Jumping on his feet, Josh grinned happily ''That's my card! Mine, mine, mine!! I won! I won! I won!''

Hehehehehehehe...*ahem*

Maybe it was too early to say that. It was just the first raund after all yet it felt good to be winning at something that did not include...fighting or any other physical act.

Taking the cards, he shuffled them and placed them on the table. Why? Because he wanted to. Then he picked up a green card and placed it in the middle of the table.

"Yeah, I hope so." he said sitting back slightly to watch as Kourtney took her turn on the game board.

Auggie watched the spinner go around and around until it finally landed on...one. "Umm...good spin?" he said and then chuckled lightly. It was all in fun though.

"My turn again!" the boy spun the spinner hard and watched as it went around too many times to count finally landing on, "Seven, alright!" he moved 7 more spots and landed on the 'Eleven square'.

"Again, nothing. Your turn." the spot he had landed on was at the bottom of a chute so it really could have been worse.

Kourtney poked her tongue out at Auggie at his response to her spin. "Beautiful spin, right?" She laughed and watched as the spinner spun again. Aww, no go on that turn either.

Reaching forward, she took her turn, spinning the spinner just a little slower this time. 2! YES! With a grin, she moved her marker to the square with the girl baking the cake, which also contained a ladder.

She moved the marker up the ladder to square number 14 which depicted the finished cake product. Auggie still wasn't far behind her, but she still managed to jump ahead. "Not a bad spin." She remarked in satisfaction.

"Sure...why not," Gideon answered taking a seat of his own at the table to be comfortable rather then remain standing. "I warn ye though that I've never played before so bear with me," he added in warning hoping it wasn't too hard to catch on. He took the cards dealt to him and watched as Kurumi turned over the first card. Paying attention to what cards others chose to play the fourth year had some clue as to what to do and played his own card.

At Josh's words as well as his laying down of the next card, the younger Gryffindor caught on to how the rounds were won and progressed. Selina sighed when Kurumi did not pick her card. What was the matter with her answer? Cockroaches were enormously fluffy. But Josh won and she quickly brushed it off and moved onto the next card. Her head was in the game and if she could win this thing she so would.

So when he flipped over Here Selina's head flew down to look at her cards. Again, she had nothing extremely amazing for a put down. Until she saw one that would work, in her opinion perfectly, best friend. Kurumi was here after all... right? Isn't this how the game worked???

Kurumi laughed as Josh did all but dance around the table with glee for winning the first card. Did he not realize that this meant that he was fluffy? That was one of the results of the game after all, the cards that you won were the ones that were supposed to reflect who you were as a person. So...Josh was fluffy...like a teddy bear.

Kurumi leaned over when she saw Josh flip over a green card. Needless? Kurumi then scanned her own cards. All of them seemed to be need-worthy in her eyes, but if she had to pick one...

It was funny to see a seventh year jumping with joy and grinning like silly! Now Ira moved on to the next game...'Needless?' What could be the card metching needless? She looked at her cards. She picked the one she deemed most fit, at least in her opinion:

Eyeing everyone carefully as they put down their cards, Josh waited patiently for everyone and once they each placed the cards they had chosen on the table, the boy jumped at collected them like a lion would jump at the sight of meat. And after randomly shuffling them, he liked shuffling apparenly for some unknown reason as one could understood from the expression on his face as he did so, he examined each carefully.

Pens, Lost, Cosmetics and Best Friend...

Well...that was a hard decision. Yet though his gaze lingered on some of them thinking they looked reasonable to him, the dark brown eyes stopped longer on the Cosmetics one. Eh...he could remember how annoying that was when he was polyjuiced into Iris. He could remember washing all the make up off his or Iris' face thinking she looked fine without them anyway. Not that he thought all cosmetics were....useless but that was an annoying memory.

''I chose this card.'' therefore he said holding up the 'Cosmetics' card and showing it to everyone.

"Yipee...thats my card!" Ira yelled. And at once felt a little embarassed to have shouted that way...
Anyways she was too happy to think about it...
Now she had to shuffle and pick a green card, right? So Ira reached for the green pile and picked a card:

"Ugh! Lucky break!" Auggie said sticking his tongue out as Kourtney was able to get a ladder and take over the lead.

The Gryffindor boy took the spinner and took his turn getting an '8', "Awesome, a big number!" He moved his piece and landed on the 19 space. "Still nothing. Your turn. It's funny 'cause I always remembered being good at this game."

Kourtney smirked as Auggie reacted to her spin. "Nah, that was pure skill." She boasted, quite happy with the lead. Well...she had the lead for now, until the next spin, which....resulted in an 8, and a big jump ahead to the number 19 for August.

