Sarani was born to a wandmaking family, in October 2047. Her mother divorced her father a few months later (“He didn’t like shopping anymore! Can you believe that?”) and Sarani was brought up by California Zircon, her father’s very young and very vibrant second wife (Sarani’s father was her third husband but, for some reason Sarani never understood, the relationship lasted). California loved two things: cats and dance. Sarani was enrolled in Mrs. Thea’s Splendid School of Dance and Music as soon as she could walk, and received at least one cat for each birthday, until she let them all loose in California's bedroom one day.

While her father had never been interested in the infamous family business – wandmaking – being a Zircon meant knowing about wands, and he encouraged Sarani to learn from his brother. By the time she was thirteen, she could identify all basic wand types. Which, she decided, was useful but boring. She wanted excitement. She wanted a challenge. She wanted to make herself a wand. She attempted that two years later, on her own and without any supervision whatsoever. It wasn’t the brightest idea, and left her with a scar and singed hair.

She first saw Orson Black at one of her mother’s parties, a few weeks before her nineteenth birthday. He was thirty-five, he was walking, talking charisma, and he didn’t look like the sort of man who had time to waste at California’s balls. She was intrigued and, on learning that he specialized in poisons, sought him ought. He agreed to take her on as a student and, almost until the end of her stint at the Zürich University of Defensive Arts, Sarani juggled uni and her new apprenticeship. She was enthralled by Toxicology, which became a passion. She and Orson got together a few weeks after her twentieth birthday, but things turned sour after he found out she was obtaining ingredients via the gray market. He'd never been on the right side of the law himself, but he did not like the idea of her doing the same. Their relationship grew strained, ending when Sarani told him she was done with working under - or with - him.

Sarani offered her services to the Ministry of Magic. Her research on and knowledge of poisons and antidotes was useful, and she became an undercover agent for the Swiss Clandestine Services. Part of the work involved further and strenuous training, but she was fine with that. Things would have been alright if the bosses hadn't had the bright idea that, with her training, she would make an excellent auror, so why waste all that talent? The truth was that there had been a mass resign of aurors over Ministry policy, and they needed more personnel. Sarani was transferred, her first assignment being very low-key, a guy called Zen Whitcomb, a "former dark artiste" who had "turned over a new leaf," but couldn't quite give up the old ways, since he had been caught settling muggles objects that tended to turn into chickens. The task was simple to the point of being boring. She tracked down the guy... and ran off with him (He was handsome. It was instant chemistry). While on the run, she learned about vampire hunters, people who tackled rogue vampires - vampires who left their colonies to attack towns and kill humans. She knew at once that she wanted to be one. She hauled Zen off to the Ministry of Magic, and turned him in. (It wasn't like he was going to be sent to prison. Well, at least not for more than one or two months. He hadn't hurt anyone. Just given the obliviators more to do.) The agencies weren't impressed by her five months' absence, or her line of reasoning that she had reformed Zen, since he hadn't sold anything that turned into a chicken, in the past five months. But she had plenty of dirt on the Ministry, and the matter was hushed up. She and the agencies came to a mutual agreement: they'd leave each other alone.

Her parents were furious but, knowing they would come around eventually, she left Switzerland to meet one of Zen's friends, a vampire hunter. She learned the tricks of the trade. It was a dangerous job, which meant Sarani loved it. Things took an unexpected turn when she got into a bit of trouble last year, which Orson agreed to bail her out of on one term: she would repay him. Sarani knew it wasn’t a good idea, but she didn’t have a whole lot of other options at the time and agreed. Last month, she received an envelope from him – the only contact they’d had since – that contained a cut-out advertisement: the post of DADA professor at Hogwarts was vacant. Sarani wasn’t one to turn back on her word, and she applied. She still doesn’t know the why of the letter but, knowing Orson, she’s sure it’s more than just wanting to get back at her for walking out on him.

Whoever thought that Slytherins were cold, snobbish, stuck up purebloods were wrong. Dead wrong. Selena is one of the jumpiest Slytherins you’ll ever have the pleasure of meeting. Her sugar frenzies might get quite tiring to some, but the world always seems happier through the eyes of a hyper person’s. It is quite odd seeing as her family is the complete opposite. Plus, most kids with divorced parents are depressed. She’s the opposite of depressed. But let’s start from the very beginning.

