Nika heard Samira's first sentence and couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. She'd been expecting more along the lines of, "You shouldn't hold a grudge" or "It was sorta your fault too." But not what she heard, she wasn't expecting that at all. Then she contorted her face some more so now it was no longer showing her shock, but an expression of confusion. What did Samira mean? Then the Slytherin started to speak again. Then it seemed like a good turn for Nika to say something, but what to say she didn't know. She could have spoken up with the expected, "Yeah!" But Nika was not what everyone expected anyway so being abnormal in her response wouldn't have been too odd either.
She just stared at Samira. Well a part of Nika felt guilty for saying all of those mean things. Even guiltier for getting Samira to say those mean things too. She just wanted her old friend back, the one that went ice skating with her on the great lake, the one who taught her some charms, the one who was there through everything. Not an enemy. She looked up at Samira and took a deep breath. She waited for Samira to say more because Nika certainly had no idea what was going to come next.
Leave her? Surely Nika's own intentions hadn't been that bad. She only wanted Emily to know how upset she was then maybe in a good month or two... or three... or five they'd make up again. Even if they had to make up via owl. She wasn't planning on losing her old best friend over a stupid fight. "I-I guess so." Nika was falling for Samira's little act though. No matter how much she loved Emily before her friend had made her very upset and even angrier than she had ever been since her first term. Samira had been nothing, but loyal this year so she owed the snake in a sense. "I remember." She said almost wincing thinking about it. Taking another deep breath she looked up again.
"No I don't." Nika murmured in agreement. Samira's words yet short and quick had started to circle in Nika's mind. "You'll get hurt again.... Better off without her.... Forget her... Hard enough time... She will hurt you..." It was as if Samira were whispering the words in herself in Nika's ears. How was Nika supposed to make the decision. At this point it was like choosing between Samira and Emily. How was she supposed to make that choice? Emily her best friend from first year who broke her heart one to many times, then Samira the slytherin friend who stuck by her through and through and was loyal until the end. How was she supposed to pick. If anything Nika felt like more of a jumbled mess than she was when she first walked towards the slytherin table. She just needed time to think. Maybe in the train she'd be able to find an empty compartment. Maybe she'd be able to find someone who could help her out, someone who was impartial on the matter. Maybe a random hufflepuff or something?
This just became a whole lot more complicated than it needs to be.
A tiny, almost unnoticed part in Samira squirmed with guilt. She couldn't help but feel she was ruining the friendship between Nika and Emily. But, no...Samira's own words had convinced her. Emily would hurt Nika again, one way or another. Either she'll unexpectedly move, or say something hurtful, or something. But Samira knew Emily couldn't be trusted. From what Samira witnessed this past term, Nika's emotional state was fragile, and she could be hurt easily.
Samira wasn't like that though. If something happens, she just trains herself to let it roll off her like waves. In a way, they made a rose. Nika was the soft, delicate petals that were so easy to pluck and manipulate and hurt. Samira, well, Samira was the thorns of the rose. Innocently laying there, unnoticed until she pricks, protecting the petals. Yes, that's what Samira was doing. She was protecting the petals from the greedy hands that belonged to Emily Smith. Nika would thank her one day, she just knew it.
Samira held her breath as she watched Nika think it over. Her ability to con people coupled with her persuasive and acting skills meshed with the sincerity in her to make the perfect plan. She couldn't stand it if Nika got hurt again. After all, the Gryffindor didn't know what she wanted. The poor girl was obviously confused, and Samira was like a big sister there to help guide her, whether Nika knew it or not.
The Slytherin resisted the urge to cheer in triumph. Samira-1, Emily-0.
Oh, how quickly Samira could turn on her allies! Wasn't it just yesterday that Emily was teaching Samira that charm to color her bag? Well, this is why she liked being a Slytherin. She didn't have to be bothered by remorse.
Thinking this had gone on long enough, Samira silkily changed the subject. "I can't believe term is over," she commented smoothly, not a hint of guilt in her voice. "I'm excited to be a third year. One step closer, you know?"

