous. Like, you know, big time. But lets forget all that. Something much more important had arisen to my attention. We were both a lot closer together than we were before. It looked as if I had scooted towards her…and, to my glee, she had scooted over to me. This was, by far, much more important than any old British Wizarding fairy tale, even if it was true. In the past, that is to say a few days previously at Florean’s (heh), Cinderella had seemed like a perfect girl. The girl who could do everything. However, she now evidently had a different side as well. And I like it. A lot. She even had the whole mischievous grin and hair style pretty much nailed without really trying. And let me tell you one thing: That girl looked Fine. Well, that’s what some people would say. I would say she just happened to seem irresistibly cute, especially like this. Somehow she had gotten her whole persona into a little trouble maker. Somehow even her creamy chocolate eyes and precious auburn curls were suddenly glinting with a hard, bright (and awesome) glare of mischievousness. “We’re forbidden, eh? Well I guess that just means I must hold on to you for as long as possible.” And I did. I didn’t even register the many ways that sentences could be interpreted. “Never? Neverever? What if…you know. I wanna see a friend. At night.” I grinned. |

It was strange, explaining something as important as this to someone; most of the students knew it. It was second nature to everyone by now, at least for the ones who had magic in their blood somehow, and those that didn't usually read about it before coming here. It was history. She hadn't realized that he might not have had to deal with all of this back in America. "A play? There might be. I know there are books, because things like this basically shaped our culture here. But I'm not sure about a play." Even if she was a little theatre geek, she had never come across a play about her history. She glanced out of the corner of her eye, taking note of their sudden closeness. They had both moved towards each other, and the space between them was down to mere inches. She couldn't help but smile happily, a light pink heat filling her cheeks. Every other thought left her head, their closeness was all she could focus on. There was just something about right now, this moment, who they were. Back at Florean's when they had first met, there was something about him there, but it wasn't like right now. There he had been charming, perfection, everything a girl could have wanted and more. But here...this was new. He was mysterious and wonderful and alluring. He was a whole new definition of the word trouble; even his eyes seemed to dance with mischief as they stared at hers. "We're absolutely forbidden." She said softly with a devilish grin. "I guess we'll just have to hold on to each other. For as long as possible." And in that moment, it's all she wanted; for him to hold her and not have to let go. "If you got caught, you might get expelled, and I don't want to risk that. Even if it was really important. At night." |

So here we were. Sylvester and Cinderella. Placed on opposite sides of a scale. However, here we were, and we were talking. And enjoying it. At least, I was enjoying it. I was enjoying our conversation very much. I inwardly grinned (which is difficult but possible). This time, both of us were in fairly comfortable positions, since we were sitting up instead of half sideways. I couldn’t help thinking some of the cheesier of my stories. Of the flamboyant songs that made you want to dance and jump around. I felt that, somewhere, someone was playing that really cheesy dance music and I? I really wanted to just jump around. With Cinderella. Of course, I also wanted coffee, and I’m sure that had nothing to do with music. I was a little peachy. And she was a little pinky. As in, we were both blushing a little. I’m not sure why. I wasn’t really embarrassed. WAIT. Does blushing come as a result of happiness? I suppose so…Hm. This was food for thought. “As long as possible.” I repeated. I smiled larger. If that was possible. “Of course…what if I didn’t get caught? At night.” I raised an eyebrow mischievously. |

She wanted to sing and jump. Just being with him made her want to do that. She might be a theatre kid, but usually, she kept to herself, not drawing attention. But he made her want to jump and just scream. Because she was happy and invincible with him. His cheeks were tinted with a color, too; not exactly matching her ever-scarlet cheeks, but blushed nonetheless. She wasn't embarrassed, and she hoped he wasn't either? What was it then? Just plain joy. Could you blush from that? "As long as possible..." She couldn't help but say it again, grinning. It made it more real. Because it was real. And it wasn't like saying forever. She hated when people said forever; because forever is a long time and you can't promise forever. "I suppose if you didn't get caught, then maybe. Maybe you could go see a friend. At night." The mischievousness was in her voice and smile. |

We must have continued to move closer…or perhaps we just lean in a little. And of course it was then King Tet decided to interfere. She was right next to me. RIGHT next to me. Her hand was just sitting on her knee. Just sitting there. Her shoulders seemed to have been molded for someone to wrap their arm around them. I wanted to put my arm around her and jump up at the same time. I wanted to sing and dance with her (though she would have to do the singing. I sure couldn’t). This was real. It was nice, and cozy. The coziest thing in all of Britain, as far as I was concerned. It was nice, cozy, and Cinderella. Which was, in this case, an adjective. I wanted to be a Gryffindor just so I could see her every night. I sighed. But it was a happy sigh. “At night. As long as possible. A friend.” I tilted my head and grinned. “Sounds fun.” |
Quote:
She wanted him to take her hand, and spin her around. She wanted to sing because he made her happy. Happy wasn't even the word to describe what he made her. He made her above and beyond happy. This was perfect. She glanced over at him, trying not to let him see. She wanted to rest her head on his shoulder, and breathe him in. But she wouldn't. She sighed. Content. "As long as possible. At night. Friends." She repeated back, staring into his eyes. She tilted her head towards him, smiling. "Sounds...perfect." |
Quote:
"Friends. Perfect." I repeated as I smiled merrily down to her. I couldn't help think to myself that I wasn't...doing anything. And I should. I mean, obviously. I should be taking the initiative. For what? Well...I'm not really sure. But I shouldda. As I looked into her eyes (her wonderful chocolate eyes, may I add) I thought of all the girls at home. They were...so petty. So insignificant compared to Cinderella. Some were shallow, some were not, most were petty. They had very small worlds, not many could see the big picture, like I could. But Cinderella could see the bigger picture. She wasn't petty at all. Or at least that's what I thought. And I'm nearly never wrong. But...I still should be taking initiative. Basically, I'm just sitting around trying to think of something besides doing something. It was...disturbing. Mostly because I wanted to take initiative but I wasn't and...ugh. My head confuses me. Almost without think, I let my hand drift to my knee, to the point where our pinky fingers were practically touching. |