Aurora Black, her mother, and Matthew Zabini, her father, married thinking they would have the perfect life. The two were Hogwart sweethearts and their parents endorsed this relationship. So, naturally, the two married each other. However, Aurora decided to become a socialite while Matthew decided to take up the family business, dealing with the Zabini Enterprises and other companies. When Matthew had too much work, Aurora would complain. Matthew found this quite ridiculous because it wasn’t like Aurora did much work besides party planning anyways.

When Selena was at age seven the two divorced after two years of fighting. She had always leant more towards her father’s side but she knew that her father would be too busy to take care of her. Her mother then gained custody of the purple-eyed girl.

Aurora remarried to Alex Riddle and is now content though she is often shopping rather than being the motherly figure Selena always needed. Selena hated this and the fact that she had lost her old family. She grew quite a hatred for her family at this point. Selena got stuck with her stepfather's last name as well, though she doesn't want it. Over the holidays she rarely sees anyone, only sees them all during Christmas time. Selena's parents and stepfather are rarely ever there for her, but are a bit over protective so Selena hasn't been able to do many things. Selena thinks it’s a bit pointless because if she were to disappear for a few days, they wouldn’t notice.

Selena always needed the motherly attention every child needed. She didn’t get any from her mother. Selena grew up thinking she was full of flaws, her mother made sure of that. Aurora always corrected and scolded the girl, but now she knows better. Even if her mother hates her, even if her stepfather is never there, even if her father doesn’t bother to owl back, she knows now that she’s special and her mother was a fool for not realizing it.

And now, Selena's a bit strange, not really normal. At first she may come off a bit shy but once you get to know her she never shuts up. Selena's highly misunderstood at times, she's not exactly bad just because she's in Slytherin. Selena's actually quite nice. Selena hates to see people down... She has many secrets but she doesn't tell them to anyone out of fear of being judged and the feeling that she is being a bit of a hindrance. A Some people may think she's a depressed girl, but she's not... She loves to smile, laugh, and just try to be herself despite all the lies the world has to offer.

Her Hogwarts Story
First Year;; This year definitely disappeared in a blink of an eye. Friends came and left, walking in and out of her life. This year was the first year of Selena's life where she felt truly happy, meeting most of her friends. Her first year was definitely a time of discovery where the sugar crazed girl realized she was more that just crazy in love with the sugar, but completely addicted to it as well. In that year she's watched her friends' hearts break, wrote in her diary and of course, jumped off the Giant Treehouse with her two bestest friends in the world - Emma and Maddie. During this time she also met Diggy Greenwood, a fifth year Slytherin, and fell in love with him, or well, she liked him an awful lot. :loved: She also gained another great friend, Alexandrie, however, their friendship seemed to have failed after a few incidents that she doesn't want to mention. Leaving her first year behind, taking with her the sweet memories, the purple-eyed Slytherin was off for her second year.

Second Year;; Selena wasn't really sure what happened in her second year. She found out she had a sister, oh yes, that had been some big and terrible news. And to make matters worse, her bestie Madeline "Maddie" Amelie Force-Trinity, left Hogwarts because her terrible mother made her. However, with each cloud there's always a silver lining. Though Selena cannot tolerate her family members, there was an exception to that, namely, Lily-Rose Riddle. Lily-Rose then arrived in Hogwarts, making Sel laugh even when she was feeling a bit bummed out. And oh the drama! The death of a student and a crazy hyper Emma Malfoy! Well, year two's over and Selena left with a smile. After all, after the triwizard tournament, Diggy had given her a promise ring. Given her mother was completely furious cutting off all contact with her friends over the summer, but she was alright because she had found someone who made her life feel complete.

Third Year;; Would it sound weird if Selena said she didn't remember what happened in her third year? She remembers moping about having to leave, she remembers her friends and hanging out, but really... nothing in particular. :mellow:

Lorelai was born into a farily wealthy family. With her father, David-Alexander working in the Ministry and her mother, Jamie being a struggling singer, she doesn't really have a sense of belief in her family. She is extremely close to her older sister, Alicia. Whilst her second oldest sister, Kady, is kind of considered the outcast of the family. Lorelai was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire where she was raised until she turned 9. On her ninth birthday, her family was moved to Camden, London.