Nika kept hearing Samira's voice circling round and round, "You don't want to get hurt..... She'll hurt you.... Forget her..." Nika was on the verge of exploding. All this thinking was just too much for her poor little head to handle. She just needed to find an impartial Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff. Just someone who didn't have a side to choose so that she could get a break from having to think this hard. She's still technically a second year, how is she supposed to know what's best for herself. She just needs a nice long nap. Or maybe to sing. Or play football... Or sing and play football. Just something to take her mind off of this drama that she didn't really want to be apart of, but sadly happened to be right in the center of it all.
Nika massaged the temples of her forehead as she thought of what would happen. Either way Emily was moving right? So if she did forget her there would be no harm done. The only problem is Nika has a conscious. That little conscious has a voice, a voice inside her head. The more Nika thought the dizzier she was getting. Her conscious and all of the little mini-Nikas running around in her head were going nuts! They're on code red, running around everywhere. Then poof! Nika looked at her shoulder and sure enough she could see someone there. Poof! She looked at her other shoulder and she could see someone else standing there too. She shook her head then looked back at each shoulder and sure enough the two Nika-look-a-likes were still there. One with the halo and the other with devil horns.
Oh Merlin this is going to be a long day. 'Don't let go of Emily. She was a good friend!'"But she betrayed me. She's leaving me."'She has to. Her mom.' Nika sighed as she looked at her "angel mini-me". The other one started talking. 'Don't listen to that guy. She's just trying to make you feel guilty. Samira is right. Forget Emily.'"But she is my friend."'Was. Was your friend.'"Can you two just go away!" Nika blinked and then they were gone. Both of them. She looked up at Samira and smiled sheepishly then back at her shoulders. Was she just imagining that all in her head. 'Oh merlin, dear merlin, don't let it be in my head. That means they won't leave.'
She heard Samira's next question and let out a sigh of relief. She'd changed the topic. "Yeah, me neither. Actually I thought it went by so fast, but bits of it went real slow." Mostly the bits with the drama, but that was an unnecessary detail. "I'm glad we're gonna be third years next term." They won't be on the bottom anymore! They'll be sorta in the middle? THe bottom of the middle, but they will be in the middle-ish nevertheless.

It was just the loss of one friend. What was the big deal? Samira was the better choice and friend anyway. She would never hurt one of her friends. But Nika still looked conflicted. No matter, Samira had a feeling it would take time for her to get over it anyway. And Samira would be there the whole time.

Aurora jumped up on the bench, "CONGRATULATIONS!" she yelled and pounced on Aaron and Iris, oblivious to the fact that they might just want to be together. "I TOLD you you should get married!!!!" Aurora was dancing around, cape flying behind her, when Professor Lafay arrived. She sat down quickly, still bouncing with excitement. She was glad Lafay hadn't mentioned her outfit... Though it wasn't the most ridiculous thing she's ever worn... Speaking of clothes, Aurora tried to look particularly cute during the feast in case she was asked to wear...

The end of the term feast definitely had some ups and downs. Down, because seventh years are graduating and probably some of the students might transfer--- who knows?--- It's sad to see that the Head Girl Iris, Prefect Evan and Quidditch Team Captain Aaron is finally having their last days as a student here in Hogwarts. Jonathan watched most of the seventh year that passed by and joined with their houses for the last time.
But suddenly, AARON JUST PROPOSED TO IRIS??? 0_____0.
Congratulations. Jonathan definitely knew this one was coming. Seriously, they're the best slytherin couple. Well, everyone just looked happy and proud for the two of them. Heck, even Lafay did even though she didn't give out a smile. It would be nice if Lafay could smile once in awhile, just to ease the tension. As Lafay went over, Jonathan bowed instead of greeting, adding a smile.
And suddenly there was a LITTLE GIRL ON HIM!!!!! Aaron almost fell backwards from Aurora... But he gave her a hug and said, "Thanks, Anderson-Girl." The man laughed as Aurora saw Lafay walk over...
Aurora grinned "Anytime Daddy Snake!" she said, releasing her long red curls from their ribbons. "I still think you should have a superhero costume too. Look, I even have a matching mask!" She picked it up from where it was on the table. The same green as her outfit, a silver edging shimmering around the eye holes. "And Iris should have one too... Though I don't think she'd agree." Aurora glanced at Mummy Snake. She had been thinking about superheros all morning, she knew they were a muggle concept but they were SO COOL!! Iris' costume would be rainbow-y...
"This has been the best year EVER!" she said, thinking back to when she had just started. She hadnt been very nice back then... And Hogwarts was much better than home-schooling... She had learnt so much more in this one year than she had since she started her tutoring, not just about academic stuff but about people as well and she'd made real friends rather than having to spend time with the children of her parent's friends. She LOVED Hogwarts and maybe next year she'd have someone to love it with...

