"Home?" Jez leant her head against the window. "I'm not sure where home is anymore, I really don't. My house was blown up. Keegan and Des are living in an abandoned warehouse." Nate was the only person stopping Jez from joining her siblings. Without him and Pam, she'd be spending the holidays in constant fear of being tracked down and murdered. But she didn't want to say that aloud. She was like a locked safe sometimes - impossible to crack. "Nate," she said quietly, still looking at the scenery outside without really seeing it. "Thank you for everything - letting me stay with you, helping me, duelling with me. You don't know how much it means."
"Home. My--Our home." Nate sent a sympathetic smile over to Jez, but she didn't see it. But... Maybe she did, based on what she said next. "Jez, I think I have an idea. I am in Ravenclaw, you know," he added softly, sliding over and wrapping his arms around her, hugging her tight.

Harvey sighed with relief "Good! because you are!" he said smiling weakly.. before it tuning into a proper smile as he hugged her and held her in his arms.

Ronnie smiled. And this time, it was a REAL smile. Not one that was fake or forced or anything. Just a real smile that showed how happy she was that everything was okay. Well, everything was okay between her and Harvey. For Ame and Justin......not so much. She felt bad for them both...she snuggled up to Harvey and hugged him tighter.
After her awkward and completely random stand in the compartment Selina settled back down into her seat as Gideon put his stuff over head in the compartment. There was no lag in the conversation because as Gideon settled in he kept the conversation moving by answering Christopher's question about the summer time. She was actually curious about what he was doing over the summer. The only thing Selina knew with certainty this summer was that Kurumi was coming over at some point. She had never actually fleshed out if she was going to see Gideon or not, although knowing her she would most likely just pop in some days unexpectedly. Best to keep things fresh, besides she was very interested in meeting Kacie. Once Gideon sat beside her she flashed him a smile and looked back at Christopher who was seemingly spacing out again. Her eyebrow rose in his direction and she wanted to wave a hand in his face to bring him back the world of the living but though that would be too rude. So she waited a moment for him to say something. When he finally did it was the most inarticulate mess of words she had ever heard. She assumed he was asking if Gideon was coming over at any point in the summer. She turned her head to look at Gideon and said, "I actually don't know. Are you gonna come by at any point this summer to visit? You know you are always welcome, sir." she smirked that last bit at him. Those nicknames were starting to become second nature to the two of them. To others it might seem a bit odd... then again she didn't care. Suddenly the door burst open to the compartment. It was as if a huge wash of energy surged into the compartment. Once her eyes readjusted to the new light and person in the room she saw Violet Le Veela standing in front of her grinning to no end and talking a million miles an hour. That was until she picked up on the other body in the compartment- Christopher. There was a whole mess of tension that was thrown into the compartment as Violet noticed that her space was beside Christopher in the compartment. Selina was about to move over to sit next to Christopher to help the awkwardness when Violet finally sat down. Selina nodded to Violet and retorted, "Yeah, its crazy that were fourth years now. I remember first year like it was yesterday. It is a really... weird thing, getting older. And you two," she said turning her body to look between the two older boys, "you're fifth years. That is just too odd. I can't believe it." Once her voice stopped making noise there was an awkward lag in the conversation. Obviously Christopher and Violet had very little to say to each other... and now the compartment was quiet.

But then Selina answered first looking to him for clarification and he turned her as he mulled over the decision. "Well I was thinking on it m'lady, though I wasn't sure the invitation was officially open...until now," he answered allowing a small smile at her. He hadn't been about to visit if Selina and even Christopher didn't want him there, not that he really thought they would have a problem with him. The now-fifth year was however aware of the fact that he would be meeting the other family including his girlfriend's father which made the situation more ackward then simply vsiiting friends as it would have been had this happened last summer. Hearing the compartment door open once more, Gideon briefly wondered who it could be but he didn't have to as the Hufflepuff spoke in greeting. If the compartment could have gotten any more ackward, it certainly just had. Not that he minded Violet's entrance into the group, but the former couple was still re-building ties. Gideon himself wondered that if he had known she was to join them that perhaps he should have taken the spot next to Christopher to play it safe with the two boys and the two girls paired off together by gender. Too late for that now. "Um..aye it does feel odd a bit. Gonna feel interesting I suppose next term even more," he remarked exchanging glances with his fellow yearmate. After all now they simply had 5th year to look forward to, and the girls had 4th year. Next train ride they would be heading towards those years head on with OWLS looming in the not to distant future for himself and Christopher. With more and more crowdiness up in the racks and company in the compartment, Corvin seemed not to like his perch anymore. So the raven hopped down to be with the four students, returning to Gideon's shoulder and silently eying the cat on Violet's lap as the quiet lingered between the humans.
Could this train ride get anymore uncomfortable?
With Selina and Gideon's "sir and m'lady" thing, which was really weird to him, everyone noticing the awkward seating arrangement, and the now utter silence, Christopher wondered when it would ever end. And they hadn't even left yet.
He looked around, trying to form something in his head to say to close the silence that was continuing to grow. Eventually, he said quietly, adding on to the fifth year comment, "Yes, I suppose it quite strange to think that we'll be OWL students next year. Where do the days go?" He really did feel as though he'd sped through his days at Hogwarts so quickly- and he didn't want them to end so soon. First year felt like yesterday, and here he was, preparing for one of the biggest tests he'd ever take. Thankfully he'd have summer to relieve him of his studies for now.
His eyes wandered to the crow perched on Gideon's shoulder, glaring down at Sadie. He'd never seen a crow at the school before. Only cats, and owls, and frogs, and rats. His own owl was flying to the Skylar residence- the bird hated being locked up for too long. It made him wonder where Elyon was. He shifted his thoughts back to the bird with the beady eyes, and said just loudly enough for everyone to hear, "How curious...." Curious indeed.