Lorelai is also very close to her grandparents. Being the favourite child to both her parents' parents, she is kind of spoilt when she sees them making her sister's jealous of her. This is sometimes the cause for them to drift apart. However, Lorelai tries her best to avoid being spoilt in front of her sisters, and sometimes the rest of the family.

With her family being a very closed family, Lorelai doesn't really have anyone she can open up to. With her granparents not living close by, it is very rare that she actually gets a chance to see them thus making her bottle her emotions up. She has often been the witness to countless disagreements between her parents. Often over their different career goals. With her mother not fully understanding the Wizarding World and her father not being very interested in the Muggle World, this usually causes an issue between the two leaving the three children torn between the two. It is often left to Lorelai to pick up the pieces after each argument.

Due to her middle sister, Kady being the outcast, this also causes many riffs between the siblings. Lorelai doesn't intend on upsetting anyone, however, sometimes she does find it difficult to hold her anger in. Mostly, she throws it out at her bickering parents.

Being a spoilt brat at the best of times and sometimes a tad intimidating, Lorelai has learnt to use this to her advantage. Sometime's manipulative but always entertaining, she has an extremely mean streak in her. However, she can be a fairly nice young lady. With most of her friends, it has taken them years to get beneath the surface. Even her family sometimes dont fully understand her. Knowing she can change her ways is one thing but having the motivation to do so is another story all together. Still unable to control her emotions and most of the time, her anger, Lorelai has a lot of things bottled up inside. Very few people have been able to get inside her head and no one has been able to understand her as of yet.

Despite the hard shell she has created, underneath it all, there is a sweet and innocent young lady just screaming to get out. However, this is someone that Lorelai finds difficult to cope with. Having grown up having to fight her own corner, she very rarely lets her guard down. When she does let it down, she often finds herself putting it right back up again through fear of feeling and being seen as weak. She does, however, know that some people are likely to understand her should she open up to her. She just finds it difficult to let people see the real her shine through.

Lorelai is usually a very bubbly and outgoing lass but she has also been known to change her mood almost instantly. Almost all of her friends have seen both sides of the Yorkshire lass. Some people prefer one side better than other.

She is someone who is very open minded. She is open to suggestions(provided these suggestions don't involve her getting her hands dirty), however, she draws the line at stepping down from her 'title'. Lorelai has been known to break into song. She has an incredily voice and aspires to become a professional singer though she can't see this happening any time soon after seeing her mother try and fail(and often being named the cause of her mothers mistakes and failures)

APPEARANCE
+Hair: Long, dark brown, and slightly curly, just like her mother and older sister.

+Build: Sierra has a small build, but she's actually a little taller than the average height for her age. As a matter of fact, her mother is only about an inch or two taller than she is. She seems to be taking after her father when it comes to height.

+General appearance: Save for her extra big eyes (her best feature, she'll say), Sierra's appearance is an even reflection of both her father and her mother. With her long, dark brown, naturally curly hair, it's not difficult to tell that she could be a thirteen-year-old version of Bella Montez and Anna Greingoth-Newell. Sierra even (luckily, she'll say) inherited her mother's naturally tan skin, a trait reflective of the Montez's Puerto Rican roots. Despite how much she closely resembles the appearance of her mother and older sister, though, Sierra is extremely different, you'll see, when it comes to personality and beliefs. She's no Bella Montez or Anna Greingoth. Her facial features, height, and personality leave no doubt that she is Alexander Greingoth's mini-me, as you will soon be able to tell upon meeting her or spending any amount of time with her. More often than not, especially when in the presence of Hufflepuffs ("Puffers") or Gryffindors, Sierra is easily annoyed into an eye roll or a glare. Other times, she has an excellent poker face, and it's difficult to tell if she's content, happy, annoyed, or angry. Consider yourself extremely lucky if she passes even a slight smile or a laugh your way.