"I'm just better." She joked as she spun. 5. Moving her marker, she laughed, knocking her marker gently at Auggie's marker, jostling for position on the square. "There you go. We can share."

Kurumi really was enjoying just how excited people were when their cards were selected. It's the small things in life, right?

Giggling softly, Kurumi peered over just a bit when Ira played her own card. Rotten? Well, Kurumi wasn't sure she wanted to win this particular card and, looking at her hand, nothing really seemed rotten to her.

Furrowing her brow, Kurumi's fingers traced the edges of her cards before finally selecting one.

Gideon was having fun playing along although as rounds progressed he wasn't having much luck with matching his cards with the one played. And each time he wasn't being chosen though the fourth year didn't mind all that much.It as just a game and one being done for homework...not like they were being graded on how well they played.

However when the card marked 'Rotten' was played, he looked over his remaining cards and smiled as he spotted one that seemed to work just perfectly. Slipping it from his hand, Gideon placed the chosen red card face down on the table.

"Pffft, in your dreams Kourt." Auggie watched she moved her marker to land on the same spot his marker was on. That sucked they were tied. He didn't like to be tied. To be tied ment you had to share first palce.

"Well I don't like to share," he said jokingly as he spun the spinner yet again. "I am an only child you know. Two!" Auggie looked at his marker and then moved it two spaces to land on the 21 spot and.... "A ladder!" Auggie moved his marker up the ladder and to the 42 spot. He was winning! "Now that's skill." He teased.

Kourt laughed again as Auggie spoke. "Oh come on...you know that I'll win, so you can totally give up and give me the game now." She teased, watching as he spun the spinner needle.

"Well, then we've got a problem because I'm an only child too, so I have the same non-sharing tendencies."

She shot a mock glare in his direction as he landed on a ladder and jumped up several rows to a square with a girl hugging her pet. "Luck." She muttered, but smiled at the same time.

Reaching forward, she spun again. 7 spaces...to square 26, which was at the bottom of a chute, so it didn't really affect her, but she was behind...way behind.

She eyed the board's spaces. If Auggie would roll a 5, he would land in the same place as her.

Another only child eh? Well it looked like Auggie was going to have some real competition then. He was really enjoying his game time with Kourtney the little Gryffindor first year. She was really cool, a good friend no doubt about it.

"Ohhh that could have been bad had it been the top of a chute." he said pointing at the board. "Now I will show you how to do a real spin." He took the spinner, spun it once again and got a...one.

"Don't say a word!" he said trying not to laugh and moving his marker only one space forward stubbornly.

Kourtney nodded in agreement. "You're right about that. Good thing it was at the bottom...looks like he was doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing." She studied the little boy sitting in a puddle of water.

She stifled a giggle as Auggie spun a one. Oh, that was a real spin. She said nothing...just tossed a wide grin in his direction. She took her turn, spinning...a two. With a whoop, she moved her piece and ascended the ladder to number 84.

She then looked around, slightly embarrassed at the exuberant shout. "Sorry..got a little over-excited there." She pushed the spinner towards him, still grinning.

Ira looked over the cards that were being put down...Tissue, yeah maybe it could be rotten. When she saw the card 'Fortune' it seemed good enough. 'Oh my! people are always complaining of their rotten fortune!' Ira thought as she remembered especially her aunt in the muggle world.
She hoped the others would put theirs down soon...

Selina rolled over the new card in her mind. Fortune? The cards that kept getting chosen were awful or maybe she was just awful at the game. Well, she was not going to take this game lightly anymore. Maybe if she had a strategy and each player was given a card that matched their personalities it would work. So who was up? Well, she could go for funny... yeah, that would work.

What should Ira choose? Rotten homework or fortune or tissue...Ira thought about it and selected a card
Whose card is this? She showed the selected card to everyone. Yeah, according to her, homework was a rotten thing!

When Selina saw that her card had been picked she threw her fist up in the air, "YES! WOO!!!" Maybe she was a tad bit competitive, but that was the way she was- it was not like she could help it. When you can't fight it, you just roll with it. Selina chuckled to herself a little and slid the green card over to herself. She had a green card. She was awesome.

Then she flipped over the green card and said, "Alright, give me something..."

Hostile? What would pair up with hostile? Ira wondered. She looked at her cards and thought about it. Nothing was hostile there.

Kurumi giggled some more as Selina did her own little celebratory dance at winning a card. Kurumi grabbed a few more red apples cards, having forgotten to take some after discarding earlier and shuffled through them while she waited for Selina to play a card. The moment she did, Kurumi's mouth turned into a smile and she placed her card upside down on the table.

Of all people, Selina should find these buggers hostile.