Mordred kept the camera right away trying not to laugh. He never imagined that the Aurora he met back at Diagon Alley was actually capable of wearing something…silly. Still, he cannot wait to see the picture he just took. A dancing Aurora. With a cape.

Then she suddenly grinned, "Next time ask and I'll pose!" she chuckled and twirled round, putting her mask on and posing in true Superhero Sidekick style. She would never have dressed like this at the start of the year but Hogwarts seemed to have unleashed her crazy and it was getting stronger by the minute. The prejudiced, judging Aurora was sill there but you had to dig real deep to get to it... Or just say the wrong thing at the right time...
Right now though, Aurora was so high on life that none of that mattered. "Promise you'll write over the summer Mord, unless Mother organises one of her fancy dinner parties - no doubt you'll be invited if she does. Have you brushed up on your ballroom dancing recently?" she laughed, it was a well known fact amongst her family that, at a dinner party, the children represented how good the family were and they MUST DANCE TOGETHER unless they wanted to show up their parents.

I'm his serpent sidekick so I figured I'd dress like a sidekick to celebrate our winnings and HIS ENGAGEMENT!!!" she said undoing her mask again.
"Of course they do. We have the same breed of Mother. All fancy appearances and the sort." she shrugged. "I was just suggesting you may want to practice as you've been away for a while..." she teased, executing a perfect pirouette before sitting down again.
She raised her eyebrows. "Oh those photos will be BRILLIANT in my scrapbook for this year, but they'd be better with Aaron dressed up too." she glared at the captain, he could have at least made the effort.

Helena turned her attention quickly towards the very familiar - and also creepy - voice. Their lovely head of house, of course. Apparently, she came to congratulate her Slytherins, but maybe... she was happy in her own way... ?

Well, of course Freya already noticed the Green and Silver color all around the Great Hall, its hard not to noticed though. In fact that was the first thing she noticed when she walked into the Great Hall. "The Green and Silver looked very good color for Great Hall decoration don't you think?" she asked with a smirk.

Jai wandered over to the Slytherine house table to look for one person and hoped not to see another. He quickly scanned the house table to look for Caroline. He couldn't go by blonde hair since there were some many blondes in this house. He wanted to talk to her.

“True. Maybe I should tell Calen to polish my shoes for me the moment I get home.” Calen his own house-elf must’ve been very bored without Mordred asking him to do chores for him. “Then practice with mother…on second thought, maybe not. She’ll get over-excited…that is if I get invited.” The boy said as he scratched his chin and rested his head on his hand. “I can just imagine the hours I will be wasting with my mum in ‘Twilfit and Tattings’.” He continued as he began to recall the time he had to get fitted for his mother’s birthday party. His dress robe was good, but he hated high-collared shirts – the type of shirt his mother always gets for him.
“I’ll have the pictures developed soon.” He said as he tried not to laugh. “I really wasn’t expecting that.” Mordred said pointing at Aurora’s costume. He looked down at the table again to look at the captain. “He seems pretty cool to wear some sort of costume, but that will definitely ruin his moment.” He added. “Hey, maybe I should take a picture of you with the captain and head girl after the feast. It’ll be a great souvenir.” he suggested. “And who knows. This might be the last time we get to witness you wear such thing.” he added suppressing a laugh.

Iris couldn't help but laugh. Sierra was congratulating her for doing the one thing she didn't want to do right now. "Thanks... I guess." As the younger girl asked what was next, Iris smiled a little. "Furthering my Transfiguration studies." Yup... Iris decided that staying vague on that would be best. The kid didn't need to hear the full outline of what Iris was hoping to achieve over the next couple of years... it'd probably bore her to death.
"Make sure we win at least the Quidditch again next year, won't you?"

Anyway, when Iris kissed him, all he could do, was place the ring on Iris' finger, stuff the box in his pocket, (smile), stand up, give his future wife the biggest hug he had ever given anyone..... and then nothing. He seriously couldn't do anything else. He should have probably sat down or something. But he couldn't focus on it.
Aaron knew there were congratulations and good jobs coming his way (he may have even noticed Jimbo) but none of it computed. He was too busy recovering from his panic attack.