Jez closed her eyes, a smile creeping over her face. She could always rely on Nate to say something that would probably make her feel better. And the hug helped too. "Really? I wouldn't have guessed," she teased gently, turning and kissing him lightly. "Maybe it's the fact that you're almost always right," she whispered. Admitting someone else was right - that was right up there with 'I love you' on Jez's list of compliments. That and 'maybe you're as smart as me'.
Chelsea smiled, she was happy to see he still wore it.
Gazing out the window, she just realized that she was no longer a first year "I wonder if next year will feel any different, you know, not being first years" she said.
He was happy he still wore it.''Well Hopefully Not,Because your always the one who's going chaotic and not knowing where to go.''He said laughing.''I'm describing Myself.''He said.Damit He thought,He had just said it aloud.
Jade slightly smiled as he assured her that he would stand up for her next time. Yeah, because there was going to be a next time. Ugh. Well at least she had time before the next year. But that meant less time with Nikolas.
She put a hand on his shoulder and shook her head as she looked at him. "I'm sure they like you, they're just in a complicated situation or something right now." She sighed, placing her hand beside her. She could tell he was becoming mad and she felt horrible that she couldn't do anything. Although, she did agree with everything he was saying. "Nik, I told Mark, my brother, through a letter that I was dating you now and other things about my parents. My parents found the letter that Mark was going to send back to me about the arguments that parents were having back at home. However, my parents found it and sent a letter to me from them, saying that I wasn't allowed to be with you anymore as well as...I might not be able to come back next year to Hogwarts." The brunette shook her head as she said it and looked away. She stood up and paced around the small compartment, contemplating the thoughts in her head.
Nikolas looked at her in silence while she explained what had happened about a letter and her family. It wasn't a good new, that was for sure. But the thing that hit him was the fact that maybe Jade wasn't coming back next year. Are you serious? They took him like years to start dating and when things were perfect something had to ruined it.
"Why? Now your parents thinks Hogwarts isn't a good place?" Yes, he was pretty mad right now but his voice was calm. This is not what he imagined as a good start of vacations. "What if I talk to them?" he asked all of the sudden " I don't know I'm sure I can come up with something and try to make them change their minds" he shrugged.
Jordan had been searching the train for Faina, but had failed in finding her. He opened the door, and found Jez and Nate in a tight embrace. He sidled in, not wanting to disturb them and sat down watching Rowena who was stomping and growling about her kitty carrier.
India didn't want to be alone on the train - not now, it would be lonely - and sad, and boring. Boredom was not in her vocabulary - nope not at all. Making her way through the middle of the train she glanced into compartment after compartment attempting to find an all together bustling on. Or one that she knew someone in it at least.
"Advance Australia fair!" She absentmindedly sang out - quietly but still she was singing her national Anthem on a train.

Amethyst need to get away from it all. She didn't want to cry anymore. She wanted to sleep, she needed to. She put her trunk in the overhead of the empty car and sat there writing, drawing, and reading. She wrote Kyle a letter asking to have her sword and the blade sharpener out at the farest place from the house. She just wanted to be alone.

V sighed, "That sounds like fun. I hope to get into Slytherin as well. My Father, his Father, and so on, were all Slytherins. I can play the piano quite well. If they have one at Hogwarts, I can play something for you. Do you know any dances?" She was quite a wonderful dancer herself.
"Dancing is by far my most favorite thing, although I do enjoy singing." She smiled uneasily and wondered if the conversation was boring.
Groobers eyes brightened at the thought of dancing with someone his age. His Grandmother only taught him the dances she knew when she was a girl. "I know some older dances, jitterbug, the hustle, mashed potato, the twist...Can you teach me some new dances?" He hoped she didn't think he was weird for dancing. "Lets hope we are as good at casting charms and such as we are at dancing." He pretended to wave his finger like a wand.

V chuckled and then covered her nose. His stench would only get stronger if they danced together. "Perhaps lets keep to singing? We can dance when there is more space." She kindly offered.
"I just sung you a schooltime song. Do you know any songs?" She had just made that song up and hoped he also had that talent. Then they could sing together.