Looking into those eyes, nothing else seemed to matter. Those few boys in the muggle world that she had something with, or had wanted something with, they seemed insignificant. Stepping stones on the way to getting to him. Only focused on one thing. But Sylvester...he was different. He clearly cared more and saw more than just his own world, the way she did. He saw something bigger, or at least that's what she thought he saw. She thought about making the first move. Doing something. Anything. Moving her hand over just slightly, resting her head on his shoulder, pretending to be cold so he'd maybe put his arm around her. Things that always seemed to work for the girls in the muggle world. But she wasn't like them. She didn't want to scare him off. So, she sat there, still staring at those eyes. Sigh. At nearly the exact same time, without thinking, she moved her hand ever so slightly. Not noticing he had done the same thing. Their pinky fingers were touching, just barely, and the very contact sent chills up her spine and a pink color into her cheeks. |
Ryan slowly walked to the tree that could cause alot of havoc. He didn't want to get to close so he kept his distance. He decided it was best to head back up and go to the library |
Rose walked to the Whomping Willow, happiness gushing out of her. SHE HAD TO TELL RONNIE! RONNIE'D BE SO HAPPY! EEP! |

"Yeah they are! I just love it, I can't wait to meet her!" Ronnie said excitedly after Rose had read the letter. "Yes. Let's ignore him for not sending a photo!" Ronnie said nodding her head. |
William is very sad. He wonders if he should let the Whomping Willow hit him. |

She walked up next to him and smiled. "Hey, I couldn't help but notice you didn't look to happy...is there something wrong?" she asked. |

"I am just a first year and you expect me to now how to be invisible ? Oh, how I wish !" That was right. How she wish she can be invisible. That would a very great thing to happen. Yeah. She brought out her wand and started her odd mannerism when she was not too comfortable. Tapping it on her palm. |

At this point I realized I was just a bit lazy. Or scared. Or…something, I dunno. I wanted to say something, to do something. But it just wasn’t…I don’t know. I’ve done it plenty of times before. Meet a pretty girl during rehearsal, invite for coffee after school. It was as simple as that. However, this wasn’t so simple. One, she didn’t drink coffee. And two, well, it just didn’t seem right. I don’t know why. I felt like I should…do something fantastic, wonderful, and bizarre. But…I had no idea what that was. Or how I could feasibly pull it off. And then I looked back into her. Into her eyes, her nose, her lips, her cheeks, her hair. I let it all in. I sighed. It was a very Un-“Ew. Brits. Sigh” type of sigh. More like a “This-Is-Awesome” type of sigh. I guess. I remembered what had happened last time and I didn’t want that to happen again. But…this time felt different. Maybe I should take it slower though, just in case. Our pinkies touched, making me shiver just a little. Almost like when you touch an electric fence. A nice electric fence. A pretty electric fence. …Okay, toss that. An electric shoe. Ha! Get it? Electric shoe? Cinderella! I grinned at my pun a chuckled a bit. And moved my hand over another half an inch. |

He was sitting so close; she could easily make the first move, make something happen between them, or at least take a step in the right direction, so he could finish it. But this, it wasn't like other relationships. It wasn't easy to navigate or plan. She couldn't just take one step in a certain direction and end up in the right spot...with him, she could end up somewhere entirely different than planned. She had looked away from him, briefly, without realizing, and was simply staring at their pinky fingers, just barely touching. When she looked back up at him, he was looking at her. She gave him a soft smile, noticing him noticing her. She wanted to memorize every piece of him; his eyes, his lips, his nose, every hair on his head. Everything. She sighed, content. The feeling that went through her from his slightest touch was electrifying. It was like getting hit with a stunning spell, but it was a good kind of stun. She didn't even know how to describe it. She could feel him move his pinky over ever so slightly, but that faint touch still wasn't enough for her. She felt selfish, but that little touch just made her want more. But she didn't want to ruin this moment. Then again...this wasn't like the last time. Something was different about it. Adelyn grinned at him, and moved her pinky, locking it with his; like a muggle pinky-swear. Then she looked at him with her bright brown eyes, almost asking if it was alright. |

Isobel needed a quiet place where she could sit and practice the Transfiguration spells. She had her small purple notebook in her hand with a pen in the spiraly wire that bound it together. She opened the notebook and flipped to a page titled; Transfiguration. She saw the notes that she had written last night; Quote:

It was a magical moment. My arm hair stood up in pure giddiness. I felt like doing something reckless, something extreme. I didn’t know what, though. And we were really quiet. So we just sat that and slowly, slowly I started laughing. It started out as a low chuckle, then a hearty laugh. I’m not sure what exactly was funny. Actually, I don’t think that was the point. It was a happiness laugh. For a moment I paused, cause that sounded really weird. And then I realized that most of the things I was thinking would usually be considered pretty weird. I hiccupped. I looked back into her wonderful chocolate eyes, twinkling back at me like little suns in the darkness of life. Wow, that sounded poetic. I smiled at her, still thinking of something spectacular. Something amazing. Something exciting. I moved my hand across hers another inch. |