ABOUT ME
From the time she was old enough to realize that she was a real witch and what that would mean for her, Sierra has always been a very pro-Slytherin little girl. Her father, Alexander Salazar Greingoth II, was a Slytherin and has always wanted a child or grandchild to be sorted into Slytherin house. Very early on, he saw promise in Sierra and taught her what it truly means to be a Slytherin (in his eyes, of course), and she grew to admire the way the snakes are so ambitious and try extremely hard to achieve their goals.

Sierra will even admit that she's a bit on the cunning side, as well, often times tricking her twin brother into things that could very well get him into a heap of trouble. Once, she managed to secretly get out the house with her mother's wand, and although she didn't really cast a spell with it (she didn't actually know any spells back then, since she was only eight-years-old), she used the threat of a spell to try and convince her brother to overcome his fear of flying and actually get on his new toy broom (her threat didn't work, by the way). When Alex (her twin brother) asked to hold the wand, Sierra reluctantly handed it over--seconds before their mother walked out the house to join them in the backyard. Of course Sierra didn't take the wand back--why would she, when having it would get her into trouble? Deciding it would be much better on her to pretend as if Alex had had the wand all along, Sierra simply stood back and let the cards fall where they may (luckily, neither twin ever got caught and the wand was returned without their parents ever finding out).

While she does in fact consider herself a true Slytherin, it's also true that Sierra isn't intentionally a mean-spirited little girl. She's slightly mature for her age and has a very no-nonsense type attitude. She's very blunt with her opinions and most of the time comes across as extremely sarcastic; but if she isn't overly annoyed by you or doesn't see you as a threat to her own achievements, it's likely she'll at least be civil toward you. She can be nice (sometimes) and actually hopes to make lots of friends, but it's likely at some point her natural instincts--to be ambitious and cunning--will shine through, and she'll attempt to one-up you in something, be it house points, praise from professors, or just normal teenager-type things in general. If she considers you a friend, a frenemy, or at least wants or needs something from you, though, she just might end up using her Slytherin traits to help you, as well.

I'm super fond of Slytherin house, my family and friends (particularly my father, because I'm a Daddy's Girl), my father's girlfriend, being a witch, magical means of doing anything, Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Potions, Transfiguration, being on the Slytherin Quidditch team, my owl and kneazle, trips to the beach (I went to Hawaii two summers ago, and I actually had a really good time!), sleeping late, weekends, summer break, hanging out in Hogsmeade, and hanging out with my older sister (...well, when she does get to hang out with me; she's sort of really busy with her own family).
But I do not care for Hufflepuff house, annoying Gryffindors, Kurumi Hollingberry, Lola Jones, Tori Bunbury, overly-excited or overly-friendly people (no one is that friendly; they have to be up to something), Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, Divination, Muggle Studies, having to ride the Hogwarts Express to and from school even though I live within walking distance, my middle name, those weird flavors at Florean Fortescue's (like Troll Bogey [ew!] or Corned Beef Sandwich [really, does anyone ever order that?], losing at anything, times when my brother acts like a wimp (Really, Alex? Seriously?), having to wake up early, homework, losing, and Muggle means of doing anything!

Although both hoped to have at least one or two more children a few years after Anna's birth, the dream was never able to become a reality. Over time, the then-married Greingoths began to accept the fact that one child was all they'd be blessed with, and by the time Anna had reached ten-years-old, they'd pretty much cast aside all dreams of any additional children. That is, until fate decided to step in. Shortly after Anna began her Hogwarts years, Bella discovered that she was finally expecting again--with twins, no less! Despite the fact that the couple was quite surprised--and quite frantic about the thought of multiples, mind you--they managed to pull everything together and prepare for the best possible life for their new babies. Sierra and Alex's family (their parents, older sister, and grandparents) all teamed together to help one another through the sudden twists, turns, and curve balls that comes with introducing multiples into a family.

Once again, Alexander and Bella proved to be wonderful parents, and Sierra and Alex were partially raised with both their parents (up to age 11, which is the year their parents got divorced) having what Sierra likes to call one of the best lives anyone could ask for! Knowing their children would be attending Hogwarts once they reached eleven-years-old, Alexander and Bella didn't bother with sending Sierra and Alex to a Muggle school. Neither parent saw the point in introducing them to Muggle-type lessons when most of it would just be forgotten and a distant memory once the Hogwarts letters arrived. Instead, Sierra and Alex were home-schooled, learning the basics plus a little bit of magic, too (by watching and listening, of course, since both were too young and too untrained to perform magic themselves).