Glenn dragged her trunk aboard the Hogwarts Express, and busied herself with finding an empty compartment. Most were already occupied with students already; she averted her eyes from those ones.
She peered through the window of a compartment and found it empty. Glenn collapsed onto the seat, pulling her white kitten gently from her pocket and letting her curl up on her stomach. She couldn't wait to sleep in her own bed at home as well as having her own room. She sighed and pulled her curly blond hair from its bun and sat up; making her kitten fall to ground with a hiss.
Glenn watched students come aboard the train from the window and waited for the inevitable company in the crowded train.
Tahnee hurried past the jam-packed compartments, looking desperately for someone who looked as new as she was. She ran past a compartment where a girl who looked about her age was sitting alone, and then doubled back and peeked in again. She looked nice.
Tahnee opened the compartment door and smiled at the girl. "Hi! Do you mind if I sit here?" she asked, not waiting for an answer. She sat down across from the girl and grinned hugely. "My name is Tahnee. I think your kitten is ADORABLE!" she exclaimed, pointing a sparkly fingernail at the white ball of fur.
Nessie shrugged dissmissingly. "I don't know. I would have to come up with something really good that wouldn't get me suspended." She smirked and started thinking of ideas all of them ending up with her getting suspended.
Maxwell laughed then with all the slyness of a fox he said "That's why you do something that could be written off as an accident, no one's going to blame you for an accident."

Maxwell noticed Jordan feeling awkward as he sometimes had around couples. "Jordan! have you got any ideas on how Nessie can get back at Professor Lefay for being as unpleasant as a dementor all the time? I'm thinking a practical joke that looks like an accident. what do you think?"
Salima walked into an empty compartment because she felt like being alone for the time being. She took her book out of her bag, The Tales of the Beadle the Bard by Beadle the Bard, she never really had the chance to read it so she wanted to start with the few hours left before arriving at Kings Cross Station. Salima finished off her pumkin pastie and drank more water.
Why was this guy looking at him like that? Mighty Paulie? What the heck, why'd he call him THAT? "Yeah, yeah, whatev-" He cut himself off as he realized what he was thinking. Really? He thought he was cocky? Okay, well maybe that may have sounded like arrogance by the way he worded it, but that was TOTALLY not what Paulie meant. "Oh, wait, wait, wait. I said my full name 'cause I like my name. A lot. Not 'cause I'm some arrogant prick." And he wanted to clarify this, whether the accent guy wanted to believe it or not.
Aah, right. So, he was from Brazil. "Just wonderin'." Paulie shrugged.
O_O
Wait. WHATWHATWHAT?
Brazil. BRAZIL as in BRAZIL NUT?!
"Uh, one more thing.." 'Cause he was probably thinking Paulie was a nutter humself for asking all these questions. "What's your name?"
Joćo raised his eyebrows, looking very sceptical as he was at the verge of bursting out laughing again. Good thing he didn't walk away the moment the guy hit him, or else, he would have been deprived of this fun.
"Oh so you like your name and you are not an arrogant prick. Good to know, Mr. Modestie." By now he knew he let out a very amused chuckle that had everything to do with mocking the boy. Oh man, these Gryffindors were funny when forced to speak. They had such wonderful communication skills and a wide vocabulary.
Cocking his head to back as if viewing him from even a higher place, Joćo pondered the question. "Why, are you suddenly more interested in me? I bet you even want to be my mate now." He smirked nastly. The boy was so pathetic. He lifted his spirits up.
"Joćo Texeira." He'd only told his name to hear him try pronouncing it. He'd even picked his Texeira surname, which was the hardest for an English speaker. Heh.
Ariana looked appalled that Jordan hadn't even noticed she was there.. they were friends all year!!! Ariana put her hand out to Jez "& i'm Chop-liver apparently!" she said Eye-balling Jordan at the same time.
"ohh whatever max!" she nudged him as she sat down next to him. she was waiting for Jordan to properly introduce her already
"Hello, Chop liver i'm Maxwell!" He said extending his hand and bracing for the impact of hers, he was sure he'd get hit.

Paulie nodded vaguely. "Yep, you got it." Essentially the opposite of him. For as much of a prick as this kid was, he was actually getting more boring the longer he talked to him. All he did was spit out sarcastic remarks, and frankly... wasn't that what ALL Slytherins did? Eh, whatever. The only thing that set this one apart was the weird twang to his words.
The Gryffindor rolled his eyes at his suggestion about his newfound interest in him and his wanting to be 'mates.' "Uh huh, sure." Just answer the damn question, Snake!
And, finally, he did.
Paulie's jaw set as he heard his name. Joao. BRAZIL NUT. AKA, the git who conned Louisa away from Adam. Adam, PAULIE'S best mate. Gosh, did he want to punch him! Unfortunately for Paulie, this was not the place. Nor did Paulie even really know how to fight properly. Some more muscle on his arms might have helped a bit, too..
"Right. Joćo." He did his best to control his tone, which - with this guy - was an effort. "Well, then. I suppose I'll be seeing you next term." For the time being, he let the fact that he was Adam's best mate fall to the wayside.