Hugging him back, Iris snuggled into his neck slightly. "I love you," she whispered again, but this time only loudly enough for Aaron and herself to hear.
Iris sighed, happily. She looked away from Aaron and over to Headmaster Tate. He'd be giving his speech really soon, right? Well... She didn't have to keep her eyes on the staff table until he did.
While Aaron said something to Professor Lafay, Iris' eyes fell on her hands. The ring looked so odd on her hand, but so perfect at the same time. Iris smiled...

Just because Fallon was going to New York, and just because Aaron was going to be playing Professional Quidditch didn't mean that everything had to change. Well, that's how Iris was hoping it would be, anyway.

Fallon watched in awe as Aaron got down on one knee in front of the Great Hall. When Iris said yes, she wanted to squeal with excitement...except that's when Professor Lafay showed up. She contained her squeal as Lafay didn't seem to happy with what had just occured in front of her.
Fallon grinned widely at Iris as she turned to look back at you. "I can't believe he just did that! I'm so happy for you." She was very tempted to just jump over the table and five her best friend a big hug.

So they weren't breaking up, just his luck. The Boyfriend was going on and on about his love for Monty and Jimbo wasn't sure how much longer he could stand it. He just wanted The Boyfriend to get on with it. Whatever it was, Jimbo needed to hear it now before he lost his nerve and decided he didn't want to hear it at all. And it is all obviously very serious because the boy looked like he was sweating buckets.
Jimbo didn't realise he had begun to glare at The Boyfriend until he was forced to widen his eyes in terror.
Aaron "The Boyfriend" Anderson has just gotten down on one knee.
Aaron "The Boyfriend" Anderson has just pulled out a ring.
Aaron "The Boyfriend" Anderson has asked the dreaded question.

In the light of everything, Iris had completely forgotten that she'd seen Jimbo stood near by all of a sudden. And now he'd just yelled something really loudly.
She just looked at him, slightly confused and hurt. Iris knew very well how Jimbo felt about her. She knew that was why he hidden from her for most of the last year and a half. Iris wasn't stupid; and that's exactly why she ignored Jimbo and his feelings. There was no way she was going to let them ruin what she had with Aaron.
Just like they were right now.
Iris just glared at Jimbo. She didn't know what else to say. She didn't want to say anything to him. Slowly, her glare turned into a much sadder expression. With a small frown, Iris finally spoke up to the boy. "Jimbo... Don't ruin this for me. Please... don't." Whether it was the moment she was talking about, or the... everything as a whole, Iris wasn't sure. She was certain that she didn't want any of it ruined by jealousy, though.
And then, with that being said, Iris turned around in her seat; putting her back to Jimbo.

When when those words came into Aaron's ear. He responded, just as quiet.... "I love you, more." But then, Aaron let go. He had to let go. They couldn't stay there all day, then.
Tate was going to begin his speech soon. And their, as Lafay said, "Love Fest" continued.... They would prooooobably get in trouble. But whatever. Meh.

Aaron wanted a superhero costume. I mean, who wouldn't?? "I'm wearing my Quidditch uniform. I AM a Superhero." Aaron's done some pretty super things in that outfit. But there was a mask... The one in Aaron's pocket was not nearly as impressive as the one she made. Hmph. He was going to keep it.
The Captain picked up the mask Aurora made and put it on. There: Aaron-Man and Anderson-Girl, IN THE FLESH! Aaron imagined the comic book. But then, Aurora mentioned Iris. Aaron couldn't help but laugh- especially after what just occured. "No, I don't think she would..."
'Best Year Ever.' Aaron sat down next to Aurora and leaned back with her. "I'd agree with that," But the other ones weren't too bad ever. At least Aurora's first year wasn't water-filled. Aaron's time at Hogwarts was a lifetime of events and adventures. "As you get older, and explore Hogwarts more... And meet new people... It's going to get even better." That's what he had to say to the girl...

Cheryl made her to the great hall , to Slytherin house table were all her friends are supposed to be , the last day at Hogwarts one year has passed ,she will no more be a fourth year student , she won't see her friends for TWO WHOLE MONTHS but at least she will have Charles at home Thanks God she thought .
when Cheryl entered the hall she smelled the food , and she saw almost all the different kinds of food on the tables but she couldn't see any of her friends yet so she sat at the end of the table alone feeling a little discomfortable because her friends hadn't joined the feast yet , so she continued to think about her year and how amazing it was and how her next year at Hogwarts will be .