On the morning of March 17, 2073 (Sierra's 11th birthday), she got out of bed way earlier than normal (6:51 A.M., to be exact) and waited by the kitchen window for a sign that her Hogwarts letter was on its way. About five hours later (her neck was getting really sore by then), a familiar sound, the sound of an owl approaching, echoed throughout the house. Sierra ran to the front door and opened it wide, giving the owl plenty of room to soar through and deliver the letters. From the moment she and Alex received their letters, Hogwarts was all Sierra could think about. She began wearing at least something green each day, and when she thought nobody was looking, she'd wave a twig through the air and pretend it was a real wand.

Year One; Term 27

Sierra officially kicked off her Hogwarts years by 'accidentally' wandering into the prefects compartment on the Hogwarts Express. The school's student leaders were more than understanding and even let her remain in the compartment for the entire ride. At the start of term feast, Sierra was, as she and her family expected, sorted into Slytherin house. At the same feast, her twin brother became the first ever member of the Greingoth-Montez family to be sorted into Hufflepuff house. This separation drove the already-at-odds twins further apart, as Sierra found it more and more difficult to get along with her 'Puffer Brother'. Alex wasn't the only 'Puffer Child' Sierra couldn't get along with, as she more often than not found herself at odds with most Puffers that came her way. The only two exceptions seemed to be Jake Upstead, who gave her a Slytherin ring at the start of term feast, and Treyen Lockhart, who became her Potions partner after the first Potions for Muggles Club meeting. Together, the two are working on a potion to combat the effects of Alzheimer's.

As a pureblood witch raised in a purely magical home, Sierra found it difficult to keep up in some of her classes. It seemed that more than just the Muggle Studies professor had a sincere interest in using magic to help Muggles, a concept Sierra never really could understand. She somehow managed to pull through, though, and in the end placed first points-wise in her house and second points-wise in the school. She was also a member of the Slytherin Quidditch team, playing as Keeper for the duration of her first term. At different points throughout the year, Sierra received two Flying-related injuries to her left arm; one during the last Quidditch match of the season, and the other during the Flying class final. Lucky for Sierra, her shoulder was able to completely heal both times.

Her first year ended with news that her parents were filing for divorce, ending their twenty-something year long marriage. Sierra spent the summer break adjusting to her new life with her father. Together, the two toured Hawaii with her father's new girlfriend.

Year Two; Term 28

IC dates: September, 2074 - June, 2075
Sierra began her second year by being part of a team of students who explored an abandoned pirate ship during the first week of school. Unbeknownst to Sierra, pirate ghosts were also aboard the ship, and a small group of students, Sierra included, became possessed by the ghosts. At first, Sierra's symptoms were small. She stayed hungry a lot (something very unlike her) and sick a lot, as well. Later in the school, Sierra began to have moments where she'd speak in an unfamiliar language (pirate talk) and sword fight other students. This strange behavior ended with a pirate duel in the Great Hall and another duel during the Flying final exam. At the very end of the school year, the pirate ghosts finally accomplished what they'd come to do, and their spirits left the bodies of the possessed children, Sierra included.

In other news, Sierra and Treyen never quite got the chance to work on the potion they'd started brewing last school year. Sierra had discovered she had a crush on Treyen, and because Treyen had started a relationship with Ellie Stone, Sierra found times with him to be sort of awkward. At the end of the school year, Potions students were assigned the task of polyjuicing into another student and writing about their experience. In order to have her "one little moment" with Treyen, Sierra polyjuiced into Kurumi Hollingberry, who she knew was good friends with Treyen. As Kurumi, Sierra kissed Treyen, who ended up kissing her in return. Unbeknownst to Sierra, she's been mostly figured out, so who knows what her next meeting with Treyen and Kurumi will be like.

Slytherin house ended up winning the House Cup, the Quidditch Cup, and the Gobstones Cup, an accomplishment Sierra hopes they'll repeat during her third year. Sierra also won the honor of being first place beater, meaning she had the most bludger hits of all beaters that year. As soon as the school year ended and summer began, though, life started getting a lot harder for Sierra. She ended up running away from home and spent the last week of her summer on the run, staying in places like The Leaky Cauldron and finally, Kurumi Hollingberry's home. She boarded the Hogwart's Express straight from Kurumi's home and ended up back at the place she now calls her permanent home, Hogwarts.

My family is dysfunctional. I wish it was just the three of us.

At the end of Sierra's first year, she and her brother were checked out of school one day to have a family meeting with their mother and father. It was during this meeting that the twins were told their mother and father would be divorcing after a twenty-something year long marriage. Because their parents were attempting to make this transition as easy as possible on their two youngest children, they allowed both Sierra and Alex to choose which parent they'd permanently live with. As a result, Alexander Greingoth received sole custody of Sierra, while Bella Montez received sole custody of Alex. The twins have recently spent their first summer away from one another, a separation which just might help them to get along with one another much better in the longrun. As of now, Sierra has adjusted just fine to life with her father. Alexander even has a new girlfriend, a woman Sierra surprisingly gets along with and looks up to a lot.

For those of you who have been on Snitch Seeker for at least a couple years or longer, you'll likely realize that Sierra is the younger sister of my first character, Anna Greingoth (now Newell). Greingoth was a surname I created back when I first joined the site. It's pronounced 'Green Goth' and is a tribute to Severus Snape. Green, of course, represents Slytherin house, while Goth stands for Snape's black hair and clothes. Neither Anna nor her sister (or any of my characters, actually) are goth, though (I've been asked that several times, lol). I simply used the word as part of my surname, because Snape is one of my favorite characters, and the word reminded me of his appearance. In addition, the name Bella (used as Anna's middle name and Sierra and Anna's mother's first name) is a shortened form of Bellatrix (as in, Lestrange, of course). So there you have it! A bit of OOC trivia-type material as to how I chose some of my family names!

She certainly thinks she is ahead of the fashion curve, which she studies regularly. Tori will always be wearing a pair of sneakers and her favorite outfit consists of her Hogwarts uniform, ripped leggings, and a pair of custom-made Slytherin converse sneaks. She also always has a bit of pink on her (usually in her earrings, sometimes in her hair) and always wears the Slytherin ring her grandfather gave her.

Born and raised in Beverly Hills, California, USA, Victoria – or Princess Tori as she prefers – was raised absolutely spoiled in a giant mansion with her twin brother Aleksander. Being Daddy’s Little Girl naturally means that Tori is the more spoiled of the pair. The twins were tutored for the first twelve years of their life under the finest private educator wizard gold could buy. Coupled with her ability to burst into tears on cue and her knack for making people feel guilty, Tori was always able to get whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted it… until her Daddy got remarried.

Now that his new “Super British” wife packed up the whole family and moved them back to her father’s homeland of England, Tori is going to be attending Hogwarts for the first time. Fortunately, Sander chose to stay back in Cali with her mother, so Tori has no friends and no enemies going into the school year.

And what could be better than a blank slate?

Certain family members have remarked that Tori bears a striking resemblance in behavior to her cousin Anastasia. Interestingly enough, Victoria has only met Annie once, when she was but a baby. Now that she has had the summer to spend reuniting with the British branch of her family, however, Tori has become starstruck by her fashionable cousin and aspires to be the next big Bunz.

Although Tori shares the Bunbury talent for Herbology, Potions, and Care of Magical Creatures, the thirteen year-old is still her own person. For one thing, she will always have a piece of Drooble’s Best Blowing Gum either in her mouth or in her bag at all times. She hates chocolate and her favorite color is pink. She is also exceptionally fond of reading and history in particular. Tori has never flown on a broom, however, and has also never encountered a house-elf, having grown up with human servants instead.

Loud, spoiled, adventurous, cocky, snarky, and like, spoiled, are the best words to describe young Tori. She is just starting to grow up and grow an interest in boys, though as she will tell you, “They’ve been after me for like, ever.” What will this year at Hogwarts bring for the new Slytherin Princess?
